CHECKS AND MAINTENANCE BEFORE AND AFTER USE

Onde evitare spiacevoli inconvenienti durante il funzionamento del veicolo è consigliabile effettuare, sia prima che dopo l'utilizzo, alcune operazioni di controllo e manutenzione . Infatti pochi minuti dedicati a queste operazioni, oltre a rendere la guida più sicura, possono farvi risparmiare tempo e denaro.

Quindi procedere come segue:

In order to avoid problems connected to the operation of the vehicle, it is advisable to perform a number of checks and maintenance operations before and after use. Just a few minutes given to these procedures will save you time and money, and will make riding much safer.

Proceed as follows:

• Verificare la pressione, lo stato generale e lo spessore del battistrada.

• Check pressure, general condition and thickness of tread.

• Nei giorni freddi è consigliabile prima della partenza, fare scaldare il motore facendolo funzionare al minimo per alcuni istanti.

• On cold days, warm up the engine by running it at idle speed for a few minutes before starting off.

• Ogni volta che il veicolo viene utilizzato in fuoristrada occorre lavarlo accuratamente.

• Wash the vehicle carefully after every off-road use.

BREAKING IN

Il rodaggio ha una durata di circa 25 ore di utilizzo, durante questo periodo si consiglia di:

During the first 25 hours of operation (running-in), the following precautions should be used:

- Evitare di viaggiare a velocità costante

- Avoid travel at high speeds

- Variando la velocità i vari componenti si assesteranno uniformemente ed in minor tempo

- Change speed often so that the parts will break in uniformly and in a shorter time

- Evitare di ruotare la manopola del gas per più di 3/4.

- Avoid turning the throttle more than 3/4 of the way.

Attenzione:

Warning:

• Dopo 500 km di percorrenza sostituire l'olio trasmissione nel carter.

• Change the crankcase oil after 500 km.

• Utilizzare sempre benzina qualità.

• Always use a mixture of green grade gas and a qualitatively good oil.

- Sharply pull on the starter as shown in the figure while slightly turning the throttle twist grip.

- Intervenire sulla messa in moto tirando un colpo deciso come mostrato in figura e ruotando leggermente il comando gas

- Always close the fuel tank valve when the engine is off.

- A motore fermo chiudere sempre il rubinetto della benzina.

Nota: A motore freddo inserire lo starter spingendo verso il basso la levetta B, attendere alcuni istanti quindi riportare la leva nella posizione iniziale.

MAINTENANCE AND CHECKS

MANUTENZIONE E CONTROLLI SCATOLA FILTRO Il filtro aria A si trova sotto l'ammortizzatore posteriore ed è collegato da un collettore in gomma B direttamente al carburatore.

Per rimuovere il filtro è necessario allentare la vite C della fascetta, dopodiche è possibile sfilarlo per procedere alle operazioni di pulizia.

Nota: Nel caso in cui il filtro fosse molto sporco lavarlo prima con benzina e poi con acqua e shampoo.

AIR FILTER Air filter A is located under the rear shock absorber, and is directly connected to the carburettor by rubber manifold B. To remove the filter, loosen clamp screw C, then pull out the filter and clean it.

Nota: If the filter is very dirty, firt wash it with petrol and then with water and soap.

Clean the filter every time the vehicle is used crosscountry.

SPARK PLUG

Mantenere la candela in buono stato contribuisce alla diminuzione dei consumi e all'ottimale funzionamento del motore.

Keeping the spark plug in good condition will reduce fuel consumption and increase engine performance.

Per effettuare il controllo è sufficiente sfilare la pipetta della corrente e svitare la candela.

Esaminare con uno spessimetro la distanza fra gli elettrodi che dovrà essere di 0,5-0,6 mm, nel caso non corrisponda a questo valore è possibile correggerla piegando delicatamente l'elettrodo di massa.

To perform the check, simply slide off the electrical connection tube and unscrew the spark plug.

Examine the distance between the electrodes with a feeler. This distance should be from 0.5 to 0.6 mm. If it is not, it may be corrected by bending the earth electrode.

