CELEBRATING 15
WE CATCH UP WITH DESIGNER GLEN PELOSO LOOKING BACK AT THE LAST 15 YEARS Losing both of my parents and witnessing the aging process first hand gave me a new perspective of both life and home. It opened my eyes to how homes are used and supposed to function and how they bring joy and wrap themselves around the identity of the owner. This has helped me to bring more purpose and meaning to what I do. MY BIGGEST ACCOMPLISHMENT wouldn't be work. Of course, there are hundreds of projects that I'm really proud of but creating a happy home and happy family is even better. Those things fill your work with new knowledge and understanding. My daughter, a lovely young lady, can always offer another perspective from her vantage point on beauty, design, social issues and more. Hearing the perspective of youth is amazing. My partner brings me a more corporate point of view as well as a first generation immigrant perspective. It's an accomplishment because it is in a constant stat of flux of situation and emotion. They are people living in a space. The design of that space has to accommodate the people, which sometimes means the best “look for the architecture of the room, has to be let go of in favor of the people. Every designer knows those things but to understand them truly is different.
Glen Peloso has been contributing to the magazine for over a decade and has graced our covers multiple times including these two covers from 2008 And 2012
