El mítico e histórico dicho de que “la libertad de uno termina dónde la del otro empieza”, en esta ocasión, se puede perfectamente intercambiar la palabra “libertad” por la de “seguridad” y seguiría contando con gran vigencia y con un enorme contexto y sentido en este complejo verano que atravesamos, disfrutamos y en ocasiones padecemos. La aparición de incontables brotes de contagiados por COVID-19 en diferentes puntos del país se está traduciendo en un regreso escalonado y esparcido de confinamientos localizados y de reciclaje y renovación de todas aquellas prácticas que durante semanas fielmente seguimos todos los ciudadanos, tan buenos resultados otorgó, y que ahora parece estamos relajando en nuestras conductas.

The mythical and historical saying that “a person’s freedom ends where another man’s freedom begins”, on this occasion, it is perfectly possible to exchange the word “freedom” with “safety” and it will remain very valid and with an enormous context and meaning during this complex summer that we are going through, enjoying and sometimes suffering. The emergence of numerous outbreaks of infections caused by COVID-19 in different parts of the country is resulting in a staggered and scattered return of localised confinements and recycling and renewal of all the practices that all the citizens faithfully followed for weeks, with very good results, and it seems we are relaxing our behaviour.

La Junta de Andalucía aprobó finalmente esta misma semana la obligatoriedad de la mascarilla en la inmensa mayoría de espacios sociales, incluyendo en playas y piscina (con las excepciones de bañarse o mientras se permanezca en la parcela individual o grupal correspondiente).

This week the Regional Government of Andalusia finally approved the necessity to wear a mask in the vast majority of social spaces, including beaches and pools (with the exception of when bathing or when remaining in a corresponding individual or group plot).

Situación que debemos cuidar y permanecer todos atentos. Disfrutar y vivir de este verano de una manera intensa y agradable es perfectamente posible sin reñir con guardar la distancia de seguridad, las medidas de prevención y todas esas recomendaciones tan fundamentales para evitar contagiar y contagiarnos. No es tan difícil. Es además necesario.

A situation that we must be careful with and remain attentive to. We can enjoy sport, gastronomy, beaches, markets and much more, without any problems, but always respecting what is necessary to respecting; complying with what it is necessary to comply with and being sufficiently responsible and civic as a society. Estamos viendo lo que ocurre en numerosos destinos turísticos, es momento de poner “las barbas a remojar” y evitar tener que tomar drásticas decisiones en un futuro, tan lesivas, como volver a echar el cierre a negocios y empresas que comienzan a retomar el vuelo.

We are seeing what is happening in several tourist destinations, it is time to learn from the mistakes of others and avoid having to take drastic decisions in the future, that are so harmful, such as having to reclose businesses and companies that are beginning to take flight again.

