Sotogrande afronta a partir de la segunda quincena del mes de julio, que justo arranca cuando ve la luz esta nueva edición de El Periódico de Sotogrande, probablemente su ‘particular mes’ más importante y de mayor ajetreo del año. Un mes artificial, partido entre dos naturales, que pondrá en balanza lo mejor que tiene para ofrecer la zona con lo mejor que puede canalizar y llegar hasta el cliente, turista, residente o visitante, destinatario final en cualquiera de los casos. Una cuarentena, prácticamente, en la que la zona reluce con sus mejores galas, con un ‘look’ de verano para seducir y atraer a los ‘ilustres visitantes’ que una temporada estival más acuden a la llamada de Sotogrande. A la llamada del descanso, el ocio, el deporte, la playa y por su puesto, de los buenos servicios; obligación ineludible para todos y cada uno de los sectores.

La zona presenta un aspecto renovado en diferentes puntos que hacen aún más evidente la nueva apuesta de muchos de sus principales activos y que en estos días se convertirán en la referencia y grandes puntos de encuentro a lo largo de la campaña. Por un lado, Sotogrande S. A., que ya deslumbró el pasado año con la aparición de su ‘Mercado de Levante’ en la zona de La Marina, este año se reinventa de nuevo y no estará solo. A considerable number of business people, especially from the gastronomy and art sectors, have moved into the area along La Marina and they will liven up this area even more during the summer season. The Marina area will also have new features such as the new roof structures. La oferta y la demanda se equilibran este verano Cada verano surge la misma cuestión, ¿hay más gente en esta primera quincena o es parecido a la del año anterior? La respuesta no es fácil adivinarla, la memoria es frágil y de un año a otro no se retiene fácilmente. Yo diría que hay otros elementos por lo cuales se indaga con mayor éxito: por las viviendas disponibles en 1 José Luis García alquiler, por el consumo Editor/Director en lo supermercados o jlgarcia@grupohcp.com por el propio del agua y energía. Así, a ‘grosso modo’, da la sensación que sí, que hay mayor ocupación. Pero esta pregunta no debería preocuparnos tanto como así ver qué intenciones traen nuestros ilustres visitantes: mas dinero para consumir e invertir o por el contrario tratan de estirar más el presupuesto para disfrutar de este rincón emblemático. Lo único que sí tenemos claro es que este año la zona arroja un balance positivo en lo que se refiere a nuevos establecimientos dedicados a la gastronomía y el ocio, además de los existentes desde hace ya

bastante tiempo. Lo único que se echa en falta es que seguimos con el déficit en plazas hoteleras, por lo tanto, comer, beber y disfrutar es un hecho que claramente evolucionó, al menos en locales, porque la oferta en estos momentos es superior a la demanda, quizás en agosto se equilibre pero ¿y a partir de septiembre? Quién sabe, igual a partir de este otoño se toman muchas decisiones, entre otras, quedarse a vivir permanentemente todo el año, que por otra parte no es una mala idea, todo lo contrario. Aquí ya tenemos muchos servicios y siguen creciendo. Precisamente en eso quiero hacer hincapié. La prestación de los servicios debe ser impecable, es nuestra mejor baza para retener y agradar a nuestros queridos e ilustres visitantes, y cómo no, a los residentes habituales. Porque si hemos comentado que la oferta se ha disparado, ahora que tenemos mas servicios es el mejor momento para reflexionar y ver que la competitividad siempre es buena y nos pone las pilas para captar más clientes, si cabe, o mejorar los propios servicios. Sólo un detalle, la moda de los lugares de tapas fue una salida genial para los tiempos de crisis y por poco dinero podías salir y tomar unas copas con unas tapas y la cartera no se enojaba. Y debería seguir así, pero no lo esta siendo en ciertas ocasiones, ya que una sentada con dos rondas de tapas y vinos te puede salir mucho mas caro que compartir mesa y mantel relajado. Así que sugerimos un mayor equilibrio entre la gastronomía minimalista y la economía del consumidor. Los lugares estratégicos actualmente son espectaculares. El bu-

levar de Torreguadiaro sigue siendo una apuesta segura, con el único lunar de que aparcar es una verdadera lotería. Ya se divisa el color intenso amarillo en sus bordillos como una sugerencia de que el coche hay que dejarlo bien lejos. El otro punto llamativo es la Ribera del Marlín, que en tan sólo dos años ha dado un vuelco increíble. La decoración de la ribera es espectacular, hay que felicitar aquí a Sotogrande por lo exitoso del proyecto, además este año el Mercado de Levante, junto con los restaurantes que ya abrieron sus puertas, ofrece un aspecto inmejorable. Sotogrande muestra una cara increíblemente renovada. Y una recomendación, aquí SI HAY aparcamiento, porque su parking, con mas de trescientas plazas, es una opción a tener muy en cuenta, con la particularidad de que es totalmente gratuito. Las playas y su controversia de la aportación de arena nos deja en la situación de que sí que hay, pero puede que no haya playa; todo por no completar lo previsto inicialmente. Confiemos que no tengamos temporal en pleno verano y este año los residentes de los ‘Lacasitos’ puedan pasear por “su playa”. Y por las tardes, no lo duden, por fin llegó la gran temporada de polo. Este año disfrutaremos de los mejores jugadores del planeta; a final de julio empieza a rodar la bocha. Y terminar en el ‘After Polo’ como colofón a la mejor jornada posible. The only thing that is clear is that this year the area has a positive overall balance in terms of new establishments specialising in gastronomy and leisure, in addition to those that have been around quite a while. The only thing missing is that we still have a deficient number of hotel spaces, therefore eating, drinking, and enjoying is something that has clearly evolved, at least in premises, because the range at the moment is superior to demand, perhaps it will be balance out in August but what about September onward? Who knows, perhaps in Autumn lots of decisions will be taken, including among others, the decision to live here permanent-

