Because every picture has a story to tell
IT was New Year’s Eve 2020, a mere three months before the dreaded Covid-19 pandemic – and I had to go for my annual mammogram. I took myself to Jackpersad & Partners Inc at Busamed Hillcrest Private Hospital where I had done my previous mammogram, a year before.
The year before I had a lump, which was diagnosed as “fatty tissue” and there was no concerns at the time. Within a year, the lump had increased in size and was physically visible. When I entered Jackpersad & Partners Inc, I was met with friendly and patient staff at the front desk and this immediately made me feel comfortable. I was helped to a change room and then taken through for my mammogram. The lady was so thorough and requested that I have an ultrasound of the lump.
There I met Geraldine, the “ultrasound lady”, and the most compassionate and friendly person you could wish to be with in this situation. After much deliberation, she had said that the doctor was not 100% happy and they thought it best to do a biopsy, which I requested be done straight away.
They were so accommodating. The doctor and Geraldine were kind, gentle and she even held my hand through the biopsy. I got the results a few days later and they had found cancer. The most incredible part of this story is that they had insisted on a deep needle to check the very back of the breast tissue to ensure their test results were conclusive. Needless to say, that was where they found the cancer. If they had not been so conscientious and thorough in their examination, they would’ve been sure to have missed the cancer.
I owe them my life and have since seen Geraldine again for follow-up scans, shared hugs and a few happy tears. Following a double mastectomy, aggressive chemo and radiation, I am glad to report that I am clear of cancer and officially a cancer warrior.
Tracy Hardouin, a cancer warriorFROM receiving the news of having cancer to five years in remission, Jackpersad & Partners Inc has walked me through my cancer journey – and the experience was nothing short of feeling like a celebrity. Their understanding and compassion have been immeasurable.
Congratulations on your 25th anniversary!
Denise Williams, cancer patientI HAVE been with Jackpersad & Partners for many years now and during this time, I have always been made welcome – from the minute I walk into their offices until I leave.

SOME women avoid regular breast screenings due to the anxiety caused by past experiences of pain and discomfort. For women who understand the importance of early detection, regular mammogram screenings should be an easy decision.
Jackpersad & Partners Inc has added an advanced new GE Healthcare imaging technology that helps reshape the mammography experience. The Senographe Pristina is designed specifically to reduce the discomfort and anxiety usually associated with standard mammograms, and sets the bar for diagnostic confidence and performance.

Tracy Hardouin during cancer treatment. Tracy Hardouin after cancer treatment.WE at Jackpersad & Partners Inc (JPI) are proud to be celebrating our silver jubilee this year. This celebration not only marks a milestone for our practice, but also affirms the power of teamwork and our commitment to patient care.
These past two years have not been easy. Both globally and as a practice, we had to face the Covid-19 pandemic, KZN unrest and devastating floods that ravaged our province. However, through these dark and testing times, the strength and resolve of our team shone through. I watched in awe as our doctors, management and staff pulled together and never gave up the fight.
This accomplishment of 25 years of service excellence is dedicated to all our JPI doctors and staff, both past and present, for their selflessness, loyalty and commitment. We have faced many challenges and emerged triumphant.
While this 25-year period marked the birth of our merged radiology practice, during this time there were also significant medical and technological advances. Our practice has successfully adapted to this dynamic environment by consistently upgrading and keeping abreast of the changing trends and technologies.
Some highlights of our advancements are attributed to our reliable and stable IT infrastructure, which is the backbone of any successful radiology practice. We have therefore invested considerable resources towards keeping abreast of the latest digital trends in imaging with advanced post-processing capabilities. With artificial intelligence being the latest buzzword in the technology industry, our radiology practice has embraced this facet of technology and we have ensured that all our new upgrades include this technological innovation.
Our 3T MR unit and an upgrade to one of our 1.5T MR units boast cuttingedge developments in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). This system consists of the latest software technology that allows for the use of the revolutionary AIR Recon DL, which not only shortens scanning times but also improves image quality using artificial intelligence. This improves the patient experience and ensures confident diagnostic reporting.
