Inevitablemente, de la manera más poética que imaginamos, toca despedirse y decir “hasta pronto” al siempre entrañable verano. Las tardes estivales y los encuentros entre amigos abandonas las horas de sol y mar para adentrarse en un nuevo curso (escolar, político, económico, deportivo, social, etc.) que traerá mucho de sí y que esperamos conozcan y lean por nuestras páginas. Por utilizar el primero de los ejemplos centramos el año educativo con nuestro nuevo informe sobre la comunidad escolar que habita en Sotogrande y todo el Valle del Guadiaro. Sin duda, uno de los aspectos más a resaltar y valores potenciales que exponer en el exterior sobre la urbanización. Centro como los locales son motivo de sobra para usarlos por sí mismo como atractivos.

En el ámbito político y social, el desarrollo de los grandes proyectos que en los últimos meses les hemos venido contando marcarán la agenda del curso. Los planes y estrategias para la zona de Los Pinos o el impulso hípico de Santa María Polo Club, La Zagaleta o Sotogrande S.A. con La Reserva Club, son algunos de los grandes faros que deben guiar el crecimiento inmediato de Sotogrande como destino de calidad. Inevitably, in the most poetical manner that we can imagine, it is time to say goodbye and “see you soon” to the always pleasant summer. We leave behind the summer evenings and gatherings between friends devoted to hours of sun and sea to head into a new year (academic, political, economic, sporting, social, etc.) which will bring a lot in itself and we hope you will discover it and read about it on our pages. To use the ﬁrst of the examples, we have focused on the academic year with our new report about the school community in Sotogrande and all of Valle del Guadiaro. Undoubtedly, this is one of the aspects to most highlight and one with potential values to showcase outside the resort. The schools as well as the locals themselves are reason enough to use them as attractions.

On a political and social level, the development of the big projects that we have been reporting over the last few months will deﬁne the agenda for the year. The plans and strategies for the Los Pinos area and the equestrian momentum of Santa María Polo Club, La Zagaleta and Sotogrande S.A with La Reserva Club, are some of the big beacons that should guide the immediate growth of Sotogrande as a quality destination. Even on a larger scale, on a more national level, we are also going through an uncertain start to the political year with several challenges before us. “The Catalan question”, that the always accurate Carlos Rodríguez-Braun talks about in his column, and the separatist process, as well as the tensions midway through the legislature and the budgetary

agreements of 2018 outline a series of elements in the equation to be cleared up over the coming weeks. On a sporting level, Sotogrande never fails, it is synonymous with success. We experienced an exciting 46th International Polo Tournament (with the repeated presence, as in 2016, of the Royal Family at the ﬁnal of the Gold Cup although with more representation); and we are approaching an exciting October with the Andalucía Valderrama Masters just around the corner (19-22 Oct). With the names mentioned.... We still cannot believe them. In short, we have an active and intense social life in the resort and we celebrate maintaining this activity for as long as possible. La educación: gran valor diferencial El amplio muestrario de posibilidades a tener en cuenta antes de acometer una gran decisión precisa disponer de diferentes escalas de valores que nos permitan discernir entre las opciones oportunas y las erróneas. Basamos, jlgarcia@grupohcp.com todos, buena parte de nuestro argumentario a la hora de describir, promocionar y difundir el concepto y destino ‘Sotogrande’ en una serie de valores y atractivos muy reconocibles y contrastados, tanto de manera interna como en el escaparate exterior. [Inciso: el consumo interno también es un concepto importante a cuidar]. En más de una ocasión nos hemos encontrado inmersos en este tipo de casos: cuando acuden empresarios o visitas relacionadas con el mundo de los negocios, casi siempre, a uno le invade la duda y se plantea qué mostrar de Sotogrande, qué no, dónde comer o por qué sitios es mejor no pasar para evitar dejar un mal sabor de boca al invitado que queremos congratular e impregnar de los bondades de este privilegiado rincón. Cuestión

en la que otro día ahondaré porque se convierte, precisamente, en muy complicado, una vez pasado el ciclón del verano, encontrar en Sotograndes lugares muy activos y dinámicos que poder mostrar durante el resto de épocas del año para dejar constancia de lo que supone vivir en Sotogrande o su particular estilo de vida. La desestacionalización, ése es el gran desafío. Retomando el hilo de los baremos a analizar para tomar una decisión, en el caso de adquirir una vivienda en un destino residencial de primer nivel, o alto segmento lujo como es el caso de Sotogrande en sus diferentes sectores; el potencial inquilino tiene en cuenta asuntos muy concretos y que no deben descuidarse ni un ápice si queremos seguir conservando un perfil exclusivo y un ‘lifestyle’ propio. Este perfil de residente, entre otras cosas, más allá de grandes obscenidades o estridencias, suele interesarse más por asuntos tan importantes para su vida familiar como el confort y facilidades para los próximos 10/15 años, como mínimo. Asuntos imprescindibles como unos servicios de primer nivel, una seguridad oportuna o, como queremos destacar en esta ocasión, unos centros de alto reconocimiento a nivel educativo para la formación de su familia; son ejes y argumentos capitales para contar con un resort de gran lujo. En cierta medida, es una característica de la que ya dispone Sotogrande, un gran valor diferencial y que muchas veces no se muestra en toda su dimensión. A veces, los gigantes y masto-

dónticos golf, polo, vela o propiedades de primer nivel, diseño y vanguardia ocupan la mayoría de los grandes titulares pero hay mucho más. El Colegio Internacional de Sotogrande, como institución emblemática en la urbanización, supone un gran valor para el perfil de residente. Un centro de altísimo nivel, considerado uno de los mejores de España, es un gran valor que promocionar y mostrar. Pasa lo mismo con otros centros de gran relevancia y que se encuentran en la zona de influencia de Sotogrande, como el Colegio San José en Estepona (también entre los 100 mejores de España); y otros puntos educativos de gran nivel, públicos y privados que conviven en este especial destino al sur de Europa (Campo de Gibraltar, Algeciras, Costa del Sol, Gibraltar, etc.). En muchas ocasiones, contar con argumentos tan incontestables como una gran oferta educativa de calidad (privada y pública), de vanguardia, con los mejores adelantos, técnicas y planes de estudio; suele ser una opción más importante que una panorámica de ensueño a la costa ‘sotograndina’ (que también gusta a cualquiera). Por eso mismo, aprovechando la ocasión, desear buen curso a profesores y a esos más de 2.400 escolares que componen la comunidad escolar local (echen un vistazo al Informe de esta edición). Mientras tanto, la vida sigue y ese ansiado Andalucía Valderrama Masters, ya asoma de lejos. To a certain extent, this is a characteristic that Sotogrande already has, a great distinguishing factors and often it is not fully showcased. Sometimes, the giants and leviathans of golf, polo, sailing and top level properties, design and modernity take up most of the big headlines but there is a lot more. Sotogrande International Schools an emblematic institution in the resort, is a great asset for resident profile. A really top quality

school, considered to be one of the best in Spain, is a great asset to promote and showcase. It is the same with other highly important schools that are located in Sotogrande´s area of inﬂuence, such as Colegio San José in Estepona (also among the top 100 in Spain); and other quality public and private schools that coexist in this special destination in the south of Europe (Campo de Gibraltar, Algeciras, Costa del Sol, Gibraltar, etc.). Often, having irrefutable arguments such as a great range of quality education (private and public), that is cutting-edge with the best developments, techniques and study plans; this is normally a more important option than a dream-like view on the Sotogrande coast (which everyone also likes). Along these lines, I would like to take the chance to wish the very best for the year ahead to the teachers and more than 2,400 pupils that comprise the local school community (have a look at the Report in this edition). Meanwhile, life goes on and we can now glimpse the long-awaited Andalucía Valderrama Masters on the horizon. On more than one occasion we have been immersed in these types of cases: when business people come or we have visits linked to the world of business, almost always you get doubts and wonder what is the best of Sotogrande to show, and what not to show, where to eat and what places it is better not to visit in order not to leave a bad taste in the mouth of the guest that one wants to congratulate and imbue with the virtues of this outstanding area. This is a matter that I will take a deeper look at another day, because it does indeed become very difficult, after the summer cyclone has passed, to find very active and dynamic places in Sotogrande to showcase during other period of the year in order to show what it means to live in Sotogrande and experience its particular lifestyle. El Patronato Provincial de Turismo, del Área de Desarrollo Económico y Servicios a la Ciudadanía de la Diputación de Cádiz, valoró los positivos datos ofrecidos ayer por el Instituto Nacional de Estadística (INE) sobre la Coyuntura Turística Hotelera en la provincia de Cádiz. Jaime Armario, diputado del Área, señaló que el de 2017 fue el segundo mejor julio de la última

