Nuevos tiempos en La Marina Nuevo rumbo y nueva era para La Marina de Sotogrande. El último Pleno del Ayuntamiento de San Roque, que además también lo fue para la corporación actual (el próximo ya contará con los integrantes que deparen las urnas el próximo 26 de mayo), aprobógm la creación de una Entidad Urbanística de Conservación (EUC) para la Marina de Sotogrande.

Una de las grandes demandas de las diferentes comunidades y vecinos desde hace varios años en esa área de la urbanización.

Hasta la fecha y todo indica que así será hasta finales del 2019, mientras toma forma y da sus primeros pasos esa entidad de conservación, el REM (Régimen Especial de Mantenimiento de la Marina) prestaba todos esas labores de conservación y prestación de servicios en la zona, siendo éste gestionado por Sotogrande S.A.. Una cuestión que estaba prevista, según está regulado, mientras se completaba todo el proyecto urbanístico para finalmente crearse una EUC y ser entregada para la autogestión de sus propios vecinos.

No cabe la duda de que era algo reclamado por buena parte de los vecinos desde hace años, incluso con algún que otro episodio conflictivo, como tampoco cabe dudar del óptimo estado que en líneas generales siempre ha presentado esta zona de Sotogrande, una de las primeras imágenes que se llevan los visitantes (adecentamiento, seguridad, etc.).

Ahora toca navegar solos y a buen seguro se hará con buen tino. La entidad estará normalizada en gran similitud con la otra EUC que ya existe en la urbanización, Parques de Sotogrande, y supondrá un nuevo reto, evidentemente. En estos casos, la autogestión de los propios vecinos supondrá un alivio para algunos y un problema para otros, claro está. Lo que sí debe exigirse son unos estándares y niveles de calidad a la altura del lugar y la urbanización en la que se sitúan.

Es fundamental mantener el listón y que no decaiga ni un ápice, todo lo contrario, la alta prestación de servicios y un concepto de conservación y mantenimiento acorde a la propia Marina y al propio Sotogrande.

In these cases, the self-management of the residents will be a relief for some and a problem for others, that is clear. What it is necessary to demand are standards and levels of quality that are befitting of the place and the resort they are located in. It is crucial to keep the bar high and not let it drop at all, on the contrary, we need a high level of service provision and a concept of conservation and maintenance that befits the Marina and Sotogrande.

No es sorpresa alguna, ni un gran descubrimiento, exponer que en Sotogrande se respira golf durante todo el año. Pero además, es un anfitrión como pocos. Todo ello se puede traducir a que en el plazo de un mes vivieremos en esta urbanización dos de las citas más importantes del calendario europeo profesional, algo al alcance de muy pocos destinos del mundo.

Por un lado, justo al ver la luz esta edición del periódico da inicio La Reserva de Sotogrande Invitational Golf, torneo perteneciente al Ladies European Tour. Precisamente en estos momentos en los que el deporte femenino vive un gran auge en España, sólo hace falta ver los canales especializados, Sotogrande aparece como sede del que se espera se convierta en uno de los mejores campeonatos del calendario LET. Imagen y promoción de garantía. Durante una semana, más de 120 jugadoras de primer nivel internacional disputarán un campeonato para el recuerdo en la zona. Todo ello, contando además como anfitriona, con toda una estrella internacional como es Annika Sorestam. Esperemos que gane alguien de “la armada” aunque nos conformamos con disfrutar de un gran espectáculo.

Algo parecido ocurrirá, con aún mayor repercusión internacional si es posible, en el plazo aproximado de un mes con el Andalucía Valderrama Masters (cuya presentación se acaba de anunciar para el próximo 21 de mayo en Madrid). Valderrama, Sotogrande y una vez más el golf coloca a este destino en los hogares de millones de personas.

Aunque una vez más solicitamos mayor énfasis y apoyo, tanto de iniciativas privadas como públicas, a todas estas propuestas destinadas a potenciar aún más la singularidad de un destino tan selecto como es Sotogrande. No deben quedarse en medias tintas las administraciones y grandes corporaciones ante estos proyectos. Y dotar de colaboración, financiación y apoyo institucional.

Y entre tanto, aparece el próximo 26 de mayo una nueva llamada a las urnas. Elecciones Municipales. Hasta siete formaciones políticas concurren en estos comicios y pese a dar sensación de renovación, hasta cuatro candidatos repiten respecto a 2015. La duda o cavilación recae, pese a la amplia oferta electoral a elegir, si postularse por la continuidad o el cambio. Ahí reside el gran debate de estas Municipales en San Roque. Pronósticos y quinielas las hay de todos los colores y según preguntes.

Si consultas el número de concejales que van a sacar, según partidos, saldrían cerca de 50 ediles para la corporación sanroqueña (sólo tiene 21, entiéndase la ironía). Sea cual sea el resultado, la hoja de ruta no debe variar: promoción del destino, búsqueda de la excelencia y preocupación por la dotación de servicios públicos. Las formas…, cada cual tiene las suyas, pero ése debe ser el camino. El 26 de mayo saldremos de duda respecto a la continuidad o al cambio.

The doubt or hesitate resides, despite the wide electoral choice to choose from, if whether to bet on continuity or change. That is the great debate of these Municipal Elections in San Roque. There are all kinds of predictions and bets, depending on who you ask.

If you consult the number of councillors that they are going to get, according to the parties, there will be close to 50 councillors for the San Roque corporation (it only has 21, if you can see the irony). El municipio de San Roque renueva todos los distintivos del pasado verano

Bandera Azul para: Torreguadiaro, Cala Sardina, Alcaidesa y Puerto Sotogrande Manuel Gil El municipio San Roque vuelve en 2019 a contar con tres playas con banderas azules: Alcaidesa-Faro (Torrecarbonera), Torreguadiaro y Cala Sardina. Así lo anunción la Asociación de Educación Ambiental y del Consumidor (Adeac), que concede estos galardones. Puerto Sotogrande sigue con su bandera azul, si bien se trata de una instalación

de titularidad privada. Asimismo, el Aula de la Naturaleza del Pinar del Rey también mantiene su distinción como Centro Azul.

Desde el Ayuntamiento destacan que, tras recuperarse el año pasado la bandera azul que había perdido Torrecarbonera, en 2019 se mantienen todas las que ondearon en 2018. Hay que recor-

In 2019 the municipality of San Roque once again has three beaches with blue flags: Alcaidesa-Faro (Torrecarbonera), Torreguadiaro and Cala Sardina. Doce preguntas para entender la nueva Entidad Urbanística de Conservación en La Marina de Sotogrande • Tras conseguir luz verde en el Pleno de la Corporación de San Roque surgen algunas dudas sobre la nueva operativa que tomará esta institución para el mantenimiento de la zona.

• La asociación ACUMAR, que agrupa a buena parte de las comunidades de la Marina, facilita a El Periódico de Sotogrande una serie de aclaraciones para comprender mejor este nuevo sistema.

1.- Qué es una Entidad Urbanística de Conservación (EUC)?

Es la figura urbanística que se aplica, en los casos como La Marina, en los que nos encontramos con una zona de alta cualificación, de alto interés turístico y alejada del núcleo municipal del que depende. En ella los propietarios, constituidos en Asamblea General y dirigidos por una Comisión Ejecutiva, colaboran con el Ayuntamiento, haciéndose cargo la conservación y mantenimiento de la zona. Esta figura se llama Entidad Urbanística Colaboradora de Conservación (EUC).

2.- Qué quiere decir esto para que lo entendamos los propietarios de La Marina?

Hasta el momento, la conservación y mantenimiento de La Marina ha estado bajo la responsabilidad de Conservación de la Marina SLU o lo que es lo mismo, para que nos entendamos, Sotogrande.

Esto lo hacían basados en la controvertida inscripción, de dudosa legalidad, del llamado REM, que realizaron en el Registro en el año 1995. A través del REM nos facturan los servicios, de los que se definieron responsables, sin permitir discutir ni su alcance, ni sus costes y permitiendo tan solo reclamaciones individuales de las incidencias.

A partir de la entrada en funcionamiento efectivo de la EUC, Sotogrande dejará de ser responsable de la conservación y seremos los PROPIETARIOS los únicos responsables de las labores de

conservación y mantenimiento de La Marina. Por esto, seremos los propietarios los que decidiremos; qué se hará, cómo se hará y con qué coste se hará, de forma que se mantenga e incluso se eleve el nivel de calidad de los servicios que actualmente tenemos.

Esto significa que el REM desaparecerá en ese momento, y no se emitirán más facturas por parte de Sotogrande, pasando a pagar los servicios necesarios a la EUC, como pagamos los servicios de la Comunidad de Propietarios.

Esta figura ya existe en la zona de nuestros vecinos de Parques de Sotogrande (al otro lado del rio) y funciona satisfactoriamente.

Todo esto ocurrirá cuando se lleven a cabo los trámites legales de constitución que incluyen como más significativos los siguientes: notificación, convocatoria, elección de comisión rectora, inscripción en Registro, contratación de servicios y entrada en operación, lo que posiblemente llevará desde ahora hasta fin del presente año.

3.- Quién pertenece a la Entidad Urbanística - A quién afecta la EUC? TODOS los propietarios de la zona en la que la EUC extiende su ámbito de actuación son miembros de pleno derecho y están obligados a ello. En nuestro caso, el ámbito de la EUC alcanza a cada uno de los propietarios de TODOS los edificios y parcelas existentes en la zona denominada Marina de Sotogrande. Suman un total de 28 edificios/urbanizaciones con comunidad de propietarios constituida en división horizontal, un edificio del Club Marítimo, un complejo en construcción (Pier – Taylor Wimpey), dos parcelas con edificabilidad asignada (Oficina Comercial de la entrada y Barbésula colindante con el Club Marítimo) y dos parcelas de zona de servicios portuarios (Naves de Invernaje y Varadero).

4.- Cómo se gestiona la Entidad Urbanística – Quién manda?