These units specialise in cardiac MR, which is a rapidly growing offering in MR, and allows for full cardiac investigations without any radiation and exposure to the patient. The unit also offers advanced prostrate and musculoskeletal (MSK) services with advanced post-processing techniques.
We are also proud to house state-ofthe-art mammography equipment, such as tomosynthesis and 3D mammography that caters to our patients’ needs for comfort,
efficiency, high-end image quality and diagnostic accuracy. Included in this is contrast enhanced mammography with CAD capabilities.
The value of nuclear and molecular imaging has shown tremendous growth and development in recent times, and to this end our practice has significantly invested in the latest PET CT and SPECT CT technology.
All of these achievements would be of no value without our greatest asset – our people.
We are grateful for their unwavering dedication, loyalty and commitment. We greatly value the relationships with our suppliers and the long-standing support of our referring doctors, their support staff and associated hospitals. We salute and acknowledge the rich legacy and the efforts of our predecessors for building a solid foundation on which the practice continues to grow from strength to strength.
Dr I Hansrod Chairman at Jackpersad & Partners IncJACKPERSAD & Partners Inc (JPI) boasts 19 operating branches and is one of the largest independent private radiology companies in KZN. The practice is 100% black-owned and has a staff complement of 380, with almost 75% being women.
JPI has earned an unrivalled reputation for outstanding patient care and is equipped with advanced imaging radiology technology, supported by hi-tech IT infrastructure.
“My introduction to Jackpersad & Partners Inc happened in my second year of articles at PKF. As per routine with audits, there are certain questionnaires that are required to be completed by those entrusted with governance; it was here that I was introduced to Dr BK Kassim, the then-finance director and now retired partner. This meeting turned out to be my first interview with the practice. Fresh out of articles and as a newly qualified chartered accountant, I joined the practice and was immediately handed the reins of financial manager.
“With much hand-holding from senior doctors, staff and engineers from GE and Axim, I was enabled to enhance my understanding of radiology and the specialised nature of the equipment. Fast-forward a couple a years, I was promoted to practice manager and can now even challenge engineers.
“My role in the practice spans from maintaining relationships with
financiers, suppliers, auditors, directors and stakeholders. I am a member of various committees such as social and ethics, training, employment equity, audit committee and exco, while running my household together with my husband and being a mother to four kids under seven.”
“The recent Covid-19 pandemic, civil unrest and KZN floods negatively impacted the practice financially, as it did many businesses in South Africa. However, our doctors took the bold view to retain all staff, not enforce retrenchment and to personally suffer the financial loss. The future is not without challenges with NHI and corporatisation on the horizon; however, we are hopeful that we will bring you the best medical care through strategic partnerships.”
Amina Kadwa Practice manager at Jackpersad & Partners IncWe wish them many more years of continued success.

IN 1989, eight years before Jackpersad & Partners Inc was officially formed, Premilla Gurannah’s journey with the company had already started. She admits that in the beginning, she felt afraid of the new opportunity that had presented itself – however, she eventually decided to take the bull by the horns and joined the practice.
“Despite my initial fears, I have never regretted my decision. Being a part of this practice has been an incredible journey for me and I have had the absolute pleasure of working with some of the most incredible staff and directors, who have left an indelible imprint on my life.
“After all these years, I can truly say that the company has become part of who I am. I have always believed that every patient who enters our doors could be a family member, and therefore I always strive to treat our patients with the utmost care, empathy and respect.
“I have enjoyed the last 33 years of being a medical secretary at JPI. I have grown from being an unmarried woman to getting married, becoming a mother of two children and now a grandmother – all within my time at the practice.
“I would like to take this great
opportunity to thank the entire JPI family for their continued love and support, and I wish our company continued growth and progress.
“In the words of Teresa Collins: ‘A successful business requires one simple thing, passion’.”

