My name is Владимир Вертеховский. I was born in Eastern Siberia. My father was a Belarusian Pole, my mother was Russian. My father was in the military, went through three wars, German captivity and Stalin’s camps. Mother was born in China to a family of railway workers. In 1938, her parents were shot as enemies of the people.

My parents gave me my first camera when I was 12 years old. At that time, my family lived in the Far East on the construction of the BAM. One of my first photos of models were reindeer. Since then, the camera has always been present in my life. I have traveled almost all over the Soviet Union. I lived for five years in the Czech Republic, and for eight eight years in Portugal. In 2000-2001, I often visited Poland. Now I live in western Belarus. Much to my regret, I lost all my black and white negatives. My main specialty was a graphic designer. But in recent years I have been mainly engaged in art photography. I am a member of the Union of Russian Photographers. In Portugal, I had two solo exhibitions. This year I was included in the top 100 photographers in the black and white category in the international photography competition 35AWARDS. One of my photographs was included in the annual catalog of this competition.

In photography, I am most interested in subtle emotions. I try to add a bit of mysticism to my pictures, bordering on surrealism. And I’m happy when I succeed. Although my objects are simple objects and landscapes. Nature and countryside landscapes are my main source of inspiration. I work in all genres. But here I try to add a little mystery. Impressionism and surrealism are closest to me in the visual arts.

Besides photography, I have been practicing healing for many years. Sufficiently successful.

Nazywam się Władimir Wiertechowski. Urodziłem się na Syberii Wschodniej. Mój ojciec był Polakiem z Białorusi, matka — Rosjanką. Ojciec służył w wojsku, przeżył trzy wojny, niewolę niemiecką i obozy stalinowskie. Matka urodziła się w Chinach, w rodzinie pracowników kolejowych. W 1938 r. jej rodzice zostali rozstrzelani, jako wrogowie ludu. Gdy miałem 12 lat otrzymałem od Rodziców pierwszy aparat. W tym czasie moja rodzina mieszkała na Dalekim Wschodzie przy budowie BAM1. Moimi pierwszymi „modela-
