Está más que contratada la idea y el deseo de disfrutar de una temporada estival que vivimos y sentimos todos los habituales de esta zona cara al verano de 2021. Buen tiempo, terraza, restaurantes, playas, comercios y eventos (deportivos, musicales o reconocidos puntos de encuentro), que invitan a socializar y compartir una agradable velada con familias, amigos e invitados. Todo ello es más que comprensible y aceptable, no es muy complicado entrar en el imaginario popular y estableces todos y cada uno de estos momentos como los más habituales y ansiados tras casi año y medio de pandemia y con la sensación de que los niveles de vacunación marcha a ritmo más que notables. En estos días, los nacidos a principios de la década de los 90 ya podrían solicitar cita previa para su primera dosis. Hasta ahora todo estupendo pero la realidad, la dura y empírica realidad dice y demuestra que las consecuencias están siendo lo contrario. Destinos masivos de turismo y de grandes aglomeraciones están derivando en incrementos muy alarmantes en las cuotas de contagio y especialmente en los sectores más jóvenes de población (precisamente los pendientes de vacunar). En numerosos puntos encontramos ejemplos de ‘mala praxis’ y situaciones tan dantescas como las vividas hace poco en tierras baleares. Nadie quiere ver en su paraíso particular. Nadie quiere ser noticia por convertirse en un desafortunado foco de contagios constante y peligroso. ¿La solución? Responsabilidad y precaución. Con estos dos principios prácticamente aseguramos que ello no ocurra. Si se cumple con la normativa y las recomendaciones establecidas por los dirigentes sanitarios, usando mascarilla cuándo y dónde se debe o debería y manteniendo las prácticas de higiene oportunas, todo estará bajo control. Después de todo, el propio ciudadano, en su actitud y comportamiento es el único culpable o impulsor de que la situación mejor o empeore. Hagamos de este rincón uno de los lugares más recomendables para una temporada estival. El año pasado se consiguió, en este también, estamos seguros. Por lo demás, se lo contamos todo un verano más desde E Periódico de Sotogrande, su medio de comunicación líder y de confianza en Sotogrande desde hace casi 25 años.

