Arranca un curso de nuevos proyectos en Sotogrande La urbanización emprende la ‘vuelta al cole’ con numerosas actividades y propuestas en agenda, a nivel de promociones y proyectos, que pretenden estar a punto antes del inicio de la próxima temporada turística en la zona. Con el inicio del nuevo curso vamos a ponernos un poco, pero sólo un poco [lo prometemos], algo filosóficos y reflexivos. En esta edición podemos presumir de contar con dos entrevistas de nivel; por un lado, el querido amigo Jesús Herrera que nos ilustra un poco más sobre las bondades y atractivos que un destino como Sotogrande tiene para el sector de la arquitectura. Todas las posibilidades, la preciosa variedad de estilos que encontramos en la urbanización y la importante conjunción y fusión del diseño y el medio, el entorno, nuestro paisaje. “Dialogar” lo catalogó el bueno de Jesús. Sin duda, un ejemplo más del extraordinario elenco de profesionales en ese sector de los que disfruta la zona; se pueden añadir nombres como McLundie, Benjumea, Herrera o el estudio ARK (entre otros muchos, pasados y presentes, que dan lustre a las ca-

sas de Sotogrande). En el otro lado del escenario, encontramos a todo un personaje, una irrupción del momento con un mensaje que invita al positivismo, a la ilusión y la pasión por lo que hacemos cada día. Víctor Küpper, uno de los mayores expertos en psicología positiva y coach del momento [saltó al estrellato de forma inagotable en los últimos meses a través de las Redes Sociales], nos invita una vez más a sentir y disfrutar con lo que hacemos. Nos anima a pensar que “nunca es tarde” para dedicarnos a aquello que nos gusta y que siempre estamos a tiempo de emprender un nuevo camino. Que la vida, con el vaso medio lleno siempre es mejor, y que debemos dejar un mejor mundo a las generaciones posteriores. Disfruten de esas líneas, son toda una inyección para encarar el nuevo curso.

En definitiva, con estos ejemplos, se trata de sintetizar que todas aquellas empresas, objetivos y retos deben plantearse como un desafío de forma positiva, una motivación suplementaria para alcanzar un fin mayor o mejor para el resto de cosas que rodean la vida de una persona. “Ser la mejor persona que puedas”, viene a resumir Küpper, convencido de que si luchamos por eso, todo el universo a nuestro alrededor será mejor aún. Uno de los pilares básicos para ello son la educación y la formación. Arranca un nuevo curso, sin formación no hay futuro y sin educación y valores no hay una sociedad sana. ¡Ánimo a los escolares! Que por cierto, tienen la suerte de disfrutar de un destino que reúne en pocos kilómetros algunos de los mejores centros escolares de todo el país. Que tengan buen curso y piensen en positivo.

He encourages us to think that “it is never too late” to devote ourselves to what we like and that we always have time to go down a new path. Brillantes exportadores de riqueza Esta edición de septiembre entra en imprenta con la inminente actualidad de la presentación oficial del Andalucía Valderrama Masters 2018 de Golf, un evento de altura que un año más llevará la imagen de Sotogrande hasta una audiencia potencial superior a los 400 mi1 José Luis García llones de telespectadores Editor/Director en todo el mundo. Todo jlgarcia@grupohcp.com ello sin contar los números más grandilocuentes como los más de 50.000 espectadores que se esperan durante la semana del evento o el importante impacto económico que tiene para la zona (ese dato se suele reservar un poco más). Cifras astronómicas como éstas las hay para dar y regalar; sólo basta con escuchar la rueda de prensa para oírlas en palabras de todos los asistentes. Pero la cuestión es la siguiente, de todos esos números tan importantes y de esa generación de riqueza, algo efímera pero muy productiva, ¿cuánto se queda en la zona y cuánto se escapa de nuestro entorno más inmediato? Por ahí pasa cierta clave de todo este asunto de romper con la estacionalidad del destino.

Valderrama es desde hace tres décadas uno de los motores de generación de contenido y de eventos de golf de nivel internacional más importantes en toda Andalucía y por supuesto, a escala nacional. Con entidades reconocidas en casi todo el mundo y con instalaciones que son la envidia de la porción restante. Pero el planteamiento que me asalta y del que me cuesta olvidarme es el siguiente: ¿toda esa productividad repercute en un porcentaje tan importante como creemos en la zona o se escapa a otros puntos? Es obvio que la zona no dispone de una importante oferta en el sector hotelero, con un cuantioso número de camas disponibles al más alto nivel, lo que lleva a la consecuencia de que no son pocos los casos que ante situaciones así, el visitante, prefiere pernoctar en puntos relativamente cercanos a la urbanización, en casi todas las ocasiones en la provincia vecina. Por lo cual, encontramos una fuga de agua importante en ese sentido que hace con un importante gasto generado y atraído en el seno de la urbanización busque acomodo en negocios y bolsillos a varios

kilómetros de distancia. Ya es hora, y una demanda a exigir en la zona, que se activen todos esos planes y promociones que llevamos años escuchando sobre la ampliación de la oferta hotelera en Sotogrande, preferiblemente, con una propuesta de gran lujo y al nivel que precisa el contexto de la urbanización. Hay que ser más listos y fomentar más la actividad comercial local, ocupando los mayores segmentos de negocio posibles para traducir todos esos esfuerzos que los promotores de eventos y actividades en la zona se traduzcan en un enriquecimiento del destino. Dejar que se vaya a lugares vecinos son malgastar esfuerzos para encontrar mucha menos recompensa de la esperada. Suerte, por otro lado, que a muy cerca contemos con esas plazas de alto nivel pero es primordial para el desarrollo de esta zona contar ese segmento hotelero cinco estrellas/gran lujo si queremos seguir creciendo bajo esa vitola de Sotogrande, estilo único de vida. Una carencia que buenamente se ha paliado hasta ahora con el exquisito turismo residencial que se disfruta en la urbanización pero que hoy ya no es suficiente. Entre tanto vuelve el cole, encaramos un nuevo curso con ilusiones y ganas renovadas, buscando las mejores innovaciones y alicientes para seguir atrayendo tu interés en nuestros medios, con la garantía y calidad que precisas como lector. But the question that comes to mind and that I have a hard time forgetting is as follows: Does all that productivity have an impact on as important a percentage as we believe in the zone or does it escape to other points? It is obvious that the area does not have a significant range in the hotel sector, with a large number of beds available at the highest level, which consequently means that there are a number of cases where faced with such a situation, visitors prefer to stay overnight in areas relatively close to the resort, almost always in the neighbouring province. Thus, there a significant leak in that regard which means that a significant spending force generated in the heart of the resort seeks comfort in businesses and pockets several kilometres away. It is about time to demand that all the plans and developments we have spent years hearing about to be activated in order to extend the range of hotels in Sotogrande, preferably, with a grand luxury and befitting proposal required by the

context of the resort. It is necessary to be smarter and further encourage local business activity, occupying the largest possible business segments in order to ensure that all the efforts of the organisers of events and activities in the area result in enrichment of the destination. Letting people go to neighbouring areas means wasting efforts to obtain much less reward than expected. Luck, on the other hand, that very close to these high-level places but it is essential for the development of this area to have five star hotel segment / great luxury if we want to continue growing under that vitola Sotogrande, unique style of life. El turismo crece en Andalucía por encima de la media nacional Los establecimientos suman casi nueve millones de pernoctaciones con un alza cercano al 1% respecto al ejercicio anterior 1 Manuel Gil

Positivos datos de la evolución en los establecimientos reglados andaluces, que registraron un incremento tanto en los viajeros alojados como las pernoctaciones, frente al descenso anotado en el conjunto nacional. En este sentido, viajeros y estancias registraron sendos aumentos del 1,3% y 0,9% en la región, creciendo en todas las modalidades de oferta alojativa. Este volumen de pernoctaciones, cuyo incremento se ha visto especialmente impulsado por el buen comportamiento del turismo nacional, es el mayor registrado hasta la fecha en la comunidad, teniendo además un importante reflejo en el número de personas empleadas en dichos establecimientos, que crece un 3% en el mes hasta alcanzar los 56.129 trabajadores. Especialmente destacable resulta el dato andaluz en la comparativa con las principales regiones turísticas del país, ya que Andalucía ha sido la única región -junto con la Comunidad de Madrid- donde el saldo de pernoctaciones en el conjunto de establecimientos se situó en valores positivos, siendo, además, la única del litoral (entre

las principales) que consiguió superar las cifras anotadas en el año anterior. El crecimiento se ha producido en toda la tipología de oferta que recoge el Instituto Nacional de Estadística, tato en establecimientos hoteleros, donde aumentaron las estancias en el mes un 0,2%, como en apartamentos turísticos (+2%),

albergues (+56%), alojamientos de turismo rural (+12%) y campamentos de turismo (+2%). Con ello, la oferta extrahotelera andaluza roza los 2,4 millones de pernoctaciones registradas en julio, y un aumento medio del 2,8%, en contraposición con la caída experimentada en el territorio nacional donde estas mis-

mas estancias se redujeron algo más de cuatro puntos debido al freno mostrado por los mercados español y extranjero. Emisores, ambos, que sí consigue mantener en aumento Andalucía, con una tasa intermensual al alza del +3,5% y +2,1%, respectivamente. Se trata de un nuevo dato positivo que se suma a los contabili-

zados desde principios de año, situando el acumulado andaluz de los siete primeros meses en un total de 38,7 millones de estancias registradas en el global de oferta reglada, un 0,7% más que en el mismo periodo del año anterior, y el mejor resultado logrado por la oferta alojativa regional en toda la serie histórica.

El relevo de una narcolancha en el Puerto de Sotogrande reactiva las denuncias del SUP

2 La actividad del narcotráfico no descansa, menos en verano y ya tampoco espera a que se apague la luz del día. A pleno vista, junto al contradique frente a la playa de Sotogrnade (tal y como muestran las imágenes), se aprecia el relevo de una narcolancha que se llevó a cabo “con total tranquilidad, descaro e impunidad”, según denunció ante estas imágenes el Sindicato Unificado de Policías (SUP), en su sección gaditana. Los hechos, grabados por una persona testigo que presenciaba los acontecimientos, ocurrieron frente a la playa de Sotogrande el pasado sábado (1 de septiembre).

