Arranca un nuevo curso, un nuevo año económico y escolar que como siempre llega cargado de ilusión, pilas renovadas y en algunos casos, los menos aplicados, con cuentas pendientes de cursos pasados que no resolvieron adecuadamente. Al margen de sus muchos aprobados, Sotogrande y su entorno más inmediato guarda aún algunas cuentas pendientes que no se han ejecutado correctamente y que a día de hoy, en pleno mes de septiembre siguen dando dolores de cabeza.

A new year is getting underway, a new financial and school year that, as always, arrives packed with excitement, recharged batteries and in some cases, the least proficient, with unfinished business from past years that was not properly dealt with. Aside from the many subjects it passes, Sotogrande and its immediate area has some unfinished business that has not been carried out correctly and which at present, in the month of September continues to create headaches.

Por un lado, lejos quedan ya aquellas fuertes lluvias del inicio del mes de marzo que tanto impactaron en la urbanización, llegando a crear incluso situaciones de alarma como el hundimiento e importante socavón que se produjo en la Av. de los Cortijos, una de las principales arterias que conecta la zona de la baja de Valderrama con Sotogrande Alto (siendo la principal conexión en toda ese sector del resort).

Los trabajos marchan avanzados pero a día de hoy sigue sin ser posible abrir al tráfico rodado ese tramo.

Entre ambos deben buscar una solución definitiva y real, a largo plazo para esta problemática.

The mouth of the Guadiaro remains closed for the fifth time so far this summer, it seems now that it is something of a joke and in bad taste. Todo esto ocurre con unos datos de ocupación y niveles turísticos formidables, superiores a la época de pandemia. Las entradas, los accesos, las vías, todo ello debe estar a la altura de lo que presumimos y esperamos de un lugar como Sotogrande y que no vuelvan más los suspensos en septiembre.

Educación de alto nivel, un valor añadido

En numerosas ocasiones, repetida y casi cansinamente, “vendemos” y proyectamos una imagen de Sotogrande especialmente vinculada a la temporalidad, la estacionalidad y el resort o destino predominantemente veraniego, algo que en el fondo ni está mal ni es mentira. Sol, playa, mar, chiringuitos, yates y una ubicación privilegiada en el mapa. A todo eso, le sumamos algunas de las entidades deportivas, cada una en su especialidad, más importantes del continente como son: Real Club Valderrama, La Reserva Club, Alcaidesa, Real Club Golf Sotogrande, San Roque Club, Santa María Polo Club, Ayala Polo Club, Dos Lunas Dressage & Polo ó el puerto deportivo con su escuela de vela, atraques e instalaciones. Una fórmula perfecta que se completa con el estilo de vida y las impresionantes villas en las que residen nuestros ilustres ‘sotograndinos’. Pero Sotogrande es mucho más, es muchísimo más que eso. Durante el inicio del verano visitaron la provincia más turistas españoles que el mismo mes de 2019. Julio registra un 16,61% más de pernoctaciones en comparación con el mismo mes antes de la pandemia.

Los datos sobre el turismo en la zona superan al último verano pre-pandemia Según el informe de Coyuntura Turística Hotelera del Instituto Nacional de Estadística correspondiente al mes de julio de 2021, un total de 291.427 viajeros nacionales pasaron sus vacaciones en la Provincia de Cádiz, generando un total de 935.925 pernoctaciones este mismo año. Es decir, los turistas nacionales que han visitado la provincia han aumentado en un 15,58% con respecto al año pre pandémico, el

cual se consideraba uno de los mejores años para el sector turístico. El aumento del turismo de proximidad en el mes de julio de 2021 también se ha visto reflejado en un incremento de empleos dentro del sector turístico. Ya son un total de 8.130 empleos los que han sido ocupados en la provincia de Cádiz. Respecto a ello, el diputado José María Román sigue mostrando su satisfac-

ción: “Como ya esperábamos el mes pasado, las empresas hoteleras ya están recobrando su ritmo normal”. Sin embargo, aunque el crecimiento afecte en especial al turismo de proximidad, el diputado de Turismo y vicepresidente primero de la Diputación, José María Román, ha señalado que el número de turistas internacionales también va recuperándose: “Las restricciones vigentes para en-

trar en nuestro país han afectado mucho a la movilidad de los viajeros hasta este momento, pero, poco a poco, los casos por la COVID-19 se están aminorando y la gente teme menos viajar a otros destinos”. A pesar de ello, son un total de 163.528 pernoctaciones de otros países las que ha tenido este mes de julio la provincia de Cádiz. Cada vez más factores, como la estancia o la ocu-

pación, se van nivelando entre el año de 2019 y 2021. Incluso, llegando a superar este año en ciertos aspectos a uno de los mejores años de bonanza turística.

Cuentas problemáticas El presidente del Gobierno, Pedro Sánchez, anunció que los Presupuestos para 2022 serán presentados pronto, y garantizarán una recuperación justa, la subida y sostenibilidad de las pensiones, el futuro de los jóvenes, la vivienda, la educación, el empleo, la igualdad de género, la cohesión territorial, la ecología y hasta la demografía. Nada dijo sobre los problemas de las cuentas públicas. Su propia ministra de Hacienda, María Jesús Montero, sin embargo, los reconoció en el Congreso de los Diputados, empezando por el déficit, que se situará este año en el 8,4 % del PIB, y que no cumplirá los cánones de la Unión Europea hasta 2025. La causa no es la baja recaudación, que ha aumentado gracias a la reactivación, sino el incremento del gasto público. El llamado “techo de gasto” alcanzará el año próximo el nivel más alto de nuestra historia. Europa es otro problema, y vuelve el enfrentamiento entre los países que advierten sobre unas cuentas demasiado desequilibradas y los que piden más flexibilidad, como si

la explosión de la deuda pública no representara ningún inconveniente. Pero el principal problema de Sánchez es otro: ganar las próximas elecciones. Para conseguirlo está dispuesto a agrandar aún más el déficit, bajando los impuestos de la energía, pero sin tocar el gasto. Con todo, hay un problema que Pedro Sánchez no tendrá: la aprobación de sus cuentas para 2022. Ciertamente habrá tensiones, como

en la mesa de negociación con Cataluña, tras la negativa de la Generalitat a aceptar los fondos para la ampliación del aeropuerto de Barcelona, que ha indignado a los empresarios catalanes. También intervendrá el socio de Sánchez en el Gobierno, Unidas Podemos, que reclamará aún más gasto público y más impuestos. A los nacionalistas y la ultraizquierda probablemente no les inte-

resa tensar la cuerda política hasta romperla. De momento. Y los intereses de los contribuyentes, que van a padecer los mayores problemas en sus propias cuentas, no serán tomados en consideración hasta las elecciones. Y quizá entonces tampoco, porque Sánchez habrá vuelto a ganarlas o las habrá perdido: en ambos casos el ajuste inevitable lo pagarán, como siempre, los ciudadanos.

