Durante las últimas semanas se lleva a cabo en diferentes puntos de la urbanización, especialmente en localizaciones de La Marina de Sotogrande, club de playa y principales avenidas; el rodaje de la última cinta del director sevillano Santi Amodeo. Este largometraje se une a una notable lista de películas y producciones que tuvieron en Sotogrande su paisaje idílico como marco de fondo de una historia audiovisual. Este tipo de acciones dinamizan la zona en ventanas del calendario en las que se frena la actividad turística y de eventos.

Offering that balance and that great window that Campo de Gibraltar opens up, of sun, sea, the rural world, sport, culture and history make this place a very exclusive destination on the map and in Europe, and being able to export it and consolidate its place in the tourism industry will only result in shared benefits. Es momento para los grandes proyectos en Sotogrande Sólo hace faltar coger el coche y dar una vuelta, con algo de paciencia, por las calles y avenidas de la urbanización para darse cuenta de que se ha reactivado, con intensidad, el ‘skyline’ de grúas en Sotogrande. Es decir, volvemos a ver como se inician proyectos, remodelaciones, nuevas 1 José Luis García construcciones y demás Editor/Director por las diferentes zonas jlgarcia@grupohcp.com de nuestro entorno con mucha más asiduidad de lo que veníamos contemplando en la última época. El paisaje ‘sotograndino’ se vuelve a copar de grúas, como decíamos. Muestra inequívoca de que los proyectos de amplias miras regresan a Sotogrande con fuerza y que las iniciativas privadas retoman vuelo al tomar algo de impulso financiero en los últimos dos/tres años. Sin duda, algo que aplaudimos y que camina en beneficio del entorno económico y financiero local. Y es precisamente en ese justo contexto en el que se abre la ventana de una gran oportunidad para Sotogrande: es el momento de poner en marcha todos esos grandes proyectos de los que lle-

vamos casi un lustros escuchando hablar y que todos esperamos que se conviertan en realidad muy pronto. Por un lado, al pasar por La Reserva, se puede apreciar la gran actividad y ritmo con el que avanza el proyecto ‘The Valley’, con su gran lago y playa de arena natural. Algo que supondrá un impulso para el músculo inmobiliario de la empresa matriz y que pretende ser el epicentro del Sotogrande las próximas décadas, situando los grandes puntos claves de la propagación y crecimiento de la urbanización hacia ese enclave. Del mismo modo, el CEO de Sotogrande S.A., Marc Topiol, adelantó en la última edición de Fitur que pretende en las próximas semanas presentar el proyecto de rehabilitación del Hotel Almenara que empuje al complejo hacia un salto de calidad, situándolo a la vanguardia de los mejores resorts de gran lujo en la costa. Falta hace y mucho en Sotogrande contar con una plaza de alto nivel en el perfil hotelero. Las plazas son pocas, cotizadas y en muchos casos no los suficientemente bien proyectadas hacia un perfil de huésped de alto nivel. Ése será un reto a conseguir para el beneficio de la zona. Como también ocurriría con el inicio del proyecto de Los Pinos de la Familia Mora-Figueroa en la parte baja, más próxima a La

On one hand, around La Reserva, you can see the large amount of activity and pace that “The Valley” project is progressing at, with its large lake and natural sand beach. Buenas noticias pero que necesitan contar además, con un gran respaldo de otras cuestiones importantes. Además de importantes construcciones y viviendas de lujo, ello se debe acompañar de un entorno único y de unos servicios de gran nivel para ofrecer a los potenciales nuevos inquilinos de la urbanización. Al mismo ritmo que avanzan en novedades entidades como el Colegio Internacional de Sotogrande, también es necesario que resto acompase ese empuje. Elementos urbanísticos, de infraestructuras, residuos, iluminación y todo lo demás debe adecuarse a las demandas más actuales y modernas que buscan la excelencia de un destino. A ponernos las pilas todos y esperar que esos grandes proyectos se fructifiquen. El entorno, el mercado y las condiciones son propensas para ello. Deseando estamos contar más buenas noticias para Sotogrande y más, en este año tan especial de nuestro 20 aniversario. Invertir en seguridad siempre es positivo y en el segmento escolar aún más. Desde el regreso de las vacaciones navideñas se encuentra instalado en el cruce de acceso al Colegio Internacional de Sotogrande (justo a la altura de la rotonda que conecta la salida de la urbanización desde la zona de Almenara con el nuevo acceso a La Reserva Club), un semáforo de pulsador que junto al paso de cebra permite un tránsito más seguro y garantista para escolares y el resto de peatones en dicha zona. Además, se procedió al mismo tiempo a la instalación de una zona más amplia de acerado que habilita y conecta este nuevo cruce a pie con el resto de la avenida que da acceso al centro educativo. De manera ordinaria, este punto que atraviesa la entrada al co-

legio y une la carretera de Las Arenillas (acceso obligado para llegar a Sotogrande desde los vecinos municipios de Castellar y Jimena de la Frontera) con el área más alta de la urbanización; se encontrará bajo la señal de precaución (con la tonalidad amarilla en parpadeo en el semá-

foro) de manera constante. En ambos lados del cruce se han instalado sendos pulsadores que permitirán detener el tráﬁco en el caso de que algún peatón pretenda atravesar la vía, logrando de este modo que en el caso opuesto esta nueva señalización no reduzca ni afecte a la ﬂuidez

del paso de vehículos de manera innecesaria por esta transitada carretera. Este periódico se puso en contacto con responsables municipales y del área de urbanismo, que detallaron que este nuevo plan fue propuesto y costeado por el precio colegio tras presentar el

El Consistorio recuerda al Gobierno Central la regeneración de la playa de Sotogrande tras el temporal Desde el Ayuntamiento de San Roque se reclama que “no se olviden de San Roque” en la promesa realizada por el delegado autonómico del Ejecutivo en la que afirmaba que todo el litoral se encontrará en “perfectas condiciones para Semana Santa” 1 M. El primer teniente de alcalde, Juan Manuel Ordóñez, reclamó al delegado del Gobierno Central en Andalucía, Antonio Sanz, “que no se olvide otra vez de San Roque” cuando se decidan los trabajos de regeneración de playas por los daños del temporal de estos días. En este medio hemos recopilado a lo largo de los mencionados días de temporal los desperfectos sufridos en la zona. Concretamente, Ordóñez reivindicó “que se actúe en la playa de Sotogrande, en la zona conocida como Los Lacasitos, donde persiste el riesgo de entrada de agua de mar en las viviendas”. El responsable municipal, que también es delegado de Urbanismo, se refería a las recientes

declaraciones de Sanz en las que afirmaba que las playas campogibraltareñas y malagueñas afectadas por el temporal estarán “en condiciones óptimas” en Semana Santa. Explicó el delegado del Gobierno que la Demarcación de Costas evaluará los daños y se responde-

rá “con prontitud y diligencia”. Ordóñez indicó que “San Roque también existe, y cuenta con un litoral que también ha sido azotado por este temporal. Quisiera recordar al señor Sanz que cada año le pedimos que se regenere la playa situada en Sotogrande al pie de Los Lacasitos. Espe-

ramos que en esta ocasión se haga eco de nuestra petición y se actúe, igual que se hará en otras zonas donde siempre se llevan a cabo estas labores de regeneración, como las playas algecireñas de El Rinconcillo y Getares”. “En alguna de sus visitas a la zona -continuó el edil-, el señor Sanz debe haber visto que existe un peligro para estas viviendas de Los Lacasitos, donde hay un gran riesgo de entrada de agua de mar debido a los temporales. Esperamos que esta vez no se nos deje fuera como en años anteriores”, concluyó el teniente de alcalde. El Ayuntamiento

de San Roque ha demandado en varias ocasiones a la Demarcación de Costas la regeneración de la playa de Sotogrande en la zona del Trocadero, debido a la pérdida de arena que generan los temporales de levante. Concretamente, se ha sugerido que en primer lugar se retiren unos 80.000 metros cúbicos de arena de la desembocadura del río Guadiaro y luego se lleven a la citada playa, situada a unos 200 metros de distancia. De esta manera se evitaría el cierre de la bocana del río y la consiguiente muerte de peces a la vez que se garantizaría la seguridad de las viviendas.

This would thus avoid the closure of the river mouth and the subsequent death of fish while also guaranteeing the security of properties.

El cine se ﬁja en Sotogrande como escenario de excepción, una vez más. Durante varias jornadas del mes de febrero no se convirtió en cosa extraña encontrar por las calles de la urbanización (en diferentes localizaciones), camiones y un set de rodaje para la ﬁlmación de la última película del cineasta sevillano Santi Amodeo: “Yo, mi mujer y mi muerta”. Como ya ocurriese, hace algunos veranos con ‘El Niño’, obra de Daniel Monzón, Sotogrande vuelve a desempeñar el papel de escenario para la gran pantalla, principalmente en puntos como el Puerto Deportivo de Sotogrande, La Marina en zonas como la Ribera del Arlequín; o el Paseo del Parque, en el interior de la zona baja. Respecto al largometraje ‘Yo, mi mujer y mi mujer muerta’, es obra del director sevillano Santi Amodeo, que ya cuenta en su currículum con películas como: ‘El factor Pilgrim’, ‘Astronautas’, ‘Cabeza de Perro’ ó ‘Quién mató

With regard to the feature film “Yo, mi mujer y mi mujer muerta” (Me, my wife and my dead wife), it is a work by the Sevillian director Santi Amodeo, whose CV includes films such as: ‘The Pilgrim Factor’, ‘Astronauts’, ‘Doghead’ and ‘Who Killed Bambi?’. To complete the casting of actors, Amodeo held different castings for characters in the film, in Marbella in the days following the start of the new

year. It is worth highlighting that neighbouring Marbella will also feature in the film as the location of several scenes. These two locations (Sotogrande and Marbella) have not been selected at random by the director. Un resort de lujo, en el corazón de Sotogrande. El CEO de Sotogrande S.A., Marc Topiol, adelantó las primeras pistas, de un gran proyecto que lleva fraguándose varios meses, durante su intervenció en el pabellón de la provincia de Cádiz en la Feria Internacional Fitur 2018. El máximo mandatario de la empresa matriz anunció la presentación (aproximadamente para el mes de marzo), de un ambicioso proyecto que remodelará el Hotel Almenara para convertirlo en toda una referencia de alojamientos de gran lujo en el sur de Europa.