Regresan los grandes eventos

semanas, parecería imposible vernos en un escenario así. Contemplar en un horizonte a corto-medio plazo algunos de los anuncios y adelantos que llevamos en esta edición de El Periódico de Sotogrande podría tacharse de ilusionismo pero no es así. Tenemos grandes noticias e importantes avances que darles: regresan los grandes nombres y lo grandes eventos a Sotogrande este verano. Aunque me van a permitir el breve paréntesis de pedir responsabilidad y civismo (como reza la editorial de la pág. 3), a todas las personas. Respetar las normas de seguridad, higiene y prevención es completamente obligatorio y necesario para no perjudicarnos a nosotros mismos. El peor enemigo de este atractivo agosto e inicio de septiembre depende en buena medida, como en el resto de destinos, de la buena “praxis” de los ciudadanos, el uso de mascarillas y evitar que se den esos poco recomendados brotes que tanto nos hacen recordar, a modo de pesadilla, la pasada primavera. Por un lado, esta misma semana acudíamos al Real Club Valderrama para presenciar la presentación oficial del Estrella Damm N.A. Andalucía Masters. Tristemente fue una de las primeras noticias que dimos durante el inicio del confinamiento (su aplazamiento) y ahora felizmente podemos invitarles a disfrutar del mejor golf en Sotogrande del 3 al 6 de septiembre. Prometedora presentación en el que el mensaje fue mostrar unidad y la seguridad de este entorno para la práctica del golf, como gran objetivo del torneo. Los protocolos de seguridad, viajes internacionales y cuarentenas serán los jueces que configurarán el cuadro de participantes, esperemos que sean los más atractivos y seguidos psoibles. Respecto a la asistencia de público, la organización ya adelantó que es su deseo expreso que haya; siempre y cuando las autoridades sanitarias lo permitan. En buena parte, ésa es la esencia de los torneos en Valderrama y por antonomasia, del deporte en nuestro país. La situación sanitaria dictaminará, así lo explicaron, el porcentaje y número de asistentes al evento así como de los servicios de hospitalidad e invitados. Eso sí, también es de recibo resaltar que una parte importante de la suma que maneje el torneo irá destinada a proyectos benéficos relacionados con la pandemia y se deslizó, brevemente, que probablemente como está ocurriendo en el resto de torneos internacionales, merme un poco el montante de la mesa de premios. Aquí, me uno a la opinión de los presentes, es la cuestión menos determinante. Por otro lado, en sólo unos días veremos como levanta el telón una nueva edición del Torneo Internacional Mansion de Santa María Polo Club. Como todas las competiciones se verá afectada por las restricciones internacionales y la complejidad para la llegada ordinaria de jugadores y equipos habituales. Pero aún así, con diferentes altas y bajas, lo que es seguro es que disfrutaremos de otro apasionante verano de buen polo en Sotogrande y de un complejo (a nivel comercial y gastronómico), único en el sur de Europa. Eso hay que celebrarlo, aplaudirlo, vivirlo y contarlo. Para eso estamos aquí. ¿Qué más quieren? ¡Qué arranque con fuerza! Just a few months ago and if you really ask me, practically a few weeks ago, it would seem impossible to find ourselves in a situation like this. Looking at the short-medium term horizon some of the announcements and previews that we have in this edition of El Periódico de Sotogrande could be classed as conjuring but that isn´t the case. We have big news and important announcements to make to you: the big names are back and so too are big events in Sotogrande this summer. However, allow me the brief parentheses of requesting responsibility and civility (as the editorial on page 3 states), from everyone. Respecting the safety, hygiene and prevention rules is completely obligatory and necessary in order not to harm ourselves. The worst enemy of this attractive August and start of September largely depends, as in other destinations, on the good “praxis” of citizens, the use of masks and preventing the emergence of those non-recommended outbreaks that really remind us, like a nightmare, of last spring. On one hand, this week we went to Real Club Valderrama to see the official presentation of the Estrella Damm N.A. Andalucía Masters. Sadly, it was one of the first stories that we announced during the start of confinement (its postponement) and now happily we can invite you to enjoy the best golf in Sotogrande from 3 to 6 September. A promising presentation where the message was about showing unity and the safety of this environment for playing golf, as the big target of the tournament. The safety protocols, international travel and quarantines will be the judges that decide the line-up of participants, we hope that they will be as appealing and followed as possible. With regard to the public attending, the organisers announced that it is their express wish to have people; provided that the health authorities allow it. To a large extent, that is the essence of tournaments at Valderrama and par excellence, of sport in our country. The health situation will be what decides, as explained, the percentage and number of attendees at the event as well as the hospitality services and guests. Having said that, it is also appropriate to highlight that a significant part of the sum raised by the tournament will go towards charity projects linked to the pandemic and it was briefly outlined that, probably, as is the case with other international tournaments, the amount of the prize purse may be reduced a little. Here, I join the opinion of those present, that is the least important matter. On the other hand, in just a few days we will see the curtain come up on a new edition of the Mansion International Tournament at Santa María Polo Club. Like all competitions, it will be affected by international restrictions and the difficulty of the ordinary arrival of players and the normal teams. But even so, with different arrivals and absences, what is certain is that we will enjoy another exciting summer of good polo in Sotogrande and a complex (in terms of shopping and gastronomy) that is unique in southern Europe. We must celebrate it, applaud it, enjoy it and share it. That is why we are here. What more do you want? May it make a strong start! Regresa el mercadillo de Sotogrande a la Marina • Se reinicia la actividad del tradicional rastro dominical con su horario de apertura ordinario: de 10:00 a 15:00 horas. • Desde el 15 de julio, arranca el mercadillo nocturno. Todos los miércoles y jueves, desde 19:00 horas y hasta la medianoche. En los últimos meses, el estado de alarma y la crisis sanitaria obligaron a la suspensión cautelar de uno de los rituales familiares más tradicionales y asentados en la urbanización. Es una grata noticia anunciar su regreso a la actividad y no sólo eso; el reinicio también para la temporada de verano del mercadillo nocturno de los miércoles y jueves. Por un lardo, el más clásico de todos, el dominical matutino ya se encuentra a pleno rendimiento tras el pequeño parón, evidente, por la propagación del COVID-19. Mantiene su formato habitual, a lo largo de la Marina de Sotogrande, con su horario más ordinario: de 10:00 a 15:00 horas. Otro de los anuncios más impor-

tantes es el arranque del mercadillo nocturno, en horario vespertino, uno de los imprescindibles del verano, disfrutar de un agradable paseo por la Marina de So-

togrande y contemplar los puestos y diferentes elementos de venta. Como siempre, se celebra todos los miércoles y jueves a partir de las 19:00 horas hasta la

El carisma y los votos Tanto Iñigo Urkullu como Alberto Núñez Feijóo son hombres de partido, pero también figuras más importantes que sus partidos. Esto es más claro en el caso del presidente gallego, cuya estrategia es independiente de la calle Génova, a donde siempre es visto como un posible relevo del secretario general. El líder vasco, por su parte, no tiene un partido que trascienda la comunidad autónoma, pero su capacidad de influencia a escala nacional es notoria. Tras estas últimas elecciones se reforzará tanto su alianza con el Partido Socialista de Euskadi en el plano local, como su peso en las negociaciones con el Gobierno de Pedro Sánchez a escala nacional. Las elecciones se ganan desde el centro, dando por supuesta una distribución normal de las opiniones de las personas, que solemos apartarnos de los extremos. Los políticos procurarán lanzar mensajes que atraigan al mayor número posible de votantes. Como hay varios que hacen lo mismo, la puja es difícil, pero tanto Urkullu como, sobre todo, Feijóo, han probado su destreza en la misma, presentándose como moderados, pragmáticos, y eficaces. El pri-

