Estefania Cortes Martinez

Estefania is a freshman IUPUI student with a focus on college preparation. Her experience as a first-generation Latina going through the college application process motivated her to pursue this degree. Struggling to find resources for herself and her community, Estefania saw a need for Latinos to have easier access to higher education. Upon graduation, she wishes to pursue a career where she will assist Latinos with these needs and bridge the gap to accessing resources. Her experience with the program is helping her develop her skills as an advocate for Latinos seeking higher education and has offered opportunities for her to continue to be a voice for the Latino community.