“Ya tenemos muy avanzado el proyecto y nuestra idea es poder presentarlo para marzo o a lo largo de la primavera. Nuestra objetivo es realizar una serie de

mejoras en el Hotel Almenara que lo conviertan un resort de gran lujo, al más puro estilo de Sotogrande, y que se consolide al nivel de grandes enclaves de gran calidad como es el caso de Finca Cortesín”, matizó Topiol. El dirigente, además de hablar del proyecto “The Valley”, el gran lago con arena natural que se está construyendo en La Reserva Club y que verá la luz este verano; aseguró que el otro gran pilar de sus proyectos para la urbanización a corto plaza pasa por dinamizar, revalorar y situar el Hotel Almenara entre los resorts de mayor referencia en el sur de Europa.

Con esta nueva etapa, Medina volverá a aportar su amplia experiencia al complejo deportivo.Precisamente, Medina llegó a Sotogrande en 1991, nombrado director general de

San Roque Club, cuando inauguró el Hotel y el Campo de Golf. Medina pasa a ocupar el cargo de Masao Takahashi, quien ocupará un puesto en el Consejo de Administración de la compañía. El cambio de directiva, según el propio Club, no supondrá un cambio ni en la estrategia de la empresa ni en su política de precios y productos.

The top leader of the parent company announced the presentation (approximately in March), of an ambitious project that will remodel Hotel Al-

menara in order to turn it into a benchmark for grand luxury accommodation in the south of Europe. “The project is already at a very advanced stage and our idea is to be able to present it in March or throughout spring. Our aim is to carry out a series of improvements to Hotel Almenara to turn it into a grand luxury resort, in the purest Sotogrande style, and to consolidate it at the level of big top-quality locations

such as Finca Cortesín”, outlined Topiol. The leader, in addition to talking about “The Valley” project, the large lake with natural sand that is being built at La Reserva Club and which will see the light of day this summer; stated that the other big cornerstone of his projects for the resort in the short term involve dynamising, reappraising and putting Hotel Almenara among the leading resorts in the south off Europe.

Since 1 February, Alex Medina has been the new director general of San Roque Club, as confirmed in a statement to El Periódico de Sotogrande made by the Golf Club. With this new stage, Medina will once again contribute his extensive experience to the sports complex. Indeed, Medina came to Sotogrande in 1991, when he was appointed director general of San Roque Club, when the Hotel and Golf Course was opened.

Medina takes over the role from Masao Takahashi, who will take up a position in the company´s Board of Directors. According to the club itself, the management change will not result in a change to either the company´s strategy or its prices and products.

Los gastos del ascensor Hemos tenido conocimiento en el despacho de una curiosa sentencia dictada con ocasión de un pleito en el que se dilucidaba si el acuerdo de la comunidad de propietarios por el que se acordaba que las viviendas de pisos superiores pagaran 1 Luis Babiano más que las viviendas Abogados / Lawyers de los pisos inferiores Sotogrande por los gastos comunes correspondientes a la instalación y mantenimiento del ascensor del edificio, era conforme a ley. En concreto el acuerdo tomado era distribuir estos gastos en un cincuenta por ciento por partes iguales entre todos los propietarios y en función del coeficiente de cada piso o local y el otro cincuenta por ciento se obtenía combinando la utilización que previsiblemente se iba a hacer del ascensor, cargando más a los propietarios de los pisos superiores, y el coeficiente del título constitutivo de la propiedad. Los propietarios de estas viviendas superiores impugnaron este acuerdo basándose, entre otras cuestiones formales, en que el mismo suponía un cambio en el título constitutivo de la comunidad por lo que el mismo debería de adoptarse por unanimidad que en el supuesto que comentamos no se daba. Se argumentaba que el cambio de coeficiente de participación en la instalación y mantenimiento de los ascensores afectaba a este título constitutivo. También se alegó un abuso del derecho por parte de los propietarios de las viviendas inferiores en la toma de este acuerdo que beneficiaba a unos vecinos frente a los otros, actuando en perjuicio de la mayoría que

tiene que pagar por la instalación del ascensor lo que a otros se les ahorra de forma interesada. El problema fue resuelto por la Audiencia Provincial de Madrid en una sentencia de mayo del 2017 que seguía la doctrina sentada ya por otra sentencia del Tribunal Supremo de 23 de diciembre de 2014. En esta resolución se dice que parece razonable que la contribución a los gastos de instalación y mantenimiento del ascensor se haga en función del uso que se vaya hacer por los propietarios de los distintos piso y locales y del beneficio que vayan a obtener, pues es indudable la revalorización que experimenta el precio de los pisos de las plantas más altas cuando se coloca un ascensor. Sigue así la doctrina sentada por el Tribunal Supremo que, ante un caso similar, había afirmado que no se había perjudicado a los propietarios a quienes se les aumentó su contribución al pago de estos gastos específicos de ascensor. Las razones esgrimidas por el Tribunal Supremo fueron que la Comunidad utilizó un elemento que la propia Ley de Propiedad Horizontal considera valorable: el uso que se presume racionalmente que va a efectuarse de los servicios o elementos comunes. Con ocasión de regular las cuotas de participación, el artículo 5 de la Ley de Propiedad Horizontal dispone que para su fijación «se tomará como base la superficie útil de cada piso o local en relación con el total del inmueble, su emplazamiento interior o exterior, su situación y el uso que se presuma racionalmente que va a efectuarse de los servicios o elementos comunes». Si, pues, el legislador impone el uso racional como elemento valorable, es asumible sin duda ninguna que la Comunidad haya utilizado ese elemento para establecer la derrama. Porque esto es lo que hizo la Comunidad: en atención a la altura de las plantas asignó a las viviendas de cada una un distinto tanto por ciento para la derrama. Sigue diciendo además el Tribunal que el acuerdo no es discriminatorio. No se trata de que la Comunidad

acordara que solo los pisos de la planta XXX sufrieran un aumento respecto del importe que les podía corresponder en aplicación de las cuotas de participación. Se trata, como se ha anticipado, de que siguiendo un racional sistema de tantos por cientos, la Comunidad estableció una proporcionalidad en que, con base en el uso presumible del ascensor (razonable al disponerse en atención a las sucesivas alturas), cada planta debe contribuir a la derrama para afrontar los gastos de la instalación del mismo. Finalmente, el otro argumento que utiliza el Tribunal Supremo para admitir esta contribución no proporcional a las cuotas en el mantenimiento e instalación de ascensores es el hecho notorio que en el mercado inmobiliario tiene mayor valor un piso alto con ascensor que el mismo piso sin él. En este mismo ámbito es también conocida la dificultad de vender o arrendar un piso alto sin ascensor.

Lift Expenses At the law office we have become aware of a curious decision made in a ruling in a case to decide whether the agreement of a community of owners that agreed that the proper-ties on higher floors should pay more than the properties on lower floors for communal expenses corresponding to the installation and maintenance of the building´s lift, com-plied with the law. Specifically, the agreement taken was to distribute these costs with fifty percent evenly divided between all the owners and according to the coefficient of each flat or premises and the other fifty percent was obtained by combining the foreseeable use of the lift, charging more to the owners of the higher flats, and the ratio of the deed of incorporation of the property. The owners of the upper properties challenged this agreement based, among other for-mal matters, on the fact that it equated to a change in the deed of incorporation of the community, and consequently it should be unanimously adopted, which in the case that we commented had not happened. It was argued that the change to the ratio of participa-tion in the facility and maintenance of the lifts affected the deed of incorporation. An abuse of rights was also alleged against the owners of the lower properties in forming this agreement that benefited some residents over others, to the detriment of the ma-jority that has to pay for the installation of the lift, which saves others money in a

self-interested way. The problem was resolved by the Provincial Court of Madrid in a ruling taken in May 2017 which followed the doctrine already established by another ruling taken by the Supreme Court on 23 December 2014. This ruling say that it seems reasonable that the contribution to the expense of installing and maintaining the lift is carried out in accordance with its use by the owners of the different flats and premises and the benefit that they are going to obtain, as there is no doubt of the revaluation of the prices of flats on upper floors when a lift is installed. Thus continues the doctrine established by the Supreme Court which, faced with a simi-lar case, had stated that there had been no harm to the owners who had faced an increase in their contribution to the payment of these specific costs of the lift. The reasons put forward by the Supreme Court were that the Community used an element that the Hori-zontal Property Law considers valuable: the use that they presume will be reasonably made of the communal services or items. With regard to regulating the participation quotas, article 5 of the Horizontal Property Law outlines that in order to establish it, “the usable surface of each flat or premise in relation to the total of the property, its interior or exterior location, its location and the presumed reasonable use

that will be made of communal services or items will be taken into consideration”. Thus, if the legislator imposes rational use as a valuable aspect, it can undoubtedly be assumed that the Community has used that aspect to establish the levy. Because this is what the Community did: according to the height of the floors it assigned each property a different percent of the levy. The Court goes on to say that the agreement is not discriminatory. It is not the case that the Community agreed that only the flats on floor XXX would be subject to an increase with regard to the amount that may correspond to them applying the participation rates. The fat of the matter is that, as outlined above, following a rational system of percentage points, the Community established a proportional system whereby, based on the presumable use of the lift (reasonable by providing a service to the successive heights), each floor must contribute to the levy in order to pay for the costs of installing it. Finally, the other argument used by the Supreme Court to allow this non-proportional contribution to the fees for maintaining and installing lifts is the well-known fact that on the property market a flat on a high floor with a lift is worth more than one on the same floor without one. In this same regard, it is also known that selling or renting a flat on an upper floor without a lift can be difficult.