mero se apartó de EH Bildu, cuyo nacionalismo comparte, y el segundo lo hizo de los demás partidos de centroderecha, pensando, con acierto, que no los necesitaba para dar una imagen centrista. Todo esto, naturalmente, no quiere decir que sus políticas sean buenas, sino han acertado en la diana electoral, al contrario de Unidas Podemos, que ha sufrido un derrumbe espectacular, precisamente porque no supo situarse donde están los votos y jugó a ser izquierdista y nacionalista, un terreno donde había otras opciones. Hace treinta años, a comienzos de la década de 1990, entrevisté para “Cambio 16”, junto al añorado Juan Tomás de Salas, a José María Aznar, antes de que fuera presidente del Gobierno. Entonces era criticado porque se aseguraba que le faltaba carisma. Efectivamente, resultaba evidente que era mucho menos atractivo y simpático que Felipe González. Le pregunté qué pensaba del asunto y me respondió: “el carisma son los votos”. O sea, dije, que cuando tenga los votos suficientes será usted más alto. Sonrió y respondió: “y la gente se dejará bigote”.

Charisma and votes

Both Iñigo Urkullu and Alberto Núñez Feijóo are party figures, but they are also figures who are more important than their parties. This is clearer in the case of the Galician president, whose strategy is separate from Calle Génova, where he is also seen as a possible replacement for the secretary general. In turn, the Basque leader does not have a party that transcends the autonomous community, but his capacity to influence on a national scale is well-known. As there are several doing the same thing, the fight is difficult, but both Urkullu and, above all Feijóo, have tested their skill in it, presenting themselves as moderate, pragmatic and effective. The former distanced himself

from EH Bildu, whose nationalism he shares, and the second did so from the other centre-right parties, thinking, successfully, that he didn´t need them to give a centrist image. All of this, naturally, doesn´t mean that their policies are good, but they have hit the electoral target, unlike Unidas Podemos, which has suffered a spectacular collapse, precisely because it was unable to position itself where the votes are and it played at being leftist and nationalist, terrain where there were other options. Thirty years ago, at the beginning of the 90´s, I interviewed for “Cambio 16”, alongside the much-missed Juan Tomás de Salas, José María Aznar, before he was president of the Government. He was criticised back then because it was stated that he lacked charisma. Indeed, it was clear that he was much less appealing and likeable than Felipe González. I asked him what he thought about the matter and he responded: “charisma means votes”. So, I said, when you have enough votes you will be taller. He smiled and answered: “and people will grow a moustache”.

Los residentes en España antes del 31 de diciembre 2020 van a tener los derechos en materia de residencia, libre circulación y Seguridad Social que les reconoce el Acuerdo de Retirada. Sin embargo, los que lleguen después de esta fecha tendrán unos derechos distintos, ya como nacionales de tercer estado. Los permisos obtenidos antes de la finalización del periodo transitorio seguirán teniendo validez y podrán beneficiarse así de las previsiones del Acuerdo de Retirada. En virtud del Acuerdo de Retirada, el Gobierno de España ha establecido a principios de este mes, que a partir del 6 de Julio de 2020, los que ya eran resi-

dentes en España tendrán el derecho a recibir un documento de residencia que expresamente recoja su condición de beneficiarios del Acuerdo de Retirada. Esto implica que los nacionales del Reino Unido ya residentes y en posesión de documentación de residencia como ciudadano de la UE, podrán seguir ejerciendo su derecho a residir o trabajar en España de conformidad con el Derecho de la Unión más allá del fin del periodo transitorio. Así mismo, el nuevo régimen permite solicitar en las próximas semanas y meses la residencia en España para aquellos que aún no tengan documentación de residencia, beneficiándose también de las condiciones del Acuerdo de Retirada. En resumen, con la entrada en vigor del Acuerdo de Retirada se distinguen los siguientes regímenes:

a) El régimen de ciudadanos de la Unión; b) El régimen aplicable a los nacionales del Reino Unido, los miembros de sus familias y cualesquiera otras personas incluidas en el ámbito de aplicación del Acuerdo de Retirada; c) Y los Nacionales de terceros países. A los que es de aplicación el Régimen General de Extranjería y donde se incluirán a los nacionales del Reino Unido que no sean beneficiarios del Acuerdo de Retirada. En definitiva, el Británico residente en España tiene el derecho de solicitar el nuevo documento, y por consideraciones no sólo de presente sino también de futuro, nuestra recomendación sería solicitar el nuevo documento de residencia tan pronto como sea posible. New process for the issuance of the residence permit in accordance with the United Kingdom withdrawal agreement from the European Union On 31 January 2020, the United Kingdom ceased to belong to the European Union, making Spain the host country for nationals of the United Kingdom and members of their family that were residing in Spain. This exit is ruled by the Withdrawal Agreement which came into force on 1 February 2020 and which establishes a transitional period that will last until 31 December 2020. European Union legislation in relation to freedom of movement will be applicable until then. Individuals residing in Spain before 31 December 2020 will have the same rights relating to residence, freedom of movement and Social Security as provided under the Withdrawal Agreement. However, those arriving later will have different rights, as nationals of a third country. The permits obtained before the end of the transitional period will

