BEL-AIR Bel-Air property remains a consistently stable market in Greater Los Angeles. Over the past three years, the median sales price of homes has stayed within $150,000 of itself, never dipping below $2,000,000. This quarter was no different.

BEVERLY HILLS Sales volume in Beverly Hills Q1 rose 32%, to the highest point we’ve seen since early 2014. With slight upticks in the average price per square foot, Beverly Hills undoubtedly continues to sit atop the luxury real estate mountain in the Los Angeles area.

BEVERLY HILLS POST OFFICE Beverly Hills Post Office continues to appreciate and remains as one of the safest long-term investments as it rose 12% from three years (despite slight quarter-to-quarter volatility). The average price per square foot of a home jumped 14.5% over the last three years.

BRENTWOOD Brentwood enjoyed its most productive Q1 in over three years. Rising 47% since 2014, the median price of a home has never been higher. There’s no question that Brentwood remains one of the area’s strongest luxury markets.

CENTURY CITY Century City continued to assert itself as one of Los Angelese' most desirable markets, reaching new heights in the latest quarter. The median price of a sold home was $1,110,000, a 26% increase since Q1 of 2014. The median price of a home is the highest we've ever seen in Century City and that's a testament to the trends we've seen in the neighborhood for some time now.

HANCOCK PARK Hancock Park enjoyed its most productive Q1 in over three years. The median price of a home has increased31% over the last three years, which is likely due to the rich history of one of the fiinest neighborhoods in Los Angeles.
MALIBU Malibu has seeminlgy never been more valuable than it was in Q1. endured its slowest volume quarter in over three years in Q4. The highest median price of a home coupled with the highest average square foot per home in any Q1 helped secure Malibu as one of the area's strongest luxury markets.

PACIFIC PALISADES The Pacific Palisades enjoyed its strongest Q1 in over three years, and this remains one of Los Angeles’ most consistently strong real estate markets. The average price per square foot of a home surpassed previous years at $986, and it’s now been eight consecutive quarters of that figure being over the $900 mark.
SUNSET STRIP The Sunset Strip remains the most consistently stable market in all of Los Angeles, rising 4% this past quarter. Over the past three years, the median sales price of homes has stayed within $225,000 of itself, never dipping below $1,200,000 and never rising above $1,487,500. This past quarter proves Sunset Strip remains a market with a bright future.
WEST HOLLYWOOD West Hollywood home prices ascended to new heights in the latest quarter, although average price per square foot took a slight dip since Q1 of 2016. The median price of a sold home was $907,500 a 32% increase since Q1 of 2014.

Welcome to the Hilton & Hyland Market Report, our examination of the 2017 first quarter sales figures in the Los Angeles real estate market. Since its inception, Hilton & Hyland has become internationally known as the premier Beverly Hills real estate brokerage. This past year, we amassed an astounding 60 sales priced $10,000,000 and above, more than any other Los Angeles real estate firm. As a leader in the luxury real estate market, it gives us great pleasure to present this comprehensive report. Throughout the following pages, you will find a detailed analysis on all key neighborhoods in the Los Angeles area, along with specific insights into the ultra-luxury market. Hilton & Hyland continues to set the standard for 2017 as we have had yet another record-breaking Q1 by not only selling the most expensive listing this year, but having nearly $1.5 billion in current inventory priced $20 million and over. As a founding affiliate of the elite Christie’s International Real Estate, Hilton & Hyland enjoyed five of Christie’s Top 10 Sales in 2017 and comprised 70% of their Top Sales in the month of February alone. With only the premiere international brokerages affiliated with Christie’s, representing 70% of their Top Sales not only continues to reinforce our position in Los Angeles, but throughout the world. Unsurprisingly, no brokerage in Los Angeles has sold more top properties than Hilton & Hyland. Virtually all real estate was up this past quarter, especially when compared with normal Q4 production. This can be attributed to many things. Most notably, the United States presidential election saw the nation’s economy rally, as the incoming administration promised to restrict business much less than the preceding. Although interest rates endured a modest increase, all stock indexes soared post-election, and home sales (and home values) all enjoyed a fantastic surge, especially in the ultra-lux market ($5,000,000+). A potent mix of progressive economic recovery, tight housing stocks, and continued low mortgage rates are expected to support this robust market outlook for the foreseeable future.