Corrupción paradójica

La corrupción política ocasiona escándalo en los ciudadanos, pero no siempre mucho impacto en sus votos. Se dirá que somos hipócritas. Sin embargo, parece que esta paradójica conducta se limita al ámbito político. En el resto de nuestra vida social no somos así, y siempre reaccionamos cuando alguien nos miente o nos arrebata lo que es nuestro, o simplemente muestra una conducta que no está a la altura de nuestras expectativas. Por ejemplo, hace poco conocimos que unos cooperantes de Oxfam, una ONG que presume de “combatir la pobreza y el sufrimiento”, habían protagonizado una serie de episodios de abusos sexuales e irregularidades económicas. La respuesta fue inmediata: varios donantes manifestaron su deseo de interrumpir su colaboración

con Oxfam, y sólo en España más de 1.200 personas abandonaron la organización. Es lógico: no tiene sentido ayudar a una organización humanitaria cuyos patrones éticos dejan, en varios casos, tanto que desear. Pero, entonces, ¿por qué somos tan severos con Oxfam y no lo somos con los políticos? Todo indica, en efecto, que los políticos pueden actuar de manera detestable, pero seguir contando con apoyo popular. Pensemos en el gran éxito del PSOE en nuestra Andalucía desde hace décadas: la corrupción puede haberle afectado, sin duda, pero no lo ha hundido por completo en la catástrofe electoral. Esto vale también para el PP en varios lugares de España, como Madrid o Valencia. Y la espectacular corrupción de los nacionalistas catalanes no ha acabado con ellos del todo, y eso que venía prota-

gonizada nada menos que por la “familia real” de Jordi Pujol. Una diferencia apreciable entre Oxfam y los partidos políticos estriba en las alternativas. Hay numerosas ONGs, y muchas organizaciones caritativas, religosas o laicas. Si no nos gusta una de ellas siempre podemos colaborar con otra. En cambio, el abanico de formaciones políticas con opciones parlamentarias o de gobierno es siempre estrecho. Entre esa circunstancia y el hecho de que los políticos se financian con dinero extraído a la fuerza de nuestros bolsillos, independientemente de la mala opinión que tengamos de ellos, todo conspira para que nuestros estándares morales sea particularmente laxos con las autoridades. Más que hipócritas, ante la política somos cínicos.

Paradoxical Corruption Political corruption causes a scandal among citizens, but it does not always have a big impact on their votes. It could be said that we are hypocrites. However, it seems that this behavioural paradox is limited to the political sphere. In the rest of our social lives we are not like that, and we always react whenever someone lies to us or takes from us what is ours, or simply conducts themselves in a way that falls short of our expectations. For example, we recently discovered that some aid workers from Oxfam, an NGO that claims to “combat poverty and suffering”, have been involved in a series of episodes of sexual abuse and financial irregularities. The response was immediate: several donors stated their wish to terminate their collaboration with Oxfam, and in Spain alone more than 1,200 people left the organisation. This is logical: it makes no sense to support a humanitarian organisation whose ethical standards often leave a great deal to be desired. But, then, why are we so tough on Oxfam but not with politicians? Indeed, everything indicates that politicians can act in a detestable way yet continue to have popular support. Think of the great success of PSOE in Andalucía for decades now: corruption may undoubtedly have affected it, but it has not relegated it completely to electoral failure. This also applies to the PP in several areas of Spain, such as Madrid and Valencia. Also, the spectacular corruption of the Cata-

lan nationalists has not totally finished them off, and indeed it featured none other than the “royal family” of Jordi Pujol. A substantial difference between Oxfam and political parties resides in the options available. There are several NGOs, and many charity organisations, whether religious or secular. If we do not like one of them, we can always collaborate with another one. On the other hand, the range of political

parties with the chance of parliamentary or government power is always narrow. Between this situation, and the fact that politicians are funded with money taken forcibly from our pockets, regardless of our poor opinion of them, everything conspires to ensure that our moral standards are particularly lax with authorities. More than hypocrites, we are cynical in relation to politics.

El sueño americano, a través de una beca de estudiante. La joven Lucía Andrades Expósito, de 15 años de edad y natural de Pueblo Nuevo, estudiará el próximo curso, su primer año de Bachillerato, en suelo norteamericano gracias a una de las 500 becas para estudiantes que proporciona la Fundación Amancio Ortega. La brillante alumna, con nota media de 9,8 y 10 en inglés, logró pasar un exhaustivo y exigente proceso de selección (al que se enfrentaron cerca de 10.000 escolares de toda España); para poner el próximo verano rumbo hacia Estados Unidos o Canadá (se reparten al 50% los destinos entre ambos países). “El pasado curso, en clase, nos hablaron sobre la posibilidad de solicitar estas becas y cuando tuve la oportunidad no dudé en presentarme; tengo mucha ilusión por vivir la experiencia y aprender todo

lo que pueda”, explica sonriente esta alumna del IES José Cadalso. “El primer paso fue superar una prueba escrita en Málaga (todo en inglés) y una vez pasado el corte, una vídeo-entrevista también en inglés”; detalla sobre el proceso de selección que se completa con

la validación de la renta económica de los padres, para cumplir con todos los requisitos. “Cuando leí mi nombre en la lista me puse a llorar”, sonríe mientras describe la cara de sus padres al conocer la noticia; ya sueña con todo lo que está por venir.

Lucía, junto a otros 499 compañeros, conocerán en los próximos meses su destino norteamericano (bien Canadá o EE. UU.). El perfil no será el de una gran ciudad y se alojará con una familia local; con el objetivo de que la inmersión sea total tanto

en la sociedad como en la cultura de la comunidad en la que se ubique (la selección de la familia y ciudad será acorde a unos parámetros extraídos de los datos personales y académicos de cada alumno). “Tenemos que ser muy activos durante el curso escolar, participar en todas las actividades posibles e incluso involucrarnos en la vida social de la ciudad que nos designen”, explica la estudiante. Sin duda, uno de los requisitos más duros del programa es que no podrá recibir ni realizar visitas a España durante el curso. Lucía, junto a Blanca Gavira Yélamo (del Colegio la Inmaculada de Algeciras), serán las dos únicas alumnas de la zona que partan a tierras americanas para estudiar el 11º Grado (el curso equivalente en su sistema educativo), gracias a la fundación del presidente del Grupo Inditex.

The brilliant student, with an average mark of 9.8 and 10 in English, managed to overcome a rigorous and demanding selection process (that involved close to 10,000 school pupils from all over Spain); in order to head to the

United States or Canada (the destinations are split equally between both countries). “Last year, in class, we heard about the chance to request these grants and when I had the chance I did not hesitate to take part; I am really excited about enjoying the experience and learning as much as I can”, explains the pupil from IES José Cadalso with a smile on her face. “The first step was to pass a written test in Malaga (all in English) and once I had made the cut, there was also a video-interview in

English”; she states regarding the selection process that is completed with the validation of the economic income of the parents, in order to fulfil all the requirements. “When I read my name on the list I started crying”, she smiles while describing the look on her parents´ faces when they heard the news and she is dreaming about everything to come. Lucía, along with another 499 school pupils, will discover their North American destination over the coming months (either Canada

or the United States). The destination will not be a large city and she will stay with a local family; with the aim of ensuring total immersion in both society and in the culture of the community where the pupil goes (the selection of the family and the city will be carried out in accordance with criteria taken from the pupil´s personal and academic data). “We have to be very active during the academic year, participate in all the possible activities and even get involved in the social life of the city where we

are sent”, explains the student. Undoubtedly, one of the toughest requirements of the program is that she will not be able to either visit Spain or receive visits from Spain during the year. Lucía, along with Blanca Gavira Yélamo (from Colegio la Inmaculada de Algeciras), is one of only two pupils from the area heading to America to study 11th Grade (the equivalent course in their educational system) thanks to the foundation of the Inditex Group president.

El número de licencias de jugadores en España logra frenar su descenso a un 0,5% y aún menos en Andalucía La región autonómica sigue siendo la segunda comunidad que más aporta al conjunto (43.653) La comunidad golfística del Valle del Guadiaro aporta el 38,4% de las licencias gaditanas El Club de Golf Municipal La Cañada lidera la tabla de federados locales. San Roque Club, La Reserva Club y la propia Cañada, suman nuevos federados.

El golf español comienza a remontar y lo hace logrando prácticamente el equilibro en datos estadísticos, es decir, logran frenar el descenso de licencias federativas, una inercia imparable en los últimos 6/8 años; hasta perder durante el pasado ejercicio tan sólo un 0,5% de la cuota. Cerró el ejercicio 2017 con un total de 1.443 licencias menos, lo que en números se traduce en: pasar de 273.527 a 272.084 jugadores amateurs. Sin duda, una cuota que mejora el interanual que venía registrándose y que alcanzó caídas de un 6% (2013), 3,7% (2014), 2,7% (2015), 1,5 (2016) y ahora este 0,52%. Citar, como cifra histórica, los 338.588 federados que se registraron en el año 2010 como máximo histórico nacional. Respecto a los datos generales, destacar el papel de la cantera y del golf femenino como vía de futuro generacional y cuantía considerable. Las licencias femeninas alcanzan y superan la cifra de 78.000 lo que prácticamente acaricia un 30% del global. Destacar en este sentido que hasta 42.244 de las mismas pertenecen a mujer mayores de 50 años, más de 24.000 a edades comprendidas entre 21 y 50; y por último, más de 8.400 las de cantera (que por cierto, crecen hasta en 150 unidades). En general, se amplía la base del golf de cantera. A nivel autonómico, la mayoría de regiones acabaron con número rojos a excepción del equilibrio de Madrid (que también figura en datos provinciales) y el incremento de cuatro comunidades. Concretamente, Baleares subió en un 5%, Murcia, por encima del 0,5%; mientras que Galicia y Aragón subieron algo por encima del 0,4%. En el apartado regional, desta-

car el gran papel que desvuelve Andalucía, que suma la segunda mayor cantidad de licencias en el país (43.653); sólo superado por la comunidad madrileña que lidera las tablas nacional con sus 81.836 miembros. Tan sólo lo sigue, en tercer lugar y a mucha distancia, los 29.528 registros con los que cuenta la Comunidad de Cataluña. Antes de pasar al apartado provincial, en cuanto a su liderazgo, desgranar las cualidades de Andalucía en este sentido ya que la provincia de Cádiz mantiene la segunda posición de la región con sus 9.714 licencias, tan sólo superado por los 17.997 de Málaga; ambas se consolidan como