Verificare inoltre che non presenti screpolature sull'isolante o elettrodi corrosi, in questi casi procedere all'immediata sostituzione.

Check as well that there are no cracks in the insulation or corroded electrodes. If so, replace immediately.

Per il montaggio della candela è consigliabile avvitarla a mano fino a battuta, quindi bloccarla con la chiave.

When replacing the spark plug, screw it in by hand until it stops, then tighten with a wrench.

Per determinare lo stato di usura delle pastiglie A dei freni anteriori e posteriori è sufficente visionare le pinze come indicato in figura.

Le estremita delle quattro pastiglie non dovranno presentare lo spessore del ferodo inferiore a 1 mm.

Nel caso risultasse inferiore a questa quota minima procedere immediatamente alla loro sostituzione.

To check the wear of front and rear brake pads A, simply inspect the brake calipers as shown in the figure.

The thickness of the lining on the ends of the four pads should never be less than 1 mm.

Should the lining be thinner, immediately replace the brake pads.

We recommend having the brake pads replaced by an authorized dealer.

Per la sostituzione delle pastiglie freni consigliamo di rivolgersi al proprio rivenditore.

A MIN 1 mm.

CHECKS AFTER CLEANING

Dopo la pulizia del motociclo è buona norma:

After cleaning the motorcycle, it is good practice to:

• eseguire la lubrificazione sopra i punti di snodo A della sospensione posteriore.

• eseguire una perfetta pulizia e asciugatura del gruppo catena - corona pignone seguita da un buon ingrassaggio, al fine di mantenere più a lungo il buono stato di questi organi.

• asciugare bene eventuali parti metalliche soggette a corrosione, ossido, ecc.

• Lubricate the articulated joints A on the rear suspension.

• Carefully clean and dry the chain-gear-pinion assembly and then apply grease thoroughly in order to keep these parts in good condition as long as possible.

• Dry well any metal parts subject to corrosion, oxidation, etc.

REGOLAZIONI REGOLAZIONE FRENI Il freno anteriore e posteriore è del tipo a disco con comando meccanico, per cui necessitano di interventi di regolazione periodica. Come mostra la figura il gioco sulle leve dei freni deve essere di 5 á 6 mm. Per la regolazione procedere come segue: -In posizione di guida verfificare il gioco.

-Qualora la corsa risultasse eccessiva agire sul registri A sulla leva del freno fino al raggiugimento della posizione desiderata.

-Dopodiche serrare la controghiera B. Nota: Le pinze freno anteriori e posteriori sono dotate di un registro C che consente di avvicinare o allontanare le pastiglie dal disco in modo da regolare la frenata a piacimento.

Nota: Per regolare la tensione dei cavi freno , allentare il dado autobloccante D, ritensionare il cavo e serrare nuovamente il fissaggio D. 26

ADJUSTMENT OF BRAKES The front and rear brakes are mechanically operated disc brakes which require periodic adjustment. As shown in the figure, there should be 5-6 mm play on the brake levers. To adjust the play, follow these steps: - Check the play in driving position.

- If the clearance is excessive, use adjuster A on the brake lever to obtain the desired position.

- Tighten locknut B. Note: The front and rear brake calipers are equipped with an adjuster C that allows the braking action to be adjusted by moving the brake pads towards or away from the disc Note: To adjust the tension of the brake cables, loosen self-locking nut D, retension the cable and then tighten nut D again.

ADJUSTMENTS ADJUSTMENT OF IDLING SPEED In order to perform this operation correctly, we advise you to do it when the engine is hot, connecting an electric revolution counter to the spark plug wire. Then use a screwdriver on register screw A to calibrate the minimum.

REGOLAZIONE MINIMO Per eseguire correttamente questa operazione si consiglia di effettuarla a motore caldo, collegando un contagiri elettronico al cavo candela.

Intervenire poi con un giravite sulla vite di registro A tarando il minimo.

REGOLAZIONE GIOCO GAS Qualora sul comando dell'acceleratore sia presente una corsa a vuoto superiore ai 3 mm misurati sul bordo della manopola stessa, occorre effettuarne la regolazione agendo sulla ghiera B del comando gas come indicato in figura dopo aver sfilato la protezione in gomma C .