década en cuanto a viajeros y pernoctaciones, sólo superado por julio de 2016. El diputado añadió que “si hablamos de julio del año pasado, también hay que subrayar que este año ha sido mejor en cuanto a empleo generado por el sector hotelero”. En julio de 2017 hubo un 5% más de personas trabajando en los hoteles de la provincia que en julio de 2016. Jaime Armario reconoció que las

cifras del año pasado “fueron extraordinarias y que ya en ese momento dijimos que sería difícil seguir creciendo a un ritmo tan alto de un año a otro. Tras varios años de recesión, en 2016 ‘explotó’ de nuevo el turismo alcanzando unas cifras de record y no podemos esperar que todos los años sean mejores que el anterior”. Otro aspecto en el que se quiso

incidir o es en el acumulado del año, es decir la suma de enero a julio. Comparando el acumulado (de enero a julio de 2017) con el de 2016 vemos que el de este año es un 2,80% superior en viajeros y un 3,75% en pernoctaciones, por lo que con datos estadísticos en la mano “podemos decir sin temor a equivocarnos que desde un punto de vista turístico, 2017 está siendo mejor que 2016”, subrayó.

Usuarios de la Residencia La Milagrosa de San Enrique disfrutaron de un desayuno en la Cafetería Ké y de un viaje en barco por aguas del Puerto de Sotogrande. Una fantástica jornada en la que se trató, a través de esta actividad, proporcionar a los abuelos unos momentos especiales con los que salir de la rutina diaria. Apuntar que personal de Pro-

tección Civil colaboró en la actividad, en especial en el complicado embarque de los abuelos en la embarcación en la que recorrieron las tranquilas aguas del Puerto de Sotogrande. Asistieron la alcaldesa accidental, Mónica Córdoba, el teniente de alcalde del Valle del Guadiaro, Óscar Ledesma, y las ediles de Igualdad, María Teresa Benítez, y de Educación, Be-

lén Jiménez. Óscar Ledesma señaló que esta actividad se está convirtiendo en una tradición. Apuntó que esto es posible gracias también a un grupo de empresas de la zona a quienes les quiso agradecer públicamente que se vuelquen, año tras año, en hacer que los mayores disfruten de un día que recuerdan y que ansían que llegue durante todo el año.

Un tiroteo en coche, a la altura de Sotogrande, deja dos heridos Esperpéntico incidente en el km. 130 de la A-7 (a la altura de Sotogrande, en al recta bajo el puente que comunica la zona alta y baja de la urbanización). En la madrugada del sábado al domingo se produjo tiroteo entre dos vehículos que se saldó con dos heridos en estado grave, según la presunta reconstrucción de los hechos que maneja en estos momentos la Guardia Civil. Sin duda, una escena que más bien podría darse en un largometraje de cárteles. En la siniestra situación, los dos vehículos, presuntamente, llegaron a situarse en paralelo a la altura de Sotogrande para dispararse entre sí con armas de fuego. Fruto del cruce de disparos resultaron heridos dos de los cuatro integrantes de uno de los vehículos; uno de origen italiano y que se encuentra hospitalizado en el Hospital Puerta del Mar de Cádiz en estado crítico; y otro, de origen linense, que se encuentra ingresado en el Hospital de La Línea de la Concepción. Hasta el momento, fuentes de la Guardia Civil no han despejado más datos sobre el incidente aunque todo apunta, de manera no oficial, a un posible ajuste de cuentas entre miembros de diferentes organizaciones delictivas. También se baraja la posibilidad de más personas implicadas que viajaran en sendos vehículos en el momento del incidente. La investigación se mantiene abierta y el cotejo de información es el eje en el que se encuentran los agentes de la Guardia Civil.

There was a bizarre incident at km. 130 on the A-7 (latitude of Sotogrande, on the stretch under the bridge that links the lower and upper areas of the resort). In the early hours between Saturday and Sunday a shooting took place between two vehicles leaving two people seriously injured, according to the supposed reconstruction of events that the Guardia Civil is currently handling. Undoubtedly, this was a scene that would seem more fitting in a blockbuster film. In the sinister event, the two vehicles presumably ended up alongside one another at the same latitude as Sotogrande in order to shoot between one another with guns. The shots resulted in two injuries amount the four members of one of the vehicles; one of whom is of Italian origins, and now hospitalised in Hospital Puerta del Mar in Cádiz in a critical state; and another, from La Línea who is hospitalised in Hospital de La Línea de la Concepción. Up until now, sources from the Guardia Civil have not released more data about the incident although everything points to, unofficially, a possible settling of scores between members of different criminal organisations. There is also the possibility that there were more people involved travelling in the vehicles at the time of the incident. The investigation remains open and the collation of information is the main aspect Guardia Civil agents are currently working on.

La cuestión catalana

Escribo estas líneas pocos días después de las deplorables jornadas de septiembre en el Parlamento catalán. Nadie sabe qué va a suceder, pero todo indica que el bloque independentista ha decidido emprender un camino sin retorno, y con varias posibles llegadas, en especial estas dos: la independencia, o la caída del actual Gobierno de la Generalitat, y en consecuencia, unas nuevas elecciones. El escenario de la independencia resulta, de momento, el menos probable, lo que es una buena noticia, porque, aunque las elecciones no garantizan una pérdida de apoyo popular de los nacionalistas, es claro que la independencia es peor. En efecto, las perturbaciones económicas a que daría lugar esa separación serían notables, y las políticas mucho más. Basta con imaginar qué efectos políticos podría tener una in-

dependencia declarada de forma unilateral y a la fuerza, mediante un referéndum que no sólo no es pactado con el Estado español, sino que se pretende celebrar en contra de toda la legislación vigente en España, empezando por la propia Constitución de 1978. Aparte de las dificultades para la convivencia que tendría en la propia Cataluña, el incentivo a imitar esa secesión traumática dentro y fuera de España sería intenso y desestabilizador. Si el resultado no es la independencia, difícilmente el Gobierno catalán pueda volver atrás, porque ha quemado sus naves. La violación de las leyes abriría un complicado escenario para las actuales autoridades independentistas, y el Gobierno de España deberá manejarse con cuidado, para no animar una espiral de victimismo, que los nacionalistas siempre están dispuestos a

explotar. Por esa razón, el Gobierno ha actuado con prudencia, recurriendo a los tribunales, pero no más allá, en una estrategia que es correcta, salvo que la otra parte termine sacando de verdad las urnas o promoviendo algaradas violentas. Si esto se produce, el escenario será diferente. El jurista Daniel García-Pita Pemán, a quien vemos a menudo en Sotogrande, escribió en ABC que hay que desdramatizar el artículo 155 de la Constitución que, al revés de lo que muchos dicen, no significa suspender completamente la autonomía, pero sí permite, con la aprobación del Senado por mayoría absoluta, que el Gobierno adopte las medidas necesarias para obligar a la autonomía a cumplir con sus obligaciones y preservar el interés general. No sería el fin del mundo, dice.

