Agapita Zaragoza
As a freshman student at IUPUI, Agapita is working towards attaining her degree in Health Sciences. Through her professional endeavors, she has been able to continue the development of her interpersonal and communication skills which will allow her to implement those in her future profession as a health professional. Like many Latino youth, she is a firstgeneration college student with the responsibility of completing important tasks like the FAFSA by herself. Due to this, she has grown a passion for social justice and activism, focusing on eliminating college access barriers. The Pathways to Careers program has provided a platform for her to use her voice and uplift the voices of others in seek of a change for access to higher education.

Sergio Castillo is a freshman at IUPUI in hopes of attaining a degree in Cybersecurity to work in the field upon graduating. His biggest motivation to move forward with his undergraduate career is his parents. As the first to attend a university, he wants to be successful to give back to them for the all the support they have given him on his journey. Through his perseverance and the support of Pathways to Careers, he has sought networking opportunities and mentorship for him to grow in his personal and professional endeavors. He has strengthened his skills through his support systems, hoping to lead others following the same path.