The cause is not low tax revenue, which has increased thanks to the recovery, but rather the increase in public spending. The so-called “spending ceiling” will reach the highest level in our history next year. Europe is another problem, and a confrontation is returning among countries that warn against accounts that are too unbalanced and those who request more flexibility, as if the explosion of public debt didn´t represent a setback. However, Sánchez´s main problem is

• El valor residencial en Andalucía durante agosto se incrementó un 0,13% respecto al inicio de la temporada alta. El precio medio de la vivienda de segunda mano en España durante agosto de 2021 supuso una subida del 0,31% frente al pasado mes de julio y marcó un claro repunte con respecto a agosto de 2020 con una subida del 1,83. Mientras que la vivienda de segunda mano en Andalucía tuvo un ascenso del 0,13% frente al inicio de la temporada y una subida interanual del 0,09%, según el último informe del portal especializado Pisos. Andalucía fue la octava autonomía más cara del país, por detrás de Baleares entre otras. De un mes a otro, la provincia de Córdoba (2,71%) fue la segunda que más subió de España, mientras que Almería (-1,29%) fue la cuarta que más se devaluó del país. Interanualmente, Granada (3,06%)

fue la provincia andaluza que más creció, mientras que Jaén (-5,37%) fue la segunda que más retrocedió de España. En cuestión de precios, la provincia andaluza más cara fue Má-

laga, siendo la séptima en el ranking nacional. En cuanto a las capitales andaluzas, Córdoba (2,05%) fue la segunda en el listado de mayores repuntes nacionales

de un mes a otro. Por su parte, Almería (-2,52%) fue la segunda capital española que más cayó. Frente al pasado año, Huelva (6,11%) fue la séptima en el cómputo nacio-

nal de ascensos, mientras que Jaén (-4,89%) fue la segunda que más descendió del país. En el apartado de precios, Cádiz marcó el octavo precio más alto de España.

Deportes para todas las edades en La Reserva Club

Los niños han vuelto al colegio tras un largo verano de descanso y los adultos también van recuperando su rutina. Pero eso no significa que debamos dejar de estar activos. El otoño es la época perfecta para incorporar el deporte a la rutina y en La Reserva Club tienen clases y eventos deportivos para todos los niveles y edades. Comienza un nuevo trimestre en las academias deportivas Septiembre marca la vuelta de las academias deportivas para jóvenes en La Reserva Club con el Racquet Club y la academia de golf Manuel Piñero. Estos centros de excelencia contribuyen a fomentar el deporte y cuentan con los mejores profesores, instalaciones y programas para que los jóvenes aprendan, se diviertan y alcancen su máximo potencial deportivo. Los niños a partir de cuatro años son bienvenidos para empezar a aprender lo básico y hay opciones para principiantes y jugadores avanzados en todos los rangos de edad. Programas de tenis y pádel El trimestre de otoño-invierno ya ha comenzado y hay clases regulares para diferentes grupos de edad que se imparten hasta el 19 de diciembre. Sports for all ages at La Reserva Club Schools are back after a long summer off, and adults are also returning to their routine. But this doesn’t mean that you should stop being active! Autumn is the perfect time to incorporate sports into your routines and at La Reserva Club they have classes and sporting events for all levels and ages.

A new term begins at the sports academies September sees the return of La Reserva Club’s junior sports academies at the Racquet Club and the Manuel Piñero Golf Academy. These centres of excellence help the development of sports, boasting the best teachers, facilities and programmes available for youngsters to learn, have fun and reach their sporting potential. Children from four years’ old are welcome to start learning the basics and there are options for beginners and advanced players at all age levels. Tennis & Padel Programs The Autumn-Winter term is now underway and there are regular classes for different age groups running until the 19th of December. The groups are divided into the Mini Racquets group for four years and older, with options for 30 minute or one-hour lessons, Junior Racquets for eight years and older, with options for onehour or 1.5-hour lessons and the Pro Racquets group for kids aged 10 years and older with two-hour classes. These acade-

mies are highly flexible and you can choose how many hours per week you want and also the days and times to suit you. In order to allow players to gain crucial match play experience, the Racquet Centre team run monthly tournaments on the last Sunday of the month. The first one of the new school year takes place on the 26th of September and costs 20€ for visitors and 15€ for academy players. What’s on for adults? Whoever said you can’t teach “an old dog new tricks” obviously hadn’t taken lessons at La Reserva Club! The team are committed to improving the sporting skills of adults as well as children through private and group classes, and they offer opportunities to learn, have fun and get active through regular events. Adults’ tennis and golf classes There are adult group tennis and padel classes for two to four players. You can choose between one, one and a half, two, or three hours per week and classes run Monday to Sunday. Alternatively, you can choose private classes which can be purchased individually, or as a 10-class voucher for a reduced rate. This season the team have launched a brand-new Racquets Fitness programme to build strength, fitness and agility for tennis and padel tennis players. These are group sessions and are excellent for general fitness and to take your game to the next level. You can also book in for sessions with our golf pros at the Manuel Piñero golf academy and have a private or group class, with up to four people. These classes are open to members and non-members of the golf course, with members receiving

preferential rates. Last but by no means least, you’re invited to join in the fun with the regular events at the racquets club, which are great opportunities to learn, have fun and get active. Regular events include Padel Coffee Morning - Wednesdays from 09.30-11.30, including a padel tennis mix-in and coffee and croissant in the Racquet Centre bar. 10€ per person, including breakfast. Friday Mix-ins at the Racquet Club – On Fridays there are two mix-ins to choose from. SOTOGRANDE : MOVILIDAD IN-SOSTENIBLE III • Razones de paso al peso. El coche cede ante el empuje del camión, la moto se aparta temerosa del automóvil y el ciclista intenta alejarse de los anteriores; cuestiones estas tan naturales como que las orugas y hormigas teman al pisotón del humano. Todas ellas no son otra cosa que Razones de paso-al-peso. Sin embargo los humanos, en el ejercicio de eso que llaman «razón» hemos creado otro orden de preferencias en función de otras circunstancias. Así, copiando a la náutica donde la vela tiene preferencia de paso frente al motor debido a su mayor dificultad de maniobra, la reciente ordenanza de circulación de la norteña ciudad de Ámsterdam, ha variado la presunción de culpabilidad en una colisión entre peatones y ciclistas, desplazándola en base a esa misma «dificultad de maniobra» desde el ciclista al peatón pues éste último puede reaccionar más fácilmente que aquel. Es decir, la razón va protegiendo al débil frente al fuerte y al torpe de movimientos frente al ágil en aras a evitar los abusos propios de la fuerza. Decíamos ayer que aquí en Sotogrande todo se amalgamaba, todo se confundía: aceras, con arcenes o aparcamientos; peatones con patinetistas o ciclistas con runnerss; el revoltijo está servido, y, a su vez, la consabida peligrosidad y el enfado. Querámoslo o no, para recuperar el sentido hygge de este enclave privilegiado, es precisa una nueva regulación del tráfico. Ya lo dijo hace siglo y medio Voltaire en su Diccionario Filosófico: “Las leyes se han hecho de acuerdo con los tiempos, los lugares y las necesidades, etc.. Cuando las necesidades han cambiado, las leyes que permanecen son ridículas.” Con las nuevas tendencias, pocas son las casas en las que no hay bicicletas, patinetes u otros medios de movilidad verde; los mayores