The Catalan question I am writing these lines a few days after the deplorable September days in the Catalan Parliament. Nobody knows what is going to happen, but everything seems to indicate that the block in favour of independence has decided to go down the path of no return, with various possible outcomes, notably the following two: independence, or the fall of the current Regional Government of Catalonia, and consequently, new elections. At the moment, the independence scenario seems the least likely, which is good news, because, although the elections do not guarantee a loss of popular support for nationalists, it is clear that independence is worse. Indeed, such a separation would lead to significant economic upheavals, and the political consequences would be even worse. One only needs to imagine the possible political effects of an independence declared unilaterally and forcibly, via a referendum that is not only not agreed with the Spanish state, but which also aims to take place in opposition to all current legislation in Spain, beginning with the Constitution of 1978. Aside from the difficulties for coexistence that this would have in Catalonia itself, the incentive to imitate this traumatic secession both inside and outside of Spain would be intense and destabilising.

If the result is not independence, the Catalan Government would have a tough time turning back, because it has burned its bridges. The infringement of the laws would create a difficult scenario for the current authorities in favour of independence, and the Spanish Gov-

ernment will have to act carefully, in order not to encourage a downward spiral of victimhood, that nationalists are always willing to exploit. For that reason, the Government has acted cautiously, availing of the courts, but not beyond that, in a strategy that is correct, unless the other side truly ends up getting out the ballot boxes or encouraging violent revolts. If this occurs, the situation will be different. The lawyer Daniel García-Pita Pemán, who we often see in Sotogrande, wrote in ABC that it is necessary to take the drama out of article 155 of the Constitution which, in contrast to what many people say, does not mean completely suspending self-government, but it does allow, with the approval of the Senate via an absolute majority, for the Government to adopt the measures needed to force the regional government to fulfil its obligations and preserve the general interest. It would not be the end of the world, he says.

Orion plantea la OPA de exclusión para Sotogrande

El fondo Orion presentó ante la Comisión Nacional del Mercado de Valores (CNMV) la solicitud de autorización para lanzar una oferta pública de adquisición (OPA) de acciones de exclusión por el 100% del capital de Sotogrande, cuyo importe asciende a un total de 1,43 millones de euros, según informó la agencia Europa Press y el portal informativo del CNMV. Recordar que durante el pasado verano, Orion firmó un acuerdo con Promontoria Holding 80 para la compra del 50% del capital que no ostentaba en Sotogrande y pasó a controlar el 98,88% del capital. Recordar que la compra al grupo NH se hizo conjuntamente entre los fondos Orion y Cerberus. En la solicitud remitida al regulador, Orion certificó los términos ye fijó como precio de la oferta 3,08 euros por acción.

La compañía presentó, según informa la agencia, en la CNMV la documentación requerida para dicha solicitud (el folleto y los acuerdos de formulación de la oferta y de exclusión de negociación de las acciones de la sociedad), así como la documentación acreditativa del depósito en efectivo en la entidad Santander Securitas Services por importe de 1.487.202,64 euros, que garantizará el pago de la totalidad de la contraprestación en efectivo de la oferta. Orion formulará una OPA de exclusión en Bolsa sobre Sotogrande a través de Sotogrande LuxCo para cumplir con los compromisos adquiridos por la sociedad en abril de 2015 cuando lanzó una OPA sobre la firma --entonces a 4,47 euros por título--, sujeta a la aprobación de dicha exclusión y de la oferta por la junta de accionistas de Sotogrande.

Los grupos bancarios comerciales españoles son conscientes de que deben adaptarse para sobrevivir y deben esperar más consolidaciones en el futuro. Orion outlines exclusion takeover bid for Sotogrande The Orion fun presented an exclusion takeover bid for 100% of the capital of Sotogrande before the National Stock Exchange Commission (CNMV), amounting to a total of 1.43 million Euros, according to the agency Europa Press and the CNMV´s information page. It should be remembered that last summer, Orion signed an agreement with Promontoria Holding 80 for the purchase of 50% of the capital that it did not hold in Sotogrande and it took control of 98.88% of the capital. La Guardia Civil ﬁnalizó el dispositivo integral de seguridad establecido con motivo de la celebración del 46 Torneo Internacional de Polo, celebrado en las instalaciones de Santa María Polo Club en Sotogrande (entre el 22 de julio y el 27 de agosto), fruto de un minucioso planeamiento que se inició con varios meses de antelación y en el que ha sido trascendental la coordinación permanente con la dirección del torneo y de Santa María Polo Club. Se celebraron durante este tiempo diversas reuniones técnicas de seguridad a la que asistieron también represen-

Great display by the Guardia Civil during the International Polo Tournament The Guardia Civil concluded the integral security operation set up as part of the 46th International Polo Tournament, held at the facilities of Santa María Polo Club in Sotogrande (between 22 July and 27 August), the result of thorough planning that started several months in advance and with crucial permanent coordination with the tournament management and Santa María Polo Club.

Informe La comunidad escolar para este curso supera los 2.400 alumnos en el Valle del Guadiaro • • • •

Durante el calendario 2017-2018 más de 2.000 alumnos cursarán los estudios en los centros locales. Los porcentajes de enseñanza privada y pública se sitúan casi al mismo nivel de porcentajes en la zona. Sotogrande y su entorno cuenta con varios centros de referencia, entre ellos, dos situados entre los cien mejores de España. La comunidad crece, en más de dos centenares, respecto al año pasado.

¡Vuelta al cole para todos! Irremediablemente con el mes de septiembre se produce el “esperado”, para algunos, y “odiado”, para otros, regreso a las aulas con el compromiso en firme de afrontar un nuevo curso escolar. El éxodo en calles y playas de jóvenes del Valle del Guadiaro contra presta con las imágenes que rescatamos de buses escolares, salidas y entradas con aglomeraciones de tráfico a las puertas de los colegios y las sonrisas de reencuentros y algún que otro llanto de añoranza de las libertinas mañanas estivales. El curso escolar 2017-2018 arranca en el Valle del Guadiaro (y su área de influencia) con un incremento sustancial en la cuota de integrantes en su comunidad escolar. En números estimados (hasta que no comience a rodar el curso plenamente e incluso ya en marcha estas cifras pueden variar), la comunidad escolar local se sitúa este año en unos 2.440 alumnos en total, una cifra que crece considerablemente respecto a registros anteriores en los que se situaba en 2.183 alumnos (en 2016) o la doble unidad de millar, a secas, en 2015. Comunidad escolar local Como es habitual, el Colegio Internacional de Sotogrande (SIS) lidera el número de estudiantes inscritos para este curso en la zona, un año más, además de ser el más tempranero en iniciar su calendario escolar (lo hizo el pasado 5 de septiembre; pueden consultar todas las imágenes en la página web del periódico). Este año afronta el curso con más de 900 alumnos en sus aulas, lo que supone un nuevo incremento respecto al curso

pasado (unos 860); cifra que consolida la imparable inercia en crecimiento y desarrollo del centro que ya acumula bastantes años en subida y que se mantiene con el reconocimiento de estar entre los mejores centros del país, avalado por el prestigioso estudio que cada año publica el diario El Mundo. Respecto al volumen de multiculturalidad en su aulas, destaca que el 70% de los mismos sean de origen extranjero, haciendo muy rica su comunidad culturalmente. Hasta un total de 44 nacionalidades conviven entre sus clases; siendo la predominante la española seguida de la británica. Destacar, además de las más habituales, procedencias tan exóticas como Botswana, Arabia Saudí, Egipto,

