La responsabilidad de Responsibility to invest in consumption invertir en consumo Antes o después (y todo indica que no será demasiado tarde), la relativa normalidad regresará a la vida social. Por supuesto que regresará y tendremos que estar preparados para ese momento. Una vez que se rebajen los niveles de aislamiento y la actividad productiva y de servicios se reactive de una manera óptima, el apoyo y solidaridad del resto de sectores será un pilar básico para la sostenibilidad económica de numerosos establecimientos y lugares a los que acostumbramos y nos gusta ir. Si una vez levanten la persiana el resto de sociedad consumidora no invierte parte de su capital o al menos una relativa cuota de lo que haya podido, entre otros, ahorrarse de gasto en la calle durante las últimas semanas, el problema será mayúsculo. El bar de siempre, la tienda de confianza o nuestra peluquería habitual necesitan, más que antes incluso, el apoyo de sus incondicionales para afrontar la viabilidad de un negocio que ha permanecido semanas cerrado al público, con nulos ingresos y consolidados gastos. En la medida de lo posible, en un ejercicio de responsabilidad común con todos los negocios que nos rodean y nos surten a diario, si parte de ese dinerillo que no nos hemos gastado en las últimas semanas de aislamiento no lo reinvertimos en los establecimientos a los que más fuerte ha azotado esta crisis del coronavirus, ese principio de solidaridad como sociedad que nos hemos dado entre todos, caerá en saco roto y en tela de juicio. Una muestra más de solidaridad, ante esta disyuntiva económica de la que ni aún los expertos tienen certezas de cómo vamos a escapar, es perfectamente el principio de kilómetro cero y esa forma de concebir ciertos conceptos del gasto y el autoservicio de cada individuo, impulsando el producto más inmediato. Por supuesto que las grandes superficies son indispensables en nuestro modelo de vida y hábitos de consumo. Pero el negocio que está en nuestra misma acera o en la contraria, la tienda del barrio o el bar de la esquina, más que nunca necesitan para seguir a flote, una vez levanten la persiana, de toda la sociedad. Invertir en consumo es clave para reflotar nuestra economía a pequeña y gran escala.

Sooner or later (and everything indicates that it won´t be too long), relative normality will return to social life. Of course it will return and we will have to be ready for that time. Once the levels of isolation drop and productive activity and services are restarted in an optimal manner, the support and solidarity from other sectors will be a basic pillar for the economic sustainability of several establishments and places that we are used to going and like going to. If, once the curtain is raised, the rest of consumer society does not invest part of its capital or at least a relative quota of what it has been able, among others, to save on spending in the streets over recent weeks, there will be a major problem. Our usual bar, trusted shops or regular hairdressers need, more than ever even, the support of their unconditional users to gain viability for their businesses that have been closed to the public for weeks, with zero income and consolidated expenses. As far as possible, in an exercise of shared responsibility towards all of the businesses that surround us and supply us on a daily basis, if we do not spend some of money that we have saved over the last few weeks of isolation by reinvesting it in establishments that have been hit hardest by this coronavirus crisis, that principle of solidarity that we have all given together, will go to waste and be called into question. Another example of solidarity, faced with this economic situation that not even the experts are sure about how we are going to get out of, is surely the kilometre zero principle and the way of approaching certain concepts of spending and self-service of each individual, encouraging the products closest to us. Of course, large stores are essential in our way of life and consumer habits. However, the businesses that are right down or street or across the road, the neighbourhood shops or the bar on the corner need all of society to remain afloat once the curtain comes up. Investing in consumption is essential to re-float our economy on a small and large scale.

