WINTER
2020/2021
Welcome to the winter issue of IBB at Home! Feel that cool air! It’s an exciting time of the year, and this year has proven to be the most thought-provoking at the very least. Now is the opportune time to visit IBB and bring home a new look to enjoy over the holidays or find a new sofa or bed to snuggle up on during those winter nights. The IBB showroom floor is open and ready for you to peruse our expanded store with more than 90,000-squarefeet of name-brand furnishings, home décor, and accessories. I am proud to announce that we have launched new design vision rooms in our warehouse. We constructed these rooms in order for our designers to bring your room ideas to life in a customized and staged vignette specially designed for you with your desired furnishings and accessories. This gives you the opportunity to work with your designer to see how your design will come together and experience it in person before we install it in your home. Of course, don’t forget that the furniture and accessories you see in our IBB at Home magazine are available through our store as well! While you are here, visit next door at Sunrise Blinds. They have launched new voice-activated window treatment control with Alexa, Siri, and Google, and you should see our new motorized features for house automation. As we navigate into the New Year, we want to express how thankful we are for the many essential workers who work tirelessly to take care of our community. IBB Design Fine Furnishings cares for the wellbeing of our clients, customers, #teamibb, partners, and vendors, and we will continue to do all that we can to make your shopping experience in our store a memorable and safe trip. Masks are required in our store, and we ask you to please be sure to practice safe social distancing while shopping with us. We are enthusiastic to be a part of your new chapter in 2021. As I’ve said before, if your home doesn’t make you feel happy, then reach out to one of our designers to refresh your space into your happy place. Now’s a great time to visit! I hope that you and your family have a safe and wonderful holiday season. We hope to see you soon!

Blush Pink Over the past few years, we’ve seen an increase in requests from clients to incorporate blush pink into their homes, and we’re here for it! A sophisticated hue, it can be used to create a soft feminine aesthetic or used as a neutral to balance bold, bright colors. A paneled room lacquered in a barely blush paint can be the starting point for a fresh and happy room. We love this shade of pink for bedrooms, home offices, powder baths, and more. The possibilities are endless! Check out a few of our favorite ways to use blush in your interiors. Benjamin Moore Cream Puff 2174-70

REPURPOSE YOUR SPACE
Adapting to your 'New Normal' BY HUNTINGTON REMODELING
BEFORE (an under-utilized formal dining room)
2020 has been an interesting year to say the least. Back in March, the COVID-19 pandemic ignited a complete paradigm shift that changed the world as we knew it. We quickly had to adapt to new ways of living, marked by social distancing, bulk-purchasing, and taking shelter in our homes amidst the wave of uncertainty. Since then, our homes have played an increasingly integral role in our daily lives. They have been working overtime for us— serving as our offices, classrooms, gyms, restaurants, spas, storage units, movie theaters, and beyond. With growing dependence on our homes to fulfill supplementary needs, it is more important than