ly throughout the year, which on the other hand is not a bad idea, quite the opposite in fact. We have a lot of services here and they continue to grow. That is precisely what I want to emphasise. The provision of services must be impeccable, it is our best trick in terms of retaining and pleasing our beloved and illustrious visitors, and of course, the residents too. Because, as we have commented that the offer has shot up, now we have more services it is now the best time to reflect and see that competiveness is always good, and really make an effort to capture more clients, if possible, or to improve the services themselves. Just one thing, the trend of the tapas places was an excellent options for the period of crisis, for a small amount of money you could go out and have a few drinks and some tapas, without emptying your wallet. That is how things should continue, but not how they are at times, as two rounds of tapas and wine can cost a lot more than a proper relaxed sit-down meal. So, we suggest greater balance between minimalist gastronomy and the consumer´s budget. The strategic places are currently spectacular. Torreguadiaro boulevard continues to be a safe bet, with the only issue being that parking is a real lottery. You can already see the intense yellow colour on the curb edges, suggesting that you

have to leave the car far away. The other striking area is La Ribera del Marlín, which has made an incredible turn round in just two years. The decoration of La Ribera is spectacular, here we need to congratulate Sotogrande or the success of the project. Also, this year the Mercado de Levante could not look any better, along with the restaurants already open. Sotogrande is looking incredibly renovated. A recommendation, here THERE IS parking, because the area´s car park, with more than three hundred spaces, is an option to really bear in mind, with the unique feature that it is totally free. The beaches and the controversy over the provision of sand leaves us in a situation where there is, but there may not be a beach; all because what was originally planned was not completed. We hope that we will not have a storm in the middle of summer and that the residents of the “Lacasitos” houses can walk along their beach. In the afternoons, have no doubts, the great polo season has finally arrived. This year we will enjoy the best players on the planet; the ball will start rolling at the end of July. The After Polo will serve as the best possible way to end the day. Come and enjoy everything that Sotogrande has to offer. El fuego golpea la Alcaidesa y la Sierra del Arca 1 Jesús Sanz

Los incendios forestales han sacudido el Campo de Gibraltar. Al mediodía del martes 12 de julio La Línea se sacudió por el fuego, que afectó a Alcaidesa y la zona de Santa Margarita, un incendio que al cierre de esta edición estaba ya controlado según anunciaba el Infoca, misma fuente que dio por extinguido a las 12:50 del jueves 14 de julio el otro incendio, que se originó en la Sierra del Arca (San Roque) la madrugada del martes 14 al miércoles 15 de julio. El dispositivo desplegado en La

Línea, al cierre de esta edición de El Periódico de Sotogrande, anunció que el fuego estaba controlado desde las 8:00 horas del jueves. En la localidad continuaban desplegados 14 bomberos forestales del Infoca, un agente de Medio Ambiente y dos camiones autobomba tratando de extinguir lo que restaba. Fuentes del Infoca apuntaron a que ambos incendios fueron intencionados, localizando cinco focos diferentes, cuatro en el de La Línea y uno en el de San Roque. En cuanto a las estimacio-

nes de lo afectado por el fuego, detallaron que en La Línea se ha calcinado 350 hectáreas de matorral, mientras que en San Roque ardió 18 hectáreas de matorral, pinar y alcornoque. Más de 500 personas tuvieron que ser desalojadas por el incendio de La Línea. Por su parte, el incendio declarado en San Roque obligó al desalojo durante la madrugada de este miércoles de 120 personas, en su mayoría niños, del albergue Cortijo La Alcaldesa, localizado en la Sierra del Arca.

In turn, the fire in San Roque, forced the evacuation of 120 people, mainly children, during the early hours of Wednesday, from the Cortijo La Alcaldesa hostel in Sierra del Arca.

La torre de control del Puerto de Sotogrande se convirtió en el scenario para la presentación del IV Concurso Gastronómico “Porsche Gourmet 2016”, en el que participan establecimientos del municipio. Diez restaurantes de la zona del Campo de Gibraltar competirán por un premio al “Mejor Plato”. El jurado otorgará un solo premio: Premio Porsche Panamera Gourmet al ‘Mejor plato’. Cada chef de cada establecimiento deberá elaborar un plato, con su receta propia, siendo así de libre elección. Para su valoración, el jurado en esta edición del Certamen serán los clientes de Porsche, propietarios que han adquirido un vehículo Porsche en los últimos 5 años. Para ello, el estableci-

Prevención de ruidos durante el verano Con la llegada la época veraniega, especialmente, los ruidos en la Urbanización se presentan como un foco de conﬂictos y diﬁcultan la tranquilidad de los vecinos de Sotogrande. Por ello, la EUC recomienda la realización de trabajos generadores de ruidos como los producidos por motosierras y sopladoras principalmente, en horarios comprendidos entre las 10:00 y 14:00 horas en la mañana y entre las 17:00 y las 19:00 horas durante la tarde. En este sentido, la Entidad ya adquirió en 2012 sopladores de última generación para reducir los ruidos en todo lo posible. También se la ha comunicado a las empresas representativas del sector de jardinería en la zona los horarios establecidos, logrando con la colaboración de todos (entidad, empresas y particulares), un ambiente de armonía en la Urbanización, al estilo de Sotogrande.