El Sindicato Unificado de Policía denunció estos hechos en sus diferentes canales de comunicación y Redes Sociales, reactivando así sus reclamaciones y protestas, para contar con más medios y efectivos en el Campo de Gibraltar. “Haciendo un tranquilo relevo con total e impunidad. Soluciones Campo de Gibraltar ya. Plan Especial de Seguridad ya!; publicaba en sus diferentes altavoces. “El éxito es luchar para ser la mejor persona que puedas llegar a ser”

Muy buenas, encantado de tener esta charla. ¿Qué bien debe sentirse uno ayudando a los demás y haciéndolos pensar, cierto? El placer es mío Manuel ¡Sólo faltaría! Si, la verdad es q me apasiona mi trabajo. Pero piensa que a quien más ayuda es a mi, escucharme cada día explicar los rollos de ser positivo, alegre, de tener ilusión, etc., hace que se te meta en el cerebro. Lo que no me gusta de mi trabajo es que a veces me dan un mérito que no tengo, yo solo explico cosas que son básicas, que todos sabemos pero que necesitamos recordar porque en el día a día vamos como pollos sin cabeza y olvidamos lo que es importante. ¿Bondad, ilusión y alegría son las claves del éxito? Son algunas de las claves, sin duda! En una sociedad cada vez más inhumana en la que parece que mandan la avaricia, el egoísmo, la injusticia y la codicia necesitamos más que nunca personas buenas, personas con principios y valores. Necesitamos humanizar la humanidad. ¿Qué es el éxito? ¡Esa es una pregunta para un experto! Que difícil. Mira, para mi el éxito es descubrir cuál es el sentido de tu vida y tirarte de cabeza cada día para intentar estar a la altura. El éxito es saber que luchas para ser la

mejor persona que puedes llegar a ser, el mejor padre, la mejor pareja, el mejor profesional o el mejor amigo. Enfocar tu vida en ayudar a los demás y que te quieran las personas que más te importan. ¿Qué significa V=(C+H)xA? Las ciencias nunca fueron lo mío… Lo mío tampoco, yo tiro más bien a corto [ríe]. Pero la fórmula representa el valor de una persona. Los conocimientos y las habilidades son importantes, suman, pero la clave está en la actitud, por eso multiplica. La diferencia entre el crack y el chisquero está en su actitud. Las personas son grandes no por sus estudios o por su nivel de inglés, lo son por su manera de ser. El toque de humor en sus conferencias es una de sus “armas” más persuasivas, ¿también debe serlo en la vida? Bueno, es mi manera de ser, en las conferencias me expreso igual que en mi casa, ¿quizás es demasiado espontáneo e informal no? Hablar de melones, merluzos o tontolabas chica en algunos foros. Pero yo admiro la filosofa de Rojas Marcos. El sentido del humor no está valorado como se merece. En este país si alguien tiene sentido del humor o se ríe enseguida le cuelgan la etiqueta de superficial. Y aquel que es serio, mustio, rancio, ese si, ése

es un profesional como la copa de un pino. Hay q ser muy merluzo para pensar así. Es compatible ser buen profesional y tener sentido del humor. Nos gusta a todos tener compañeros de trabajo alegres, tener amigos alegres o llegar a casa y encontrarnos una oreja alegre, no una bruja que grita. Bueno, o un brujo, cada uno lo que se encuentre. ¿Es cierto que la vida es muy simple y nosotros la complicamos? Si, si. Nos la complicamos y dejamos que nos la compliquen. En la vida hay cuatro cosas importantes, el resto es todo superficial y superfluo. Pero por desgracia, en nuestra vida nos damos cuenta de lo que es importante, muchas veces, cuando es tarde. Hay que vivir sabiendo muy bien lo que es importante. Eso es lo que hacen los listos. ¿El optimismo es innato o se puede aprender? No se, diría que las dos cosas. Los expertos dicen que en nuestra manera de ser hay un componente genético, un segundo factor que son las circunstancias que cada uno tiene en su vida y un tercer factor que es lo que cada uno de nosotros hace. Aquí es donde influimos nosotros. Por eso cada uno es como quiere ser. La genética condiciona pero no determina.

Nuestra juventud peca un poco de frustración, ¿cómo motivarla? ¡Ups! Es una pregunta que necesitaría una respuesta muy larga. Pero esencialmente diría que hay de todo. Los hay vagos, los hay que lo han tenido todo muy fácil, los hay que no han tenido oportunidades y los hay que tienen mucha prisa y quieren correr demasiado. Pero también los hay que no se conforman con el mundo de mierda que les hemos dejado y lo quieren mejorar. Que son más solidarios, más ecológicos, menos materialistas y consumistas. Yo confío en ellos. ¿Parece que hemos renunciado, de base, a dedicarnos a aquello que nos apasiona? ¿Cuándo es tarde y en qué momento aún estamos a tiempo de disfrutar con lo que hacemos? Será tarde cuando palmes. Hasta entonces siempre estas a tiempo. Renunciamos a veces porque no somos valientes o porque la sociedad nos vende otro modelo de éxito. Por eso hay tantas personas que viven tristes, frustradas y amargadas. ¿De qué manera nos afectan las Redes Sociales a nuestras vidas? Yo soy alérgico a ellas. Fomentan la vanidad y el narcisismo, son un peligro para el ego. Se centra en lo más superficial, banal y artificial de las personas.

¿Tiene solución el ser humano? Algunos no tienen solución, para que nos vamos a engañar. ¿Cómo ha logrado convencerse de todo esto? Obsesionándome con leer a todos los expertos en psicología positiva. Yo quería ser alegre y disfrutar de todo. No lo he conseguido pero al menos he descubierto cuál es el buen camino. ¿Qué es lo más extraño que le han preguntado? Una vez me preguntaron si mi nombre era real o artístico. Pero hubo una peor. Me preguntaron si creía que Messi era el mejor de la historia. Mira que hay preguntas tontas, ¿no? Es como preguntar si la tierra es redonda. Hay mucho tarado suelto por ahí [ríe]. ¿Conoce Sotogrande? Por nuestra parte está invitadísimo… Si, si. Estuve dos veces. Siempre que vengo a Cádiz salgo chutado para un mes. Yo quise hacer mi doctorado sobre “que tienen los de Cádiz para ser tan alegres”, porque no es por el clima porque en otros lugares que hace sol no son así y tampoco es porque económicamente todo vaya bien. No se qué es, pero no logré convencer a mi director de tesis, le parecía un tema poco serio. ¡Que melón!

Hello, delighted to be talking to you. You must feel really good helping others and making them think, right? It is a pleasure for me Manuel of course! Yes, the truth is that I love my work. But I think that the person it most helps is me, listening to myself everyday explaining the vibe of being positive, joyful, having enthusiasm, etc., that really gets that into your head. What I don´t like about my work is that sometimes I get praise that I don´t deserve, I only explain things that are basic, that we all know but that we need to remember because in our daily lives we are like headless chickens and forget what is important. Are kindness, enthusiasm and joy the keys to success? Those are definitely some of the keys! In an increasingly inhumane society in which greed, egoism, injustice and covetousness rule, more than ever we need good people, people with principles and values. We need to humanise humanity. What is success? That is a question for an expert! Really difficult. Look, for me success is discovering what the meaning of your life is and using your head every day to try to live up to that. Success is knowing that you are fighting to be the best person that you can become, the best parent, the best partner, the best professional or the best friend. Focussing your life on helping others and getting love from the people who matter most to you. What does V = A x (K + S) mean? Science was never my strong point... Me neither, I fall short (laughs). But the formula represents the value of a person. Knowledge and skills are important, they contribute, but the key is in attitude, that is why it multiplies. The difference between the big star and the little guy is attitude. People are great not because of their studies or level of English, they are because of their character.

The touch of humour in your talks is one of your most persuasive weapons, should that also be the case in life? Well, that is my personality, in the talks I express myself the same way I do at home, maybe it is too spontaneous and informal no? Talking about twits, silly or stupid people at some forums. But I admire the philosophy of Rojas Marcos. Sense of humour does not get the recognition it deserves. In this country if someone has a sense of humour or laughs immediately, they get labelled superficial. And those who are serious, gloomy, old-fashioned, they are a true professional. You have to be really silly to think like that. Being a good professional and having a sense of humour are compatible. We all like to have cheerful colleagues, have cheerful friends or come home and find someone cheerful to talk to, not a shouting witch. Well, or a sorcerer, depending on what each person finds. Is it true that life is very simple and that we complicate it? Yes, yes. We complicate it and allow it to be complicated. In life there are four important things, the rest is all superficial and

superfluous. But, unfortunately, in life we often realise what is important when it is too late. You have to live being very well aware of what is important. That is what smart people do. Is optimism innate or can it be learned? I don´t know, I would say both. Experts says that there is a genetic component to our personality, a second factor are the circumstances that everyone has in their life and a third factor is what each of us does. That is where we have an influence. That is why each person is the way they want to be. Genetics condition but do not determine. Our young people are a little frustrated, how can be motivate them? Oops! That is a question that would require a very long response. But essentially, I would say there are all types. There are lazy ones, those who have had everything very easy for them, there are those who have not had opportunities, and there are those in a real hurry who want to run too fast. But there are also those who are not content with the shit world we have left for them and want to improve it.

They are more charitable, more environmentally friendly, less materialistic and consumerist. I believe in them. It seems like, from the outset, we give up on doing what we love? When is it too late and at what point do we still have time to enjoy what we do? It will be too late when you die. Until then there is always time. We sometimes give up because we are not brave or because society sells us another model of success. That is why there are so many people who live sad, frustrated and bitter lives. How do Social Networks affect our lives? I am allergic to them. They encourage vanity and narcissism; they are dangerous for the ego. They focus on the most superficial, banal and artificial aspect of people. Do humans have a solution? Some don´t have a solution, let´s not fool ourselves. How have you managed to convince yourself of all this? By being obsessed with reading all the experts on positive psychology. I wanted to be happy

and enjoy everything. I have not achieved it, but at least I have discovered what the right path is. What is the strangest thing you have been asked? I was once asked if my name was real or stage name. But there was a worse one. I was asked if Messi was the best player of all-time. Look, what stupid questions, no? It is like asking if the earth is round. There are lots of dumb people out there (laughs). Do you know Sotogrande? You are of course invited by us... Yes, yes. I have been twice. Whenever I go to Cadiz I leave feeling really positive for a month. I wanted to do my doctorate on “what do the people of Cadiz have that makes them so cheerful”, because it isn´t the climate because they aren´t like that in other places with sun, and nor is it because things are great financially. I don´t know what it is, but I couldn´t manage to convince my thesis supervisor, he thought it wasn´t a serious subject. What a silly person! Many thanks, a pleasure. Peligros presupuestarios