Afrontamos unas semanas en las que la incertidumbre, el desconocimiento real de la situación y el rumbo de retorno hacia la normalidad social son nuestros grandes protagonistas y a la vez, los grandes interrogantes. En buena medida, “impulsado” por el inexacto y poco eficiente plan de ruta (si lo hubiera), que lleva siguiendo el Ejecutivo Central durante esta crisis del COVID-19. A nuestro entender, hastiados ya darle vueltas y repensar, nos parece ciertamente inútil preocuparnos por lo que no está en nuestra mano y difícilmente podemos solucionar (regreso a la rutina, reapertura de establecimientos y negocios, ventajas fiscales para apoyar la reactivación en marcha del tejido empresarial, reiniciar el modelo productivo y potenciar el consumo, etc.). Lo que sí está en nuestra mano y en ello ya trabajamos, es tener todas las herramientas necesarias para estar preparados llegado el momento. Es más, ya estar a pleno rendimiento cuando levanten la persiana. Por eso mismo, esta edición un tanto particular, ya que debíamos estar celebrando en Valderrama el título del nuevo ganador del Estrella Damm N.A. Andalucía Masters y con la mirada fijada en el desembarco del Ladies European Tour a La Reserva Club Sotogrande; apostamos ya por lo que será, si las circunstancias y el ‘bicho’ lo permite, un verano atípico pero igualmente concurrido y activo en Sotogrande. No se pierdan el reportaje que le hemos preparados con siete razones por las que Sotogrande se alza como uno de los destinos mejor acondicionados para la desescalada de niveles del confinamiento. Sus grandes y espaciosas villas, amplias avenidas, metros de playa de sobra por habitante, deportes individuales (o de baja concentración de personas como el golf, vela o polo) y al aire libre, una cobertura sanitaria privada y pública de primer nivel (a pocos kilómetros) y muchas razones más; nos dan motivos de sobra para estar convencidos de que todas estas situaciones a las que tendremos que adaptarnos en nuestro día a día (distancia de seguridad, baja aglomeración de personas, etc.), coinciden perfectamente con la cultura e infraestructuras que ofrece un destino como Sotogrande. Es más, por qué no. Quizás todo esto permita, al menos en cierta medida, una parcial reactivación del sector inmobiliario en el apartado de alquileres, una vez se restablezca (en el proceso de desescalada), el libre tránsito de personas entre ciudades y provincias. Sotogrande está perfectamente preparado para ello pero ¿y sus empresas? Una inyección económica importante para reactivar el consumo también se antoja necesaria, es el momento de apoyar con todas las fuerzas a los negocios locales que tantas semanas llevan padeciendo una pérdida constante de ingresos y estoicamente aguantan motivados por ese “esperado verano” por todos, con relativa normalidad. Evidentemente todo esto pasará factura, hará daño y nos obligará a reinventarnos. Pero si remamos todos en la misma dirección, con apoyos recíprocos y acuerdos empresariales entre sectores de la zona, una recuperación positiva y paulatina es posible. Especialmente en un lugar como Sotogrande. Y me aventuro a decir, que prácticamente, sólo es posible en un lugar como Sotogrande. Mucho ánimo a todos. We are facing weeks where uncertainty, real lack of knowledge about the situation and the way back towards social normality are taking centre stage once more and are also the big questions. To a large extent, “driven” by the inexact and not very efficient road map (if there was one), that the Central Executive is following during the COVID-19 crisis. That is why this edition is a little peculiar, as we should have been celebrating the title of the new winner at Valderrama of the Estrella Damm N.A. Andalucía Masters and looking ahead to the arrival of the Ladies European Tour at La Reserva Club Sotogrande; we are now committing to what will be, if circumstances and the “bug” allow it, an atypical yet equally busy and active summer in Sotogrande. Don´t miss the report that we have prepared with seven reasons why Sotogrande is one of the destinations that is best equipped for the de-escalation of confinement levels. Its large and spacious villas, wide avenues, abundance of beach space per inhabitant, individual sports (or with a low concentration of people such as golf, sailing and polo) and outdoor sports, top-quality private and public health coverage (a few kilometres away) and lots more reasons; give us an abundance of reasons to be convinced that all these situations that we will have to adapt in our daily lives (safe distancing, low concentration of people, etc.), perfectly coincide with the culture and infrastructures that a destination like Sotogrande offers. Furthermore, why not. Perhaps all of this will enable, at least to a certain extent, a partial reactivation of the property sector in terms of rent, once the free movement of people between cities and provinces is re-established (during the de-escalation process). Sotogrande is perfectly prepared for it, but what about its companies? An important economic injection to reactivate consumption is also necessary, it is time to support, with all the necessary force, the local businesses that have been suffering a constant loss of revenue for so many weeks and stoically holding on, motivated by the “eagerly awaited summer” of everyone, with relative normality. Obviously, all of this will have an impact, cause damage and force us to reinvent ourselves. However, if we all work in the same direction, with reciprocal support and business agreements between sectors in the area, positive and gradual recovery is possible. Especially in a place like Sotogrande. And I dare to say that it practically only possible in a place like Sotogrande. Lots of encouragement to everyone. Clases hasta junio, refuerzos en verano y aprobado general como norma • Educación acuerda con las comunidades que se mantendrá la actividad educativa durante el tercer trimestre, de momento a distancia, y que el curso no se prolongará más allá del mes de junio. • La promoción de curso será la norma general y la titulación debe ser la práctica habitual para aquellos alumnos que finalicen 4º de ESO o 2º de Bachillerato y FP. • Durante el periodo estival las administraciones organizarán o apoyarán la realización de actividades de refuerzo voluntarias. • Andalucía se desmarca el “aprobado general” y apuesta por una evaluación adaptada en el tercer trimestre que no perjudique a ningún alumno. La Conferencia Sectorial de Educación celebrada por videoconferencia y presidida por la ministra de Educación y Formación Profesional, Isabel Celaá, acordaron que, para que los estudiantes no pierdan el curso y puedan continuar avanzando en su formación, teniendo en cuenta de manera especial la situación de los más vulnerables, la evaluación será continua, la promo-

ción de curso será la norma general y la titulación debe ser la práctica habitual para aquellos alumnos que finalicen 4º de ESO o 2º de Bachillerato y FP. Una decisión que, en todo caso, será tomada por el claustro de profesores en su conjunto. Este tercer trimestre que acaba de comenzar se aprovechará para la recuperación, el repaso y el refuerzo con ac-

tividades globalizadoras e interdisciplinares y debidamente tutorizadas. La actividad se centrará en los aprendizajes y competencias imprescindibles evitando sobrecargar al alumnado. En el caso de que se mantenga la formación a distancia, se movilizarán los recursos y medios de apoyo necesarios para que el profesorado desarrolle su labor en las mejores condicio-

nes posibles. Además, durante este periodo, las administraciones y centros educativos harán un especial esfuerzo por identificar al alumnado que no está conectado y prepararán planes específicos de recuperación del vínculo escolar y de refuerzo que les ayuden a reincorporarse a la actividad educativa tan pronto como sea posible. Una vez finalizado el curso,

durante el verano, las administraciones organizarán o apoyarán la realización de actividades de refuerzo voluntarias combinadas con actividades lúdicas, contando con el concurso del voluntariado y en contacto con los centros educativos y sus docentes. De cara al próximo curso, el MEFP y las comunidades autónomas han acordado que las administraciones educativas,

los centros y el profesorado organizarán planes de recuperación y adaptación del currículo y de las actividades educativas, que permitan avanzar a todo el alumnado y especialmente de los más rezagados. Tal y como se acordó en la anterior conferencia sectorial, celebrada a finales de marzo, la EVAU/EBAU se celebrará entre el 22 de junio y el 10 de julio en convocatoria ordinaria y antes del 10 de septiembre en convocatoria extraordinaria, siempre y cuando la evolución de la pandemia lo permita.

Planes de la Junta de Andalucía El consejero de Educación y Deporte, Javier Imbroda, explico que Andalucía apostará por mantener el curso “reconociendo al alumno que haya podido continuar avanzando materia en el tercer trimestre, pero sin perjudicar al que no pueda adquirir conocimientos nuevos en este periodo”, ideas que han quedado recogidas en el documento propuesto. En esa línea, el trabajo que el alumnado no haya podido llevar a cabo en esta parte de curso no presencial, por dificultades de comunicación o acceso a la red digital, “se incorporará al curso siguiente, y para ello enviaremos unas instrucciones a los centros educativos el próximo lunes”. “Para Andalucía y el resto de España es muy importante que la colaboración institucional sea máxima y así lo hemos trasladado. Por esta razón, hemos propuesto la puesta en marcha de una red de colabo-

ración a nivel nacional para compartir las medidas que están tomando las distintas consejerías”, ha dicho Imbroda, que se ha comprometido a enviar las medidas que ya ha tomado el Gobierno andaluz y que serán actualizadas de forma periódica. Con el objetivo de implementar medidas de flexibilización para este curso y el

siguiente, y con la prioridad de que “ningún alumno se quede atrás”.

Ahead of next year, the Ministry of Education and Professional Training and the autonomous communities have agreed that the educational administrations, schools and teachers will organise plans for recovery and adaptation of the curriculum and educational activities, that will make it possible for all pupils to progress and especially those who are furthest behind. As agreed in the previous sector conference, held at the end of March, the selectivity exam will take place between 22 June and 10 July for the

El 27 de mayo de 2018 el corresponsal de la BBC en Madrid, James Badcock, publicó una entrevista hecha a un español que sobrevivió a la gripe española de 1918. Se llama o se llamaba Jose Ameal (Pepe para los amigos). Cuando se le hizo la entrevista este señor contaba con 103 años y todavía tenía buena salud. Pepe decía que planeaba vivir hasta los 110 años. “¿Para qué más?”, comentaba. Para este hombre que un día fue un niño enfermizo, los últimos 100 años habían sido una gran aventura que fácilmente podría haberse perdido. A sus 103 años José Ameal recordaba cómo sus tíos corrían las cortinas al lado de su cama “para que no viera las procesiones funerarias”. Pero como haría cualquier niño de 4 años Pepe miraba con curiosidad las calles de Luarca, la pequeña villa pesquera de Asturias en el norte de España donde nació. Era otoño de 1918 cuando Pepe se contagió con el virus de una enfermedad que todo el mundo acabó llamando gripe española, y que pasó a la historia como la peor pandemia del siglo XX después de dejar atrás unos 50 millones de muertos. Ameal era, muy probablemente, el superviviente de más edad en el país que le dio nombre al virus. Pero los expertos creen que los orígenes de esta enfermedad infecciosa están fuera de España. Descubrir dónde, exactamente, es lo que todavía genera debate. ¿De dónde llegó realmente el virus? No hay concenso. En el pasado, algunos investigadores afirmaron que la pandemia de influenza empezó en Francia en 1916 o en China y Vietnam en 1917. Investigaciones más recientes sugieren que el virus se originó en Estados Unidos en 1916, y que llegó a Europa cuando las tropas estadounidenses fueron a luchar en la Primera Guerra Mundial en 1917. Los contagiados presentaban síntomas como debilidad y neumonía, problemas estomacales, dificultades para respirar, confu-

sión y fiebre. Donde fuera que se originó esta letal cepa del virus H1N1, la enfermedad se propagó en Europa como fuego descontrolado en medio de las condiciones antihigiénicas y de hacinamiento que había en las trincheras y en los campos de entrenamiento. Para principios de 1918, la pandemia mundial estaba en pleno apogeo. En Estados Unidos, los registros de la época hablan de calles vacías por el miedo a salir a la calle y cruzarse con quienes sufrían la enfermedad. Hubo casos similares de la letal gripe en muchos otros países como México, Rusia, Irán, Nueva Zelanda, Argelia, las Islas Fiji y Gambia, por mencionar algunos, y pasó un año antes de que llegara a controlarse en 1919. ¿Por qué España se llevó la fama? Según informa el sr. Badcock, las noticias sobre la pandemia fueron censuradas en los países que estaban en guerra para evitar desmoralizar a las tropas y evitar darle al enemigo una herramienta propagandística. Así que fue en España, un país neutral en la Primera Guerra Mundial, emergieron con trasparencia las noticias sobre los galopantes casos de gripe, lo cual dio pie a su apodo internacional como “gripe española”. El propio Rey Alfonso XIII estuvo entre los estimados ocho millones de españoles contagiados por el virus de una población total de menos de 21 millones. En un contexto social en el que el acceso a los cuidados médicos y medicinas era muy limitado para la población general, murieron al menos 260.000 personas. El asturiano dice que quienes como él sobrevivieron al virus en Luarca probablemente le deban mucho a un médico llamado Don Ceferino, que visitaba a los enfermos sin cobrarles. Ahora, más de 100 años después y en una historia parecida, sigue habiendo muchas manos generosas que al igual que Don Ceferino se entregan para ayudar a los demás, sin esperar nada a cambio más que la sanación del enfermo y su posterior sonrisa.

The helping hands of Don Ceferino On 27 May 2018 the BBC correspondent in Madrid, James Badcock, published an interview with a Spaniard who had survived the Spanish flu of 1918. His name was José Ameal (Pepe to his friends). When the interview took place this man was 103 years old and was still in good health. Pepe said that he planned to live to the age of 110 years. “Why more?” he stated. For this man who was once a sickly child, the last 100 years had been a great adventure that he easily could have missed out on. Aged 103, José Ameal remembered how his uncles pulled the curtains next to his bed “so he wouldn´t see the funeral processions”. However, like any 4-year-old child, Pepe looked out curiously onto the streets of Luarca, the small fishing village in Asturias, northern Spain, where he was born. It was autumn 1918 when Pepe caught the virus of an illness that everyone ended up calling the Spanish flu, and that went down in history as the worst pandemic in the 20th century, leaving 50 million fatalities in its wake. Ameal was, very probably, the oldest survivor in the country that the virus was named after. However, the experts believe that the origin of this infectious illness lies outside of Spain. Discovering where exactly is still a source of debate. Where did the virus really come from? There is no consensus. In the past, some researchers stated that the influenza pandemic began in France in 1916 or in China and Vietnam in 1917. More recent studies suggest that the virus originated in the United States in 1916, and reached Europe when American soldiers went off to fight in the First World War in 1917. Those infected had symptoms such as weakness and pneumonia, stomach problems, difficulty breathing, confusion and fever.

