ITINERARY

DAY 1: Arrive Lamington National Park

Collect your car hire from Gold Coast airport and set off on an adventure into the Gold Coast Hinterland. Your accommodation for the next two nights will be at O’Reilly’s Rainforest Retreat.

DAY 2: At Lamington National Park

Today offers a choice of many free activities to immerse yourself in. Take the early morning bird walk to explore the hiking tracks and trails. Climb the Tree Top Walk, the first of its kind in Australia, which offers a bird’s eye view of the region. There are over 500 waterfalls to find and make sure you visit the replica Stinson plane which crashed in the area in 1937.

DAY 3: Lamington National Park to Gold Coast

After a morning dip in the infinity pool it’s time to depart. Taking the scenic route to the Gold Coast via the Tambourine Mountain we suggest stopping for a wander through the Gallery Walk, discover the boutique gardens, or stop by Thunderbird Park, home to the Tree Top challenge, Thunderegg Mining & Skywalk. While there sample some of the local crafts, including award winning wines and spirits.

DAY 4: At Gold Coast

Start the day with a rush of adrenaline as you jump on board Paradise Jetboating. Feel the thrill as you experience 360° spins and high-speed drifting as you explore the Gold Coast Waterways. Spend the evening choosing where to eat at the many restaurants on offer in Surfers Paradise or you might like to visit Spirits of the Red Sand. Here you join a one-of-its-kind immersive story-telling journey of an aboriginal family struggles from dreamtime to the turbulent 1800s. As you dine you are entertained by song and dance.

DAY 5: Depart Gold Coast

Sadly your holiday has come to an end however if you have some spare time before your flight we suggest a visit to Sky Point Observation Deck. Whether you stay indoors on the observation Skydeck or climb to the top of the building either way you will have the best view of the Gold Coast, to the Hinterland and all the way down the coastline.

ITINERARY

DAY 1: Arrive Brisbane

Welcome to Brisbane. From heritage buildings and world-class museums to rooftop restaurants and boutique breweries, discover the riverside capital city of Brisbane.

DAY 2: At Brisbane

Enjoy the entire day at your leisure to explore Brisbane. You can stroll along the waterfront walking paths and visit the family-friendly area of Southbank which offers a variety of breakfast and lunch restaurants. This afternoon you may choose to cruise the snaking Brisbane River to Lone Pine Sanctuary for an up-close Australian wildlife experience.

DAY 3: Brisbane to Moreton Island

You will be collected from your hotel and transferred to Holt Street Wharf. Board your 75 minute scenic cruise to the third largest sand island in the world. Discover pristine beaches, mysterious shipwrecks, wild dolphins or join one of many adventurous activities including quad biking, snorkelling, and twilight kayaking.

DAY 4: At Moreton Island

Today you will feel the thrill as you join Tangalooma’s 4WD desert safari. You will get a unique look into the heart of Moreton Island before trying your skills on the exhilarating Island sport which is sand tobogganing where you can reach up to speeds of 40km/h.

DAY 5: Depart Brisbane

It’s time to pack up and head back to the mainland. With a few ferry departures throughout the day you can choose to leave bright and early or push it back and soak up island life a bit longer.