ever that they provide us with the support we need to adapt to a changing world and to offer a peaceful escape from the chaos outside. After weeks of sheltering in place, many of us have had more time to reimagine the spaces we use on a daily basis and to pay more attention to the things that bother us. Studies show that the average person utilizes only 40% of their livable area at home, underscoring the post-pandemic uptick in home improvement efforts and growing emphasis on our relationships to our homes. As a result, many people have taken this time to reconsider their spaces to better accommodate their current needs. With the rise of remote work, for example, many homeowners have invested in home office additions or transformations of existing space to create more permanent WFH solutions that are separate from personal space. Physical separation is a key consideration for long-term workspaces, as it enables optimal productivity and focus as well as the privacy needed for virtual meetings— Looking at you, parents!
Consider the ways in which your home could better serve you during this season of uncertainty; then, work with the remodeler you can trust to develop a vision with your current needs and design preferences in mind. At Huntington Remodeling, we believe an investment today can improve your quality of life for years to come. As a full-service remodeler, we aim to solve problems first and foremost, and deliver high-quality results that appeal to both functionality and design. BAR CARTS
Think Outside the Bar! BY SHAY GEYER, IBB OWNER & DESIGNER shay@ibbdesign.com | @designershay on Instagram
It’s no secret that bar carts have been on trend for some time. Perfectly styled carts flood our social media feeds and have us yearning for a similar look in our homes. It’s definitely one of the most requested furniture additions among IBB clients. It’s common for our designers to hear, “…and if we can fit a bar cart in somewhere, I’d really love to have one!” With all of us spending more time at home but not necessarily entertaining as much, we thought we’d share a non-conventional approach to using a bar cart. Their mobility makes them a versatile and valuable piece of furniture.
20 IBB AT HOME
We love to use them in bathrooms. They can provide extra storage and a pretty way to display bath essentials. If you have the space, the bar cart can be placed on an empty wall in a bathroom and then rolled over to your tub when it’s time for a relaxing bath. You’ll find it quite the luxury to have everything within reach right by your tub. You can place a vase of fresh flowers (or a great permanent botanical), a bowl full of bath bombs, a decanter full of bath salts, or bubble bath and a fragrant candle or aromatic diffuser on the top shelf. Try rolling extra towels on the bottom shelf so they’re close by when you get out of the tub. Form and function at its finest!

Listening to the professionals and being open to suggestions can save you time and money in the end. Often, your contractors and designer come to you with fresh ideas and ones that you had not even thought of that can make your life easier. As a designer, I love being in homes of my clients and getting a true feel for how they really live in their space and what their needs are. This ensures we achieve the results they are looking for. At the onset of your project, it is key to make every decision you can upfront in order to avoid delays. Also, be sure to cover all of your bases, such as incorporating a good lighting plan. Be sure to view actual samples, especially paint, in your space. Furthermore, consider furniture placement, which also in turn can dictate outlet placement. After all, if you are remodeling, this is the time to do it while the trades are there.

Is your home showing its age? Is it time for a facelift? With home prices on the rise as a result of the housing shortage, there is no better time than now to consider remodeling your existing home! While a daunting task for many, hiring the right team to guide you can help ease the burden. Gathering a successful team of experienced professionals is key. Develop a realistic budget early on, and knowing there will be unforeseen items and changes during the course of the project, include a healthy contingency with this budget. Don’t forget to allot for new furniture items where needed, art, drapery, rugs, and window coverings.
22 IBB AT HOME
Now that you have the remodel underway, you will want to start fulfilling the feel-good items, as they are the icing on the cake. Whether you have new hardwoods, fresh paint, or a whole new kitchen, start working with your designer on furnishings, art, window coverings for privacy, and drapery to soften and bring the space to life. Be sure to lean on your interior designer for tips when selecting fabrics and finishes that will fit best into your lifestyle and accommodate the fur babies! You wouldn’t want to go to all this effort and then come back in with all of the tired pieces that won’t allow your newly renovated home to shine!

DESIGNER TIPS
DESIGN 101: Where to Start
Whether you are starting from scratch or giving your space a makeover, putting a room together can be overwhelming. There is a fine balance between making your room functional but also beautiful. Implementing these basic steps will ensure your room is livable and will maximize its potential.
• FURNITURE LAYOUT Get a feel of the space and the ma jor traffic flow. Do not push furniture up against the wall or create unnecessary angles that fight the shape of the room. Even if you have a small area, giving your furniture space to breathe will make the space look bigger. If you are unsure if something will work, use painters’ tape to mark off the area before you make your purchase.
meghan@ibbdesign.com @meghansebren on Instagram
• CONSIDER FUNCTION
• FOCAL POINT
If you are always using your laptop on the sofa, make accommodations for that. If the area looks pretty but doesn’t suit your daily needs, you will most likely end up with your computer and cords cluttering up the space. A storage ottoman, for example, will hide clutter and give some extra seating at the same time. Make a list of what the room needs to accomplish for you and then plan for it.
Whether it is the great view, the TV, or a great piece of art, arranging your furniture to face a focal point will make the room much more inviting. This focal point should be the first thing you see when you enter the room. Using lighting to enhance your focal point will take it up a notch.
• CLASSIC PIECES Avoid trendy pieces on items meant to last a long time. Quality furnishings that have timeless design can be easily updated with current colors and accessories that are easily swapped out.
• GETTING THE RUG RIGHT The right size rug is crucial to making the rest of the room look put together. Bigger rather than smaller is a good rule of thumb. You want the rug to be at least 6” wider than the sofa on each side, and the front legs of your sofa and chairs should be on the rug.