Santo Domingo o Malasia. Entre las novedades y credenciales que presenta el centro destacan su piscina cubierta, el programa de ‘A-Levels’, un nuevo campo de baloncesto, instalaciones renovadas de ‘Boar-

ding’, 17 incorporaciones en el profesorado o la autogestión del comedor. Realizar un inciso también, en marcha desde el principios del mes de septiembre, el nuevo curso para las guarderías y cen-

tros de primera edad. Los puntos municipales de Campanilla (San Enrique), con 35 plazas, y de Puente de Hierro en Pueblo Nuevo, con 41 plazas, habría que sumarle un cifra cercana al centenar que se reparte entre las diferentes guarderías privadas de la urbanización y todo el Valle del Guadiaro. Recuperando el hilo académico, tras el internacional sotograndino se situaría el CEIP Gloria Fuertes (repartido en zonas de Infantil y Primaria en Guadiaro y Pueblo Nuevo, respectivamente). En total acumula hasta el momento un total de 557 alumnos inscritos, lo que supone un notable crecimiento también respecto a los 491 del año pasado. cando una diferenciación educativa a la oferta local. Tal es el caso del Colegio San José, en Estepona. Este centro, que año tras años continúa consolidado entre los 100 mejores del país, recibe diariamente a más de un centenar de estudiantes procedentes de Sotogrande. En su mayoría de procedencia española aunque las nacionalidades británicas y rusas le siguen muy de cerca. También conviven en el centro procedencias como la belga, italiana, holandesa o francesa, entre muchas otras hasta alcanzar la cifra

de 16 países. Su bachillerato internacional y las impresionantes infraestructuras y oferta educativa, convierten al San José en uno de los colegios más demandados de toda la Costa del sol. Los centros algecireños de Montecalpe y Puertoblanco son también dos de los destinos más demandados por la comunidad escolar local. Más de un centenar de estudiantes se desplazan cada día hasta estos dos colegios, divididos por sexos, para cursos sus estudios. Caso similar ocurre con las ofertas educa-

tivas en Gibraltar, centros como Loreto o Prior albergan a casi medio centenar de estudiantes de la zona. Algo más voluminosa es la cifra de los escolares del Valle del Guadiaro, estudiantes de bachillerato, que pasan a San Roque Casco a cursar sus estudios, aproximadamente unos 150. En deﬁnitiva, una amplia comunidad escolar para un destino tan singular como es el Valle del Guadiaro, que con tan atractivo y oferta convierte la educación en un gran valor diferencial de calidad.

During the 2017-2018 year more than 2,000 pupils will undertake studies in local schools The percentage of private and public teaching is almost 50% in the area. Sotogrande and its surrounding area has several benchmark schools, including two that feature among the top one hundred in Spain. The community has grown by more than two hundred in relation to last year.

Back to school for everyone! Inevitably, September is the time of the “long-awaited” moment for some and the “hated” moment for others, the return to school with the firm commitment of tackling another school year. The exodus of young people from Valle del Guadiaro from streets and beaches contrasts with the images that we have taken of school buses, exits and entries with lots of traffic at school gates and the smiles of reunions and the odd lament yearning for the free summer mornings. The 2017-2018 school year is getting underway in Valle del Guadiaro (and its area of influence) with a substantial increase in the number of members of its school community. In terms of estimated numbers (until the school years gets fully underway and even when it has begun, these figures can vary), this year the local school community has a total of 2,440 pupils, a figure that has grown considerably in relation to previous figures which had it at around 2,183 pupils (2016) or exactly two thousand, in 2015. Local school community As is customary, Sotogrande International School (SIS) leads the rankings for the number of students enrolled for this year in the area, once again this year, despite being the earliest to start the school year (classes resumed on 5 September; you can see all the images on the newspaper´s website). This year it is heading into the school term with more than 900 pupils in its classrooms, which is a new increase in relation to last year (860); the figure consolidates the unstoppable momentum in the school´s growth and development that has now been on the rise for a number of years and it has maintained the distinction of featuring among the one hundred best schools in the country, endorsed by the prestigious yearly study published by El Mundo newspaper. With regard to the level of multiculturalism in its classroom, what stands out is that 70% of pupils

secondary school pupils, has 270 enrolments for this year, a figure very close to that of last year. Residents that study outside the district

are from abroad, which makes the community very rich in terms of culture. A total of 44 nationalities coexist in its classes; with Spanish the most common nationality, followed by the British. In addition to the more common nationalities, it is also worth highlighting more exotic locations such as Botswana, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Santo Domingo and Malaysia. Among the new developments and credentials that the school has, it is worth highlighting the indoor pool, the “A-Levels” program, a new basketball court, renovated boarding facilities, new additions to the teaching staff and the self-service in the canteen.

As an aside, since the start of September there has also been a new year for nurseries and pre-school centres. There are the municipal centres of Campanilla (San Enrique), with 35 spaces, and Puente de Hierro in Pueblo Nuevo, with 41 places, additionally there are close to one hundred places split between the different private nurseries in the resort and all around Valle del Guadiaro. Getting back to academic matters, after Sotogrande International School comes CEIP Gloria Fuertes (divided into Pre-school and Primary in Guadiaro and Pueblo Nuevo, respectively). In total, until now it has a total of

557 pupils enrolled, which is a significant increase on the 491 of last year. This is undoubtedly one of the most sought-after schools in the area and it combines several extra-curricular activities at its facilities throughout the entire year. To close out the local chapter, the last school to resume classes (this Friday on 15 September, the others did so on Monday 12) is IES Sierra Almenara (in Pueblo Nuevo). There is a similar case with the range of education in Gibraltar, with schools like Loreto and Prior welcoming almost fifty students from the area. Somewhat larger is the figure of school pupils from Valle del Guadiaro, baccalaureate students, who go to San Roque Casco to undertake their studies, approximately 150 in total. In short, this is a large school community for such a special destination like Valle del Guadiaro, and with such appeal and range, it turns education into a great distinguishing value of quality.

¿Cómo se debe actuar y qué protocolo seguir para dar una solución al tapón en la bocana del río Guadiaro? Se trata del cuento de nunca acabar y en este verano, sólo en esta temporada estival, de la tercera vez que se tapona la desembocadura del río Guadiaro. Si durante unos años, el gran problema cíclico del Valle del Guadiaro se centró en la alarmante

falta de espacios para el estacionamiento de vehículos; la inacción y falta de entendimiento entre las diferentes administraciones implicadas (Ayuntamiento de San Roque, Junta de Andalucía y Gobierno Central) y la discordancia mutua entre la res-

ponsabilidad de competencias está creando un problema crónico a la zona con este asunto. En las dos últimas ocasiones que se colmató la bocana del río, actuó de urgencia y por su cuenta el Ayuntamiento de San Roque (pese a que el

año pasado por situaciones similares fue sancionado). Por valerosa y referencial que sea esta acción para necesidad de ejecutar con prontitud, sigue sin ser la respuesta definitiva a un problema que se está ahondando con el tiempo y que terminará solu-

cionando la propia naturaleza (con inicio de las precipitaciones y el incremento y potencia del caudal del río), ante la poca acción política. En definitiva, pulsamos la opinión de varias de las partes para conocer su implicación en el asunto.

This is the never-ending stories and this summer, during the summer season alone, the mouth of the Guadiaro River has been blocked three times. While for years, the big recurring problem of Valle del Guadiaro was focused on the alarming lack of

space for parking vehicles; the lack of action and understanding between the different administrations involved (the Council of San Roque, the Regional Government of Andalusia and the Central Government) and the mutual disagreement over the

responsibility for competencies is creating a chronic problem in the area with this matter. On the last two occasions that the river mouth was blocked, the Council of San Roque took emergency action on its own behalf (despite the fact that it was

sanctioned for similar situations last year). Despite how valiant and important this action is due to the need to act quickly, it does not provide a definitive response to a problem that is growing deeper over time and that will end up being solved by nature

itself (with the start of rain and the increase and power of the river flow), in the face of political inaction. In short, we are getting the opinion of several of the parties in order to find out their involvement in the matter.

El alcalde accidental, Juan Manuel Ordoñez, explicó que “aunque el presupuesto ya está prácticamente ultimado y tenemos todos los borradores, estamos dando pinceladas al plan de inversiones 2018, en la que cada concejal expone sus necesidades más inmediatas de su zona”. El edil puso como ejemplo inversiones como “el Plan de Asfaltado, que después de 6 años en los que se ha atendido a la mayoría de las calles del municipio, este año la cuantía será menor para atender a

Los integrantes del Equipo de Gobierno municipal llevan desde junio manteniendo reuniones para perfilar el Presupuesto General del Ayuntamiento 2018. La idea es

que las cuentas municipales sean aprobadas de manera inicial en el mes de octubre. Entre las medidas que se incluirán se encuentran una bajada de impuestos y tasas, el incremento de la partida para trabajos de temporada, el crecimiento de las relativas a políticas sociales, e inversiones para la eliminación de barreras arquitectónicas. En lo que se refiere a impuestos, se recogerá la reducción del tipo del Impuesto de Bienes Inmuebles (contribución urbana), del de vehículos (sello del coche), así como las tasas de cementerios referentes a nichos y columbarios. En los presupuestos de 2018 se mantendrán las tres apuestas principales del equipo de Gobierno: fomento del empleo, crecimiento de las partidas para políticas sociales, y un Plan de Inversiones.

since June holding meetings to work out the 2018 General Council Budget. The idea is that the municipal accounts will be initially approved in October. The measures to be included involve a reduction in taxes and rates, an increase in the budget item for seasonal items, growth in amounts allocated to social policies, and investments in order to remove architectural barriers.