4ª y 3ª provincia en número de inscritos a nivel nacional. Tras Madrid, el segundo lugar lo ocupa, como no podía ser de otra manera, Barcelona. Destacar en este sentido que los 3.727 inscritos con los que cuenta la Comunidad golfística del Valle del Guadiaro aportan cerca del 9% de los registros de toda Andalucía y suponen una cuota superior al 38% de las licencias gaditanas. En cuanto a las pérdidas de registros a nivel andaluz, la comunidad perdió un total de 138 respecto al pasado curso en el que contaba con 43.515; algo que le lleva sólo a ceder un 0,3% de su total. Caso parecido es el de Cá-

diz que de su 9.885 pasa a contabilizar un total de 9.714 lo que es un descenso poco notable; como lo es el del Valle del Guadiaro que tan sólo se deja por el camino un total de 78 licencias respecto al pasado curso que se podrían vincular al SIGA, respecto al último ejercicio. En cuanto a lo que es en sí, la comunidad golfística del Valle del Guadiaro, como antes se explicaba, tiene una cuota total de 3.727 licencias repartidas entre sus diferentes clubes y campos de golf de la zona; algunos de ellos considerados y clasiﬁcados como los mejores de Europa. En cuanto a suma, en estado puro, por supuesto destaca el papel del Club Municipal de Golf La Cañada que con 1.460 licencias lidera el total en el Valle del Guadiaro, con un importante incremento respecto al pasado año (1.159). Por su parte, según los datos oﬁciales, el Real Club de Golf Sotogrande pasa de los 1.167 a los 1.146 federados. El siguiente en la cuota y tercero en número, sería San Roque Club que crece, poco, pero incrementa sus licencias locales hasta las 348. En el siguiente puesto, aparecen Alcaidesa Links Golf con sus 264 (crece hasta en 37 nuevos federados respecto al anterior conteo); y Real Club Val-

derrama, considerado el mejor trazado continental, con sus 234 licencias. Almenara Golf sería el siguiente, aunque cediendo una docena de licencias, con sus 189 inscritos para cerrar la cuota de mercado local, los 86 federados de La Reserva Club, con seis nuevas altas. En el último apartado aparecen los datos de los profesionales nacionales, en total 1.510 (1.552 si le suman las 66 Medallas del Mérito). Este ranking lo encabeza Madrid, con sus 347 profesionales, aunque seguido de cerca por Andalucía con sus 312; cierra el podio la Federación Catalana con sus 212 profesionales.

Spanish golf is beginning to make a comeback and is doing so by practically attaining a balance in statistical data, that is to say, it has managed to slow down the drop in federation licences, an unstoppable momentum over the last 6/8 years; and last year it only lost 0.5% of the quota. 2017 finished with a total of 1,443 fewer licences, which is terms of numbers means going from 273,527 to 272,084 amateur players. Undoubtedly, this quota is an improvement on the inter-annual records of recent years, which saw drops of 6% (2013), 3.7% (2014), 2.7% (2015), 1.5 (2016) and now it is at 0.52%. As an historic figure it is worth mentioning the 338,588 federated players recorded in 2010 as the all-time national record. With regard to the general data, it is worth highlighting the role of young golfers and women´s golf as a generational path forward in the future, and with considerable numbers. Women´s licences have attained and surpassed the figure of 78,000 which is practically 30% of the total figure. In this regard, it should be highlighted that 42,244 of these licences belong to women over the age of 50, more than 24,000 belong to those aged between 21 and 50; and lastly more 8,400 are for youth players (which indeed

rose by 150). In general, the base of young players is growing. On a regional level, most regions ended up in the red, except for the balance in Madrid (which also features in provincial data) and the increase in four communities. Specifically, the Balearic Islands saw a 5% increase, Murcia rose by over 0.5%; while in Galicia and Aragon the increase was a little over 0.4%. On a regional level, it is worth highlighting the great role of Andalucía, which added the second largest number of licences in the country (43,653); only surpassed by the community of Madrid which tops national tables with its 81,836 members. It is only followed, in third, and a long way behind, by the 29,528 licences of the Community of Catalonia. Before moving on to provinces, in terms of their leadership, it is worth breaking down the qualities of Andalusia in this regard as the province of Cadiz remains in second place in the region with its 9,714 licences, only surpassed by the 17,997 of Malaga; both have consolidated their positions as 4th and 3rd place provinces in terms of registered players on a national level. After Madrid, as you would except, second place is held by Barcelona.

In this regard, it is worth highlighting the 3,727 registered players in the golfing community of Valle del Guadiaro which provides almost 9% of recorded players in all of Andalucía, and over 38% of the licences in Cadiz. As for the losses in payers on an Andalusian level, the community lost a total of 138 in comparison to last year when it had 43,515; which means it lost 0.3% of the total number. There is a similar situation in Cadiz, which went from a total of 9,885 to 9,714, which is an unremarkable drop; and the same applies to Valle del Guadiaro which only lost 78 licences in relation to last year, which could be linked to SIGA. As for the golfing community of Valle del Guadiaro in itself, as explained before, it has a total number of 3,727 licences divided among the different clubs and golf courses in the area; some of them are considered and classified as the best in Europe. In terms of the total, La Cañada Municipal Club of course stands out, and with 1460 licenses it is the leader in all of Valle del Guadiaro, with a significant increase in relation to last year (1159). In turn, according to official data, Real Club de Golf Sotogrande went from 1,167 to 1,146 federated

After the celebration of the 2018 FITUR International Tourism Fair in Madrid (Ifema); we spoke to several political representatives from a regional and municipal level in order to find out their first-hand impressions about the role of Campo de Gibraltar and San Roque at this edition. Also, now a season is getting underway with the celebration of different tourism events in

other areas of Europe, where presenting an attractive image as a joint oﬀer is essential in order to boost the interest of other areas of the continent in San Roque and Sotogrande, as well as the rest of the Region.

Specifically, at the stand of the Association of Municipalities of Campo de Gibraltar, as part of its “On a plate” proposal, this area had a very notable performance. Excellence of a Region, transformed into prizes Association of Municipalities holds III Regional Prizes at Hotel Reina Cristina in Algeciras, to recognise different figures and institutions for their work and trajectory in the social, business, sporting and cultural life of Campo de Gibraltar The Events Room at Hotel Reina Cristina in Algeciras, hosted the third edition of the Regional Prizes awarded by the Association of Municipalities of Campo de Gibraltar. This event, attended by the main representatives of the public and private sectors in Campo de Gibraltar, which awards seven prizes each year to different figures and institutions for their great work in the Region, whether in the professional, social, cultural or sporting sectors. Following the formal greeting and the welcome by Luis Ángel Fernández, president of the As-

sociation of Municipalities, the awards ceremony took place. Beforehand, as a special distinction and a joint award, the regional entity presented an award to the seven mayors of the municipalities that comprise the association of municipalities. El PIVG critica el plan de inversiones y reclama la rehabilitación de la travesía de Torreguadiaro 1 M. Gil

El PIVG, a través de su portavoz en la corporación sanroqueña, Jesús Mayoral, recriminó al actual equipo de gobierno municipal de “arrasar en 2017 las partidas del presupuesto de gastos corrientes y las transferencias a las empresas municipales pero ha sido incapaz de llevar a cabo el Plan de Inversiones financieras aprobado a finales de abril del remanente positivo del año 2016 al que se destinaban 15.851,630,41 euros”. Mayoral defiende que en las cuentas de 2018 ya “eliminaban porque estimaban que no llegarían a tiempo al tenerse que contratar antes de finalizar el año cerca de 5,6 millones en proyectos que estaban muy retrasados”.

Concretamente, detalla, “se eliminaba en Valle del Guadiaro, las mejoras de accesibilidad y acondicionamiento urbano de la antigua travesía de la N-340 de Torreguadiaro por 1.437.438,92 euros; La rehabilitación del parque de La Rosaleda en Campamento por 1.608.796,04 euros y un edificio docente para la Universidad Popular de 2.353.662,06 euros, junto al ayuntamiento”. Desde el PIVG “lamentamos que algunos de los proyectos más necesarios y que llevan demandándose durante años, como la Travesía de la N-340 de Torreguadiaro que ya está en un estado deplorable, se haya eliminado del presupuesto del año 2018 por la incapacidad de este equipo

de gobierno”. Además, reclama “responsabilidades de todo ese dinero extra que se ha estado pagando y contrataciones externas que se han realizado y que por las peleas entre el alcalde y la Secretaria General aireadas hasta en la prensa no han servido ni para cumplir con el motivo de la autorización de ese programa de horas extras aprobado por decreto del alcalde”. “Este equipo de gobierno en lo único que es experto es en gastar en su política de escaparte. Sólo en publicidad se gastan más de 100.000 euros adicionales, disponiendo de una radio y una televisión, que prácticamente utilizan ellos y nos cuesta 1,2 millones a los sanroqueños”, subraya.

Dos detenidos por el robo en una vivienda de la calle de la Iglesia en Torreguadiaro Forzaron la puerta de entrada y se llevaron numerosos objetos, que fueron parcialmente recuperados 1 M. Gil

Agentes de la Guardia Civil, del Puesto Principal de Guadiaro, detuvieron a dos personas (de nacionalidades marroquí y española de 40 y 32 años) como presuntas autoras de un delito contra el patrimonio en una de las viviendas de la calle de la Iglesia de Torreguadiaro. Las detenciones se produjeron a raíz de la denuncia presentada por la víctima en la que informó a la autoridad del robo sufrido en la vivienda que posee en Torreguadiaro, utilizada como segunda residencia, y en la que los ladrones una vez forzaron la puerta, entraron en el interior y se llevaron numerosos objetos. En la inspección ocular realizada

por los agentes, comprobaran el forzamiento de la puerta y recogieron vestigios del delito, que permitieron la identificación de los autores y su posterior detención. Parte de lo sustraído pudo ser recuperado en una tienda de venta de artículos de segunda mano de La Línea de la Concepción. En concreto: una consola de videojuegos, numerosos videojuegos, una caña y una red de pesca, que fue vendido por los ya detenidos. De los hechos se instruyeron las correspondientes diligencias que en unión de los detenidos, con antecedentes policiales, fueron puestos a disposición de la Autoridad Judicial.