Ante un horizonte económico que se complica, nuestros gobernantes preparan un mayor castigo a los contribuyentes. Esto será independiente de los avatares de la propia Ley de Presupuestos para 2019. Esta Ley puede aprobarse, con lo cual subirán el déficit, la deuda, y los impuestos; o puede no aprobarse. En este último caso, al mantenerse una senda de déficit algo más estricta, el Gobierno “se verá forzado a subir los impuestos”, como dicen los medios de comunicación, dando por sentado lo que deberían demostrar. En efecto, los gobiernos nunca suben los impuestos a la fuerza, sino porque les conviene, o porque les resulta electoralmente menos costoso que la otra alternativa: bajar el gasto público. El truco, de todas maneras, ha sido utilizado por las autori-

dades para chantajear a PP y Ciudadanos, para que no bloqueen la aprobación de los Presupuestos, y, en caso de que lo hagan, poder acusarlos de ser ellos los culpables de que suban los impuestos. Todo este juego de engaños y simulacros es habitual en política. Lo grave en este caso es que la subida de impuestos, que siempre es mala, es hoy particularmente nociva, porque la economía española puede haber entrado en una fase de desaceleración. Los datos del desempleo así lo sugieren, y otros indicadores parecen ratificarlo. No hay campo más fértil para la demagogia que los impuestos. Lo hemos visto en estas semanas y lo seguiremos viendo. Entre cánticos a la “justicia fiscal”, el objetivo de las autoridades será aumentar la presión fiscal y contener la resistencia popular. Para ello

se emplearán recursos propagandísticos para desorientar al contribuyente: bajar el IVA en algunos casos, para tapar la subida de los “impuestos verdes”, hablar mucho de Tobin y el “impuesto a las transacciones financieras”, que pagará el pueblo, como siempre, e insistir en la ficción de que el mayor gasto público será disfrutado por la gente, pero lo pagarán solamente los “ricos” y las grandes empresas, como si hostigarlos no incidiera en pérdidas del bienestar de los trabajadores. Y así, mientras el Gobierno ataca a la Iglesia, exhuma los restos de Franco, y hace cualquier cosa para desviar la atención, la verdad es que se prepara una peligrosa estrategia para la economía y el empleo: subir los impuestos a millones de ciudadanos.

The serious thing in this case is that the increase in taxes, which is always bad, is now particularly harmful, because the Spanish economy may have entered a phase of slowing down. The unemployment data suggests this, and other indicators may ratify it. There is no more fertile ground for demagogy than taxes. We have seen it in recent weeks and we will continue to see it. Among odes to “fiscal justice”, the objective of the authorities will be to increase tax pressure and contain

the resistance of the people. To achieve that, propaganda resources will be used in order to disorient tax payers: lowering VAT in some cases, in order to cover up the increase in “green taxes”, talking about Tobin a lot and the “tax on financial transaction”, which the people will pay, as always, and insist on the fiction that most public spending will be enjoyed by the people, but will only be paid by the “rich” and big companies, as if harrying them would not lead to the losses of wellbeing of workers. And thus, while the Government attacks the Church, exhumes the remains of Franco, and does anything to divert attention, the truth is that a dangerous strategy is being prepared for the economy and employment: increasing taxes for millions of citizens.

Informe La comunidad del Valle del Guadiaro inicia el curso con más de 2.550 escolares • • • •

El nuevo curso 2018-2019 arranca con más de 2.300 alumnos inscritos en los diferentes centros locales. El Colegio Internacional de Sotogrande roza el millar de alumnos al crecer un 10% respecto al curso pasado. Los escolares del Valle del Guadiaro y su área de influencia se dividen casi al mismo número entre privados y públicos. A pocos kilómetros de Sotogrande se sitúan varios de los mejores centros del país, dos de ellos, en el ‘Top 100’ nacional.

El inicio de un nuevo curso supone siempre una oportunidad de empezar de nuevo. Por un lado la cara triste, la recuperación de la monotonía, la rutina y las caras largas de los más pequeños de la casa por volver a las clases y el regreso a las aulas. Sensaciones y sentimientos en contraprestación, por la jovialidad, alegría y efusividad de saludos y abrazos, tras un verano (libertino para unos y de refuerzo y particulares para otros); que nunca sabe a suficiente. Y la vuelta al cole en el Valle del Guadiaro y Sotogrande también es sinónimo de calidad. Calidad y alto nivel por contar, en unos pocos kilómetros, prácticamente a tiro de piedra, con varios de los centros educativos de referencia en toda la región e incluso a nivel nacional e internacional. Todo un lujo y atractivo fortalecedor a la hora de exportar un destino residencial del más alto nivel de calidad. El curso escolar 2018-2019 arranca en el Valle del Guadiaro (y su área de influencia) con un incremento sustancial en la cuota de integrantes en su comunidad escolar. En números estimados (hasta que no comience a rodar el curso plenamente e incluso ya

en marcha estas cifras pueden variar), la comunidad escolar local se sitúa este año en unos 2.557 alumnos (aprox.) en total, una cifra que crece considerablemente respecto a registros anteriores en los que se situaba en 2.440 (en 2017), 2.183 alumnos (en 2016) o la doble unidad de millar, a secas,

en 2015. Comunidad escolar local Como es tradición, el Colegio Internacional de Sotogrande (SIS) lidera el número de estudiantes inscritos para este curso en la zona, un año más, además de

ser el más tempranero en iniciar su calendario escolar (lo hizo el pasado 5 de septiembre; pueden consultar todas las imágenes en la página web del periódico). Este año afronta el curso rozando el millar de alumnos en sus aulas (concretamente 990), lo que supone un nuevo incremento respecto

al curso pasado (unos 900) de casi un 10%; cifra que consolida la imparable inercia en crecimiento y desarrollo del centro que ya acumula bastantes años en subida y que se mantiene con el reconocimiento de estar entre los mejores centros del país, avalado por el prestigioso estudio que cada año publica el diario El Mundo. Respecto al volumen de multiculturalidad en su aulas, destaca que el 70% de los mismos sean de origen extranjero, haciendo muy rica su comunidad culturalmente. Hasta un total de 44 nacionalidades conviven entre sus clases; siendo la predominante la española seguida de la británica. Destacar, además de las más habituales, procedencias tan exóticas como Botswana, Arabia Saudí, Egipto, Santo Domingo o Malasia. Entre las novedades y credenciales que presenta el centro destacan su piscina cubierta, el programa de ‘A-Levels’, un nuevo campo de baloncesto, instalaciones renovadas de ‘Boarding’, acogiendo a más de 80 ‘boarders’, estudiantes que cursan el calendario como residentes del internado (de lunes a viernes, pasando los fines de semana con sus

respectivas familias). Destacar también, como mayor novedad del año, la llegada e incorporación a la organización del Colegio del importante grupo internacional Inspired, algo que enrique y amplía aún más las posibilidades y opciones internacionales de sus alumnos. Por último, detacar el programa ACES que fomenta e impulsa la combinación de deportistas de alto nivel con la formación académica. Realizar un inciso también, en marcha desde el principios del mes de septiembre, el nuevo curso para las guarderías y centros de primera edad. Los puntos municipales de Campanilla (San Enrique), con 35 plazas, y de Puente de Hierro en Pueblo Nuevo, con 41 plazas, habría que sumarle un cifra cercana al centenar que se reparte entre las diferentes guar-

derías privadas de la urbanización y todo el Valle del Guadiaro. Recuperando el hilo académico, tras el internacional sotograndino se situaría el CEIP Gloria Fuertes (repartido en zonas de Infantil y Primaria en Guadiaro y Pueblo Nuevo, respectivamente). En total acumula hasta el momento un total de 574 alumnos inscritos, lo que supone un notable crecimiento también respecto a los 491 (en 2016) y casi igual al curso pasado. Se reparten entre 170 alumnos en Educación Infantil, mientras que en Educación Primaria concurrirán este curso un total de 390 escolares. Sin duda, uno de los centros de mayor demanda en la zona y que compagina numerosas actividades extraescolares en sus instalaciones durante todo el curso. Destaca también la renovación

del equipo directivo este curso y el alto número de nuevas matriculaciones. Mencionar, en el siguiente apartado, al CEIP Barbésula en San Enrique de Guadiaro. Este año alcanza los 143 alumnos inscritos (aprox.), lo que sitúa al centro en unas cifras parecidas a cursos anteriores. Para cerrar el capítulo local, el último en iniciar el curso (este viernes 15 de septiembre, el resto lo hicieron el pasado lunes, 12) se sitúa el IES Sierra Almenara (en Pueblo Nuevo). El centro, que ya sólo cuenta con niveles de secundaria, cifra en 280 (aprox.) el número de matriculados para este curso, una cifra muy cercana a la que ya presentó el pasado curso Alumnos que estudian fuera del distrito Un amplio número de residentes de la urbanización y todo el Valle del Guadiaro eligen matricularse en centros vecinos y colegios cercanos. Tal es el caso de prácticamente un número cercano al medio millar, en muchos casos, buscando una diferenciación educativa a la propuesta de la zona. Tal es el caso del Colegio San José, en Estepona. Este centro, que año tras años continúa consolidado entre los 100 mejores

del país, recibe diariamente a más de un centenar de estudiantes procedentes de Sotogrande. En su mayoría de procedencia española aunque las nacionalidades británicas y rusas le siguen muy de cerca. También conviven en el centro procedencias como la belga, italiana, holandesa o francesa, entre muchas otras hasta alcanzar la cifra de 16 países. Su bachillerato internacional y las impresionantes infraestructuras y oferta educativa, convierten al San José en uno de los colegios más demandados de toda la Costa del sol. Los centros algecireños de Montecalpe y Puertoblanco son también dos de los destinos más demandados por la comunidad escolar local. Más de un centenar

de estudiantes se desplazan cada día hasta estos dos colegios, divididos por sexos, para cursos sus estudios. Caso similar ocurre con las ofertas educativas en Gibraltar, centros como Loreto o Prior albergan a casi medio centenar de estudiantes de la zona. Algo más voluminosa es la cifra de los escolares del Valle del Guadiaro, estudiantes de bachillerato, que pasan a San Roque Casco a cursar sus estudios, aproximadamente unos 150. En resumen, el Valle del Guadiaro y Sotogrande conforman una amplia comunidad educativa, cercana a la del cualquier municipio medio de la provincia en el que destaca su alto nivel educativo como atractivo y modelo de referencia cara al exterior.

Community of Valle del Guadiaro begins year with more than 2,550 pupils • The new 2018-2019 year begins with more than 2,300 pupils enrolled in the different local schools. • Sotogrande International School has close to one thousand pupils, growing by 10% in relation to last year. • The school pupils in Valle del Guadiaro and its area of influence are divided almost equally between students in private and public schools. • Within a few kilometres in Sotogrande are several of the best schools in the country, and two of them stand out among the national “Top 100”.