Regardless of where this lethal strain of the H1N1 virus originated, the illness spread in Europe like wildfire in the midst of the unhygienic conditions and overcrowding in the trenches and training camps. By the start of 1918, the global pandemic was at its peak. In the United States, records from the time recall streets emptied from a fear of going out and encountering those who suffered the illness. There were similar cases of the deadly flu in many other countries such as Mexico, Russia, Iran, New Zealand, Algeria, the Fiji Islands and Gambia, to mention a few, and a year passed before it was brought under control in 1919. Why did Spain become known for it? According to Mr Badcock, news about the pandemic was censored in countries that were at war in order not to demoralise troops and provide the enemy with a propaganda tool. Thus, in Spain, a neutral country in the First World War, news about the spiralling flu cases emerged in a transparent manner, which gave rise to the international nickname “Spanish flu”. King Alfonso XIII himself was among the estimated eight million Spaniards infected by the virus from a total population of fewer than 21 million. In a social context where access to medical care and medicine was very limited for the general public, at least 260,000 people died. The Asturian said that those who, like him, survived the virus in Luarca probably owe a lot to a doctor named Don Ceferino, who visited the sick without charging them. Pagar la cuenta La pandemia ha ensombrecido a España con miles de muertos. Y su coste económico será abultado en términos de paro e impuestos. El desempleo aumentaba ya en 2019, pero la pandemia lo ha hecho explotar. Las estimaciones de organismos públicos y privados, como el Fondo Monetario Internacional o el BBVA, pronostican para este año una tasa de paro superior al 20 % de la población activa. La desocupación se cebará en las regiones donde tengan más peso los sectores económicos más expuestos al cierre de la economía. Es lo que sucede con nuestra Andalucía, debido principalmente al turismo y la hostelería. Algo parecido puede afirmarse en relación con la Hacienda Pública. Su situación ya se estaba deteriorando el año pasado, y la crisis de 2020 será catastrófica, con un déficit estimado en el 9,5 % del PIB, el más alto de Europa. Esto abocará al Estado español a una situación insostenible, que en teoría debería ser ajustada mediante una combinación de las tres medidas clásicas: menos gasto, más deuda y más impuestos. Y las tres resultan problemáticas.

Paying the bill

Es difícil bajar el gasto cuando el Gobierno ya lo estaba incrementando irresponsablemente antes del virus, y la tendencia se acentuará considerablemente en 2020, no solo por la caída en la actividad, que disparará las prestaciones por desempleo, sino por las propias iniciativas gubernamentales, como la llamada “renta mínima”. Siempre se puede aumentar la deuda, pero su coste probablemente tenderá a subir, y esto significa menos dinero para atender a los demás capítulos del gasto. Por fin, la subida de impuestos es políticamente delicada para el Gobierno, en la medida en que no pueda convencer a la población con la habitual excusa de que los mayores impuestos solo recaerán sobre “los ricos”. En resumen, la cuenta de esta pandemia la van a pagar, como siempre, la mayoría de los ciudadanos, porque se quedarán sin trabajo y, los que tengan la suerte de conservar el empleo, serán empobrecidos por los mayores impuestos. Consuela pensar, sin embargo, que la factura será también política, y que las autoridades deberán hacerle frente, tarde o temprano.

Lastly, the rise in taxes in politically delicate for the Government, in so far as it cannot convince the population with the standard excuse that higher taxation will only affect “the rich”. In summary, the bill for this pandemic will be paid, as always, by the majority of citizens, because they will be left without work and, those who are lucky enough to keep their jobs, will be left poorer by higher taxes. However, it is comforting to think that the bill will also be political, and that the authorities will have to pay it sooner or later.

La residencias de mayores de San Enrique, ‘limpia’ de coronavirus M. Gil / Redacción Los resultados de los tests realizados en las últimas horas por la Junta de Andalucía en los centros ubicados en San Enrique y Campamento también han sido negativos para la enfermedad. Por lo tanto, se puede afirmar que la totalidad de los 120 residentes en las tres instalaciones de este tipo que funcionan en el municipio de San Roque no han contraído el Covid-19, al igual que los trabajadores de las mismas. El alcalde, Juan Carlos Ruiz Boix, explicó que llegado la confirma-

ción por parte del Área de Gestión Sanitaria del Campo de Gibraltar de que todos los tests realizados en la Residencia de Mayores de la Fundación La Milagrosa, de San Enrique, y en la residencia privada Pergomar, situada en Campamento, han sido negativos al Covid-19. Ruiz Boix no ha ocultado su satisfacción y ha felicitado a los responsables y al personal de ambas instalaciones. En el caso de la Residencia de la Fundación La Milagrosa, el número de usuarios asciende a 40

personas, y se encarga de la gestión la ONG Mensajeros de la Paz, a la que el alcalde felicitó por el excelente servicio que presta. El Ayuntamiento participa en la Fundación La Milagrosa como patrono, y todos los años realiza una aportación económica para el sostenimiento del centro. “De esta manera -indicó-, tanto los 50 usuarios de la Residencia de San Roque, de propiedad municipal, como los 50 de La Milagrosa y los 30 de Campamento, en total 120 personas, están libres de co-

Una empresa local dona ‘tablets’ para conectar a los mayores de las residencias con sus familias M. Gil / Redacción Gran gesto solidario y necesario en estos días. La empresa sanroqueña Teletronic ha querido que estos duros días de confinamiento por el coronavirus sean más llevaderos para los usuarios de las tres residencias de mayores del municipio. Con el fin de que estos mayores, que no pueden recibir visitas durante el estado de alarma, puedan sentir el calor de sus familiares, ha donado varias tablets para que gracias a la tecnología puedan comunicarse por videoconferencia.