With the arrival of the summer season in particular, noise in the resort can become a point of conﬂict, making it diﬃcult for Sotogrande residents to enjoy the peace and quiet. Consequently, the EUC recommends that any work which creates large amounts of noise, such as the use of chainsaws and leaf blowers, should be restricted to between 10am - 2pm in the morning and 5pm - 7pm in the evening. To this end, in 2012 the Entity acquired the latest model of leaf blowers to reduce noise as much as possible. Local businesses in the gardening industry have also been informed of the established hours, so with everyone’s collaboration (the EUC, businesses and individuals), we can enjoy an atmosphere of harmony in the resort, just the way Sotogrande should be.

Este año, la Entidad Urbanística de Conservación Parques de Sotogrande, ha reforzado la señalización advirtiendo la presencia habitual, sobre todo en esta época del año, de ciclistas por los viales de nuestra urbanización De este modo también se ha potenciado la señalización viaria tradicional con carteles informativos en las diferentes entradas de la urbani-

zación informando acerca la presencia de ciclistas infantiles, con los que contar con un mayor cuidado. También se instalarán en breve aparca bicicletas en la zona más próxima a la playa.

Oportunidades tras el ‘Brexit’ Hemos podido comprobar el impacto negativo del Brexit en las pocas semanas transcurridas desde el 23 de junio. Sin embargo, mirando a un plazo más largo, es posible que el Brexit, e independientemente del grado en que se concrete en la práctica, se convierta en una oportunidad.

Es lógico que haya habido inicialmente mucho temor en Gran Bretaña, y que se hiciera patente en el caso de las inversiones inmobiliarias, que típicamente son difíciles de liquidar a corto plazo; esto pasó también en España cuando estalló la crisis hace diez años. Pero el mercado puede recuperarse, y ya hay operaciones en las que los inversores están aprovechando la caída de los precios. No hay motivos para preocuparse por los

efectos del Brexit en el sector inmobiliario español, como escribió el experto José Luis Ruiz Bartolomé en Expansión: “Aunque el desconcierto inicial frene la compra de viviendas turísticas por parte de británicos, el efecto es muy limitado. Hace una década los ingleses suponían alrededor del 60% de las compras de extranjeros en España. Hoy, mucho más diversificados en clientes, los compradores provenientes de Reino Unido están en el entorno del 25%. Antes de que España entrara en la UE, los británicos eran nuestros principales clientes y, si se van, no hay ninguna razón de peso para que no sigan siéndolo”. Si el panorama no se despeja a medio plazo, es posible que los fondos de inversión inmobiliaria con sede en Londres decidan dirigirse hacia España, y algo parecido podría suceder en otros campos del sector

financiero y bancario. Pero las oportunidades no están abiertas sólo fuera de Gran Bretaña. Sus autoridades son conscientes del riesgo que plantea el Brexit, y por eso se esfuerzan en aclarar que no van a conspirar contra las fuentes de su propia riqueza. El ministro de Economía, George Osborne, escribió hace poco en el Wall Street Journal un artículo en el que insistía que el Gobierno no iba a centrarse en lo peor del Brexit, es decir, en el nacionalismo, el proteccionismo y el intervencionismo, porque sabe que eso sería la garantía de la ruina británica. En vez de ello, las autoridades pueden profundizar en una línea liberalizadora: “Britain is open to business”, dijo Osborne. No sabemos qué hará Theresa May, pero si la nueva Primera Ministra camina por esa senda, el resultado será positivo.

But opportunities are not only open outside of Great Britain. The authorities are aware of the risks that Brexit carries, and so are making efforts to clarify that they are not going to conspire against the sources of their own wealth. The chancellor George Osborne recently wrote an article for the Wall Street Journal in which he insisted that the Government wasn’t going to focus on the worst of Brexit, ie nationalism, protectionism and interventionism, because he knows that would guarantee British ruin. Instead, they will delve into a deregulatory line: “Britain is open to business,” said Osborne. We do not know what Theresa May will do, but if the new Prime Minister continues down this path, the result will be a positive one.

La falta de plazas de aparcamiento, un problema que se repite cada verano 1 Manuel Gil

Pasan las hojas del calendario, el marcador indica un nuevo verano y en la lista asuntos de infraestructuras sin resolver, la alarmante falta de plazas para el estacionamiento de vehículos vuelve a aparecer en la parte más alta de la clasificación. Otra temporada estival más, y con esta ya van unas cuantas, las medidas adoptadas por las diferentes entidades y administraciones competentes se tornan estériles a la vista de cómo se congestionan y desbordan diferentes áreas del Valle del Guadiaro en las que es prácticamente una utopía encontrar una plaza de aparcamiento disponible, especialmente en todas aquellas que se ubiquen en los diferentes puntos de acceso a las playas. Sólo es necesario echar un vistazo a lo largo de Torreguadiaro, principalmente en las jornadas de

mayor calor, y especialmente los fines de semana, para comprobar como además de no hallarse prácticamente ni una sola plaza de aparcamiento, muchos vehículos se encuentran apostados en zonas no habilitadas para el estacionamiento: arcenes, aceras, áreas ajardinadas y otros puntos que pueden llegar a convertirse en todo un peligro en el momento de socorrer una emergencia. Principalmente, Torreguadiaro es uno de los mayores ‘puntos calientes’ durante la temporada estival tanto en la temporada de playa, con la masiva afluencia de usuarios y bañistas, como en el horario nocturno. Uno de los mayores centros gastronómicos del municipio, con mayor aglomeración de restaurantes, terrazas y chiringuitos, se ve profundamente desbordado para dar cabida al

