David was born in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, in 1968 He attended public schools and a vocational high school for Electronics. David joined the Air Force in 1986, just weeks after graduating, where he specialized in Electronic Warfare. After four years, he entered the National Guard for an additional five years, where he specialized in Satellite Communications.

David married in 1993 and soon after moved to Arizona for a short period He moved back to Massachusetts and held various positions at Hewlett Packard, Tyco Electronics, and others. David and his wife Kimberley have two sons, Kyle and Evan, who are doing amazing things in the military.

David Dion moved to Arizona in 2000 He made a career change into real estate in 2003 In 2005 he founded the Valley Solutions Team In 2008 he founded Solutions Real Estate, which eventually had over 400 agents in Arizona and Southern California. In 2018 he made another change, sold the successful company, and joined HomeSmart.