It's no secret that #teamIBB consists of many animal obsessed people. We joke that it is almost a requirement for our staff to have a furry companion. With a team full of animal lovers, our designers clearly have the upper hand when it comes to designing spaces that consider our clients' fur babies. After all, it's our pets that often spend the most time on our furnishings (allowed or not). For our winter issue, we wanted to take a deeper look at some posh pooches for a better insight into the lives of a designer dog. This is Portia Nicole and Paisley Grace's story.
26 IBB AT HOME
Portia is 8 years old, and her breed is a mystery. We think she is part Chihuahua and part whippet. Paisley is our senior at 14 and is a miniature dachshund. Both are rescues. Portia was adopted from the Dallas SPCA. We had lost our beagle Baxter to old age, and it was time for another dog. My wife, Carol, and our son, Spencer, and I entered the facility, and Portia was in a little corral all by herself. Carol and I walked the whole facility and realized Spencer hadn’t left Portia’s side, so she was the one! We first saw Paisley on the cover of pet adoption magazine; she was in a huge pink bow and was so cute! We had to drive to Anna, Texas, to see her. We then had an in-home visit to be sure we were a good fit for her, and it was a match! They both love to be on our bed or on the back of the sofa mashing down pillows as they go. I’d say my best advice to pet owners when considering a furniture purchase is to consider a performance fabric for ease of care when your fur babies take over your home. Also, when selecting upholstery, be sure to look for fabrics that are not too loosely woven, as pet claws can easily snag certain fabrics. Pick good materials, and they will last with even the most high-spirited pets!

Longing for a little warmth and coziness in your home? You are not alone! The design community is seeing a trend towards warmer colors and more neutrals surging back just in time for the cold weather season. Rather than paper whites, colors like soft creams and warm grey hues are surging, allowing for a mixture of more earth tones and saturated colors into your space. This holiday season bring a little warmth to your home with candles, thick knit throws in camels and creams, and some florals that add richer hues. Perhaps add a touch of luxurious greenery to spruce up your cocktail table or bookshelves. A touch of warmth is sure to make your house feel like home. For even more impact, consider adding some leather into a space, perhaps an ottoman or cozy chair. Leather not only adds warmth but also texture, and there are some beautiful cognac and butterscotch color options that are easy to incorporate into almost any home. Drapery can add a ton of texture and vibrant patterns to a space. If you are not one for bold color and pattern, a textured sheer or solid may be the right choice for you. Perhaps, even a great grasscloth added to the wall can add depth and dimension to your home. With a resurgence of warm gold tones, greens, soft oranges, and dare I say it, berry, you are bound to see a lot more earth tones gracing the pages of home magazines and Instagram alike. TAKE TWO
All of my clients know that I always encourage “livable luxury,” and while I want the space to look amazing when it’s finished, I want to make sure it is not only something that is practical for their lifestyle, but also something they can really grow with over time. When you invest in classic and timeless furnishings, it gives you an awesome base to play with as your style evolves over time. When you have a great foundation to build on, swapping out throw pillows, artwork, and a few primary accessories can give a space a whole new identity and a refreshed look. A blend of richer dark tones creates a moody and dramatic vibe, even when contrasted against a brighter color palette. Dependent upon the textiles you play with, this also tends to create more of a cozy and elegant environment. When playing with brighter tones, I tend to focus a lot more on the textures I’m playing with and bring much of my interest in that way. These spaces innately feel a lot more open and often more casual. When introducing color into a space, I also focus more so on color temperature than