reflejo de la preocupación del sector sobre este tema. Zonas de conflicto

En cierto grado, con capacidad para menos de medio centenar de vehículos, la zona del antiguo cuartel de la Guardia Civil (tras las dos torres

y recientemente adecentando para su uso), alivia en cierta medida esta carencia aunque sigue siendo insuficiente. En menor medida, las zonas que hace dos veranos acondicionó el Consistorio, retirando metros de guardarraíles a ambos extremos de la Avenida Mar del Sur (tanto en la zona de Las Camelias como pasadas las dos Torres hasta el conocido ‘Milla de Plata’), suponen una alternativa para un número limitado de coches pero sigue siendo insuficiente para la demanda de plazas actual. Ello está provocando que muchas de las calles que dan acceso a las diferentes urbanizaciones situadas en la parte alta de Torreguadiaro estén siendo también desbordadas, dejando imágenes con vehículos mal estacionados, subidos en aceras o en lugares no preservados para el estacionamiento de los mismos. Motivando una cierta peligrosidad que a continuación se expone. Incluso en la barriada de los pescadores, en un acceso limitado para residentes, numerosos vehículos acaban accediendo y estacionando a pie de playa. Otro de los puntos de acceso a las playas, concretamente a la de Sotogrande, tanto a un lado del río Guadiaro como a otro, dejan imágenes problemáticas y por

y no se puede acceder a las casas”, explica uno de los vecinos de Torreguadiaro. Más allá de la playa

En la zona de la Escuela de Vela, se pueden apreciar coches mal estacionados, subidos en zonas ajardinadas o no habilitadas para tal uso en los diferentes accesos por las urbanizaciones de la zona. Lo mismo pasa junto al Club de Playa, con un insuficiente área de aparcamiento. Problemas y consecuencias Desde estas páginas, a título editorial y de opinión que no informativo, durante muchos años se ha solicitado una mayor visión de conjunto a la hora de la imposición de multas, especialmente por parte de la Policía Local,

en diferentes puntos del litoral, como consecuencia de la escasez de plazas. Siempre y cuando, estas ubicaciones no interrumpiesen el tráfico ordinario ni se convirtiesen en un peligro. Pero la mala práctica, en la mayoría de las ocasiones, de muchos usuarios en el estacionamiento de vehículos, especialmente en calles con viviendas y urbanizaciones están convirtiendo en todo un peligro para la zona. “Los fines de semana los coches se suben en las aceras, ocupan los dos márgenes de la calzada, los dejan aparcados en cualquier sitio, …, cualquier día hay una desgracia o se necesita de una emergencia

Este problema de aparcamiento se extiende también a otros puntos del Valle del Guadiaro, ocurre, por ejemplo, dentro de La Marina de Sotogrande. Pese a contar, por parte de la promotora de un aparcamiento gratuito subterráneo para dar cobertura a los usuarios que acudan tanto al Puerto como al Mercado de Levante y toda esa zona, una de las más animadas de Sotogrande en verano. Pese a ello, se mantienen las escenas de coches en zonas ajardinadas, en áreas no habilitadas y que dificultan tanto el tránsito de peatones como interfieren en la una imagen poco apropiada

del destino turístico. También, como ya se desgranó hace algunas ediciones del periódico con un informe. Desde el punto de vista comercial y residencial, la zona de Sierra Bermeja, en Pueblo Nuevo también cuenta con un importante déficit de plazas de estacionamiento. Desde el Consistorio se han aplicado ciertas medidas y se encuentra en fase de estudio la aplicación de nuevas alternativas. Un problema el del aparcamiento que parece que en este verano de 2016 tampoco contará con una solución y menos a largo plazo, ya que se irá incrementado año a año. Recuperar y hacer realidad los proyectos de un parking en Torreguadiaro o la habilitación de parcelas para tal uso, parecen las pocas vías posibles para solucionar el conflicto.

The lack of parking spaces, a recurrent problem every summer The pages of the calendar turn, the marker indicates a new summer, and on the list of unresolved infrastructure issues, the alarming lack of car parking spaces once again features at the top of the list. Once again this summer season, and it has now been a few, the measures adopted by the different entities and administrations in charge will appear to be blind when it comes to seeing how different areas in Valle del Guadiaro are congested and overflowing. In these areas it is practically utopic to find an available parking space, especially in all of the areas that are located at the different access points to the beaches. You simply need to have a glance around Torreguadiaro, mainly on the hottest days, and especially at weekends, in order to see how in addition to there being practically no free spaces, many vehicles are also parked in zones not fit for that purpose: hard shoulders of roads, pavements, landscaped areas and other points that could become a danger when it comes to attending to an emergency. Mainly, Torreguadiaro is one of the main “hot spots” during the summer season, both in terms of the beach seasons, with massive crowds of users and bathers, as well as at night. It is one of the main gastronomic centres in the municipality, with the largest concentration of restaurants, terraces and beach bars, is really overcrowded in order to fit the number of people that normally come to the neighbourhood.

“There are a lot of people that will end up choosing not to come to Torreguadiaro to dine or spend the day at the beach. The difficulty in finding parking spaces ends up being a determining factor in choosing other destinations”, explains one of the hotel managers, reflecting the concern in the sector about the issue. Conflict Areas The main lung for clearing up the considerable number of vehicles in Torreguadiaro is the two story car park, located in the upper area of the beach. There are two extensive esplanades that provide coverage to a significant number of vehicles but on special occasions such as the current one with the celebration of the Fiestas del Carmen, with even more people, its capacity is considerably reduced, and it left with practically a single floor.