Per una piÚ lunga durata della catena di trasmissione è opportuno controllare periodicamente la sua tensione. Tenerla sempre pulita dalla sporcizia depositata e lubrificarla. Se il gioco della catena supera i 20 mm procedere al suo tensionamento:

Checking the drive chain periodically to ensure longer chain life.

Always keep it lubricated and clean of deposited dirt.

If play exceeds 20 mm tighten the chain as follows:

- Allentare il dado A su entrambi i bracci della forcellone

- Loosen the nut A on both sides of the swing arm.

- Act on screw B to retighten the chain.

- Move the same screw on the opposite side to the position of the previous one.

GUÍA ECOLOGÍCA

Bruit et pollution de chaque véhicule varient selon le type de conduite de l’utilisateur.

El ruido y la polución que produce cada vehículo, dependen en gran medida en la forma de conducirlo.

Il est recommandé de conduire de manière régulière et souple, sans donner de fortes accélérations ou décélérations.

Pendant la conduite tout terrain veillez à ne pas causer de dégâts à la nature, faire un bruit minimum, et éviter tout comportement pouvant déranger des personnes ou des animaux.

Pratiquez une conduite sportive seulement sur les circuits fermés.

CONDUIRE EN TOUTE SECURITE • L’utilisation de ce véhicule n’est autorisée que sur un circuit ou comme tout-terrain, et non sur les routes publique. Les parents sont responsables de la sécurité de leurs enfants, et sont tenus de vérifier le bon usage du véhicule; • Portez toujours un casque homologué; • Conduisez toujours assis avec les 2 mains sur le guidon et les pieds sur les repose pieds; • Interdit remorquer autres motos ou se faire remorquer; • Faire bien attention en cas de routes glissantes (pluie, boue, conduite hors pistes, etc.)

• N'allumer pas le moteur dans un endroit fermè clos.

Conduire avec prudence, en respectant le code de la route et la nature environnante, mettre son casque, sont des démonstrations de savoir vivre.

Le recomendamos conducir de una forma regular, sin aceleraciones y desaceleraciones bruscas.

Durante la conducción fuera de carretera (caminos rurales) no efectuar daño a la naturaleza, efectuar el menor ruido posible, evitando así un comportamiento que pueda molestar a personas y animales.

Practicar una conducción deportiva, sólo en circuitos cerrados.

GUIA DE SEGURIDAD • está permitido el uso del vehículo únicamente en pista o en todo terreno, no está permitido en calles y carreteras pùblica. Los padres, como responsables de la seguridad de sus hijos, deben por lo tanto verificar que esto suceda; • Llevar siempre puesto el casco (homologado); • Conducir siempre sentado y con ambas manos sobre el manillar así como los pies en los estribos; • no remolcar no hacerse remolcar por otros vehículos; • Prestar mucha atención en el caso de calzada resbaladiza (lluvia, barro,conducción fuera de la calzada, etc • No arrancar el motor en lugar cerrado.

Conducir con prudencia, respetar el código de circulación y la naturaleza que nos rodea, llevar siempre puesto el casco, es una demostración de persona civilizada.

Wir empfehlen Ihnen deshalb, eine regelmäßige Fahrweise, ohne schnelle Beschleunigungen und momentane Abbremsungen, anzuwenden.

Während der Geländefahrt berücksichtigen Sie die Natur und verursachen Sie sowenig Lärm wie möglich und vermeiden Sie Verhalten, die Personen und Tiere stören könnte. Üben Sie eine sportliche Fahrweise nur in geschlossenen Racingbahnen aus.