Tal y como indicó la primera autoridad municipal, Juan Carlos Ruiz Boix, en las redes sociales, “lo siento por Roberto y Carlos Trujillo de Teletronic, pero voy a incumplir el compromiso de anonimato. Creo que todos debemos ser agradecidos”, aseguró. Pero el alcalde dio un paso más en este gesto solidario, animando a todos los vecinos que tengan pendiente alguna reparación u otra actividad o servicio que ofrezca Teletronic que colabore también con ellos en esta tarea altruista. COVID-19 El Gobierno reduce el IVA digital en un 4% para prensa y libros electrónicos M. Gil / Redacción En el Boletín Oficial del Estado (BOE) publicado el 22 de abril aparece la rebaja del IVA digital, del 21% al 4%. El impuesto sobre el valor añadido para publicaciones de prensa y libros electrónicos será a partir de ahora el mismo que ya se aplica a esos mismos productos en su versión impresa. La aplicación del IVA digital del 4%, que exigen las disposiciones europeas, es una de las reivindicaciones que la Asociación Española de Editoriales de Publicaciones Periódicas ha incluido en el Plan de medidas urgentes para el sector que ha presentado al Gobierno junto a Asociación Revistas de Información (ARI), Asociación de Prensa Profesional y Contenidos Multimedia (Coneqtia) y Asociación de Revistas Cultu-

rales de España (ARCE). El BOE explica que “dado que el confinamiento ha hecho incrementar la demanda de productos culturales y de información de los ciudadanos, para facilitar el acceso a los libros, periódicos y revistas digitales, a través de una disposición final se reduce al 4 por ciento el tipo impositivo aplicable a los mismos, a la vez que se elimina la discriminación existente en materia de tipos impositivos entre el libro físico y el libro electrónico”. El IVA digital ha sido una reivindicación constante de la AEEPP y de otras asociaciones sectoriales ante los Ejecutivos de los últimos años. La aprobación de la medida es bien acogida, como lo han sido otras como la moratoria de las coti-

zaciones sociales a la seguridad social o los programas de financiación para las pequeñas y medianas empresas. Con todo, aún es necesario que el Gobierno apruebe medidas para un sector que ha considerado esencial y mantiene su actividad pese al enorme descenso de los ingresos (por ventas y por publicidad), que ha puesto en cuestión la viabilidad futura de muchas empresas editoriales. Entre las propuestas de la AEEPP, junto con ARI, ARCE y Coneqtia, se encuentran: Reconocimiento del servicio público de información y entretenimiento de las publicaciones periódicas y la concesión de ayuda directa para compensar la caída de la publicidad y la difusión.

Advertising and institutional communication campaigns, organised transparently and with the participation of the sector associations, in all the periodic print and digital publications at market price. Tax relief for investors in advertising that is intended for periodical publications, paper and

digital, as a means of supporting this sector of special interest. Urgent implementation of payments owed by the Public Administrations to editors, distributors and kiosk owners, for the return of taxes, advertising campaigns or any other concept. Suspension of Property Tax (IBI) on points of sale of periodical publications during the 2020 tax year.

Aunque la festividad de Nuestra Señora de Fátima se celebra el 13 de mayo, que este año cae en miércoles, la verbena se lleva a cabo tradicionalmente un sábado y la romería el domingo siguiente.

El Gobierno anunció que los pequeños podrían acompañar a los adultos al supermercado, a la farmacia o al centro de salud. La medida que generó una gran tormenta política y social que hizo al Ejecutivo rectificar y anunciar horas más tarde que lo que podrán hacer los niños es salir de paseo.

Expertos coinciden en que el turismo local y nacional es la gran oportunidad para reflotar la economía del sector. Más del 70% sólo se plantearía España como destino vacacional. Las preferencias de los ciudadanos están, predominantemente, en los puntos de playa. Más del 90% de los españoles afirman, en caso de que lo permitan la pandemia y las circunstancias económicas y laborales, que mantendría su plan vacacional si se garantiza la seguridad del destino.

A pesar de todas las incertidumbres que la evolución de la pandemia del coronavirus está instalando en prácticamente todos los sectores de la economía, el tejido empresarial turístico piensa, en un prisma positivo de la situación futura, que el verano aún po-

dría recuperarse y fortalecer sus números para 2020, pese al obvio daño que hará en sus finanzas. La recuperación en este sector será lenta, ahora bien, será de los primeros en ir viendo los pequeños avances, una vez el gobierno levante el estado de alarma,

opción para este año, 2 de cada 3 españoles (68,8%) planifica pasar sus vacaciones en España, según los resultados del estudio. En preferencias de destinos, el 49,4% quiere la playa; el 26% la montaña; y el 24,7% la ciudad. Algo que hace pensar en la proximidad del período estival al que nos acercamos. Según el 58,7% de los usua-

rios encuestados, sus vidas diarias no se han visto afectadas por la pandemia. Mientras que el 27,3% ha sufrido una reducción de jornada laboral y sueldo, y el 14,3% de los encuestados ha perdido el trabajo. Entre los entrevistados, el 93,7% han declarado que este año sí se irán de vacaciones (si las circunstancias lo permiten), mientras tan solo un

6,3% no podrá realizarlas. Un dato que hace pensar en una recuperación de la economía mucho más rápida para volver a la normalidad. ¿Distancia de seguridad y apuesta por lo nacional?