Defensa Ciudadana Activa cuestiona la licitud de badenes en Alcaidesa 1 M. Gil

La asociación Defensa Ciudadana Activa anunció que al “tener conocimiento de la creación en estos días de nuevos obstáculos” en las vías principales de La Alcaidesa procedió a presentar una denuncia ante el departamento de Urbanismo e informar a la Policía Local. Desde DCA consideran “evidente” que se ha realizado sin licencia de obras porque los obstáculos “no cumplen la normativa básica al respecto, que en este caso sería la Orden FOM 3053/2008”. El colectivo recuerda que “conforme al art. 4.a del Real Decreto Legislativo 6/2015 (Texto refundido de la Ley de Tráfico), la competencia de la aprobación de normativa técnica básica que afecte de manera directa a la seguridad vial corresponde únicamente a la Administración General del Estado”. Así mismo, asevera que según “el art. 5.2 del R.D. 1428/2003 establece que no se considerarán obstáculos en la calzada los resaltos en los pasos de peatones y bandas transversales, siempre que cumplan la regulación básica establecida al efecto por el Ministerio de Fomento…”. Por ello desde DCA insisten en que “es imposible que ningún Ayuntamiento pueda disponer sus propias normas

Active Civic Defence questions legality of speed bumps in Alcaidesa The Active Civic Defence (DCA) announced that “having been made aware of the creation of new obstacles at present” on the main roads in La Alcaidesa, it presented a complaint to the Town Planning department and informed the Local Police. La presidenta de la Junta de Andalucía, Susana Díaz, recibió al Ministro Principal, Fabián Picardo, en el Palacio de San Telmo, sede oficial del gobierno autonómico. Se trata de la primera vez que un Ministro Principal de Gibraltar visita a la máxima autoridad de la Junta de Andalucía en la propia sede del gobierno autonómico. La reunión bilateral entre ambos gobiernos fue positiva y productiva y se centró en sus respectivas áreas de competencia. Ambas partes mostraron su determinación por garantizar que los residentes y trabajadores no se vean afectados negativamente como consecuencia de la salida de la Unión Europea por parte del Reino Unido y Gibraltar.

El V Plan de Asfaltado municipal se retoma esta semana tras unos días de parón debido al temporal. Hasta ahora se ha trabajado en distintos viales en San Roque Casco y Estación, aunque el nuevo asfalto llegará a todos los núcleos de población en las próximas semanas. Torreguadiaro, Guadiaro, San Enrique y Pueblo Nuevo, entre los puntos seleccionados para la mejora de calles. Este quinto plan acomete más de 20 vías, lo que hacen un total de 200 desde el inicio del proyecto, un 80% del total del municipio, según contabiliza la propia administración local. El delegado de Urbanismo, Juan Manuel Ordóñez, apuntó que “la empresa

Maygar, adjudicataria de este Plan de Asfaltado, tiene previsto finalizar primero con San Roque Casco y la Zona Interior, pasar luego a la Zona de Bahía y finalizar en el Valle del Guadiaro, si bien esta planificación puede cambiar de orden en función de distintos factores”. “Así -concretó el edil- se va a asfaltar en dos calles de Campamento; una de Puente Mayorga así como en la Barriada Cepsa; cinco calles de Taraguilla; dos calles más de San Roque Casco; dos de Guadiaro y otras dos de Pueblo Nuevo; una de San Enrique; y dos de Torreguadiaro, así como en la Barriada de Pescadores. A todo ello hay que sumar

varios lomos de asno, que es como se denomina oficialmente a lo que se conoce como badenes o resaltos”. El Quinto Plan de Asfaltado tiene un importe de algo menos de 200.000 euros. Para el año 2018, la idea es comenzar el adecentamiento exterior de los alrededor de 200 edificios municipales repartidos por todo el territorio sanroqueño. A la licitación del Quinto Plan de Asfaltado concurrieron cinco empresas, habiéndose adjudicado a la sevillana Construcciones Maygar. El precio de licitación, situado en 200.000 euros (IVA incluido) se rebajó finalmente a algo más de 170.000 euros.

Avanza la remodelación del Recinto Ferial de Guadiaro El Consistorio da nuevos pasos en el Recinto Ferial de Guadiaro para que se convierta en una alameda de esta barriada, ya que la misma carece de un espacio de estas características. Para ello, se están ejecutando diversas obras. Concretamente, se trata de una inversión de algo más de 112 mil euros (más IVA), aunque la licitación inicial fuera de casi 170 mil euros. Las obras se adjudicaron a la empresa Rojas Carrillo. Consisten en la adecuación del Recinto Ferial para convertirlo en zona de ocio y esparcimiento, de manera que tenga un mayor uso por parte de los vecinos de Guadiaro. El proyecto contempla un paseo central con una pérgola, que daría acceso a las actuales zonas de césped junto a la ribera del rio. A la derecha, junto a la depuradora, se ha instalado un parque canino, y a la izquierda un parque infantil con un gran tobogán y una tirolina. Además de ello el proyecto contempla la construcción de una pistas de minibasket, otra de baloncesto y una de fútbol, aunque siempre respetando la esencia del lugar como recinto Ferial. Las obras se iniciaron en agosto y hace unos meses hubo una mejora de la eficiencia energética, y también se mejoró la pavimentación con los planes Profea.

The Fifth Paving Plan is valued at just under 200,000 Euros. For 2018, the idea is to begin with exterior improvement work around 200 municipal buildings spread all over San Roque. Five companies presented bids for the Fifth Paving Plan, and it was awarded to the Seville company Construcciones Maygar. The tender price, set at 200,000 Euros (including VAT) was finally reduced to a little over 170,000 Euros.

Refurbishment of Guadiaro Fairground progresses The Council has taken new steps at the Guadiaro Fairground in order to turn it into a boardwalk in this district, as it lacks a space of these characteristics. El Valle del Guadiaro y especialmente en Guadiaro, la fiesta de carnaval se vivió intensamente con un fin de semana lleno de actividades y eventos que se llevaron gran parte del protagonismo. Desde que se diese el pistoletazo de salida el viernes, con la elección de las ninfas y apertura de la carpa junto al campo de La Unión; la gran ‘movida’ se reservaba para el sábado y domingo de carnaval. Por supuesto, a media tarde, la celebración del pasacalles por todo Guadiaro, con familias y grupos de pequeños perfectamente disfrazados, cenró la priemra parte del protagonismo. Premios a los disfraces, atracciones y actividades infantes, además de diferentes actuaciones en directo, se llevaron gran parte del tiempo durante un fin de semana con Don Carnal, como pieza protagonista en el Valle del Guadiaro.

Los entrenadores de la academia son miembros de la ATM y utilizarán métodos reconocidos para crear conﬁanza y hacer crecer las habilidades y conocimientos técnicos de los alumnos a lo largo del programa. De este modo, se beneﬁciarán de muchas oportunidades para competir, ver jugar al primer equipo y participar en actividades de consolidación de equipos. El curso termina con una visita a la Academia en Madrid en la que los alumnos podrán poner en práctica todo lo que han aprendido. Fuera del campo, los estudiantes

acuden a las clases que se imparten en SIS, donde los profesores inspiran y motivan a cada uno de sus alumnos para que alcancen su máximo potencial académico. CEIP Barbésula Proyectos e ilusión para afrontar el nuevo calendario Comenzamos esta nueva publicación recordando lo entrañables y divertidas que fueron nuestras navidades con la visita del cartero real y los reyes magos, la salida al buzón para enviar felicitaciones a las familias, y la gran ﬁesta de actuaciones. A la vuelta de las vacaciones hemos comenzado el trimestre con muchas ganas de hacer cosas nuevas, y seguir aﬁanzando el carácter constructivista de nuestro cole. Por ello, desde las edades más tempranas llevamos a cabo diversos proyectos de investigación como el de cocineros, para continuar en primaria con la transmisión de

valores fundamentales como la preservación de la naturaleza, la educación vial, la convivencia y la paz, etc. Desde el claustro del centro intentamos abrir un gran abanico de posibilidades de aprendizaje, y esperamos con ganas los próximos meses para seguir enriqueciendo a nuestro alumnado, y creciendo y disfrutando juntos.

Colegio San José MUN San José La crisis del Mediterráneo, la situación de Corea o el cambio climático han sido algunos de los temas debatidos por los alumnos de 3º de ESO del Colegio San José durante las jornadas en las que se ha celebrado MUN San José. Han sido dos días intensos en los que los alumnos han debatido sobre cuestiones de envergadura internacional, cooperando entre ellos para conseguir objetivos concretos y negociando para llegar a acuerdos que finalmente se han presentado como verdaderas resoluciones de Naciones Unidas a través de las que se adoptan una serie de medidas. En el caso de la problemática de la migración, la comisión reunida propuso, “a través de las ayudas aportadas por países como Italia, promover más trabajo y generar nuevas rutas para que

los refugiados se distribuyan por más países. Que en países de tránsito de refugiados, como Túnez o Marruecos, se instalen núcleos de salvamento marítimo de calidad, financiados por los países desarrollados antes mencionados”. Respecto a la proliferación de armas nucleares en Corea del Norte se determinó lo siguiente: “Alarmados por el avance tan rápido y exitoso de las pruebas nucleares, decidimos imponer un mayor número de sanciones tanto económicas como políticas a Corea del norte, y asimismo hacer un llamado al resto de países para que cumplan las sanciones impuestas contra ello. Obligar a Corea del Norte a reducir el desarrollo avanzado de armas nucleares y además, eliminar el comercio transfronterizo”.

En cuanto al conflicto armado en Siria, la resolución aprobada por los jóvenes embajadores propuso “pedir al gobierno de Siria que detenga los ataques o prácticas militares contra otras regiones, en particular, poner fin a la práctica de los ensayos nucleares. El Consistorio concede 249 ayudas para libros de texto de Infantil ✑ Redacción

El Ayuntamiento de San Roque concedió finalmente 249 ayudas para libros de texto y material didáctico de Segundo Ciclo de Infantil, de las 264 solicitadas. Ello lleva a conceder 80 euros por alumno y estaban previstas un máximo de 275 ayudas. Destacar que este año se presentaron 21 solicitudes más que el año pasado, que se formalizaron 243 solicitudes. De las 264 solicitudes presentadas en el presente curso escolar, 249 fueron aceptadas, 9 denegadas, y 6 excluidas. El pasado año arrojaron cifras similares. Fueron 243 solicitudes, de las que 228 fueron aceptadas, 3 denegadas y 12 excluidas. La concejal de Educación, Belén Jiménez, señaló que “el importe final destinado a las familias que han sido beneficiarias de las ayudas económicas para la adquisición de los libros de texto y material didáctico escolar para el segundo ciclo de Educación Infantil de este año ha ascendido a 21.266,75 euros, superando a los 19.840 del curso 2016/2017 y a los 12.800 euros del curso anterior”. Destacó

que “este año se ha conseguido agotar casi en su totalidad el presupuesto destinado a esta ayuda, que ascendía a 22.000 euros. Los umbrales económicos se aumentaron en 2.000 euros más que el curso pasado, para cada categoría de familias según el nº de miembros”. En cuanto a los umbrales de ingresos (correspondientes al ejercicio 2016), se ha ampliado en 2.000 euros el destinado a las familias monoparentales (dos miembros), hasta llegar a 22.000 euros; para las familias de 3 miembros, la cantidad es de 27.000 euros; 32.000 para las de 4; 37.000 para las de 5; 42.000 para las de 6; 47.000 para las de 7; y 52.000 para las de 8. A partir del octavo miembro, por cada uno de ellos, se añadirán 2000 euros. En el caso de que los alumnos matriculados tengan una necesidad especíﬁca de apoyo educativo derivado de una discapacidad o de alta capacidad intelectual, este umbral se incrementa en 5.000 euros. También se requiere estar al corriente de pago de los impuestos municipales.

