วันสำคัญสำหรับพวกเรำนำยกสโมสร วันสัมมนานายกสโมสรพบผู้ว่าการ ภาค ครั้งที่ 1 ในวันเสำร์ที่ 22 สิ งหำคม 2558 ณ โรงแรมมิรำเคิล แกรนด์ คอนเวนชัน่ ถนนวิภำวดี ได้ผำ่ นพ้นไปด้วยดี ประสบควำมสำเร็ จเป็ นอย่ำง มำก โดยได้รับคำชมจำกหลำยท่ำน ต้องขอขอบคุณเจ้ำภำพจริ งๆครับ นอกจำกนี้ ในตอนเย็นเรำได้มีปำร์ต้ ีสังสรรค์ ชื่อว่ำ ปำร์ต้ ีข้ ีหมูไหล คน อะไรมำพบกัน ซึ่งสนุกสนำนมำก และพวกเรำก็รักและสนิทกันมำกขึ้น อย่ำงไรก็ตำม วันนี้เรำก็ตอ้ งกลับมำทำหน้ำที่ผนู้ ำสโมสร เพื่อช่วยเหลือ ผูด้ อ้ ยโอกำสต่อไป
The important date for all of us, Club Presidents which was the day for Club Presidents Meet District Governor #1 held on Saturday 22 August 2015 at Miracle Grand Convention Hotel has passed with success and compliments of many people. Many thanks and congratulations to the Organizing Host Club. Moreover, in the evening we also had a party, which was really fun and made our bond stronger and love each other more. However, today we must continue to perform our duty as club leaders in order to continue helping the unfortunates. For urgent news in this E-News is still the support for Flood Disaster Relief in Myanmar, which Rotary Club of Yangon, the local Rotary club, has constantly provided helps and donations to help flood victims. Please note that all donations made earlier will be given to the flood victims very soon; so if anyone or any club still would like to make donations, please do so real soon. The good news in this E-News is that Rotary in Taiwan is offering a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholarship for one year during the Rotary year 2016-17. The basic information on eligibility and requirements including schedule are already in this E-News. Should you have any inquiries, you may directly contact PP Sirichai Simaskul, District International Service Chair. (UPDATE) From the most recent news about flood situation in different states of Myanmar, which is in the boundary of our District 3350 Rotary International, right now the Rotary Club of Yangon, the local Rotary club, has worked very hard to help the flood victims. Taiwan Rotary Ambassadorial Scholarship Rotary in Taiwan has a 2016-17 Rotary Ambassadorial Scholarship available for an individual in District 3350 for 1 year. Anyone interested must have qualifications as below: 1. 25 – 40 years old 2. Never receive any Taiwan scholarships in the past 3. Having entrance permission from any graduate school in Taiwan. 4. Need to recommend by the local district club. 5. Then, recommend by Taiwan district club. 6. The last, verify by Chung Hwa Rotary Educational Foundation 7. The scholarship must be dealt through District 3350 only. Schedule for the Scholarship Works: 1. Submit required document to the sponsor Rotary District before 30 September. 2. Applicants shall be chosen from the Sponsor District before 31 October. 3. Applicants shall be chosen from the Host District before 30 November. 4. Run to End Polio 2015 From the latest news from RI that the goal in eradicating Polio worldwide is so close to be achieved, there are only remaining 2 countries – Pakistan and Afghanistan. Therefore, the final push is very crucial. Hence, District 3350 would like to invite Rotarians to participate in an End Polio Campaign by joing in Run to End Polio 2015 event on Sunday 13 December 2015 under the Rama VIII Bridge. The District also makes shirts for the event as a fundraising to support the campaign at the price of 300 Baht each. If any Rotarian interested in purchasing shirts, please contact AG.CP.Suphin Fooklin who is responsible for producing and selling shirts.

Opens “Life Without Diseases Is a Great Fortune” Program to promote the elimination of Leprosy Disease in Thailand as a Royal Charity. The program involves the giving of knowledge about dermatosis (skin diseases) to people. Dr. Prasert Sampoonnachote, an expert in this medical area, is the advisor to the program.

ขอเรี ยนเชิญ ท่ำนนำยกสโมสร ส่งเยำวชนเข้ำอบรมให้ครบ ทุก สโมสร อย่ำงน้อยสโมสรละ 2 คน (มำกกว่ำ 2 คนได้) โดยสมัคร ก่อนได้ก่อน หำกท่ำนใดหรื อสโมสรใดไม่มีเยำวชนเข้ำอบรม สำมำรถสนับสนุนอินเตอร์แรคท์เตอร์ได้ เรำมีเยำวชนที่อยำกเข้ำ อบรม แต่ขำดทุนทรัพย์อีกมำกมำย
Club Presidents are encouraged to send at least 2 participants (can be more than 2). The registration will be on First Come, First Serve Basis. For anyone or any club without any participants to send in, you can support Interactors – we have lots of children who would like to participate but lack financial supports.

