Big crowd expected for mountain race It’s Pomona’s big day of the year! The annual Wimmers King of the Mountain Festival and its gruelling signature race, the Bendigo Bank International Mountain Challenge up Mount Cooroora, will be staged on Sunday 27 July. New events and increased sponsorship are expected to attract up to 15,000 people on the day. For Pomona’s sporting and community groups, the King of the Mountain Festival is a major fund-raising activity for the year – so get right behind them!