Novedades para el trabajador autónomo En los últimos meses hemos venido informando acerca de las novedades de las medidas recogidas en la Ley de reformas urgentes del trabajo autónomo que ha entrado en vigor el pasado 1 de Enero. Algunos de los cambios más notables hacen referencia a la conocida como Tarifa Plana, aumento de las bonificaciones, pago de cuotas, protección in itinere y gastos deducibles. En esta ocasión queremos poner el énfasis en el Artículo 32 del Reglamento de Afiliación de la Seguridad Social que recoge la forma, lugar y plazo de las solicitudes de altas, bajas y variaciones de datos. Hasta ahora se realizaba en pri-

mer lugar el alta en Hacienda y luego, dentro de un plazo de 30 días, se registraba el alta en la Seguridad Social. El cambio introducido afecta al orden en el que se realizan las altas ya que ahora habría que tramitar primero el alta en la Seguridad Social y luego en Hacienda. Las solicitudes de alta deberán presentarse por los sujetos obligados con carácter previo al comienzo de la prestación de servicios por el trabajador, sin que en ningún caso puedan serlo antes de los 60 días naturales anteriores al previsto para el inicio de aquella. Pero ojo que esto no significa que estemos cotizando desde

ese mismo día, sino que el alta se registrará con la fecha en la que tengamos previsto iniciar nuestro negocio o actividad. El alta en Hacienda se hará también con esa fecha prevista de inicio, por lo que si es posible, se recomienda realizar ambas altas el mismo día y así evitarnos problemas o hacerlo fuera de los plazos reglamentarios. Es importante tener en cuenta que para todos estos trámites es necesario disponer de certificado electrónico de firma. Otro asunto que suele crear confusión y malentendidos, es la deducción de los gastos en IRPF e IVA. Se debe considerar que la inclusión de gastos como dedu-

cibles que en realidad no lo son puede resultar tentador, pero constituye motivo de comprobaciones tributarias que pueden acabar en inspección y sanción. La Parroquia de Santa María la Coronada acogió la presentación del Cartel Oficial de Semana Santa 2018, una obra del artista sevillano Rafael Laureano, encargada el pasado año por el Consejo Local y Sacramental de Hermandades y Cofradías de San Roque. Pintada sobre madera, está protagonizada por la Virgen de la Merced. La selección de la Virgen de la Merced porque en 2018 hace 30 años de su primera salida en San Roque, y también porque se celebra el 800 aniversario de la fundación de la Orden Mercedaria en Barcelona por San Pedro Nolasco. Esta imagen, que nunca había protagonizado el cartel, procesiona en San Roque con la

Venerable Hermandad de Nuestro Padre Jesús Cautivo y Rescatado “Medinaceli” y Nuestra Señora de la Merced. A continuación tuvo lugar la exaltación del cartel, a cargo de José Ángel Vázquez Díaz, devoto de la Virgen de la Merced, tanto en su Almería natal como en San Roque, y cofrade de la Hermandad de Santa María Coronada. Explicó que era amigo del pintor desde hacía una década, y que “el cartel será muy comentado”. En la exaltación manifestó su amor y devoción por esta virgen y, de una manera poética, indicó que profunda relación con su vida, de la que es un pilar fundamental. Vázquez recibió un obsequio del Consejo

Local y otro de la Hermandad del Medinaceli, e hizo entrega a la misma de un broche. Además, se rindió homenaje a tres cofrades del Medinaceli, por su sacrificio para el engrandecimiento de la hermandad y por su colaboración con el mundo cofrade sanroqueño. También se hizo entrega de las pastas del Pregón Oficial de la Semana Santa de San Roque 2018 a Mercedes Caravaca, quien fue presidenta del Consejo Local y Sacramental de Hermandades y Cofradías entre los años 2009 y 2014; así como las pastas del Pregón de la Juventud Cofrade a José Manuel Morata, cofrade de las Angustias e hijo del recordado Manuel Morata.

El año 2017 fue muy positivo para la Red Municipal de Bibliotecas: se incrementó en 279 el número de socios respecto al año anterior, para llegar a los 11.391, y se prestaron más de 9.300 documentos. Además, se realizaron 83 actividades de animación a la lectura. Según los datos aportados por la Red de Bibliotecas, el número de usuarios que visitaron las bibliotecas de San Roque durante 2017 fue de 25.561. En cuanto al número de socios, se dieron de alta un total de 279 nuevos socios (145 adultos y 134 niños), de los que 229 son hombres y 278 mujeres. A fecha de 31 de diciembre de 2017 el número total de socios de la Red ascendía a 11.391. Durante 2017 se prestaron 9.346 materiales, la mayoría libros, pero también material audiovisual. Además, otro dato significativo es que se realizaron 757 reservas de libros ya prestados.

En cuanto a Internet, la Red de Bibliotecas ha recibido 2.201 búsquedas con 768 conexiones, logrando su perfil en Facebook más de un millar de “Me gusta”. Además, los estudiantes que utilizaron la sala de estudio de San Roque hicieron un total de 795. En cuanto a las adquisiciones, el año pasado se compraron 439 ejemplares nuevos, y se añadieron al catálogo otros 81 procedentes de donaciones. También hay que destacar que a lo largo de 2017 se realizaron 83 actividades de animación a la lectura en las distintas bibliotecas del municipio: cuentacuentos los primeros lunes de mes; talleres de animación a la lectura; proyección de películas infantiles los últimos lunes de mes; visitas de estudiantes de Secundaria; los certámenes de Relatos Cortos, de Cartas de Amor y el de Fotografía; la celebración del Día del Libro; la Feria del Libro Infantil y Juvenil

Alcaidesa Golf hosts II Pro-Am Otumba Charity Tournament A total of 32 teams enjoyed the course at Alcaidesa Golf, in excellent conditions, as the II Pro-Am Otumba Charity Tournament took place, to aid the Casa Hogar project that the initiative is backing.

With an overall result of 63 points, the team formed by the professional Antonio Gil and the enthusiasts Juan Ortega Gil, Jamal Benbdallah Driss and Raúl Fernández Vilanova took victory. In second place on 54 points

was the team comprised of the professional Juan Ochoa Montiel along with the enthusiasts Juan Cervera, Cayetano García Tapia and Martín Gutiérrez Álvarez. Lastly, the team in third place on 52 points was that led by Gabriel

¿Quién es José Mateo y cómo conoce el golf? Llego de la mano de mi padre; es con 6/7 añitos cuando comienzo a dar mis primeros golpes en La Cañada pero no es hasta las 10/12 años cuando decido dedicarme, como deporte exclusivo, al golf. ¿Por qué por el golf? Simplemente, como todos los niños buscas ganar y competir y eso me lo aportaba el golf, bastante más que el fútbol [bromea]. Gracias a golf comencé a conocer gente, viajar y me adentré en este deporte hasta enamorarme de él. Destacaría que nunca ves un mal gesto, tratas de ayudar al otro…tiene una deportividad que lo hace único. Tu formación pasa por SIGA (Sotogrande International Golf Academy) y La Cañada, ¿cierto? Si. Me inicié en La Cañada hasta los 15 años y decidí dar el paso a SIGA. Junto a María [Parra] fui de los primeros en ir a SIGA. Allí aprendí mucho gracias a uno de los mejores profesores que hay en la zona, Juan Antonio Marín. Pasé de ser un jugador más en La

Cañada a convertirme en un buen jugador de golf. Y eso se consigue gracias a potenciar temas físicos, psicológicos, etc. A todo eso accedíamos gracias a la ayuda que nos proporcionaba SIGA y que por el gran volumen de niños que tiene, lamentablemente, no puede llegar La Cañada. En SIGA, más o menos, rondábamos una docena de jugadores de “alto” nivel. Casi todos los integrantes de aquella generación de SIGA habéis seguido ligados profesionalmente al golf… Si, la verdad es que sí. María [Parra], ya es profesional desde el pasado año, Calvin [John Greschner] se encuentra en Estados Unidos y por ejemplo, Miguel Ángel Jiménez [hijo], también compite ya como profesional. ¿Por qué das ahora el paso a profesional? Llevaba mucho tiempo pensándolo y estoy convencido de que es el momento. Ya, en amateur, había poco más que hacer. Pienso que tengo la madurez idónea en el

campo y fuera de él; y se cumplen una serie de circunstancias propicias. Eso sí, es muy complicado. Doy este paso sin ningún patrocinio como tal, pero si realmente lo quieres intentar hay que hacer un esfuerzo y dar un paso al frente.

¿Había que probarlo? Lo tenía claro desde pequeño. Desde que comencé en este deporte y creces viendo a gente como Sergio [García] y Álvaro [Quirós]; sabía que tenía que probarlo, al menos intentarlo. Ves a gente que se han formado contigo, como son

los casos de María Parra y Mario Galiano, entrenas con ellos, etc. Y siempre tienes la cosita esa de que por lo menos hay que intentarlo. ¿Cuáles son tus objetivos más próximos? Este primer año, hacer el rodaje para que cuando llegue la Escuela del Circuito Europeo, al menos, poder ir y ver si consigo algo. Saber cómo funciona, ver qué nivel puedo dar, etc. En principio, jugaré Gecko Tour y Gambito Golf que son dos buenas varas de medir. Ahora todo es nuevo, soy novato y coger experiencia es el gran objetivo. ¿Cuándo tires la primera bola como profesional, qué es los primero que se te va a pasar por la cabeza? Principalmente, mi familia; de mi preparador, mi coach y de mi entrenador. También de todas las personas que han ayudado en este camino pero principalmente de mis padres, mi hermana, mi novia y todos esos que me han apoyado para dar este salto.

