were chosen from North West England. Two of these were from Lancashire West - so congratulations all round. There are many stories and poems that are so interesting.

We are now back together face-to-face as winter nights have drawn in.

In October our guild is to visit Waddow Hall near Clitheroe, one of four Guide Houses in the Country. We are going by coach and having afternoon tea. We meet on Wednesdays in schools term time at Pilling Methodist Church and cater for Boys and Girls from 6 years old to 14.

WYRE VILLA After the first few weeks of the season, I am pleased to report both our teams have maintained a strong start to the campaign. In recent weeks our first team notched up some impressive results beating Horwich away from home 6-1, followed by a 3-1 home victory over Stoneclough and a week later registering a superb 8-0 victory away at Crooklands. Not to be outdone our reserves have been equally impressive defeating local rivals Lytham Town and Thornton Cleveleys both by two goals to one away from home. Reserves also managed to score eight