With regard to taxes, there will be a reduction in the Property Tax Rate (urban contribution), in vehicle tax (car stamp), as well as the cemetery rates in relation to niches and columbariums. The 2018 budgets will maintain the three main commitments of the Government team: encouraging employment, the growth of budget allocations for social policies, and an Investment Plan.

El Consistorio ratifica la bajada del ‘sello’ del coche en 2018 al mínimo 1 M. Gil

La responsable de Economía del Consistorio de San Roque, Mónica Córdoba, reafirmó la bajada del “sello del coche” en 2018 en San Roque hasta el mínimo que fija la Ley,. Córdoba explicó que los dos tipos de vehículos más comunes se abonará un 11% menos. Esta reducción del Impuesto de Vehículos de Tracción Mecánica (IVTM) es la primera de las rebajas fiscales a las que se comprometió recientemente el Equipo de Gobierno, ya que están previstos también bajadas en

las tasas de cementerios y en la contribución urbana. La edil explicó que “en la Comisión Informativa de Hacienda y posteriormente el Pleno hemos dictaminado de manera favorable uno de los compromisos que asumimos justo cuando celebrábamos el segundo aniversario del Gobierno”. “Por un coche de hasta doce caballos -apuntó la edil- se van a pagar 34,08 euros, y hasta la fecha se pagaba 38,19 euros, por lo que la reducción es de casi un 11%, siendo el tipo

de vehículo más utilizado. El segundo vehículo más habitual es el que comprende de 12 a 16 caballos: de 80,53 euros se baja a 71,94 euros, lo que supone un 8,59 euros menos, una bajada también de casi un 11%. Se van a reducir todos los tipos de vehículos: camiones, autobuses, tractores, motocicletas..., pero quería poner ejemplo de los dos más habituales”. “De esta forma -señaló- en 2018 estaremos en San Roque de nuevo en el mínimo legal. Creo que

con este tipo de medidas compartimos con los ciudadanos la buena salud económica del Ayuntamiento y la buena gestión el Equipo de Gobierno. En próximos plenos trasladaremos nuevas decisiones que ahora mismo seguimos valorando”. Mónica Córdoba explicó que

Se trata de conseguir que el hombre nazca sin dolor de la madre, que muera sin agonía y, puesto que aún no ha conseguido la fórmula de prolongar eternamente la vida, se conforme con establecer el placer sin interrupción por medio de la fórmula Voronoff. Amenazada por no cumplir con las premisas establecidas en nuestra sociedad, embarqué hace unos días en un trasatlántico recién salido del horno. El exclusivo y sofisticado barco –seis estrellas- me permitió vivir experiencias muy enriquecedoras y, sobre todo, comprendí que diez días a bordo de un barco son toda una pequeña vida, en la que éste se convierte en una ciudad flotante, con familias y jerarquías sociales que nacen de manera espontánea. Si los grupos sociales primarios se forman, tradicionalmente, según la educación, los intereses y las aficiones de sus componentes, en aquellos días a bordo pude ver con claridad más detalles sobre la forma de relacionarse del género humano. Así, comprobé cómo aquel que se caracteriza por su espíritu utilitario pretendía sacar provecho de la experiencia, el curioso investigaba y observaba hasta llegar a la indiscreción, el sensual exprimía las sensaciones y planteaba posibles conquistas, el misántropo se aislaba, el jugador jugaba y el bebedor bebía. Una mañana, en la zona de golf, entablé una conversación con un señor cuyo apellido era Vanderbilt. En el océano suelen nacer estrechas y duraderas amistades. A los pocos días, todos son amigos o, al menos, todos saben algo de todos. Es necesario, además, proporcionar distracción para las largas horas de travesía. Mi conversación con este

señor de elegante aspecto de intelectual superior discurrió mientras la mar, tersa e inmóvil, reflejaba un cielo azul sin nubes. El barco, consciente de su superioridad manifiesta, se deslizaba sobre las aguas sin vibraciones ni balanceos. Vanderbilt me decía que las termas de Caracalla languidecían ante la piscina infinity de nuestro barco, que era entonces nuestra vivienda común. Él decía que era una aberración estética permitirse embarcar en él sin tener un cuerpo bonito; lo consideraba una soberbia impropia de una persona con clase y delicada. “El esteta debe comenzar por sí mismo”. No se refería a la edad, puesto que él ya había pasado con creces el medio siglo, ni a la perfección ósea, a pesar de estar dotado de un cuerpo apolíneo, su aseveración estaba encaminada a la armonía y a un meticuloso cuidado personal que se pudiera exteriorizar, dando así rienda suelta a ese voluptuoso culto a la sensualidad honesta con la que comencé este artículo.

Dos días más tarde, volvimos a hacer alarde de nuestra empatía. Él leía “Del Imperio a la Unión Europea”, mientras su mayordomo personal le daba unas explicaciones al oído. Me llamó la atención cómo leía, oía y miraba a su alrededor, todo a la vez. Así fue que me vio y se acercó a manifestarme que en la cena de gala quería sentarse en mi mesa. En marcha las obras de reforma del recinto ferial de Guadiaro ✑ Manuel Gil

Ya se encuentra en marcha la reforma del Recinto Ferial de Guadiaro. Se trata de una obra con un periodo de ejecución de 4 meses, y una inversión de algo más de 112 mil euros más IVA, aunque la licitación inicial fuera de casi 170 mil euros. Las obras se adjudicaron a la empresa Carrillo Rojas. Se trata de la adecuación del Recinto Ferial “con el objetivo de un mayor uso por parte de los ciudadanos de Guadiaro como zona de ocio y esparcimiento”, explicó el teniente de alcalde de zona, Oscar Ledesma. Explicó que el proyecto contempla un paseo central con una pérgola, que daría acceso a las actuales zonas de césped junto a la ribera del rio. A la derecha, junto a la depuradora, se va a instalar un parque canino, y a la izquierda un parque infantil con un gran tobogán y una tirolina. Además de ello el proyecto contempla la construcción de una pistas de minibasket, otra

de baloncesto y una de fútbol, aunque siempre respetando la esencia del lugar como recinto Ferial. El edil adelantó que “estamos en conversaciones con Medio Ambiente para que ejecuten una limpieza del margen del rio, y le hemos solicitado la posibilidad de instalar un embarcadero, con

la idea de que sea utilizado para kayacs, canoas, etc”. Por último, Oscar Ledesma adelantó que se va a sacar a licitación el ediﬁcio existente en uno de los extremos del recinto como kiosko-bar, al objeto de ofrecer un aliciente más a los vecinos de Guadiaro para acudir a este lugar como sitio de recreo.

Lidl reabre sus puertas en Sotogrande ✑ M. Gil

El supermercado Lidl inauguró el 14 de septiembre, tras una renovación integral, su nueva tienda en Sotogrande, emplazada en la Avenida del Conchudo, junto a la Avenida de los Canos en San Roque (Cádiz). La compañía ha invertido más de 3 millones de euros en esta nueva tienda, con el objetivo de ampliar sus servicios, modernizar sus instalaciones y mejorar la experiencia de compra de sus clientes. El nuevo establecimiento, que sustituye al anterior inmueble ubicado en el mismo emplazamiento, fue diseñado según la última imagen de la compañía. Esta nueva tienda dispone de una sala de ventas de más de 1.300 metros cuadrados, en

Renovation work underway at Guadiaro fair enclosure The renovation of the Guadiaro Fair Enclosure is now underway. This is work that will be carried out over 4 months, with investment of slightly over 112 thousand Euros plus VAT, although the initial tender was almost 170 thousand Euros. The work was awarded to the company Carrillo Rojas. This is the ﬁtting out of the Fair Enclosure “with the aim of greater use by citizens in Guadiaro as a leisure and entertainment area”, explained the deputy mayor for the area, Oscar Ledesma. He exp-

lained that the project involves a central walkway with a pavilion, that would provide access to the current grass areas next to the river bank. On the right, next to the treatment plant, a dog park will be installed, and on the left there will be a children´s park with a big slide and a zip wire. Additionally, the project includes the construction of mini-basketball courts, another basketball court and a football enclosure, while always respecting the essence of the place as a Fair enclosure.