¿Tienes algún espejo, un jugador o deportista de referencia? En el golf, un jugador que me llama mucho la atención es Rafa Cabrera-Bello. No es un golfista que te vaya a ganar dos torneos en un año pero siempre está en la pelea y eso demuestra que es un currante, un trabajador y un tío que trata de superarse constantemente. Igualmente, Pablo Larrazábal es otro de los grandes, siempre pasando cortes y una actitud en el campo; y por supuesto Álvaro [Quirós], es el máximo ejemplo de que siendo de aquí se puede llegar a lo más alto. Y en general, como deportista, Rafa Nadal es un referente como ganador y un ejemplo en el esfuerzo y la constancia. ¿Sueñas con jugar en algún campo? En Augusta. Creo que es el sueño de cualquier golfista y más si es disputando un Master. Muchas gracias, te seguiremos la pista. Gracias a vosotros.

“I was always clear about taking the step up to professional level, at least trying it” The Guadiaro player, who trained in the junior ranks of La Cañada and SIGA Sotogrande, has taken the step up to professional golf Who is José Mateo and how did he discover golf? It came from my father, I was about 6/7 years old when I began to hit my first shots at La Cañada, but it wasn´t until I was 10/12 years old when I decided to devote myself exclusively to the sport of golf. Why golf? Simply, like all kids you want to win and compete and I got that from golf, quite a lot more than in football (joking). Thanks to golf, I began to meet people, travel and I delved into the sport until I fell in love with it. I would highlight the fact that you never see bad taste, people try to help one another...this sportsmanship makes it unique. You trained at SIGA (Sotogrande International Golf Academy) and La Cañada right? Yes. I began in La Cañada at the age of 15 and I decided to take the step up to SIGA. Along with María (Parra) I was one the first to continue on at SIGA. I learned a lot there thanks to one of the coaches there is in the area, Juan Antonio Marín. I went from being just another player at La Cañada to become a good golf player. And that is achieved thanks to improving physical and

psychological issues, etc. We achieved everything thanks to the help that SIGA provided to us, that La Cañada unfortunately cannot provide due to the large number of children. At SIGA, there were about a dozen players at a “high” level. Almost all the members of that generation at SIGA have continued to be professionally linked to golf... Yes, that is true. María [Parra], has been professional since last year, Calvin [John Greschner] is in the United States and for example, Miguel Ángel Jiménez [junior], is now also professional. Why did you take the step up to professional golf now? I had been thinking about it for a long time and I am convinced that now is the time. There was little more left to do as an amateur. I think that I have the right maturity both on and off the pitch; and there are a series of favourable circumstances. Having said that, it is very difficult. I have taken this step without any sponsor as such, but if you really want to try it you have to make an effort and step up. You had to try it?

I was clear about it from an early age. Since I began in this sport, and then you grow up seeing people like Sergio [García] and Álvaro [Quirós]; I knew that I had to go for it, and at least try it. You see people that have trained with you, as is the case of María Parra and Mario Galiano, you train alongside them, etc. And you always have that idea that you have to at least try it. What are your immediate objectives? In this first year, I want to get experience so that when the European Circuit School comes, I can at least go and see if I achieve something. Find out how it functions, see what level I can perform at, etc. In principle, I will play the Gecko Tour and Gambito Golf which are two

good yardsticks. Now, everything is new, I am a novice so getting experience is the big aim. When you hit your first ball as a professional, what is the first thing that goes through your head? Mainly, my family; my fitness trainer, my coach and my trainer. And also all the people that have helped along the way but mainly my parents, my sister, my girlfriend and everyone that has supported me to take the step up. Do you have a role model, a player or sports person that is a reference? In golf, a player that really grabs my attention is Rafa Cabrera-Bello. He is not a player that will go and win two tournaments in a year but he is always in the battle and that shows that he is a worker, someo-

ne who puts in the work and a guy that constantly strives to improve. Likewise, Pablo Larrazábal is another of the greats, always making cuts and with a great attitude out on the course; and of course Álvaro [Quirós], is the best example of how coming from this area you can reach the highest levels. And in general, as a sportsperson, Rafa Nadal is a benchmark as a winner and an example of effort and perseverance. Do you dream of playing at any course? At Augusta. El Campeonato de Andalucía de Cross, todo un éxito Más de 1.300 participantes se dan cita para la prueba en el Pinar del Rey 1 Manuel Gil

Más de 1.300 corredores llegados de toda Andalucía, participaron en el campeonato autonómico de Campo a Través de Cross Largo Individual y por Equipos. Se trataba de la segunda jornada del II Cross del Pinar del Rey, que comenzó con las carreras para aficionados. Sin duda, un espectáculo deportivo de primer nivel. En cuanto a los resultados, en la prueba reina, la carrera Sénior Masculino, el vencedor fue Pablo Sanchez Santos (con un tiempo de 31:34 sobre 10.000 metros), del Unicaja Atletismo, seguido de Abdelhadi El Mouaziz (Cueva de Nerja-UMA) y de Samuel Lay Rincón (Cueva de Nerja-UMA). En Sénior Femenina, la ganadora fue Tamara Pérez (39:04 también sobre 10.000 metros), del Club Dental Seoane Pampín, seguida de Carmen Inmaculada Valle Atienza, del Club Atletismo Betta, y de Rebeca García García, del Cueva de Nerja-UMA.

Luis Carlos López, con un tiempo de 22,33 sobre 6.000 metros, y Rosario Pruaño, con 17,47 sobre 4.000 metros, fueron los vencedores absolutos masculino y femenino de la prueba popular. Se propusieron tres circuitos. El “A” de 500 metros, el “B” de 1.000 metros y el C de 2.000 metros, a los que se daban las vueltas correspondientes según distancia marcada por categorías. Todo el recorrido se realizó campo a través. En cuanto a la clasificación absoluta masculina, estuvo encabezada por Luis Carlos López (22,33) del Atletismo Estepona, seguido de Pepe Gautier (Estutienda Atletismo) y Juan Jesús Reinaldo (Runners Barreños). La general femenina fue encabezada por la independiente Rosario Pruaño (17.47), seguida de Claire Simonnet (Atletismo Estepona) y Marisa Pitarch (Atletismo Linense). Andalusian Cross-Country Championship, a real success More than 1,300 runners from all over Andalucía, participated in the regional championship of Cross-Country Running, in the Long-distance Individuals and Team disciplines. This was the second day of the II Cross del Pinar del Rey, which began with fun runs. It was undoubtedly a topclass sporting spectacle. Un total de más de 130 jugadores se dieron en cita en las instalaciones del Campo Municipal de Golf La Cañada para disputar el Torneo Social Ongolf, una de las citas deportivas más concurridas durante el mes de febrero en el entorno golfístico. Una jornada espléndida en la que los jugadores disfrutaron de un campo en magníﬁcas condiciones y que tras la prueba tomó lugar el clásico almuerzo en el restaurante de la Casa Club y la posterior entrega de premios y sorteo de regalos.

A total of more than 130 players gathered at the facilities of La Cañada Municipal Golf Course to take part in the Ongolf Social Tournament, one of the most popular events during February in the golﬁng scene. It was a splendid day with players enjoying the course in magniﬁcent conditions and after the event the classic lunch took place at the Club House restaurant along with the subsequent awards ceremony and prize draw. As for the tournament winners; Pedro Muñoz Delgado took victory in the Men´s First Category, followed by Manuel Agüera and Rafael J. Martín. Francisco Gavira Padilla took victory in the Men´s Second Category, accompanied on the podium by Francisco Funes and Francisco García Torres, in second and third respectively. Meanwhile, in the Women´s Category, Ana Vega was the winner, followed by Irene Bueno and Josefa Gil; lastly, José Ledesma Gavira took victory in the Scratch Rankings; followed by Iván Sánchez and José María Piedra.

Torrejón, Hermana y Mori revalidan en San Roque Club su tercer Interclubes autonómico de golf 1 Manuel Gil

Blanca Hermana, Tere Torrejón y Jun Mori se impusieron, un año más, en el Campeonato de Andalucía Interclubs Femenino, que disputó, en esta edición y durante dos jornadas, en el Old Course de The San Roque Club. El equipo representante del Real Club de Campo de Málaga revalida título por tercer año consecutivo y suma su sexta victoria en la competición. Las campeonas entregaron durante la segunda jornada un excelente resultado de 170 golpes –apoyándose especialmente en los 80 golpes de Blanca

Hermana, mejor vuelta del día-, que les permitió hacerse con el triunfo, después de haber entregado un acumulado de 185, que las dejaba a cuatro golpes de las líderes al inicio de la segunda vuelta. Así, con 355 golpes al total, finalizó con una ventaja de seis golpes sobre las segundas clasificadas, el equipo del Real Club de Golf Guadalmina compuesto por Christina Birke, Joyce Heyster y Rosaleen Cunningham, que terminaban la primera jornada en tercera posición. Por su parte, las también representantes del Real Club

de Golf Guadalmina, Rosa Mª Sánchez, Anne Langgard y Ana Mª García, recogieron el premio a las primeras clasificadas hándicap, con 300 golpes netos. En esta ocasión, con un total de tres competiciones en el horizonte, Santa María Polo Club dio a conocer las primeras fechas de su calendario que arranca el próximo 23 de marzo, a compás del primer intervalo vacacional del año. Sin determinar aún si los torneos se celebrarán en las canchas de Los Pinos, previsiblemente ya que suelen ser el escenario habitual en Semana Santa, el ilustre club sotograndino adelantó el programa para equipos de Me-

diano [8-6 goles] y Baho Handicap [4-0]. La XXXIX edición del Memoria José Ignacio Domecq (23 de marzo – 1 de abril), será el pistoletazo de salida. Como siempre, repartido entre el primer fin de semana (el de Domingo de Ramos), un día festivo y con la fase decisiva en el último tramo de Semana Santa. Le sucederá el XVI Memorial Conde de Guaqui (5-8 de abril) y el Torneo de Primavera (12-15 de abril); como primeros platos de la temporada polística en Sotogrande. Medium (8-6 goals) and Low Handicap (4-0) teams. The XXXIX José Ignacio Domecq Memorial Tournament (23 March – 1 April), will be the starting point. As always, spread over the first weekend (that of Palm Sunday), a holiday, with the decisive phase taking place in the last stretch of Holy Week. It will be followed by the XVI Conde de Guaqui Memorial Tournament (5-8 April) and the Spring Tournament (12-15 April); as the appetizers ahead of the polo season in Sotogrande. Foreseeably, each of these competitions will have two categories (Medium and Low Handicap). Information about schedules, team and side activities will be provided at a later date.

