La calidad antes que la cantidad Sotogrande se significa especialmente a nivel turístico y de posicionamiento internacional bajo una máxima en el que lo que se prioriza y caracteriza este destino único es la calidad por encima de la cantidad, masificación o sobresaturación de personas. Lo importante en este exclusivo complejo turístico-residencial siempre ha sido dotar las propiedades, instalaciones, clubes y servicios de los más altos estándares de calidad siendo la cantidad o la afluencia de personas algo de perfil secundario. Se prioriza la intimidad, discreción, tranquilidad y un estilo de vida que en ningún otro lugar de Europa se puede asemejar, rodeado de algunas de las entidades e instituciones deportivos de mayor nivel de todo el continente, como son el Real Club Valderrama o Santa María Polo Club. En este mismo periódico podrán encontrar una nueva iniciativa que se llevará a cabo este verano en las playas de la zona para luchar a favor de la limpieza de las playas. Sotogrande, con su actitud abierta, cosmopolita y concienciada con el medio (sus edificaciones con baja densidad, conservando y respetando el medio), debería liderar todas estas actuaciones y ser un rincón pionero en Andalucía en este sentido. Contar con más espacios verdes y un cuidado exhaustivo e impecable de todo su entorno debería ser fundamental y algo a exportar y a ser copiado por otras ubicaciones y urbanizaciones de lujo. Contar con una recogida de residuos menos agresiva a la vista y más coordinada o ver impecable e inmaculado cada rincón de la urbanización es lo mínimo exigible para un lugar que exhibe y presume, en la mayoría de los casos con razón, de ser un destino único y exclusivo. En ello va una buena parte de responsabilidad personal e individual, seamos conscientes de que la imagen que da Sotogrande también depende del comportamiento de cada uno de sus vecinos y visitantes. Esperemos que este verano también se pueda elogiar el estado de conservación de sus playas, espacios verdes y lugares más concurridos por su limpieza y buen estado.

Esta nueva edición de El Periódico de Sotogrande, la número 363, ve la luz unas pocas horas antes del inicio del Estrella Damm N.A. Andalucía Masters (así lo hemos querido e incluso retrasado su fecha habitual de mediados de junio para que coincidiese). Muchos son los elogios que esta apuesta decidida del Real Club Valderrama recibirá en estos días a las que nos sumamos profundamente, como todos los vecinos de Sotogrande, ya que permite poner este exclusivo y tan particular destino en el mapa del mundo entero. Cuestión, como se mencionaba anteriormente, no pararemos de enaltecer. Pero en esta ocasión, tomo de ejemplo el torneo para comprobar que al fin, tarde pero al fin, comienza a verse un mayor apoyo desde las instituciones públicas a este tipo de eventos que tanto hacen por el desarrollo y crecimiento de una zona residencial o núcleo poblacional. La Junta de Andalucía, esperemos que vaya en aumento, parece decidida a apoyar la competición en los próximos torneos (no estaría de más multiplicar esa cuantía a cifras alcanzadas hace algunos años); así como también cuenta con un cierto respaldo de la Diputación de Cádiz. Algo que sumado, felizmente, con la firma del patrocinio de Estrella Damm impulsará el despegue definitivo del Andalucía Masters como uno de los principales torneos en el calendario del European Tour. Un torneo con una importante bolsa de premios, evidentemente, conlleva la presencia de un mejor platel de jugadores (el cambio de fecha de junio a octubre también deberá continuar esa senda); lo que se traduce en mayor atractivo internacional, relevancia del evento, más afluencia de público y en definitiva, un crecimiento en la generación y de riqueza para la zona a todos lo niveles: empleo, servicios, hospedaje, comercios, establecimiento, etc. Esperemos que estos apoyos perduren en el tiempo e incluso crezcan, como se apuntaba antes, en cuantía económica y respaldo financiero algo que sin duda ayudaría enormemente para terminar de dar el salto definitivo y entrar en el prestigioso club de los Rolex Series. Las instituciones públicas deben apoyar con fuerza todas estas acciones ya que está en su propia labor y obligación hacerlo. Todo ello sin contar con el bien incalculable que supone para un entorno contar con una o dos citas anuales de repercusión internacional, como precisamente ocurre en Sotogrande. Si este mismo modelo logra traspasarse a otros importantes eventos en la zona, en cierta medida también lo logra el Torneo Internacional de Santa María Polo Club al que tampoco pasaría nada porque las entidades públicas brindasen un mayor apoyo económico que revertiría igualmente en beneficios para la zona y una mayor expansión del evento, Sotogrande se situaría y consolidaría como un destino deportivo de alto nivel. El mundo del caballo cuenta con un enorme potencial por explotar todavía (en ello andan los próximos proyectos en la zona), igual pasa con las pruebas náuticas. El apoyo del ámbito privado y público, en su consideración con el entorno en el que fluctúa, debe hacerse más palpable para lograr grandes retos. Mientras tanto, se presenta una apasionante semana de golf en Sotogrande, disfruten del torneo. Yo lo haré.