It is very clear that there is an idea and desire to enjoy a summer season that all the regulars in this area are experiencing and feeling ahead of summer 2021. Good weather, terraces, restaurants, beaches, businesses and events (sporting, musical and renowned gathering points), that entice us to socialise and share a pleasant evening with family, friends and guests. All of this is very understandable and acceptable, it isn´t very difficult to enter the popular imagination and you can establish all of these moments as the most common and sought-after following almost a year and a half of the pandemic and with the sensation that the vaccination levels are progressing at a very significant level. Now, those born at the start of the 90´s can request a prior appointment for their first dose. Until now, everything has been fantastic but the reality, the tough and empirical reality says and shows that the consequences are the opposite. Mass tourism destinations and big crowds are resulting in highly alarming increases in infection levels and especially in the youngest sectors of the population (which are indeed those who are yet to be vaccinated). In several places we find examples of malpractice and nightmarish situations such as those experienced recently in the Balearic Islands. Nobody wants to see this in their own particular paradise. Nobody wants to be news by becoming an unfortunate hotspot of infections that is ongoing and dangerous. The solution? Responsibility and precaution. With these two principles we can practically ensure that this will not happen. If the rules are fulfilled along with the recommendations established by healthcare leaders, using a mask when and where you must or should, and the relevant hygiene practices are maintained, everything will be under control. After all, citizens themselves, with their attitude and behaviour are the only people who will be guilty or the cause of the situation getting better or worse. Let´s make this area one of the most recommended places for a summer season. Last year it was achieved, and we are sure it will be too this year. Un verano de reactivación económica A summer of economic revival Encontrar un equilibrio adecuado y competente, entre la responsabilidad y la precaución a niveles sanitarios, y la eficacia y generación de recursos y empleo es la fórmula mágica, el agite de perfecto de la varita y el maná tan esperado por todos los especialistas del mundo de las finanzas y el tejido empresarial desde hace más de 18 meses aproximadamente. Todos esos factores, todas esas premisas, parece que podrían coincidir en las próximas semanas en Sotogrande (si no avanza, así lo esperamos, el preocupante incremento de contagios en numerosos destinos de nuestro país). En unos días, de la mano del pasaporte de vacunación, debería abrirse de manera notable el puente aéreo y trasvase de población entre España y Reino Unido, uno de los mercados turísticos más importantes que existen para el sector desde hace décadas y de manera más que predominante en ubicaciones tan relevantes para esta población como es Sotogrande, tradicionalmente. Todo esta dispuesto y así lo parece: calendario y agenda de actividades y eventos deportivos, sociales o musicales; terrazas, chiringuitos, hoteles (nueva apertura incluida), comercios o incluso, el lanzamiento de nuevas promociones urbanísticas (el nivel de operaciones de compraventa de inmuebles sigue con una tendencia más que interesante). Sotogrande está situado, por historia, por oferta y por calidad, en un lugar de privilegio e la línea de salida. Y sólo falta echar un vistazo al reportaje e informe estadístico que publicamos en esta edición de El Periódico de Sotogrande para ver como se han multiplicado las contrataciones y generación de empleo en el sector turísticos de cara al segundo semestre. Por fin parece que se vislumbra a corto-medio plazo algún brote verde de recuperación pos-pandemia a niveles de contratación o de recursos para el tejido empresarial privado. Esperemos que sea así pero sin volvernos locos. No podemos esperar recuperar todo aquello que pasó de largo durante 18 meses en 18 días fuertes de temporada alta en agosto. Así no funciona esto. Lo importante es pasar por la campaña estival 2021 como un destino de garantías, tranquilo, discreto, seguro, de confianza y capaz de ofrecer un servicio de primerísima calidad y preparación. No todo vale en agosto. Sólo lo mejor y Sotogrande es capaz de ofrecerlo como pocos sitios. Por lo demás, pinta un verano más que divertido en la urbanización. Con el regreso del polo de Alto Hándicap, los torneos sociales de golf (con nosotros pueden jugar hasta cuatro eventos diferentes este verano en varios de los mejores campos) y con un panorama muy atractivo. Disfruten de la temporada pero con respeto y precaución, así todo serán datos positivos a la vuelta de los colegios en septiembre. Mientras tanto, pueden seguir toda la información con su medio de confianza desde hace casi 25 años y líder en comunicación en Sotogrande. Somos su periódico y se lo contaremos. Finding the right and competent balance, between responsibility and precaution in terms of healthcare levels, and efficiency and the generation of resources and employment is the magic formuls, the perfect wave of the wand and the manna so eagerly awaited by all the specialists from the world of finances and the business community for more than 18 months approximately. All of those factors, all those premises, it seems that they could coincide in Sotogrande over the coming weeks (if the worrying increase in infections in several destinations in our country does not progress, we hope that will be the case). In a few days, with the vaccine passport, the air bridge and population transfer between Spain and the United Kingdom should notably open up, it is one of the most important tourist markets that have existed in the sector for decades and very predominantly in highly important locations for this public, like Sotogrande, traditionally. Everything is ready and this seems to be the case: a calendar and agenda of activities and sporting, social and music events; terraces, beach bars, hotels (including a new opening), businesses and even the launch of new urban planning developments (the level of property sale transactions continues with a very interesting trend). Sotogrande is located, historically, in terms of its offer and quality, in a privileged place and at the starting line. And it is simply necessary to take a look at the reporting and statistical report that we have published in this edition of El Periódico de Sotogrande to see how recruiting and the generation of employment has multiplied in the tourist sector ahead of the second half of the year. It finally seems that in the short-mid term some green shoot of post-pandemic recovery can be glimpsed in terms of recruiting and resources for the private business community. We hope that this is the case but without going crazy. We cannot hope to recover everything that passed us by during 18 months in 18 strong days of the peak season in August. This doesn´t work like that. The important thing is to get through the summer 2021 campaign as a destination with guarantees that is peaceful, discreet, safe, trusted and capable of offering a service of top quality and preparation. Not everything goes in August. Only the best and Sotogrande is capable of offering it like few places. Otherwise, this looks like a very fun summer in the resort. With the return of High Handicap polo, the social golf tournaments (with us it is possible to play four different events this summer at several of the best courses) and a very appealing panorama. Enjoy the season but with respect and precaution, this will mean all the figures will be positive upon the return of schools in September. Arranque oficial de temporada estival e izado de banderas Las banderas azules revalidadas un año más por las playas de Cala Sardina y Alcaidesa-Faro ya para dar fe de la calidad de sus aguas y del excelente nivel de servicios. Asimismo gestiona el Aula de la Naturaleza del Pinar del Rey, acreditado como Centro Azul. También tiene bandera azul el Puerto Sotogrande, una instalación privada de primer nivel. Se llevó a cabo el izado oficial de las banderas azules de las playas en un acto que tuvo lugar en la de Cala Sardina, y que corrió a cargo del alcalde, Juan Carlos Ruiz Boix, y del responsable municipal de Playas, Juan Serván, y los ediles Juan Manuel Ordoñez y Belén Jiménez. La Asociación de Educación Ambiental y de los Consumidores (ADEAC) se encarga en España de otorgar estos distintivos a la calidad

en las aguas y de los servicios que se prestan en las playas, puertos deportivos e instalaciones de carácter medioambiental. Adeac ha revalidado este año las banderas azules de las playas de Alcaidesa-Faro (Torrecarbonera) y Cala Sardina, así como la distinción como Centro Azul para el Aula de la Naturaleza del Pinar del Rey. Asimismo, Puerto Sotogrande vuelve a conseguir su bandera azul, si bien se trata de una instalación de titularidad privada. La playa de Torreguadiaro, mientras, ha perdido su distinción este año por un problema ajeno al Ayuntamiento. El alcalde señaló que desde el pasado 15 de junio que se iniciara la campaña de playas, y hasta el 15 de septiembre, tenemos la satisfacción de haber renovado tres banderas azules, aunque recalcó “el compromiso con la

calidad en el servicio de playas para todo el municipio, independientemente de si se cuenta o no con distinción de Adeac”. Apuntó Ruiz Boix que se ofrece el mismo servicio en los 15 kilómetros de playa, tanto en las de la Bahía (Guadarranque, Puente y Campamento), como en las del Mediterráneo (Alcaidesa-Faro, Borondo, Guadalquitón, Sotogrande, Torreguadiaro y Cala Sardina) Puso como ejemplo de ello el equipo de trabajadores que desde enero se encarga de limpiar cada una de las playas, que se ha visto reforzado con personal contratado por Emadesa para los trabajos de temporada durante todo el periodo de baños. Además, el pliego de condiciones del servicio de atención sanitaria, socorrismo y salvamento establece que el

dispositivo tiene que cubrir un total de diez playas, tanto las de la zona de Bahía como las del litoral mediterráneo. Conminó a los ciudadanos a “respetar las indicaciones del personal de socorrismo, tanto en la atención a las banderas (de prohibición de baño); a colaborar con los servicios de limpieza; como a seguir manteniendo la preocupación y responsabilidad en las medidas anticovid”. Asimismo, se repite con las cámaras web y la información sobre el estado de playas a través de Internet y dispositivos móviles, que tanto éxito tuvo el año pasado ante las limitaciones de aforo derivadas de la pandemia. También se ha trabajado en la adecuación de los equipamientos de playas, como módulos de salvamento y duchas, y se han habilitado varias