What's Missing? 5 Ways To Complete Your Room BY KAREN HOLLOWAY, IBB DESIGNER karen@ibbdesign.com
Have you spent countless hours searching for just the “perfect” item to finish up your home décor only to get it in the intended spot and discover it still isn’t quite right? As an interior designer, I hear this comment far too frequently, so you aren’t alone. Here are some tips that might help you with the process of completing your décor.
1. Accessorizing is a the most difficult task for most. – Accessorizing can be so difficult and time consuming that it is the area most left undone in the home décor, thus creating the #1 cause for a space feeling incomplete. The most common design principles overlooked in the process of accessorizing are scale and proportion. Often, too many small items are used together and include nothing of particular importance or interest. Select an area to accessorize; start with one item that will be the statement piece and then pull other items that complement that one piece. Splurge on common areas, i.e. dining tables, cocktail tables, kitchen islands, powder vanities, with a grouping of unique items or one that is a star. IBB has the best assortment of accessories available for you to take on approval, and one of the designers is always willing to help with the selection.
2. If the space isn’t feeling cohesive to you, start back at the focal point. The TV is often the center of the focal point (fireplace) in the living area, and it can feel finished with placement of beautiful glassware or sculptural accessories used on the mantle or hearth. If there is not a
34 IBB AT HOME
focal point architecturally, then it’s important to create one. You can achieve this with an interesting piece of furniture (oh, and sofas aren’t generally interesting enough to do the job!) i.e. a beautiful bed, a chest, or a fabulous piece of art. Focus on something that will draw the eye and anchor the space. Complete the area around the focal point; then use this as a guide as you work on the remaining areas of the room. It will make the selections for the next areas less complicated.
3. The open living concept is quite common in homes today, and it has many benefits, but it can also be overwhelming to decorate. Get a plan for each area, and work the plan as the budget will allow. Trying to do a little in each area will not give you a feeling of accomplishment. Tackle each area at a time. Consulting with a professional designer can be helpful in creating a plan that will save you time and dollars in the long term.
4. Most people forget to address the ceiling and the area above the immediate eye-level, so the room feels unfinished. Look for areas to add a single or a pair of light sconces. The light adds drama and interest to the space and will force the eye to travel farther up into the space. There are some remarkably interesting chandeliers for high ceilings and ceiling mount light fixtures for the over 9-foot ceiling heights that will add a unique finishing touch. Draperies are another way of moving the eye up into a space, and nothing adds the finishing touch to any
room like the perfect textile. We have an almost unlimited selection at IBB with our own custom workroom to make your draperies and have your room complete in a few short weeks.
5. A common mistake I see in décor is furniture placement. Generally, there isn’t enough furniture for the amount of space, or the space hasn’t been utilized effectively. Keeping the traffic flow in mind, be sure to incorporate more than one area of function in a space whenever possible. This may be easier to accomplish in the living area or the master bedroom, but be creative in
all common areas and in the bedrooms. Guest bedrooms can often be small, but adding a desk and chair in the appropriate scale adds interest. A console instead of a heavy chest will open the space. Add a bench or stool with it for functional storage and seating. Consider creating a separate sitting area in a family room by position a pair of chairs with a larger, taller side table or with an ottoman behind a floating sofa or at the foot of the master bed. Come visit IBB, and let us help you with these and other finishing touches to your home! IBB AT HOME 35