El órgano de dirección de la EUC es su Asamblea General, es

decir todos los propietarios. Para facilitar la gestión, los propietarios eligen periódicamente una Comisión Ejecutiva, compuesta por 1 presidente y 8 vocales, a los que se suma un décimo vocal nombrado por el Ayuntamiento, con voz pero sin voto. Esta Comisión Ejecutiva es la responsable de la ejecución y control de los presupuestos y de los acuerdos tomados por la Asamblea General.La primera Asamblea General será convocada por el Ayuntamiento y en ella se elegirá la primera Comisión Ejecutiva, a partir de ese momento será este órgano el responsable de organizar y gestionar los servicios que proporcionará la EUC. 5.- Qué servicios proporciona la EUC y por qué servicios pago?

La EUC es responsable de proporcionar todos aquellos servicios de conservación y mantenimiento de las zonas públicas de La Marina, así como aquellos que, por la mayoría de los propietarios, se acuerde que conviene realizar por el bien común del Complejo Urbanístico. Es necesario entender que actualmente el REM está proporcionando servicios que NO son propios de una EUC y por tanto tendrán que pasar a prestarse por las Comunidades de Propietarios ya constituidas. Estos son: la limpieza interior de los edificios, la jardinería de las zonas internas privadas, el traslado de la basura de los edificios hasta los puntos limpios de la urbanización y el mantenimiento de los extintores de los edificios y sus sistemas de alarma contra incendios. La Entidad Urbanística puede servir, si así se deseara por parte de los propietarios, de punto único para la petición de ofertas de forma que se aprovechen sinergias y abaraten costes, pero será responsabilidad de cada Comunidad de Propietarios la contratación y la gestión de dichos servicios. Por tanto, la EUC prestaría los siguientes servicios, que son por los que cada propietario pagará: Jardinería y Limpieza de todas las zonas públicas, Mantenimiento de la red de Alumbrado público, Mantenimiento de Viales públicos, Control de Plagas y Vigilancia del Conjunto Urbanístico.

6.- Cómo se calcula lo que paga cada propietario?

La cantidad que cada propietario paga a la EUC está basada en el principio de proporcionalidad de su propiedad respecto al total edificable de La Marina, según lo establecido en las escrituras de División Horizontal de cada edificio y en el PGOU respectivamente.

Esta cuota será el porcentaje del presupuesto de mantenimiento, aprobado anualmente por la Asamblea General, que cada propietario debe abonar.

Existen unas tablas de cuotas de participación para todos y cada uno de los inmuebles registrados en La Marina, por lo que cada propietario puede consultar el porcentaje que, por cada una de sus propiedades, le corresponde pagar como cuota de la EUC. 7.- Cómo afecta a los servicios que prestan las Comunidades de Propietarios?

Como consecuencia de lo explicado en el punto 5, las Comunidades de Propietarios deben adaptar sus presupuestos y su gestión a la nueva situación. Esto implicará el ajuste de los presupuestos de cada comunidad que podrían podrían incrementarse algo, pero evidentemente esos servicios no se pagarían a nadie más, como actualmente sucede con el REM. 8.- Qué pasa si no pago la cuota de la entidad urbanística?

Como ya se ha expuesto, el pago de la cuota de la Entidad Urbanística es de obligado cumplimiento para TODOS los propietarios.

Hemos de entender que, aunque la gestión de la Entidad la realicemos los propietarios, se trata de una institución pública, por lo que su gestión económica se rige por el ordenamiento jurídico de las administraciones públicas. Esto quiere decir que la falta de pago de las cuotas de la EUC se puede exigir, además de por la vía judicial, por la vía de apremio, con el consiguiente embargo en la vía ejecutiva. En una palabra, sigue el mismo camino que las multas o que el IRPF.

9.- Cómo puedo reclamar contra decisiones de la Entidad Urbanística?

Como en toda institución pública, las resoluciones y actuaciones de la EUC se pueden recurrir, por lo cauces legales establecidos, siendo el Ayuntamiento la Autoridad competente de resolución y en última instancia, los tribunales de lo contencioso administrativo.

10.- Qué pasará con el consumo y facturación del agua?

Como todos sabemos, la facturación del agua está actualmente incluida en el REM, independientemente del consumo que realicemos. Esto además de injusto, no se ajusta a la vigente legislación sobre el Agua. Con la desaparición del REM este tema parece que quedaría en una cierta clase de “limbo”.

Será responsabilidad de la Empresa Concesionaria del Agua el establecimiento de los contratos individualizados que permitan el cumplimiento de toda la normativa existente al respecto. Por esto es de suponer que dicha empresa contacte con cada propietario para regularizar la situación. En cualquier caso, este tema es TOTALMENTE AJENO a la EUC. 11.- Cómo quito la carga del REM de la inscripción registral de mis inmuebles Una vez esté constituida la EUC, el Ayuntamiento emitirá y enviará al Registro de la Propiedad una certificación por el que se declara extinto el REM. Este certificado debería servir para que el Registrador de la Propiedad pudiera anular la carga que constituye el REM en todos los inmuebles de La Marina, quedando instaurada la EUC como nueva forma de gestión del complejo.

Hasta el momento no se han obtenido más respuestas que esta, por lo que, no obstante, lo anterior, es posible que cada propietario tenga que responsabilizarse de anular su carga específica, en virtud de esta certificación. Una vez constituida la EUC se podrán dar más datos.

12.- Al final pagaré más que con el REM o menos que con el REM? El interés de todos se resume en una última pregunta: ¿Voy a pagar más o menos que antes? Para que tengamos una idea, la estructura de los costes que estamos pagando actualmente por el REM incluye partidas que NADA TIENEN QUE VER con el mantenimiento de La Marina. Además, se trata de unos servicios que están sujetos al IVA. Pues bien, con solo suprimir estas partidas y dejar exclusivamente aquellas partidas relacionadas directamente con los servicios que seguiríamos prestando desde la EUC, y que están exentos de IVA, el REM se reduciría en un 50%. Es cierto que algunos servicios del REM pasarían a ser prestados por las Comunidades y habría que pagar el agua de manera individualizada, en función del consumo, por lo que estos gastos se incrementarán respecto a la situación actual. Por los estudios realizados con los datos disponibles a la fecha, se estima que el conjunto de costes; Cuota EUC más Cuota Comunidad de Propietarios debería ser del orden de un 30% inferior (en función del inmueble y el edificio) a la actual suma REM más Comunidad de Propietarios.

Twelve questions to understand the new Entity Conservation Urban Planning in La Marina de Sotogrande • After getting a green light in the Plenary of the San Roque Corporation, some doubts about the new operation that this institution will take for the maintenance of the area.

• The ACUMAR association, which groups a large part of the Navy communities, facilitates, El Periódico de Sotogrande a series of clarifications to better understand this new system.

1.- What is an Urban Conservation Entity?

It is the urban planning concept that is applied in cases such as the Marina, where we find an area with a high rating, of high tourist interest and far from the municipal hub that forma a part of. In it, the owners, established in a General Assembly and managed by an Executive Commission, collaborate with the Council, and take charge of the conservation and maintenance of the area. This body is called the Urban Conversation Entity (UCE).

2.- What does this mean, in order for the owners in the Marina to understand it?

Until now, the conservation and maintenance of the Marina has been the responsibility of Conservación de la Marina SLU or in other words, to make it understandable, Sotogrande. This was carried out, based on the controversial registration, of dubious legality, of the so-called REM, they carried out in the Registry in 1995. Through the REM we are invoiced for services, that they were defined responsible for, without making it possible to discuss either its scope, or its costs, and only allowing individual claims of incidents.

From the effective entry into force of the UCE, Sotogrande will no longer be responsible for conservation and the OWNERS will be the sole parties responsible for the conservation and maintenance work of the Marina. Thus, the owners will be the ones who will decide; what will be done, how it will be done and at what cost it will be done, so that the level of quality of the services that we currently have will be maintained and even increased. This means that the REM will disappear at that point, and no more invoices will be issued by Sotogrande, we will pay for the services needed to the UCE, just as we pay for the services of the Community of Owners. This figure already exists in the area of our residents of Sotogrande Parks (at the other side of the river) and it works satisfactorily. All of this will happen when the legal establishment procedures are carried out which include the following as the most significant elements: notification, summons, election of a management commission, registration in Registry, contracting of services and entry into operation, which will possibly take from now until the end of this year.

3.- Who belongs to the Urban Entity - Who does the UCE affect?

ALL the owners in the area covered by the scope of action of the UCE are full members and are obliged to be so. In our case, the scope of the UCE covers each of the owners of ALL the buildings and existing plots in the area named Sotogrande Marina. It encompasses a total of 28 buildings/resorts with a community of owners constituted under a freehold regime, a Club Marítimo building, a complex under construction (Pier - Taylor Wimpey), two plots with assigned building potential (Shopping Centre at the entrance and Barbésula neighbouring with the Club Marítimo)

and two plots in the port service area (Winter Sheds and Slipway).

4.- How is the Urban Entity managed - Who governs it?

The management body of the UCE is its General Assembly, that is to say, all the owners. In order to manage it, the owners periodically choose an Executive Committee, comprised by 1 president and 8 members, along with a tenth member appointed by the Council, with a voice but without a vote. This Executive Committee is responsible for the implementation of the budgets and the agreements taken by the General Assembly.

The first General Assembly will be announced by the Council and at it the first Executive Committee will be chosen, from that time it will be this body that is responsible for organizing and managing the services that the UCE will provide.

5.- What services does the UCE provide and what services do I pay for?

The UCE is responsible for providing all the conservation and maintenance services in the public areas of the Marina, as well as those that, through a majority of owners, it is agreed that they should be carried out for the common good of the Urban Complex.

It is necessary to understand that the REM is currently providing services that are NOT those of a UCE and therefore they will have to be provided by the Community of Owners already established. These are: the interior cleaning of buildings, the landscaping of internal private zones, the transfer of the trash from buildings to the clean areas of the resort and the maintenance of the extinguishers in buildings and their fire alarm systems.