The start of a new year is always an opportunity to start again. On one hand, there is the sad side, the return to monotony, routine and the long faces of the little ones at home as they return to classes and the classroom. These feeling are countered by the joviality, joy and effusiveness of greetings and hugs, after a summer (free for some and used for revision and private classes by others) that never seems long enough. And

the return to school in Valle del Guadiaro and Sotogrande is also synonymous with quality. Quality and a high level, as within a few kilometres, practically within a stone´s throw it has several of the leading schools in the entire region, and even nationally and internationally. It is a real luxury and strengthening appeal when it comes to exporting a residential destination of the highest level of quality.

The 2018-2019 school year is beginning in Valle del Guadiaro (and its area of influence) with a substantial increase in the number of members of its school community. In terms of estimated numbers (until the school years gets fully underway and even when it has begun, these figures can vary), this year the local school community has a total of 2,557 pupils (approx.), a figure that has grown considerably in relation to previ-

ous figures which had 2,440 pupils (2017) and 2,183 pupils (2016) or exactly two thousand, in 2015. Local school community As is tradition, Sotogrande International School (SIS) leads the rankings for the number of students enrolled for this year in the area, once again this year, despite being the earliest to start the school year (classes resumed on

5 September; you can see all the images on the newspaper´s website). This year it is heading into the school term with close to one thousand pupils in its classrooms, which is a new increase in relation to last year (900) of almost 10%; the figure consolidates the unstoppable momentum in the school´s growth and development that has now been on the rise for a number of years and it has maintained the distinction of featuring among the one hundred best schools in the country, endorsed by the prestigious yearly study published by El Mundo newspaper. With regard to the level of multiculturalism in its classroom, what stands out is that 70% of pupils are from abroad, which makes the community very rich in terms of culture. A total of 44 nationalities coexist in its classes; with Spanish the most common nationality, followed by the British. In addition to the more common nationalities, it is also worth highlighting more exotic locations such as Botswana, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Santo Domingo and Malaysia. is also worth highlighting, as the big development of the year, the arrival and incorporation into the School´s organisation of the important international group Inspired, which enriches and further broadens the international possibilities and options for its pupils. Lastly, it is worth highlighting the ACES program which encourages and boosts the combination of high-level sportspeople with academic education. As an aside, since the start of September there has also been a new year for nurseries and pre-school centres. There are the municipal centres of Campanilla (San Enrique), with 35 spaces, and Puente de Hierro in Pueblo Nuevo, with 41 places, additionally there are close to one hundred places split between the different private nurseries in the resort and all around Valle del Guadiaro. Getting back to academic matters, after Sotogrande International School comes CEIP Gloria Fuertes (divided into Pre-school and Primary in Guadiaro and Pueblo Nuevo, respectively). In total, until now it has a total of 574 pupils enrolled, which is a significant increase on the 491 (in 2016) and almost equal to last year. There are 170 in pupils in Pre-school Education, while in Primary Education there will be a total of 390 pupils this year. This is undoubtedly one of the most sought-after schools in the area and it combines several extra-curricular activities at its facilities throughout the entire year. It is also worth highlight the turnover in the management team this year and the high number of new enrolments. Next comes CEIP Barbésula in San Enrique de Guadiaro.. This year it has 143 pupils enrolled (approx.), which is a similar figure to previous years. To close out the local chapter, the last school to resume classes (this Friday on 15 September, the others did so on Monday 12) is IES Sierra Almenara (in Pueblo Nuevo). la urbanización para comprobar su grado de satisfacción o disidencia sobre los servicios y diferentes propuestas llevadas a cabo en diferentes sectores a lo

largo de la temporada estival en el destino Sotogrande y todo el área de influencia del Valle del Guadiaro. Como siempre, las playas, el de-

porte y las actividades sociales y culturales se llevan el protagonismo con una nota muy alta por parte del veraneante. Como siempre, se demanda una ma-

yor calidad de servicios pero en general, se aprueba con nota alta la campaña veraniega, un año más, en al destino turístico-residencial.

the resort in order to ascertain their level of satisfaction or dis-satisfaction with the services and different initiatives carried out in different sectors

throughout the summer season in Sotogrande and the entire area of influence of Valle del Guadiaro. As always, the beaches, sport,

and social and cultural activities play a starring role with a very high mark from holidaymakers. As always, there is a demand for a higher quality

Sí que veo algunos menos puestos también en el polo y más restauración, quizá los alquileres son un poco altos. Estuvimos también en el concierto de Modestia Aparte y Nacha Pop, que estuvo bastante bien.”

Hoy, tu problema tiene Mediación Lo conflictos destructivos se graban en tus genes Hoy sabemos que una forma negativa de responder a la vida precipita la enfermedad y queda reflejada en tu epigenética. Sólo cuándo comprendemos auténticamente las necesidades del otro, podemos negociar más eficazmente para defender las nuestras propias.

La plaza de nueva construcción recibirá el nombre de Plaza Collado Tirado, denominación que fue aprobada en el Pleno Ordinario del pasado mes de julio, y que se realiza en recuerdo de una

familia muy apreciada en Guadiaro que habitaba una vivienda en esa zona y que era propietaria de un negocio de hostelería. “Se trata de una zona especial porque aquí se crearon las Bodegas Collado, un rincón con mucha historia por lo que cuando las obras estén finalizadas y se dote a la zona del mobiliario urbano y la iluminación, se creará un lugar de encuentro para mayores y jóvenes de la barriada”, indicó Marchena.

No ha sido mal día. Era temprano, algo antes de las tres, esa hora extraña en que solo tienes conciencia de la respiración de al lado y de lo que escuchas en la radio. La respiración, como casi siempre, tranquila y sosegada. La radio me ha permitido conocer a un cantor del que les hablaré. Me ha gustado porque se parece a los míos: voz algo quebrada de Johnny Cash o de Ray Charles y melodías que me recuerdan mucho al country de Willie Nelson y al folk de Woody Guthrie. Se llama Juan Zelada. En música, me quedé anclado hace años. Los cantantes actuales me dicen poco; es más, no sé cómo cantan la mayoría. Conozco algunos nombres, Sakira, Bisbal, Bosé,...pero no sé identificar ninguna de las cosas que cantan. Estos son “cantantes”; los míos son cantores. Bueno, que me enrollo. El caso es que temprano por la mañana he tenido un pequeño calentón por teléfono, que más tarde ha quedado resuelto.

Luego me he dedicado a hacer gestiones, recaditos. He estado en dos oficinas de correos y charlado con las chicas del mostrador, con las que me llevo muy bien. La joven, la de Guadiaro, es nueva pero muy simpática y eficaz. La del Puerto es algo más mayor y me habla de sus hijos, ya adultos, y de su sobrino, aún estudiante. De lo que hacen aquellos y de lo que espera de este. Recordarán lo que les conté hace días de ella, de Carmen la Cartera; ella es. En la de Guadiaro, he mandado un traje y unos zapatos a mi chaval Javi Chicheri, que vive en Tenerife, para una boda que tiene en Bangkok ¡Nada menos que en Bangkok! Si coincide con alguna fecha de su santo o cumple, aunque sea aproximada, meses antes o después, igual le mando el billete de avión. En la del Puerto, unos envíos menores para Alejandra, mi nieta, que es como si fuera mi hija. Luego he estado en el notario. Ya no es mi querido amigo Antonio Camarena, que se

fue al cielo hace un par de años, pero veo a sus antiguas “oficialas”, todas guapas y simpáticas, y me acuerdo de él. Ah, y salí contento porque es la vez que menos he pagado por una firma notarial (bueno, eran dos): 6,30 euros. ¿Se imaginan pasar por un notario y pagar solo 6,30 euros? Esta gestión era para mí querida hija-nieta Alejandra. De ella he hablado un rato a la de correos, la que me habla de los suyos. Yo recuerdo que cuando era nieto e hijo hacía gestiones para mi abuelo o padre. Y hoy, que soy padre y abuelo, hago gestiones para hijo y nieta. Curioso ¿no? Ah, y ahora tenemos partido de golf con unos buenos amigos. Bastante recientes, pero estupendos. Tine, Noruega y Carsten, alemán, pero ambos ciudadanos del mundo y con un castellano espléndido. Cultos y buenos conversadores. Y como nos caen tan bien, nos da lo mismo ganar que perder. Seguirá siendo, ganemos o perdamos, un Buen Día.

Stories from here (II): A good day It has not been a bad day. It was early, a little before three, that strange time when you are only aware of the breathing at your side and what you listen to on the radio. The breathing, like almost always, peaceful and calm. In the Guadiaro post office, I sent a suit and some shoes to my boy Javi Chicheri, who lives in Tenerife, for a wedding he has in Bangkok. Bangkok no less! In the post office in the Port, I had some small consignments for Alejandra, my granddaughter, who is like my daughter. Then I was in the notary office. Muy buenas Jesús, un placer tenerte por aquí. ¿Influye mucho conocer la idiosincrasia del lugar en el que se va a ejecutar un proyecto? Absolutamente. Hay teorías y formas de entender la arquitectura que defienden que sin conocer el lugar es imposible realizar un gran proyecto. Para mí es clave estudiar la parcela, contemplar por dónde entra la luz, qué se ve y qué se escucha. En definitiva, involucrarse en el paisaje forma parte del proceso de elaboración de un gran diseño. Sin conocer de forma exhaustiva el lugar físico y sin entender su contexto, es imposible. ¿Qué tipo de arquitectura seduce a Jesús Herrera? La que tiene sentido. La que dialoga con el entorno, la que cuando se observa percibimos que todo tiene un argumento y un motivo. El acceso, la orientación, el por qué colocar tal recurso aquí y no en otro sitio, nada debe ser casualidad. Que todo guarde una armonía y un equilibrio que dote de sentido a ese proyecto arquitectónico. La arquitectura tiene que transmitir y emocionar. La urbanización permite un estilo que se mezcla con el paisaje y el medio… Obviamente. El concepto de estar dentro de casa pero sentirse fuera,

ahora mismo es una consideración muy importante en el diseño. Es una forma de sentirte libre en tu propia vivienda. Además de darte protección la vivienda es un espacio que tiene que dialogar con el exterior, especialmente en un lugar como Sotogrande que te permite conjugar el diseño con el paisaje. Un ejemplo de ello es integrar un jardín con el interior de una casa, en donde si tienes la oportunidad de crear una fuente en un hall principal, esta puede dialogar con la piscina exterior u otras zonas azules. Eso es clave en el nuevo concepto de diseño que vemos en la urbanización. En la mayoría de los proyectos se busca un equilibrio entre las demandas del clientes y la libertad del arquitecto para crear, ¿cierto? Desde mi experiencia, los clientes suelen aportar muchísimo y en la mayoría de los casos hacia un objetivo positivo común: lograr un proyecto final desde la excelencia. En ocasiones tenemos que guiar al cliente hacia un diseño que guarde equilibrio y armonía; y en otras son ellos los que nos ayudan a nosotros para centrarnos en las ideas básicas del proyecto. Toda esa trayectoria te ha permitido afrontar también proyectos internacionales…

Afortunadamente, sí. He podido trabajar y diseñar en Israel y Azerbaiyán, y ahora empiezo a desarrollar desde aquí proyectos muy interesantes en una ciudad vacacional importante de China. Sotogrande es un lugar muy internacional que te abre puertas para trabajar en el extranjero; además esos proyectos permiten afrontar otros desafíos con conceptos diferentes como edificios en altura y demás. En los últimos años vemos aparecer nuevas promociones y construcciones en Sotogrande, ¿qué te parece el nuevo estilo?

