Huddersfield’s renowned industrial and manufacturing history is distinctly reflected by the collections held in Heritage Quay. The archival records of Huddersfield-based valve manufacturers Hopkinsons Ltd. comprise one of the largest and most complete archives. Dating from 1824 until the 1990s, this collection tells an international story of the growth and development of a British business throughout the 19th and 20th centuries.
