lets talk about advertising... With 100,000+ copies DELIVERED BY ROYAL MAIL with a shelf life of over a month, you can expect to attract a lot of business. Must be expensive, right? Well, ask yourself how much 4 inserts in all the local weekly papers covering our distribution area would be (we put out more copies than them all combined) and you will see we are ridiculously cheap! Or to be even more frugal, you might just want to advertise to your very local area. We put out over 30,000 copies in Moray alone. And offer stunning value. Ever worked out how much it would cost to print a leaflet and pay for it to be distributed to every home? A lot more than taking an advert in ICA... To find out how little it could cost YOU, just give us a call: 01463 715125 or email nikki@icaNOW.com Pictured: VAMPIRE WEEKEND – who play ROCKNESS Sunday 13 June. Permanent Cosmetics

have been around for thousands of years in the form of primitive facial tattooing, but thankfully today, it is a very safe and painless procedure due to the high standards in the industry and the excellent topical anaesthetics used. Permanent Cosmetics, also known as Semi-permanent Makeup or Micropigmentation, is a form of cosmetic tattooing which places pharmaceutical grade pigment into the dermal layer of the skin, giving very natural looking results. The main procedures are natural hair stroke brows, eyeliner and lip contour

and colour blush. Many women (and men too) have lost their brow hair due to medical conditions. Eyebrows frame the face and many clients say it is very liberating not to have to draw them on every day. The technique can also be used for medical work such as replicating realistic areolas and nipples on reconstructed breasts following surgery, scar camouflage and cleft lip repair among other things. Janet Miller has been trained by Nouveau Contour’s elite trainers and has several years experience working in North London and Dublin. She is now

working in salons around the Highlands and Islands and is offering a Free Consultation and 10% Discount to this month’s ICA readers. You can contact Janet on 07962 207776 or info@janet-miller.co.uk to book your consultation.

CASTLE GALLERY

5-26 June: Jennifer Mackenzie & Will Shakespeare JENNIFER MACKENZIE lives and works in Sutherland. Her paintings are very much a personal response to her environment, in the Scottish tradition of colour, light and space. She loves bold colour and the tactile qualities of oil paint and though she paints mostly still life, she also enjoys figurative and landscape work and has undertaken a number of portrait commission. WILL SHAKSPEARE lives and works in the West Country. His glass is hand blown from recycled lead glass then coloured using a variety of different processes. Will discovered hot glass in 1981 and he finds it a constant challenge both physically and mentally. He is inspired by rock pools and the Big Bang theory. His glass is featured in numerous collections world-wide. castlegallery.co.uk

HICA

20 June to 25 July THOMSON & CRAIGHEAD Sometimes this modern art malarkey spends far too much time burrowing up its own fundament, but when it hits on a truly great idea it proves irresistible. Jon Thomson and Alison Craighead play around with your perceptions via some time-related pieces, the most intriguing of which is a complete rendition of the 1960’s film version of HG Wells’s novella Time Machine, re-edited by the artists in its entirety into alphabetical order. This re-working imposes a formalistic time travel on the original movie and presents it back as a more esoteric and rhythmic narrative assemblage. Clever. The End is an intervention into HICA’s picture window, where the words ‘The End’ are fixed onto the inside of the glass in a style and scale one would associate with the end credits of a movie. “By the simplest means possible, the artists gently fictionalise the surrounding landscape by suggesting a sense of cinematic time overlaying the real-time view out of the window”. It’s a thrillingly simple idea, but something we most definitely want to see. We might even be recreating it in our own houses before too long.. h-i-c-a.org

ICA Business feature:

Eilertsen Dental Care

Just before Christmas Eilertsen Dental Care opened a stylish and state of the art dental practice in a light and airy new building in Cradlehall Business Park, Inverness. The expertise of Eilertsen Dental Care and the well qualified staff make the patient experience at this attractive practice as comfortable and relaxing as it can possibly be. Easy to find and with ample free parking outside the ground floor practice Eilertsen Dental Care welcomes everybody. We deliver competitively priced services for long term family dental care alongside our expertise in cosmetic dentistry and implant treatment. The practice believes that the secret of success is fostering strong client relationships. Receptionist Jackie Thain greets all patients with a smile and her efficiency is legendary. She is a qualified dental nurse and also a

qualified dental health educator but for the last few years has been working as receptionist. Preventive care is at the heart of the practice and there is a dedicated hygienist surgery home to practice hygienist Louise Shenfield who is running the preventive program for children. We en coura g e all patients to gain the benefits of regular hygienist visits which result in better oral health and reduced need for dental treatment. Qualified Dental Nurse Lindsey Munro who looks after the patients in the surgery with a sympathetic ear for their concerns is constantly upgrading her qualifications. A course in sedation nursing is next on her list. One of the many highly sophisticated treatments available at Eilertsen Dental Care is the Imtec MDI implant solution for the problem lower denture. Popularly called mini – implants these are placed using a precise, controlled, minimally invasive surgical

technique. This is a one-step procedure with no long wait for healing. A new lower denture is not always necessary either which makes this treatment very affordable. New patients are always welcome at Eilertsen Dental Care. Our approachable and experienced staff are always ready to answer queries and to offer help and advice. Written estimates are always issued before the start of treatment and we are happy to discuss your options for treatment cover with one of our own Dental Care Plans should you wish. For current and new patients alike our goal is to provide the highest quality patient care and dental healthcare possible. Tel: 01463 794 304 smile@eilertsen-dentalcare.co.uk

You may do as you please with God now. It is permitted. God placed Himself in men’s hands when He sent Jesus Christ into the world as perfect God and perfect Man in one Being. He was then in man’s hands. They cursed Him. It was permitted. Men spit on Him. God allowed it. They called Him a devil. God withheld His wrath. Finally men arrested Him, gave Him a mock trial, flogged Him, nailed Him on a cross and hung Him between earth and heaven; and God allowed it. You can do likewise, though Christ is not bodily present. You can ignore Him.

You can ignore His Book, the Bible and His church. You can laugh at His bloodbought salvation, curse His followers, and laugh at hell. It is permitted. The eternal Christ may knock at your soul’s door, calling you to give up sin and prepare for heaven. You may refuse Him, spit on Him, call Him a devil, curse Him. It is permitted. You may take His Name upon your lips in oaths and curses if you so choose. He is in your hands - now. On the other hand, you may seek His favor, humble yourself before Him and beg His mercy, implore His forgiveness, forsake your sins, and abandon your whole life to Him. He has said, “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear My voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with Me.” Revelation 3:20 The choice is up to you. The latch is on your side of the door. The choice is yours: the revellings and pleasureseekings of this world or quiet communion with God; the ever burning lusts of the flesh or the powerful victory of Holy Spirit discipline. The choice is yours: God is in your hands, now.

God has already set the day when you will be in His hands. What He does with you then depends on what you do with Him now. Then it will be a “fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God” Hebrews 10:31, if you have abused Him in your hands. In that day God will have only two verdicts: “Depart from Me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels” Matthew 25:41, or “enter thou into the joy of thy Lord” Matthew 25:21. The verdict that will fall upon you depends on what you do with Christ now. The Lord Jesus Christ is the only shelter in the day of God’s wrath; He is the appointed expression of God’s love to us, demonstrated in His life, death, and resurrection. Through the touch of the Holy Spirit, He continues His love, moving upon our human spirit and prompting our human conscience. You have no connection with God or with heaven but through the Lord Jesus Christ. There is “one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus…” I Timothy 2:5 You may choose to be neutral, but that is delusion. You may postpone decision, so to speak. But, to the ear of God, the postponement is a flat “no.” This is your day. He is in your hands. In God’s day, when you are in His hands, there will be no postponement of sentence, no neutral place between heaven and hell, no mediator between God and man. No mediator - for He who is now mediator has already been appointed to be Judge in that day.

Friend, listen! if you want mercy and pardon, you will have to get it now. God loves you, Christ died as a substitute for your sins on the cross. You have to receive Him for yourself; no-one can do it for you. But do it now.

But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, Romans 5:8 while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