The Urban Conservation Entry can serve, if the owners want this, as the unique point for requesting bids in order to harness synergies and lower costs, but each Community of Owners will be responsible for contracting managing these services. Therefore, the UCE will provide the following services, which are those that each owner will pay for: Gardening and Cleaning of all the public areas, maintenance of the public lighting network, maintenance of public roads, pest control and surveillance of the urban complex.

6.- How is what each owner pays calculated?

The amount that each owner pays to the UCE is based on the principle of the proportionality of their property in relation to the total building space of the Marina, according to what is established in the Horizontal Division deeds of each building and in the land-use plan respectively. This fee will be the percentage of the maintenance budget, approved each year by the General Assembly, which each owner must pay. There are participation fee tables for all of the properties registered in the Marina, therefore each owner can consult the percentage that, for each of their properties, they need to pay as a fee to the UCE. 7.- How does it affect the services that the Communities of Owners provide?

As a consequence of what is explained in point 5, the Communities of Owners must adjust their budgets and their management to the new situation. This will imply adjusting the budgets of each community that may be increased a little, but evidently those services would not be paid to anyone else, which currently happens with the REM. 8.- What happens if I do not pay the fee of the urban entity?

As outlined, the payment of the Urban Conservation Entity fee is obligatory for ALL the owners. It must be understood that, although the management of the Entity is carried out by the ow-

ners, it is a public institution, therefore its economic management is governed by the legal ordinances of public administrations.

This means that the non-payment of the UCE fees, can lead to a demand, in addition to via the judicial pathway, through collection, with the subsequent embargo via enforcement. In one word, it follows the same path as fines or Personal Income Tax. 9.- How can I claim against decisions by the UCE? As with any public institution, the rulings and actions of the UCE can be appeals, via the legally established channels, and the Council is the competent authority on rulings and in the last instance, the contentious-administrative court are responsible.

10.- What will happen with the consumption and invoicing of water?

As we all know, the invoicing of water is currently included in the REM regardless of our consumption. In addition to being unfair, this does not comply with current water legislation. With the disappearance of the REM, it seems that this issue will remain a kind of limbo.

The Concessionary Company for Water will be responsible for establishing the individual contracts that will enable compliance with all the existing regulations on this matter. Therefore, it can be assumed that this company will contact each owner in order to regularize the situation. In any case this issue is TOTALLY UNRELATED to the UCE. 11.- How do I remove the charge of the REM from the property registry of my properties Once the UCE is established, the Council will issue and send the Property Registry a certification declaring that the REM has been terminated. This certificate should be used in order for the Property Registrar to cancel the charge that the REM imposes on all the properties in the Marina, and the UCE is being instated as a new form of managing the complex. Until now, no more responses that this have been obtained, therefore notwithstanding the above, it is possible that each owner will have to take responsibility for cancelling their specific charge, in accordance with this certification. Once the UCE has been established, more data can be provided.

12.- Will I ultimately pay more than with the REM or less than with the REM? The interest of everyone is summarised in a last question: Am I going to pay more or less than before? In order to get an idea, the structure of the costs that we are currently paying for the REM includes items that HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH the maintenance of the Marina. Also, these are services that are subject to VAT. However, by simply getting rid of these items and solely leaving these items directly relating to the services that we would continue to provide via the UCE, and which are exempt from IVA, the REM would be reduced by 50%. It is true that some services of the REM would be provided by the Communities and it would be necessary to pay the water in an individualised way, according to consumption, therefore these costs will increase in relation to the current situation.Through the studies carried out with the data available thus far, it is estimated that the overall cost; UCE Fee plus Community of Owner Fee should be around 30% lower (depending on the property and the building) to the current REM sum plus the Community of Owners. Imagen y servicios en la comunidad

Un vertedero, en el Centro Comercial de San Roque Club La zona comercial presenta un importante estado de abandono y dejadez en una de sus alas con la acumulación de basuras y restos, ante la crítica y denuncia de los comercios y usuarios de la zona Manuel Gil Una imagen vale mucho y más en un lugar que representa la excelencia y el lujo. Vecinos, usuarios y empresarios de la urbanización de San Roque Club, especialmente en su zona comercial, denuncian el preocupante estado de abandono y dejadez en una de sus alas ante la prolongada presencia de basuras, restos y desechos. Algo que resta un importante grado de presencia e higiene, además de suponer un importante peligro en el caso de un desafortunado e inesperado fuego.

Esta situación, no es nueva. En el verano de 2017, concretamente en agosto a través de las páginas

de la edición 334 de El Periódico de Sotogrande, este medio ya advertía de esta situación que sigue

prolongándose en el tiempo.

Uno de los grandes denunciantes de esta situación, además de ve-

cinos y establecimientos de la zona, se trataba de la asociación Verdemar Ecologistas en Acción Campo de Gibraltar, siempre a la vanguardia en todas estas protestas y movimientos. “La zona se encuentra abandonada entre basuras poniendo en serio riesgo al área de un posible incendio forestal”.

Este espacio, en particular, se encuentra situado justo al término de la zona comercial a la entrada de San Roque Club (en que operan desde hace años reconocidos establecimientos). Concretamente, se alarga por el carril del aparcamiento (ya de tierra hasta una especie de isleta final que se

encuentra abandonada y se utiliza como ‘rotonda’), adosado en ambos márgenes por una frondosa vegetación de matorral.

Además, de numerosos desechos y basuras con todo lo que ello provoca (mal olor, animales, suciedad, riesgo de incendio, etc.). Es fundamental acometer esta situación y tomar cartas a nivel de administración local con agilidad y prontitud. Además de sancionar todo aquello que estime oportuno.

El Vivero de Empresas de Pueblo Nuevo, cada vez más cerca Se espera que el edificio multiusos que acogerá hasta once dependencias para nuevos emprendedores.

Las obras se esperan estén acabadas para el verano Manuel Gil Los trabajos de rehabilitación de un edificio en desuso en Pueblo Nuevo de Guadiaro para la creación del primer vivero de empresas del Ayuntamiento de San Roque, ya se encuentran muy avanzados, y se espera que la obra finalice en verano. La reforma se ejecuta a cargo del Plan de Inversiones de 2017.

El alcalde de San Roque, Juan Carlos Ruiz Boix, y algunos ediles visitaron el estado de las obras. El primer edil aclaró que es un espacio que albergará hasta once despachos individuales y varias aulas, zonas comunes y un salón de actos, para ponerlas a disposición de

Ruiz Boix stated that this is an “action that surpasses 400,000 Euros in Valle del Guadiaro, more specifically in Pueblo Nuevo, in a place that brings together several companies, several self-employed workers and where the Council of San Roque is going to provide the young business people and entrepreneurs with new initiatives, with this centre as a business incubator”.

Electorales Manuel Gil Un programa electoral “ambicioso e ilusionante”, así lo califica el alcalde de San Roque y candidato a la reelección por parte del Partido Socialista sanroqueño, Juan Carlos Ruiz Boix. El actual primer edil enfila los comicios del próximo 26 de mayo con el objetivo de alcanzar el que sería su tercer mandato al frente del Consistorio. Unas elecciones en las que asegura llegar con “los deberes hechos” y “habiendo cumplido la palabra dada a los sanroqueños”, en el anterior mandato.

Respecto a los planes que guarda para el municipio, destaca un importante incremento en los Planes de Empleo durante el periodo 2019-2013; para Ruiz Boix es fundamental

vas; son otros de los grandes planes para este mandado”, apostilla Ruiz Boix.

Poniendo la mirada y el foco, a pequeña escala, en el Valle del Guadiaro. Destaca en especial la propuesta del actual alcalde sanroqueño de la construcción de “un Teatro Municipal en la

zona del Valle del Guadiaro con aforo para cerca de 400 personas”, afirma sobre una de las grandes bazas de su proyecto político. La creación de una Estancia Diurna para los mayores del Valle, un nuevo carril bici que conecte la carretera de Las Arenillas con

Guadiaro, otro sendero cerca del río Guadiaro, la continuidad de los planes de asfaltado, nuevos equipamientos en Torreguadiaro o una nueva área recreativa en San Enrique; son otros de los planes del PSOE para la zona.

Destacar también su planteamiento, en colaboración con el resto de administraciones, de lograr la conexión a través de un puente sobre el río Guadiaro entre barriadas.

Por último, Juan Carlos Ruiz Boix quiso hacer memoria de los logros conseguidos en estos cuatro años en el Valle del Guadiaro: el dinamismo y activismo para rechazar el fondeadero frente al litoral sanroqueño, el equipamiento del recinto ferial de Guadiaro, la puesta en marcha del comedor en el CEIP Barbésula de San Enrique, el asfaltado de más de cincuenta calles, la implantación de la Plaza Collado Tirado, la mejora de la plaza de La Bomba en San Enrique o las luminarias en la Av. Mar del Sur de Torreguadiaro, entre otros.

Ruiz Boix se presenta de nuevo a la Alcaldía de San Roque como una apuesta por la confianza, la estabilidad y el progreso del municipio.

Commitment, stability and progress The mayor of San Roque and candidate for re-election for PSOE, Juan Carlos Ruiz Boix, reviews for El Periódico de Sotogrande some of the achievements of his term of office and traces the general outlines for the next legislature.

A municipal theatre and new sporting and social facilities, are among the main projects for Valle del Guadiaro An “ambitious and exciting” electoral program, this is how the mayor of San Roque and candidate for re-election for the PSOE of San Roque, Juan Carlos Ruiz Boix views it. The current mayor is heading into the elections on 26 May with the aim of attaining what would be his third legislature in charge of the Council. He states that he heads into the elections “having done his homework” and “having fulfilled the promise he made to the people of San Roque”, in the previous mandate.

Ruiz Boix, sat down with El Periódico de Sotogrande, states that he fulfilled “more than 90% of all the projects we planned in 2015”. “The absolute majority, which shows the great trust that the people of San Roque placed in the PSOE, resulted in these four years of a stable, solvent and effective Government, capable of fighting for the interests of

the people of San Roque at all times” he added.