SICHERES FAHREN • Das Fahrzeug darf nur auf Rennstrecken oder im Gelände aber nicht auf normalen Straßen gefahren werden. Die Eltern, die für die Sicherheit ihrer Kinder verantwortlich sind, müssen darauf achten, dass dies eingehalten wird; • setzen Sie immer typgeprüfte Helme auf und schließen Sie sie; • lenke Sie mit beiden Händen am Lenker, sitzend und mit den Füßen am Trittbrett; • schleppen Sie keine anderen Fahrzeuge und lassen Sie sich nicht schleppen; • Benützen Sie beide Bremsen und fahren Sie bei rutschigem Boden (Regen, Schlamm, Geländefahrt usw.) besonders vorsichtig; • starten Sie den Motor nicht in geschlossenen Räumen.

Das vorsichtige Fahren, Respekt der Verkehrsvor-schriften, der Natur und Umwelt, die Anwendung eines Helmes sind Merkmale wahrer Zivilisation.

FONCTIONNEMENT ET UTILISATION - FUNCIONAMIENTO Y UTILIZACION - FUNKTION UND BENUTZUNG CONTROLES ET ENTRETIEN AVANT ET APRES USAGE Il est conseillé d’effectuer, avant et après usage, quelques opérations de contrôle et d’entretien.

En fait quelques minutes passées à ces opérations rendent la conduite plus sûre, et peuvent vous faire économiser temps et argent.

Procédez aux contrôles en effectuant les vérifications suivantes : • Vérifiez la pression, l’état général et la profondeur des rainures des pneus.

• Pour les jours de froid il est conseillé de faire chauffer le moteur au ralenti quelques instants avant de partir.

• Après utilisation en tout terrain nous vous recommandons de laver votre véhicule soigneusement.

CONTROL Y MANTENIMIENTO ANTES Y DESPUÉS DE SU UTILIZACIÓN Para evitar desagradables inconvenientes durante el funcionamiento del vehículo es aconsejable efectuar bien antes y después de su utilización, algunas operaciones de control y mantenimiento.

En efecto, pocos minutos dedicados a estas operaciones, repercuten más adelante en una conducción más segura, ahorrando así tiempo y dinero.

Por lo tanto proceder como sigue: • Verificar la presión, el estado general y el espesor de las cubiertas.

• En días fríos es aconsejable antes de salir, dejar q u e el motor se caliente un poco, haciéndolo girar al mínimo durante algunos segundos.

• Cada vez que el vehículo se utilice por caminos, procurar lavarlo correctamente.

FONCTIONNEMENT ET UTILISATION - FUNCIONAMIENTO Y UTILIZACION - FUNKTION UND BENUTZUNG KONTROLLEN UND WARTUNG VOR UND NACH BENÜTZUNG Um unangenehme Vorfälle während der Fahrt zu vermeiden, wird empfohlen, vor und nach Benützung einige Kontroll- und Wartungsoperationen durchzu-führen. Widmen Sie diesen Operationen einige Minuten, die Ihnen Zeit und Geld ersparen lassen und zusätzlich eine sichere Lenkung garantieren.

Wie folgt fortschreiten: • Den Druck, den Generalzustand und die Laufflächenstärke überprüfen.

• Es wird geraten, bei kalter Witterung vor der Abfahrt, den Motor aufzuwärmen, indem er einige Sekunden auf Minimum laufen gelassen wird.

• Nach jeder Geländefahrt muss das Fahrzeug sorgfältig gereinigt werden.

RODAJE

Le rodage a une durée de 25 heures d’utilisation environ, durant lesquelles il est conseillé de :

El rodaje dura aproximadamente 25 horas de uso, durante este tiempo se recomienda:

- Evitez de circuler à vitesse continue (sans changer de régime).

- Evitar de viajar a velocidad constante.

- En faisant varier le régime moteur, les différents composants prendront leur place uniformément dans un meilleur temps.

- Variando la velocidad, los componentes mecánicos se ajustan uniformemente en un menor tiempo.

- Evitar de sobrepasar el puño del gas a más de 3/4.

- Evitez d’utiliser le véhicule avec la poignée gaz ouverte à plus de 3/4.

Atencion: Attention: • Après 500 km de trajet, remplacer l’huile de transmission dans le carter.

• Utilisez toujours de l’essence sans plomb et de l’huile de bonne qualité.

• Après la première sortie tout terrain veiller à contrôler la boulonnerie.

