BEL-AIR Bel-Air property remains a consistently stable market in Greater Los Angeles. In fact, Bel-Air enjoyed its most productive Q3 in over two years with the average sales price of homes jumping to $2,257,000, a 9% increase from 2014.

BEVERLY HILLS The median price of a sold home in Beverly Hills rose 44% to $2,436,250, the highest point we’ve seen since 2014. With an 11% uptick in the average price per square foot, Beverly Hills undoubtedly continues to sit atop the luxury real estate mountain in the Los Angeles area.

BEVERLY HILLS POST OFFICE Beverly Hills Post Office enjoyed its strongest third quarter yet as it rose 21% from 2014, just under an average of $3,000,000. Rising 15% over the last three years, the average price per square foot of a home rose to $874.

BRENTWOOD Brentwood remains one of the more stable long-term investments in Greater Los Angeles despite slight quarter-to-quarter volatility. The average price of a sold home rose to $1,900,000, a 51% increase from 2014. There’s no question that Brentwood remains one of the area’s strongest luxury markets.

CENTURY CITY Century City continued to assert itself as one of Los Angeles’ most desirable markets. The median price of a sold home was $1,042,500, a 24% increase since Q3 of 2014. Century City witnessed its highest third quarter in the past three years where the average price per square foot of a home enjoyed a 16% increase, rising to $754.

HANCOCK PARK Hancock Park enjoyed its most productive Q3 in over three years. The median price of a home has increased 33% to $1,269,000 over the last three years, which is likely due to the rich history of one of the finest neighborhoods in Los Angeles.

MALIBU Despite slight volatility between quarters, Malibu still enjoyed a 28% increase in the median price of a sold home over the past three years. The highest average square foot dollar in any third quarter since 2014 at $1,263 has helped secure Malibu as one of the area’s strongest luxury markets.

PACIFIC PALISADES Enjoying the highest average median price sold in any quarter over the last three years at $2,799,500, the Pacific Palisades has undoubtedly emerged as a market to be reckoned with. The average price per square foot of a home surpassed previous years at $1,037, and it’s now been nine consecutive quarters of that figure surpassing the $900 mark.

SUNSET STRIP The Sunset Strip remains the most consistently stable market in all of Los Angeles. Rising 7% over the last three years, the median sales price of homes has never dipped below $1.2M and has never risen above $1.5M until now, reaching $1,520,750. This past quarter proves Sunset Strip remains a market with a bright future.

WEST HOLLYWOOD West Hollywood home prices ascended to new heights in the latest quarter, with average price per square foot rising to $731, an 18% increase over the last three years. The median price of a sold home was $938,125, a 28% increase since Q2 of 2014.

Welcome to the Hilton & Hyland Market Report, our examination of the 2017 third quarter sales figures in the Los Angeles real estate market. Since its inception, Hilton & Hyland has become internationally known as the premier Beverly Hills real estate brokerage. In the first quarter, the company enjoyed increased production in the luxury market, having sold the most expensive listing at $48,000,000. In Q2, we wrapped up the highest first two quarters in company history. In the third quarter, we closed Los Angeles’ highest sale of 2017 at $88,000,000. Hilton & Hyland continues to set the tone into the fourth quarter as we launch the famous Johnny Carson Estate. As a leader in the luxury real estate market, it gives us great pleasure to present this comprehensive report. Throughout the following pages, you will find a detailed analysis on all key neighborhoods in the Los Angeles area, along with specific insights into the ultra-luxury market. Hilton & Hyland continues to set the standard for 2017 as we have broken yet another record this past quarter. Not only has June reflected the highest sales volume in the company’s history, but the first two quarters of 2017 have also been the highest in the company’s 24-year-long history.