reverdecemos cuando nos subimos a una bicicleta porque recobramos algo de nuestra juventud y creemos beber vientos de aquella libertad de nuestra infancia, eso de movernos ágil y divertidamente nos encanta y sin embargo no nos atrevemos por aquello de la peligrosidad; los jóvenes, con su visión nebulosa del peligro, afrontan las dos ruedas encantados; está demostrado que todo desplazamiento inferior a 5 kilómetros es más rápido en bicicleta que en coche, amén de más ecológico y saludable; un país tan pequeño y lluvioso como Holanda tiene 35.000 km de carriles bici y más bicicletas que habitantes; en 2020 se vendieron en España millón y medio de bicicletas y todavía hay enormes listas de espera para conseguir las ansiadas bicicletas eléctricas. Así pues parece obligado afrontar «ya» una nueva regulación de la circulación en el municipio pues la vigente es tan obsoleta que hasta las multas están en pesetas. En mi afán de aportar, entresaco algo del espíritu de las leyes tanto de la nueva Ordenanza Municipal de tráfico de mi pueblo natal, Pamplona como de la novísima (2020) ídem sevillana en los siguientes párrafos: “Colocar al peatón en el centro del diseño urbano, priorizar la bicicleta y el autobús o desincentivar el uso del vehículo privado son los ejes de la propuesta de Ordenanza Municipal de Movilidad de la ciudad” “las bicicletas adquieren la consideración de un vehículo más que circula por un carril, con las mismas obligaciones y los mismos derechos. … Al circular [las bicicletas] por el centro del carril, los vehículos a motor deberán adaptar su velocidad a la de la bicicleta y no podrán realizar maniobras de adelantamiento en el mismo carril de

En cualquier caso, el estacionamiento de bicicletas en las aceras se realizará de manera que el itinerario peatonal accesible tenga un ancho mínimo de 1.80 metros y si se produce un estrechamiento puntual, este debe tener ancho mínimo de 1,50 metros. [las negritas son mías] La regulación de esos y otros aspectos permitirían que SOTOGRANDE dejase de ser un TERRITORIO SIN LEY donde ni siquiera existen controles de alcoholemia nocturnos a pesar de que no pasa una noche de verano sin que se atente gravemente contra el mobiliario urbano o contra la seguridad de vehículos y personas. With new trends, there are few homes that do not have bicycles, scooters or other green means of mobility: us older people are revived when we get on a bike because we regain a little of our youth and we feel we are tasting the freedom of our childhood, we love moving in an agile and fun way, however we don´t dare to do so because of the danger; young people, with their nebulous view of danger, are delighted to get on two wheels; it has been shown that any trip of less than 5 kilometres is quicker by bike than by car, as well as more environmentally friendly and healthy; a country as small and rainy as Holland has 35,000 km of bicycle lanes and more bicycles than inhabitants; in 2020 one and a half million bicycles were sold in Spain and there are still enormous waiting lists to obtain the much sought-after electric bicycles. So it seems necessary to tackle a new traffic regulation “now” in the municipality as the current one is so obsolete that even the fines are in pesetas. In my desire to contribute, I wish to pick out something from the spirit of the laws, of both the new Municipal Traffic Ordinance of my hometown, Pamplona, as well as the brand new (2020) ordinance of Seville in the following paragraphs: “Putting pedestrians at the centre of urban design, prioritising bicycles and buses and discouraging the use of private vehicles are the foundations of the proposals of the City´s Mobility Bylaw” “bicycles are now considered another vehicle travelling on the road, with the same obligations and the same rights. ... When they (bicycles) travel in the centre of the road, motor vehicles must adjust their speed to that of the bicycle and they cannot carry out

overtaking manoeuvres in the same lane of traffic. They will have to, as if they were going to overtake another motor vehicle, move into the other lane and also maintain a minimum distance of 1.5 metres during the manoeuvre. Nor are motor vehicles permitted to harass people driving bicycles”. On roads or areas that have been specifically signposted with a maximum speed limit of 30 km/h, or less and in order to facilitate coexistence of bicycles and motorised vehicles, the latter will have to adjust their speed to that of the bicycle. In the event that there are no parking spaces, within a radius of 50 metres, or all the spaces are occupied, bicycles can be secured to urban furniture elements provided that they do not hinder pedestrian transit or the movement of vehicles. In any case, the parking of bicycles will should be carried out in a way so that the accessible pedestrian route has a minimum width of 1.80 metres and if there is occasional narrowing, it should have a minimum width of 1.50 metres. (bold parts highlighted by me) The regulation of these and other aspects will enable SOTOGRANDE to stop being a lawless territory where there are not even alcohol checks at night despite the fact that not a single summer night passes without summer committing a serious infraction against urban furniture or impacting the safety of vehicles and people. Hacer: un verbo que cambia vidas Vino y se fue. El verano ya es pasado. Te dio la oportunidad de salir del piloto automático y tomar distancia de tu día a día en las vacaciones, lo que te habrá llevado a darte cuenta de los cambios que necesitas hacer para conseguir mayor bienestar en tu vida. Puede que una de estas dos situaciones te haya sido familiar: sentir un deseo ferviente por volver a tu rutina o, por el contrario, sentir apatía y ansiedad ante una realidad que no vas a saber muy bien cómo afrontar. De cualquier manera, es tiempo ahora de marcar objetivos, hacer planes y sopesar alternativas. Cómo podrás ver, todo pasa por el “Hacer”. Hacer, es un verbo que permite crear el futuro, un verbo que cambia vidas, ya que con nuestro “hacer” estamos decidiendo movernos hacia delante y crecer. Pero, aunque sepamos qué hacer muchas veces no basta. Marcarse un objetivo puede no ser suficiente si no se actúa con determinación, compromiso y en la dirección adecuada, estableciendo la forma de medir el resultado de tu acción y cómo afectará a tu vida y a la de tu entorno. Si no definimos bien nuestras metas, vamos a quedarnos atrapados en la procrastinación, en los “no sé” , en las dudas y la parálisis que nos producen nuestros miedos ante la incertidumbre del cambio. Lo que terminamos haciendo o lo que dejamos sin hacer es la consecuencia de nuestros pensamientos. En ellos, están las claves de cómo actuamos y de las decisiones que tomamos, y se llaman Creencias. Las creencias son poderosas, son las que dirigen nuestro pensamiento. “Tanto si crees que puedes cómo si crees que