MEERA Naidoo’s journey at Jackpersad & Partners Inc started in August 2004, when she was challenged to prove that having a nurse in a radiology practice was essential.
“I worked hard and diligently, and was truly appreciated. It was both exciting and humbling to be recognised for my contributions as a nurse, which led to a position for a nurse being finally introduced. I was the first nurse to be employed at the company and certainly
not the last. The company grew from strength to strength.
“Interventional procedures were introduced to our Westridge Medical Centre radiology department, and I was given the opportunity to learn and thrive in this new milestone of the company.
“I have shared beautiful memories with my colleagues and have worked with many patients. I’ve realised that patients may forget your name, but they will never forget how you made them feel.
“I truly appreciate all the support that my Jackpersad & Partners inc family has provided throughout the years – and they have added extra miles to my journey.
“Today, Jackpersad & Partners Inc employs 21 nurses across the practice. I am forever grateful to JPI for the past 18 years and it has been an absolute pleasure to be a part of the practice.
“Happy 25th anniversary Jackpersad & Partners Inc! May we see many more.”
Meera Naidoo Nurse at Jackpersad & Partners IncHEAD clinical tutor at Jackpersad & Partners Inc, Yashodha Rajendra says her role at the practice enables her to interact with her students’ unique perceptions of life and fresh ideas.
“Every person holds equal importance and deserves to be mentioned. However, if that was possible, I would need the entire newspaper to write my story. I started my journey as a radiographer at City Hospital, and thereafter grew into the role of a venue manager. Owing to my passion for teaching, I am now a clinical tutor to some of the smartest and most energetic students that Durban University of Technology (DUT) has produced.
“The students we mentor have largely been protected by a schooling environment that has sheltered and spoon-fed them. However, university places them in an unfamiliar setting where they now have to become adults and deal with lecturers who do not spoon-feed and where drugs and alcohol are the norm.
“Being part of the clinical environment, they are exposed to people of different personalities
with some kind and caring, while others are rude and obnoxious. Therefore, it is my role to assist these students with adjusting to this daunting environment by understanding their cultural backgrounds and academic and social needs.
“The majority of students come from different social backgrounds. Some have never seen a computer or have only spoken in isiZulu, while some were given cellphones at an early age or sent to affluent schools.
“This difference in social standing makes it difficult for students to adapt and work together. Hence, it is my role to encourage students to accept each other and to allow each one to develop their own personality and become confident, regardless of their backgrounds. I enjoy this role as it allows me to interact with their unique perceptions of life and their fresh ideas. I am their tutor, mentor and sometimes mother.”

BEATRICE Majola started working at Jackpersad & Partners Inc in September 1989, and has been based at Durban Medical Centre, City Hospital, Maxwell Centre and Durdoc Hospital over the years.
“Initially I was employed as a general assistant, and thereafter I worked as a darkroom attendant responsible for developing X-ray films and mixing chemicals used in the darkroom.
As a general assistant, I was responsible for cleaning the department and preparing tea and meals for the doctors. I used to also assist with porter services that involved transporting patients to and from wards to mobile X-ray and ultrasound units. I also delivered X-rays and reports to the doctors rooms and wards.
“When there used to be typists in the departments, I would assist
with the discharging of reports.
I was responsible for banking cheques for the company and posting mails. With advancements in technology that saw analogue films transition to cassette readers, there was no longer a need for darkrooms and my role within the company had to evolve.
My new role is to assist radiographers with the digital process and patient care.
“I am now working as an ultrasound assistant responsible for preparing the room before and after the scan. I also work as a chaperone during the scan. I’m also responsible for the department’s daily laundry.”

FATHIMA Farouk began her career as a radiographic student at Jackpersad & Partners Inc in December 1998. She served two months as a first-year student at the Life Mount Edgecombe Hospital radiology department, which was then known as Phoenix Private Hospital.
“The staff and radiologists were keen on teaching and guiding me during this period. I will always remember the mentorship I received from Jessi Naidoo, Estelle van der Wath and Luxmi Pema – a team of dynamic diagnostic radiographers.”