To a certain extent, with a capacity for less than fifty vehicles, the area of the old Guardia Civil headquarters (behind the two towers and recently fitted out for use), somewhat relives the lack of parking although it is still insufficient. To a lesser degree, the areas the Council fitted out two summers ago, removing the guard rails at both ends of Avenida Mar del Sur (in the Las Camelias areas as well as past the two Towers to the well-known “Silver Mile”) are an alternative for a limited number of cars but they remain insufficient for the current demand on spaces. That means that many of the streets providing access to the different resorts located in the upper part of Torreguadiaro are also overflowing, leaving scenes of badly parked cars up on pavements or in places that are not designed for parking. This causes a certain level of dangerousness

which is outlined below. Even in the fishing district, where there is limited access for residents, several vehicles end up entering and parking right down by the beach. Another of the access points to beaches, specifically the one to Sotogrande beach, on both sides of the Guadiaro River, causes problematic scenes that are also typical every summer. In the Sailing School area, you can see badly parked cars, vehicles on landscapes areas and in places that are not fitted out for that purpose in the different access points to resorts in the area. The same happens next to the Beach Club, with insufficient parking.

Problems and consequences This newspaper, in its editorial and opinion sections, has for many years requested greater overall vision when it comes to imposing fines, especially by the Local Police, in different areas of the coast, as a consequence of the lack of parking places. This is particularly the case, when the parked vehicles do not interrupt ordinary traffic or become a danger. However, bad practices, the majority of times, by many users when it comes to car parking, especially on streets with properties and resorts, are becoming a real danger in the area. “At the weekend, cars are up on pavements, they occupy the two sides of the road, people leave vehicles parked everywhere…, there could be an unfortunate incident any day, or the need

to attend to an emergency, and it would not be possible to access the houses”, explains one of the residents of Torreguadiaro. Beyond the beach The problem of parking also extends to other areas of Valle del Guadiaro, for example Sotogrande Marina. Despite the developed providing free underground parking in order to cover the needs of users that come to the Port and the “Mercado de Levante” and all of that area, one of the busiest in Sotogrande during summer. Despite that there are scenes of cars parked in landscaped areas, areas

that are not designed for parking, and which make it difficult for pedestrians to walk around, and also give a bad image of the tourism destination. Also, this issue was examined a few issues ago in the newspaper with a report. From a commercial and residential view, there is also a significant lack of parking spaces in the Sierra Bermeja area in Pueblo Nuevo. Pienso que el Ayuntamiento debe actuar, como por ejemplo alquilar terrenos para habilitar más plazas de estacionamiento”

Las tarifas de agua en Sotogrande, un conflicto vigente La concesionaria informa a los usuarios que las futuras facturas “se irán ajustando a la normativa vigente” e interpreta que “ningún Tribunal establece ningún derecho a devolución o compensación”. Por su parte, los vecinos no entienden que se sigan aplicando unas tarifas anuladas judicialmente 1 M. Gil

Todo indica que el conflicto entre los vecinos de Sotogrande y la concesionaria actual del suministro de agua potable, Aguas del Valle del Guadiaro SLU, carecerá de una solución a corto plazo. Tras la información que publicó este medio hace algunas semanas en las que explicaba la sentencia del Tribunal Supremo que anulaba las tarifas aprobadas en el año 2011, y su compensación del sobrecoste en dichos años (un 30% aproximadamente) aunque no detallaba el procedimiento de ésta; las interpretaciones de dicha resolución por ambas partes están lejos de ser parejas.

Por su parte, la concesionara informó a los usuarios a través de un comunicado de que este pronunciamiento “se refiere a una aspecto formal sobre que las tarifas debían tramitarse como tasa en lugar de como precio privado”. Detalla que “ningún Tribunal se ha pronunciado sobre la cuantía de las tarifas aprobadas” y que éstas se basan en “las disposiciones legales y se irán ajustando en cada momento a la normativa vigente y a los criterios de los tribunales”. Además, añade que “ningún Tribunal ha establecido ningún derecho a devolución o compensación económica”, respecto al sobrecoste

de estos años. Respecto a los usuarios en cuestión, Juan Carmona, uno de los representantes del equipo jurídico que ha llevado la causa de los vecinos, explica que “no estamos de acuerdo con esta interpretación de Aguas del Valle del Guadiaro SLU”. “Si hay una sentencia en firme que anula las tarifas, no entendemos que éstas se sigan aplicando en la actualidad, por ello, estamos estudiando la comunicación que haremos a la sala del TSJA para que ordene la aplicación de la sentencia”, afirma. “Además, entendemos que la sentencia comprende la obligación de la devolución o

refacturación del sobrecoste de estos años”, matiza. Recordar que el litigio judicial daba la razón a los vecinos en dos instancias (TSJA y TS) , representados por la EUC Parques de Sotogrande y la Comunidad de Propietarios de Apartamientos Playa y Casas del Río Puerto de Sotogrande. Añadir que la Mancomunidad acordó en mayo reiniciar un expediente para aprobar las nuevas tasas. Por su parte, la Entidad de Conservación también se ha puesto en comunicación con los vecinos, a los que representa,

en referencia a este tema y en el hilo de la posición antes mencionada. Entiende que la próxima factura debe calcularse en base a los criterios anteriores de 2011 (ya que las actuales están anuladas en la sentencia) y que existe base en firme para la devolución de los importes pagados en exceso. Además, también ha comunicado a sus vecinos que para las reclamaciones, que deberán ser individuales y voluntarias, soliciten el histórico de facturas de este periodo para el cálculo del importe abonado en exceso en las facturas.