novedades en este aspecto. En cuanto a la pérdida de la bandera azul de Torreguadiaro, desde Adeac se ha señalado un problema de saneamiento en una zona de dicha playa, derivado de una instalación que no depende del Ayuntamiento y para la que se ha solicitado en reiteradas ocasiones su arreglo. El objetivo del Equipo de Gobierno es conseguir su pronta reparación para recuperar la distinción lo antes posible. Las banderas azules se conceden no sólo por la calidad de las aguas y por la limpieza de la arena de las playas, sino también por contar con servicios de socorrismo, salvamento y atención sanitaria y, también, por disponer de suficientes módulos de servicios y mobiliario como duchas, papeleras y pasarelas.

The blue flags retained once again this year by the beaches of Cala Sardina and Alcaidesa-Faro attest to the quality of its waters and the excellent level of services. Ruiz Boix stated that the same service is offered along the 15 kilometres of beach, both in those of the Bay (Guadarranque, Puente and Campamento), as well as in those of the Mediterranean (Alcaidesa-Faro, Borondo, Guadalquitón, Sotogrande, Torreguadiaro and Cala Sardina) As an example of this he mentioned the team of workers which since January has been responsible for cleaning each of the beaches which has been reinforced with staff contracted by Emadesa for seasonal work during the swimming season. Also, the tender specifications for the service for medical assistance, lifeguards and rescue stipulates that the operation must cover a total of ten beaches, both those of the Bay area and those of the Mediterranean coast. that is not the responsibility of the Council and whose fixing has been requested on several occasions. The aim of the Government Team is to have it repaired soon in order to regain the distinction as soon as possible. Blue flags are not only awarded for

the quality of water and the cleanliness of the sand of the beaches, but also for having lifeguard, lifesaving and medical assistance, and also for having enough units for services and furniture such as showers, bins and walkways.

Pensiones y políticos sostenibles La nueva reforma de las pensiones, que podrá entrar en vigor el próximo año, demuestra que el sistema padece un doble problema de sostenibilidad: financiero y político. Y la sostenibilidad en uno de los campos conduce a la insostenibilidad en el otro. En España y otros países las autoridades han montado un sistema de pensiones público de reparto cuyo balance no solamente es deficitario, sino que –entre la arbitrariedad con la que determinan cotizaciones y prestaciones, y la evolución de la demografía– la brecha se amplía cada vez más. El déficit solo puede resolverse con una combinación de menos gastos y más ingresos. Y aquí entra el otro problema, porque cualquier ajuste comporta costes políticos, que serán tanto mayores cuanto más evidentes sean para

los ciudadanos los costes económicos. Este fue el fundamento teórico del Pacto de Toledo, es decir, mitigar la tentación de utilizar las pensiones para acumular beneficios políticos y endilgarle costes políticos al adversario. La tentación, sin embargo, es tan poderosa que dicho pacto no se ha cumplido. En la actual reforma, se eliminan los elementos correctores del gasto establecidos en 2013 por el Gobierno de Mariano Rajoy, con lo que el capítulo de las pensiones será más oneroso, y el Gobierno de Pedro Sánchez pretenderá corregir el desequilibrio de la Seguridad Social trasladándoselo al Presupuesto, es decir a los impuestos y la deuda pública, cuyo nivel es notoriamente elevado. El objetivo de Sánchez es presentarse como el que protege a los pensionistas de hoy y del fu-

turo. Lo primero es dudoso, salvo que se piense que las personas mayores cobran pensiones, pero no pagan impuestos. Y lo segundo también es dudoso, salvo que se piense que bastan estos trucos de magia para garantizar la sostenibilidad financiera del sistema público de pensiones a largo plazo.

¿Qué pasa con la política? Si la subida de las pensiones ligada al IPC es visible, y la subida de los impuestos más o menos disfrazada, se garantizaría la sostenibilidad de los gobernantes en el futuro. Pero no olvidemos que ese futuro en política no son las próximas generaciones sino las próximas elecciones.

The deficit can only be resolved with a combination of less spending and more revenue. And here is the other problem, because any adjustment entails political costs, which will be so much greater the clearer the economic costs are to citizens are. This was the theoretical basis of the Toledo Pact, that is to say, to reduce the temptation of using pensions to accumulate political benefits and place political costs on the opponent. However, the temptation is so powerful that the pact has not been fulfilled. In the current reform, the

corrective elements on expenditure established in 2013 by the Government of Mariano Rajoy have been eliminated, therefore the chapter on pensions will be more onerous, and the Government of Pedro Sánchez will aim to correct the imbalance in Social Security by transferring it to the Budget, that is to say to taxes and public debt, whose level is notoriously high. tica de Sotogrande se distribuye información gratuita sobre los recursos turísticos de todo el municipio a los abundantes usuarios que se acercan a la misma, que cada verano rondan el millar de personas. Atendido por personal de la Delegación Municipal de Turismo, el horario es de 9.00 a 14.00 horas de lunes a domingos hasta el 15 de septiembre. En años pasados, las informaciones más demandadas en este punto de información han sido en general de San Roque, petición de callejeros, información sobre los museos, turismo cultural, turismo gastronómico, actividades de la agenda, actividades para niños, polo, etc. La nacionalidad de la mayoría de los visitantes atendidos ha sido española, británica, francesa, alemana, e italiana, seguidos por los procedentes de los países nórdicos.