The councillor disclosed that “we are in talks with the Environmental Department in order to carry out cleaning of the riverside, and we have asked them about the possibility of installing a jetty, with the idea of using it for kayas, canoes, etc.” Lastly, Oscar Ledesma stated that a tender will be put out on the existing building at one end of the enclosure for a kiosk-bar, with the aim of oﬀering another incentive to the residents of Guadiaro to come to this place as a recreational site.

Lidl reopens doors in Sotogrande Lidl supermarket opened its new shop in Sotogrande on 14 September following a complete renovation, located on Avenida del Conchudo, next to Avenida de los Canos in San Roque (Cadiz). The company has invested more than 3 million Euros in this new shop, with the aim of extending its services, modernising its facilities and improving the shopping experience of its clients. The new establishment, which is replacing the former building located in the same location, was designed in accordance with the

latest company image. This new shop has a sales room covering more than 1,300 square metres, in which fruit and vegetables, meat and fresh ﬁsh and bread and baked goods will have a leading role, in line with Lidl´s commitment to fresh produce. The staﬀ roster at the new establishment will be formed by 25 employees, with half a dozen new recruits. The clients will have more than 100 parking spaces and extensive shopping hours between 9am and 9.30pm from Monday to Saturday.

Los estudiantes volvieron al colegio tras la larga pausa del verano con una asamblea que reunió a todo el mundo. Sentados bajo el sol de la mañana, más de 900 estudiantes y unos 120 miembros del personal docente escucharon al señor Kearney hablar sobre los cambios dentro y alrededor del colegio realizados durante el verano. Las instalaciones deportivas ahora cuentan con una pista de baloncesto y vestuarios, así como con una nueva cubierta para la piscina que, cuando ﬁnalice este mes, permitirá disfrutar de la natación todo el año. Se han creado nuevas clases para dar cabida al creciente número de estudiantes y acoger a nuevos profesores de

primaria y secundaria. Los residentes en el internado están encantados con la reforma de ¼ de millón de euros realiza-

da en el internado. El interior del ediﬁcio se ha transformado gracias a una inyección de modernidad y comodidad. Se ha creado

un comedor de estilo café cultural, una cocina para estudiantes y una sala común, así como un salón estudiantil contemporá-

neo, una recepción moderna y una sala de TV tipo cine. Las obras centradas en la seguridad de los estudiantes en los puntos de recogida y llegada; continúan con las nuevas pasarelas, cruces adicionales y zonas de aparcamiento fuera del colegio. Además de estas interesantes mejoras en el colegio, el señor Kearney también habló sobre reconocer nuestras diferencias, puntos fuertes y puntos débiles. Animó a los estudiantes a ser valientes y a no ocultarse tras una máscara, a salir de sus zonas de comfort y a probar cosas nuevas. Su consejo fue no tener miedo nunca de pedir ayuda, ya que todo el profesorado está aquí para apoyaros.

Welcome to a new academic year at SIS Students were welcomed back to school after the long summer break at a whole school assembly. Sitting in the morning sun over 900 students and more than 120 teaching and learning staﬀ listened as Mr Kearney updated everyone on the changes in and around the school over the summer. A basketball court and changing rooms have been added to the sporting facilities, as well the new pool cover which, when completed this month, will allow swimming to be included in the curriculum year round. New teaching rooms

have been created to accommodate the growing student population as well as new teachers in both primary and secondary. Boarders at SIS were delighted to see the ¼ million euro refurbishment at the Boarding House. The interior of the building has been truly transformed with an injection of modern comfort. A café culture style dining room has been introduced, as has a Diploma kitchen and common room, a contemporary student lounge, a modern reception area and a cinema-style TV room. Focusing on the safety of the

students at drop oﬀ/collection times work continues on the new walk ways, additional crossings and parking zones outside the school. Along with these exciting additions to the school, Mr Kearney also talked about recognising our diﬀerences, strengths, and weaknesses. Encouraging students to be bold and not hide behind a mask, to step out of their comfort zones and to try something new. Never be afraid of asking for help he advised, after all, “the entire teaching and learning team are here to support you!”

Cultura Sotogrande vive el arte a lo grande con la maratón de pintura ‘La Huella’ La iniciativa activa el sentido artístico de la urbanización con siete días de trabajo consecutivo y la participación de profesionales, aﬁcionados y escolares ✑ M. Gil

Arte en mayúsculas, a gran escala y para todos los públicos en Sotogrande. La maratón de pintura ‘La Huella’, ubicada y promovida a través del Espacio Cultural Oslvado Lobalzo (situado en la Ribera del Marlin), impregnó a toda la urbanización del más puro sentido artístico durante una intensa y frenética semana. Una maratón que arrancó el 1 de septiembre y que concluyó tras siete días y seis noches maratonianas pintando un mural de 70 metros cuadrados en el espacio cultural ubicado en la Marina de Sotogrande.

Según detalló el propio autor de la iniciativa, Lobalzo, el objetivo se encontraba en “activar culturalmente a la ciudadanía y sensibilizar a la población con el arte” a través de esta serie de propuestas. Una de las características de la cita fue la libre participación de cualquier persona cuenta con experiencia o no en el mundo de la pintura. Academias, colegios, adultos, niños y profesionales pasaron durante la intensa semana de maratón de pintura para aportar su gran de arena al proyecto. La evolución de la actividad se

pudo seguir prácticamente en directo a través de diferentes plataformas digitales; además se realizó de manera paralela un concurso de fotografías sobre el propio mural a través de una serie de hastags en Redes Sociales y otros detalles como un libro de ﬁrmas con todos los participantes. El resultado ﬁnal de la obra se dará a conocer en unos días tras un delicado proceso de barnizado y tratamiento.

Sotogrande experiences art in true style with “La Huella” painting marathon The initiative activates the resort´s artistic sensibility with seven days of consecutive work and the participation of professionals, enthusiasts and school pupils Top quality art, on a great scale and for all ages in Sotogrande. The “La Huella” painting marathon located in and supported through the Osvaldo Lobalzo Cultural Space (located at Ribera del Marlin) imbued the entire resort with pure artistic feeling during an intense and frenetic week. The marathon got underway on 1 September and ﬁnished after seven days and six marathon nights of painting a 70 square metre mural in the cultural space located in Sotogrande Marina.

According to the creator of the initiative, Lobalzo, the aim was to “culturally activate the citizens and raise awareness among the population with art” through this series of proposals. One of the characteristics of the event was the free participation of anyone, regardless of whether or not they had experience in the world of painting. Academies, schools, adults, children and professionals all contributed during the intense marathon week of painting in order add their

contribution to the project. The evolution of the activity could be followed practically live through diﬀerent digital platforms; as a side activity a photography competition was carried out about the mural itself through a series of hashtags on Social Networks and there were other details such as a signature book for the all the participants. The ﬁnal result of the work will be revealed in a few days following a delicate varnish and treatment process.