no puedes estás en lo cierto”. Henry Ford Son programas mentales sobre cómo debemos sentirnos y comportarnos ante el mundo. Programas que se grabaron en la infancia según la relación que tuviéramos con nuestros padres y profesores y que han continuado con nuestro desarrollo en sociedad. Estas creencias se convierten en “virus mentales” cuando pasan a ser limitantes y nos impiden actuar, inmovilizándonos dentro de nuestra zona de confort, donde no podemos evolucionar como personas. Si no las identificamos a tiempo, provocan un problema mayor: el agotamiento emocional y la pérdida de con-

fianza en nosotros mismos al no ser capaces de conseguir lo que queremos. En un proceso de coaching se valoran todos los factores que te impiden crecer y salir de tu zona de confort. Se identifican creencias limitantes que puedes llevar programadas desde la infancia y se acompaña en el proceso de cambio hacia otra creencia potenciadora que te permita conseguir tus objetivos. Lo que decides hacer cada día es el resultado de tus creencias más profundas y de ellas también dependen tus valores. En época de marcar objetivos, no olvides auditarlas y revisar su fecha de caducidad.

In any case, it is now time to set goals, make plans and consider alternatives. As you can see, everything depends on “Doing”. To do, it is a verb that makes it possible to create the future, a verb that changes lives, as with our “doing” we are deciding to move forward and grow. However, even if we know what to do often it isn´t enough. Setting a goal may not be enough if you don´t act with determination, commitment

and in the right direction, establishing the way of measuring the result of your action and how it will affect your life and that of those around you. If we don´t properly define our goals, we are going to be trapped in procrastination, in “I don´t know”, in doubts and the paralysis that is caused by our fears when faced with the uncertainty of change. What we end up doing or what we leave undone is the consequence of our thoughts. They hold the keys to how we act and the decisions that we take, and they are called Beliefs. Beliefs are powerful, they are what direct our thought. “Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t -- you’re right.” Henry Ford They are mental programmes about how we should feel and behave in the world. Programmes that were recorded in childhood according to the relationship that we had with our parents

and teachers and that have continued with our development in society. These beliefs become “mental viruses” when they become limiting and stop us from acting, immobilising us within our comfort zone, where we cannot develop as people. If we don´t identify them on time, they cause a greater problem: emotional exhaustion and the loss of belief in ourselves by not being able to achieve what we want. In a coaching process all the factors that prevent you from growing and leaving your comfort zone are assessed. Limiting beliefs that you have had programmed since childhood are identified and you are supported in the process of change towards another enhancing belief that can help you to achieve your goals. What you decide to do each day is the result of your deepest beliefs and your values also depend on them. At the time of setting goals, don´t forget to audit them and check their expiry date.

San Roque acoge los VI Premios Comarcales del Campo de Gibraltar Redacción / M. Gil

El Teatro Juan Luis Galiardo, en San Roque acogió la entrega de los VI Premios Comarcales de la Mancomunidad de Municipios del Campo de Gibraltar, en un solemne acto institucional que contó con la participación de presidente del ente comarcal, Juan Lozano, y de los alcaldes de los ocho municipios. Juan Lozano agradeció en su discurso de apertura al alcalde de San Roque, Juan Carlos Ruiz Boix, y a todo su equipo de gobierno la cálida acogida dispensada a este acto, en el que se conmemora también el 36º aniversario de la creación de la Mancomunidad. Una efeméride, la del Día de la Comarca, que se celebra cada 1 de febrero, y que este año ha habido que aplazar varios meses por las recomendaciones sanitarias relacionadas con la pandemia de la Covid-19. Ocho premios en ocho categorías, elegidos por votación popular Los alcaldes de los ocho municipios

San Roque hosts VI Provincial Prizes of Campo de Gibraltar The Teatro Juan Luis Galiardo, in San Roque hosted the presentation of the VI Provincial Prizes of the Association of Municipalities of Campo de Gibraltar, in a formal institutional event that involved the participation of the president of the provincial body, Juan Lozano, and the mayors of the eight municipalities. El paso de tráfico por la Av. de los Cortijos, pendiente de autorización • Los trabajos para la rehabilitación del tramo están en marcha desde la primavera pasada, tras las fuertes lluvias que provocaron el socavón, y aún se mantienen a la espera de la autorización de administración municipal para abrir su paso al tráfico ligero.

Sin prisas, por lo complejo de los trabajos y la necesidad de una actuación segura a largo plazo, pero sin pausa. El tráfico rodado se encuentra cortado en el cruce de la Av. de los Cortijos desde que el pasado marzo de produjera un importante incidente por culpa de las fuertes lluvias que provocaron el hundimiento de la calzada y destrozos en la cuenca hidráulica del enclave. Desde ese mismo momento, todas las administraciones implicadas se pusieron a trabajar en su solución, especialmente la EUC Parques de Sotogrande, quién lideró la propuesta y se puso manos a la obra en rehabilitar la zona, acometer una importante obra y adecuar con un exhaustivo estudio la ejecución de una nueva infraestructura mayor y más segura. De la cual, la primera fase ya está finalizada y tras el verano, se pondrá en marcha la segunda etapa del proyecto. Desde primavera, no han cesado los trabajos (durante varias semanas a

marchas forzadas), por tratar abrir el paso en ese punto tan estratégico de comunicación, al tratarse de la principal arteria de Sotogrande Alto, al menos para el tráfico rodado ligero. La realidad es que pese a la celeridad de los trabajos y la disposición en estos meses, desde inicios del verano aún se encuentra en fase de aprobación la apertura de paso por parte de la administración municipal, algo que se está demorando en el tiempo y que no hace

otra cosa que incrementar la incomodidad de numerosos vecinos a este respecto. Esperemos que en las próximas semanas den luz vez al paso de tráfico y que no perjudique, entre otros, a las conexiones durante el inminente torneo del European Tour en Valderrama. En la próxima edición de El Periódico de Sotogrande publicaremos un exhaustivo informe de toda la magnitud y pasos del proyecto en marcha.