• Del total de contratos formalizados en la provincia en el segundo trimestre, el 25,37% se dieron en el sector turístico.

El turismo confirma la recuperación de contrataciones para esta temporada El informe Argos del segundo trimestre de 2021 sobre el mercado de trabajo en el sector turístico de la provincia de Cádiz arroja unos resultados muy positivos para este segmento, con fuerte crecimiento con respecto al mismo periodo del pasado año. Según señala José María Román, diputado de Turismo y vicepresidente primero de la Diputación Provincial de Cádiz: “Esto es un síntoma más de que el verano de 2021 va a ser muy positivo para el turismo en la provincia. Hay que tener en cuenta además que es el tercer trimestre el que incluye los meses de verano y es donde se van a producir el grueso de las contrataciones”. En el periodo de abril a junio de 2021 se han registrado en la provincia de Cádiz un total de 38.212 contratos en el sector turístico, lo que supone un aumento con respecto al mismo trimestre del año anterior del 265,32%. El 95,66% de los con-

tratos realizados son de carácter temporal. No obstante, se registraron 1.658 contratos indefinidos. Del total de contratos formalizados en la provincia en este periodo, el 25,37% se dieron en el sector turístico.

En cuanto a la demanda de empleo, se estima que la media de demandantes de empleo en el sector en este trimestre asciende a 30.369 personas. Con respecto al mismo trimestre del año anterior, se ha producido un descenso

del 23,20%. Con estas cifras, se calcula que el 10,95% de los demandantes de empleo se encuadran dentro de este sector. Por otro lado, la cifra media de paro registrado en el sector turístico en este trimestre alcanza las

16.693 personas. Camareros, ayudantes de cocina, cocineros, personal de limpieza y monitores de actividades recreativas son las profesiones que han experimentado una mayor demanda en este periodo.

Tourism department conﬁrms recovery of recruits for this season • Of the total contracts formalised in the province in the second quarter, 25.37% were in the tourist sector The Argos report from the second quarter of 2021 on the labour market in the tourist sector in the province of Cadiz offers very positive results for this sector, with strong growth compared to the same period last year. According to José María Román, delegate for Tourism and first vice-president of the Provincial Council of Cadiz: “This is another symptom that summer 2021 is going to be very positive for tourism in the province. It is also necessary to bear in mind that this is the third quarter that includes the summer months and that is when most recruiting takes place”. In the period from April to June 2021, a total of 38,212 contracts were recorded in the tourist sector, which is an increase in relation to the same quarter last year of 265.32%. 95.66% of contracts made are temporary. However, 1,658 permanent contracts were recorded. Of the total contracts formalised in the province in this period, 25.37% were in the tourist sector. With regard to the demand for employment, it is estimated that the average number of people looking for employment in this sector in this quarter amounted to 30,369 people. With regard to the same quarter of the previous year, there has been a drop of 23.20%. With these figures, it is calculated that 10.95% of job seekers fall within this sector. On the other hand, the average unemployment figure recorded in the tourist sector this quarter amounts to 16,693 people. Waiters, kitchen assistants, chefs, cleaning staff and recreational activity monitors are the professions that have experienced the greatest demand in this period.

Vigilancia, información y cámaras web para las playas este verano El Consistorio pone en marcha de nuevo este verano el servicio y la aplicación de comunicación sobre el estado de las playas, banderas, tiempo, aforo y otras informaciones de interés para el usuario. Redacción / M. G.

Al igual que el pasado año, el ayuntamiento de San Roque pone en marcha este verano cámaras webs y una aplicación mó-

vil de información de todas y cada de las playas del municipio. Se trata de una iniciativa de las delegaciones de Nuevas Tecnologías,

Playas y Emadesa. Dado el éxito que tuvieron estos dos servicios el pasado año, el Ayuntamiento repite este verano con las cáma-

ras webs, en la que los ciudadanos pueden ver el estado de ocupación de cada una de las playas. El concejal de Nuevas Tecnologías, David Ramos, señaló que también se pone en marcha una aplicación web en la que se podrá consultar la dirección e intensidad del viento, el color de la bandera (verde, amarilla o roja), el grado de ocupación de la playa, o la existencia o no de medusas. El pasado año la iniciativa, según el edil, fue “todo un éxito, y en dos meses visitaron más de 350.000 personas tanto la web de la empresa que nos daba cobertura como la del Ayuntamiento, como la aplicación para móviles de Multimedia, en la que también se podía consultar esta información”. Con estas aplicaciones, “el ayuntamiento de San Roque pone a disposición de los ciudadanos la

i n fo r m a c i ó n para que puedan elegir la playa que quieren visitar”. San Roque dispone de 17 kilómetros de costa de los que la mayoría son playas muy frecuentadas, constituyendo un verdadero atractivo desde el punto de vista turístico. Desde las cámaras, explicaron, se podrá comprobar en tiempo real el aforo de las playas y conocer cuestiones como la intensidad del oleaje o la dirección del viento. Habrá cámaras en Guadarranque, Puente Mayorga-Campamento, Alcaidesa-Faro, Guadalquitón, Sotogrande y Cala Sardina, y tres en Torreguadiaro, al ser la más frecuentada de todas.

viding information about all of the beaches in the municipality. This is an initiative of the departments of New Technologies, Beaches and Emadesa. Given the success that these two services had last year, this summer the Council is repeating with the web cameras, where citizens can see the occupancy status of each of the beaches. The councillor for New Technologies, David Ramos, stated that a web application is also being launched where it will be possible to consult the direction and intensity of the wind, the colour of the flag (green, yellow or red), the level of occupancy of the beach, and whether or not there are jellyfish. Last year, the initiative, according to the councillor, was “a real success” and over two months more than 350,000 people visited the website of the company that provided cove-

rage as well as that of the Council, as well as the application for mobiles by Multimedia, where it was also possible to consult this information”. With these applications, “the Council of San Roque is providing citizens with information so they can choose the beach they want to visit”. San Roque has 17 kilometres of coast, which is mostly very busy beaches, and it is a real attraction from a tourist perspective. Through the cameras, they explained, it will be possible to check in real-time the capacity of the beaches and find out aspects such as the intensity of the waves and wind direction. There will be cameras in Guadarranque, Puente Mayorga-Campamento, Alcaidesa-Faro, Guadalquitón, Sotogrande and Cala Sardina, and three in Torreguadiaro, as it is the busiest of all.