With regard to the plans he has for the municipality, he highlights a significant increase in the Employment Plans during the period 2019-2013: for Ruiz Boix it is crucial “to fight against unemployment, although it has been reduced by 30% during this term, it still remains high”. “The exten-

sion of social policies in order to assist people with fewer resources and a revamping of facilities and public services in all the neighbourhoods, are other pillars of this project” outlines the PSOE candidate.

“Promoting the construction of new social housing, encouraging the business community with discounts for businesses that

employ unemployed people from the municipality and the development of new social and sporting recreational areas; are other great plans for this term” states Ruiz Boix.

Putting the gaze and focus, on a small scale, in Valle del Guadiaro. What especially stands out is the proposal by the current mayor of San Roque to build “a Municipal Theatre in the Valle del Guadiaro area with a capacity of almost 400 people” he states about one of the major assets of his political project.

The creation of a Day Centre for the elderly people, a new bicycle path that connects the Las Arenillas road with Guadiaro, another path close to the Guadiaro river, the continuity of the paving plans, new facilities in Torreguadiaro and a new recreational area in San Enrique; are other plans of the PSOE for the area.

Also notable in its approach, in

collaborations with the other administrations, is creating a connection through a bridge over the Guadiaro river between neighbourhoods.

Lastly, Juan Carlos Ruiz Boix wanted to remember the achievements attained over these four years in Valle del Guadiaro; the dynamism and activism to reject the anchoring ground opposite the San Roque coastline, the facilities of fair enclosure of Guadiaro, the launch of the canteen at CEIP Barbésula de San Enrique, the surfacing of more than fifty streets, the implementation of Plaza Collado Tirado, the improvement of Plaza de La Bomba in San Enrique and the lights on Avenida Mar del Sur in Torreguadiaro, among others.

Ruiz Boix is standing again for the Mayoral Office of San Roque as a commitment to trust, stability and progress in the municipality.

Electorales Manuel Gil Marina García (Partido Popular San Roque) se presenta como la líder de la corriente del cambio y la alternancia política en el Ayuntamiento de San Roque. La popular asegura que el Consistorio lleva “viviendo ocho del crédito de anteriores gobiernos” y que llega el momento de las “soluciones reales”. El Periódico de Sotogrande se sienta con la candidata y Ramón Aranda, otro de los nombres propios de la lista popular. Aseguran que el municipio “no destaca especialmente por nada; ni brilla su limpieza, ni la proyección turística y mucho menos se aprovechan las capacidades económicas”..

García asegura que vienen a “impulsar importantes proyectos”. Destaca, como una de sus grandes puestas en valor “revitalizar el casco histórico”, el que asegura es todo un emblema y gran atractivo. Todo ello, afirma, irá acompañado de políticas que “fomenten el comercio y la hostelería, queremos ayudar con las licencias e incentivos fiscales a que los empresarios elijan San Roque”.

Respecto a la última legislatura ambos coinciden en su profundo malestar. “Los peores cuatro años que he vivido en política. Especialmente duros y fuertes, por las barbaridades sufridas en un salón de plenos.

El otro tema pendiente son los reparos, “son las advertencias de posibles ilegalidades, algo que debe ser una eventualidad y no algo habitual”, comenta Marina.

Ambos populares han sido durante los últimos cuatro años muy elogiados, por compañeros y contrarios, en sus labores en Mancomunidad al frente de Cultura y Hacienda. Marina García afirma que la Mancomunidad sigue siendo “la gran desconocida”. “Pero hemos conseguido que se hable de cultura, historia y con pocos recursos grandes logros: retomar revista Almoraima, jornadas culturales, jornadas de flamenco, presentado libros, escuela de radio, etc.”, sostiente.

Por su parte, Aranda afirma de San Roque y en especial, el desprestigio auna institución como es el Ayuntamiento por parte de un alcalde autoritario”, apostilla Ramón Aranda. “Nos hemos dedicado a estar en la calle y preocuparos por los vecinos, algo que no hace al actual alcalde. Incluso hemos que realizar una labor de investigación para poder asistir a actos porque nos privaban de las convocatorias”, sostiene la candidata.

En un giro de timón, se pone el foco en el apartado construc-

Conocemos hasta dónde puede llegar San Roque y tenemos los instrumentos para convertirlo en realidad”, dispone Marina. “Por clima, turismo, deporte o gastronomía, lo tenemos todo en San Roque. Eso hay que ponerlo en valor y atraer a gente. Eso crea movimiento de personas y riqueza”, añade.

Todo ello sin olvidar la creación de empleo. Ramón Aranda defiende que “hay que dar los instrumentos y formación adecuada para dar una salida laboral de garantías. Es fundamental contar con un centro de

formación profesional con criterio”, adaptado a las necesidades del mercado laboral local”, añade. ¿Y qué hay del Valle del Guadiaro? Los populares tienen claro propuestas a corto y medio plazo. “El turismo ya no es algo estival. Tenemos que ofrecer alternativas de ocio paralelas al deporte. Tenemos visitantes que conviven en la zona durante considerables ventanas del calendario e incluso se llegan a afincar en la zona. Es fundamental dotarlos de los servicios e infraestructuras necesarios y dar facilidades para fomentar generación de empleo y riqueza: ampliación de parque de aparcamientos (especialmente en Torreguadiaro), conservación de las playas durante todo el año, servicios anexos a las playas, carreteras, etc.”, defiende Aranda.

El apartado judicial también ha estado presente en los roces de la legislatura entre PP y PSOE. “Si hemos acudido a la justicia es porque no ha quedado otra opción. Por un lado,

The PP candidate states that the Council “has spent eight years living off the credit of previous governments” and the time has come for “real solutions”. El Periódico de Sotogrande sat down with the candidate and Ramón Aranda, another of the big names on the PP list. They state that the municipality “doesn´t especially stand out for anything; nor does its cleanliness dazzle, nor its tourist industry and economic capabilities are not harnessed at all” ...

García states that they have come to “back important projects”. She highlights, as one of her major enhancements “revitalizing the historic quarter”, which she states is a major emblem and great attraction. She states that all of this will be accompanied by policies that “encourage business and the hotel trade, we want to make business people choose San Roque through assistance with licenses and tax incentives”.

With regard to the last legislature both agree on their feeling of profound unease. “The worst four years I have experienced in politics. Especially tough and harsh, due to the nonsense suffered in the plenary sessions. We have had to tolerate insults, abuse and a lack of respect towards the opposition” outlines García. “The attitude of the plenary sessions has been hurtful to me as a resident of San Roque and especially, the discrediting of an institution like the Council by an authoritarian mayor” states Ramón Aranda. “We have devoted ourselves to being in the street and showing a concern for the residents, which the current mayor does not do. We have even had to carry out research work in order to attend acts because we were not provided with announcements” states the candidate.

In a change of direction, the focus has been put on construction and plans for the development of the municipality. We have surrounded ourselves with good people, that is my team. With enthusiasm, hope, commitment and committing to change. I

am standing with the best people and the best ideas. We know what San Roque can become and we have the instruments to make it a reality” outlines Marina. “The climate, tourism, sport and gastronomy, we have everything in San Roque. We have to showcase it and attract people. That creates movement of people and wealth” she added.

All without forgetting the creation of employment. Ramón Aranda states that “we need to provide the right tools and training to provide working opportunities with guarantees. It is essential to having a professional training centre with criteria” adapted to the needs of the local job market” he adds.

And what about Valle del Guadiaro?

The PP are clear about short and medium-term proposals. “Tourism is not just about the summer. We need to offer leisure alternatives alongside sport. We have visitors who live in the area for considerable periods of the year and even end up settling in the area. It is crucial to provide the necessary services and infrastructures and make things easier to create

employment and wealth; extension of parking spaces (especially in Torreguadiaro), preservation of beaches throughout the year, services annexed to the beaches, roads, etc.” states Aranda.

The legal aspect has also had a presence in the friction of the legislature between PP and PSOE. “If we have availed of the judicial authorities it is because there was no other choice.

On one hand, there is the claim we won regarding the contingency fund, many was used for employment plans that could not come out of that amount allocated for exceptional events that the municipality could experience”. The other pending issue are the criticisms, “there are warnings about legal measures, which needs to be a possible measure, and not something routine” states Marina.

Over the last four years, both PP members have been highly praised, by colleagues and opponents, for their work in the Association of Municipalities, in charge of Culture and the Tax Authority. Marina García states that the Association of Municipa-

lities remains the “great unknown”.

“However, we have got people to talk about culture, history, and with few resources we have had great achievements: starting up the Almoraima journal again, cultural open days, flamenco days, book presentations, a radio school, etc.” she states.

In turn, Aranda states that over this time it has been possible to “encourage the feeling of being a Province in the Association of Municipalities”.

“And on an economic level, we have achieved very important objectives.

Especially, we have lowered the political cost; there were 21 politicians on the payroll at the time of the PSOE and we have managed to reduce that to three politicians. This amounts to savings of close to four million Euros on salaries during the legislature” highlights Aranda, as well as different agreements with the team of staff.

Why vote for PP San Roque? “People should give me their vote of confidence. It is time to make a change and show the residents that there is another way of doing things” states Marina García, the PP candidate for San Roque.

Unos comicios locales, con urnas para todos los gustos Hasta siete formaciones políticas concurren el próximo 26 de mayo a las elecciones municipales en San Roque. Cuatro de los candidatos repiten respecto a 2015

Manuel Gil El municipio de San Roque se prepara para los comicios electorales del próximo 26 de mayo.

Una cita clave para los siguientes cuatro años, como en todos los consistorios, en el que hasta siete formaciones políticas concurren con la intención de sacar el máximo número de votos que se traduzcan en su representación de concejales en la corporación. Recortar que en el Ayuntamiento de San Roque, el número de concejales con representación suman un total de 21, por lo que la mayoría absoluta se sitúa tras rebasar la línea de los once ediles en la corporación.

En concreto, los partidos que se presentan son: PSOE, Partido Popular, Ciudadanos, San Roque 100x100, Adelante San Roque, PIVG y VOX. Un total de siete grupos políticos que buscarán contar con representación,

algo que podría darse la circunstancia, teniendo en cuenta las últimas previsiones y sondeos de los propios partidos.