Farouk credits the cheerful and warm environment of the radiology departments as inspiration to accept the post as a qualified radiographer, with the staff becoming family.
“The strength and support I received from this family was beyond my imagination.
“Since joining the practice, I have climbed the corporate ladder from radiographer to venue manager, to now being regional operations manager for Durban and Durban North. I have served 20 years in the practice and it has been filled with some of the most memorable experiences of my life.
“I have somehow felt that during my tenure as a venue manager, I was being moulded by the radiographic manager at the time, who was a dedicated employee and a friend in times of adversity. I successfully applied for the position of regional operations manager and was welcomed by the practice manager, Amina Kadwa and her cordial team. She steered me through turbulent waters during my initial projects.
“I must give sincere thanks to each and every director of JPI, as well as associates with whom I have worked. The confidence and trust they have in me to be a custodian of the radiology departments I manage is highly gratifying. I have yet to see employers who are so accommodating and generous. I cannot mention each director, as all of them hold a special place in my heart. The staff members of JPI across our extraordinary practice are incredible people with phenomenal qualities, and I thank God for the opportunity to be working for JPI.”

MARK Pillay started working at Jackpersad & Partners Inc in 2003. At the time, patients were transported via ambulance. His employment at the company changed that – and patients are now transported from hospitals to radiology departments within Durban.
Earlier this year, Freedom Ngcobo stepped into his new role of patient liaison officer.
“We had one delivery bakkie with the registration XRAYZN and two Toyota corollas with the registrations 2XRAYZN and 4XRAYZN, with the latter driven by me. The play on words on the registration plates was quite clever and well recognised wherever we went.
“From these humble beginnings, we now have a fleet of 13 vehicles moving stock and transporting patients in and around KZN.
“Credit must be given to Dr Hurribunce for managing this fleet and always being there 24/7 when required. Personally, I would like to thank the company for all it has done for my family. We are eternally grateful for its existence.
“A special thank you to the founding partners who took a stand during the apartheid era and
formed the initial partnership. Today, we are the biggest private radiology group in KZN and I am beyond proud to be part of this 25-year success story.”
Mark Pillay Driver at Jackpersad & Partners IncFREEDOM Ngcobo started working at Jackpersad & Partners Inc in 2012, at the age of 21. From starting as a porter to now being the patient liaison officer, Ngcobo credits his success to director and radiologist, Dr IG Moodley, who he believes saw his potential and gave him the opportunity to join the company as a porter.
“I grabbed the opportunity with both hands and never took the role of being a porter for granted. I have a passion for helping people, and I always continue to excel in taking care of our patients with the utmost love and compassion they deserve.
“Earlier this year, a new role for patient liaison officer (PLO) was advertised. I decided to apply – and was the successful applicant. Today, I am proud to say that from a porter, I am now a PLO living my dream of serving our patients and flying the Jackpersad & Partners Inc flag high.
“I will forever be grateful to Dr Moodley and Jackpersad & Partners Inc for providing me with the tools and support to grow and develop myself, and therefore achieve my goals. It is more than a company to me; they are my family who have built me up to be the man I am today.
“I thank God daily for the opportunity that was given to me 10 years ago to be a part of such a special team, and I am so proud to be celebrating our 25th anniversary together.”

Freedom Ngcobo when he worked as a porter at Jackpersad & Partners Inc.NOSIPHO Gumede joined Jackpersad & Partners Inc in 2014 as a project administrator at Medicentre, where she assisted the project manager with administrative tasks. Her tasks included compiling the asset register and collecting information about each asset at each venue.
“A radiology department, by its nature, is highly capital intensive. I scheduled quality assurance and preventative maintenance services for all our radiology equipment, and ensured that all necessary parts required were ordered and delivered on time for the service. This led to business continuity at all our branches.