Movement of traffic on Av. de los Cortijos, pending authorisation No hurry, due to the complexity of the work and the need for safe long-time action, but ongoing. Vehicular traffic has been cut off on the crossing of Avenida de los Cortijos since a significant incident last March due to the heavy rain that caused the sinking of the road and damage to the hydrological basin of the area. the start of the summer it is still pending approval from the municipal administration, which is being delayed over time and this simply increases inconvenience of several neighbours in this regard. We hope that over the coming weeks they will give the green light for its opening and that it will not damage, among others, the connections during the imminent European Tour at Valderrama. In the next edition of El Periódico de Sotogrande we will publish a rigorous report of the entire magnitude and the steps of the project underway.

CARTAS AL DIRECTOR Nos referimos a una conversación con el Sr. Braun hace unos días, quien nos aconsejó que nos pongamos en contacto con usted directamente, ya que informa periódicamente sobre el cierre de la ría y los posteriores trabajos de dragado. Como residentes desde hace mucho tiempo en el Río Guardiaro, seguimos este evento recurrente y también somos conscientes de algunas de las razones, como la reducción de las precipitaciones en comparación con el pasado o el aumento de la extracción de agua por parte de la agricultura; fenómenos que comparten otros ríos de España. Sin embargo, nunca se menciona otra posible razón, a saber, la posición de la boca. Geoff Lye, un buen conocido que también ha vivido en el río durante mucho tiempo, ha recopilado estos pensamientos y los adjuntamos. Nuestra conclusión compartida es que el río tiene que desembocar en el mar más hacia el oeste para que la desembocadura del río no se llene constantemente por la corriente de Levante: esto también corresponde a la posición histórica antes de que se desarrollara Sotogrande. We refer to a conversation with Mr Braun a few days ago, who advised us to contact you directly, as you regularly report on the closure of the estuary and the subsequent dredging work. As long-time residents on the Rio Guardiaro, we follow this recurring event and are also aware of some of the reasons, such as the reduced rainfall compared to the past or the increased water extraction by agriculture; phenomena that other rivers in Spain share. However, another possible reason is never mentioned, namely the position of the mouth. Geoff Lye, a good acquaintance who has also lived on the river for a very long time, has compiled these thoughts and we attach them. Our shared conclusion is that the river has to flow into the sea further to the west in order for the river mouth not to be constantly filled up by the Levante current: this also corresponds to the historical position before Sotogrande was developed. We would be pleased if you could promote this idea in your publication - and possibly also pass it on to the relevant authorities. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. LA ESTIMULACIÓN COGNITIVA COGNITIVE STIMULATION

El pensamiento El pensamiento es esa gran cualidad interna que tenemos los seres humanos para cambiar nuestra realidad y en general el mundo que nos rodea en pro de nuestras generaciones futuras. Se considera parte de las funciones cognitivas superiores o complejas, ya que en el pensamiento confluyen otros procesos mentales como la atención, la observación, la comprensión, la memoria, la curiosidad, el aprendizaje y demás habilidades intelectuales. Para ello, analizamos, criticamos, percibimos, comparamos, razonamos, etc. El lenguaje y el pensamiento van de la mano, de esta forma se enriquecen mutuamente. Cuando nos viene un pensamiento se representa en nuestra mente de varias formas, generalmente en conceptos o palabras, pero también en imágenes tanto de forma abstracta como simbólica. A causa de la inmensa información que recibimos del entorno, nuestro pensamiento se encarga de agrupar elementos que tengan algo en común en conceptos o ideas y las ordena en jerarquías con el objeto de ser más simple y eficaz. Una de las habilidades que genera el pensamiento es la resolución de problemas. En el día a día nos encontramos con problemas fáciles de resolver porque tenemos respuestas o soluciones automatizadas, ¡vamos con el piloto encendido!. Pero, ¿qué pasa cuando algo es novedoso y no tenemos una solución programada? Si dejamos que nuestro pensamiento trabaje, este utilizará diferentes estrategias, ensayo y error, probamos y si nos equivocamos volvemos a intentar otra vía; algoritmos, probamos todas las soluciones hasta encontrar la correcta (esto no es muy eficaz, así que nuestro pensamiento buscará un camino más corto); la heurística, aquí el ingenio innato nos ayudará,

por ejemplo, en la resolución de un crucigrama o puzzle. En ocasiones, la toma de decisiones dependerá del pensamiento o razonamiento que utilicemos. Muchas veces, deducimos algo basándonos en conocimientos anteriores, por ejemplo, si una persona tiene lagunas de memoria pensamos de inmediato en un inicio de demencia, de esta forma, generalizamos basándonos en una observación. De igual modo, en ocasiones, nos equivocamos porque hemos permitido que nuestras emociones interfieran en nuestras decisiones. Nuevas investigaciones han demostrado la interrelación que hay entre cerebro, corazón e intestino. De esta manera, sería interesante tener de nuevo las emociones en consideración y trabajarlas a favor de nuestro beneficio físico y mental. ¡Nada es baladí! En el siguiente artículo hablaremos de la Inteligencia y las distintas inteligencias, porque como bien escribió en su día Blaise Pascal “el corazón tiene razones que la razón ignora”...

Thinking Thinking is the great internal quality that human beings have to change our reality and the world in general around us in aid of our future generations. It is considered part of the higher or complex cognitive functions, as thinking involves other mental processes such as attention, observation, comprehension, memory, curiosity, learning and other intellectual skills. For this purpose, we analyse, criticise, perceive, compare, reason, etc. Language and thinking go hand-inhand, in this manner they enrich one another mutually. When a thought comes to us it is represented in our mind in several ways, generally in concepts or words, also in images both in an abstract and symbolic way. As a result of the immense amount of information that we receive from the environment, our thinking is responsible for grouping elements that have something in common into concepts or ideas and it orders them into hierarchies in order to be simpler and more efficient.

One of the abilities that thinking generates is problem solving. On a daily basis we encounter problems that are easy to resolve because we have automated answers or solutions, we have the warning light on! However, what happens when something is new and we don´t have a programmed solution? If we allow our thinking to work, it will use different strategies, trial and error, we try and if we get it wrong we try again another way; algorithms, we try all the solutions until we find the right one (this is not very efficient, so our thinking will seek a shorter route); heuristic, here the innate wit will help us, for example to solve a crossword or puzzle. Sometimes, decision making will depend on the thinking or reasoning that we use. Often, we deduce something based on previous knowledge, for example, if a person has memory lapses we immediately think of the onset of dementia, thus we generalise based on an observation. Likewise, sometimes, we make mistakes because we have allowed our emotions to interfere in our decisions. New studies have shown the interconnection that exists between the brain, heart and gut. Thus, it would be interesting to once again take emotions into consideration and work on them for our physical and mental benefit. Nothing is insignificant! In the next article we will talk about intelligence and the different intelligences, because as Blaise Pascal once correctly noted “The heart has its reasons, which reason does not know” ...

tivo de Sotogrande y con vistas incluso hacia África), para disfrutar de un increíble desfile de moda de baño por parte de Dolores Cortés. Increíble colección y pase de modelos que hizo transportar a los presentes (que no lo cambiarían ni por todo el oro del mundo este enclave idílico), a cualquier pasarela de altísimo nivel europea. Un cóctel como clausura y colofón para dar a degustar las innovaciones gastronómicas de SO/ Sotogrande pusieron e punto y final a un cita maravillosa. Recordar que ya se llevó a cabo una apertura oficial el pasado 28 de julio con la presencia de varios representantes locales y del ámbito empresarial.