En el caso del partido socialista, Juan Carlos Ruiz Boix (actual alcalde de San Roque), busca revalidar su liderazgo y mantener

la alcaldía en la que sería su tercera legislatura consecutiva al frente del Consistorio. Una victoria a la que tratará, por segundas elecciones consecutivas, de evitar la candidata popular Marina García. Hasta ahora, su contrapeso en la oposición municipal.

Ambos repiten candidatura y se acompañan en sus listas, en gran medida, con una buena parte de su equipo de confianza aunque con algunas incorporaciones.

Pedro Miguel Mancha será el candidato de Ciudadanos a la

Alcaldía y Mayte García será la representante y líder de San Roque 100x100, partido de nuevo cuño y que trata de recuperar el espacio político que en su día dejase el ya extinto USR. Julio Labrador repite candidatura con Adelante San Roque (en la legislatura anterior concurrió con San Roque Sí Se Puede, logrando hasta dos representantes en la corporación). Como también repite Jesús Mayoral, en una ocasión más, al frente del Partido Independiente del Valle del Guadiaro (PIVG), con el objetivo de sumar un concejal más al que ya obtuvo en 2015. Por último, Rafael García Buitrago, será el encargado de estrenar candidatura por parte de VOX en los comicios locales sanroqueños.

Todo listo para el próximo 26 de mayo y la cita con las urnas.

El PSOE gana en San Roque las Generales con el 33,22% de los votos El PSOE, en la línea del resultado global, venció con rotundidad en San Roque en las elecciones generales, tras obtener el 33,22% de los votos, mientras que Ciudadanos se alzó como segunda fuerza más votada, con el 20,21%, el Partido Popular el 15,40%, Vox con el 14,12%, y Unidas Podemos con un 12,88%.

Estos datos corresponden a los resultados del 100% escrutado en el municipio, según la página oficial del Ministerio del Interior. En cuanto a la participación, se situó en un 67,24%, que contrasta con el 61,95%

With regard to the elections in June 2016, it is necessary to state that the voting percentage then stood at 61.95%, with the PSOE attaining 33.29% of votes, while the PP got 32.21%, Podemos 17.97% and Ciudadanos 13.22%.

“Sabido es que los electores votan con un criterio más práctico cuando la votación atañe a sus intereses más cercanos...”

Entre urnas e intereses Siendo tan cercanas, las jornadas electorales a las que estamos convocados los españoles en la primavera de 2019 resultan diferentes en dos sentidos.

Por un lado, las próximas elecciones municipales, autonómicas y europeas, del 26 de mayo, podrán verse condicionadas por los resultados de las elecciones generales del pasado 28 de abril. Y, por otro lado, las consideraciones económicas tendrán una mayor relevancia.

Las elecciones generales, aparte de presentar un país dividido a derecha e izquierda, aportaron varias novedades: premiaron al PSOE, fortaleciendo a Pedro Sánchez, castigaron a PP y a Podemos, decepcionaron a Vox, y premiaron a Ciudadanos, facilitando a Albert Rivera su estrategia de ocupar el liderazgo del centro derecha en España.

Es posible que los votantes tengan esto en cuenta el 28 de abril, y es seguro que los políticos lo tendrán muy en cuenta, empezando por el propio Sánchez, que lógicamente aspira a gobernar en solitario, y no tener que padecer todos los costes políticos que comportarán sus concesiones tanto a los independentistas como a la ultraizquierda de Pablo Iglesias. Pero en todos los partidos las próximas elecciones serán pondera-

das en clave política nacional, y como argumento para las estrategias de cada formación, incluyendo el cuestionamiento de sus principales dirigentes.

Sabido es que los electores votan con un criterio más práctico cuando la votación atañe a sus intereses más cercanos.

De ahí que la economía sea un punto al que prestarán especial atención el 26 de mayo.

Será también revelador el resultado de Podemos, precisamente porque el tiempo transcurrido ya permite a los ciudadanos evaluar la gestión de los llamados “alcaldes del cambio”. No cabe tampoco olvidar la cuestión de los impuestos, porque todo indica que los contribuyentes deberemos prepararnos para nuevos golpes de Hacienda, lo que probablemente aumente nuestra sensibilidad con respecto a los impuestos municipales y autonómicos.

En cuanto a Europa, se repite estos días el habitual lamento de que debería importar a los ciudadanos más de lo que en realidad lo hace —pero otro tanto cabría decir de los partidos políticos.

Y así, entre urnas e intereses, va pasando esta primavera electoral, que nos dejará otra vez en el verano, cuando podremos descansar. También de las elecciones.

With regard to Europe, at present there is the regular complaint that it should matter more to citizens than what it does in reality, but this could also be said of the political parties.

Dos nuevas imágenes completan el 250 aniversario de la Torre de la Iglesia Los Barrios está de celebración durante este 2019. La Torre de la Iglesia cumple su 250 aniversario desde su construcción que comenzó en 1766 y se finalizó en 1769. Un amplio programada de actividades y eventos está previsto durante todo el calendario pero destaca uno en especial, celebrado hace sólo unos días, como fue la bendición de las imágenes de San Isidro Labrador y la Virgen del Rosario, Santos Patrones de Los Barrios, que presiden ya ambos lados de las hornacinas de la Torre. Una bendición a la que acudieron decenas de vecinos para ver las nuevas imágenes en piedra, obra del ilustre escultor barreño Bernardo Martínez.Un acto histórico en la vida del pueblo de Los Barrios, “después de 250 años de construidas las hornacinas de la torre, albergan por fin las imágenes proyectadas en su momento por el fraile constructor de la torre, al fallecer, la obra quedó inconclusa. Nuestra generación tiene el honor de ser testigo de la conclusión de la obra, gestada en las manos del escultor barreño Bernardo Martínez”, apuntó el párroco Yelman Bustamante en su discurso. La Torre de la Iglesia tiene 31 metros de altura y es de estilo ecléctico, donde se mezclan elementos clásicos, góticos, mudéjares, herrerianos y barrocos. Fue construida en sillería de piedra arenisca por Fray José de San Miguel, hermano lego y luego conventual de San José del Cuervo. Se trata de uno de los grandes monumentos del municipio.

Una cita muy especial con el desembarco del LET en Sotogrande, en una cita que todo apunta se repetirá en próximos años y que además cuenta con la figura de la mega-estrella Annika Sorestam como anfitriona. El torneo cuenta con una bolsa de premios cercana a los 300.000 euros.

Entre los nombres propios del torneo destaca, de manera superlativa, la escocesa Catriona Matthew, capitana del combinado europeo en la próxima Solheim Cup y sin duda, una de las principales jugadores de escaparate internacional. Un plantel muy competitivo para el torneo en La Reserva que cuenta,

desde el punto de vista extranjero, con jugadoras como Beth Allen, Becky Brewerton, Diksha Dagar, Meghan MacLaren, Marianne Skarpnord, Becky Morgan, Camile Chevalier o Florentyna Parker, entre otras.

Respecto al combinado nacional, además de grandes nombres, destacar a la guadiareña María Parra, invitada al torneo y que llega sólo horas más tarde de conquistar en Atlanta (EE. UU.), su primer torneo del Symetra Tour. Destaca la presencia de grandes jugadoras como Noemí Jiménez, Luna Sobrón, Carmen Alonso, Silvia Bañón, Elia Folch, María Hernández o Mireia Prat.

Sotogrande is conquered by women´s golf La Reserva de Sotogrande Invitational Golf is here, the Ladies European Tour t ournament which is bringing together more than 120 of the world´s best female golfers from 16 to 19 May as they battle for a prize purse worth almost 300,000 Euros.

It is time for La Reserva de Sotogrande, it is time for women´s golf. The Ladies European Tour is coming to the resort alongside La Reserva de Sotogrande Invitational Golf, a qualifying tournament for the continental circuit that brings together a total of 126 top level players from 16 to 19 May in the competitive Sotogrande course. It is a very special event with the arrival of the LET in Sotogrande, at an event that looks like it will be repeated in future years and that also involves the super-star Annika Sorestam as the host. The tournament has a prize purse worth almost 300,000 Euros.

Among the major names at the tournament it is especially worth highlighting the Scottish player Catriona Matthew, cap-

tain of the European side at the next Solheim Cup and undoubtedly, one of the main players on the international scene.

There is a very competitive line-up for the tournament at La Reserva which includes, in terms of foreign involvement, players such as Beth Allen,

El Periódico de Sotogrande se sienta con la jugadora guadiareña para analizar su temporada y carrera hasta el momento, así como sus opciones en La Reserva de Sotogrande Invitational Golf Manuel Gil Muy buenas María, encantados de tenerte otra vez por aquí. Y además, compitiendo en un torneo LET en Sotogrande. ¿Cuánto tiempo hacía que no disputabas un campeonato en la zona? Desde amateur, imagino…

El placer es mío, como siempre.

Ahora que lo dices, La verdad es que hace bastante tiempo que no disputaba un torneo en Sotogrande, podría decir que desde la Copa de las Naciones en mi último año, que además se jugó en La Reserva por la remodelación del Real Club de Golf Sotogrande. Sí jugué el Open de España en Lauro, que está relativamente cerca, pero no es lo mismo que jugar en casa. ¿Cómo está siendo la temporada?

Estoy muy contenta. Llevamos cinco torneos en Symetra y he pasado el corte en todos, algo que es muy buena señal. Estoy recuperando las sensaciones dentro del campo y es algo que he buscado durante un año.

Lástima que se escapase el Santander Golf Tour (en Lauro Málaga), el pasado abril. ¿Te quedas con lo positivo y tu nivel competitivo?

Sí, fue una pena pero salí muy contenta del torneo. Hacía tiempo que no alcanzaba un juego tan regular y volví a sentirme muy cómoda en el campo.

La imagen de tu abrazo final, tras el segundo hoyo de desempate con Nuria Iturrioz (que recientemente repitió título en Marruecos), ha dado la vuelta por el universo golfístico.