Como a cualquiera, hay unos que me gustan más y otros menos, pero en cualquier caso, el uso del diseño como hilo conductor de estos proyectos es evidente. Valoro muchísimo el trabajo que se está desarrollado y hay que felicitarlos. El conocimiento del lugar, el paisaje, el medio ambiente y la sostenibilidad es lo que me inspira el estilo en las nuevas promociones que estoy desarrollando con mi equipo, tanto en La Reserva como junto al lago de Almenara. Como consideración general, también es cierto que ya, a los arquitectos, nos están empezando a

llegar frase como: “tan moderno, no”. Y son cosas a vigilar. ¿Hay algo que no puede faltar en un diseño de Jesús Herrera? Cuando una persona visite una casa diseñada por mí se debe impresionar mientras conoce el proyecto. Que tenga que suspirar varias veces. Y por supuesto, sin desvelar ningún secreto profesional [sonríe], la entrada debe ser espectacular. Eso condiciona, sin duda, el interés y las sensaciones que despierta a una persona cuando conoce un nuevo proyecto que se convertirá en tu hogar.

Without having an exhaustive knowledge of the physical place and without understanding its context, it is impossible. What type of architecture seduces Jesús Herrera? The type that makes sense. The type that establishes a dialogue with the surroundings, which when you ob-

serve it you feel that everything has a point and a motive. The entrance, the orientation, the reason for putting such and such a resource her and not elsewhere, nothing should be a coincidence. Everything should maintain a harmony and a balance that gives meaning to the architectural project. Architect has to convey and thrill. The resort enables a style that mixes with the landscape and the home... Obviously. The concept of being in the home but feeling outside, is a very important consideration in design right now. It is a way of feeling free in your own property. In addition to protecting you the home is a space that has to establish a dialogue with the outside surroundings, especially in a place like Sotogrande that makes it possible to combine the design with the

landscape. One example of that is integrating a garden with the interior of a home, where if you have the chance to create a fountain in a main hall, it can have a dialogue with the outdoor pool or other water areas. That is essential in the new design concept that we see in the resort. Most projects seek a balance between the demands of clients and the architect´s freedom to create, right? In my experience, clients normally contribute a lot and in the majority of cases towards a shared positive objective: achieving an end project that embodies excellence. Sometimes we have to guide the client towards a design that keeps a balance and harmony; and at other times it is they who help us to focus on the basic ideas of the project. Your entire career has also enabled you to tackle international pro-

jects... Luckily, yes. I have been able to work and design in Israel and Azerbaijan, and now I am beginning to develop very interesting projects from here in an important holiday city in China. Sotogrande is a very international place that opens up doors for you to work abroad; also, those projects enable you to tackle other challenges with different concepts such as high-rise buildings and others. In recent years we have seen new developments and buildings appear in Sotogrande, what do you think of the new style? Like with anything, there are some that I like more than others, but in any case, the use of design as the driving force of these projects is evident. The knowledge of the place, landscape, environment and sustainability is what inspires the style in the new developments that I am creating with my team, both at La Reserva and next to Almenara lake. As a general consideration, it is also true that architects are now beginning to hear phrases like: “very modern, no”. And these are things to watch out for. El PIVG, a través de su portavoz Jesús Mayoral, recriminó al equipo de gobierno local que “pasan los meses y todo sigue igual a pesar de las Mociones y denuncias que presentamos desde el PIVG, motivadas por quejas de los ciudadanos, el ayuntamiento prácticamente se paraliza todo en verano porque al alcalde y los concejales se les va el tiempo con las fiestas y eventos estivales”. “Para rematar, este alcalde coge sus vacaciones al final del verano y la

parálisis se alarga más”, añade. “Desde hace meses el PIVG, viene denunciando el estado lamentable, en el que se encuentran muchos espacios y viarios públicos que cada vez están más deteriorados por que siguen en las mismas condiciones o peores, ejemplos claros los tenemos en denuncias que hemos realizado. Como en Guadiaro, la situación de la calle el Sabio, y la zona verde junto al polígono del Cañuelo”, detalla. Además reitera las reclamaciones por el

estado del carril bici en la carretera de Arenillas que “ahora dice el alcalde que pertenece a la Junta de Andalucía, pero que no nos dan la documentación solicitada por el PIVG, sobre esa aseveración, o el traslado a la Junta para que se ocupen de un mantenimiento que lleva 12 años sin hacerse”, matiza. “Lo mismo están dejando todo para los últimos meses del mandato y hacer una campaña de choque en los meses próximos a las elecciones, para la captación

de votos que es lo que hace un equipo de gobierno que durante los meses anteriores ha estado trabajando sin una planificación

y a impulso de campañas de choque en trabajos que deben ser rutinarios y continuos”, concluye.

El Puesto Principal de la Guardia Civil en Guadiaro sufre una nueva e importante merma en el número de efectivos asignados y lo que es aún más preocupante es que a nivel oficial aún se desconoce si finalmente a corto o medio plazo se acabarán cubriendo nuevamente esas bajas con un núme-

ro igual o superior de incorporaciones. Según datos que ha podido recabar este medio, la Casa Cuartel de Guadiaro habría disminuido hasta en 7 plazas el número de efectivos disponibles desde el pasado lunes, 15 de septiembre. Siete mermas a las que habría que sumar otros dos traslados

[dos bajas que añadir] del trimestre pasado y que dejan una cifra total de 22 agentes en el Puesto Principal, es decir, en menos de un año el cuartel habría perdido hasta un 30% del total de sus efectivos . Destacar que en otros tiempos, no demasiado lejanos, el Casa Cuartel de Guadiaro llegó a tener hasta

medio centenar de agentes de patrulla, situando en esa cifra la cuota idílica para la perfecta disposición y operatividad a pleno rendimiento de un Puesto Principal en una zona de estas singularidades. La preocupación social se extiende a que esta despoblación

de agentes pudiera acabar traduciéndose en una absorción del cuartel guadiareño por parte del Puesto Principal de San Roque, perdiendo así la idiosincrasia y la cercanía de este servicio para el Valle del Guadiaro: contar con un Puesto Principal.

Casi 40 actos se incluyen en la agenda de turismo de septiembre, que han sido coordinadas por la delegación Municipal de Turismo. Destacan, como cada mes, las visitas guiadas y las rutas gastronómicas y sobre todo, el turismo de aventura, además de 13 torneos de Golf y uno de vela. Además, los actos con motivo del Día Internacional del Turismo, el 27 de septiembre, tendrán un programa aparte, así como los espectáculos de Sanrotín, un Festival de Títeres y otras pequeñeces. Diez de nuestros

estudiantes que se presentaron al Diploma del Bachillerato Internacional obtuvieron una impresionante calificación de 40 puntos, y dos de ellos lograron una puntuación perfecta de 45 sobre 45. Alumnos del Internacional de Sotogrande presentan su Hiperbaric Challenge en el polo 1 M. Gil

Un pequeño grupo de jóvenes alumnos del Colegio Internacional de Sotogrande decidieron afrontar el duro reto de diseñar y fabricar un vehículo para el Hiperbaric Challenge. Presentaron su resultado en el espacio de Luxury Gardens, donde asistió como muestra de apoyo uno de los principales soportes del proyecto: Maserati Iberia. El Hiperbaric Challenge es un programa educativo orientado a estudiantes de diferentes niveles formativos, que incluye ciclos formativos de grado medio y superior. Consiste en el diseño, construcción y prototipado de un coche de inercia. Los

equipos de Hiperbaric Challenge, orientados por un profesor, “desarrollan su talento y capacidad de innovación, potencian el trabajo en equipo, y descubren su vocación científica y tecnológica”, tal y como señalan los responsables de la iniciativa. En este caso, el equipo del Colegio Internacional de Sotogrande estaba liderado por Carmelo Sánchez Martín (Head of IT del Colegio) y David Álvarez del Pino (profesor). Estaba compuesto por siete alumnos de diferentes edades, que desarrollaron su vehículo teniendo en cuenta desde los aspectos técnicos hasta los

patrocinadores que proporcionaran los fondos para los equipos necesarios. Los estudiantes participaron en la edición de este año, celebrada en Burgos en el mes de junio. Se tuvieron que enfrentar a algunos problemas, como algún fallo técnico, que tuvieron que resolver sobre la marcha. Es uno de los retos de Hiperbaric Challenge: superar las adversidades con técnica y abordar cada problema para darle una solución óptima. A pesar de ello, quedaron en una nada despreciable décima posición, por lo que el proyecto promete mejorar sus posiciones en la

próxima competición. El vehículo tenía un peso de 93 kilos, y para la próxima edición tienen previsto dotarlo de algo más de masa para rozar el máximo permitido en la competición (100 kilos). Tienen previsto también incorporar algunas innovaciones al volante, como un sistema adicional de seguridad y la posibilidad de que se pueda quitar de su eje, con el fin de

que el conductor pueda abandonar el vehículo con más facilidad. El evento se desarrolló en la zona de Luxury Gardens, en el Santa María Polo Club. Paco Calle, de Luxury Gardens, animó a los estudiantes a continuar trabajando en esto, y expuso algunos de los méritos de este pequeño grupo de ingenieros que tiene, sin lugar a dudas, un futuro muy prometedor.