continue to be valid and will be able to benefit from the provisions of the Withdrawal Agreement. By virtue of the Withdrawal Agreement, the Spanish Government has established earlier this month that as from 6 July 2020, those who were already residents in Spain will have the rights to be issued with a residence document/permit expressly stating their condition as beneficiaries of the Withdrawal Agreement. This implies that nationals of the United Kingdom who were already residents and holders of resident permits as EU citizens will have the rights to continue to reside and work in Spain in accordance with EU Law after the end of the transitional period. Likewise, the new regime permits those who still do not have a residence permit to apply for Spanish residence in the next few weeks

and months, thereby benefiting from the Withdrawal Agreement. In summary, with the entry into force of the Withdrawal Agreement, the following regimes will apply: a) The regime of the citizens of the EU; b) The regime applicable to nationals of the United Kingdom, members of their families and any other

persons included with the scope of the Withdrawal Agreement; c) And Nationals of third countries. The Immigration General Regime will apply to them and the nationals of the United Kingdom who are not beneficiaries of the Withdrawal Agreement are included in this regime. In conclusion, British citizens have the right to apply for the new do-

La Junta aprueba el uso obligatorio de mascarillas con multas de hasta 100 euros Manuel Gil El Consejo de Gobierno de la Junta de Andalucía tomóo en consideración las nuevas medidas de prevención, propuestas por la Consejería de Salud y Familias para hacer frente a la extensión y proliferación del coronavirus Covid-19 en brotes localizados, de manera que quede garantizado que la ciudadanía evita comportamientos que generen riesgos de propagación de la enfermedad. Triunfa este verano la App que informa sobre el estado de las playas locales

• Se incrementa de forma muy notable el número de visitas y descargar hasta alcanzar cerca de 30.000 visitas en una sola semana La App “Multimedia San Roque”, una aplicación móvil de la empresa municipal de medios de comunicación, registró durante el mes de junio un considerable incremento en el número de descargas y las vistas. La explicación más lógica es el interés que ha despertado la información sobre playas añadida recientemente, que también puede consultarse en las páginas web de Multimedia y del Ayuntamiento, así como en el servicio de mensajería por WhatsApp. A principios del mes de junio se registraban casi mil descargas de esta aplicación, que se han incrementado hasta 1.800 a principios de julio. Además, se han superado las 26.000 visitas en sólo una semana, 10.000 de ellas concentradas en sábado y domingo. El alcalde, Juan Carlos Ruiz Boix, calificó como “un acierto” la decisión de incluir la infor-

mación de playas en la App de Multimedia, que puede descargarse gratuitamente tanto para teléfonos móviles como tabletas tanto del sistema operativo Android (en Google Play) como Apple (App Store). El máximo mandatario municipal indicó que “la pandemia de coronavirus ha provocado la necesidad de limitar el aforo de las playas para evitar contagios. Ante esta realidad se ha puesto en marcha un servicio a través de internet que, en tiempo real, informa sobre el estado de ocupación de nuestras playas, así como de la intensidad y la dirección del viento, el color de la bandera que ondea, entre otros datos”. “Desde el Ayuntamiento -continuó el alcalde- seguiremos innovando para ofrecer el mejor servicio a nuestros vecinos y visitantes, y de hecho esperamos que en breve se pueda también ver en directo el es-

App providing information on condition of beaches triumphing this summer • The number of visits and downloads has increased very notably to reach almost 30,000 visits in a single week The “Multimedia San Roque” App, a mobile application by the municipal media company, recorded a considerable increase in the number of downloads and visits during the month of June. The most logical explanation is the interest aroused by the information on beaches that has been added recently, which can also be consulted on the Multimedia and Council website, as well as via the WhatsApp messaging service. At the beginning of June, almost one thousand downloads of this application were increased, rising to 1,800 at the start of July. Según uno de los últimos informes, de perfil semestral de precios de alquiler (según el portal especializado Pisos.com), el piso tipo de alquiler en Andalucía registró

una variación semestral del 3,75%, la tercera más marcada de España. Respecto a junio de 2019, creció un 6,45%, la quinta mayor subida del país. Mensualmente, se devaluó un -0,38%. Trimestralmente, subió un 1,92%. Andalucía fue la séptima au-

Las normas y medidas de precaución en la playa, una obligación y no un capricho • Evitar el cierre por aforo, consultar la información disponible, respetar la distancia y los horarios establecidos son algunas de las recomendaciones a seguir en la costa. Ante las limitaciones que imponen las medidas sanitarias para evitar los contagios de covid, desde la Policía Local de San Roque se recuerda la recomendación de permanecer en las playas un máximo de cuatro horas, para facilitar la rotación y evitar en lo posible el cierre de los accesos por aforo completo. Otro punto a tener en cuenta es la prohibición de acampar en playas, así como que el horario en el que está permitida la pesca es de 21.00 a 9.00 horas. El alcalde de San Roque, Juan Carlos Ruiz Boix, reiteró la necesidad de que la ciudadanía respete las normas sanitarias y de

