Dragi mladi sportaši i sportašice,
Zlatko Mateša Predsjednik Hrvatskog olimpijskog odbora
Dear young athletes,
U ime Hrvatskog olimpijskog odbora i osobno ime želim svima puno sportskih uspjeha i osobnog zadovoljstva.
EYOF
2022
Banská Bystrica
the 16th European Youth Olympic Festival in Banska Bystrica is an opportunity for young athletes to prove themselves in terms of sports. It turned out that at EYOF the great athletes of tomorrow are affirmed. The Olympic medalists Sandra Perković, Duje Draganja and Tin Srbić, many Olympians and athletes who, as seniors, achieved great results at the European and World championships, gained their first experiences in multi-sports events exactly at EYOF. I believe that, besides the sports competitions, our male and female athletes will not forget - at all times - to promote the Olympic spirit, friendship, fair play and tolerance, and that they will present themselves and all Croatian sports with dignity.

for many young athletes the European Youth Olympic Festival is the first real mirror of their international success and the Croatian Olympic Committee is extremely proud of the 76 athletes who will participate in the 16th Summer EYOF in Banska Bystrica.

Previous achievements of young Croatian athletes at EYOF, where they compete in a very tough competition of their European peers, are the confirmation to the Croatian Olympic Committee that it is - in terms of its development programs for athletes - on the right track. NOC of Croatia will continue to support them on their way to the status of top athletes, future Olympians. I deeply believe that young Croatian athletes will compete fairly in eight sports at the EYOF in Banska Bystrica and confirm themselves as a valuable potential of Croatian sports for the future.

CROATIAN OLYMPIC COMMITTEE TODAY
Mate Pavić, Nikola Mektić, Ivan Dodig & Marin Čilić
The Croatian Olympic Committee, the highest sports body in Croatia, was founded in Zagreb on September 10 1991. The Executive Board of the International Olympic Committee granted the Croatian Olympic Committee provisional recognition on January 17 1992, thus including it in the Olympic family and making it possible for Croatian athletes to participate under the Croatian flag in the Olympic Winter Games in Albertville and in the Games of the Olympiad in Barcelona that very same year. Members of the National Olympic Sports Federations are national sports associations (44 of them Olympic and 42 National Non-Olympic Sports Federations), 20 county sports associations and the City of Zagreb and 10 associations and institutions of interest for Croatian sport and the activities of the Croatian Olympic Committee. The Croatian Olympic Committee is a full member of the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC), the European Olympic Committees (EOC), the International Committee of Mediterranean Games (ICMG) and the European NonGovernmental Sports Organizations (ENGSO). The Croatian Olympic Committee is the founder of the Croatian Olympians Club (1993), the Croatian Olympic Academy (1996), the Sports Arbitration Council and Sports Arbitration Tribunal (1999), and the co-founder of the European Fair Play Movement (1994), the Croatian Athletes Foundation (2006), the Croatian FairPlay Committee (2006), the Female Sports Coordinators Network (2006), Career Center for Athletes (2022) and a number of other organizations belonging to the Croatian and international Olympic movement.