The spectacular new and revamped five-star grand luxe resort in Sotogrande held an impressive launch for national and regional media and some of the most well-known faces from the resort. A brilliant initial reception, the perfect prelude for the swimwear fashion show by Dolores Cortés and the closing cocktail. A high-level event in the resort.

A spectacular launch and befitting of the Sotogrande name. It is inspiring to see something prepared with so much conscientiousness, detail, care taste and lots of level and quality. The official presentation of SO/ Sotogrande didn´t fail to make an impression on anyone, a highly acclaimed arrival by Grupo Accor alongside with revamped and reconverted five-star grand luxe hotel which manages to put the resort on the hotel map in its greatest expression. A colourful reception was the perfect prelude before the main event, the swimwear fashion show by the designer Dolores Cortés, the core behind the creation of a large part of the iconic images and emblem of the new hotel. The welcome by the SO/ Sotogrande gurus with their spectacular uninforms and gigantic fans (pay-pays), entertained the guests (a large part of the national press specialised in gastronomy, travel and resort), from arrival onwards. After going through and discovering MIXO the guests went to a fabulous Andalusian-style courtyard, to have the reception cocktail. The second event took place in one of the panoramic pools (overlooking the sea, Sotogrande marina, and even with views over Africa), to enjoy an incredible swimwear fashion show by Dolores Cortés. An incredible collection and fashion show that transported those present (who wouldn´t change this idyllic setting for all the gold in the world) to any extremely high level European catwalk. A closing cocktail at the end in order to savour the gastronomic innovations of SO/ Sotogrande added the finishing touch to a marvellous event. It is worth highlighting the performances of an acrobat in the pool to the amazement of those present. It should be remembered that an official opening took place on 28 July with the presence of several local representatives and figures from the business community.

La comunidad escolar del Valle del Guadiaro supera los los 2.750 alumnos este curso • El nuevo curso 2021-2022 se inicia con 2.752alumnos inscritos en los diferentes centros educativos locales. • El Colegio Internacional de Sotogrande supera el millar de alumnos, por tercer curso consecutivo. • A pocos kilómetros de Sotogrande se sitúan varios de los mejores centros del país, destacando dos de ellos, en el ‘Top 100’ nacional. Arranca un nuevo curso en el Valle del Guadiaro y con ello el estreno de muchas nuevas ilusiones y el regreso a las aulas tras el verano. Será el segundo curso en el que los escolares tengan que convivir con toda la normativa vigente de prevención por parte de las autoridades sanitarias y educativas respecto a la pandemiaCOVID-19: precisamente, tras los buenos resultados del pasado curso hacen presagiar que la vuelta al cole en el Valle del Guadiaro y Sotogrande también es sinónimo de garantía, seguridad y calidad. El curso escolar 2021-2022 comienza en el Valle del Guadiaro (y su área de influencia más cercana) con un incremento en la cuota de integrantes en su comunidad escolar. En números estimados (hasta que no comience a rodar el curso plenamente e incluso ya en marcha estas cifras pueden variar), la comunidad escolar local se sitúa este año en unos 2.752 alumnos

(aprox.) en total, una cifra que crece respecto a registros anteriores en los que se situaba en: 2.738 alumnos en 2020; 2.682 (2019), 2.550 (en 2018), 2.440 (en 2017), 2.183 alumnos (en 2016) o la doble unidad de millar, a secas, en 2015.

El Colegio San José es uno de los centros al que más estudiantes se desplazan cada día desde Sotogrande

Comunidad escolar local Como es tradición, el Colegio Internacional de Sotogrande (SIS) lidera el número de estudiantes inscritos para este curso en la zona. Este año afronta el curso superando el millar de alumnos en sus aulas (concretamente 1018), lo que supone un mínimo descenso respecto al censo del pasado curso pero en una línea ascendente extraordinaria con más de un millar de escolares en sus instalaciones y 214 alumnos de nueva matriculación. Respecto al volumen de multiculturalidad en su aulas, destaca que el 70% de los mismos sean de origen extranjero, haciendo muy rica su comunidad culturalmente.

Hasta más de 50 nacionalidades diferentes conviven entre sus clases; siendo la predominante la española seguida de la británica. Destacar, además de las más habituales, procedencias tan exóticas como Botswana, Arabia Saudí, Egipto, Santo Domingo o Malasia. Destacar también que cuenta con un número de profesores de 117, un dato que es otra gran referencia en el sector. Entre las novedades y credenciales que presenta el centro este curso destaca el nuevo edificio finalizado a principios de año que alberga 16 aulas, 4 laboratorios de diseño e informática, espacios para reunio-

nes, oficinas, una sala de profesores y una sala común del IB para nuestros alumnos mayores. Con vistas a Sotogrande y al mar, un edificio verdaderamente inspirador. También, en mayo se completaron unas instalaciones deportivas ampliadas, con un nuevo campo de fútbol de 5 a lateral y una nueva e increíble cancha de baloncesto.

También se encuentra ya en marcha, desde el principios del mes de septiembre, el nuevo curso para las guarderías y centros de primera edad. Los puntos municipales de Campanilla (San Enrique), con 35 plazas, y de Puente de Hierro en Pueblo Nuevo, con 41 plazas, habría que sumarle un cifra cercana al centenar que se reparte entre las diferentes guarderías privadas de la urbanización y todo el Valle del Guadiaro. Recuperando el hilo de mayor masa académica, tras el internacio-

nal sotograndino se situaría el CEIP Gloria Fuertes (repartido en zonas de Infantil y Primaria en Guadiaro y Pueblo Nuevo, respectivamente). En total acumula hasta el momento un total de 580 alumnos inscritos, lo que supone un crecimiento también respecto a los 575 del pasado curso. Se reparten, aproximadamente, entre 200 alumnos en Educación Infantil (Guadiaro), mientras que en Educación Primaria concurrirán este curso un total de 380 escolares (Pueblo Nuevo). Mencionar, en el siguiente apartado, al CEIP Barbésula en San Enrique de Guadiaro que durante este curso crece considerablemente en su censo. Este año alcanza los 201 alumnos, respecto a los 170 del pasado curso (divididos entre Infantil y Primaria). Para cerrar el capítulo local, el último en iniciar el curso en el IES Sierra Almenara (en Pueblo Nuevo). El centro, que ya sólo cuenta con niveles