“Our department relocated in 2016 to Durban Medical Centre and I worked as a manager’s assistant to the projects, marketing and radiographic managers. This is where I gained a tremendous amount of admin experience, as well as time and priority management, supporting three different portfolio managers at the same time.
“Shortly after, I resigned from the practice, but rejoined the company in 2019.
“I rejoined the practice as an HR assistant on a fixed-term contract for three months. I was given the opportunity to join on a permanent basis as a HR administrator and the practice funded a three-month online course to support my admin skills in HR.
“I assisted the HR manager and staff members with admin work for their company benefit activations as well as checked the billing for the practice, adding inputs for payroll, and completing UIF/Department of Employment and Labour documents required by staff.
“In 2022, I was promoted to my current role of payroll officer.”
Nosipho Gumede Payroll officer at Jackpersad & Partners IncLINDA Ndlela became an employee of Jackpersad & Partners Inc in 2015, at the age of 20, and was the youngest porter at its radiology department in JMH City Hospital.
“I worked as a porter for five years and nine months, and always carried a strong slogan with me: ‘I am the best that the company has ever produced’. This slogan served as my motivation, because my dream was to become one of their best employees.
“My passion for helping people and my polite and friendly demeanour were soon noticed by the company.”
After having discussions about goals and aspirations with the venue manager at the time, Ndlela shared his immense love for the field of marketing. The company later opened bursary offerings to staff in line with its employment equity goals, and Ndlela applied – not expecting much.
“I was overwhelmed when I was selected to further my studies in marketing through Mancosa – and in October last year, I joined the public relations and marketing department as a marketing and PR assistant to help me gain muchneeded work experience in my field of study.
“I was overjoyed and relished the moment when I walked into my new job role.
“I recently completed my higher certificate in marketing and attained three distinctions. It was one of the proudest moments in my life – and I owe it all to Jackpersad & Partners Inc. I am so honoured to say that I will be graduating in October this year and want to thank JPI for believing in me.
“Being at Jackpersad & Partners Inc for just over seven years has been the greatest experience for me. I want to convey my heartfelt gratitude for what the company has done for me and for giving me an opportunity to fulfil my dreams and develop my professional career.
“Thank you JPI and happy 25th anniversary!”

THE partnership between Jackpersad & Partners Inc and Axim began prior to the merger of the practices.
Axim supplied equipment to both individual founding radiology practices. Radiology equipment in the early days included dark room technology. X-rays were taken using cassettes that housed film, which were then processed in a dark room using chemicals (fixer and developer) to produce images on film.
This was a highly specialised process that incorporated mixing chemicals and ensuring the correct temperature of
the processor. Thereafter, the practices embraced the technological changes of the time and were early adopters of the then new cassette reader technology. The practice is now fully digital.
Axim has supplied equipment to JPI throughout the practice’s technological evolution. Axim’s business has also grown and the company now supplies equipment, film, contrast media, as well as radio-pharmaceuticals and other medical requisites.
“Congratulations to Jackpersad & Partners Inc on your 25th anniversary – long may the partnership continue.”

ANDREA Francis is a nuclear medicine radiographer at Jackpersad & Partners Inc, and works in the practice’s branch at Mediclinic Pietermaritzburg Hospital. It had always been her dream to work in the medical profession and she was ecstatic when she got accepted to study radiography.
“I chose to study nuclear medicine because I felt that this type of work suited my personality. While many view the medical field as an opportunity to make money, it is often the barrier between life and death, which is such a huge responsibility in itself. However, for me, it was about the patients.
“Most of the patients I interact with are from the oncology department. When dealing with patients who are newly diagnosed, they are often both emotionally and physically fragile and come to receive a scan to determine the extent of the disease so that treatment may begin. Being the one to stand between the patient who had received bad news and could potentially receive further bad news requires empathy and compassion.
“Nuclear medicine is much slower paced than diagnostics, and often brings a number of patients who require repeat scans to determine if treatments are working or if treatments need to be changed.