La presidenta de la Junta de Andalucía, Susana Díaz, anunció la apertura en este 2016 del Hospital de La Línea de la Concepción (Cádiz), que dará servicio a más de 100.000 ciudadanos del Campo de Gibraltar tras una inversión autonómica superior a los 57 millones de euros. La presidenta, que visitó las instalaciones del futuro hospital, definió el edificio como una “infraestructura sanitaria de primer nivel, reivindicada por los ciudadanos y que viene a mejorar el sistema público de salud”. Díaz señaló que se habían dado ya

“todos los pasos necesarios” para la puesta en marcha del Hospital, incluida la licitación del equipamiento y del material, y ha confiado en que el Ayuntamiento de La Línea pueda completar también los trámites de competencia municipal que están pendientes. Ac-

tualmente, el centro está finalizado, pendiente solo de culminar los accesos y la urbanización exterior. Ya se están realizando los trámites necesarios para la adquisición del equipamiento electromédico, cofinanciado con fondos FEDER, por un importe total de 3,4 millones.

Igualmente, se están realizando trámites para la adquisición de pequeño equipamiento y mobiliario con cargo a los presupuestos de la Plataforma Logística Sanitaria de Cádiz por importe de casi 2,2 millones de euros. Además de las 240 camas individuales, el nuevo centro dispondrá de un área quirúrgica (9 quirófanos), una Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos con capacidad para 34 personas, 48 módulos de consultas externas, 19 salas de exploraciones y servicios de telemedicina y radiología (tres salas de rayos X, dos para telemando,

dos ecógrafos, un mamógrafo, un TAC y una resonancia magnética nuclear). Asimismo, las nuevas dependencias cuentan con un área de Urgencias que tendrá ocho consultas, un box de recuperación con tres puestos, diez camas de observación de media estancia, 14 sillones de corta estancia y cuatro salas de curas –yesos y exploraciones, además de las zonas de espera para familiares y paciente-. El centro incorpora también un nuevo Hospital de Día Médico, dotado con 24 plazas y que prestará atención a pacientes sin necesidad de ingreso.

Un escenario de lujo para una música que es una delicia para los oídos. San Roque Suites acogió el concierto de la Coral Polifónica y la Joven Orquesta Sinfónica Ciudad de La Línea. El espectáculo, para el cual la entrada era libre, ofreció la posibilidad de dar un donativo que ha sido destinado a favor de la Coral para la compra de instrumentos y otros detalles para la formación de nuevo cuño. En un entorno al aire libre, en la exclusividad de San Roque Suites, el concierto estuvo precedido de un mercadillo artesanal a cargo de Artlibre, productos elaborados por artesanos del Campo de Gibraltar. El concierto de la Coral Polifónica y la Joven Orquesta Sinfónica Ciudad de La Línea constó de dos partes. En la primera, sonó Una Cosa Rara, Puerta Tierra (Recuerdos de Viaje, La

The first part had the following songs; Una Cosa Rara, Puerta Tierra (Recuerdos de Viaje, La Reina del Placer, La Bella Lola, El Abanico, Signum, En el Lavadero and Sinfonía en ReM. Following a brief break for the artists to get their breath back, the show continued with the second part, and the large crowd attending the pleasant evening enjoyed Waltz nº2 Suite Jazz, Tutttifäntchen, Habanera de Cádiz, Era una Flor, Los Guaduales, Si Te Quiero, My Way, Café de Chinitas, Anda Jaleo, Zorongo and Ode to Joy.

Plazos para recurrir a Hacienda Si usted o su empresa son objeto de una comprobación por parte de Hacienda que finaliza con una liquidación, dispondrá de un mes para presentar el correspondiente recurso. ¿Afrontamos un nuevo campeonato apasionante en Sotogrande? Totalmente de acuerdo. Este año contaremos con alrededor de 25 formaciones entre los tres niveles (Alto, Mediano y Bajo handicap). Entre ellos, se encuentran varios de los patrones más importantes del mundo y las estructuras de equipos más potentes. Además, a nivel de jugadores, acuden a Sotogrande 6 de los 8 protagonistas de la última ﬁnal del Abierto de Palermo: Adolfo Cambiaso, Pablo McDonough, Juan Martín Nero, David Stirling, Facundo Pieres y Nico Pieres. Gran partido de polo el que brindaron a los aficionados en Sotogrande Woodchester y Ayala con motivo de la final de la XXIII edición del Memorial Enrique Zobel, que tuvo en este 2016 al equipo de Woodchester como flamante campeón tras doblegar por 10-9 a Ayala en las instalaciones de Ayala Polo Club. Mucha afluencia de público para disfrutar del torneo, encuadrado en el calendario de temporada de verano de Santa María Polo Club, que ya ve el nivel de juego al alza a la espera de la llegada del esperado Torneo Internacional de Polo.

Woodchester lideró en todo momento el marcador en su duelo ante Ayala, que de vez en cuando en buenas ráfagas de juego se acercaba para tratar de voltear la situación. Los cinco chukkers, de mucha calidad de juego, se decantaron finalmente a favor del equipo en el que jugaron Mario Gómez (4), Diogo Gallego (4), Tolito Fernández Ocampo (4) y Craig McKinney (0). Sergio García, Rafael Cabrera-Bello, Carlota Ciganda y Azahara Muñoz constituyen la expedición española de golf para los Juegos Olímpicos de Río de Janeiro 2016, cuya competición tendrá lugar entre el 11 y el 14 de agosto –categoría masculina– y entre el 17 y el 20 de agosto, en el caso de la categoría femenina. Los cuatro golfistas citados han ocupado los mejores puestos dentro del Ranking Olímpico de Golf –basado a su vez en el Ranking Mundial Oficial de Golf. En concreto, Sergio García y Rafael Cabrera-Bello han ocupado los puestos 6 y 9, respectivamente. Por su parte, Carlota Ciganda y Azahara Muñoz han concluido en los puestos 20 y 23 en el Ran-

king Mundial Olímpico Femenino. La capitanía de los equipos olímpicos españoles de golf mascu-

lino y femenino corresponde a Manuel Piñero y Marta Figueras-Dotti, designados oficialmente en noviembre de 2015.