Holiday
DECORATING TIPS BY WILL SMITH, IBB DESIGNER
will@ibbdesign.com | @willtsmith on Instagram
Winter has always been my favorite time of year. The air lightens, the temperature drops, and we get to don ourselves in seasonal attire (shout-out to all you sweater lovers out there!) The excitement of the holiday season is just around the corner. Since childhood, I have made it a point to take on all the holiday decorating myself. Painstakingly placing each ornament and length of ribbon in just the right place was my winter project, and I spent days on it. It wasn’t until I started doing this professionally that I realized the agony of hanging that one ornament on the perfect branch is a little less daunting than it seems, as long as you have a method. If you’re someone like me, who wants things to be just so, here are a few tips to make your tree decorating a little less stressful this season:
1. Fluff your artificial greenery! - Packing your artificial tree crushes the individual stems. Pour yourself a cup of hot cider (or a glass of wine), turn on your favorite holiday album, and take the time to adjust your branches so the tree looks full and happy. I touch every branch of the tree when I do this, and I suggest you wear a good pair of gloves to protect your hands!
2. Start with ribbon - Maybe it’s just me, but sometimes it’s hard to know where to begin. Don’t fret for too long, just…start. Divide the tree into thirds, and work from left to right. DO NOT be afraid to cut your ribbon. I promise it will help. I know that some ribbons are very expensive and the idea of cutting into the beautiful embroidery or embellishments feels like the end of the world. It isn’t. Varying lengths of 4-6ft work best on most trees. Weave those lengths in and out of the branches and use floral wire to attach.
3. Place your largest ornaments next - Before we discuss this step, here is a tip for you: Ditch the ornament hooks and buy yourself some floral wire to hang your ornaments. It will change your life. Now, working in sections again, set your largest ornaments in places that your eyes are drawn to. These will act as starting points to build and layer your other items. I set mine deep inside the tree to add depth and reflect light.
4. Fill in the holes - You’ve already established the form of your tree with ribbon and large ornaments; now it’s time to fill it in the holes. Working left to right, I start attaching like ornaments to the tree with floral wire, making sure each section gets at least one of the same ornament. (I purchase ornaments in sets of 6, 8, 12, and so on). Once each section has a like ornament attached, I then cluster them for higher impact. Setting the ornaments both inside and outside of the branches adds depth. Continue this process until you’re happy with how much color and coverage you see.
5. Finishing touches - No tree is complete without that one (or a few) extra special items that catch your eye. Try adding picks of artificial or real greenery to your tree in those spots where it looks a little blah. (I purchase these in sets of 8 or 12 depending on the size of the pick and the tree). Tie the greenery securely to the branch so that it hangs out a few inches further than the rest of the tree. Add an icicle or a pretty glass dangler to the end, and you’ve got yourself a beautiful wow factor! I hope these tips help you as you decorate your tree this year! With all the trials we’ve been through in 2020, I personally believe that taking the time to enjoy your holiday decorating is a great way to end the year. Spread some holiday magic around your home, bake some treats, and sit back to enjoy your hard work. You earned it!

MAKE YOUR VISION A
REALITY BY KAY LEWIS, IBB DESIGNER
kay@ibbdesign.com | @mkaylewis on Instagram
Interior design is an art as well as a science. It is your personal “art” to create the environment you desire, but it is also a science and takes skill to bring the style, color, and scale to reality. An interior designer is well versed in the science of ergonomics: how scale and proportions affect the room, as well as the human body. They will know how to match the scale and proportions of the space to its furniture and your comfort. This will help you avoid the mistakes of spending time and money on things that “just don’t work.” It is always disheartening when someone tells you that their room is not coming together as they had

envisioned. They have wrestled with their ideas and still feel the space is lacking when compared to their vision. Sometimes it is hard to know where to leap. This is the moment that it is best to consult and listen to your professional interior designer before moving in a potentially wrong and costly direction. They can help steer you toward picking the right pieces that not only speak to you, but also are beautiful in your room and serve the intended purpose. A talented designer will add an authenticity to your room that will make it a great design, while incorporating your personal touches and style. Together, you will bring your vision to life!