• Después de 500 km de recorrido sustituir el aceite de la transmisión en el cárter.

• Utilizar siempre gasolina sin plombo y aceite de buena calidad.

Pour enlever le filtre, desserrer la vis C de la bande, puis extraire le filtre pour procéder au nettoyage.

Zum Ausbau des Filters muss die Schraube C an der Schelle gelöst werden. Anschließend kann der Filter für die Reinigung herausgezogen werden.

Anmerkung: Ein stark verschmutzter Filter muss zunächst mit Waschbenzin gereinigt und anschließend mit Wasser und Seife gewaschen werden.

Der Filter muß nach jedem Geländeeinsatz des Fahrzeugs gereinigt werden.

Maintenir la bougie en bon état contribue à une diminution de consommation et à un fonctionnement optimal du moteur.

Mantener la bujía en buen estado, contribuye a la disminución del consumo y al optimo funcionamiento del motor.

Pour effectuer le contrôle, il suffit d’enlever le cabochon antiparasite et dévisser la bougie.

Contrôler avec un jeu de cale l’écartement des électrodes qui doit se situer entre 0,5-0,6 mm, dans le cas ou cela ne correspondrait pas à cette valeur il est nécessaire de corriger doucement l’écartement des électrodes.

Para efectuar el control es suficiente con desmontar la pipa de bujía (corriente) y desenroscar la bujía.

Examinar con una galga la distancia que hace el electrodo, el cual deberá ser de 0,5 - 0,6 mm. En el caso que no corresponda a estos valores, es posible corregirla golpeando suavemente el electrodo de masa.

Vérifiez également que l’isolant ne soit pas craquelé et que les électrodes ne soient pas corrodés. Dans ce cas procédez immédiatement à la substitution de la bougie.

Verificar al mismo tiempo que no presente grietas en el aislamiento ó electrodo corrosivo, en tal caso proceder inmediatamente a su sustitución.

Pour le remontage de la bougie il est conseillé de la visser à la main et d’utiliser la clef pour le blocage.

ENTRETIEN ET CONTROLES - MANTENIMIENTO Y CONTROL -WARTUNG UND KONTROLLEN ZÜNDKERZE Der gute Zustand der Zündkerze trägt zu einer Verringerung des Treibstoffverbrauches und dem optimalen Motorbetrieb bei.

Um eine Kontrolle durchzuführen, genügt es, die Strompipette herauszuziehen und die Zündkerze herauszudrehen.

Mit einem Dickenmesser den Abstand zwischen den Elektroden (0,5-0,6mm) abmessen; sollten die Werte nicht übereinstimmen, ist es möglich eine Korrektur durchzuführen, indem die Masseelektrode gebogen wird.

Ebenfalls überprüfen, wenn keine Risse am Isoliermaterial oder angegriffene Elektroden vorhanden sind; sollte dies der Fall sein, sofort einen Wechsel durchführen.

Für den Zündkerzeneinbau wird empfohlen, diese manuell bis zum Anschlag einzuschrauben und dann mit dem Schlüssel zu blockieren.

Les extrémités des quatre plaquettes devront posséder au moins 1 mm d'épaisseur de garniture.

Dans le cas contraire, procéder immédiatement à leur substitution.

Los extremos de las cuatro pastillas no deben tener un espesor del material de fricción menor de 1 mm.

Zur Überprüfung des Verschleißzustandes der vorderen und hinteren Bremsbeläge wie in der Abbildung gezeigt die Bremssättel kontrollieren.

Der Rand der vier Bremsbeläge muss eine Belagsstärke von mindestens 1 mm aufweisen.

Bei einer geringeren Belagsstärke müssen die Bremsbeläge sofort gewechselt werden.

Wir empfehlen Ihnen sich zum Wechseln der Bremsbeläge an Ihren Verkäufer zu wenden.

REGLAGES - REGULACIONES - REGELUNGEN REGLAGE DES FREINS Le frein avant et arrière _ est de type à disque avec commande mécanique, donc il a besoin d'interventions périodiques pour le réglage. Comme l'illustre la figure, le jeu sur les leviers doit être de 5 ÷ 6 mm. Pour le réglage, procéder comme suit : -En position de conduite, vérifier le jeu.

