MANNY ALFONSO, President and Founder of The A Group Holding, LLC, is a prominent figure in the community. His agency, a full-service Hispanic marketing, event, and public relations agency, has offices in Miami, New York, and Houston and services more than a dozen clients, ten of which are Fortune 500 companies. The agency also serves as a consultant in several local, state, and federal political campaigns, providing valuable strategic guidance. Manny’s experience includes Chief of Staff to former Miami Mayor Maurice Ferre and Executive VP for Ferre Holdings LTD, overseeing development and operations in multiple countries.

Alfonso is deeply rooted in the community. He serves on the board of Directors for several local and national not-for-profit organizations, including La Liga Contra Cancer, Miami Children’s Hospital, American Heart Association, Miami Heat Foundation, and the BB&T (Branch Banking & Trust Company) Advisory Board. Manny has received recognition from the Cambridge Who’s Who and has been honored with the prestigious Southeast Excellence External Partnership Award from Procter & Gamble. He is a recipient of the South Florida Health Department Volunteerism Award and the Key to Miami-Dade County.

Q & A with Manny Alfonso:

What would you say is “Eddy and Manny’s” secret to success?

We are incredibly hands-on and strategic, always thinking outside the box and delivering our client’s results. We are better known as the “apaga fuego” (Spanish slang meaning “put out fires”) – We are quick and efficient. As we combine our expertise and experience in traditional and new media, this fusion has proven to be a winning combination for our A clients.

What is the #1 strength that Eduardo Moya brings to the table?

I saw a younger version of myself when I met Eddy--with the same drive, passion, and persistence, but in the digital and social media evolution. He was so ahead of the game that it captivated my attention. We worked on several projects together and blew it out of the water; the rest is history.

Coming from the traditional media world, what’s your take on Modern Marketing?

The Fortune 500 companies I worked with lacked digital marketing. Eddy and I created a unique and effective synergy between the old and the new. We were able to help our clients add digital and social media marketing and “over the top” (OTT) - streaming platform - which means over-broadcast. We just got approved to be a beta advertiser for Hulu. Access to Hulu’s backend is priceless and incredibly beneficial to our clients.