ELEVATE YOUR HOME
Have you ever looked at your room and asked yourself, “What does it need to make it feel pulled together?” Throw pillows! Throw pillows are a great addition to elevate your house to a warm home. CUSTOMIZE YOUR TILES
Patterned cement floor tiles can make a statement in any room, including bathrooms, kitchens, and laundry rooms. Installing these cement tiles can elevate a space with colors and patterns. INCORPORATE BIOPHILIC DESIGN
Biophilic design is used to increase the connectivity to nature in a space. Adding a house plant or a tree with natural lighting provides a visual connection with nature, which can reduce stress and improve concentration. Real or faux plants can also add a pop of color into a neutral space or add a contrast to your current color palette. Natural textures from a live wall can provide a positive impact in your home.

We transformed my client’s traditional home to a home exuding sophisticated elegance. A total remodel and addition was completed on their existing home taking it down to the studs giving us the opportunity to design from a blank slate. The clients selected IBB Design and me since we could elegantly furnish the home
from IBB Design Fine Furnishings where we are able to source pieces from all over the world. The entry was originally the formal living room, but my clients wanted more room to entertain so the architect created an open floorplan with all the rooms opening to the outdoor entertaining areas.
IBB AT HOME 43
44 IBB AT HOME
ENTRY The entry also gave my clients an area to display some of the larger pieces of their art collection. We kept the colors throughout the home very soft and neutral so the art would stand out.
IBB AT HOME 45
DINING ROOM We created multi-layered Venetian plaster walls for a timeless design. A more contemporary take on the crystal chandelier enhances the room.
46 IBB AT HOME
POWDER BATH To complement the bespoke hammered leaf patterned sink, we added a beaded wallpaper in a neutral hue. Crystal flower wall sconces are the perfect nod to the design and make quite a statement flanking the mirror.
IBB AT HOME 47
FORMAL LIVING ROOM The living room design was inspired by their large commissioned artwork. The show stopping piece is a definite focal point in the room. Accent colors were pulled from the artwork to disperse color throughout the space. Symmetry is created using pairs of the furnishings for balance in the centrally located living room.
48 IBB AT HOME
IBB AT HOME 49
FAMILY ROOM We took out the walls dividing the kitchen and the family room to give the client an open floorplan. Modern clean lines were used in the kitchen which complement the transitional furnishings in the family room. A cozy seating area was created for the family using luxury textiles and custom upholstery. Blue was selected as the focus of the color palette to play off of the artwork in the room.
50 IBB AT HOME
IBB AT HOME 51
KITCHEN My client loves to cook and has a beautiful fresh garden in their yard. The double islands give the client plenty of room to entertain and prepare meals.
52 IBB AT HOME
BREAKFAST NOOK A round breakfast table anchors the room. We added artisan-made, custom chairs with a handle on the back which made it easy to move without
touching the fabric. We selected a blue cut velvet fabric to tie in colors of the family room.
IBB AT HOME 53
GENTLEMAN'S STUDY The study spans two stories with an open ceiling to the second floor. More private spaces were created upstairs with an additional study. Furnishings in a rich palette, dark wood paneling and a custom fireplace and hearth speak to the masculine vibe of the design.
54 IBB AT HOME
BAR & WINE CELLAR The wine bar joins the formal entertaining spaces with the loggia and outside areas making it easy to open all of the doors to the outside for guests to move around the outdoor seating and the pool. Black marble lines the walls and the back of the wine cellar area. A metal chandelier of globe lights illuminates the bar.

GUEST SUITE Embroidered drapery fabric dress the windows and provide privacy for the guest suite. Paisley linen bedding adds style and comfort to the bed. This cozy retreat is perfect for the married children to come home to.

GAME ROOM The game room opens up to the theater room for fluid entertaining. Grasscloth wallpaper was utilized on the walls for added texture and depth. We added a geometric staggered bookshelf to display the decorative accessories and boxes. A large sectional leather seating area was created to provide a space to watch movies and sporting events. A pair of iron ottomans upholstered in white leather allows for additional seating for guests.

GUEST BEDROOM Silver leaf accents on the furniture give this guest bedroom an elegant feel. We designed the functional drapery with an embroidered fabric to complement the room and added mint green accents throughout for a softer appeal.