¿Cómo afecta el Régimen Económico Matrimonial en mi empresa? Los autónomos (empresarios individuales) son personas físicas que realizan en nombre propio una actividad comercial, industrial o profesional y que responden con todo su patrimonio de las deudas contraídas por terceros, tanto el empresarial como el personal. La responsabilidad es ilimitada frente a lo que ocurriría por ejemplo en una Sociedad Limitada o Sociedad Anónima. Por eso, cualquier autónomo tiene que decidir qué régimen matrimonial le conviene más ya que las deudas empresariales que asuman podrán o no afectar al patrimonio conyugal. ¿Qué ocurre si el empresario está casado? En este caso habrá que partir del Régimen Económico Matrimonial que se haya concertado y de

los pactos contenidos en capitulaciones matrimoniales otorgadas, que deben constar debidamente inscritos en el Registro Mercantil. En el caso de régimen de sociedad de gananciales, el más frecuente, todos los bienes adquiridos durante el matrimonio por cualquiera de los cónyuges quedarían afectados a esa responsabilidad. En cambio, no responderían los bienes privativos de su cónyuge (los bienes que éste tuviese antes del matrimonio, o los que hubiere adquirido después de forma gratuita, por ejemplo, a través de una herencia o donación). Por tanto, quedan afectados al pago de las posibles deudas contraídas como resultado de las actividades mercantiles los bienes

privativos del empresario y los bienes comunes del matrimonio, adquiridos por los beneficios obtenidos de tales actividades. Para que los demás bienes comunes del matrimonio queden comprometidos es necesario el consentimiento de ambos cónyuges. Dicho consentimiento se presume otorgado por el otro cónyuge: • Cuando el empresario realice sus actividades mercantiles con su conocimiento y sin su oposición expresa, y • Cuando al contraer matrimonio, el empresario estuviese realizando actividades mercantiles y continuase su realización sin su oposición. Sin olvidar tampoco que los bienes privativos del cónyuge del empresario sólo quedarán afec-

tados cuando exista su consentimiento expreso en cada caso. No cabe el consentimiento tácito descrito. El régimen de afectación de los bienes matrimoniales y del cónyuge no empresario puede variarse a través de pactos en contrario contenidos en capitulaciones matrimoniales debidamente inscritas en el Registro Mercantil. Sin embargo, en el régimen de separación de bienes, cada cónyuge es propietario de sus propios bienes (bienes privativos), por lo que los bienes que posea el cónyuge del empresario no se verán afectados por sus actividades empresariales. Por ello, el régimen matrimonial que más le conviene al autónomo es el de la separación de

Además, otra de las opciones por la que suelen optar los autónomos es por otorgar capitulaciones matrimoniales ya que de esta forma pueden fijar cómo van a responder ante los acreedores.

Freelance workers (individual entrepreneurs) are individuals that carry out a commercial, industrial or professional activity on their own behalf, and that respond with all of their own equity to debt incurred by third parties, either on a business or personal level. Liability is unlimited in relation to what would occur for example in a limited company or limited liability company. Therefore, any freelancer has to decide which marital system is most appropriate for them as the company debt that they take on may or may not have an effect on matrimonial property.

What happens if the business person is married? In this case, it would be necessary to use the Matrimonial Property Regime that has been put in place and the agreements contained in the marital settlements executed, which should appear properly registered in the Trade Registry. In the case of the community property regime, the most frequent, all of the assets acquired during the marriage by any of the spouses would be affected by that liability. On the other hand, the private assets of their spouse would not be affected (the assets that they had before the marriage, or that they ac-

Therefore, the payment of possible debts incurred as the result of business activities, the business person´s private assets and the shared marriage assets, acquired via the profits obtained from such activities are affected. In order to have other shared marriage assets committed it is necessary to have the consent of both spouses. This consent is presumed to have been given by the other spouse: • When the business person carries out the business activities with their knowledge and without their express opposition, and

• When they marry, the business person is carrying out business activities and they continue to carry them out without their opposition. It should also be remembered that the private assets of the spouse of the business person would only be affected when there is express consent in each case. The tacit consent described does not apply. The marriage assets system and that of the spouse that is not the business person can be varied through opposing agreements contained in marital settlements that are properly registered in the Trade Registry. However, in the separate prop-

erty regime, each spouse is the owner of their own assets (separate assets), therefore the assets that the spouse of the business person has would not be affected by their business activities. Therefore, the marriage regime that is best suited to freelance workers is that of the separation of assets and profit-sharing. In this manner, family assets are protected as only the assets of the freelancer will be liable for debts results from their economic activity. Also, another of the options that freelancers usually go for is to have marriage settlement as in this manner they can establish how they will respond to creditors.

La cuarta prueba del V Circuito Golf Sotogrande viajó hasta la capital andaluza para disfrutar de una jornada plena de golf en uno de los mejores trazados del país. Un escenario de excepción: Real Club de Golf de Sevilla. Un campo impresionante que elevó el listón de la cuarta cita del calendario regular, la que traspasa el ecuador de pruebas clasificatorias para la gran final, con una participación de más de 130 jugadores en las instalaciones hispalenses. Un club de altura, con cuidados al detalles y una atención soberbia (el mantenimiento del campo merece mención destacada), brindó a los jugadores del Circuito una extraordinaria competición con salidas consecutivas desde primera hora de

la mañana hasta el mediodía. Partidas, que como es habitual en cada prueba, encontraron igualmente en Sevilla a mitad de partida el punto de avituallamiento; lugar perfecto para recuperar fuerzas cara al tramo final del torneo. La parte más social de la jornada llegó a la caída de la tarde al Real Club de Golf de Sevilla con el protocolario acto de la entrega de premios y sorteo de regalos tras una extensa jornada golfística durante todo el día. Respecto a los ganadores de la cita, una prueba más, quedó desierto el premio al Hoyo en uno (situado en el Hoyo 3), con el extraordinario premio de un reloj Hublot. The venue was exceptional: Real Club de Golf de Sevilla. The impressive course raised the bar at the fourth event of the regular calendar, as the qualifying rounds for the grand final passed the midway point, with more than 130 players participating at the Seville venue. The elite club, with attention to detail and superb service (the course maintenance deserves a special mention), offered the players on the Circuit an extraordinary competition with consecutive departures from first thing in the morning until midday. As

is customary at each event, the rounds in Seville also had a food stop halfway through the round; the perfect place for players for get their strength back ahead of the final stretch of the tournament. La Clarita, ganador del Bajo Handicap Por su parte, LaClarita se proclamó campeón de la Copa de Oro Isolas 1892 tras vencer a Sapphire por 9 a 8 en chukker suplementario. Como lo venía siendo a lo largo de toda la temporada, el bajo hándicap brindó, hasta en su último encuentro, partidos muy disputados y emocionantes. La final no fueo la excepción y La Clarita pudo celebrar en el tiempo extra. El mejor jugador de la final fue Freddie Horne de La Clarita y el mejor ejemplar del decisivo encuentro fue Camina, propiedad del mismo. La Mangosta se quedó con la final subsidiaria tras vencer a Sardañola por 11 a 9.

El Mediano Handicap en el 46 Torneo Internacional de Polo en Sotogrande contó de manera especial con un nombre propio por encima del resto: Aerolíneas Argentinas. Sin duda, la compañía transatlántica demostró un año más su compromiso y apoyo con Sotogrande como gran destino turístico y con grandes lazos de unión con el país argentino a través de un vehículo de promoción y difusión común, exclusivo y tan relevante como el deporte del polo. Por otro lado, destacar a Saint Mesme y en mayor medida Equus, como los dos grandes cuartetos protagonistas de la categoría. La presencia de Aerolíeas Argentinas ha sido muy latente durante todo el verano en Sotogrande a través del Torneo Internacional de Santa María Polo Club y las diferentes acciones llevadas a cabo en el mismo. Una de las más visibles: eran pocos los asistentes durante todo el verano a las canchas ‘sotograndinas’ que no lucían

el característico sombrero para protegerse del sol en las gradas de las canchas con el emblema de Aerolíneas Argentinas (como detalle cursioso del evento además de otras acuaciones). Respecto a la competición de bronce, el equipo de Saint Mesme fue el ganador con un torneo aún poco rodado al superar en la final al cuarteto Twenty 20 por 12 goles a 10 en la final. Aunque si hay un nombre propio este verano en Sotogrande es el de Equus que se proclamó campeón de las Copas de Plata (tras vencer en la final a Brunei Polo Team por 14 a 6) y Copa de Oro, con su victoria final ante Royal Salute por 13 a 11. Recordar que Equus Polo Team estuvo formado esta temporada por: Peter Silling, Tommy Beresford, Rosendo Torreguitar y Alejandro Muzzio. Otro de los detalles a destacar de este torneo es que el Mediano Handicap (que habitalmente se jugaba en las canchas de Rio, ausentes este año); compaginó sus escenarios de juego entre Puente de Hierro y la zona principal de Los Pinos, lugar en el que se disputaron los partidos más relevantes.

