The following work has been declared winners of Theme II – “Spatial Area planning of low lying area with high flood risk” competition under ACCCRN (Asian Cities Climate Change Resilience Network) Program. Based on the competition purpose of seeking innovative ideas for providing disaster prone resilient design/ planning for Surat city, the firm formulated a strategy through the concepts of ‘landscape infrastructure’ and ‘land value economics” to inform a new model of Town Planning Scheme as well as derive malleable urban relations within the given ‘natural and industrial risk’ parameters of the site. The proposal was evaluated as the winner among 6 other national teams in the second stage by the Surat Municipal Committee headed by Ms.Aparna S. (Surat Municipal Commisioner) along with invited juries that comprised of Mr.Sen Kapadia, Mr. Utpal Sharma and Mr. D.G Pandya.