Institutional and private support This new edition of El Periódico de Sotogrande, number 363, is published a few hours before the start of the Estrella Damm N.A. Andalucía Masters (this is what we wanted and even delayed its regular date midway through June in order for them to coincide. This decisive commitment by Real Club Valderrama will receive a lot of praise over the coming days and we are getting deeply involved, like all the residents of Sotogrande, as it makes it possible to put this exclusive and very particular destination on the world map. As mentioned previously, we will not stop extolling this issue. But on this occasion, the tournament is a chance to see that, ultimately, late but finally, we are beginning to see more support from public institutions for these types of events that do so much for the development and growth of a residential area or a population hub. The Regional Government of Andalusia, and we hope it will increase, seems decided on supporting the competition over the coming tournaments (it wouldn´t be a bad thing to multiply that amount to the figures attained years ag); and it also has certain backing from the Provincial Council of Cadiz. Happily, this comes in addition to the sponsorship signing of Estrella Damm which will boost the definitive take-off of the Andalucía Masters as one of the main tournaments on the European Tour calendar. A tournament with a significant prize purse, clearly entails the presence of a better line-up of players (the change of date to June from October should also continue this path); which makes it more internationally appealing, add to the importance of the event, brings larger crowds and ultimately, a growth in the generation of wealth for the area at all levels: employment, services, accommodation, business, establishment, etc. We hope that this support will last over time and even grow, as stated before, in terms of the economic sum and financial backing, which would undoubtedly enormous help to finish taking the definitive leap and entering the prestigious club of the Rolex Series. Public institutions need to strongly support all of these actions as it is art of their work and duty to do so. All of this is without considering the incalculable good that comes for an area with having one or two annual events with an international impact, as indeed is the case in Sotogrande. If this model can be transferred to other important events in the area, to a certain extent it is also achieved by the International Tournament at Santa María Polo Club, which could also be helped by public entities offering greater economic support which would likewise result in benefits for the area and greater expansion of the event, Sotogrande would be placed and consolidate its status as a high-level sports destination. The equestrian world has enormous potential still to be exploited (the upcoming projects in the area involve it), as do the sailing events. Support from the private and public sector, in its consideration for the environment in which it fluctuates, should become more palpable in order to achieve big challenges. Meanwhile, an exciting week of golf in Sotogrande is on the horizon, enjoy the tournament. I will do. Nuevos pactos viejos New old pacts Parece que España ha entrado en una etapa política sin precedentes: la etapa de los pactos. El desenlace de las últimas elecciones locales y autonómicas así lo sugiere, porque hemos visto que lo sucedido aquí en Andalucía se ha repetido. Alianzas de diverso colores han permitido que ayuntamientos y comunidades autónomas cambiaran o mantuvieran sus gobiernos en Madrid, Barcelona, Navarra y en otros lugares. Es indudable, por tanto, que los tiempos han cambiado. No podía ser de otra manera, porque el bipartidismo se ha visto erosionado por la evolución de dos formaciones relativamente nuevas —Ciudadanos y Podemos— y por la aparición de un recién llegado: Vox.

Nuevo hogar para la Innocence Redacción La célebre estatua que coronaba la rotonda de entrada de Torreguadiaro, conocida como la Innocence, ya ha encontrado un nuevo emplazamiento. La figura, con aspecto de mujer, fue retirada a finales de mayo. Su nuevo hogar es el Parque de la Vida de San Roque, donde fue inaugurada y rebautizada como Monumento al donante el pasado 5 de junio. Dicha fecha coincidió con el Día Mundial del Donante de Órganos. A la inauguración acudieron el alcalde en funciones, Juan Carlos Ruiz Boix, y el presidente de Trasdocar, la organización sanroqueña de donaciones, Lorenzo Pérez, el cual vive desde hace 19 años con un corazón trasplantado. La idea de este Monumento al Donante surgió en el año 2006.

Sin embargo, según el propio Pérez, no se ha podido llevar a cabo hasta ahora por los problemas económicos acaecidos durante la crisis económica. Con este acto, la asociación Trasdocar concluyó la campaña “Donación de órganos, tejidos y sangre” que ha desarrollado durante todo el mes de mayo en los colegios de San Roque. A base de charlas-coloquio, se ha intentado concienciar a los más jóvenes sobre la importancia de la donación para salvar vidas. A la inauguración también asistieron estudiantes de los centros de educación secundaria Santa María Coronada, Santa Rita y Gabriel Arenas. Además, los alumnos recibieron los premios a un concurso de dibujo acerca de la donación, tras lo cual se realizó la tradicional suelta de globos.

Mediación para prevenir enfermedades laborales La OMS ha reconocido recientemente el síndrome del trabajador quemado como enfermedad laboral. Sus primeras señales puedes ser las continuadas distracciones, el mal humor o el cansancio, que se instalan en el día a día del trabajador. Y es que una gestión inadecuada de los cambios y una opaca comunicación dentro de la organización, poco tardan en ofrecer escenarios de empleados insatisfechos e inseguros en sus puestos de trabajo que comentan sobre sus jornadas excesivas o sus sueldos insuficientes. Un dato de la OIT cifra el coste mundial del estrés laboral en alrededor de 600.000 millones de euros, mientras que la OMS viene advirtiendo que la depresión será, a este paso, la primera causa de discapacidad hacia el año 2030. Sin embargo, en la práctica actual, pocas son aun las acciones preventivas que emprenden las empresas al respecto, ¿cuál es el motivo?. La Encuesta Europea sobre riesgos nuevos y emergentes de la Agencia Europea para la Salud y la Seguridad en el Trabajo de 2015, nos dice que es, principalmente, porque el

problema se niega, es decir, las empresas tienden a evitar el tema y a no afrontarlo, “Nosotros no tenemos ningún problema”, “en nuestra empresa no hay conflictos” … Son muchas las organizaciones que niegan la importancia de prevenir el estrés y el acoso en el trabajo y que tampoco cuentan con un sistema integrado de gestión de conflictos reflejado en un Protocolo de Gestión Constructiva de los mismos. Dicho Protocolo es un documento escrito construido por los socios, directivos, gerentes, responsables o personas que están a cargo de equipos de trabajo, con la asistencia de la persona mediadora. Durante su construcción, el mediador ayuda a los participantes a detectar y analizar las variables potencialmente conflictivas y a desarrollar una estrategia para neutralizarlas y prevenirlas. Implica, además, una negociación mediada a través de un proceso pedagógico de reflexión y aprendizaje significativo. El hecho de que el mediador sea externo a la organización es esencial para asegurar la neutralidad de la mediación y el Protocolo resultante guarda coherencia con la política de formación, calidad, y con el departamento jurídico. New home for The Innocence The famous statue that crowned the roundabout at the entrance to Torreguadiaro, known as Innocence has been given a new location. The figure, with the appearance of a woman, was removed at the end of May. Its new home is the Park of Life in San Roque, where it was unveiled and re-baptised as Monument to donors on 5 June. This date coincided with the World Day of Organ Donors. The unveiling was attended by the serving mayor, Juan Carlos Ruiz Boix, and the president of Trasdocar, the San Roque donor organisation, Lorenzo Pérez, who have lived with a transplanted heart for 19 years. The idea of this Monument to Donors arose in 2006. However, according to Pérez, it has not been

possible to carry it out until now due to the financial problems that occurred during the economic crisis. With this act, the association Trasdocar concluded the “Donation of organs, tissues and blood” campaign that it carried out during May at the schools of San Roque. Based on talks and discussions, the aim has been to raise awareness among young people about the importance of donations to save lives. The unveiling was also attended by students from the secondary education schools Santa María Coronada, Santa Rita and Gabriel Arenas. Also, the pupils received prizes for a drawing competition about donors, after which the traditional release of balloons was held.