uso de las playas. Recordó que “debido a la pandemia de covid, el Ayuntamiento aprobó recientemente un Plan de Contingencia. En el mismo se recogía el horario de funcionamiento de los servicios que se prestan en playas, que va desde las 12:00 hasta las 20:00 horas”. Ruiz Boix apuntó que de lunes a viernes no suele haber problemas en cuanto a espacio en las playas. “En cambio -consideró-, en algunos momentos de los sábados y los domingos hemos tenido aforo completo en alguna playa urbana. Eso ocurrió la primera semana de la temporada (que comenzó el sá-

bado 13 de junio) en Puente Mayorga, y en algunas ocasiones en Torreguadiaro y en Cala Sardina.” Ruiz Boix agradeció que “en general los ciudadanos colaboran y cumplen las normas”, aunque hizo un llamamiento en especial a “los visitantes que acuden a San Roque con caravana. Estos vehículos sí están permitidos en San Roque, pero el espacio que se les ha asignado para aparcamiento no es el más cercano a la lámina de arena y la zona de baño. Les pedimos respeto, porque la parte de los aparcamientos más cercana a la orilla del mar está desti-

nada para los bañistas habituales del municipio”, finalizó. Por lo tanto, desde la Policía Local se recuerda que existe un Plan de Contingencia de Playas puesto en marcha este año con motivo de la pandemia, así como una Ordenanza de Uso de Playas. Entre las medidas recogidas en dichos documentos está que el horario establecido para la pesca deportiva se establece entre las 21.00 y las 9.00 horas, así como la prohibición de la acampada y de animales domésticos. En estos tres casos, se va a extremar la vigilancia para garantizar su cumplimiento, imponiendo

sanciones si es preciso. El Plan de Contingencia, que sigue las directrices aportadas por la Junta de Andalucía para evitar contagios, recomienda la permanencia en las playas durante un máximo de cuatro horas. Con esta medida se busca propiciar el cumplimiento de la normativa sobre aforo y distancia social entre bañistas, tanto a nivel individual como en grupos. En este sentido, se ha limitado el estacionamiento en los aparcamientos de las distintas playas, y se realizan cortes de tráfico cuando los mismos se completan.

Faced with the limitations imposed by the health measures to prevent the spread of Covid, the Local Police in San Roque reminds people of the recommendation to spend a maximum of four hours at the beach, to facilitate rotation and prevent the closure of entrances due to full capacity where possible. sitors who come to San Roque in a caravan. These vehicles are allowed in San Roque, but the space assigned to them for parking isn´t the one closest to the area of sand and the swimming area. We ask for respect, because the parking area closest to the sea shore is allocated to regular bathers from the municipality” he concluded. Therefore, the Local Police reminds people that there is a Beach Contingency Plan launched this year as a result of the pandemic, as well as an Ordinance on the Use of Beaches. Among the measures outlined in those documents is that the hours established for sports fishing are from between 9 pm and 9 am, and there is also a

ban on camping and domestic animals. In these three cases, utmost care will be taken with surveillance to ensure compliance, with sanctions imposed if necessary. The Contingency Plan, which follows the guidelines provided by the Regional Government to prevent infections, recommends staying on beaches for a maximum of four hours. This measure seeks to encourage compliance with the rule on capacity and social distancing among bathers, both at an individual and group level. In this regard, parking in the car parks of the different beaches has been limited, and traffic cuts are carried out when the car parks are full.

El punto de información turística en Sotogrande, ya en funcionamiento

Redacción El Punto de Información Turística, a la entrada del puerto deportivo de Sotogrande, ya tiene abiertas sus puertas con el objetivo de prestar asistencia a los numerosos visitantes que se acercan a la zona turística. Las instalaciones estarán abiertas todos los días de la semana por la mañana hasta el 13 de septiembre, y se ubican en unas dependencias cedidas por Sotogrande SA. Hay que recordar que este servicio municipal funciona cada verano en el Valle del Guadiaro desde 2011, y que desde 2013

se ubica en la entrada a Puerto Sotogrande. En el Punto de Información Turística (Tourist Information Point) se distribuye información gratuita sobre los recursos turísticos de todo el municipio a los abundantes usuarios que se acercan al mismo, que cada verano rondan el millar de personas. Atendido por personal de la Delegación Municipal de Turismo, el horario es de 10.00 a 15.00 horas de lunes a domingo hasta el 13 de septiembre. Por otro lado, la Oficina Municipal de Turismo, ubicada en el Palacio de los

Gobernadores, abre en verano de lunes a viernes de 8.00 a 14.00 horas (excepto festivos). En años pasados, las informaciones más demandadas en este punto de información han sido en general de San Roque, petición de callejeros, información sobre los museos, turismo cultural, turismo gastronómico, actividades de la agenda, actividades para niños, polo, etc. La nacionalidad de la mayoría de los visitantes atendidos ha sido española, británica, francesa, alemana, e italiana, seguidos por los procedentes de los países nórdicos.

