SUMMER LEADERSHIP CAMP by Ang

Are you looking forward to the ICMS Summer Leadership Camp, the first-ever ICMS family gathering this year? Apart from team-building activities and ice-breaking games, the Professional Career Development Hub will also conduct an interactive personal development plan workshop and personality test. In collaboration with the GST hub, participants will be paired up with the ones they are least likely to work well with and collaborate in roleplaying scenarios. The SLC aims to provide a platform for the Associates to reflect on one another’s strengths and weaknesses and train their negotiation skills in an imaginative workplace setting.
ADOBE ILLUSTRATOR WORKSHOP by Janet Jalet Tham Informative. Useful. Fun. The Adobe Illustrator Workshop was conducted by Rachel Loh (EOP EXCO) on Google Hangouts. It was a unique digital learning experience that combined real time presentation with live Q&A. I personally find the live Q&A session most helpful as I could learn so much more when others ask questions that I never thought of.

MAYBANK GO AHEAD CHALLENGE by Ong Sobri

The 9th and 10th of June marked the Maybank GO Ahead. Challenge (MGAC) Campus Level 2017 in which some of our Associates from the Singapore Chapter are among the lucky finalists at their respective universities. They are Ong Li Hui from Singapore Institute of Management, Low Yin Yi and Lim Jia Liang from Nanyang Technological University. Holistic in nature, the competition tested the participants’ physical as well as mental strengths. For instance, a short race that was both physically challenging and fun. It also included a session on a strategic board game. With this, one’s ability to perform in a competitive environment and how a team is able to work synergistically were put to test. Moving on, the rest of the day was filled with various case studies which revolved around a virtual world. Participating groups were assessed based on how well they responded to each challenge in their teams. Ong Li Hui opined that MGAC was really an eye-opener as she got to meet and work with people from different backgrounds. As a biomedical student, Low Yin Yi never thought that she would get herself involved in any economics or business-related challenge, but after giving it a try, she realised that anything is possible if you put your mind to it. Lim Jia Ling enjoyed every bit of it too, as he went home with quality insights on banking as well as newly formed connections with other outstanding participants. In a nutshell, MGAC was an exceptional experience to all.
