Carpentry Level 2
This course will advance your industry skills to professional standards and widen your knowledge of all aspects of site carpentry, including structural carcassing and construction technology.
This course emphasises ‘learning by doing’ and will further build your confidence and capabilities in your practical skills, preparing you for either employment or working on-the-job in an apprenticeship. It combines practical sessions in a specialist purpose-built workshop featuring industry-standard equipment dedicated to site carpentry activities to a realistic scale, along with classroom theory lessons. The theory will support the development of industry standard practical skills through such techniques as first fix, second fix and structural carcassing components. You can take part in a variety of site visits to learn more about the industry and the range of career routes available.