Mediation to prevent occupational illnesses The WHO has recently recognised the worker burnout syndrome as an occupational illness. Its first signals could be ongoing distractions, bad mood and tiredness, which become a part of the worker´s daily life. The fact is that improper management of changes and opaque communication within the organisation, do not take long to result in unsatisfied workers who are insecure in their roles who comment on their excessive working days or their insufficient salaries. These are circumstances that will result in destructive conflicts if they are not prevented and resolved on time. A figure from the International Labour Organization puts the worldwide cost of occupation stress at 600 billion Euros, while the WHO is warning that depression will be the main cause of incapacity by 2030. However, in current practice, there are still few preventive actions that businesses undertake in this regard, what is the reason for that? The European Survey on new and emerging risks of the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work in 2015, tells us that it is mainly because the problem is denied, that is

to say, companies tend to avoid the issue and not tackle it, “We have no problem”, “there are no conflicts in our company...” There are lots of organisations that deny the importance of preventing stress and workplace harassment and that do not have an integrated conflict management system outlined in a Constructive Management Protocol for them. This Protocol is a written document built by the members, executives, management or people who are responsible for the work teams, with the attendance of the mediator. During its construction, the mediator helps participants to detect and analyse the potentially conflicting variables and develop a strategy to neutralise them and prevent them. It also entails mediated negotiation through an educational process of reflection and meaningful learning. The fact that the mediator is from outside the organisation is essential to ensure the neutrality of the mediation and that the resulting Protocol is coherent with the policy of training, quality and the legal department. Juan Carlos Ruiz Boix - Alcalde de San Roque

“Valderrama posiciona a San Roque en el mapa internacional” • Pocos días después de revalidar su mayoría absoluta, El Periódico de Sotogrande se sienta con el alcalde de San Roque para conocer las líneas maestras y los principales proyectos para los próximos cuatro años en el municipio Manuel Gil En primer lugar, enhorabuena por la victoria electoral que supone su tercer mandato y el segundo con mayoría absoluta. Cuando el PSOE no obtenía buenos resultados a nivel nacional, usted mantenía ya la marca en alza en San Roque…¿pesa más la gestión de su gobierno que las siglas? El PSOE en San Roque tiene unos números ascendentes y se puede apreciar desde dos perspectivas. Por un lado, en las elecciones de diciembre de 2018 [Andaluzas] obtuvo unos 3.200 votos, en las Generales de abril 4.700 y en las Municipales: 5.685 votos; por tanto, el proyecto local tiene incluso más votos que la marca. El segundo punto de vista es el histórico. En la primera elección, en 2011, con una crisis bárbara y un desempleo muy elevado, pese a la gran oleada de voto favorable al Partido Popular, presentándonos desde la oposición conseguimos ganar. Una tendencia que nos ha permitido pasar de vencer en tres barriadas entonces hasta ganar en prácticamente todo el municipio. ¿Se siente con más fuerza que nunca? Eso lo consigue el respaldo de la ciudadanía. Sumar 500 votos más supone un apoyo mayoritario al proyecto “Contigo avanzamos” y no vamos a defraudar. ¿Qué hay de Mancomunidad? Lo más importante es que el partido socialista ha ganado en el recuento comarcal y obtiene tres Alcaldías (San Roque, Castellar y Tarifa). Contar con trece representantes nos permite negociar con otras fuerzas políticas para conseguir el mejor gobierno posible para los vecinos del Campo de Gibraltar. ¿Se llegó a ver en Madrid? Sinceramente, sí. Tenía el apoyo del partido a nivel provincial y me sentía con las fuerzas y ganas de compaginas las dos tareas: defender los intereses de la provincia como Diputado del Congreso y a su vez mantener mis labores en la Alcaldía de San Roque. En ningún caso me llegué a plantear abandonar la Alcaldía. Mi candidatura fue apoyada de manera mayoritaria por los socialistas gaditanos pero existe una nueva dirección

en el partido y entendió que debía ser otra la representación de la Provincia de Cádiz. ¿Cuáles serán las líneas maestras de este mandato? Principalmente el empleo. Tenemos cifras de desempleo que no alcanzábamos desde hace una década, antes de la crisis. Pero el objetivo es volver a los niveles de mayor esplendor y crecimiento, como allá por 2007

supone una gran salida profesional en muchas zonas del municipio. Son dos áreas en las que con un centro de formación adecuado podrían oxigenar la salida profesional de muchos sanroqueños. Y por supuesto, potenciar la Escuela de Hostelería. Para mí es la mejor de Andalucía y de las mejores de España. Tiene una inserción laboral por encima del 100%, muchos de los estudiantes,

en estos momentos manejamos dos principalmente: una cerca de la vía de servicio en la que se encuentra la zona comercial de Sotogrande [cerca de Supercor] y otra, por la que me inclinaría un poco más, junto al campo de fútbol de Guadiaro. De aquí a final de año se cerrará la ubicación con el objetivo de comenzar su ejecución para que antes de final de mandato esté en pleno funcionamiento.