Iridike Polo acogió la tercera edición de su Torneo Internacional de Polo, celebrado a un paso de Sotogrande y que contó, además, con una extraordinaria ﬁnal de alto nivel competitivo. Iridike Polo Team y JFP se disputaron la preciada Copa de Oro Iridike, que cayó en manos del equipo anftrión tras superar en el marcador (8-7) a su rival pese a ir perdiendo durante buena parte del choque. A falta de 5 segundos para la campana ﬁnal, Rafael González Vallinas recibió un pase desde mitad de campo de Luciano

Irazabal y tiró un ‘cogote’ que cruzó la línea de gol lentamente para decantar el triunfo de Irdike. En la ﬁnal subsidiaria, el equipo Solar de Mendieta se impuso al equipo de Los Schatzies por 10-7. Álvaro de Mendieta, de Iridike Polo, fue nombrado máximo goleador con cuatro tantos; mientras que la mejor yegua del torneo fue la jugada en el tercer chukker por Jesper Friis Poulsen de JFP. El mejor jugador y goleador de la copa subsidiaria fue para el profesional del club, Álvaro Ara, con 6 goles.

El buen ambiente no cesó tras los partidos en el bar a pie de campo, 5º Chucker. La jornada concluyó con asado argentino y cante ﬂamenco hasta bien entrada la madrugada. Iridike Polo anunció que durante el mes de septiembre se disputarán dos torneos en las instalaciones del club con alumnos de la escuela y profesionales.

Francisco Manuel Ortega, del Club Deportivo La Molinera, fue el vencedor absoluto del V Triatlón San Roque (Tri-San Roque), celebrado en la zona de Sotogrande. La ganadora absoluta femenina fue Sonia Vázquez, del CD Triatlon Marbella Bike. Participaron en la competición de hoy un total de 192 deportistas, que han disputado tres segmentos: el primero a nado, el segundo en bicicleta y el último de carrera a pie. La salida y meta se situó en Puerto Sotogrande (Ribera del Marlin), donde también se llevó a cabo la entrega de trofeos. En cuanto a las clasificaciones, Francisco Manuel Ortega, del Club Deportivo La Molinera, fue el vencedor absoluto, seguido de Robert Matto (Hércules Triatlon) y Alejendro Muñoz (Triatletas Roteños). Pedro Oriol, todo un habitual y conocido en el Sotogranda golfístico, se adjudicó uno de los torneos más prestigiosos del Challenge Tour, el Rolex Trophy, al imponerse al francés Adrien Saddier en el Golf Club de Ginebra tras el primer hoyo de play-oﬀ. El madrileño, que partía noveno a seis golpes del líder, su amigo Borja Virto, ﬁrmó una gran última vuelta de 65 golpes incluyendo sendos eagles en los hoyos cinco y quince para acabar empatado con 17 bajo par. Esta victoria le sitúa tercero en la Carrera a Omán (ranking del Circuito Challenge) y supone el premio a una buena temporada en la que ha cosechado otros tres top ten: en junio fue segundo en el KPMG en Bélgica a un golpe del ganador, al mes siguiente acabó noveno en el SSE Scottish Hydro Challenge hosted by Macdonald Hotels & Resorts, y fue cuarto en el Swedish Challenge hosted by Robert Karlsson, en el que com-

Un ejercicio ligado a valores basados en el compañerismo, respeto y orden que lo elevan a la categoría de ‘deporte rey’ aunque hay muchas maneras de vivirlo. UDSE (Unión Deportivo San Enrique) presenta un concepto diferente y exclusivo de vivir el fútbol. Una idea basada en una amplia y atractiva apuesta por establecer una entidad preocupada por el nivel deportivo y académico de sus integrantes. Más de medio centenar de jóvenes ya forman parte del club. ¿Te gusta el fútbol? ¿Te lo vas a perder? En lo actualidad y cara al inicio

de la temporada, la UDSE mantiene un staff de media docena de profesionales entre monitores, entrenadores y auxiliares para ofrecer la mejor atención a sus plantillas. Cuenta con

cuatro equipos definidos que compiten entre ligas federadas y privadas de las categorías: Pre-benjamín, Benjamín, Alevín e Infantil. Una fuerte apuesta por el deporte de convivencia al integrar en el vestuario a jóvenes de diferentes nacionalidades. ¡No lo dudes y apúntate ya! Además, tiene en marcha dos grandes proyectos para ofrecer en el campo de la UD San Enrique un atractivo difícil de igualar por otras entidades o academias. Por un lado, al margen de la competición, trata de instaurar el ‘Soccer Family’. Una iniciativa que trata reunir a las familias de los chicos al-

rededor del club para disfrutar de toda una jornada en familia con deporte, diversión y actividades de entretenimiento en el Campo de Fútbol de San Enrique (sede del club). Por otro lado, se encuentra inmerso en la certificación de varios acuerdos y conciertos con grandes entidades y organizaciones dedicadas a los tours futbolísticos, principal-

mente con clubes británicos y estadounidenses, con vistas a posibles acciones conjuntas y viajes o visitas para competiciones en unos y otros destinos; así como posibles acciones con exfubolistas profesionales. Sin duda, una apuesta en firme por ampliar fronteras gracias al deporte y que permita conocer a los jugadores del club otras culturas ligadas al fútbol.

The regatta circuit will consist of different official events, between October 2017 and June 2018 and it will all take place in Sotogrande waters. The aim of this initiative is to consolidate the sport of sailing in Andalusia, promoting sailing activity in the south of Spain. The new edition of the Circuit will once again bring the excitement and competitiveness of top level regattas to Sotogrande. Adrián Gavira y Pablo Herrera, campeones de España El sanroqueño y el castellonense logran el Campeonato Nacional de Voley Playa. La dupla recupera el cetro nacional tras su última victoria en 2014 1 M. Gil

Pa blo Herrera y Adrián Gavira recuperan la corona nacional. Y lo consiguieron por todo lo alto. El castellonense y el sanroqueño, que partían como principales favoritos al título en el Campeonato de España de Voley Playa, dejaron patente su superioridad desde el primer partido y acabaron haciéndose con un galardón que es el quinto en su palmarés. La última vez que se alzaron con

el Campeonato de España fue en 2014, así que la pareja olímpica pone fin a la temporada 2017 con un título que les ilusionada y que se suma a la quinta posición con la que sellaron su participación en el Europeo. En la final, Herrera-Gavira se impusieron en un intenso encuentro al dúo García-Mesa por 2-0 (21-17 y 21-17). Los olímpicos certificaron su condición de favoritos y rompieron el primer set

en la mediación del parcial para ponerse por delante. En el segundo set, el acierto de las dos parejas en el ‘side-out’ propició la igualdad hasta la mitad de periodo, cuando nuevamente la potencia de los múltiples campeones nacionales ha roto la manga. The players from Castellon and San Roque, who began as main favourites for the title at the Spanish Beach Volleyball Championship, made their superiority clear from the first game on and ended up winning a title that is the fifth in their trophy cabinet. El joven golfista, Laurentino Gil Salas, se proclamó campeón de España Infantil de Pitch&Putt. El jugador de La Cañada logró la victoria tras imponerse en una emocionante jornada final. Sin duda, una de las claves de su triunfo fue lo bien que manejó la tensión de los últimos hoyos, cuando todo estaba en juego, para vencer con un golpe de ventaja sobre Álvaro Calero y dos sobre Miguel Rodríguez.

El Campeonato de España se celebró a dos rondas en el recorrido Deva Golf, en Asturias, un escenario que ya difícilmente va a olvidar en su vida Laurentino.