Nos conocemos desde hace años, siempre hemos competido juntas y no hay dudas sobre el nivel de juego que tiene [Nuria Iturrioz]. Hemos vivido juntas dos años en Madrid, durante la etapa en la Blume, y además somos buenas amigas. Jugando un pla-

yoff puede ganar cualquiera y siempre es bueno dar ejemplo a los más pequeños sobre el juego limpio y compañerismo. ¿Cómo marcha la aventura americana en Symetra Tour?

Es una temporada larga, con 23 torneos, y estamos sólo al inicio.

Ya os contaré, más tranquila, las aventuras para llegar de un torneo a otra, hasta con viajes de más de doce horas en coche [ríe].

“El principal objetivo para la temporada es entrar en el top 10 del ranking en Symetra y recuperar la tarjeta de la LPGA” La competición, al otro lado del Atlántico, es tremendamente exigente….

Juegues en Europa o EE. UU., cuando llegas al mundo profesional, todo cambia. Todas nos tomamos el deporte ya como un trabajo y luchamos por algo más que un trofeo. El nivel es increíble y hay que hacer muchos birdies para pelear por puestos importantes.

Llega La Reserva Invitational Golf, ¿qué te parece la apuesta de Sotogrande por traer un evento de gran nivel profesional del Ladies European Tour?

Para mí, es una de las mejores zonas de Europa. Vivo en Guadiaro y todo esa parte es increíble, tenemos unos campos de golf espectaculares y el destino es perfecto. Hoteles, buenos restaurantes, playa, buen tiempo, ¿qué más se puede pedir? [sonríe]. ¿Supone un respaldo al golf femenino en la zona?

Siempre es positivo que el tour europeo siga mejorando y creciendo. Me parece una fantástica idea traer un campeonato a la

zona de Sotogrande porque tenemos muchísimas jugadores jóvenes que quieren cumplir su sueño de ser profesionales y de esta forma pueden encontrar la inspiración y motivación de seguir luchando por ello. ¿Llegas en un buen momento? ¿Te ves luchando por posiciones importantes?

Estoy jugando muy bien, en estos últimos torneos, pero nunca se sabe. El golf es un deporte que puede cambiar de un día para otro. ¿A quién debemos seguir y no perder ojo?

Todas las jugadoras que estamos en el torneo podemos ganarlo y tenemos opciones para ello. El plantel es muy competitivo.

Somos fieles seguidores tuyos en las Redes Sociales. ¿Te sigues escapando para venir a Guadiaro cada vez que puedes?

Por supuesto, siempre es bueno volver a casa y cada vez que tengo la oportunidad me vuelvo a Guadiaro para estar con toda la familia. Se les echa mucho de menos al otro lado del charco. ¿Qué objetivos te has marcado, finalmente, para este 2019?

El principal objetivo es finalizar el Top 10 del ranking de Symetra y lograr el recuperar la tarjeta de la LPGA. ¿Y para el próximo año?

Esperemos que todo marche bien y estemos en la LPGA. Muchas gracias María y mucha suerte. No dudes que estaremos siguiéndote en cada hoyo estos días en La Reserva.

Gracias a vosotros, siempre me encanta pasar un rato con El Periódico de Sotogrande. Un fuerte abrazo a toda la comunidad del Valle del Guadiaro.

María Parra logra su primer título en el Symetra Tour María Parra, a lo grande. Poco a poco venía anunciando que estaba recuperando su mejor nivel, de hecho había tenido ya algunos buenos resultados esta temporada en el Symetra Tour, un muy buen Open de España, y confirmótras ganar el IOA Invitational, torneo de la segunda división del circuito americano, disputado en el recorrido Atlanta National Golf Club. La victoria de Parra fue especialmente merecida, luchada y emocionante. Se impuso en un playoff en el que salieron a jugar nada menos que cuatro golfistas y donde hicieron falta cinco hoyos. Parra se impuso en el último hoyo con un eagle, después de jugar un desempate espectacular. Hay que destacar que en cada uno de los cinco hoyos pateó ella la última para ganar el torneo, siempre para eagle o birdie. Un espectáculo. Con este triunfo, Parra encarrila su ascenso al LPGA, el gran objetivo de la temporada. Las diez primeras del orden de mérito del Symetra cuando acabe el año conseguirán la tarjeta de la primera división. Un triunfo no es definitivo, pero allana muchísimo el camino.

María Parra attains first title on Symetra Tour

María Parra, in great form. Little by little, she announced her return to top form, indeed, she had already had some good results this season on the Symetra Tour, a very goof Spanish Open performance, and she confirmed it after winning the IOA Invitational, the second division tournament of the American circuit, held at the Atlanta National Golf Club course.

Parra´s victory was especially well-deserved, hard-fought and exciting. She won in a playoff in which no fewer than four players took part and where five holes were needed. Parra won on the last hole with an eagle, after playing a spectacular playoff. It is worth highlighting that at each of the five holes she hit last in order to win the tournament, always for an eagle or birdie. Spectacular.

With this win, Parra is on the path to being promoted to the LPGA, the great objective of the season. The top ten ranked players in the Symetra order of merit at the end of the year will obtain a card for the first division. A triumph that is not definitive, but it really smooths the way ahead.

“Bringing an LET tournament to Sotogrande will inspire a lot of young female golfers in the area” El Periódico de Sotogrande sat down with the Guadiaro player to analyse her season and career up until now, as well as her chances at La Reserva de Sotogrande Invitational Golf Hi María, delighted to have you here again. And also, competing in an LET tournament in Sotogrande. How long has it been since you competed in a championship in the area? Not since you were an amateur, I imagine...

As always, the pleasure is mine.

Now that you say it, the truth is that it has been quite a long time since I played a tournament in Sotogrande, you could say since the Nation´s Cup in my last year, which was also played at La Reserva due to the remodelling of Real Club de Golf Sotogrande.

Yes, I played at the Spanish Open, in Lauro, which is relatively close, but it isn´t the same as playing at home.

How has this season been?

I am very happy. We have had five tournaments on the Symetra Tour and I have made the cut on all of them, which is a good sign. I am getting my feel back on the course and that is something I have sought over the last year.

It is a shame that you missed out on the Santander Golf Tour (at Lauro, Malaga) last April.

Have you remained positive and maintained your competitive level?

Yes, it was a shame but I left the tournament very happy. It had been a while since I last played so consistently and I once again felt very comfortable on the course.

The image of your hug at the end, after the second hole of the playoff with Nuria Iturrioz (who recently retained the title in Morocco), has spread through the golfing world.

We have known one another for years, we have always competed together and there is no doubt about her playing level (Nuria Iturrrioz). We lived together for two years in Madrid, during the Blume time, and we are also good friends. Playing a playoff, anyone can win and it is always good to give an example to young players about clean play and camaraderie.

How is the American adventure going on the Symetra Tour?

It is a long season, with 23 tournaments, and we are just at the start.

Sometime I will tell you, in a more relaxed way, the adventures to get from one tournament to the next, even with car trips of up to twelve hours (laughs).

Competition, on the other side of the Atlantic, is extremely demanding...

Whether playing in Europe or the United States, when you reach the professional world, everything changes. We all view sport as a job and we are fighting for something more than a trophy. The level is incredible and it is necessary to make a lot of birdies to battle for important spots.

La Reserva Invitational Golf, is around the corner. What do you think of the commitment of Sotogrande to bring an important professional Ladies European Tour event here?

For me, it is one of the best areas of Europe. I live in Guadiaro, and all that part is incredible, we have

spectacular golf courses and the destination is perfect. Hotels, good restaurants, a beach, good weather, what more could you ask? (smiling).

Is it backing for women´s golf in the area?

It is always positive for the European tour to keep improving and growing. It seems like a fantastic idea to bring a championship to the Sotogrande area because we have lots of young players who want to fulfil their dream of being professionals and thus they can find the inspiration and motivation to keep fighting for that.

Are you arriving in good form?

Can you see yourself battling for top positions?

I have been playing very well, in the last few tournaments, but you never know. Golf is a sport that can change from one day to the next.

Who should we follow and not miss out on?

All the players that are in the tournament can win it, everyone has a

chance of winning. The line-up is very competitive.

We are loyal followers of you on Social Networks. Do you continue to get away to come to Guadiaro whenever you can?

Of course, it is always good to come home and whenever I get the chance I return to Guadiaro to be with all my family. I really miss them on the other side of the pond.

What goals have you ultimately set yourself for 2019?

The main goal is to finish in the Top 10 of the Symetra ranking and win back my card for the LPGA tour.

And what about next year?

Hopefully, everything will go well and I´ll be back on the LPGA tour.

Manuel Gil ¿Fue sencillo convencer a Annika Sorenstam para que fuese anfitriona del torneo?

Cuando compartes una misma pasión y tienes muy claro la importancia de apostar por un proyecto como éste, con unos valores determinados, es muy fácil entenderse. Ideales como la búsqueda de la excelencia o la familia también son fundamentales para Annika y precisamente son conceptos claves en La Reserva.

De la mano de Annika pretendemos convertir La Reserva de Sotogrande Invitational en uno de los torneos más esperados cada año en LET y ojalá llegue a convertirse en algo similar a lo que ocurre en Muirfield Village ,con Jack Nicklaus, o Bay Hill, con Arnold Palmer. Queremos que tanto el campeonato, como su vinculación, sean algo de futuro.

¿Qué destacaría del torneo?

Llevamos tiempo trabajando en su organización, para que sea impecable. Hacemos un gran esfuerzo para que esté todo coordinado y funcione a la perfección.

Aún no he podido conocer las impresiones de las jugadores pero el campo está en unas condiciones inmejorables, veremos cómo se desenvuelven en nuestros greenes. Pero lo más importante es que estamos deseando disfrutar de una fantástica semana de golf y que las familias vean un gran espectáculo en La Reserva. ¿Es un pilar clave en La Reserva esa búsqueda de la excelencia?