cuando teníamos esos 2.500 parados pero iremos poco a poco. El primer paso es romper la barrera y bajar de la cifra de 3.000 desempleados y una vez conseguido, tratar de seguir reduciendo esos datos al máximo. Eso se consigue atrayendo inversiones; contar con un gobierno estable y de garantías debe aumentar ese nivel de atractivo necesario para conseguir que grandes compañías apuesten por nuestro municipio, para ello hay que seguir potenciando el sector inmobiliario, el turismo deportivo y de alto nivel (turismo de excelencia) y un crecimiento sostenible de la industria, otro sector pujante y que se puede materializar también desde el perfil logístico. ¿Y la formación? Vamos a demandar a la Junta de Andalucía contar con un centro de formación dual. Es algo prioritario ya que hay dos sectores que así lo demandan como es el industrial, en el que la especificación es algo muy importante, y todo lo relacionado con el mantenimiento y labores de conservación de viviendas y propiedades en sus diferentes parcelas, algo que

antes de acabar sus estudios, ya cuentan con ofertas laborales en distinguidos establecimientos de la Costa del Sol y otros puntos de referencia a nivel de hostelería. Incluso existe, por parte de este gobierno, un proyecto que deseamos impulsar de la mano de la Junta de Andalucía (organismo del que depende la Escuela de Hostelería), como es instalarla en algunas de las parcelas de la Junta que se encuentran alrededor del Ayuntamiento para integrarla con la ciudad y no se sienta al margen, junto con las residencia de estos estudiantes. Todo ello iría acompañado de un proyecto también ambicioso de crear un Palacio de Congresos en la ubicación actual de la Escuela de Hostelería. Pero son proyectos que están en mente y esperamos que puedan ver la luz en algún momento, ya que este Consistorio tiene recursos para llevarlos a cabo. ¿Qué hay del Teatro para el Valle del Guadiaro? Uno de nuestros grandes compromisos electorales. Estamos estudiando la adquisición de la mejor parcela posible para llevar a cabo el proyecto y

Hablaba antes de infraestructuras, ¿qué hay de la modificación del acceso a Torreguadiaro en la A-7? En esto momento se está redactando el proyecto del nuevo trazado. Lo que hemos pedido es que el acceso de Torreguadiaro no suponga también al mismo tiempo la única vía de no pago para transitar entre las provincias de Cádiz y Málaga, lo que provoca esa sobresaturación en diferentes momentos del año, especialmente en verano con la afluencia a las playas. Principalmente, la clave del proyecto pasar por realizar una circunvalación por detrás de la zona de la gasolinera y Montilla, de manera que con esa salida nueva se pueda acceder directamente a la bajada hacia la rotonda de San Diego y Cala Sardina. De manera que la salida de Torreguadiaro actual sólo sería utilizada por aquellas personas que se desplacen hacia la propia barriada, playas o Puerto de Sotogrande. ¿Y el nuevo paso peatonal entre las vías de servicio de Pueblo Nuevo? Ya es una realidad. Los vecinos de Pueblo Nuevo y Guadiaro nos expli-

caron que ellos acudían andando hasta la zona comercial de la otra vía, a la entrada de Sotogrande. En su momento, los gestores urbanísticos de entonces no pensaron en esta situación. Después de cuatro años de gestión hemos conseguido la autorización, precisamente después del cambio de Gobierno Nacional; y tras estudiar todas las posibilidades hemos podido acometer la actuación, financiada completamente por el Ayuntamiento de San Roque, para dotar de mayor seguridad este paso. ¿Peligra el Puesto Principal de la Guardia Civil en el Valle del Guadiaro? Espero que no pero hay que sumarle efectivos. Tanto en Pueblo Nuevo como en San Roque, se han ido reduciendo en los últimos años los efectivos y se ven las carencias. Faltan más de 20 agentes en cada uno de los Puestos Principales. Actualmente tenemos los refuerzos del Plan Especial del Campo de Gibraltar, pero en líneas generales, hay necesidad de dotar adecuadamente ambos Puestos. Está a punto de comenzar el Estrella Damm N. A. Andalucía Masters, ¿qué supone para San Roque contar todos los años con un evento así en el Real Club Valderrama? Un evento de este magnitud nos posiciona y ubica en el mapa internacional. Me gusta decir que San Roque, como municipio, cuenta con una importante marca a nivel autonómico y tenemos que seguir creciendo. A su vez, Sotogrande supone un importante referente de nuestro municipio a nivel nacional y cada vez consolida más su posición a nivel continental; y luego, el Real Club Valderrama nos da la localización mundial. Este nombre internacional ligado al golf, junto con el Torneo Internacional de Verano de Santa María Polo Club, son dos hitos que sitúan el foco internacional en nuestro municipio y esperamos que los apoyos (públicos y privados), consigan, en el caso del golf, entrar en ese ansiado y selecto club de torneos de las Rolex Serios (dotados con más de 7 millones en premios).

“Valderrama puts San Roque on the international map” A few days after he retained his absolute majority, El Periódico de Sotogrande sat down with the mayor of San Roque to find out the main points and the main projects for the coming four years in the municipality Firstly, congratulations for the electoral victory of your third term and the second with an absolute majority. When the PSOE didn´t obtain good results nationally, you maintained the brand on the rise in San Roque...is the management of your government more significant than the initials? The PSOE in San Roque has rising numbers and that can be viewed from two perspectives. On one hand, in the elections of December 2018 (Andalusian elections) it obtained 3,200 votes, in the General elections of April 4,700 and in the Municipal elections: 5,685 votes; therefore, the local project has even more votes than the brand. The second point of view is the historic one. In the first election, in 2011, with a terrible crisis and a very high level of unemployment, despite the large wave of voting in favour of Partido Popular, presenting ourselves as the opposition we managed to win. This trend has enabled us to go from wining in three districts then to winning in practically the entire municipality. Do you feel stronger than ever? That is achieved with the backing of the citizens. Adding another 500 votes means majority support for the “We move forward with you” project and we are not going to disappoint. What about the Association of Municipalities? The most important thing is that the socialist party won in the provincial count and obtained by the three Mayoral offices (San Roque, Castellar and Tarifa). Having thirteen representatives enables us to negotiate with other political forces in order to attain the best possible government for the residents of Campo de Gibraltar. Did you see yourself in Madrid? Honestly, yes. I had the support of the party at a provincial level and I felt that I had the

strength and desire to combine the two tasks; defining the interests of the province as a Member of Parliament and in turn carry out my work in the Mayoral Office of San Roque. Under no circumstances did I think about leaving the Mayoral office. My candidacy was supported on a majority basis by the socialists of Cadiz but there is new management in the party and it believed that the representatives for the Province of Cadiz should be different. What are the major points of this term? Mainly employment. We have high unemployment figures that we hadn´t reached in a decade, before the crisis. But the aim is to return the levels of greater splendour and growth, like back in 2007 when we had those 2,500 unemployed people but we will gradually improve. The first step is to break down the barrier and drop from the figure of 3,000 unemployed people and having achieved that, try to continue to fully reduce that data. That is achieved by attracting investments; having a stable government with guarantees should increase the level of appeal needed to get major companies to commit to our municipality, to that end it is necessary to continue to encourage the property sector, high-level sports tourism (excellence tourism) and sustainable growth in the industry, another strong sector and that can be materialised from a logistics profile. And training? We are going to request a dual training centre from the Regional Government of Andalusia. This is a priority as there are two sectors calling for it, namely the industrial sector where specification is something that is very important, and everything linked to maintenance and the conservation work of properties on different plots, is something that provides great professional possibilities in many areas of the municipality.