Pupils from Sotogrande International School present their Hiperbaric Challenge at polo A small group of young pupils from Sotogrande International School decided to tackle the tough challenge of designing and producing a vehicle for the Hiberbaric Challenge. They presented the result at the Luxury Gardens space, where they attended as a sign of support for one of the main backers of the project: Maserati Iberia. The Hiperbaric Challenge is an educational program targeted at students of different levels of education, which includes intermediate and advanced training cycles. It consists of the design, construction and prototyping of an inertia car.

The teams in the Hiperbaric Challenge, guided by a teacher, “de-

velop their talent and capacity for innovation, encourage team work, and discover their scientific and technological innovation”, as outlined by the organisers of the initiative. In this case, the team from Sotogrande International School was led by Carmelo Sánchez Martín (Head of IT at the School) and David Álvarez del Pino (teacher). The team was formed by seven pupils of different ages, who created their vehicle taking into account everything from technical aspects to the sponsors who provided the funds for the necessary teams.

The students participated in this year´s edition, held in Burgos during June. They had to face some problems, like some technical faults, which had to be resolved on the go. This is one of the challenges of the Hiberbaric Challenge: overcoming adversity with skill and tackling every problem in order to find the optimum solution. Despite this, the team ended up in a not insignificant tenth place, therefore the project aims to improve their ranking in the next competition. The vehicle weighed 93 kilograms, and for the next edition they plan to give it a little more mass in or-

der to come closer to the maximum allowed in the competition (100 kilograms). They also plan to incorporate some innovations into the steering wheel, like an additional security system and the possibility to take it off its axis, in order for the driver to be able to leave the vehicle more easily. The event took place at the Luxury Gardens area, at Santa María Polo Club. Paco Calle, from Luxury Gardens, encouraged the students to keep working on this, and outlined some of the merits of this small group of enginers which, undoubtedly, has a very promising future.

Se abre la convocatoria para solicitar de becas para Infantil de 3 a 5 años 1 M. Gil

Desde este lunes, 3 de septiembre, y hasta el viernes 21 podrá solicitarse becas para la adquisición de material escolar para el Segundo Ciclo de Educación Infantil (de 3 a 5 años), de cara al curso 2018/2019. El Ayuntamiento ha dispuesto una partida de 22.000 euros que se pretende agotar al completo, como ocurrió en el pasado curso, y se destinará un máxi-

mo 80 euros por alumno, por lo que serán unas 200 familias las beneficiadas. La resolución de Alcaldía en la que se convocan estas ayudas fue publicada en el Boletín Oficial de la Provincia (BOP) de Cádiz el pasado viernes 15. Se trata de unas ayudas económicas que se concederán en régimen de concurrencia competiti-

va, y su objeto es la adquisición de libros de texto y material didáctico escolar para el II ciclo de Educación Infantil para alumnos y alumnas matriculados en centros públicos del municipio en el curso 2018/2019. La partida presupuestaria se sitúa en los 22.000 euros, y como requisitos se exige: estar empadronado en San Roque al menos en los 6 últimos

meses; y no superar los umbrales económicos en el ejercicio 2017 establecidos en la convocatoria. También se debe estar al corriente de las obligaciones fiscales con el Ayuntamiento y cooperar en cuantas activi-

dades de inspección/verificación se lleven a cabo para asegurar el destino final de la ayuda. Las ayudas se pagarán a través de transferencia bancaria, y el plazo máximo de resolución se ha fijado en 3 meses.

El viernes 31 de agosto se dio por ﬁnalizada la trigésimo primera edición del Torneo de Tenis Colegio San José, en el Club de Tenis Bel-Air de Estepona. El torneo, que reparte hasta 9000€ en premios, ha contado con un altísimo nivel de participación, con dos centenares de jugadores de excelente calidad y un alto nivel tenístico que hacen posible que el nivel de juego se supere en cada edición. Tuvo lugar entre los días 25 y 31 de agosto de 2018. Tras una más que emocionante fase ﬁnal tuvo lugar la entrega de trofeos, a la que siguió un sorteo de regalos entre todos los asistentes. Trabajadores autónomos y gastos repercutidos Una de las dudas que surgen a los trabajadores Autónomos con más frecuencia acerca de cómo declarar los gastos relacionados con la actividad, hace referencia a las dietas y desplazamientos. Estos son gastos que el trabajador por cuenta propia debe cobrar a sus clientes, pero que a veces, no tenemos claro cómo incluirlas en la factura. La Ley del IRPF (Ley 35/2006, de 28 de noviembre, del Impuesto sobre la Renta de las Personas Físicas y de modificación parcial de las leyes de los Impuestos sobre Sociedades, sobre la Renta de no Residentes y sobre el Patrimonio) en su artículo 17.1d) exceptúa en los rendimientos

íntegros del trabajo que constituyen las dietas y asignaciones para gastos de viaje, aquellos que se refieren a locomoción y los normales de manutención y estancia en establecimientos de hostelería, especificando que reglamentariamente se establecerán límites a esta excepción. Si eres un trabajador autónomo te interesará saber que existen dos modos de incluir estos gastos de dietas y desplazamientos relacionados con la prestación de servicios. Una opción sería incluir estos gastos en factura como un concepto adicional. Se pueden incluir las dietas y desplazamientos como un elemento más de la

base imponible, ya sea integrándolo en el propio concepto del trabajo o servicio realizado, o indicándolo de forma independiente, pero en cualquiera de los casos, aplicándole el IVA y la retención del IRPF que pueda corresponder. Tanto los gastos de hostelería como los gastos de manutención pueden tener un IVA reducido en la factura que obtengas por dichos gastos, pero que en dicha factura se haya aplicado un IVA reducido no significa que se pueda aplicar el mismo en la factura del autónomo. Otra posibilidad es repercutir al cliente el gasto realizado en dietas y desplazamientos para

prestar el servicio, o lo que es lo mismo, incluir dicho gasto como un suplido. Para ello, hay que tener en cuenta que la factura ha de expedirse a nombre del cliente directamente, y no al del autónomo, para que sea el cliente quien pueda deducirse esos gastos, y los impuestos inherentes al mismo, y no el autónomo en sus declaraciones. Si se opta por esta opción, debe haber acuerdo entre el autónomo y el cliente de qué gastos asumirá, ya que, si solicitas la factura a nombre del cliente y luego no reembolsa el gasto al autónomo, no sólo habrá perdido el dinero invertido el autónomo, sino que encima el autónomo no podrá

Self-employed workers and expenses charged One of the doubts that arise most often for self-employed workers is how to declare expenses relating to their activity, in terms of daily allowances and travel costs. These are expenses that self-employed workers must charge from their clients, but sometimes they are not sure about how to include them in the invoice. If this option is chosen, there needs to be an agreement between the freelancer and the client over what expenses they will assume, as if you request the invoice in the name of the client and then they don´t refund the freelancer´s expenses, not only will the latter have lost the money spent, but rather, they will also not be able to deduct the expense in their accounting. El Ayuntamiento de San Roque, a través de la Delegación Municipal de Empleo, y la Cámara de Comercio del Campo de Gibraltar, van a poner en marcha tres cursos de formación para jóvenes antes de que finalice el año. Esa es una de las conclusiones de la reunión mantenida por la concejal de Empleo, Belén Jiménez, con personal de la Cámara. El Programa Integral de Cualificación y Empleo (PICE) incluye una serie de medidas

adicionales al Sistema Nacional de Garantía Juvenil, permitiendo desarrollar con los alumnos un completo itinerario de actuaciones que incluye formación, orientación, acercamiento a la empresa y mejora de la experiencia profesional. El programa consta de tres fases: la primera, de orientación vocacional; la segunda, de formación transversal, que incluye competencias digitales, idiomas y habilidades; y la tercera, una formación específica rela-

cionada con los conocimientos demandados por las empresas para el desempeño del puesto de trabajo para el que se cualifica mediante prácticas en ellas. Retratos pictóricos Cuando el pintor impresionista judío-alemán Max Liebermann dio a un cliente el retrato que le había encargado, éste, insatisfecho por el parecido con que le había pintado, protestó. En un buen retrato pictórico se demuestra algo que se cuestiona continuamente en todas las artes: el amor a la verdad no exige el sacrificio de la discreción y del buen gusto. Un buen cuadro puede ser excelso precisamente por ser discreto, porque llega a la justa medida, porque es, ante todo y sobre todo, armónico, condición esencialísima en todas las manifestaciones del intelecto humano, pero en un retrato de cualquier índole es la cualidad que define a su creador. Esta condición es difícil de alcanzar si el artista no asume una actitud absolutamente impersonal delante de su obra para reproducir los tonos infinitos del alma humana en general, sin contagiar sus creaciones con arrebatos de la suya propia.

Pondré una analogía con el teatro con el fin de aclarar esta cuestión. Sabemos cómo piensan y sienten Otelo, Hamlet, Miranda y Julieta, conocemos sus conflictos morales; pero no sabemos nada de Shakespeare. Él nunca dejó escrito con voz propia sus ideales. Sus personajes revelan ellos mismos sus almas al que sabe contemplarlos. El retratista debe demostrar sus plenas facultades, dominando por completo el carácter del personaje, ese complejo corporal y anímico que conforma al ser humano, manifestándolo hacia afuera. Para ello, el pintor se sirve de estos tres elementos: la caracterización, los rasgos de parecido con el modelo, los gestos, la intensidad de la mirada, es decir, la acentuación de lo individual; la simbolización, la indumentaria, la elección de los objetos que se representan, la posición, la actitud, es decir, el valor social del personaje; y la composición, la relación figura/fondo, el esquema, la armonía de formas, es decir, el valor puro de la pintura. Carác-

ter y vigor expresivo son las armas que debe empuñar para defender a sus personajes. La mirada concentra la fuerza significativa y elocuente de los modelos, de manera que más que actuar hacia afuera, se giran hacia dentro para mostrar, con exquisita sensibilidad, el infinito de cada uno de esos seres que se perpetúan en las telas. Particularmente, me gusta que las habilidades pictóricas también se destinen a jugar con la arrogancia de las figuras, con una sutil -por descarada- altivez que demuestre una soberanía en la comprensión de la armonía, la belleza y la estética en general. Una medida incursión en el mundo de la fantasía y una meticulosa “politesse”, siempre bajo una luz que dirija los ojos del espectador, pueden favorecer que la figura rete con su mirada y su actitud, demostrando un cierto secreto placer por contravenir la ley. En este tipo de retratos se palpa cierta atracción por la rebeldía y sin ulteriores ansias de sensualidad, provecho o deleite. Los maravillosos efectos del detalle y la sobriedad en los colores representan la prueba mayor de respeto a la verdad y a la naturaleza. En el color la naturaleza es brillante, pero sobria. Es el artificio humano el que ha creado los contrastes violentos que embriagan y alteran la vista. Respecto a la utilización de la gama de colores delirantes, conducidos en ocasiones a su límite extremo en ciertos retratos, que describen lo inmortal y también lo perecedero, la albura impoluta a través de los deliciosos perfumes de los óleos rememoran amor por la pintura, fastuosidad, esplendores y bacanales, que, remitidos a la gama cromática, equivaldrían al oro y a la púrpura. Hay en un retrato pictórico algo de “sagrado” que murmura en un idioma eterno. Me resulta imposible finalizar este texto sin recordar las palabras de Lafuente Ferrari sobre este género pictórico: “Se olvida muchas veces que el mero hecho de ser retratista, de poseer dones para la representación individual, es algo que tiene valor en sí mismo. No es retratista quien quiere, sino quien puede. Y no vale hablar de fotografía”.