OUTDOOR LIVING Working with the landscape architect Harold Leidner, we were able to extend their living space to the outdoors. The client wanted a lap pool which worked well in the design since the backyard was so long. Harold Leidner's team of landscape architects, pool builders and fabrication specialists worked with IBB to enhance the client's outdoor living experience. There was room for several seating areas to accommodate people for entertaining or more intimate areas for the immediate family. We placed swivel chairs under
the covered pergola seating area for viewing around the vast outdoor living space. We heated the stone floor in the loggia area so they could use the area for entertaining in the cooler months. A circular fire pit and pool fireplace were added along with additional lighting around the pool and entertainment spaces to make the outdoor living space useable all day and night. Year-round greenery was brought in through the use of outdoor sustainable foliage.

ENTERTAINING
Winter Brunch Photography By Audrie Dollins
BY ALICIA WOOD, CREATIVE DIRECTOR, ALICIA WOOD LIFESTYLE aliciawoodlifestyle.com | alicia@aliciawoodlifestyle.com | @aliciawoodlifestyle on Instagram
Since we are all more focused at being at home these days, I wanted to share our favorite brunch menu. These family favorites are crowd pleasers, whether you serve them Christmas Morning, New Year’s Day, or just any lazy weekend morning. These days, most of our New Year’s entertaining is quite low-key, either a fun night at home with family and friends or a quiet New Year’s Day with a yummy brunch.
84 IBB AT HOME
For brunch, I love an easy buffet with our favorite waffles with fresh fruit and whipped cream and my apple arugula sausage strata with the addition of blackeyed peas for a prosperous New Year. Simple foods like Belgian waffles look even more scrumptious piled high on a pretty platter.
I always say that not everything has to be homemade as long as it is delicious. Add pastries and quiche from your favorite bakery or local café. Fun highlights to this winter brunch buffet are sweet mimosas and hot chocolate. Serving mimosas or orange juice in champagne flutes adds a special touch. I used the smaller glass for pure orange juice so younger family members can tell the difference! We love hot chocolate and fun toppings. My favorite Hot Chocolate is the Abuelita from Nestlé. They have a cinnamon kick we all love! My Peppermint White Hot Chocolate would be a great addition to this menu as well. You could even kick it up notch with my Hot Chocolate Bar featuring shaved chocolate, crushed peppermints, and other toppings.
We will be having this winter brunch to ring in the New Year. You can find all of these recipes and more on my website www.aliciawoodlifestyle.com. Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year! XO,
Alicia

Five TIPS TO ORGANIZE YOUR HOME OFFICE BY LYNDSEY MORGAN, NEAT METHOD FRISCO
lyndsey.morgan@neatmethod.com | neatmethod.com | @neatmethod on Instagram
As many of us are currently working from home, it is important to make sure our home offices are places we can stay healthy and focused. An organized workspace will help both productivity and quality of work. By putting these tips in place, you’ll be able to focus on the tasks at hand, knowing your space is well arranged and clutter-free. Here are five tips on how to keep your workspace in order.
86 IBB AT HOME
1. Clear off your desktop. Try to have as clear a desktop as possible. If your desk has limited drawer space, choose beautiful pieces to store items in on your desktop and source modular drawers for below your desk that align with its style.
2. Categorize your items. By sorting your items into categories and storing each category together, you’ll get a clear picture of how much of a given item you have. This will also help you know which categories could be edited down
Photos courtesy of NEAT Method
and either parted with or stored elsewhere as back stock.
3. Divide the space. By dividing up the interior of a drawer with individual dividers, you can customize the space for the items you use. Be sure to measure the interior of each drawer to make sure your chosen products will fit. Then arrange them in a way that will fit the space perfectly.
4. Choose neutral colors. For any organizational products you’re using to outfit your space, we recommend neutral colors, like white, black, grey, or clear. They’re easy on the eyes, reduce visual clutter, and blend in with any decor style.
5. Use labels. By labeling where items belong, you (or any of your “coworkers”) will be encouraged you to keep the space NEAT. Labels identify exactly where items should be returned.