These are two areas where a suitable training centre could boost the professional opportunities of lots of San Roque locals. And of course, we should boost the Catering School. For me, it is the best in Andalusia and one of the best in Spain. It has labour integration over 100%, many of the students, before finishing their studies, already have job offers in distinguished establishments on the Costa del Sol and other leading catering establishments. There is even, through this government, a project that we wish to promote alongside the Regional Government of Andalusia (the body that the Catering School depends on), which is implementing it on some of the plots of the Regional Government that are around the Council in order to integrate it with the city, and not have it at the margin, alongside the residency of these students. All of this would be accompanied by an also ambitious project to create Conference Centre in the current location of the Catering School. But these are projects that we are thinking about and we hope that they can be carried out at some time, as this Council has the resources to carry them out. What about the Theatre for Valle del Guadiaro? It is one of our major electoral commitments. We are studying the purchase of the best possible plot in order to carry out the project and at the moment we are mainly looking at two: one close to the service road where the shopping area is in Sotogrande (close to Supercor) and another, which I would be more inclined to go for, next to Guadiaro football pitch. The location will be decided on between now and the end of the year in order to begin implementation so that it is fully functioning before the end of the term. You talked before about infrastructures,

what about the modification of the access to Torreguadiaro on the A-7? At the moment the project of the new route is being designed. What we have requested is that the access to Torreguadiaro should not also at the same time be the only non-payment route for travelling between the provinces of Cadiz and Malaga, which results in the over saturation at different times of year, especially in summer with the crowds on the beaches. Mainly, the key to the project depends on creating a bypass behind the area of the petrol station and Montilla, so that the new exit makes it possible to have direct access to the descent towards the roundabout of San Diego and Cala Sardina. Thus, the current Torreguadiaro exit would only be used by the people who travel towards the neighbourhood itself, beaches or Sotogrande Port. And the new pedestrian crossing between the service roads of Pueblo Nuevo? It is now a reality. The residents of Pueblo Nuevo and Guadiaro explained to us that they would walk to the shopping area of the other road, at the entrance to Sotogrande. At the time, the urban planners did not think of this situation. After four years of managed we have attained the authorisation, precisely after the change of National Government; and after studying all the possibilities we have been able to carry out the action, completely funded by the Council of San Roque in order to make this crossing safer.

Is the Main Unit of the Civil Guard in Valle del Guadiaro in danger? I hope not but we need to add new members. Both in Pueblo Nuevo and San Roque, the numbers have been reduced in recent years and the deficiencies can be seen. More than 20 agents are lacking in each of the Main Units. At present, we have the reinforcements of the Special Plan of Campo de Gibraltar, but broadly speaking there is a need to properly equip both Units. The Estrella Damm N. A. Andalucía Masters is about to begin, what does it mean for San Roque to have an event like that every year at Real Club Valderrama? An event of this magnitude positions us and places us on the international map. I like to say that San Roque, as a municipality, has an important brand at a regional level and we must continue to grow. In turn, Sotogrande is an important benchmark in our municipality at a national level and is increasingly consolidating its position at a continental level; and then, Real Club Valderrama makes us a global location. Juanjo Rodríguez Juan Carlos Ruiz Boix, cabeza de lista del PSOE en las elecciones locales del pasado 26 de mayo, fue investido alcalde de San Roque por tercera vez consecutiva durante el Pleno de Constitución de la nueva Corporación Municipal. La sesión se desarrolló en el Teatro Juan Luis Galiardo ante abundante público. En su discurso, el primer edil ha recalcado que seguirá trabajando por reducir las cifras de paro, en potenciar las políticas sociales y en ejecutar inversiones que beneficien al conjunto de los ciudadanos del municipio. Boix prometió que gobernará para todos los sanroqueños, incluidos aquellos que no le han votad, y remarcó la importancia del diálogo con todos los actores sociales para garantizar el bienestar del municipio. En total, entre los tres peajes que unen Guadiaro con Málaga, los conductores de un turismo deberán abonar 16,20 euros, en comparación con los 9,95 euros que cuesta normal-

mente. El peaje más caro es el de Calahonda, que se eleva hasta los 7,65 euros, en comparación con los 4,70 euros que costaba antes del 1 de junio. Le sigue el de Calahonda, que aumenta dos euros para situarse en los 5,20 euros. Y por último, el de Manilva, que costará 3,35 en lugar de 2,05 euros hasta el próximo 1 de octubre.

El Periódico de Sotogrande entrevista al diputado provincial de Deportes de Cádiz, Jaime Armario, con motivo de la celebración del Estrella Damm Andalucía Masters en Sotogrande. Un evento, que la Diputación de Cádiz viene apoyando desde 2018 por ser un magnífico escaparate desde el que promocionar el turismo deportivo y romper la estacionalidad: La Diputación de Cádiz es uno de los grandes apoyos del Estrella Damm Andalucía Masters; ¿en qué se traduce exactamente este patrocinio? Desde la Diputación de Cádiz tenemos muy claro que los eventos deportivos nos ayudan a promocionar la provincia como destino y a romper con la estacionalidad. Desde 2018 somos patrocinadores de este Torneo de relevancia internacional. Una cita deportiva, además, ligada al golf, que, precisamente, es un deporte que en Cádiz se escribe con letras mayúsculas. El golf es uno de los motores del turismo deportivo en la provincia, ¿qué papel cree que juega este evento en su desarrollo? El de Valderrama es uno de los eventos más interesantes de cuantos se celebran en la provincia de Cádiz. De igual forma que el circuito hípico del Sol; el Torneo Internacional de Polo de Sotogrande; las prueba del campeonato del mundo de Kite Surf en Tarifa, o el Campeonato del

Mundo de Motociclismo de Jerez. Al final, estamos hablando de eventos deportivos internacionales que atraen a un gran número de personas, llenan hoteles, restaurantes, bares, y rompen con la estacionalidad haciendo de la provincia un destino turístico de interés todo el año. Además, hay que destacar la buena imagen que da la provincia de Cádiz con la organización de tantas y tan relevantes citas deportivas de primer nivel internacional. Estamos, en este sentido, a la cabeza de nuestra región. Además, es un espaldarazo para la economía de la zona. Cuando hacemos un evento deportivo se actúa en tres frentes. Uno, la promoción del deporte. Otro, la difusión del destino. Y un tercero, que es el impacto que todo ello supone en el lugar donde sucede a raíz de la gente que lo visita atraída por el acontecimiento. En este caso se cumplen los tres sobradamente y, sin duda, es un espaldarazo económico muy importante para la Comarca durante los últimos días de junio.