“In my second year of studying, I received a bursary from Jackpersad & Partners Inc which initiated my journey with the company. I worked in two state hospitals before officially joining JPI in 2009, and have been a radiographer at JPI in Mediclinic Pietermaritzburg Hospital for 13 years. I have developed great relationships with our referring doctors, my patients and the amazing support staff, who ensure that everything operates smoothly and efficiently.
“I consider myself fortunate to be a part of the JPI family and glad that our values have always aligned, especially when it comes to patient care and service. For me, being a radiographer is not a job but a vocation, and I am extremely passionate about what I do and the patients I serve.”
Andrea Francis Nuclear medicine radiographer at Jackpersad & Partners IncNUCLEAR medicine is a specialised and non-invasive branch of radiology that uses tiny amounts of safe radioactive pharmaceuticals to image different body systems on a molecular level. This is advantageous as it allows doctors to diagnose diseases in the early stages, evaluate and monitor response to treatment, and target treatment to specific cells.
These scans can tell doctors whether tumours are cancerous
or non-cancerous, and often identify abnormalities early in the progression of a disease – long before symptoms become apparent. This early detection allows for a better outcome and can also mitigate against risky surgeries.
Images are acquired using a SPECT CT camera, which is a dual modality machine that has an extreme sensitivity to abnormalities in an organ’s structure and function in one scan.
VANESSA Ankiah’s journey with Jackpersad & Partners Inc has been an epic and evolving one that began in 1998.
“I resigned from the role of a medical secretary to pursue a career in radiographer.
“I was given the opportunity by the late Dr V Moodley to train at various JPI venues as their first student. The training I received was professional, well-structured and entailed conscientious efforts to exceed ordinary expectations. I am incredibly grateful for the support and motivation from the senior radiologists and clinical tutors.
“Through dedication and perseverance, I completed my B-tech that was funded by the company. “I have been working at the practice for 18 years and am currently the venue manager at Victoria Hospital.
“I would like to take this opportunity to wish Jackpersad & Partners Inc all the best with its future endeavours. Your guidance and support has been invaluable to me and other students.”

MEDSCAPE specialises in providing healthcare practices with billing and practice management software solutions, and has been part of the Jackpersad & Partners Inc family for almost 14 years.
Ryan Crump, Medscape’s managing director, said he is now part of the furniture at Jackpersad & Partners Inc, as the relationship between the two companies dates back more than a decade.
“In the beginning, we had many challenges (and grey hairs) migrating JPI’s organisation from a DOS-based system to a web-based billing system. Today, with our expertise, the billing system has evolved into a ‘digital ecosystem’ of innovative features such as digital patient intakes, interactive rating features and real-time reporting analytics. JPI is truly at the forefront of the latest technologies and has indirectly uplifted so many people’s lives.
THABISILE Khanyile started her journey with Jackpersad & Partners Inc in 2016, when she was given an opportunity to do in-service training as a TVET student in order to qualify for her diploma.
“Initially I worked as a management assistant in the radiographic department. In August 2017, I completed my training and successfully applied for the position of main switchboard operator at the company. I worked at switchboard until December 2020 and in January 2021, I was the successful applicant for a new post as customer relationship management (CRM) administrator.
“I have been with the company for six years. During this time, the company has provided me with many opportunities to learn and has helped me grow professionally. I value working for Jackpersad & Partners Inc as it is led by visionary leaders in the form of our directors and managers, who are able to motivate and show their staff the right path to professional growth.
“The company has shown support in the personal interests of its staff in many ways and I was fortunate to meet staff members who were willing to mentor me, as I had no prior experience in the radiographic industry. I now find myself doing the same for new employees who join our JPI team.
“I am thankful to have been introduced to Jackpersad & Partners Inc, and wish to continue my growth and share my skills with the company.”
“On a personal level, I have been inspired by so many JPI staff members who are knowledgeable and reliable. A special mention must be made of Sharon Saha, the debtors manager, who has been consistently supportive all these years. We look forward to
many more delicious home-cooked lunchtime meals when visiting Sharon’s office.