Desde GRUPO CONTASULT, queremos recordaros que estamos trabajando a pleno rendimiento a fin de apoyar a PYMES, autónomos, trabajadores y resto de personas que necesiten de nuestra ayuda y asesoramiento. Gracias a los avances tecnológicos, hemos podido implementar el teletrabajo, para poder atender al mayor número de personas posible, manteniendo nuestra cercanía en estos tiempos de distanciamiento social. Nos gustaría ofreceros un pequeño resumen de las más recientes medidas que se han ido implementado, destinadas a aliviar la situación en que se encuentran sumidas PYMES, autónomos, etc. Así, El 2 de abril, entró en vigor el subsidio extraordinario para empleados de hogar, por el que, en el caso de imposibilidad de prestar servicios en el hogar, se puede tramitar tanto cese temporal como resolución del contrato laboral del empleado, teniendo este derecho en el caso de resolución a indemnización por desistimiento. Si optan por el cese temporal o extinción de contrato, no tendrán que abonar la Seguridad Social y podrán volver a ser empleados cuando finalicen las circunstancias extraordinarias. Requisitos: • Haber estado de alta antes del 14/03/2020. • Haber dejado de prestar servicios, total o parcialmente, con carácter temporal con motivo de la crisis sanitaria del COVID-19. • Extinción del contrato de trabajo por causa de despido o desistimiento del empleador por motivos de la crisis sanitaria del COVID-19. Cuantía subsidio: 70% de la base reguladora diaria al mes anterior a la extinción del contrato. (Límite máximo: 950€). Compatibilidades e incompatibilidades: compatible con otras percepciones derivadas de actividad por cuenta propia o ajena, siempre que la suma de los ingresos por subsidio y resto de actividades no sea superior a 950€. Será incompatible con subsidio por incapacidad temporal (baja por enfermedad) y permiso retribuido recuperable para trabajadores por cuenta ajena. El 11 de abril, se emitió una orden de ayudas para el pago del

alquiler, cuya solicitud se encuentra pendiente de regulación, destinada a personas físicas arrendatarias de vivienda habitual que acrediten estar en situación de vulnerabilidad económica y social, sobrevenida como consecuencia del COVID-19, tan pronto como esté regulada la solicitud ofreceremos mayor información. Como ayuda más reciente, nos encontramos con ayudas de 300€ para autónomos y mutualistas afectados por la crisis del COVID-19, empadronados en Andalucía. Esta ayuda consiste en un único pago de 300€, el límite para formular la solicitud es de 15 días después de finalizado el Estado de alarma y estas ayudas podrán concederse hasta agotar el presupuesto de 50M de euros. Podrán ser beneficiarios los autónomos y mutualistas que trabajen en servicios esenciales y hayan visto mermada su actividad. Para ello existe listado de actividades subvencionables. Requisitos: • Trabajador por cuenta propia o autónomo con domicilio fiscal en Andalucía. • Estar afiliado al RETA (por cuenta propia o autónomo) o mutualidad correspondiente. • Autónomo que tenga en su declaración de la renta una base liquidable general y del ahorro no superior a 3 veces el salario mínimo inter profesional (39.900€ individual y 53.200€ conjunta). • No haberse acogido a la prestación extraordinaria por cese de actividad del RDL 29 de marzo. • Estar al corriente con la Administración Pública. • Deben mantener de forma ininterrumpida su condición de autónomo durante al menos el tiempo en que se mantenga el Estado de alarma. Queremos recordaros que en este artículo tan solo se recogen estas medidas de manera resumida, para vuestra información y que si necesitáis ayuda en la solicitud o tramitación de estas ayudas, así como cualquier información o asistencia relacionada con ésta o cualquier otra cuestión, nuestro equipo estará encantado de atenderos. Thanks to technological advances, we have been able to implement teleworking, in order to assist the largest possible number of people, maintaining our closeness at this time of social distancing. We would like to offer you a little summary of the most recent measures that have been implemented, aimed at alleviating the situation that SME´s, self-employed workers, etc. find themselves in. Thus, On 2 April, the extraordinary subsidy for domestic staff, came into force, whereby, if it is not possible to provide services in the home, it is possible to process both temporary cessation and the termination of the working contract of the employee, using this right in the event of a ruling for compensation due to discontinuance. If you opt for temporary cessation or the termination of the contract, you will not have to pay Social Security and it will be possible to become employees again when the extraordinary circumstances end. Teletrabajo y confinamiento: 8 de cada 10 españoles ha sufrido dolor de espalda

Redacción No es atrevido sostener que más del 80 % de los españoles ha tenido dolor de espalda en su vida y aunque puede tener diversos orígenes, la gran mayoría de las veces es por malos hábitos posturales, según detalla uno de los informes publicados más reciente por el prestigoso portal de salud y belleza Nutritienda. Casi un 20 % tiene esta patología como crónica, y ahora, que por las circunstancias que se viven en España con el estado de alarma uno tiene menos movilidad y se hace menos deporte, es muy importante prestar atención y hacer ciertas rutinas para que nuestra salud muscular no se resienta. El dolor de espalda es el más común entre los españoles, pero también el de cuello, cabeza y hombros. Cada vez se sufre más el llamado “síndrome de cuello de texto”, es un síndrome causado por la apa-

rición de un dolor constante en el cuello, cabeza y hombros a causa de una mala postura, ocasionada por el abuso frecuente de dispositivos electrónicos. Es un padecimiento que generalmente lo sufren las personas jóvenes o los trabajadores al pasar demasiadas horas utilizando algún tipo de dispositivo sin cuidar la postura, no aparece de manera inmediata pero poco a poco se va sintiendo un dolor en los hombros, rigidez en el cuello, contractura en las cervicales y, a medida que pasa el tiempo, se van comprometiendo otras partes de la columna. Pautas para mejorar los hábitos posturales: 1. Sentarse con la espalda erguida y para mantener bien la postura mantener los músculos del abdomen contraídos. 2. Al mirar al teléfono ubicarlo frente a los ojos, de esta manera

el cuello permanecerá recto. Además, cuando se lee, hay que recorrer el texto con los ojos sin mover el cuello. 3. En el espacio de trabajo, que actualmente, para muchos españoles es el propio hogar hay que intentar que la pantalla, la silla y el

teclado estén a una altura y distancia adecuadas. Es decir, el borde superior del ordenador debe de estar a la altura de los ojos y a una distancia de entre 40 y 75 cm de ellos, el teclado a unos 10 cm del borde de la mesa para poder apoyar adecuadamente los

antebrazos, estos últimos tienen que estar en una posición de 90º con los brazos. Por último, el ratón siempre situarlo cerca del teclado. 4. Si uno se acuesta en la cama utilizando el teléfono móvil, hay que intentar que el cuello y la espalda estén bien sostenidos por almohadas. 5. Si permanecemos sentados durante mucho tiempo hay que cambiar de posición, levantarse, estirar las piernas e incluso descansar cinco minutos, la columna lo agradecerá. 6.Si se trabaja con ordenador, cada hora es importante enfocar la vista en objetos más lejanos para descansar los ojos. 7. Realizar ejercicios de estiramientos para disminuir los dolores musculares. Se pueden hacer al levantarse, al acostarse o durante el día.