Así es. Queremos que nuestros visitante conozcan La Reserva

When you share a same passion and are very clear about the importance of committing to a project like this, with specific values, it is very easy to understand one another. Ideals such as the pursuit of excellence and family are also crucial for Annika and indeed they are key concepts at La Reserva. Alongside Annika we aim to turn La Reserva de Sotogrande Invitational into one of the most eagerly-awaited tournaments on the LET each year and I hope it can become something similar to what happens at Muirfield Village, with Jack Nicklaus, or Bay Hill, with Arnold Palmer. We want the championship, as well as its relationships, to be something for the future.

What would you highlight about the tournament?

We have spent time working on its organization, in order to make it impeccable. We make a great

effort for everything to be coordinated and function perfectly. I have not yet been able to find out the impressions of the players but the course is in unbeatable condition, we will see how they get on with our greens. But most importantly, we want to enjoy a fantastic week of golf and allow families to see a great spectacle at La Reserva.

Is a key pillar at La Reserva that pursuit of excellence?

It is. We want visitors to discover

La Reserva Club and see that here they can enjoy a series of activities and facilities like nowhere else in the world. We want them the character of La Reserva to rub off of them, as it is a family community and for them to see that we have outstanding activities and experiences throughout the year. Our aim is for families to enjoy a residential community that is unique in every aspect. And of course, we want them to have fun at The Beach Club.

The Challenge recauda 5.000 euros para la lucha contra el cáncer El duelo por parejas de Catriona Matthew-Noemí Jiménez y Manuel Piñero-Jean Van de Velde deja cinco birdies que se traducen en la aportación para AECC La Asociación Española Contra el Cáncer fue la gran ganadora del The Challenge en una interesante, divertida y solidaria “batalla entre sexos” que enfrentó a Catriona Matthew y Noemí Jiménez contra Manuel Piñero y Jean Van de Velde. El buen juego de ambas parejas se reflejó en la cantidad recaudada en este entretenido duelo, ya que los cinco birdies conseguidos se convirtieron en 5000 que irán destinados a las arcas de la AECC. Al final, fue la pareja masculina la que se impuso por dos hoyos de ventaja, no sin antes someterse a las originales pruebas de habilidad que planteó el árbitro para resolver los empates que se iban produciendo. Los participantes hicieron las delicias de los asistentes con su depurada técnica y sus malabarismos, y consiguieron que el público disfrutara de cada instante de este duelo a seis hoyos.

El torneo contará con una amplia cobertura televisiva internacional y los espectadores de nuestro país lo disfrutarán en directo durante los cuatro días a través de Movistar Golf, Teledeporte y Andalucía TV. Está prevista, además, la presencia de más de medio centenar de medios acreditados durante los días del torneo y cuya repercusión llegue a más de 400 millones de hogares, como ocurre en el Andalucía Valderrama Masters de Golf, gracias a los medios de difusión y los diferentes portales digitales e Internet.

Modificación Impuesto sobre Sucesiones y Donaciones y otras novedades fiscales en Andalucía

En el Boletín Oficial de la Junta de Andalucía del día 11 de abril se ha publicado el Decreto-ley 1/2019, de 9 abril, que introduce importantes novedades en el Impuesto sobre Sucesiones y Donaciones, en el Impuesto sobre la Renta de las Personas Físicas (“IRPF”) y en el Impuesto sobre Transmisiones Patrimoniales y Actos Jurídicos Documentados (“ITPAJD”).

Dicha norma entra en vigor desde su publicación, si bien se encuentra pendiente de convalidación por el Parlamento de Andalucía.

La modificación más relevante se ha llevado a cabo en materia del Impuesto sobre Sucesiones y Donaciones, estableciendo una Bonificación del 99% para las herencias y donaciones entre parientes directos.

Dicha bonificación afecta a las herencias y donaciones entre cónyuges, descendientes y ascendientes y asimilados.

En los supuestos de adquisiciones mortis causa se mantiene la reducción aprobada con efectos desde el 1 de enero de 2018, que supone la exención de un millón de euros de base imponible por cada heredero siempre que el patrimonio preexistente de este no supere la cantidad de un millón de euros con carácter previo a la adquisición hereditaria. En estos supuestos no resulta siquiera a ingresar el 1% no bonificado.

Para la aplicación de la bonificación a las donaciones se exige su formalización en documento público, debiéndose justificar, además, su origen en el caso de las donaciones en metálico u otros activos líquidos.

Otras de las novedades aprobadas son las siguientes: • Reducción del tramo autonómico del IRPF Se establece, mediante disposición transitoria, una rebaja de la

escala autonómica aplicable a la base liquidable general del IRPF reduciendo dicho gravamen en todos sus tramos, si bien dicha medida se llevará a cabo de forma progresiva a lo largo de los ejercicios 2019 a 2023. En concreto, se reducen los actuales ocho tramos con tipos de entre el 10% y el 25,5% a solo cinco tramos, que van del 9,5% al 22,5%.

De este modo, la escala autonómica andaluza se iguala a la escala estatal, fijando el tipo impositivo máximo del tributo en el 22,5%, esto es 3 puntos menos que el actual tipo máximo.

La reducción del tipo establecido para el primer tramo de la tarifa (hasta 12.450 euros) tendrá efectos ya desde el presente ejercicio 2019, rebajándose los restantes tramos en los próximos cuatro ejercicios.

• Beneficios fiscales relativos al ITPAJD En el ITPAJD se amplía a las familias numerosas la aplicación de los actuales tipos reducidos previstos para la adquisición de la vivienda habitual por menores de 35 años y personas con discapacidad.

De este modo, en el supuesto de las familias numerosas, y siempre que el valor real de la vivienda por cada adquirente no supere los 180.000 euros, se reduce el tipo de Transmisiones Patrimoniales Onerosas del 8% al 3,5% y el de Actos Jurídicos Documentados del 1,5% al 0,1%.

Por otro lado, se introduce una rebaja del tipo impositivo en Actos Jurídicos Documentados para empresarios y profesionales que adquieran inmuebles para el desarrollo de su actividad renunciando a la exención en el Impuesto del Valor Añadido. En tales casos, el tipo del 2% vigente hasta la fecha se reduce hasta el 1,5%.

Modification of the Tax on Inheritance and Donations and other new tax features in Andalusia

On 11 April, the Official Bulletin of the Regional Government of Andalusia published the Decree-Law 1/2019, of 9 April, introducing important new additions to the Tax on Inheritance and Donations, the Personal Income Tax (“IRPF”) and the Tax on Property Conveyances and Documented Legal Acts (“ITPAJD”).

This legislation has been in force since its publication, however it is pending validation by the Parliament of Andalusia.

The most significant modification was made to the Tax on Inheritance and Donations, establishing a Discount of 99% for inheritances and donations between direct relatives.

This discount affects inheritances and donations between spouses, descendants, ascendants and relatives.

In the cases of mortis causa acquisitions, the approved reduction is maintained with effect from 1 January 2018, which entails the exemption of a taxable base of one million Euros for each inheritor provided that their pre-existing assets do not exceed the amount of one million Euros before the acquisition of the inheritance. In these cases, it isn´t even necessary to pay the1% not discounted.

For the application of the discount on donations it is necessary to formalize them in a public deed, and it is also necessary to accredit their origin in the case of donations in cash or other liquid assets.

Other new additions approved are as follows: • Reduction of regional tranche of Personal Income Tax (IRPF) Via a transitory provision, a reduction of the regional scale applicable to the generable taxable base of the Income Tax has been applied, reducing this burden in all

the tranches, however this measure will be carried out progressively over the financial years 2019 to 2023.

Specifically, the current eight tranches with rates of between 10% and 25.5% have been reduced to just five ranging from 9.5% to 22.5%.

Thus, the Andalusian regional scale equals the state scale, establishing the maximum tax rate of the ta at 22.5%, that is to say 3 percent less than the current maximum rate.

The reduction of the established rate for the first tranche of the rate (12,450 Euros) will come into effect from this financial year 2019, and the remaining tranches will be lowered over the next four financial years.

• Tax benefits relating to Tax on Property Conveyances and Documented Legal Acts (“ITPAJD”) With the Tax on Property Conveyances and Documented Legal Acts (“ITPAJD”), the application of the current reduced rates provided or the acquisition of the regular properties by people under the age of 35 and people with disabilities.

Thus, in the case of large families, and provided that the real value of the property for each purchaser does not surpass 180,000 Euros, the rate on Property Conveyances has been reduced from 8% to 3.5% and that of Documented Legal Acts has been reduced by 1.5% to 0.1%.

On the other hand, a reduction of the tax rate has been made to Documented Legal Acts for business people and professionals who purchase properties to carry out their activity, waiving the exemption on Value Added Tax. In such cases, the 2% rate in force until now has been reduced to 1.5%.

Rumbo a Riviera Maya, desde Sotogrande Fernando Padrón hace las maletas para convertirse en manager general de los dos campos de golf del Riviera Maya Club, tras su paso como director de operaciones en el Real Club Valderrama

Manuel Gil ¿Cómo fueron tus inicios y de dónde llega tu vinculación profesional al golf?

Siempre he estado ligado a la gestión deportiva. Trabajé en marketing con el Fórum Valladolid (equipo de baloncesto de ACB) y también estuve gestionando centros de fitness pero la realidad es que llego de casualidad al golf. Siendo socio y jugador habitual en el RACE de Madrid, por diferentes circunstancias, me vengo a Málaga a estudiar un Master en dirección de campos de golf.

Tras pasar por el Parador de Málaga, Golf Villamayor (en Salamanca) y Los Ángeles de San Rafael, apareció la oportunidad de venir como Director de Operaciones a Real Club Valderrama (2015). Algo que acepté al instante. ¿Su paso por el Real Club Valderrama ha sido clave en tu carrera?

Absolutamente, he tenido la gran suerte de vivir y disfrutar de unos años fantásticos en Valderrama. He aprendido muchísimo y conocido

nuevas formas de gestión. Además, he tenido la fortuna de coincidir con Javier Reviriego (Director general de Valderrama), que siempre me ha apoyado en un aspecto clave como es la formación, llegando a conseguir mi titulación CCM (Certified Club Manager). Algo que me ha abierto más posibilidades de crecer profesionalmente.