El Dressage Sotogrande acoge el II Concurso Territorial de Doma Clásica de la II Copa de Andalucía 1 Redacción

Una jornada increíble de Doma en Sotogrande, equipos de la comarca y de otras provincias se acudieron cono medio centenar de binomios a concurso en Sotogrande Hípica, con motivo de la cita organizado por el Dressage Sotogrande de la II Copa de Andalucía. Diego Ramírez, jinete y entrenador del equipo, elogió los resultados del equipo local, con una fuerte presencia de 16 binomios en pista y un magnífico balance no sólo en podios del concurso, 6 Oros, 5 Platas y 1 bronce, sino también en las puntuaciones. En Asiento y Promoción, Curro Ramírez (5) y Mateo Martín (6), ambos

a lomos del pony Morning Surprise, firmaron Oro y lata respectivamente. En Promoción 1 debutaron tres nuevas amazonas del equipo, la linense Daniela Recaño (12) y las gibraltareñas Rebecca MacHard (13) e India Borges, montando a Piropo y Guardian, para sellar Oro, Plata y un quinto puesto. En Alevín, Lola Martín Cupido (11), con Gatsby, gano su categoría, acompañada de Teresa Aja, montando a Guardian, que se colgó la Plata. En Promoción 2, Ángeles Guerrero (14) y Nina Urnieta (14) firmaron igual resultado. Martina Torino (15), con su Pura Raza Español Orión, se colgó el Oro de Promoción 4, mismo metal que

en Juveniles 1* obtuvo Coral Buenestado (16) montando a Fudji, seguida a pocas décimas por la Plata de Patricia Martínez (14) a lomos del Oldemburgo Kalem. Completaron la participación del Dressage Sotogrande María Recaño (17) montando la PRE Cantinera en Rider 2 y en Clásica 1 la sueca afincada en Sotogrande Karin Orsing con la PRE Condesa, ambas amazonas obtuvieron un quinto puesto. También, destacar la buena actuación del debutante Manuel Villegas en Potros de 4 años. El Concurso, que contó con el patrocinio de P&P y San Roque Suites, se coronó con una divertida entrega de premios.

Sotogrande Dressage hosts the 2nd Territorial Classic Dressage Competition of the 2nd Andalusia Cup It was an incredible day of Dressage in Sotogrande, teams from the district and other provinces came with fifty competing competition pairings at Sotogrande Riding Centre, as a result of the event organised by Sotogrande Dressage for the 2nd Andalusia Cup. Diego Ramírez, rider and team trainer, praised the results of the local team, with a strong presence of 16 pairings competing and a magnificent overall result, not only on the competition podiums, 6 Golds, 5 Silvers and 1 Bronze, but also in terms of scores. In Seating and Promotion, Curro Ramírez (5) and Mateo Martín (6), both riding the pony Morning Surprise, took Gold and Silver respectively. In the Under-12s category,

Sotogrande mantiene su impresionante año 2016, respecto a lo que el mundo de la vela se refiere, y acogerá una nueva regata internacional durante el próximo mes de septiembre, concretamente del 22 al 25. Se trata de la cuarta prueba del Racing Tour GC32, un prestigioso circuito europeo en el compiten los catamaranes más rápidos del panorama, considerados de última generación. Hace tan sólo unos días que la Marina de Sotogrande confirmó convertirse el próximo mes de septiembre en el campo de regatas de la cuarta cita del calendario de este importante circuito. Tras los mundiales de RC44 y J80, las aguas de Sotogrande afrontan su tercera cita internacional en un 2016 para el recuerdo, desde el prisma náutico. Los GC32 son unas embarcaciones de 10 metros de largo y 6 de

ancho, considerados los yates de carreras más rápidos del mundo. Esta competición está dirigida a equipos profesionales y a particulares que quieran experimentar lo último en alto rendimiento en regatas de vela, una oportunidad sólo disponible en equipos de la Copa América. Sotogrande will host a heat of the GC32 Sailing Racing Tour in September The prestigious European circuit, in which the world´s fastest catamarans compete, is holding its fourth event in Sotogrande and it becomes the third international event to be held in this destination during 2016 Sotogrande has maintained its impressive 2016, in terms of the sailing world, and it will host another international race in September, specifically, from 22 to 25.The event is the fourth heat of the GC32 Racing Tour, a prestigious European circuit in which the fastest catamarans in sailing compete and it is considered to be cutting edge. It has only been a few days since Sotogrande Marina confirmed that it will be the racing venue in September for the fourth event of the year in this important circuit. Following the RC44 an J80 world cups, Sotogrande´s waters are preparing for the third international event in a 2016 to be remembered, from a sailing perspective. The GC32 are vessels measuring 10 metres long and 6 metres wide and they are considered to be the fastest racing yachts in the world. This competition is aimed at professional teams and individuals that want to experiment the latest in high performance

sailing race, an opportunity that is only available to teams from the America´s Cup. These vessels, less constrained by the regulations of the America´s Cup, make it possible to enjoy a unique experience and “jump” over the sea at great speeds. The GC32 Racing Tour has been set up as a result of all these ingredients, and among other places, the 2016 edition is visiting Sotogrande Marina. The current calendar began with the event in Riva del Garda (Italy). Following