“We truly appreciate the opportunities and growth that Jackpersad & Partners Inc has provided us with over the years, and
look forward to many more years of collaboration.
“Happy birthday Jackpersad & Partners Inc.”
Ryan Crump Medscape managing directorTHE relationship between GE Healthcare and Jackpersad & Partners Inc strengthened in 2008 when Lenmed Ethekwini Hospital & Heart Centre was launched.
Much hype existed at the time, complemented by billboard advertising along the N2 Freeway in KZN.

KAILEN Chetty began his journey with Jackpersad & Partners Inc in January 2021 as a young radiographer appointed to the Lenmed Shifa Private Hospital radiology department.
His time there, although brief, was essential in helping him adjust to the company’s environment, protocols and workflow.
“I realised the standard of work expected of me and worked hard to ensure that I met those expectations. The radiology department at Shifa was so pleasant and willing to help me understand more about the company and its expectations.
In May 2021, Chetty took his foundational knowledge to Life Chatsmed Garden Hospital’s radiology department. The move was for logistical purposes, as he lived closer to this radiology department and was able to gain experience working with an MRI scanner.
“Shifa gave me the grounding I needed to adjust to working in the company. At Chatsmed Hospital, I was able to refine my skills, expand my knowledge and grow even more as a radiographer. The staff members at Shifa Hospital were essential in ensuring that I succeed in the company, while at Chatsmed Hospital, the staff helped ensure that I push through my limitations and better myself in every way possible.”
In April 2022, Chetty took on a new role and joined the IT department as the new picture archiving and communications systems (PACS) administrator – a role which had intrigued him as a student.
“I would always be more drawn to the science and technical aspects of radiography. The ways in which systems could be put together, how X-rays were generated and how images were stored. These were aspects of radiography that interested me as a student and what drew me to the PACS administrator role.
“Along this incredible journey with Jackpersad & Partners Inc, I have not just grown as a radiographer but also as a person. I have met and worked alongside some of the most incredible people who would go out of their way to assist you and who wouldn’t hesitate to teach you new skills, ensuring that everyone is able to develop together.
“If you told me in January 2021 that in just 16 months I would go from a radiographer to a PACS administrator, I would have called you crazy. Nonetheless, here I am; continuing to learn, grow and develop.
“I am grateful to Jackpersad & Partners Inc for the opportunities they have given
me. Since my first day, I have always been encouraged to better myself in any way I can and the company has stood by me. To my managers and colleagues, both past and present, I thank you for your support and guidance on this journey. I am proud to be part of such a company and I hope that I can contribute to the continued growth and progression of JPI for as long as I am able to.”
Kailen Chetty PACS administrator at Jackpersad & Partners IncTHAMI Dlamini’s journey with Jackpersad & Partners Inc began in 2016 when he completed his N6 theory and successfully applied to do 18 months of in-service training with the company.
“I was based at Durban Medical Centre and worked as a marketing student under the marketing manager at the time. During this time I was introduced to the company, its culture and what was expected of me.
“My experience with the company, staff and management has been great since the start. I worked with my manager and learnt so much from everyone.
“My manager offered me the platform to work with other departments to expand my knowledge, provided my marketing work was up-to-date. My manager noticed that I enjoyed working in the IT department and gave me the opportunity to train in IT as well. I was welcomed by the IT manager and the staff members were lovely,
which made my training very pleasant.
“I really appreciate that I was able to work in the IT department and since working with computers is my passion, JPI offered me the opportunity to get one step closer to my dream.
“My transition from marketing to IT was smooth, as the staff members were willing to train and teach me. I must extend my heartfelt gratitude to Jackpersad & Partners Inc because I was able to learn and develop both professionally and personally. I have also enrolled to complete my computer science degree, in order to continue with my growth.
“I thank JPI for allowing me to build a foundation so that I can grow my knowledge and better myself. I am because you are. Happy 25th anniversary.”