Y toca hacer las maletas…

Emprendo un nuevo rumbo, un nuevo reto pero es un desafío que me atrae mucho. No es sencillo dejar un club como Valderrama pero entiendo que era el momento, eso se unía a que siempre he tenido el deseo de poder trabajar fuera y vivir la experiencia internacional. Concretamente, me marcho al Riviera Maya Golf Club que se encuentra dentro del Resort de Bahía Príncipe.

Se ocupará de la parcela…

Voy a ser el director general de los dos campos de golf. Un recorrido de 18 hoyos, par 72, diseñado por Ro-

bert Trent Jones Jr.; y un campo de nueve hoyos complementario.

Un concepto de campo, completamente distinto imagino…

Totalmente diferente. En parte también es lo me que atraía. He estado cuatro años en Valderrama, un club muy privado y con socios; ahora voy a encontrar una experiencia completamente distinta. Un campo muy comercial, asociado a cuatro hoteles con cerca de 4.000 habitaciones. Su mercado principal es el norteamericano pero quiero potenciar también al europeo. ¿Retos?

Muchos, partimos de un diseño muy bueno. Y estoy convencido de que una de las mejores y más eficientes formas de dar a conocer y potenciar un campo de golf es celebrar un evento importante. Ya incluso, hemos tenido alguna conversación con la PGA, pero todo a su tiempo. Es un proyecto muy bonito, ilusionante y un gran desafío personal.

Mucha suerte. Espero que le veamos pronto por Sotogrande aunque sea de visita.

Por supuesto, Sotogrande es mi casa y he sido muy feliz en el Real Club Valderrama. Nunca sabes qué deparará el futuro y doy un paso

hacia una oportunidad que estoy seguro me arrepentiría si al menos no lo intentase. Pero nos veremos por aquí, no tengas dudas, será mi lugar de retorno y de relax en vacaciones. Muchas gracias y un saludo a todos.

What were your beginnings like and where do your professional ties to golf stem from?

I have always been very linked to sports management. I worked in marketing with Fórum Valladolid (a basketball team in the ACB) and I also managed fitness centres but the reality is that my arrival in golf was a little coincidental. As a member and regular player at the RACE course in Madrid, due to different circumstances, I came to Malaga to study a Master´s course in golf course management. After spending time at the Parador de Má-

laga, Golf Villamayor (in Salamanca) and Los Angeles de San Rafael, the chance emerged to come to Real Club Valderrama as Director of Operations (2015). I instantly accepted.

Was your time at Real Club Valderrama key to your career?

Absolutely, I have been very lucky to experience and enjoy a few fantastic years at Valderrama. I have learned a lot and discovered new forms of management. Also, I have been lucky to coincide with Javier Reviriego (Director General of Val-

derrama), who always supported me on a key aspect like training, which enabled me to attain my CCM qualification (Certified Club Manager). This has opened up a lot more opportunities for me to grow professionally.

And it is time to pack your suitcases...

I am beginning a new journey, a new challenge but it is really appealing challenge. Leaving a club like Valderrama isn´t easy but I think it was the right time, also, I have always wanted to work abroad and enjoy an international experience.

Specifically, I am heading to the Riviera Maya Golf Club which is in the Bahía Príncipe Resort.

You will be responsible for the course...

I am going to be the director general of the two golf courses. An 18hole, par 72 course, designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr.; and an additional nine-hole course.

A completely different course concept I imagine...

Completely different. That is partly what attracted me. I spent four years at Valderrama, a very private club with members; now I am going to find a completely different experience. A very commercial course, linked to four hotels with almost 4,000 rooms. Its main market is North America, but I also want to boost the European market.

Challenges?

There are lots, but we start with a very good design. And I am con-

vinced that one of the best and most efficient ways to promote and boost a golf course is by holding an important event. We have even had a few conversations with the PGA, but everything in its time. It is a very nice and exciting project and a great personal challenge.

Lots of luck. I hope that we will see you soon in Sotogrande even if it is for a visit.

Of course, Sotogrande is my home and I have been very happy at Real Club Valderrama. You never know what the future will bring and I am taking a step towards an opportunity that I am sure I would regret if I didn´t try. But we will see one another around here, I´m certain, it will be the place I come back to and relax in on holidays.

Por su parte, Nuria Iturrioz, en el mismo campo, se llevó el triunfo en el Royal Golf Dar Es Slam Manuel Gil Jorge Campillo, esta vez sí, vio recompensada su sensacional evolución golfística con su primer triunfo en el European Tour. En Marruecos, en el clásico Trophee Hassan II, donde el extremeño completó una jornada gloriosa para el golf español que comenzó con la victoria de Nuria Iturrios en el mismo campo, Royal Golf Dar Es Salam, en Rabat.

Erik van Rooyen. El panorama se oscureció sensiblemente con dos bogeys consecutivos (hoyos 2 y 3), pero el español no se vino abajo. Ni mucho menos. Se fue creciendo a golpe de birdie (8 y 11) para afrontar la recta final en cabeza. Sus nuevos aciertos en el 16 y 17 terminaron de certificar su victoria, esa por la que tanto había luchado. Erik van Rooyen no terminó de tomarle el pulso a la vuelta, y terminó a dos golpes del español e igualado con el esta-

dounidense Julian Suri.

En los dos últimos meses el cacereño había acumulado dos segundos puestos, Omán y Catar, y un tercero, India. Y a esos buenos resultados había que sumar una decena de Top 20 en 2018. Visto así, estaba claro que la victoria de Campillo estaba a caer.

Erik van Rooyen could not fully get to grips with the round, and finished two shots off the Spaniard and tied with the American Julian Suri.

In the last two months the player from Caceres had accumulated two second-place finishes in Oman and Qatar, and a thirdplace finish in India. And in addition to these good results, there were ten Top 20 finishes in 2018.

In view of that, it was clear that Campillo´s victory was about to arrive.

El desafío arranca en Sevilla La séptima edición del Circuito de Golf Sotogrande celebra en el Real Club Sevilla Golf la primera prueba con más de 120 jugadores en el torneo M. G. Golf, buen ambiente, comienza el espectáculo. El competitivo trazado del Real Club Sevilla Golf, de corte plano y con un atractivo juego de vegetación, obstáculos y greenes, hizo las delicias de los más de 120 jugadores que participaron durante todo la jornada (con salidas consecutivas), en la prueba inaugural del Circuito de Golf Sotogrande.

Un escenario de excepción para arrancar con el desafío del circuito un año más, se ha convertido en uno de los campos clásicos cada temporada. Entretenida y distendida jornada deportiva que se completó con el posterior

cóctel y entrega de premios con degustación de bebidas de primeras marcas.

Los premios especiales recayeron en las manos de Paul Mercer (Bola más cercana, en el Hoyo 3); Lulu Pouroulis (Drive más largo en Damas, en el Hoyo 16) y Maxim Kulyukin (Drive más largo en Caballeros, en el Hoyo 13). Además, como singularidad, el Real Club Sevilla Golf entregó un galardón a José Gómez Carrasco, como campeón Senior.

En cuanto a las clasificaciones, María Pardo se llevó la victoria en la Categoría Damas, seguido de Rocío Ruiz-Berdejo y María del Prado Girón. La victoria en la

Segunda Categoría de Caballeros fue para Leopoldo Mateos, acompañado en el podio por Antonio José Ramírez y Paul James. Por último, Patricio Dávila-Armero se impuso en la Primera Categoría Caballeros, seguido de Juan Manuel García y Ángel F. Alberto.

Más de 70 jugadores de golf adaptado, en el Torneo Cepsa Ell Club de Golf La Cañada acogió dentro del XXVI Torneo Fundación CEPSA Infantil las categorías benjamín y junior Manuel Gil dis, que participaron en un torneo de exhibición en el mini campo de hoyos creado por los profesionales del club, personal y voluntarios del programa ‘Voluntas’ de la empresa Cepsa.

En una jornada espléndida de sol, aunque algo de viento, los jugadores con diferentes grados de discapacidad y que habitualmente practican un día a la semana de forma regular en la Escuela de La Cañada, pudieron disfrutar de su día más especial del año siendo los verdaderos protagonistas.

La calle de prácticas del Campo de Golf Municipal de La Cañada se transformó en un mini campo de juego gracias al trabajo de los profesionales y personal del club y los voluntarios de Cepsa. El fin: la jornada más especial del XXVI Torneo Fundación Cepsa que congregó a más de 70 jugadores de golf adaptado.

Una cita en la que más de 24 jugadores pertenecientes a siete clubes repartidos de toda España disfrutaron de unas jornadas de buen ambiente y deporte de la mano de este clásico deporte, presente en Sotogrande desde los inicios de la urbanización. La competición se disputó bajo la Modalidad Individual sin handicap y dejó buenos momentos durante toda la Semana Santa en el Real Club de Golf Sotogrande. La victoria fue a parar a manos de Felipe López de Carrizosa, uno de los grandes impulsores actualmente de esta práctica deportiva en la urbanización, seguido de Luis Pardo.

esde hace algunos años dedicamos esta última página del periódico a la sección ‘Rincones de Sotogrande’. Un espacio diseñado para colgar imágenes históricas, del archivo propiedad de Grupo HCP, en el que damos a conocer los comienzos de la urbanización e imágenes para el recuerdo de las últimas décadas. Además, durante todo este 2019, aprovechando el 40 aniversario de la agencia inmobiliaria Holmes Sotogrande, también se distribuirán con El Periódico de Sotogrande unas postales que aportarán más imágenes, datos curiosos y anécdotas de los primeros años de Sotogrande. ¡No se las pueden perder!

or some years now we have devoted this last page of the newspaper to the section “Places in Sotogrande”. A space designed for displaying historic images, from the archive owned by Grupo HCP, in which we reveal the beginnings of the resort and memorable images of the last few decades. Also, during all of 2019, taking advantage of the 40th anniversary of the property agency, El Periódico de Sotogrande will distribute postcards that will provide more images, curious facts and stories about the early years of Sotogrande. You cannot miss out on them!