El cambio de fecha va a ser importante en este sentido. Totalmente. La variación en el calendario va a resultar muy positiva. Junio es sinónimo de buen tiempo; de apertura del verano. Si ya de por si el Torneo tenía atractivos, ahora ya se ha convertido en ineludible para los amantes del golf. El torneo llegará a más de 400 millones potenciales de espectadores de todo el mundo por lo que será un estupendo escaparate a la galería internacional. El mercado internacional va a ver Cádiz desde Valderrama que, además, es uno de los mejores campos de golf del mundo. Es una acción insuperable. El golf suma adeptos cada día en la provincia; ¿cuál es la salud de este deporte en Cádiz? Muy buena. Los datos lo demuestran. Cada día practican golf más personas en la provincia. Las condiciones climatológicas y el número de campos hacen que sea el lugar perfecto para jugar y el público local está creciendo. Este año, pre-

cisamente, hemos estrenado a nivel amateur la Primera Copa Diputación de Cádiz de Golf y ha tenido muy buena acogida. ¿Qué plan le propondría al visitante al Valderrama Masters además de ver el torneo? Disfrutar del Campo de Gibraltar, que tiene magníficas instalaciones destinadas a todo tipo de ocio, gastronomía, cultura y por supuesto, golf. Es un destino que invita a repetir; sin duda.

Brands are also interested; I think that lots more will come because this is an excellent event that is very profitable for them. Golf is gaining followers every day in the province; what is the health of this sport in Cadiz? Very good. The data shows that. Every day golf is played by more people in the province. The climate conditions and the number of courses makes it the perfect place to play and the local audience is growing. This year, indeed, we have launched, at an amateur level, the First Province of Cadiz Golf Cup, and it had a very good reception. What plan would you propose to visitors to the Valderrama Masters in addition to watching the tournament? Enjoying Campo de Gibraltar, which has magnificent facilities, devoted to all types of leisure, gastronomy, culture and of course, golf. It is a destination that certainly entices you to return.

Este año hemos dado el segundo paso gracias a la Junta y a nuestro nuevo patrocinador, Estrella Damm, y hemos conseguido un torneo más importante, con más dinero y de mayor renombre internacional. No es un secreto que queremos dar el tercero. Mi voto es que trabajemos todos para que consigamos tener un torneo de la Rolex Series dentro de unos años”.

El Real Club Valderrama ha dejado grandes momentos para la historia del golf, y uno de ellos cumple su 25 aniversario. Se trata del famoso golpe, bautizado como albatros, que realizó el español Miguel Ángel Jiménez en el Volvo Masters de 1994. El malagueño estaba realizando un campeonato irregular, pasando de liderar la clasificacióna perderse en tierra de nadie. Sin embargo, llegó al famoso hoyo 17, donde años antes se desesperó Tiger Woods, donde mostró todo su talento.Salió con un buen drive que le dejó a 191 metros de la bandera, en una posición difícil, con varios búnkeres, el lago central y un arroyo protegiendo el green.

Jiménez no lo dudó y le pegó con su hierro 3 y esperó unos interminables segundos observando como la bola botaba a 5 metros de la bandera, rodaba hasta el hoyo y se colaba en él.

El público del Valderrama se volvió loco. El andaluz había hecho historia y acababa de conseguir uno de los golpes más famosos de la historia del European Tour.

25th Anniversary of Albatross by Miguel Ángel Jiménez at the legendary 17th Hole Real Club Valderrama has provided great moments for the history of golf, and one of them is celebrating its 25th anniversary. It is the famous shot, named the albatross, that the Spaniard Miguel Ángel Jiménez hit at the Volvo Masters in 1994. The Malaga player was having an inconsistent championship, going from leading the rankings to being lost in no man´s land. However, he reached the famous 17th hole, where years earlier Tiger Woods had despaired, and showed all of his talent.

It started with a good drive that left him 191 metres from the flag, in a difficult position, with several bunkers, the central lake and a stream protecting the green. Jiménez did not hesitate and struck with his 3 iron and waited for a few endless seconds observing how the ball bounced 5 metres from the flag, rolled towards the hole and dropped in. The crowds at Valderrama went wild. The Andalusian player had made history and just achieved one of the most famous shots in the history of the European Tour.