Una expedición local asistió en Almuñécar (Granada) al acto de entrega las banderas azules que ondearán de nuevo este año en las playas sanroqueñas de Cala Sardina, Torreguadiaro y Alcaidesa-Faro (Torrecarbonera). Además, se entregó el diploma que acredita el reconocimiento como Centro Azul para el Aula

Un menor de tres años de edad (a punto de cumplir cuatro), falleció el pasado 4 de julio en las instalaciones del club de playa de Sotogrande (Trocadero), a media tarde por ahogamiento en una de las piscinas del complejo (concretamente en la infantil). El menor (de procedencia nacional), se encontraba junto a su familia pasando el día en el reconocido establecimiento. Los servicios de socorrismo (privados y de la playa), actuaron rápidamente ante el incidente y se le realizaron las maniobras de reanimación, con un resultado inútil y fatídico (según las fuentes consultadas por este periódico). Hasta el lugar de los hechos se desplazaron también efectivos de la Policía Local y otros cuerpos de seguridad, además de una UVI móvil, pero nada pudo hacerse finalmente por salvar la vida del pequeño. Consultadas todas las fuentes por este periódico, no ha trascendido la causa oficial que produjo el incidente, ni más detalles sobre el siniestro. Aunque sí figuran otras informaciones (sin confirmar), de que se produjo otro rescate más en la piscina dicho día.

A minor aged three (about to turn four), passed away on 4 July at the facilities of Sotogrande beach club (Trocadero), in the mid-afternoon due to drowning in one of the pools at the complex (specifically, the children´s pool). The minor (from Spain), was with their family spending the day at the well-known establishment. The lifesaving services (private and from the beach), acted quickly during the incident and carried out the resuscitation manoeuvres, which were unfortunately in vain, and ended fatefully (according to the sources consulted by this newspaper). Members of the Local Police and other security bodies also went to the scene, along with a mobile ICU unit, but ultimately nothing could be done to save the life of the child. With this newspaper having consulted all the sources, the official cause of the incident has not been made clear, nor have there been more details about the incident. However, there is other (unconfirmed) information, that there was another rescue at the pool that day.

Pueblo Nuevo disfruta de una sesión de cine de verano La calle Sierra Bermeja acogió la sesión correspondiente a Pueblo Nuevo del ciclo de Cine de Verano, que se desarrolla desde mediados de junio en todos los núcleos de población del municipio. La película elegida fue “Los Lunnis y el libro mágico”, que pudo disfrutar el público familiar que participó en esta experiencia, de carácter gratuito y que cumple con todas las medidas higiénicas necesarias contra el contagio de coronavirus.

En cada sesión se toman distintas precauciones para evitar el riesgo de contagio de coronavirus: antes de comenzar se desinfectan las sillas, que se sitúan a un metro y medio de distancia unas de otras; se ofrece gel hidroalcohólico al entrar en el recinto para lavarse las manos; y todos los asistentes deben usar mascarilla, que se ofrece de manera gratuita a las personas que las hayan olvidado. Respecto a la semana próxima, en las pistas polideportivas de To-

rreguadiaro (Paseo Marítimo) se proyectará el sábado 11 de julio la película “Pokemon: Detective Pikachu”. Se trata de una aventura ambientada en el universo poblado por los Pokemon. El ciclo de Cine de Verano se cerrará el domingo 12 de julio en las Pistas Polideportivas de Miraflores, con la proyección de la cinta “Elcano y Magallanes”, un filme español de animación basado en el viaje en barco que supuso la primera vuelta al mundo.

Desmentido el bulo de un brote de coronavirus, en Sotogrande Información veraz y contrastada, la clave en esta ‘nueva normalidad’. Desmienten una ‘Fake’ news’ muy extendida en las últimas horas sobre un posible brote y positivo por coronavirus en un reconocido establecimiento de Sotogranade, concretamente en el chiringuito Bunker Beach situado en la playa de Sotogrande (zona de Guadalquitón-Borondo, junto a la depuradora). A través de las Redes Sociales y de “reenviados” por aplicaciones de chat se extendió en las últimas horas como la pólvora el bulo del posible positivo en COVID-19 de una trabajadora de dicho establecimiento; cuestión que rápidamente salió a desmentir con un comunicado oficial en su perfil el propio Bunker Beach. “Nos han llegado rumores sobre nuestro restaurante que llevan circulando en redes sociales unos días. Desde el día 5 de junio, nuestra reapertura, hemos estado tomando todas las medidas de seguridad ante el Covid-19 ya que la salud de nuestros trabajadores y clientes siempre ha sido nuestra prioridad número uno. Queríamos informarles, que las acusaciones no son verdaderas, no tenemos ninguna cocinera que haya dado positivo en el test de Covid-19, ni tenemos ninguna cocinera trabajando en nuestro establecimiento”, detalla. “Aún así, después de ver las acusaciones, para que estén seguros de que nuestro espacio está libre de Covid-19, se han realizado tests a todos los trabajadores y todos los resultados han sido NEGATIVOS. Los alumnos del Programa del Diploma del Colegio San José han superado recientemente las pruebas del Bachillerato Internacional. Las calificaciones superan ampliamente la nota media mundial del Bachillerato Internacional (BI). Los alumnos de Bachillerato del colegio pueden optar entre tres programas distintos: - Bachillerato Nacional (LOMCE) - Programa del Diploma del Bachillerato Internacional - Doble Programa (LOMCE + PD). El Bachillerato Internacional “tiene como meta formar jóvenes solidarios, informados y ávidos de conocimiento, capaces de contri-

