The Vision (Continued from pg. 5)
for my entrée, and Ray had the red snapper, which was amazing. For dessert we shared pecan pie, Hoja Santa and Texas wildflower honey ice cream. What a treat! Since our first trip to Hill Country Equestrian Lodge, we have been back three additional times. I have had such an amazing experience working on my riding skills with my friend and teacher, Dianne. For me, riding is now much more than a passion, it is an opportunity to developer greater confidence in myself and overcoming old fears. The energy between a horse and a rider is quite magical once the trust is built. My Zen moments for this trip revolve around the walks in both the early morning and early evenings, with Ray. We saw everything from deer and jack rabbits, to fox and armadillos during our strolls. We also saw the sunrise and set each day as well. As always, I am grateful to share my journeys with you and look forward to the upcoming year of travel.
Blessings, Sage

When our vision changes from a “getting” mentality to a “giving” mentality, miracles happen. We work most of our lives to acquire money in order to buy things to provide for ourselves and those we love, and that’s part of living our lives. But when we shift from selling to serving, our lives acquire a spiritual aspect that opens our hearts and deepens our relationships with family and friends, with ourselves, with the world, and with The Divine. Sometimes this shift doesn’t occur until after retirement and we have the opportunity to shift into the people we wanted to become years ago. But, the shift doesn’t happen simply because we have retired, and often it doesn’t happen if the seeds weren’t planted during those income-earning years. We can begin the transformation from selling to serving, from getting to giving while gainfully employed. For some people this paradigm shift launches them into a new career, even perhaps a new form of income that allows them to resign their old work and concentrate on the new. This shift into service mode is a powerful force that grows more powerful as the Universe works together with us to heal our planet. The ego must be kept under control, but if we keep focused on service and allowing the fruits of our labor to be reinvested into additional service, we will succeed. When our vision is of a healed world, our resources multiply, miracles abound, and we become co-creators with The Divine.