En estas semanas de confinamiento en Puertoblanco-Montecalpe seguimos con la tarea que más nos ilusiona: estar cerca de nuestros alumnos y sus familias, ahora a través de Attendis at Home. Este sistema de trabajo y aprendizaje online, permite continuar con el ritmo habitual de las clases. Desde el colegio les seguimos acompañando día a día para que sientan el aliento y apoyo de sus profesores. Especialmente a los alumnos de 2º de Bachillerato que, como Julia, Belén y Antonio en un fin de curso lleno de incertidumbres, afrontan con madurez y responsabilidad la culminación de su etapa escolar. De igual modo acompañamos a sus familias para las que la graduación de sus hijos, es el colofón al proyecto educativo por el que apostaron. ¿En qué ha cambiado tu forma de estudiar con el inicio del confinamiento? Julia: Durante estos días he tenido que adaptarme a esta situación excepcional marcándome unas nuevas pautas de estudio, compartiendo el mismo espacio y recursos con los miembros de mi familia. Hemos aprendido a ser más flexibles y a saber aprovechar mejor los tiempos de estudio. ¿Cuál es para ti el mayor reto de la enseñanza online? Los alumnos de 2º de bachillerato afrontan un fin de curso atípico estamos acostumbrados, manteniendo el ritmo habitual de estudio con las herramientas que poseemos. Los profesores, para ello, nos han adaptado las programaciones, dándole un mayor peso a los ejercicios diarios y el trabajo en clase. Julia: En un principio pensaba que iba a ser todo mucho más complicado, pero con la ayuda de todas las profesoras no se está haciendo tan cuesta arriba. Ellas están poniendo todo de su parte para que esta situación no nos supere y día tras día nos demuestran su apoyo y su disponibilidad para cualquier cosa. ¡Es un lujo! ¿Cómo afrontas la actual incertidumbre sobre la EBAU? Belén: En estos momentos, tal y como nos recomiendan nuestras

profesoras, sigo estudiando al mismo ritmo, teniendo en cuenta las nuevas fechas de exámenes. Sobre todo, creo que lo más importante es fijarse metas y no desaprovechar el tiempo. Antonio: Para mí es un tanto complicado no por el temario ni por cómo vamos a llegar de preparados, sino por la incertidumbre de no tener claro aún cómo se va a desarrollar. Julia: Aunque esta situación causa cierta inquietud y agobia bastante, confío en que los organismos encargados de tomar las decisiones respecto a selectividad sean sensibles a la realidad en la que nos encontramos. ¿Cómo organizas tu jornada/rutina diaria? Belén: Por la mañana tengo clases

Y sobre todo aprender de lo que estamos viviendo. Si pudieras dar un mensaje al mundo en estos días ¿cuál sería? Julia: Me gustaría pedir que haya gran empatía entre nosotros. Creo que estos días es imprescindible más que nunca pensar en los demás y ponernos en el lugar del otro, pues solo así podremos mejorar esta realidad. myself. Manuel Gil La Real Escuela Andaluza del Arte Ecuestre (REAAE), fundación dependiente de la Consejería de Turismo, Regeneración, Justicia y Administración Local de la Junta de Andalucía, presentó la iniciativa #RealEscuelaEnCasa, que busca hacer más ameno el confinamiento provocado como consecuencia del coronavirus. La institución ecuestre emitirá en streaming, a través de su perfil en Facebook, el espectáculo ‘Cómo Bailan los Caballos Andaluces’, mundial-

mente conocido por saber combinar el arte y la cultura de una tradición milenaria. Que ya se puede disfrutar desde el portal de Facebook de la fundación. ‘Cómo Bailan los Caballos Andaluces’ es un auténtico ballet ecuestre con música netamente española y vestuario a la usanza del siglo XVIII. Está montado sobre coreografías extraídas de las reprises de la doma clásica y vaquera, así como de otros trabajos de la equitación tradicional. En cada representación se realizan de

6 a 8 coreografías, manteniendo todas ellas un alto nivel de espectacularidad. La Real Escuela Andaluza del Arte Ecuestre tenía previsto realizar más de 130 representaciones de este espectáculo en sus instalaciones a lo largo del año 2020. Debido a la alerta sanitaria declarada en todo el país, la iniciativa #RealEscuelaEnCasa busca ahora hacer llegar el arte de los Pura Raza Española y su espectáculo a todos los hogares de manera totalmente gratuita.

Una cita que este año no podrá disputarse en su fecha habitual (por motivos evidentes) pero que se trata de una de las semanas más especiales para los amantes del golf en Sotogrande. Desde el punto de vista histórico, a la competición se le ha conocido por varios nombres: Copa Sotogrande ó Campeonato Europeo de Naciones, que nació a raíz de un torneo en la ‘Semana Internacional’ que celebraba el Real Club, en sus inicios. Más tarde, al inicio de la década de los 70, el Consejo Regulador de Vinos de Jerez asumió el patro-

cinio principal de la prueba y pasó a llamarse Copa Jerez, sobrenombre por el que se le ha conocido tradicionalmente. “Trabajamos para celebrar un torneo de máximo nivel y en las fechas previstas” • El Periódico de Sotogrande habla con uno de los grandes responsables del polo en Sotogrande para conocer en qué estado se encuentra la temporada y qué posibilidades hay de que se dispute el Torneo Internacional este verano. Manuel Gil En el momento y caso de que la normativa lo permita, ¿la temporada de polo en Sotogrande arrancaría directamente con su calendario habitual o todos los escenarios apuntan ya, directa y únicamente a la celebración del Torneo Internacional? La emergencia sanitaria también ha afectado al calendario habitual del Santa María Polo Club y hemos tenido que cancelar varios torneos de la temporada de primavera. Debemos de seguir a la espera de las decisiones que se vayan tomando desde las administraciones con respecto a la salida de esta crisis. Hay que tener también en cuenta que los caballos necesitan de un periodo de entrenamiento antes de volver a la competición y que puedan recuperar un estado físico óptimo. No obstante, desde el punto de vista operativo estamos preparados para retomar la actividad en cuanto sea posible, nuestras canchas están en un estado óptimo para el juego. ¿Sería posible plantear una competición de primer nivel con un cierto control del público y guardando las distancias de seguridad? Teniendo en cuenta las amplias instalaciones de Santa María Polo Club y sus enormes posibilidades. Como comentamos anteriormente, estamos a la espera de saber si podemos celebrar com-