buir a crear un mundo mejor y más pacífico, en el marco del entendimiento mutuo y el respeto intercultural. En pos de este objetivo, la organización colabora con establecimientos escolares, gobiernos y organizaciones internacionales para crear y desarrollar programas de educación internacional exigentes y métodos de evaluación rigurosos. Estos programas alientan a estudiantes del mundo entero a adoptar una actitud activa de aprendizaje durante toda su vida, a ser compasivos y a entender que otras personas, con sus diferencias, también pueden estar en lo cierto” (1). Programme enter Spanish University through the validation of the UNED, of which Colegio San José is an associated centre. After validation by the UNED, pupils obtained the marks of 13 and 12.5 out of 14.

El CEIP Barbésula, premiado por sus iniciativas contra el acoso escolar

Gil / Redacción A pesar de estos convulsos meses, algunos proyectos de la Oferta Educativa Municipal prosiguieron desde casa, como es el caso de “Stop Bullying y Ciberbullying”, llevado a cabo por la Asociación Mayor-Net. Esta entidad de voluntarios concedió sus Premios Provinciales, uno de los cuales recae en el CEIP Barbésula por su implicación en la lucha contra el acoso escolar. Durante estos meses de confinamiento se ha multiplicado el tiempo que los alumnos han dedicado a navegar por internet y, según algunas fuentes, se han triplicado los casos de “ciberbullying”. Para contrarrestar esta tendencia, en los centros educativos

campogibraltareños se ha mantenido en funcionamiento el proyecto de Mayor-Net de manera telemática y con videollamadas. De hecho, en San Roque es el quinto año que se incluye esta iniciativa en la Oferta Educativa Municipal. Entre todos los centros que han participado en este proyecto, el CEIP Barbésula de San Enrique de Guadiaro ha sido uno de los reconocidos por Mayor-Net por su magnífico trabajo de prevención. En este sentido, la entidad ha destacado la participación de los docentes y del director, Rubén Cortés, en las distintas actividades propuestas, así como el buen funcionamiento de los programas de inclusión.

Las historias de Alfonsa, duquesa del Coloquio

“La Fiesta” (cap. II)

Alfonsa no se ha puesto el vestido blanco. No está dispuesta a complacer como un juguete de lujo al misterioso remitente. Llega a la fiesta media hora tarde, hora prudencial según sus cálculos. Eugenio ya está allí; como siempre, es el centro de atención de una animada tertulia en una de las esquinas del jardín, desde la que se puede ver toda la playa de Sotogrande. Se dirige hacia el grupo. Por el camino, alguien la coge del brazo. “Estás bella como nunca -le dice, mientras le da un frío beso en la mejilla-; acompáñame, quiero presentarte a alguien”. Caminan por el jardín, perfectamente iluminado para la ocasión. Su amigo Carlos Behring es un arquitecto exquisito que ha construido algunos de los edificios más emblemáticos de Madrid. La conoce bien, y la aprecia. La intuye inquieta y vuelve a decirle “No me mires así y, sobre todo, no seas sentimental, que no sienta bien a tu tipo de belleza”. Alfonsa sonríe. De pronto, se paraliza en seco. En el grupo al que se dirigen, hay una joven espectacular con el mismo vestido blanco que ella había recibido hace unos días. Repara en analizar al resto de integrantes. Reconoce al relojero llegado de Brassó que su abuelo había invitado a cenar la noche antes, al pintor Pedro Simón y a tres de sus más queridos coleccionistas, el marqués de la Cañada, Felipe López de Carrizosa y el marqués de Caviedes, a la diseñadora Joséphine Blanche y a su hermana Brunilda. Decide rápidamente no contarle nada a nadie del vestido, ni siquiera a Carlos. Está dispuesta a averiguarlo todo ella sola; pero, ciertamente, la situación se complica por momentos. Están llegando al grupo para saludar, cuando se le acerca un camarero y le susurra “Srta. duquesa, acaban de dejar una nota para usted. Tenga”. Alfonsa no sabe qué atender primero, no quiere ser maleducada, así que decide saludar a la vez que su amigo y va uno por uno regalando besos, sonrisas y

palabras amables de cariño. Al llegar a la desconocida, Behring la presenta: “Ella es Ramona, condesa del Desengaño. Está en Sotogrande pasando unos días para organizar la antológica de Pedro Simón. Mañana van a su estudio en Carmona para hacer la selección”. Alfonsa y Ramona se miran con curiosidad, se analizan rápida y profundamente. Ambas son rotundamente bellas. Se siente como una pecadora, quizás es que intuye que todo va a desencadenarse de manera poco ortodoxa. Se siente viva, ardiente, rodeada de un manto de impudor, como una virgen devoradora. Por fin, rompe el sobre y saca la tarjeta: “Te queda bien el vestido de seda, pero no es el que yo te pedí que llevaras. J.”. No puede levantar los ojos de la nota, teme hacerlo y encontrar a “J.”. Tiembla entera; sueña que se eleva y toca la luna llena. Se le abalanzan todo tipo de pensamientos, se imagina a ella misma empujándolos fuera de su cabeza. No sabe bien qué hacer. Decide ir al baño para serenarse. La única clave que encuentra está en la condesa. No puede ser casualidad que lleve el mismo vestido. Decide acercarse de nuevo a ella a ver si consigue encajar alguna pieza. Anda por la fiesta con cierto miedo, mirando a todas partes. El remitente puede estar allí, hay mucha gente. Finge seguridad con un paso decidido, no quiere que la vea nerviosa, y mucho menos buscándole. Intenta mantener la calma. Decide refugiarse en Eugenio primero. Éste sigue centrando sus charlas con sus peripecias con el arte. Es un reconocido anticuario, que vive en la más