Costa del sol. Los centros algecireños de Montecalpe y Puertoblanco son también dos de los destinos más demandados por la comunidad escolar local. Más de un centenar de estudiantes se desplazan cada día hasta estos dos

de secundaria, cifra en 336 alumnos, una cifra similar respecto a los 339 (aprox.) del pasado curso. Alumnos que estudian fuera del distrito Un amplio número de residentes de la urbanización y todo el Valle del Guadiaro eligen matricularse en centros vecinos y colegios cercanos. Tal es el caso de prácticamente un número cercano al medio millar, en muchos casos, buscando una diferenciación educativa a la propuesta de la zona. Tal es el caso del Colegio San José, en Estepona. Este centro, que año tras años continúa consolidado entre los 100 mejores del país, recibe diariamente a más de un centenar de estudiantes procedentes de Sotogrande. En su mayoría de procedencia española aunque las nacionalidades británicas y rusas le siguen muy de cerca. También conviven en el centro procedencias como la belga, italiana, holandesa o francesa, entre muchas otras hasta alcanzar la cifra de 16 países. Su bachillerato internacional y las impresionantes infraestructuras y oferta educativa, convierten al San José en uno de los colegios más demandados de toda la

En resumen, el Valle del Guadiaro y Sotogrande conforman una amplia comunidad educativa, cercana a la del cualquier municipio medio de la provincia en el que destaca su alto nivel educativo como atractivo y modelo de referencia cara al exterior.

School community in Valle del Guadiaro surpasses 2,750 pupils this year • The new year 2021-2022 is getting underway with more than 2,752 pupils enrolled in the different local schools. • Sotogrande International School has surpassed one thousand pupils, for the third consecutive year. • Within a few kilometres of Sotogrande are some of the best schools in the country, with top of them standing out, in the “Top 100” nationwide. A new year is getting underway in Valle del Guadiaro and with it the unveiling of many new hopes and the return to classrooms after summer. It will be the second year in which school pupils have to coexist with all the current prevention regulations of the health and education authorities relating to the COVID-19 pandemic: indeed, the good results of last year forecast that the return to school in Valle del Guadiaro and Sotogrande is also synonymous with guarantees, safety and quality. The 2021-2022 school year is getting underway in Valle del Guadiaro (and its closest area of influence) with an increase in the number of members in its school community. In terms of estimate numbers (until the year fully begins and even when it is underway, these figures may vary), the school community this year has around 2,752 pupils (approx.) in total, a figure that has risen in relation to previous

It is also worth highlighting that it has 117 teachers, a figure that is another great benchmark in the sector. Among the new additions and credentials the school is presenting this year, what stands out is the new building completed at the end of the year which houses 16 classrooms, 4 design and computing laboratories, spaces for meetings, offices, a staff room and an IB common room for our older pupils. With views over Sotogrande and the sea, it is a truly inspiring building. Also, in May

extended sports facilities were completed, with a new 5-a-side football pitch and a new and incredible basketball court. Also, since the start of September, the new year for nurseries and early school pupils is also underway. There are the municipal points of Campanilla (San Enrique), with 35 places, and Puente de Hierro in Pueblo Nuevo, with 41 places, as well as a figure of close to one hundred spread around the different private nurseries in the resort and all of Valle del Guadiaro. Returning to the subject of highest pupil numbers, after Sotogrande International School, is CEIP Gloria Fuertes (divided among the Pre-school and Primary areas in Guadiaro and

Aprender Mediando

The pedagogical value of a mediation process is something that is worthwhile highlighting. The mere fact of choosing this conflict resolution system when it comes to tackling a problem with a family member, business partner, employee, colleague or neighbours, involves undertaking a voyage of learning and self-discovery in every case. Learning to identify what is behind your own blocking position and that of the other, helps to understand what it is that prevents collaboration, dialogue and understanding. Having done this, it is much easier to come up with new solutions to the problem and achieve collaborative negotiations. Also, all of this occurs within a learning process that is largely meaningful, that is to say, learning does not come through theoretical assumptions, but rather with the actual conflict that you want to tackle, offering a road map so that, afterwards, the parties involved can take charge of the commitments acquired and the agreements reached by themselves. The mediator is responsible for facilitating that exchange through impartial leadership, mediating leadership that, helps to gradually transform criticisms into requests and apparently unsolvable statements into negotiable proposals. Provided that the situation allows for it, mediation sessions or training on how to manage conflicts are focused in a fun and friendly way, appl-

ying practical dynamics and exercises. Generally speaking, we can say that participating in a mediating process makes it possible to learn: 1. Strategies in order to adopt a broader and more objective perspective of the problem, framing old patterns through more complete new perspectives, that are fitting for the present situation and aimed at the future. 2. Transform beliefs that prevent undertaking lasting commitments. 3. Be aware of your own personal development process, as well as that of the people with whom there is a blockage or conflict. 4. Build a shared language on new perspectives that enable encounters through greater consideration of the other.

El valor pedagógico de un proceso de mediación es algo que merece la pena destacar. El mero hecho de optar por este sistema de resolución de conflictos a la hora de abordar un problema con un familiar, socio, empleado, compañero de trabajo o vecino, implica en todos los casos embarcarse en un viaje de aprendizaje y autodescubrimiento. Aprender a identificar lo que hay detrás de la postura bloqueante propia y la del otro, ayuda a entender qué es lo que impide que haya colaboración, dialogo y entendimiento. Comienza un nuevo curso con ilusión ‘hawaiana’

El pasado 10 de septiembre arrancamos el curso escolar 2021-2022 con la ilusión y la magia que tienen los nuevos comienzos. Por ello, cuidamos los detalles y nos aseguramos de que no faltaran las medidas de prevención de la salud, pero tampoco la diversión. Trajimos hawai a nuestro cole, y con ayuda de algunas de las estupendas familias que componen nuestro centro, bailamos, hicimos un taller de collares, disfrutamos de un photocall temático y degustamos brochetas de fruta. Así despedimos el verano y recibimos a nuestros queridos niños. Desde todo el claustro trasladamos nuestras ganas de lograr un año de aprendizaje bonito y fructífero, lleno de ideas y buenas intenciones. Comenzamos un camino nuevo en el que requeriremos de confianza, Apoyo, y ayuda, pues entre todos construiremos nuestro centro. Bienvenidos y bienhallados!