a stop in Malcesine (Italy), a special event at Lake Traunsee (Austria) and Palma de Mallorca (3-6 August); the regatta will disembark in Sotogrande from 22 to 25 September, before the finishing event in Marseille, from 13 to 16 October. Mucha emoción, durante la celebración del Torneo Social Indagrafic de Golf, al que acompañó un día espléndido en las instalaciones de La Cañada Club de Golf. La competición se jugó bajo la modalidad Stableford individual con salida al tiro. Entre los caballeros se disputaron 2 categorías y entre las damas una. La cita contó con la participación de 90 jugadores, en total. La jornada finalizó con una comida en el restaurante de la casa club de La Cañada, tras la cual se procedió a la entrega de premios. Este torneo forma parte de los ocho torneos del ranking del Club de Golf La Cañada El ganador de la primera Categoría Masculina fue Andrés Tru-

jillano Arana, acompañado en el podio por Rafael Jesús Martin Morales y Manuel Delgado Godino, como segundo y tercero de manera respectiva. En la Segunda Categoría Masculina, el triunfador fue Mario Galiano Trujillano, seguido por Jacinto Muñoz

Jerez triunfa en Sotogrande y se proclama campeón de la XII Copa Jerez El cuarteto Jerez se proclamó campeón de la XII Copa de Jerez de Polo que se disputó en las instalaciones de Santa María Polo Club. Sotogrande acogió un torneo arraigado ya en la zona y que dejó una espléndida jornada final en las canchas de Rio, lugar en el que Jerez se impuso con solvencia por 7,5-4 a Bayswater. La escuadra de Jerez, integrada por Alicia Gariador (-1), Pepe Simo (0), Daniel Gariador (2) y Nacho Domecq (3) fue superior a Bayswater en la final y dominó los cuatro chukkers, para así cobrarse la revancha de la derrota en el primer partido del torneo. El tercer puesto lo obtuvo Jolly Rogers/Dubliner, que en la final de consolación dio cuenta de Sotovila por 7,5-6 en un encuentro reñido hasta el final.

Casas y Andrés Guerrero González en los puestos de honor. Mientras que en la Categoría Damas, Josefa Gil Ruiz fue la ganadora, acompañada en segunda posición por Ana Vega Narváez y Claire Stella Unsworth, en tercer lugar.

La Cañada holds Indagrafic Social Golf Tournament The competition had involvement from almost one hundred players There was lots of excitement during the holding of the Indagrafic Social Golf Tournament, that accompanied a splendid day at the facilities at the facilities of La Cañada Golf Club. The Jerez team, comprised of Alicia Gariador (-1), Pepe Simon (0), Daniel Gariador (2) and Nacho Domecq (3) was superior to Bayswater in the final and dominated the four chukkas, to thereby take revenge for the defeat in the first game of the tournament. Los amantes del pádel tienen una cita en Sotogrande los días 23, 24 y 25 de julio con la celebración del Primer Torneo de Padel contra el Cáncer. Las inscripciones tienen un precio de 20 euros por persona. Se realizará el sorteo el 22 de julio a las 12:00 AM. Un encuentro al que asistir, no solo para disfrutar de este deporte, sino para apoyar un im-

portante proyecto de investigación cientíﬁca para la detección del cáncer de próstata mediante el olfato canino. Un proyecto pionero de gran relevancia que está siendo desarrollado por el Instituto de Investigación Sanitaria la Fé de Valencia en colaboración con la Asociación sin ánimo de lucro, CDOC (Cáncer en personas y detección olfativa canina). Un paso más en la

continua lucha contra el cáncer. Una causa que merece la pena apoyar por ser una terrible enfermedad de la que nadie está exento. Participa.

place on 22 July at midday. At the event, not only can you enjoy this sport, you can also support an important scientiﬁc research project to detect prostate cancer using sniﬀer dogs.

This is a highly signiﬁcant pioneering project that is being carried out by La Fe Health Research Institution in Valencia, in collaboration with the Charity CDOC (Cancer in people and

canine sniﬃng detection). This is another step forward in the continuous battle against cancer. This is a cause that is worth supporting as this is a terrible illness that anybody can suﬀer from.

El barco del canario Rayco Tabares gana el Campeonato del Mundo de J80, disputado en aguas de Sotogrande, en un final de infarto y suma su tercer triunfo internacional en esta modalidad 1 M. Gil / Redacción

El Princesa Yaiza hizo historia en aguas de Sotogrande al ser la única tripulación en firmar la triple corona de la clase J80, y es que el barco del canario Rayco Tabares venció in extremis, en un final de infarto, el Campeonato del Mundo de J80 Marina de Sotogrande. El francés Courrier Junior de Brezellec finalizó segundo, mientras que

el cántabro BNFit de Ignacio Camino se subió al podio en tercera posición. En una regata de infarto liderada por el equipo mallorquín de HM Hotels –J.Chacártegui-, a la postre descalificado por un fuera de línea, Rayco Tabares se alzó con un merecido título mundial dando una lección de buen hacer en la última prueba del mundial

Marina de Sotogrande y saliendo con cinco puntos de desventaja sobre el líder hasta la última jornada, Courrier Junior de Erik Brezellec. Junto a Tabares en el primer escalón y de Erik Brezellec en el segundo, el cántabro Ignacio Camino, doble campeón del mundo de J80, cerró el podio con su BNFit tras haber firmado un 14º en la regata de cierre.