The party (chapter II) Alfonsa has not put on the white dress. She isn´t willing to please the mysterious sender like a luxury toy. She arrives half an hour late to the party, a good time according to her calculations. Suddenly, she freezes. In the group they are heading towards, there is a spectacular young woman with the same white dress she had received a few days prior. She stops to analyse the other members. She recognises the watchmaker from Brassó that her grandfather had invited for diner the night before, the painter Pedro Simón and three of their most beloved collectors, the Marquis of La Cañada, Felipe López de Carrizosa and the Marquis of Caviedes, and the designer Joséphine Blanche and her sister Brunilda. She quickly decides not to tell anybody anything about the dress, not even Carlos. She is willing to find out everything herself; but,

of course, the situation gets difficult at times. They are getting to the group to say hello, when the waiter approaches and whispers to her “Duchess, a note has been left for you. Here it is”. Alfonsa does not know who to address first, she doesn´t want to be rude, so she decides to greet at the same time as her friend, and goes round one by one, giving kisses, smiles and kind words of affection. When she gets to the unknown woman, Behring presents her: “She is Ramona, Countess of Disappointment. She is spending a few days in Sotogrande to organise the Pedro Simón retrospective. Tomorrow they are going to his studio in Carmona to make the selection”. Alfonsa and Ramona look curiously at one another, they quickly and deeply analyse one another. Both are absolutely beautiful. She can´t take her eyes off the note, she fears doing so and finding “J”. She trembles all over; she dreams that she rises up and touches the full moon. She is

overwhelmed by all kinds of thoughts; she imagines herself pushing them out of her head. She isn´t sure what to do. She decides to go to the bathroom to calm down. The only clue she can find lies with the countess. It can´t be a coincidence that she is wearing the same dress. She decides to go over to her again to see if she can make any of the pieces fit. She walks around the party with some fear, looking everywhere. The sender may be there, there are lots of people. She feigns assurance with a firm step, she doesn´t want to look nervous, not to mention look for him. She tries to remain calm. She decides to take refuge with Eugenio first. He continues to focus his conversations on his adventures with art. residente extranjero. El siguiente escalón fue llegar hasta el cliente nacional y ya estamos notando más interés por parte del cliente internacional. Resaltar también que crece la demanda por las propiedades con amplias terrazas, bajos con jardín y viviendas con espacios abiertos. ¿Este verano estaréis muy presentes en Sotogrande? Así es, vamos a tener mucha visibilidad este verano en Sotogrande porque es un lugar muy importante y especial para nuestra gestión. 30 de julio: ‘Escape room’ en Pueblo Nuevo M. Gil La Delegación Municipal de Juventud organiza la actividad “Insane House Escape Room”, una propuesta que se desarrollará el 30 de julio en el Vivero de Empresas de Pueblo Nuevo y el 31 de julio y el 1 de agosto en la Plaza de Toros San Roque. Producida por la empresa Sur vival Horror Eventos, los participantes deberán resolver una serie de juegos mentales y de habilidad para salir de una sala antes del tiempo límite de 25 minutos. Se contará con las medidas sanitarias exigidas para evitar contagios de covid.

Andalucía Masters, cuya celebración estaba prevista del 30 de abril al 3 de mayo y tuvo que posponerse a causa de la pandemia global de coronavirus, se disputará finalmente del 3 al 6 de septiembre en el Real Club Valderrama y formará parte de la remodelada Race to Dubai 2020. El Estrella Damm N.A. Andalucía Masters será el vigésimo quinto torneo del European Tour que tenga lugar en el prestigioso Real Club Valderrama, primer campo de Europa continental que acogió la Ryder Cup en 1997, una edición en la que el gran Seve Ballesteros llevó al

equipo europeo hasta la victoria. El torneo se regirá por la exhaustiva estrategia sanitaria del circuito, desarrollada por el doctor Andrew Murray, su director médico, en colaboración con Cignpost, empresa especializada en la atención sanitaria, y asesores de muchos de los 30 países por los que pasa el European Tour. Andalucía Masters will be the twenty-fifth European Tour tournament to take place at the prestigious Real Club Valderrama, the top continental European course which hosted the Ryder Cup in 1997, an edition at which the great Seve Ballesteros led the European team to victory. On Saturday 25 July, the stunning Links course at Alcaidesa Golf is hosting a unique, exclusive and very special event with all the regular ingredients of the Circuito de Golf Sotogrande. Important information to consider: Registration through Sotograndedigital.com (75 Euros). Tee time will be at 9:00 am (the restaurant, available to players, will be open from 8:00 am).