Nueva imagen para las rotondas de Torreguadiaro Operarios municipales llevaron a cabo durante las semanas previas a esta edición de El Periódico de Sotogrande diferentes trabajadores de adecentamiento y mejora en las rotondas de entrada al bulevar (desde la zona sur). Por un lado, un incremento en paisajismo y elementos tanto en la rotonda dónde se ubicaba anteriormente la Innocence como en la de la antigua farmacia. En ambos casos, un acierto.

Reclaman más servicios de playa para la zona de la calita en Torreguadiaro M. Gil Un sitio y un enclave increíble pero con amplio margen de mejora de servicios. Usuarios, vecinos y bañistas habituales de la playa de Torreguadiaro, concretamente de la zona de ‘la calita’ bajo los torres, vuelve a reclamar y solicitar un verano más una mayor apuesta en mobiliario y servicios de temporada por parte del Consistorio. La presencia de un solo puesto de ducha en el área, la falta de módulos o la corta presencia de

pasarelas y caminos hacia la arena ciertamente convierten en muy mejorable los servicios de esta determinada zona de la playa. En años anteriores, estas reclamaciones y han existido por parte

de los parroquianos más habituales y usuarios diarios de la playa. Pero una vez más, reclaman más puntos de ducha y más atención y servicios que a su entender, sí gozan otros espacios de la misma playa.

In previous years, these calls existed from the most regular locals and daily users of the beach. However, once again they are calling for more shower stands and more attention and services which they believe other spaces on the same beach do enjoy.

El Recinto Ferial de Guadiaro, un homenaje a José Castillo López •

Una placa y la nueva denominación reconocen la gran labor de este vecino de Guadiaro en el engrandecimiento de las fiestas y tradiciones locales.

El Recinto Ferial de Guadiaro ya luce su denominación como José Castillo López, tras el descubrimiento de una placa con la presencia del alcalde, concejales y familiares. José Castillo era vecino de Guadiaro y colaboró durante muchos años en la Comisión de Fiestas, hasta lograr el engrandecimiento de la Feria de Guadiaro. El Pleno Ordinario de la Corporación correspondiente al mes de septiembre de 2019 aprobó denominar Recinto Ferial Pueblo Nuevo Guadiaro como José Castillo López. Ayer se dio cumplimiento a dicho acuerdo en un acto en el que además del alcalde, Juan Carlos Ruiz Boix, estuvieron presentes el teniente de alcalde del Valle del Guadiaro,

Óscar Ledesma, varios ediles de la Corporación, familiares del homenajeado, como su mujer e hijos, y amigos. Tras el descubrimiento de la placa por parte de la esposa de José Castillo, el alcalde, Juan Carlos Ruiz Boix, señaló que “cumplimos con un mandato de homenaje a un empresario, presidente de la Comisión de Fiestas, que se pospuso por la pandemia”. “Las fiestas que organizaba en los años 80 y 90 quedan en el recuerdo, porque fueron muchas las personas de todas las edades las que disfrutaron en la Feria gracias a su trabajo”, señaló el alcalde. El teniente de alcalde del Valle del Guadiaro, Óscar Ledesma, señaló que “José Castillo era un

constructor muy conocido en Guadiaro, que ayudó a que la Feria de Guadiaro tuviera grandes actuaciones como Rocío Jurado, Manolo Escobar, el Dúo Sacapuntas, etc”. “Junto a otras personas de la Comisión de Fiestas, cuyos nombres serán dados a las calles del Recinto Ferial en la próxima Feria, lograron que una Feria pequeñita de una barriada de mil habitantes tuvieran actuaciones tan importantes”, concluyó el edil. La hija mayor del homenajeado, Paloma Castillo, señaló que es un orgullo para nosotros, porque mi padre trabajó mucho por la Feria, reconociendo el trabajo y el amor a su pueblo, y en los mismos términos de agradecimiento se pronunció su hijo José Castillo.

Estabilizado un incendio, cerca de la playa de Alcaidesa La playa de Alcaidesa El Faro permaneció cerrada durante todo el jueves 8 de julio, al haberse declarado un incendio en sus inmediaciones. Agentes de la Policía Local cerraron los accesos a la playa, ya que efectivos del Infoca, tanto terrestres como aéreos, están procediendo durante la jornada a sofocar el fuego, que se inició a medianoche en un paraje de monte bajo. Aunque el Infoca dio esta mañana por estabilizado el incendio tras trabajar toda la noche, el cambio de viento a levante ha reactivado algunos focos, por lo que se está utilizado maquinaria pesada y medios

aéreos para refrescar la zona y consolidar la zona. El alcalde de San Roque, Juan Carlos Ruiz Boix,agradeció el trabajo que tanto el Infoca, como los Bomberos del Consorcio en primer término, han realizado para evitar que el fuego fuera a más y afectara a un paraje de alto valor ecológico como es Borondo. La primera autoridad municipal informó que durante la noche hubieron de ser desalojadas diversas autocaravanas de las que habitualmente se ubican en esta zona, y hoy se cierra los accesos a la playa, ante la cercanía del fuego. Anunció que durante toda la jor-

nada la Policía Local va a controlar el acceso a la playa, impidiendo el paso a la misma, en tanto el Infoca no de por totalmente extinguido el incendio. También permanecerá cerrado el nuevo chiringuito de la zona. El Infoca anunció que la evolución es favorable, y en estos momentos actúan 32 Bomberos Forestales, 3 Agentes de Medio Ambiente y 2 autobombas. Los helicópteros MA-2 y KZ-0 se han incorporado con el orto solar y a partir de las 09.00 h se les sumó un 1 equipo de maquinaria pesada enviado desde Sevilla.

