Esmeralda is a sophomore at IUPUI majoring in Marketing & International Studies. Seeing a need for Latino students to receive social support, she has strived to be involved in her community. Her involvement on campus allows her to provide such support to students of diverse backgrounds. Her dedication to initiatives have moved her to be involved in celebrations such as the César Chávez Celebration Dinner to celebrate aspiring Latino leaders among IUPUI’s staff and students. Being involved in the Pathways to Careers program gives her more opportunities to provide support for students like herself who need help with access to higher education and workforce development.