peticiones deportivas y las condiciones en la que se deberían de desarrollar las mismas. En función de ellas, analizaremos los condicionantes siempre pensando en la seguridad de nuestros polistas, trabajadores y público asistente. El gran espacio del que disponemos, y el estar todo al aire libre, siempre será una aspecto positivo importante a tener en cuenta, somos los primeros en querer tener actividad en el club, pero siempre respetando las medidas que nos impongan desde las administraciones, y como comentamos, la seguridad de todos los participantes. ¿Cómo afectaría a la restauración y el apartado comercial y lúdico? Todavía es pronto para saber las repercusiones que pudiera tener la pandemia en el diseño del torneo a nivel de detalle. En cualquier caso, la oferta comercial, lúdica y de cualquier índole se adaptará a las posibilidades que existan en ese momento y a las condiciones que indiquen las autoridades, como no podía ser de otra forma. ¿En el mejor de los casos, qué fechas manejáis? El Santa María Polo Club no ha modificado las fechas previstas para la 49ª edición del Torneo Internacional de Polo. Estamos trabajando en la organización de la competición pendientes de la evolución de los aconteci-

Hay diferentes posibilidades en función de los escenarios que vengan. No hay certezas absolutas. Tenemos la capacidad de adaptarnos a las circunstancias y hacer los cambios que sean pertinentes tras un análisis exhaustivo de las posibilidades, sobre todo de la disponibilidad de los equipos.

Se habla de que la temporada inglesa de polo podría desplazarse algunas semanas en el mes de agosto. ¿Cuánto afectaría esta circunstancia a Sotogrande y a la composición de fixture atractivo de equipos y jugadores estrella? Nosotros trabajamos con las fechas ya anunciadas y reiteremos que nuestra aspiración es celebrar un torneo del máximo nivel posible. ¿Se plantean en algún escenario un 2020 sin polo en Sotogrande? Hay motivos para ser optimistas en Sotogrande por su entorno y clima, idóneos para la desescalada del aislamiento. Nuestra ilusión es que Sotogrande pueda disfrutar de nuevo con el polo, somos

conscientes de lo mal que lo están pasando muchas personas, y el hecho de que pudiéramos tener competiciones, significará que las cosas marchan mejor, y eso sería una estupenda noticia para todos, pero debemos de seguir haciendo caso a lo que nos indican desde las administraciones, y mantenernos con los pies en el suelo, lo principal ahora es la seguridad de las personas, y estar preparados para cualquier escenario que se pueda dar. Queremos aprovechar la oportunidad para agradecer el esfuerzo de la sociedad, y sobre todo a aquellas personas que están al pie del cañón todos los días y que nos ayudan a superar juntos esta emergencia sanitaria.

crowds and maintaining safe distances? Bearing in mind the spacious facilities at Santa María Polo Club and its enormous possibilities. As we mentioned previously, we are waiting to find out if we can hold sporting competitions and the conditions that they should be held under. According to them, we will analyse the conditions always thinking of the safety of our polo players, workers and public in attendance. That we have, and having everything outdoors will always be a positive factor to take into consideration, we are the first people who want to have activity at the club, but always while respecting the measures that the administrations impose, and as we mentioned, the safety of all the participants. How would it affect restaurants and shopping and recreation? It is still too early to know the impact that the pandemic could have on the design of

the tournament in terms of details. In any case, the range of shopping, recreation and of any kind will adapt to the possibilities that exist at the time and the conditions outlined by the authorities, as you would expect. In the best case scenario, what dates are you considering? Santa María Polo Club has not changed the scheduled dates for the 49th edition of the International Polo Tournament. We are working to organise the competition as we await the development of events and the measures to be adopted by authorities. According to these variables, we will take the relevant decisions, which we will punctually report on. If it is necessary to change schedules, what other periods are being considered? Could they be extended or moved to a certain extent towards September? Could certain competitions in

spring that have been postponed be recovered during the autumn period? There are different options according to the scenarios that arise. There are no absolute certainties. We have the ability to adapt to the circumstances and make the relevant changes following exhaustive analysis of the options, and above all according to the availability of teams. El VIII Circuito de Golf Sotogrande regresará en 2021 • La incertidumbre sobre el reinicio de las actividades cotidianas y la concentración de personas en competiciones deportivas convierten el aplazamiento a la próxima temporada del torneo, en la decisión más oportuna y responsable en estos momentos. • Desde la organización: agradecer el apoyo incondicional de patrocinadores, marcas colaboradoras, campos y jugadores, durante estas últimas semanas. Esta decisión se toma de manera cautelar, siempre condicionada, a la evolución o proceso de desescalada del confinamiento por el estado de alarma. • El comité deportivo del torneo ya estudia la celebración de una prueba extraordinaria este mismo verano. Pasión por el golf pero con responsabilidad y seguridad como prioridad. Ante este incierto horizonte de fechas como el que se maneja en estos momentos, por la prolongación del estado de alarma y las medidas de confinamiento, la organización del Circuito de Golf Sotogrande decidió aplazar hasta el próximo año la octava edición del torneo. La imposibilidad de fijar, con seguridad, un calendario de fechas sólido y estable para la disputa de las pruebas (el 25 de abril tenía que celebrarse la prueba inaugural en el Real

Club Sevilla Golf que ya fue aplazada hace un mes), deja pocas opciones realistas y con garantías que la de aplazar la competición hasta la próxima temporada.