The continuity of the power of the portrait genre in a school indicates positive aesthetic health and its tradition in the history of Spanish painting is unfathomable. It is clear that for the portrait artist there is a crucial premise; the resemblance of the painting to the model. To attain this end, it is necessary to wisely manage the brushstrokes in order to produce a sort of evocative sorcery; then the colours talk, the lines rule with a decisive voice and all without forgetting what the photographer René Burri said: “Everything is in the gestures....” A good pictorial portrait shows something that is constantly questioned in all the arts; the love of truth does not demand the sacrifice of discretion and good taste. A good picture can be exalted precisely because it is discreet, because it attains the right measurement, because it is, above all and especially, harmonious, the essential condition in all manifestations of the human intellect, but in any kind of portrait it is the quality that defines its creator. This condition is difficult to attain if the artist does not assume an absolutely impersonal attitude in front of their work in order to reproduce the infinite shades of the human soul in general, without polluting their creations with outbursts of their own. I will add an anthology with theatre in order to clarify this matter. We know how Othello, Hamlet, Miranda and Juliet think and feel, we know their moral conflicts; but we know nothing about Shakespeare. He never wrote down his ideals in his own voice. His characters reveal their souls to those who are able to contemplate them.

The portrait artist must show all his powers, completely dominating the character of the person, that bodily and spiritual entity that shapes the human being, projecting them outwards. To achieve that, the painter uses these three elements: characterisation, the similarity traits with the model, the gestures, intensity of the gaze, that is to say, the accentuation of what is individual about them; the symbolisation, the clothing, the choice of the objects presented, the position, attitude, that is to say, the social value of the character; and the composition, the figure/background relationship, the outline, the harmony of shapes, that is to say, the pure value of the painting. Character and expressive vigour are the weapons that they must wield in order to defend their characters. The gaze concentrates the strength of meaning and eloquence of the models, so that more than acting outwards, they turn inwards in order to show, with exquisite sensibility, the infinite depth of each of those beings that are perpetuated on the canvases. I particularly like when pictorial skills are also used to play with the arrogance of the figures, with subtle -due to the boldness- arrogance that shows a sovereignty in the understanding of harmony, beauty and aesthetics in general. A measured incursion into the world of fantasy and a meticulous “politesse”, always under a light directs the eyes of the spectator, can encourage the figure to challenge with their gaze and their attitude, demonstrating a certain secret pleasure in defying the law. In this type of portraits, you can feel a certain attraction for rebelliousness and without subsequent cravings for sensuality, benefit or delight. The marvellous effects of detail and the sobriety in colours represents the greatest proof of respect for truth and nature. In the colour, the naturalness is brilliant, but sober. It is the human artifice that has created the violent contrasts that inebriate and alter

the vision. With regard to the use of the range of crazy colours, sometimes taken to their extreme limit in certain portraits, which describe the immortal and also the perishable, the untainted whiteness through the delicious perfumes of the oils remember love for painting, lavishness, splendours and orgies, which in terms of the colour range, would equate to gold and purple. In a pictorial portrait there is something “sacred” that murmurs in an eternal language. I find it impossible to end this text without remembering the words of Lafuente Ferrari regarding this genre of picture: “It is often forgotten that the mere fact of being a portrait artist, of having the gifts for individual representation, is something that has value in itself. Portrait artists are not the people who want to be it, but rather those who can. And it is not appropriate to talk about photography”.

El Andalucía Valderrama Masters 2018 de golf comienza su andadura con la presentación oficial llevada a cabo en las instalaciones del club que ya se encuentra en perfecto estado de revista para la celebración del torneo [del 17 al 21 de octubre]. En la puesta de largo, sin desvelar grandes nombres más allá del de Sergio García [que defiende el título de 2017], se deslizó por parte de la organización la asistencia de un importante grupo de varios de los mejores golfistas mundiales para una competición que espera más de 50 mil visitantes durante el torneo y llegará a más de 400 millones de hogares por televisión. La mesa presidencial estuvo formada por el alcalde de San Roque, Juan Carlos Ruiz Boix; el secretario General de Deportes de la Junta de Andalucía, Antonio Fernández; el director del Andalucía Valderrama Masters, Simón Alles; el presidente de la Federación Andaluza de golf, Pablo Marcilla; así como los responsables del campo de

Otras de las grandes novedades del torneo fue desvelada por el director de campeonato europeo, Simón Alles, que adelanto que esta edición se convertirá en “el primer torneo volcado en la sostenibilidad y el cuidado del medio ambiente, a través del reciclado de botellas agua”. dificaciones en algunos hoyos y calles y con un mantenimiento extremo”. Algo que convertirá en aún más competitivo el trazado y será “más justo” con los jugadores respecto al resultado. También, por parte de la organización del club, se analizaron algunos temas más técnicos como el cambio de una calzada de buggy en el hoyo 17 que mejorará la agresividad de los jugadores en tan emblemático hoyo; así

como la recuperación del diseño original en el hoyo 11 (con un green más amplio), o importantes mejoras en sistema de regado y drenaje. Además, se habló de la implantación de un nuevo tipo de césped en zonas cercanas a los greenes. Todo en perfecto estado para la cuenta atrás de un torneo que promete grandes momentos en un nuevo otoño golfístico en Sotogrande.

Se llevó a cabo la protocolaria reunión para coordinar la seguridad del Andalucía Valderrama Master de golf, prueba del European Tour que se celebrará por cuarta vez entre el 17 y el 21 de octubre en el mítico recorrido del Real Club Valderrama y cuyo título defiende Sergio García. En la reunión estuvieron presentes miembros de Policía Local, Protección Civil, Guardia Civil, Policía Nacional, empresa de seguridad privada, bomberos, personal del campo, representantes del Consistorio y de la organización del evento. Estas reuniones son necesarias para coordinar todo lo referente a seguridad con motivo de grandes aglomeraciones de público, como las que se esperan en este torneo, y con el objetivo de garantizar la seguridad de los ciudadanos. La teniente de alcalde de Seguridad, Mercedes Serrano,

indicó que “comenzamos con esta reunión los preparativos para garantizar la seguridad de este evento, un reclamo turístico y deportivo para muchos visitantes”. “Trabajamos meticulosamente para garantizar la seguridad dentro del evento, y tenemos la base del excelente trabajo desarrollado el pasado

Security operation for Andalucía Valderrama Masters being studied A work group is coordinating all the preparations for the event which expects a crowd of more than 15,000 visitors on each day of the competition The formal meeting has taken place for the coordination of security at the Andalucía Valderrama Golf Masters, an event on the European Tour which will take place for the fourth time between 17 and 21 October at the legendary course of Real Club Valderrama, and the title is being defended by Sergio García. Gavira y Herrera renuevan su título nacional de voley playa El sanroqueño y el castellonense se imponen con superiodidad en la cita celebrada en la Reserva del Higuerón Pablo Herrera y Adrián Gavira reeditaron su título de campeones de España de vóley playa en el torneo celebrado en la Reserva del Higuerón en Fuengirola. La pareja formada por el castellonense y el sanroqueño fueron los claros dominadores del encuentro final, sobre todo del primer set, ante el dúo formado por Francisco Tomás y César Menéndez, y sumaron un nuevo título a su extenso palmarés. En el primer set Herrera-Gavira dejaron claro por qué son la pareja más laureada del vóley playa nacional, dominando a placer el juego y el tanteador. No dieron opción a sus rivales y siempre dominaron el marcador, demostrando una superioridad aplastante ante la pareja número 6 del Campeonato de España 2018. Tal ha sido el dominio que el primer set se cerró con un claro parcial de 21-11. Consta de 4 torneos a celebrarse todos en este mes de septiembre, dos en Europa (Holanda y Bélgica) y otros dos en Estados Unidos (Hawai y California), y tiene un formato particular, entre festivalero y competitivo, que busca ante todo el espectáculo y el entretenimiento del público. Reúne a algunos de los mejores equipos del Mundo, entre ellos los noruegos Mol-Sørum, los holandeses Brouwer-Meeuwsen o los brasileños Bruno-Pedro, y en el primer torneo de la serie, disputado el pasado viernes en Utrecht (Holanda) Pablo Herrera y Adrián Gavira lograron alzarse con el triunfo. El equipo de La Indiana se proclamó ganador de la Copa de Oro Maserati de alto hándicap del 47º Torneo Internacional de Polo, tras vencer 13-8 a Lechuza Caracas en una apasionante final. El público llenó las gradas del Santa María Polo Club de Sotogrande para presenciar este interesante partido, cita clave del verano en Sotogrande. La modelo y embajadora de Maserati, Nieves Álvarez, fue la encargada de entregar el preciado trofeo Facundo Pieres recogió el trofeo Aedas al mejor jugador de la final de manos de Mikel Artaza, en representación de Aedas Home. Pieres también se llevó el trofeo Tío Pepe como máximo goleador de la Copa de Oro de alto hándicap, que entregó Álvaro del Río, consejero de Bodegas González Byass. The public filled the stands at Santa María Polo Club in Sotogrande to witness this interesting match, a key event of summer in Sotogrande. The model and Maserati ambassador, Nieves Álvarez, took charge of presenting the valued trophy. Facundo Pieres collected the Aedas trophy for best player in the final from Mikel Artaza, representing Aedas Home. Pieres also took home the Tío Pepe trophy as leading scorer of the High Handicap Gold Cup, presented by Álvaro del Río, the CEO of Bodegas González Byass. The mare Azúcar, ridden by Facundo Pieres, was recognised with the Hola! Trophy for the best horse, an award that was presented by the president of Santa María Polo Club, Antonio Ortiz. Both teams made a strong at-

tempt to add this Grand Slam of the World Polo Circuit up for grabs in Sotogrande to their trophy cabinet, but La Indiana completed a great game in general and had a colossal Facundo Pieres. The goals took a long time to arrive in the first chukker -each of the six periods lasting for seven minutes that comprise the match- until Juan Martín Nero opened the scoring. Before the first buzzer, La Indiana had turned things around. This time, La Indiana did not let the lead slip. Facundo Pieres, the man of the match with ten of his side´s thirteen goals, sealed the match with a great goal that got the public out of their seats and sealed the definitive 13-8. Medium and Low Handicap In turn, Ayala Polo Team was crowned winner of the Maserati Medium Handicap Gold Cup, after winning 13-12 against MB Polo in the final, which concluded the 47th International Polo Tournament in Sotogrande. On the other hand, La Isla won the subsidiary final in the same competition, against La Esperanza by 10.