area will also remain closed. Infoca announced that it is progressing favourably, and at the moment 32 Forest Firefighters, 3 Environmental Agents and 2 fire engines are at work. The MA-2 and KZ-0 helicopters were added at sunrise and from 09:00 they were joined by 1 heavy machinery team sent from Seville.

¿Cómo funciona la memoria?

LA ESTIMULACIÓN COGNITIVA COGNITIVE STIMULATION

La memoria es otro de los procesos cognitivos básicos consistentes en la codificación, almacenamiento y recuperación de la información. De forma general, podemos distinguir tres tipos de memoria; la sensorial, que es la que llega a través de nuestros cinco sentidos, la memoria a corto plazo, y la memoria a largo plazo. Este orden de enumeración, de menor a mayor, está relacionado tanto con el tiempo de registro como por la relevancia de la información que pretendemos retener (memoria selectiva) Si tomáramos como ejemplo la visita a un mercadillo, nos encontraríamos con diversos estímulos sensoriales. Luces, sonidos, aromas, tejidos, decorados… Sin embargo, no todo lo que nos llega de ese exterior lo vamos a retener. De repente un puesto llama nuestra atención, y al no tener forma de anotar los datos de contacto, hacemos un esfuerzo para “memorizar”. Es en este momento, cuando de la memoria sensorial pasamos a la de corto plazo, y la voluntad de retener esa información relevante para el futuro, entra en un proceso cerebral conocido como codificación. El resto de esa memoria sensorial será bastante efímero en nuestro registro, y acabará por diluirse en un corto espacio de tiempo.

En este proceso de codificación solemos acudir a la repetición, recurso poco efectivo, siendo de mucha más utilidad otros métodos, como los nemotécnicos o el de agrupación, entre otros, de los que ya hablaremos. De la codificación pasamos a otra función cerebral, el almacenamiento de la información, de tal suerte que ésta quede registrada en nuestra memoria, y podamos acceder a ella a través de la última fase conocida como recuperación. De esta forma, y muy escuetamente, podemos hacernos una idea de las sucesiones que sigue el transcurso de la memoria, así como la importancia de la atención y sus predecesores cognitivos básicos. En resumidas cuentas, todo lo que nos rodea sigue una lógica, una interrelación, y un orden secuencial. Los seres humanos no somos ninguna excepción. Es por este motivo que sin los procesos cognitivos básicos bien asentados, se nos hace imposible desarrollar los superiores. How does memory work? Memory is another of the basic cognitive processes that consists of the coding, storage and recovery of information. Generally, we can distinguish three types of memory; sensorial, which is the type that comes through our five senses, short-time memory, and long-term memory. This list order, from least to greatest, is linked to both the recording time as well as the importance of the information that we aim to retain (selective memory). If we were to use the example of a visit to a market as an example, we would come across different sensory stimuli. Lights, sounds, aromas, fabrics, décor... However, we will not retain everything that comes from the outside world. Suddenly, a stand attracts our attention and as we don´t have a way of writing down the contact data, we make an effort to “memorise”. It is at this point when sensorial memory switches to short-term memory, and the desire to retain that important information for the future, enters a cerebral process known as codification. The rest of that sensory memory will be quite ephemeral in our record, and it will end up diluting within a short space of time.

In this codification process we normally turn to repetition, a resource that is not very effective, other methods are much more useful, such as mnemonics or groups, among others, which we will talk about. From codification we move onto another brain function, the storage of information, in such a manner that it is recorded in our memory, and we can access it through the last phase known as recovery. Thus, and very concisely, we can get an idea of the successive processes that the course of memory follows, as well as the importance of attention and its basic cognitive predecessors. In short, everything around us follows a logic, an interrelation, and a sequential order. Human beings are no exception. This is the reason why without the well-established basic cognitive processes, it is impossible for us to carry our superior processes. It is the same interrelation that makes neuronal regeneration feasible, especially in terms of synaptogenesis and neuritogenesis with the appropriate cognitive stimulation. Precaución, ante el aumento de casos de Covid en San Roque M. Gil El alcalde de San Roque, Juan Carlos Ruiz Boix, alertó sobre del aumento de los casos de Covid en San Roque, cuya tasa de incidencia supera ya los 253 casos por cada 100 mil habitantes. Además, lamenta un nuevo fallecimiento. que hace dos semanas, 30 junio, la tasa se situaba en 79,2; el lunes 5 julio, ya estaba en 91,9; el miércoles 7 de julio, subimos hasta 180,5; y ya hoy lunes se suman los del fin de semana, y se eleva de nuevo hasta una tasa de 253,4. Alerta el alcalde de que “ya con este dato pasaremos de nivel 1 a otro nivel, y regresaremos a otros escenarios más restrictivos. Estaremos atentos al Comité de Expertos Sanitarios de la Junta de Andalucía de esta semana”. Desveló que “hoy tenemos 46 casos positivos de los contabilizados en los últimos 7 días, y si observamos los datos de los últi-

mos 14 días, ya son 80 los casos positivos”. “No ha acabado la “guerra” contra el COVID-19. Hay municipios de nuestra provincia,