Las claves de la nueva Ley Hipotecaria

Quienes firmen una hipoteca a partir de ahora lo van a hacer bajo el espíritu de la nueva ley que acaba de entrar en vigor. “La ley exige a los bancos ofrecer información detallada a los nuevos clientes hipotecarios sobre sus obligaciones de pago y esta mayor transparencia hará que los deudores tengan más conocimiento sobre sus derechos y responsabilidades antes de solicitar una hipoteca, reduciendo la posibilidad de futuras disputas legales”. Esta normativa tiene como objetivo reducir sensiblemente la elevada litigiosidad hipotecaria actual para que no se repitan conflictos como el de las cláusulas suelo, las hipotecas multidivisa y los préstamos ligados al IRPH. Estos son los cambios más relevantes. • ¿Qué gastos de formalización correrán legalmente a cargo del hipotecado? Únicamente el coste de tasación, cuyo precio medio en España ronda los 300 euros. Por ley y por primera vez en más de 20 años, las entidades financieras tendrán que pagar el resto de los gastos de formalización. Es decir, el coste de notario, registro, gestoría y, el más importante de todos por su cuantía, esta obligación tributaria fue aprobada vía Real Decreto en 2018 y recogida posteriormente por la nueva Ley Hipotecaria. En un préstamo tipo de 200.000 euros, alrededor de 3.000 euros corresponden a este gravamen, aunque hay muchas variaciones dependiendo de la Comunidad Autónoma. El único lugar donde el impuesto lo seguirá pagando el cliente es en el País Vasco, que cuenta con fiscalidad propia, salvo las hipotecas sobre primera vivienda, que están exentas. • ¿Se abaratan algunas comisiones? Baja sensiblemente la comisión por amortización anticipada, sobre todo en el caso de los préstamos a tipo fijo. A partir de ahora, el recargo aplicado por el banco no podrá exceder el 2% del capital amortizado durante los 10 primeros años y un 1,5% si se realiza después. En las hipotecas variables, la comisión máxima será del 0,25% sobre lo amortizado a partir del tercer año o del 0,15% si es a partir del quinto. • ¿Qué sucede con la comisión de apertura? La nueva normativa no limita esta comisión, pero queda prohibida la llamada comisión de estudio. • ¿Hay algún riesgo de que el banco incluya una cláusula suelo en la hipoteca? El Congreso decidió prohibirlas, a pesar de

que son legales cuando están claramente recogidas en el contrato del préstamo. • ¿Puede obligar un banco al cliente a contratar un seguro de hogar o de vida? La entidad financiera puede exigir al cliente que contrate un seguro de hogar y/o un seguro de vida o de protección de pagos, pero no hay ninguna obligación de hacerlo con ella. Lo que sí puede hacer -de hecho, es una práctica frecuente- es aplicar bonificaciones en el diferencial del préstamo por cada producto que suscriba con ella. • ¿Las subrogaciones están libres de impuestos? No, mover el préstamo de banco dejará de estar exento tributariamente. Los gastos generados por la operación se prorratearán entre las dos entidades financieras implicadas en función de la duración del crédito y del momento en el que se produce la subrogación. De este modo se pretende evitar que estas hipotecas estén mejor tratadas fiscalmente que las de nueva formalización. • ¿En qué momento puede instar un banco la llamada ejecución hipotecaria? Cuando el hipotecado acumule doce meses de impago. Hasta ahora eran tres meses. El banco y el cliente pueden incorporar en el contrato la posibilidad de la dación en pago si así lo acuerdan libremente. • ¿La nueva normativa incentiva de algún modo la formalización de las hipotecas a tipo fijo? Claramente. La nueva ley abarata la conversión del préstamo variable al préstamo a tipo fijo con un recargo del 0,15% sobre el importe de la hipoteca. Antes era del 0,25%. • ¿Qué papel jugarán los notarios y registradores? Su rol será mucho más importante. Para empezar, será el cliente y no el banco quien lo elija, como solía suceder hasta ahora. Diez días antes de la firma del préstamo, el cliente podrá reunirse con el notario para resolver de manera gratuita todas sus dudas. Acto seguido, el notario realizará un pequeño test posterior para asegurarse de que lo tiene todo claro y levantará acta. El notario entregará al consumidor un borrador del contrato, una ficha que contiene los datos más relevantes de la hipoteca (Ficha Europea de Información Normalizada), un documento que detalla todas las cláusulas y los gastos del préstamo, así como una simulación de las cuotas periódicas que pagaría el cliente en diferentes escenarios de tipos de interés. El banco pagará el arancel del notario por elevar el préstamo a escritura pública.

Una bandera para Puerto Sotogrande y tres para las playas sanroqueñas, que recogieron en Roquetas de Mar, Almería, de manos del Consejero de Turismo de la Junta de Andalucía, Juan Marín. Serván agradeció el trabajo del personal de Obras y Servicios por mantener la calidad de las playas, así como a Seguridad Ciudadana y Protección Civil, recalcando que el año pasado no hubo que lamentar ningún fallecido. Guadiaro se prepara Las hogueras de San Juan, para vivir su feria inicio de un nuevo verano en la playa de Torreguadiaro Manuel Gil La tradición, la costumbre y quizás, por qué no, algo de mística rodean a esta clásica bienvenida al verano en la playa de Torreguadiaro. Las hogueras de San Juan, en el cambio a la medianoche del 23 al 24 de junio congregó un año más la asistencia de cientos de personas en la playa de Torreguadiaro para

asistir en directo a la quema de los ‘juanillos’. Una cita que cada año crece y va a más. Casi medio centenar de puestos de venta, música en directo y actividades animaron una noche que ya es toda una tradición en la zona y en la que además, los diferentes establecimientos preparan con una

programación paralela para hacer disfrutar a los asistentes. Además, en otros puntos de la Costa, como la playa de Sotogrande o Alcaidesa también se llevan a cabo la quema de San Juan; algo que ya es toda una institución para comenzar con un primer baño el verano con la mejor suerte posible.

La feria de Guadiaro, el gran punto de encuentro para el final del mes de junio. Una de las citas más esperadas del año en la zona llega llena de actividades, música en directo y buen ambiente para disfrutar un año más de la primera feria estival del Valle (26-30 de junio). El miércoles, 26 de junio, arranca el programa de actividades con la Coronación, a partir de las 21:30 h., en la Carpa Municipal que además contará con la actuación de María Carrasco. El jueves 27, tras el toque de diana (7:00), la actividad llega con la Cabalgata a partir de las 19:00 h. y el posterior comienzo del baile (23:00 h.). Para el viernes, espectáculo infantil a partir de las 12:00 h. y música en directo con Fitoscopia, tributo a Fito & Fitipaldis desde las

19:00 h. en la caseta municipal. La música continúa con Vuelo Charter y A Fuego Lento. La Capilla se alza con la XV Copa Jerez de Polo en Santa María Polo Club Manuel Gil La Capilla se hizo con la XV Copa de Jerez de Polo, disputada en el Santa María Polo Club. El equipo integrado por Gaetan y Gaston Charloux, Patricio Neves y G. Pezzimenti venció por puntos en esta competición de bajo handicap. Horseware fue finalista, mientras que Esso acabó tercero en la clasificación. Un total de seis formaciones participaron en este torneo, con el que se inaugura la temporada de verano de polo en Sotogrande. La Copa Jerez de Polo está organi-