Sotogrande acogerá una regata de embarcaciones clásicas en julio ✑ M. Solán

Las aguas de Sotogrande acogerán este verano un conjunto de regatas combinadas, en el que participarán medio centenar de barcos de distintas categorías en cuatro días de competición. Entre los barcos se incluyen 4 veleros históricos. El alcalde de San Roque, Juan Carlos Ruiz Boix, la teniente de alcalde de Turismo, Dolores Marchena, el director de Puerto Sotogrande, Miguel Angel Díez, y un miembro de la Fundación Ebusitana, de la embarcación Hispania, José F. Rabade, han presentado esta mañana el evento en el marco de la Feria Internacional de Turismo (Fitur).

El Puerto Deportivo de Sotogrande, en la primera semana de julio de 2018, entre el día 2 y el 8 de julio, organiza una regata combinada, con desarrollo en 4 días, de miércoles a sábado, en la que participarán, distribuidos en dos campos de regatas enfrente del puerto deportivo y una zona de navegación costera entre el puerto y Gibraltar, medio centenar de barcos. Por un lado, estarán los únicos 4 veleros de la clase métrica 15M que continúan en navegación de competición; el Hispania, el Tuiga, el Mariska y el Lady Anne, que disputarán 4 días en el campo de regatas y costeras exclusivas para la clase.

Por otro lado, aproximadamente 15 barcos clásicos entre los 12 a 15 metros, disputarán regatas costeras especíﬁcas; a los que hay que sumar la Clase Dragón, de 15 a 20 dragones competirán en campo de regatas del Puerto Deportivo de Sotogrande; y la Clase J80, en las que 10 a 15 embarcaciones competirán en el campo de regatas del Puerto Deportivo de Sotogrande.

Álvaro Mueller y Constanza Guerrero se hicieron con el triunfo en la novena edición del Trofeo Barbésula –prueba puntuable para el ranking andaluz masculino y femenino- que se celebró en el Club de Golf La Cañada, bajo la modalidad stroke play scratch. Comenzando por categoría masculina, el jugador del Real Club de Golf Guadalmina, Álvaro Mueller, ﬁrmó 75 golpes para hacerse con el triunfo, con un total de 149 (+7). Con sólo un golpe más acabó el federado por el Real Club de Golf Novo Sancti Petri, Pablo Carrascosa, que entregó dos idénticas vueltas de 75 golpes. Por su parte, Alberto Domínguez (Sherry Golf), se ha hecho con el tercer puesto gracias

El Club de Golf La Cañada afronta año electoral. El pasado viernes, 16 de febrero, se anunció en asamblea de socios la apertura del periodo electoral hasta el próximo 24 de marzo, día en el que está fijada la elección de presidente en la entidad. En la asamblea, toda la memoria presentada por el actual dirigente, José Chapaz, fue aprobada por unanimidad al tiempo que éste anunció su candidatura a la reelección en el cargo. Chapaza, expuso como principal motivo, su intención de finalizar todos los proyectos establecidos en su programa para un mayor desarrollo y crecimiento del club municipal guadiareño en todas las áreas. Al hacer un repaso de los hitos del mandato de José Chapaza, destacar en el último año el fuente empuje de inversiones (lo que no se tradujo en cuentas deficitarias), en cuestiones relacionadas con el mantenimiento del campo, resembrado de tees y antegreenes; así como un importante incremento en el número de competiciones sociales y premios más cuantiosos (logrando torneos con más de 400 participantes). más, resaltar el impulso al golf femenino con clases de formación y política de captación de nuevas socias; así como el incremento en la partida de golf adaptado, añadiendo un profesor más y mejoras en el campo, la casa club y la estética del aparcamiento. Resaltar también, la ampliación del contrato de seguridad y las ayudas a alumnos en competiciones federadas. También, el cambio de en el restaurante del club, cuya nueva adjudicación facilita descuentos de un 20% para socios y un 30% para empleados. Respecto a los adelantos que Chapaza anunció para el presente

curso, planteó en caso de reelección, un estudio del uso del agua y contemplar un riego con mayor sostenibilidad; así como tratar de agilizar la adjudicación del Consistorio para la Escuela de Golf y continuar con el plan de mejoras en el club y nuevas ventajas para los socios. En lo que refiere al calendario electoral, desde el 19 de febrero se encuentra abierto el plazo para la presentación de candidaturas que vence el próximo 4 de marzo; 20 días antes de la jornada de elecciones (24 de marzo); para conocer el presidente de La Cañada para los próximos cuatro años.

Pedro Marín y Valentina Albertazzi se hicieron con el triunfo en el Campeonato de Sevilla, disputado en el Real Club Pineda con la participación de más de un centenar de jugadores y bajo modalidad stroke play scratch. Ambos jugadores salían al campo en la segunda jornada en primera posición, tras liderar la competición desde el inicio. El jugador del Real Club de Golf Sotogrande, Pedro Marín, se apoyó en una excelente primera ronda de 68 golpes (-4) para hacerse con el triunfo, después de firmar el par del campo, para 140 golpes

al total. Tras él, ocupó la segunda posición el federado por Almerimar Golf, Emilio Hernández, con vueltas de 73 y 71 golpes. Por su parte, la federada por Atalaya Golf, Valentina Albertazzi fue la mejor en la clasificación femenina, siendo la única que consiguió rebajar el par del campo, con vueltas de 69 y 74 golpes, para -1 al total. Así, tuvo una amplia ventaja de nueve golpes sobre la segunda clasificada, la jugadora de Zaudín Golf, Carmen Laguna. Regresa el mejor golf, regresa el espectáculo La VI edición del Circuito Golf Sotogrande vuelve una temporada más con novedades y un calendario de pruebas que ningún amante del golf se puede perder. El pistoletazo de salida: 28 de abril en el Real Club de Golf de Sevilla 1 Manuel Gil

Vuelve el golf, vuelve la emoción y un circuito único en su formato que recorre los mejores campos del sur de Europa. El VI Circuito de Golf Sotogrande regresa por todo lo alto, con muchas novedades, y con un calendario compuesto por seis pruebas en recorridos de altísimo nivel y con el sello indiscutible de la organización de Grupo HPC. Seis pruebas hacia un objetivo por alcanzar: la Gran Final, una cita muy especial y que en pocos días desvelaremos el secreto de su escenario para el próximo mes

de noviembre. El Real Club de Golf de Sevilla, sede ya habitual en los últimos del circuito, acogerá la prueba inicial de esta sexta edición el próximo 28 de abril. Un campo de primer orden que abre la competición hasta llegar al segundo asalto, el 26 de mayo, en Valle Romano, otro campo que roza la excelencia y en el que debuta el Circuito. El 30 de junio se realiza el desembarco como tal en Sotogrande, después de dos pruebas con desplazamientos. Almenara Golf, un clásico desde el inicio

del circuito, acoge la tercera prueba, para terminar de sobrepasar el ecuador del calendario el 21 de julio en el Old Course de San Roque Club, otro de los fijos. El tramo final está reservado para Finca Corestín (25 de agosto), un campo para el que sobran las palabras; mientras que la temporada regular acaba el 29 de septiembre en el RACE de Madrid. Seis pruebas imponentes que permitirán acceder a la gran final. En siguientes ediciones iremos desvelando nuevos detalles del circuito.

The 6th Sotogrande Golf Circuit has returned in great style, with lots of new additions, and a schedule comprised of six events in elite level courses and with the unmistakeable hallmark of the organisation of Grupo HPC. There are six events leading towards an end target: The Grand Finale, a very special event and in a few days we will reveal the secret of its location for the date in November. Real Club de Golf de Sevilla, a customary venue in recent years on the circuit, will host the initial event of this sixth edition on 28 April. This is a first-rate course that opens the competition, before the second event, on 26

May, at Valle Romano, another course that verges on excellence and that is making its first appearance on the Circuit. 30 June marks the arrival per se in Sotogrande, after two events on the road. Almenara Golf, a classic since the start of the circuit, is hosting the third even, before passing the halfway point of the calendar on 21 July at Old Course, another of the regular courses. El ‘Urban Arkimides’ de Bassadone presenta candidatura al VII Circuito J80 Sotogrande 1 Manuel Gil

El monotipo capitaneado por John Bassadone bajo el nuevo nombre de Urban Arkimedes (antes Gesta Real State), fue el ganador del cuarto asalto al VII Circuito de J/80 Marina de Sotogrande/Land Rover celebrado en Sotogrande. El gibraltareño conseguía su segundo tanto consecutivo con dos victorias frente a una del todavía líder de la general provisional, el Marbella Team de Pepequín Orbaneja y Juan Luis Páez, con lo que consigue su propósito de acercarse para hacer tambalear su liderato de cara a futuros encuentros. Difíciles condiciones en lo meteorológico las que marcaron esta nueva convocatoria, salvada por el comité de regatas que dirige Guillermo Puche con la celebración de tres pruebas el sábado, toda vez que el domingo el área de regatas se revolvía y Puche tomaba la decisión correcta y enviaba a tierra a la flota salvaguardándola de los múltiples problemas que podrían haber surgido al pairo de vientos de entre 30 y 38 nudos de intensidad. El Marbella Team comenzó estrenando el marcador con victoria en la primera prueba -frente a un 4º del Urban Arkimedes-, y aun lo

aguantaría una prueba más tras anotar un 3º frente a la primera victoria del gibraltareño. En su mano a mano se metía entonces el PF Team de Petter Fjellstad (3º+2º) con lo que tras la segunda manga estos empataban con los de Bassadone sumando ambos sólo un punto más que el Marbella Team. Finalmente, el Urban Arkimedes sentenciaba de la mejor forma ganando la última prueba del día y a la postre de la cuarta convocatoria, frente a un 5º del Marbella Team y un 2º de Fjellstad, que conseguía la segunda plaza con un puntos más que el vencedor y dos menos que el líder provisional del circuito. Mucha atención a este

equipo que se descubre como un firme aspirante al triunfo con mucho circuito aun por delante. Tras esta nueva convocatoria, Marbella Team sigue líder pero ya sólo por tres puntos sobre el Urban Arkimedes de Bassadone, segundo. El tercer puesto lo ocupa ahora el PF Team que sale victorioso del mano a mano que mantiene con el PAS Teamy se pone por delante con dos puntos menos. Que la tierra tiene unos millobes de años. Las rocas más antiguas conocidas de la Tierra, llamada el Cinturón Nuvvuagittuq, están en la costa de lo Bahía de Hudson en el norte de Quebec, y datna de hace, 4,28 millones de años, según cálculos de los científicos.