Some keys to Mediation Everyone, in their way, can connect with the essence of mediation so today I want to share some of the keys to it. People see reality according to our beliefs. Part of them have to do with the mental programmes that we recorded as children and that, sometimes, we don´t understand well as they are hidden in our subconscious. That is where our expectations come from, but they are biased because there are things that we simply do not see. There are things that we are not aware of as our brain only sees what we already know and ignores the unknown, as if it didn´t exist. It works like this. And how to see beyond it then? How can we resolve a situation that apparently has no way to be resolved? The answer is by imagining. And the formula is by feeling. There is the key to taking the first step and then being able to take action through a new perspective. Sometimes the only way to resolve a problem and see beyond it is through feelings and emotions. Both are activated when we have a conflict with someone who matters to us. Therefore, we say that conflict is opportunity. People who reach agreements –good ones, those that are called “sustainable agreements” in mediation as we commit to fulfilling them from deep within us, at the expense of coercive mechanisms-, not by thinking in the same way as the other person, but rather by feeling in a similar way. What the mediator of conflicts does is enable this process of coming together. First they meet with each of the opposing parties to understand their motives and interests. Then comes the work of analysing the situation, asking questions and putting dilemmas to the people to help them to see new solutions. A mediator knows what things to ask in order to help both parties to contribute new solutions by themselves. The mediator doesn´t judge, they don´t give advice or talk to their clients about difficult concepts. They help the opposing parties to reconsider the subject, to see it in an easier way, but as a professional they keep their gaze on a broader horizon, some of whose keys are the three following one: 1. Respecting and understanding all perspectives doesn´t imply making a harmful concession. 2. Accepting systemic unity, the interdependence that it is worth considering, makes solutions arise naturally. 3. Beyond victimising psychology, it is always possible to views your one needs not in terms of deficiencies, but rather as creative challenges. Ultimately, the most authentic moments for a mediator are those where it isn´t necessary to make an effort to unite things, simply recognise totalities. Environmental, political and cultural totalities, that transcend the individual, while also integrating it.

Algunas claves de la Mediación Todo el mundo, a su manera, puede conectar con la esencia de la mediación así que hoy quiero compartiros algunas claves de esta. Las personas vemos la realidad según nuestras creencias. Parte de estas tienen que ver con programas mentales que hemos grabado siendo niños y que, a veces, no entendemos bien por estar ocultas en nuestro subconsciente. De ahí vienen nuestras expectativas, pero son sesgadas porque hay cosas que, simplemente, no vemos. Hay cosas de las que no somos consientes pues nuestro cerebro sólo ve lo que ya conocemos e ignora lo desconocido, como si no existiera. Así funciona. ¿Y como ver más allá, entonces?, ¿cómo resolver una situación, aparentemente, sin salida? La respuesta es, imaginando. Y la fórmula es, sintiendo. Ahí esta la clave para dar el primer paso y poder, después, pasar a la acción desde una nueva perspectiva. A veces la única manera

de resolver un problema y ver más allá es a través de los sentimientos y las emociones. Ambos se activan cuando tenemos un conflicto con alguien que nos importa. Por eso decimos que el conflicto es oportunidad. Las personas que llegan a acuerdos, -de los buenos, de lo que en mediación llamados “acuerdos sostenibles” pues nos comprometemos a cumplirlos desde nuestro fuera interno, a expensas de mecanismos coercitivos-, no por pensar de la misma manera que el otro, sino por sentir de manera parecida. El mediador de conflictos lo que hace es facilitar este proceso de encuentro. Primero se reúne con cada una de las partes enfrentadas para entender sus motivos e intereses. Luego viene el trabajo de analizar la situación, hacer preguntas y plantear interrogantes a esas personas para ayudarles a ver nuevas soluciones. Un mediador sabe qué cosas preguntar para ayudar a ambas

Aceptar la unidad sistémica, esa interdependencia a la cual conviene atender, hace que broten las soluciones con naturalidad. 3. Mas allá de la psicología victimista, siempre es posible contemplar las propias necesidades no desde la carencia, sino como desafíos creativos. Al final, los momentos más auténticos para un mediador son aquellos en que no es necesario esforzarse en unir las cosas, simplemente reconocer las totalidades. Totalidades ecológicas, políticas y culturales, que trascienden lo individual, si dejar de integrarlo.

While the global average score of all IB graduates has been 33.02 points (out of a maximum of 45 points), students from SIS have reached an outstanding average of 35.

More than 170,000 International Baccalaureate students from around the world received their final grades. In Spain, almost 4,000 graduates have taken these demanding exams, that usually open the doors to the best universities in the world. According to the data released by the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO), the average score of all IB graduates in the world has been 33.02 (out of a maximum of 45 points). The stu-

Marqués de Riscal suma un galardón más para su Ciudad del Vino con el Premio Tácito “Vino es Cultura” otorgado por la Asociación Española de Periodistas y Escritores del Vino, AEPEV. El Premio Tácito “Vino es Cultura” reconoce la labor de proyectos, instituciones o personas cuya actividad favorece la difusión de aspectos culturales del vino. Inaugurada en 2006, la Ciudad del Vino Marqués de Riscal ofrece la experiencia de recorrer la historia de la bodega, desde su fundación en 1858 hasta nuestros días, con la posibilidad de disfrutar del vino a través de los cinco sentidos. vino XR de Marqués de Riscal 2015 en la categoría de Vinos Tintos de añadas anteriores. 2015 es la primera añada de este vino reserva con el que Marqués de Riscal rinde homenaje a todos los maestros bodegueros que, desde Jean Pineau hasta nuestros días, han contribuido a forjar una parte de la mejor historia del vino español en Marqués de Riscal.