El equipo La Empresa vence el I Torneo 3x3 de baloncesto Feria de Guadiaro

Redacción Guadiaro celebró el pasado jueves 20 de junio la final de su I Torneo 3x3 de baloncesto, que se llevó el equipo de La Empresa al vencer a Los Amigos de Will por 21-18. El torneo comenzó el martes con la primera semifinal, en la que Los Amigos de Will vencieron por 21 -20 a los Rompehuesos. Por su parte, en la segunda semifinal, La Empresa lo tuvo más fácil, venciendo a Onneto paga lo que debes por 2111. Además de la final, se celebró el concurso de triples. Miguel Burrea, integrante de Los Ami-

gos de Will, fue el mejor tirador del concurso y Raúl Castro, de La Empresa, y ex jugador profesional, fue elegido mejor del torneo. El evento fue organizado por el Ayuntamiento de San Roque con la colaboración de Grupo de Amigos del Basket del Valle y la Comisión de Fiestas de Guadiaro con motivo de la celebración de la feria.

J. R. Gran día de golf en el Old Course de San Roque Club, cita correspondiente a la tercera prueba puntuable del calendario del VII Circuito de Golf Sotogrande. Con cerca de un centenar de jugadores, en las impresionantes instalaciones. El campo se presentó en unas espectaculares condiciones, con un tiempo muy agradable durante las primeras horas de la mañana. Con salida al tiro a las 9:00 h.; el centenar de participantes comenzaron un recorrido en muy

competitivo y no siempre sencillo, con calles ajustadas en algunos de los hoyos, que elevaron el listón de la jornada. Sin olvidar los búnkeres y obstáculos de agua que pusieron en aprietos a más de un jugador. Al término de la prueba deportiva, el inicio del evento social con el cóctel, degustación de bebidas, entrega de premios y sorteo de regalos. Respecto a los ganadores, Francisco Muñoz Montez se llevó el trofeo a la Bola más cercana (hoyo 3), mientras que el Drive

más largo fue para Inés Sastre y Maxim Kulyukin (premio para ambas categorías en el Hoyo 17). La categoría Damas fue a parar a manos de la gran triunfadora de la jornada, Inés Sastre, seguida de Luanica Pouroulis y Danielle Bostoen. Thierry Vanlier se llevó la victoria en la Segunda Cat. Caballeros, acompañado en el podio por Victor Nas Rodríguez y Craig Holmes. Por último, David MacGregor conquistó la Primera Categoría Caballeros, seguido de Joachim Rosli y Pedro Corral Pedruzo.

Old Course at San Roque Club, obligatory stop on the Circuit

Great day of golf at the Old Course of San Roque Club, the event corresponding to the third qualifying event of the calendar of the VII Sotogrande Golf Circuit. There were almost one hundred players at the impressive facilities. The course was in spectacular conditions, with very pleasant weather during the early hours of the morning. With a shotgun start at 9 am, the one hundred participants began a course that is very competitive and not always easy, with na-

rrow fairways on some of the holes, that raised the bar on the day. Also, we shouldn´t forget about the bunkers and water obstacles which cause problems for more than one player. At the end of the sporting event, it was time for the start of the social event with a cocktail, a drinks tasting, awards ceremony and prize draw. With regard to the winners, Francisco Muñoz Montez took the trophy for Closest Ball (hole 3) while the Longest Drive went

to Inés Sastre and Maxim Kulyukin (prize for both categories on Hole 17). The Women´s category went to the big winner of the day, Inés Sastre, followed by Luanica Pouroulis and Danielle Bostoen. Thierry Vanlier took victory in the Men´s Second Category, accompanied on the podium by Victor Nas Rodríguez and Craig Holmes. Lastly, David MacGregor won the Men´s First Category, followed by Joachim Rosli and Pedro Corral Pedruzo.

San Roque organiza su segundo campeonato de fútbol sala femenino

Redacción Lo organiza la entidad del C.D Fútbol Sala San Roque femenino, que realizará el sorteo de los cuatro grupos en juego, el lunes 15 de julio, en uno de los salones de las empresas colaboradoras. En ese sentido, Inti Ortega Tobar, presidente de la entidad sanroqueña, ha agradecido el numeroso soporte empresarial que ha apoyado la incitativa deportiva. Ha indicado que diferentes firmas comerciales de San Roque, Guadiaro, Torreguadiaro, San Enrique, Campamento y Línea de La Concepción no han dudado en aportar su granito de arena al desarrollo del mismo.

Por segundo año consecutivo, San Roque acogerá su campeonato de fútbol sala femenino, que se disputará el 20 de julio en el Complejo Deportivo Zona Norte de Pueblo Nuevo de Guadiaro. El torneo tendrá un máximo de 16 equipos, de los que nueve ya están confirmados. Son algunos de los mejores conjuntos de Cádiz y Málaga, procedentes de las ligas de Segunda Andaluza. El ganador se llevará un premio de 400 euros, y el subcampeón 200 euros. La cita, que pretende ser una fiesta del deporte, es una muestra más de la apuesta de la Diputación de Cádiz y del Ayuntamiento de San Roque por celebrar competiciones a nivel de clubes del fútbol sala femenino en reconocimiento a la importante labor de los equipos deportivos femeninos, y dar un impulso a las competiciones locales, comarcales y provinciales.

As always, it was a real success. A new edition of the Guadiaro Fair Golf Tournament brought together more than 250 participants on a day to be remembered where golf and a good atmosphere were the stars of the day. With a pairs competition, more than 130 pairings participated in this fantastic competition which serves as a gateway to the fair each year. After the day of sport, it was time for the traditional meal at the Club House and subsequent awards ceremony. Un espacio diseñado para colgar imágenes históricas, del archivo propiedad de Grupo HCP, en el que damos a conocer los comienzos de la urbanización e imágenes para el recuerdo de las últimas décadas. Además, durante todo este 2019, aprovechando el 40 aniversario de la agencia inmobiliaria Holmes Sotogrande, también se distribuirán con El Periódico de Sotogrande unas postales que aportarán más imágenes, datos curiosos y anécdotas de los primeros años de Sotogrande. ¡No se las pueden perder!