El Departamento de Mantenimiento de la Delegación de Educación del Ayuntamiento de San Roque está llevando a cabo el pintado de zonas exteriores de distintos centros educativos del municipio, una vez que durante el verano se realizó el pintado de interiores, para no interferir así con las clases. La teniente de alcalde de Educación, Belén Jiménez, ha inspeccionado algunos de los trabajos que se están ejecutando en estos días. Explicó la edil que “se comenzó con la pintura de interiores en verano, una vez que finalizaron las actuaciones de obra y de rehabilitación que se tuvieron que hacer en los

centros”. El objetivo era que al inicio del curso escolar en Infantil y Primaria, el pasado 10 de septiembre, tanto las aulas como distintas depen-

dencias y zonas comunes interiores estuvieran listas. A continuación, dijo Belén Jiménez, “se ha comenzado con la pintura exterior, que

seguimos realizando junto a la rehabilitación de los muros y el pintado, cambiando el color de verde a blanco. Se seguirá trabajando para finalizar

los 10 centros y 11 edificios de Primaria e Infantil del municipio”. Estos trabajos se suman a distintas inversiones llevadas a cabo durante el verano por la Delegación Municipal de Educación para acometer varias obras, como la sustitución de la claraboya de Infantil del CEIP San Bernardo o la rehabilitación de la rampa trasera de acceso al CEIP Maestro Apolinar, en este último caso con financiación de la empresa municipal Emadesa. En cualquier caso, apuntó la teniente de alcalde, se seguirán ejecutando trabajos de mantenimiento en los distintos centros educativos a lo largo de todo el curso.

El arte del polo, a través de Jesús Arnedo Bedoya El polo, frente a la artística mirada de Jesús Arendo Bedoya. La obra de este artista jerezano nos sigue sorprendiendo cada día más. En sus nuevos trabajos destacan las esculturas, aquellas que se adentran en los orígenes de lo que este maravilloso deporte que es polo. Un trabajo que estuvo expuesto en las instalaciones de Santa María Polo Club y Santa María Equestrian Club. Recordar que este artista fue el protagonista de la portada de POLO by La Bocha en su edición de 2020. Estas investigaciones le van a lle-

var hasta la Dinastía Tang, con lo que va dar comienzo a su proyecto llamado ‘Estrategia’. En estas obras se representa e interpreta los distintos movimientos que forman parte del polo, buscando el contraste con colores opuestos como son el blanco y el negro, de manera similar a su obra pictórica. Según indagaciones de Arendo, a nivel artístico, el polo llegó a Europa a través de la India. El origen indio del juego del ajedrez y sus movimientos basados en las estrategias de ataque y defensa hace que tenga cierta similitud

con el polo, lo que el artista ha aprovechado para dar forma a su nuevo trabajo. Las piezas, blancas y negras entran en el tablero de juego para buscar la victoria. Asimismo, también ha añadido nuevos cuadros. En esta serie realiza un análisis en profundidad para extraer todos los matices del blanco a través de su opuesto, el negro.

Las instalaciones de Santa María Polo Club y Ayala Polo Club acogieron durante este mes de septiembre la disputa de del FIP XIII European Championship 2021. El cuarteto italiano (Stefano Giansanti 0, Therance Cusmano 1, Gregorio Gelosi 4, Miguel Lagos Marmol 3) fue el más regalar y capaz de llevarse el triunfo en la jornada definitiva al superar en la final a Austria en el último minuto, por 6-5 goles, tras un partido muy igualado. Por su parte, el combinado español (Roberto Iturrioz o, Pedro Becca 2, Nicolas Ruiz Guiñazu 4, Alvaro Alvarez 2), gano en la disputa del tercer y cuarto puesto la Copa “La Reserva” a la selección de Países Bajos, por 10 a 4 y finalizó en tercera posición. El polo sigue y sigue y continúa en Sotogrande esta etapa de pos-temporada tras el 50º Torneo Internacional de Verano. En este caso, con la disputa del Campeonato de España de Polo, disputado en las instalaciones de Ayala Polo Club, con la victoria del equipo JAI Polo Team. El cuarteto formado por James Nuttal, Cruz Marchini, Ned Gine y Javier Guerrero (h); se hizo con la victoria en el campeonato; seguido de Electric Polo (Sarah Braune, Alicia Gariador, Francisco Crotto y Fabian Bolanterio. El conjunto representante de la Federación Española finalizó en tercera posición; equipo formado por: Roberto Ituarrioz, Pedro Beca, Nicolás Ruiz Guiñazú y Álvaro Álvarez. The Almonte rider Diego Ramírez took Gold in the 4 year events, earned with an average of 71.400. In the Classical event, the Swedish rider Karin Orsing took third place. A priori puede parecer que Netflix nos trae una serie más sobre adolescentes, institutos y sexo, pero en este caso va más haya, intentando naturalizar de una manera irreverente diversos temas como la sexualidad, las emociones, las relaciones sociales, la diversidad de genero y raza o la salud mental, todo ello aderezado con grandes dosis de humor que la hace tan adictiva. El protagonista principal de la serie es Otis, interpretado por Asa Butterfield (El niño con el pijama de rayas), un adolescente que no se siente cómodo con su propia sexualidad que muy a su pesar es hijo de una reputada terapeuta sexual, a la que da vida Gillian Anderson (Expediente X), que analiza el comportamiento de su hijo y que este intentara mantener en secreto la profesión de su madre. Como todo buen secreto se acaba haciendo publico en los primeros días de instituto por lo que Meave una joven con un gran potencial, pero con una vida marginal, a la que encarna Emma Mackey (Summit Fever), va a buscarlo para intentar solucionar un problema de índole sexual de uno de sus compañeros. Tras aplicar todo su conocimiento adquirido a través de su madre con gran éxito, nuestro protagonista y su compañero montan una clínica sexual en el instituto que darán pie al trato de una amplia variedad de temas.

Sex Education At first glance it may seem that Netflix is bringing us yet another series about teenagers, high schools and sex, but in this case it goes beyond that, trying to naturalise in an irreverent way various topics such as sexuality, emotions, social relationships, gender and racial diversity or mental health, all seasoned with large doses of humour that makes it so addictive. The main protagonist of the series is Otis, played by Asa Butterfield (The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas), a teenager who does not feel comfortable with his own sexuality and is the son of a reputed sex therapist, played by Gillian Anderson (The X-Files), who analyses her son’s behaviour and tries to keep his mother’s profession a secret. Like all good secrets, it becomes public in the first days of high school, so Meave, a young woman with great potential but with a marginal life, played by Emma Mackey (Summit Fever), goes to look for him to try to solve a sexual problem of one of her classmates. After applying all her knowledge gained through her mother with great success, our protagonist and her partner set up a sex clinic at the school that will lead to the treatment of a wide variety of issues.