Marqués de Riscal has added another award to its City of Wine with the “Wine is Culture” Tácito Prize awarded by the Spanish Association of Wine Journalists and Writers, AEPEV. The “Wine is Culture” Tácito Prize acknowledges the work of projects, institutions and people whose activity encourages the dissemination of the cultural aspects of wine. Opened in 2006, the Marqués de Riscal City of Wine offers the ex-

perience of travelling through the history of the wine, from its establishment in 1858 until the present, with the chance to enjoy wine through the five senses. An authentic experience that has been recognised on several occasions with various awards and it currently ranks 6th in the 2020 World´s Best Vineyards ranking, entering the Top 10 for the second consecutive year in this list. Much more than a winery, the

Marqués de Riscal City of Wine is a complete wine tourism experience, a true tribute to the senses, as its facilities include the Hotel Marqués de Riscal, A Luxury Collection Hotel, Spa Vinothérapie® Caudalie, two restaurants that are advised by the Rioja chef Francis Paniego, one of which has a Michelin star, a grill with traditional cuisine from the area, a convention and ceremony centre, and a wine and

Comienza las obras en el nuevo recinto ferial de San Enrique Con el movimiento de tierras dan comienzo las obras en el nuevo recinto ferial de San Enrique, una inversión totalmente municipal que se ha comenzado a desarrollar y que se va a prolongar en los próximos meses en varias fases. Se trata de atender la demanda de los vecinos de albergar en una zona cercana a la barriada de un lugar para celebrar la Feria, pero también un lugar de ocio y convivencia de los vecinos para ser utilizada el resto de las 51 semanas del año.

Se ha previsto una ambiciosa inversión, que en sus dos primeras fases suponen en torno a los 80 mil euros, para completar un nuevo recinto ferial, con una caseta municipal, que también sea un espacio de ocio y convivencia con pistas deportivas (futbito 3x3, canchas de baloncesto) y con otros atractivos para los vecinos para la realización de actividades.

mero 1 en el ranking del polo mundial, el argentino Adolfo Cambiaso, regresa a Sotogrande tras cinco años de ausencia. Junto al espectáculo deportivo, el Torneo Internacional de Polo prepara ya una amplia oferta de ocio para todos los públicos. El torneo tendrá lugar del 26 de julio al 28 de agosto. The return of Cambiaso and the presence of major names such as Polito Pieres, Sapo Caset, Pascual Sainz de Vicuña and Joaquín Pittaluga encourage the return of High Handicap polo to the Sotogrande season. This summer Sotogrande International Polo Tournament is celebrating its 50th anniversary. This very special edition is bringing two notable developments. The return of High Handicap polo and the joining of the three major clubs in Sotogrande -Ayala, Dos Lunas and Santa María - which alongside Minuto Siete will make this event one of the most important in the current polo universe. Great performance from local youth players at National Under-14´s, 12´s and 10´s Golf Championship Two years later and with all the relevant health measures, the Spanish National Under-14´s, 12´s and 10´s Golf Championship returned to the scene to become of the benchmarks on the Spanish Royal Golf Federation´s (RFEG) calendar of competitions. Albertazzi y Domínguez conquistan el Andaluz de Golf en La Reserva Club

M. G. Valentina Albertazzi y Alberto Domínguez son los campeones del Andalucía Absolutos de golf después de imponerse este domingo en el recorrido de La Reserva Club de Sotograndee. Julia Sánchez, golfista de La Cañada, subcampeona, estuvo inmensa intentado hasta el final mover a la favorita. Albertazzi, gran favorita tras las dos primeras jornadas, confirmó su candidatura con un golf

de alta escuela, sabiendo nadar y guardar la ropa en todo momento. En la categoría masculina, la película fue bien diferente. La igualdad fue terrible, hasta el punto de que se ha tenido que decidir en el desempate, según informa la Real Federación de Golf de Andalucía. La italiana Albertazzi, de Atalaya, conquistó estos Campeonatos de Andalucía Individuales

con un resultado de 213 y tres golpes de ventaja sobre Julia Sánchez, golfista de La Cañada, que intentó hasta el final mover la silla de la favorita. Es el segundo triunfo consecutivo de Valentina en este torneo. Ya ganó hace un año en La Cañada. La última jugadora que ganó dos ediciones consecutivas fue Teresa Toscano en 2017 y 2018. Alberto Domínguez, por su

parte, derrotó en el desempate a Álvaro Revuelta. Ambos terminaron empatados con 214 golpes. El desenlace de la prueba masculina fue apasionante y finalmente el golfista formado en Sherry Golf consiguió que el gran premio de An-

dalucía se quede en casa. El madrileño Álvaro Revuelta, de la Hípica, volvió a demostrar que es otro de los grandes valores del golf español. En las categorías de hándicap, los ganadores fueron Jussi Harju y Constanza Guerrero.

Quedan nueve pruebas más la gran final que se disputará el 11 de diciembre. Entre los más pequeños, aquellos que tienen ocho años o menos, los ganadores fueron Ariadne Urpí, del Real Sevilla Golf, y Marcos Ledesma, de La Cañada. Entre los jugadores de 9 y 10 años las victorias fueron para Claudia Casasola, de Guadalhorce, y Pedro Tineo, de La Cañada. Y, por último, entre los mayores, los que tienen 11 y 12 años,