After the match, the star of La Indiana, Facundo Pieres, declared that the final was his side´s “best match” at the tournament. “We were up against a great team that had just won the Silver Cup and that was playing very well, but we were good, we had a very good fourth chukker and we managed to take off” stated the best player of the match. “The four of us were very good. I am very happy to win this title, and also for this group of people who work a lot and for the horses. Now we have to enjoy this Gold Cup, which is not attained every day, and then work with greater motivation for the new season in Argentina” added Pieres. Santiago Gómez Romero, another of the members of the winning team, said: “We started the first chukker very well, we had a bad second, but by halfway through we managed a fantastic lead. Beating a team like that makes us very happy”. The president of Santa María Polo Club, Antonio Ortiz, offered an assessment of the 47th International Polo Tournament. “We have managed to produce a tournament with a high sporting level, which pleased the public, with big crowds and it ratifies Sotogrande as a riding and polo benchmark in August around the world”. Tras la habitual parada durante el verano, el Pequecircuito de Andalucía 2018 retomó su recorrido por los campos de golf andaluces, y lo hizo visitando los recorridos pares tres de Bil Bil Golf, el Real Club de Campo de Córdoba y Valle del Este Golf Resort. En total, más de 150 jugadores menores de 12 años se dieron cita en las pruebas. La Cañada logra el bronce en el Interclubes nacional de golf La cita se celebra en Lauro Golf y La Herrería logra el triunfo 1 Manuel Gil

El equipo representante de la Escuela Municipal de Golf La Cañada subió al tercer puesto del podio nacional en la cuadragésima entrega del certamen nacional Interclubes Infantil REALE 2018, disputado en el recorrido de Lauro Golf, en Alhaurín de la Torre. Los 32 equipos y los 128 golfistas presentes dieron gran ejemplo en las dos jornadas de juego, un evento en el que compañerismo, competitividad y aprendizaje van de la mano. Por su parte, el equipo del Real Club de Golf La Herrería ganó con brillo y solvencia. Lo hizo con veinte golpes de ventaja sobre el segundo clasificado, que fue el combinado del también madrileño Club de Golf La Dehesa, con un total acumulado de 543 impactos en dura pugna con el equipo de la Escuela Municipal La Cañada, que sumaba al término de la prueba 544 golpes, un impacto menos con respecto

al RCG Guadalmina, que añadía a su tarjeta 545 golpes. Ambas formaciones protagonizaron un magnífico duelo en su lucha por hacerse con el subcampeonato. Uno año más, la prueba puso de manifiesto el excelente trabajo realizado por las escuelas de los clubes españoles y el desbordante talento juvenil que hay en ellas.

David Puig se impone en el Nacional Sub 18 Masculino en La Cañada Golf David Puig se impuso en el Internacional de España Sub 18 Masculino Stroke Play 2018, disputado en el Club de Golf Municipal La Cañada. La extraordinaria ronda final de Puig con 64 golpes le dejó con un total de 269 golpes, tres menos que Eduard Rousaud y cuatro menos que Hugo Aguilar, que pelearon también por dar caza al campeón con 65 golpes, pero que lograron alcanzar al campeón, muy sólido durante todo el día. En un torneo en el que hasta 16 jugadores finalizaron bajo par, la mejor ronda de la jornada ha sido la protagonizada por Jaime Morales, que ha firmado una estratosférica tarjeta de 62 golpes para ascender al cuarto puesto con un total de 279. Mientras, Javier Barcos, que partía a dos golpes del líder no consiguió mantener el ritmo del sábado y con 73 golpes terminó más atrás, con un total de 280 en quinto lugar junto con Esteban Vázquez y Álvaro Mueller Baumgart.

La que más lució en el torneo fue la prolífica cantera de la Escuela Municipal La Cañada, que fue impecable en la primera jornada y lo volvió a ser en la segunda, a punto de alcanzar el primer puesto el grupo de golfistas locales formado por María Torres, Almudena Agüera, Ángel Ayora y Juan Pedro Ramírez.

‘Ceuta Sí’ gana la I Regata El Estrecho A3 Las difíciles condiciones de viento ponen a prueba a las tripulaciones en una travesía acortada entre Sotogrande y Ceuta. ‘Al Tarik IV’ ‘Flamenco’ y ‘Ceuta Sí’ ganadores por clases de la primera edición de la prueba ‘a tres’ 1 Redacción

El Grand Surprise ‘Ceuta Sí’ fue el vencedor de la I Regata El Estrecho A3 organizada al-alimón por el Real Club Náutico de Algeciras, el Club de Vela Vendaval de Ceuta y el Real Club Marítimo Sotogrande. Este último en su condición de puerto de salida despedía a la flota pasadas las diez de la mañana aunque no sería hasta casi cuatro horas después cuando los casi treinta barcos participantes comenzaban la travesía costera con destino a Ceuta. El peñón de Gibraltar era finalmente testigo directo del comienzo de la regata ‘a tres’ dado que las difíciles condiciones de viento en las inmediaciones del puerto de Sotogrande hicieron del todo imposible dar la salida en el lugar y hora prevista. La reacción del comité no se hacía es-

perar y tras conducir a la flota hacía levante de la roca ordenaba la salida hacía Ceuta las 14: 05 horas. En total serían 15,6 millas para las que las tripulaciones apenas contaron con 6 nudos de intensidad máxima

en la zona del canal. Tras una travesía complicada en la que los barcos y sus únicos tres tripulantes se la pasaban tomando decisiones tácticas, alrededor de las seis de la tarde comenzaban a verse los primeros

barcos desde el puerto Marina Hércules de Ceuta, donde el viento que los recibía era del NE de entre 6 y 7 nudos de intensidad. El primero en cruzar la línea de llegada en la bahía norte de la ciudad autónoma fue el Grand Surprise ‘Ceuta Sí’ del CV Vendaval de Ceuta que llegaba a casa capitaneado por Sergio Llorca junto a Nacho Tendero y Jorge Benítez, seguidos por este orden por el ‘DKB (ITO)’ de Francisco Aranda con base en el CM Marbella y el ‘Al Tarik IV’ de Jose Luis Pérez con bandera del CN Saladillo . Impresionante la regata de los primeros que conseguían darle la vuelta a un mal comienzo liderando con maestría de principio a fin. La buena gestión de viento y corrientes permitieron al barco con base en

Ceuta ampliar las esloras de ventaja sobre sus rivales para saberse ganador absoluto apenas unos minutos después de tocar puerto. En la general por clases, ‘Al Tarik IV’ vencía en ORC2, seguido de ‘Kouko’ de Pedro Butrón del Marítimo Linense y ‘Piriñaca’ de Cristóbal Iborra con grímpola del RCN de Algeciras. En ORC 3 ganaba ‘Flamenco’ de Francisco Galera del RCN de Algeciras, seguido de ‘Takaroa 2’ de Fico Jiménez Galeote, con base en Alcaidesa Marina, y ‘Etnog’ de Raúl Gutiérrez también ondeando la bandera del RCN de Algeciras. The later serving as the port of departure bid farewell to the fleet after ten in the morning, however it was not until almost four hours later when the almost thirty participating boats began the coastal route to Ceuta. The Rock of Gibraltar was ultimately a direct witness of the start of the “threes” regatta given that the difficult wind conditions in the area

around Sotogrande port made it impossible to depart from the planned location at the scheduled time. The committee was quick to react and after directing the fleet to the east of the rock, they order the departure for Ceuta at 14: 05. In total, there were 15.6 miles for which the crews barely had 6 knots of maximum intensity in the canal area. Following a difficult crossing which the boats and their only three crew members spent taking tactical decisions, at around six in the evening the first boats began to appear in sight from the Marina Hércules de Ceuta port,

where they were received by a NE wind of an intensity between 6 and 7 knots. The first to cross the finish line in the northern bay of the autonomous city was the Grand Surprise “Ceuta Sí” of CV Vendaval de Ceuta which arrived home led by Sergio Llorca alongside Nacho Tendero and Jorge Benítez, followed in this order by ‘DKB (ITO)’ of Francisco Aranda based in CM Marbella and the “Al Tarik IV” of Jose Luis Pérez flying the flag of CN Saladillo. Tarifa y polo, una combinación que sólo puede ser ganadora. La V edición del Tarifa Polo Beach (y II Cmpto. Andalucia) se celebró, un verano más, con gran éxito en la playa de los lances; una ﬁn de semana lleno de emoción y con preciosas imágenes que sólo puede regalar este deporte y más en un escenario idílico como es la tarifeña playa de los Lances. Una edición más para el recuerdo en la que el triunfo fue a parar al equipo Perlage, formado por Hernán Pieres y Carlos Piñal, que superó en la ﬁnal a Scapa Sports por seis goles a cuatro. Un reñido torneo en el que por

raro que parezca, y en pocas ocasiones sucede y más cuando todos quieren ganar, el merecido triunfo del equipo Perlage más allá de ser celebrado por todo lo alto compartió protagonismo con la gran ﬁesta del polo vivida durante todo el ﬁn de semana en Tarifa. Destacar que la mayoría de jugadores participantes compiten de manera habitual durante la temporada en Sotogrande por lo que tanto entre protagonistas y el público, no eran pocas las caras conocidas de la urbanización que este año se dejaron ver por la costa tarifeña. escenario también de todo lo que rodea a un evento como este, con el clásico After Polo y numerosos eventos y actividades paralelas que presentaron un ﬁn de semana espectacular en Tarifa. mentación del mosto de la uva, pulpa, hollejos y pepitas, y en el que se determina el color y el aroma final del vino. La temperatura ambiente durante el servicio de un vino puede influir en su degustación. Puede alterar el aroma y el sabor, por lo que es recomendable tener en cuenta este aspecto y tenerlo controlado. La etiqueta del vino nos da más información de la que podemos imaginar: variedad de la uva, región de origen, productor, porcentaje de alcohol, año de la producción