ทองไม่รู้ร้อน การเข้ าประชุมสโมสร ขอให้ถอยหลังกลับมำสักนิด หลำยปี ก่อน สภำนิติบญั ญัติได้ประกำศ ว่ำกิจกรรมในโรตำรี ที่ทดแทนกำรประชุมได้น้ นั มีมำกมำยหลำย ประกำร ซึ่ งรวมไปถึงวิธีกำรต่ำง ๆ ไม่ใช่แค่กำรไปร่ วมประชุมต่ำง สโมสร แต่กำรประชุมแบบอื่น ๆ ในสโมสรของตนเองเช่น ประชุม กรรมกำรฝ่ ำยต่ำง ๆ กำรประชุมบอร์ ด (กรรมกำรบริ หำร) กำร ออกไปทำโครงกำร (ซึ่ งบำงสโมสรใช้เวลำอยูก่ บั กิจกรรมนั้น ๆ นำน เป็ นชัว่ โมงหรื อสองชัว่ โมง) ก็นบั ได้ว่ำเป็ นกำรทดแทนกำรประชุม ที่ ทดแทนได้น้ นั มีควำมหมำยรวมถึงกิจกรรมบำเพ็ญประโยชน์ของโร ตำรี แต่มีเงื่อนไขว่ำจะให้เป็ นคะแนนกำรประชุมได้ สมำชิกท่ำนนั้น ก็ตอ้ งรำยงำนไปยังเลขำนุกำรสโมสรถึงกำรได้เข้ำร่ วมกิจกรรม ดังกล่ำว หลำยสโมสรมีแบบฟอร์ มลงลำยมือชื่อในกำรประชุม กรรมกำรฝ่ ำย หรื อกำรเข้ำร่ วมกิจกรรมบำเพ็ญประโยชน์ แล้วส่ง รำยชื่อนั้นให้แก่เลขำนุกำรสโมสร เท่ำนั้นก็คือว่ำเป็ นคะแนนกำร ประชุมสำหรับสมำชิกได้เลย การประเมินการมีส่วนร่ วม ทำไมสภำนิติบญั ญัติยอมกำรทดแทนเช่นนั้น ก็เพรำะว่ำคะแนนกำร ประชุมจะไม่ใช่จุดที่สมำชิกมำที่ห้องประชุมสโมสรอีกต่อไป เพรำะ จำกนี้ไปกำรประเมินคะแนนกำรประชุมจะประเมินจำกกำรมีส่วน ร่ วมของสมำชิก นี่คือดัชนีบ่งชี้ว่ำสโมสรทำได้ดีพอหรื อไม่ในกำร สร้ำงหนทำงแห่งกำรร่ วมมือร่ วมใจของสมำชิกในกิจกรรมต่ำง ๆ ของ โรตำรี เชื่อผมเถิด เรำมีสถิติที่พิสูจน์ได้ว่ำเมื่อสมำชิกขำดกำรมีส่วน ร่ วมในสโมสรแล้ว นัน่ หมำยถึงทำงลัดที่จะพำเขำถอดใจและเขียน ใบลำออกให้ท่ำน ดูที่รำยงำนคะแนนกำรประชุม คนที่มำประชุมน้อย หรื อไม่มำเลยคือคนที่กำลังคิดจะลำออก คุณจะทำอะไรได้บำ้ งไหมที่ จะหำทำงให้เขำเข้ำมำมีส่วนร่ วม และหวังยิ่งกว่ำนั้นคือ หวังว่ำเขำจะ ชื่นชอบในกิจกรรมบำงอย่ำงที่สโมสรหยิบยื่นให้เขำร่ วมปฏิบตั ิ ที่สำคัญกว่ำนั้น กำรวิเครำะห์กำรมีส่วนร่ วม (คะแนนกำรประชุมก็คือ เครื่ องมือพื้นฐำนที่สุด) ก็เสมือนหนึ่งกำรสร้ำงหลักประกันยืนยันว่ำ สมำชิกได้ผลตอบแทนจำกกำรลงทุนมำเป็ นสมำชิกสโมสรของเขำ
The elephant in the living room? ATTENDANCE. Let’s step back. Several years ago, Rotary’s Council on Legislation declared that almost ANY legitimate Rotary activity qualifies as a make-up. This includes not only attending another club’s meeting, but also a committee meeting or board meeting, working on a project (some clubs say for at least one or two hours), etc. “Etc.” means anything that can reasonably be called a Rotary service activity. Now, of course to get “credit” for a make-up, the member has to report that qualifying activity to the club secretary. Most clubs use a sign-in sheet at a committee meeting or project and then forward the whole list to the secretary. Measuring engagement Why did the Council do that? Because the point of tracking attendance is not to make people come to meetings. When measured this way, it’s a measure of engagement — a key performance indicator of how your Rotary club is doing at involving members in Rotary activities. Believe me, we have the data to prove that when a member isn’t engaged and involved in the club, it’s a short trip to a resignation letter. Look at your members’ attendance percentages. Those at the bottom of the list are thinking about resigning. What can you do to get them engaged, involved, and — hopefully — passionate about something the club is doing? More importantly, tracking engagement (attendance is a surrogate) is an important way of ensuring that members get the return on their Rotary investment that they deserve. Members who don’t show up for club activities aren’t getting the benefit of Rotary, and if we can identify those folks early, we can intervene and get them involved in something they’re interested in. Participation versus attendance So, let’s not only treat attendance as a key performance indicator for engagement but let’s explain it the same way

Rather than, “You have to attend four meetings a month,” say, “We expect you to participate in some Rotary activity four times a month — you pick the activity that works for you, and you pick the time.” I think that’s a whole different message, and actually what we’re attempting to promote and measure. It’s not about making people come to meetings. It’s about offering them a platform where they, in their own ways and based on their own preferences, can Be a Gift to the World.