-Si la course est excessive, agir sur les réglages A sur le levier du frein afin d'atteindre la position voulue.

-Ensuite, serrer le contre écrou B. Nota: Les mâchoires de frein avants et arrières sont pourvues d'un réglage C qui permet de rapprocher ou d'éloigner les plaquettes du disque de manière à régler le freinage au besoin.

Nota: Pour régler la tension des câbles du frein, desserrer l'écrou autobloquant D, retendre le câble et serrer à nouveau la fixation D.

REGULACION FRENOS Los frenos delanteros y traseros son de disco con accionamiento mecánico, por lo tanto es necesario realizar ajustes periódicos. Come muestra la figura el juego en las palancas de los frenos debe ser de 5 ó 6 mm. Para la regulación proceder de la siguiente manera: - Comprobar el juego desde la posición de conducción.

- En el caso de recorrido excesivo actuar en los reguladores A ubicados en la palanca hasta alcanzar la posición deseada.

-Luego apretar la contratuerca B. Nota: Las pinzas de los frenos delantero y trasero tienen un regulador C que permite de acercar o de alejar las pastillas del disco ajustándolas a su propio gusto.

Nota: Para ajustar la tension de los cables de freno, aflojar la tuerca autoblocante D, tensionar el cable y luego apretar nuevamente la tuerca D.

REGLAGES - REGULACIONES - REGELUNGEN BREMSENREGELUNG Die Vorderrad- und Hinterradbremse sind Scheibenbremsen mit mechanischer Betätigung, die regelmäßig nachgestellt werden müssen. Wie in der Abbildung gezeigt muss das Spiel an den Bremshebeln 5 ÷ 6 mm betragen. Für die Einstellung wie folgt vorgehen: - In Fahrtposition das Spiel prüfen.

- Bei zu großem Hub die Stellvorrichtungen A am Bremshebel soweit verstellen, bis die gewünschte Position erreicht ist.

- Anschließend den Konter-Gewindering B festziehen.

Anmerkung: Die Bremssättel der Vorderrad- und Hinterradbremse sind mit Stellvorrichtungen C ausgestattet, mit denen die Bremsbeläge an die Bremsscheibe angenähert oder entfernt werden können, so dass die Bremswirkung nach Belieben eingestellt werden kann.

Anmerkung: Zur Einstellung der Bremsseilspannung die selbstsichernde Mutter D lösen, das Seil spannen und die Befestigung D wieder festziehen.

Intervenir avec un tournevis sur la vis de régleur A afin de régler le ralenti.

Actuar luego con un destornillador sobre el tornillo de registro A tarando el mínimo.

Pour une meilleure longivité de la chaîne, il est conseillé de contrôler périodiquement sa tension et de la tenir toujours propre et la lubrifier.

Si le jeu de la chaîne est supérieure à 20 mm (voir figure) procédez à sa tension.

Para una más larga durada de la cadena de trasmiciòn es oportuno controlar periódicamente su tensión.

Tenerla siempre limpia de suciedad, y lubricarla.

Si el juego de la cadena supera los 20 mm (ver figura) proceder a su tensado.

REGLAGES - REGULACIONES - REGELUNGEN KETTENSPANNUNG Um eine längere Lebensdauer der Antriebskette zu gewähren, wird eine periodische Spannungsüberprüfung empfohlen. Immer den abgelagerten Schmutz entfernen und schmieren. Sollte der Kettenspielraum 20 mm überschreiten, eine Spannung vornehmen.

- Die Mutter A auf beiden Seiten der Gabel lösen.

- Die richtige Kettenspannung über die Schraube B einstellen.

- Die gleiche Schraube auf der gegenüber liegenden Seite so verstellen, dass sie auf die gleiche Position wie die andere Schraube eingestellt wird.

- Die Ausrichtung des Rades prüfen.

- Die Mutter A auf beiden Gabelseiten festziehen.
