Lloyds TSB Data Centre Data Centres Sector Case Study Imtech Aqua Building Services were awarded this project to install the building services associated with the expansion of the Lloyds TSB in Peterborough Data Centre.

The scope of work involved the near demolition of three warehouse units to the rear of the existing building.The project centred round the main data hall which holds the computer infrastructure to manage Lloyds TSB day to day accounts information. The room temperature and humidity is critical to the efficient running of the associated equipment.

The ventilation system consisted of numerous AHU providing tempered fresh air, cooling is supplied through 20 no close control units with humidifiers to the public health system provided comfort cooling to the staff running the building.

New Computer Facility, Danegeld House Data Centres Sector Case Study Imtech Aqua Building Services were appointed by HG Construction tocomplete the mechanical and electrical services installation to an agreed 12 week installation programme.

Telecity, Stockholm, Sweden Data Centres Sector Case Study TeleCity, Stockholm is a 62,000ft² computer hall development all on one level, separated into 8 zones, with 4,000ft² of mezzanine offices above the plant room area. Ancillary plant rooms exist on the floor and roof area.

TeleCity, required a resiliently serviced environment very quickly to meet their sales commitments resulting in a very tight programme (Phase 1 - 19 weeks in total) with a minimal lead-in two weeks.

The clients requirements of a highly relilient facility have been achieved by installing N+1 reduncy services. The UPS power has wrap around N+1 reduncy facility to ensure power cannot be disrupted under any circumstance. This facility also allows future modifications to be carried out without power disruption. Each zone has an independent UPS Power distribution board fed from two synchronized electrical sources. Supplies are then taken to fed the Server/Internet computer racks.

With this in mind Imtech Technical Services Ltd. were one of the first UK building services contractors to gain accreditation to the environment standard of ISO 14001: 1996.

Early involvement at feasibility stage allows a greater opportunity to design a sustainable solution. Our aim is to embrace 'Green' technology where possible in order to contribute to the long term protection of our environment.

Corporate Social Responsibility Imtech is increasingly involved in the implementation of environmentally sound and sustainable technical solutions:
