FORCE ONE #38 10 YEARS AND COUNTING
From the very first issue, which I had the honor of presenting to H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco, during an evening at the Hotel de Paris in the presence of over 300 guests (and all my hair, sigh!), there has never been a moment of pause. It's been constant work, a journey full of challenges, encounters, farewells, travels, dilemmas (digital or nondigital?), and so on...
But we have decided to celebrate this issue number 38 (two editions were canceled during the Covid period, just like the Olympics during the world wars...) in our usual way, by working, creating, and printing something beautiful to look at, a pleasure to read, on a private flight, in a suite on the French Riviera, in a chalet in the Alps, or on a yacht...
In short, a beautiful object for beautiful places, and beautiful people ;-)...
The list of thanks, trying to recall from memory, is of course impossible to make complete. So, counting on the understanding of those whose names I may have forgotten due to my poor memory, let me thank:
Gianni (I owe you the name Force One, my friend in the sky), Ahn'nâ, Claire, Melissa, Patrick and Florent (the two true pillars! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for supporting this castle in the toughest moments), Alberto, Alice...
And thanks to those who dream and work hard with Force One today: Dafne, Laura, Vicky, Richard, Thomas, Graham...
Thanks to my "partners in crime" Vittorio, Andrea, Elio: we are building something great.
Thanks to our partners and sponsors!
And an immense thank you to Manuela.

F.O. : What is your experience with yachts & boating?
Owner. : We have been on the water since childhood, including racing small sailboats, and extensive cruising in New England, Florida and the Bahamas with family boats. We have also chartered in the BVI. Our three generations of close-knit families have enjoyed countless joyful experiences on board our family yachts.
F.O. : Why did you decide to build an electric yacht?
Owner. : The climate impact of large power yachts is significant. We have taken extensive steps to impact the climate crises, therefore we could only consider a power yacht if it would incorporate technologies that are rapidly scaling in other sectors such as solar energy and electric vehicles. Given our focus on sustainability broadly, only an electric “Eco” boat aligned with our values.
F.O. : Why did you decide to build with Sunreef Yachts?
Owner. : We conducted extensive research in collaboration with our broker Staley Weidman from The Catamaran Company. This included visits and meetings with multiple foreign shipyards, to determine who was genuinely and successfully advancing stateof-the-art with electric and sustainable yachting. The result of our discovery process was clear – Sunreef leads the industry with research and development, high-quality production, highly evaluated sourcing, and compelling on-water performance.
F.O. : How was your collaboration with the Sunreef team?
Owner. : The Sunreef yacht design capability has allowed for significant input and choice on our part. We have accomplished this because Sunreef’s client-facing team patiently interfaces with us remotely sometimes on a weekly basis. On-site visits have been extremely efficient in terms of making early design decisions about layout, material, colors, and furnishings. It’s a family-run, private company that has a history of high achievement, and that culture is evident throughout the organization.
F.O. : Were you involved in the design process?
Owner. : My spouse and I, together with our Captain, designer and broker, have worked directly with Sunreef, throughout the project. While we have never designed and built a yacht, we have brought our style and ideas from our home and hospitality projects and enjoyed learning and shaping of our future marine home!
F.O. : Where will you cruise?
Owner. : We will spend summers in the Northeast, some of which we know well, but much remains to discover. We look forward to joining the ship in the Bahamas and the Caribbean in the winter when the boat is off charter. The Caribbean, in particular, is mostly a frontier for us, and will offer a wonderful escape from the cold northern winters!
FLOATING LIFE THE PURE PLEASURE OF ENJOYING YOUR YACHT
"We’ve turned the emphasis around”, says Barbara Tambani, CEO of Floating Life. And there’s more. “We’ve given back the shipowner the pure pleasure of enjoying their yacht”, adds Andrea Pezzini, director and co-founder of the company that twenty years ago created Yacht Management team in Switzerland that’s absolutely peerless in the yachting sector. The roots of his family have been firmly in the sea since 1800, and Floating Life today is the result of the wealth of all that culture, experience and passion made available to its customers.
“We wanted to create a company and make it different”, they explain from their headquarters in Vacallo. “If in the past management was always oriented toward the commanders, we focus our attention on the shipowner instead. We handle everything, leaving them just the pleasure of enjoying their yacht”. Yacht Management deals with everything: accounting, security, technical and administrative management, maritime safety and support with the regulations and laws of each individual Country the yacht could find itself in at any given moment. “It’s a service with a strong administrative and accounting profile”, explains
Tambani. “Because maintenance has become increasingly expensive. While yachts of over 100 metres have crews of 50 or more, even small-medium yachts, between 27 and 37 metres likewise need crews that can have up to 8 or more members. They are, in effect, small companies with a budget and a financial structure that has to interface with reality. Shipowners today are increasingly aware of this and want all the details, so we provide them with a hyper-detailed budget, rigorous controls and a meticulous search for savings wherever possible”. But it doesn’t end there. Because today the yacht is also a symbol, and this has opened a world in itself.
As the company’s CCO Filippo Rossi points out, its’ no surprise that Floating Life’s new slogan is “Your dream … our passion”, because “our customers want something else, above and beyond services adequate for the experience they imagine they’ll be having”. So, in addition to the technical/ administrative part, Floating Life has developed a vast range of services tailored to the customer, from simple caretaking to itineraries and on to a virtually infinite range of services on-shore capable of satisfying any need, desire
The innovation of Floating Life for the management, charter and sale of super and mega yachts.or even whim. Yacht Management inevitably opens a door to chartering, another service that Floating Life offers and manages on the market in quite a different way. “It makes us perform at our best because we’re working directly with the owner”, says Rossi. And if on one hand we give the owners the guarantee that their property is in good hands, on the other whoever charters the boat has the absolute certainty they won’t have any nasty surprises once they’re aboard. “It’s a challenge every time for us, and every time we put all our passion into raising the bar. From the moment the customer leaves their home, they’re never abandoned to their own devices. From transfers to restaurants up to the choice of ports and excursions along the course. All the yachts are checked by us to avoid any problems by preventing them. It’s an extremely detailed job because our organisation itself is detailed.
The fleet we manage is spread over every corner of the world, we work with Italians, Chinese, Indians, Americans and more. Every nationality has its own culture, with different cuisine and customs. That’s why we can’t leave anything to chance”. The relationship of trust we manage to create leads us to another of Floating Life’s areas of expertise, which is new construction. “To any shipowner looking to build a yacht from scratch we offer all our experience in the choice of shipyard and design”, points out Pezzini. “There’s nothing more beautiful and romantic that starting out with a blank sheet of paper and designing a dream that’s destined to come true. A dream followed step by step in its realisation by our expert team of surveyors”.
And on the subject of dreams, the launch of the Dream 42 will be the apotheosis. “It’s a project that for us is absolutely visionary. This yacht we’re building in fractional ownership will have seven owners sharing the costs, and the pleasure. In terms of technical quality and innovation it’s the dream of every shipowner. But it’s also the dream of Floating Life, which in Dream 42 has put the fruit of everything we’ve learned from the sea in these last twenty years”.

A LIFE LESS ORDINARY
Located on the UNESCO-protected Bay of Kotor, the wellestablished Porto Montenegro already offers world-class facilities, including a picturesque 460 berth superyacht marina, five-star Regent Porto Montenegro Hotel and premium residences and over 300 apartments, as well as international fashion boutiques and a vibrant dining scene. The growth is reflective of an exponential rise in property prices, reaching 60% since 2012.
Upon completion Porto Montenegro will feature five dynamic and distinctive, yet interconnected neighbourhoods, which will incrementally grow and broaden the destination’s offering, including the current neighbourhood South Village, which provides classic and elegant waterfront living, dining and shopping, with over 50 boutique stores, three boutique business club office facilities, over 400 private apartments, Regent Hotel & Venezia Residences Porto Montenegro with its new, 129 managed Regent Pool Club Residences across its AQUA and BAIA buildings, as well as 50 apartments in its newest Elena Residences building, all overlooking Porto Montenegro’s unrivalled 460 berth superyacht marina.
A new urban village Boka Place, which is under development today and set for completion by 2024, will introduce a five-star health and wellness lifestyle concept hotel and fitness hub, SIRO, from industry leaders Kerzner International (creator and operator of One&Only Resorts, Atlantis Resorts and Residences, Rare Finds unique hospitality and entertainment destinations including the resorts of Bab Al Shams in Dubai and now of SIRO wellness hubs).

It will also offer a collection of rhythmic spaces that focus on fuelling selfenrichment and nourishing the soul, situated within close proximity to the existing yacht club. North Village will transform the existing sports and tennis centre of the former naval dockyard and is planned as a tennis-centric village for sporting breaks and which can host small tournaments, delivering an active but informal and laid-back lifestyle hub with residences, retail and eateries. Meanwhile, Park Gardens is planned as a resort-style oasis and a haven of tranquillity with homes set amongst dense jungle landscape and a winding network of swimmable waterways.
David Margason, Managing Director at Porto Montenegro, said: “Our vision is to complete Porto Montenegro as the premier boating and superyachting hub in the Mediterranean and to reinvent waterfront living with a diverse collection of eclectic but integrated neighbourhoods, which will be introduced over the lifetime of the masterplan according to the prevailing markets, and which harmoniously fuse together to create a place of discovery, and creative and adventurous fulfilment. Porto Montenegro is a year-round destination designed for modern lifestyles supporting a balance of live work and play. With more than 40 nationalities, Porto Montenegro is a global community, where people are united in their curiosity for the unexpected and their insatiable desire for the extraordinary. In recent years, the number of unit sales are three times* higher in Porto Montenegro than in the traditional investment spots of Spain and Portugal, and this is expected to increase further with new high-end developments being launched and major infrastructure projects such as a new highway connecting the coast and Podgorica to towns on the north such as Kolasin, and the expansion of ski facilities underway. Porto Montenegro remains an attractive opportunity for investors for its stable political and economic climate and ease of reach as it's only three hours from main European cities.
The three international airports, Tivat, Podgorica and Dubrovnik provide regular flights globally.

His journey underscores the partnership between Richard Mille and individuals dedicated to expanding the boundaries of human achievement.
FAIR WINDS AT THE INAUGURAL RICHARD MILLE CUP
The journey began with a vision shared between Richard Mille and Benoît Couturier, leading to Team Fife and the Richard Mille Cup. This endeavor aimed to rekindle the spirit of classic sailing, reminiscent of the golden era when these splendid early 20th-century vessels ruled the waves.
Richard Mille expressed his admiration, "These early 20thcentury sailboats were designed and built for nothing but speed, and it’s that extreme quality I appreciate. Their beauty and efficiency contribute to their formidable personalities."
The inaugural Richard Mille Cup paid tribute to historic pre-war regattas, racing across the English Channel, where the first great yacht races in history unfolded.
Esteemed yacht clubs, including the Royal Cornwall Yacht Club, Royal Dart Yacht Club of Dartmouth, and exclusive Royal Yacht Squadron in Cowes, played gracious hosts. Over two weeks, inshore and passage races carried antique sailing yachts from Falmouth to Cowes via Dartmouth, crossing the English Channel to Le Havre, France. Unpredictable weather and changing sea conditions tested the skills and adaptability of skippers and crews.
Each race brought new challenges as tactics adapted to shifting wind and sea conditions. Skippers orchestrated precise maneuvers, from gybing to sail management. Battles on the water featured majestic schooners like Atlantic, Adix, and Mariette.
At the cup's culmination, Mariette emerged as the Schooner class winner, rekindling the spirit of classic yacht racing and fostering camaraderie among participants. This inaugural journey celebrates the timeless allure of classic yachts, promising greater adventures ahead.
From the depths of the sea Richard Mille's passion for water comes to the surface and extends to classic yachts.Partnering with Swiss team SP80, the goal is audacious - to reach 80 knots (150 km/h) using wind power alone. North Thin Ply Technology (NTPT™), renowned for preimpregnated materials, supplies cutting-edge Carbon TPT® for the boat's construction.
SP80, founded in 2018 by engineers passionate about sailing, aims to surpass the 2012 record of 65.45 knots (121.21 km/h). Their revolutionary 7-meter-long, 6-meter-wide boat features a hull entirely crafted from Carbon TPT®, propelled by a massive 20-meter kite.
A 'super-ventilated' foil maintains stability at high speeds, preventing cavitation, while a patented power
management system efficiently channels kite power to the boat's foil.
Richard Mille's involvement reflects a shared spirit of innovation and performance with SP80.
Tim Malachard, Marketing Director at Richard Mille, notes, "In this young company, we see the effervescence of an enthusiastic and talented team."
The SP80 boat recently touched the waters of Lake Geneva, inaugurating testing and optimization for a record attempt in 2024.
Richard Mille's venture into extreme sailing showcases its commitment to pushing boundaries, innovation, and performance.

CABINET MAESTRO IVAN PARADISI’S HARMONIOUS CREATIONS IN WOOD AND MUSIC
by Luca MarottaIn the realm of woodcraft, one encounters a masterful figure who seamlessly marries the traditions of Turin's cabinet-making heritage with a contemporary artistic vision - Ivan Paradisi. He is the natural heir to the legacy of Turin's ebonist tradition, a crown ideally passed down from the legendary Pietro Piffetti, the wood virtuoso of yesteryears. Today, Paradisi ascends the throne, continuing the majestic tradition while charting a course into uncharted territory.
Ivan Paradisi's exceptional artistry lies in his unique ability to harmonize the world of music with the art of woodworking. Much like a composer weaving notes into a symphony, he transforms iconic song titles into tangible, functional masterpieces. His cabinets, bearing names like "Synchronicity" and sideboards
titled "Master Blaster," are not mere furniture; they are poetic compositions brought to life in wood.
Paradisi's creations are symphonies of form and beauty, transcending the conventional boundaries of woodworking. His minimalist designs respect the inherent patterns and hues of wood, while also paying homage to the musical motifs that inspire him.
Each piece is a unique opus, resonating with the essence of its surroundings and captivating the observer's soul.
Beyond the realm of woodworking, Ivan Paradisi is a musician in his own right and his profound love for music is as deep as his passion for craftsmanship, these two passions intermingling to create profound, multidimensional artistry.
Ivan Paradisi's journey began as a restorer of antique furniture, but his affinity for wood soon led him down an uncharted path. His commitment to the art of crafting bespoke woodwork turned each piece into a work of art.
Ivan Paradisi possesses a strong and distinctive personality that shines through in his work. However, this robust individuality doesn't hinder his ability to engage in a harmonious dialogue with his clients.
His creations are a testament to this unique blend of artistic vision and client collaboration. This co-planning approach leads to a tapestry of diverse wood varieties, including ebony, maple, and rosewood,
Every single project is a song in itself.
seamlessly coexisting with materials like leather, steel, fabric, and even unconventional elements like plastic.
Ivan Paradisi's exceptional work has garnered recognition from renowned publications like Elle Décor, Art Tribune and AD Architectural Digest. His pieces find their rightful place in exclusive villas and yachts, adding an aura of elegance and sophistication to these enviable spaces. In every creation, the spirit of music dances with the timeless elegance of woodworking, delivering a symphony of uniqueness and exclusivity.
In the world of bespoke woodwork Paradisi's masterpieces are more than furniture; they are poems in wood, evoking emotions, and leaving an indelible mark on the world of design and creativity.

DESIGN NEEDS A GRAIN OF MADNESS
People see the madness in my colorful liveliness and can't see the madness in their boring normality!
Turin is a city of profound cultural contradictions. Its bourgeois image, understated and unassuming, has always concealed an underground world of innovation and originality, a soul that rebels against the gray and beige facades of its buildings. Thus, bourgeois Turin has always nurtured a cultural ferment that over time has given rise to creative and avant-garde movements. Among the various creative fields, perhaps the one that has found the most fertile ground in the city of Savoy is contemporary design, of which Diego Maria Gugliermetto is an absolute and current example.
The historical first capital of Italy, a crossroads of bold creativity, is a clear demonstration of how contradictions can generate beauty and innovation.
In this context, the Gugliermetto family in the 1950s embarked on an extraordinary creative adventure in furniture design with the founding of Gufram, characterized by a complete break from classical norms.
The search for new forms, bold color combinations, and tireless experimentation with innovative materials such as polyurethane have in the subsequent decades opened the doors to the company's international fame.
Today, the ambassador of this creative heritage is Diego Maria Gugliermetto, who with his G-Experience carries forward his bold vision, outlined in the Italian Design Manifesto of 2012, and continues his irreverent challenge to conventions and expectations in the world of design.
Joyful, lively, impervious to boredom and the grayness of indecision, Diego Maria Gugliermetto celebrates the Bella Vita with his polyurethane sofas shaped like cork stoppers or chocolate bars, with armchairs engraved with poetic phrases, with the modularity of his creations that can change their appearance in hundreds of color variations.
G-Experience @force one
Force One loves to change its skin from time to time. Because change is a vital force, it is the ability to embrace the future and make it exciting.
The meeting with the design of Diego Maria Gugliermetto was love at first sight, which filled the Force One office overlooking the port of Monte-Carlo with colour, joy and positivity.
The design of the Youmellow sofa by Gianni Arnaudo, and the soft cheerfulness of the Lattina armchairs with the graphics of the great master Ugo Nespolo perfectly represent the style of Force One and enhance the works of art present in the office: the paintings by Zhuang Hong Yi, the sculptures by Gianni Manganelli and Zou Liang displaied on the Sway Guéridon by Ivan Paradisi, and the fresh creations of a still unknown and mysterious artist, Missterry... a new coup de coeur...
Today, attempting to draw a line between a work of art and a communication tool is entirely anachronistic; in fact, G-Experience furniture can be found both in museum exhibitions and in the offices of major companies that have commissioned unique pieces.
In Diego Maria Gugliermetto, innovation is the realization of a free dream, the ambition of the Mad
Hatter. For this reason, his furniture reproduces everyday objects in a fun, wonderful, provocative, and irreverent manner, multiplying both their real-life dimensions and our happiness.
The results are hyperboles of excess that take shape through a long and meticulous artisanal process, rigorously handmade in Italy.
THINKING BIG ELMAR VAN DIJK
by Luca MarottaWith a background in high finance and roots in IT gained from Silicon Valley, meeting with this eclectic and free minded man, who’s specialized in accompanying startups and one-of-a-kind ideas, was a breathtaking moment. Aiming to develop new concepts and exploratory objects obviously resonating with Force ONE...
F.O. : What’s the primary purpose of the WCP Group, and when was it founded?
EVD: The WCP Group has its roots in the Swiss Jura. We are naturally active in sectors ranging from watchmaking, our core business and primary focus, to micro-mechanics and medtech, to name but a few areas of application. In a more general sense, we focus on newly created organisations or those in the process of being created, working in the field of the infinitely small, serving the infinitely precise, while not neglecting innovation in a broader sense and the domains of digitalization.
Operating since 2016, the group is located in La Chauxde-Fonds. As a platform for nurturing these budding companies, it always involves creating value and relevance. We operate both on the basis of internal developments and external mandates. In all cases, our goal is to develop the entities we represent through active management in the short and medium term. Our support ends once they reach a level of autonomy that allows them to continue their journey independently or under the auspices of new owners.
F.O. : What's the group's vision?
EVD: Our vision is to become an essential player by creating value and fostering sustainable growth. We’d like to be recognized for our commitment to excellence and our role as a catalyst for innovation in these sectors, while remaining true to our roots in the Jura Mountains and the Swiss watchmaking industry.
F.O. : How do you manage a group like this?
EVD: First and foremost, through a structure that makes us fully operational and cross-functional, operating with a work model both innovative and engaging. We have a core team made up of professionals from various backgrounds, grouped around our activities: Services & Management (covering economic, financial, or legal aspects, among others), Watch design (including design and technical office), Sales, Marketing, and R&D.
F.O. : Does this mean the group’s destined to grow rapidly?
EVD: Absolutely not. We aim to stay with our fluid, agile organizational model with cutting-edge expertise. We’re not looking to become an industrial platform engaged in mass production. Once again, our mission is to support initiatives, projects, and concepts initiated by individuals, companies or brands, or start-ups at the beginning of a realization process, rather than absorbing them by managing their production from A to Z. Moreover, we can rely on a network of highly competent external professionals in the region to cover the watchmaking manufacturing sectors, among others.
F.O. : What do you specifically do within the watch division?
EVD: We work on a portfolio of current or upcoming brands. This includes product development, prototyping, or making the first series viable, among other tasks. Our watchmakers are also deployed for online and offline training purposes. We also serve as a consulting platform and intervene at all stages required by customers who commission us for private label work. All this while developing our activities related to after-sales services at the same time.
F.O. : What about the R&D division?
EVD: This is the broadest division in terms of the sectors it covers. To date, we have research focused on the processing of mass data (or big data) applied to industrialization. We are present in sectors such as metaverse, AI, linguistics, and other areas related to the world of digitization. We continue our efforts in developing new watch complications and related patents.
F.O. : An example of all these capabilities?
EVD: Through our SOOON organisation, active in the innovative digital marketing sector, we can, for example, offer customers who desire it the conceptualization of
a digital watch, its online and offline communication platforms, potentially its metaverse ecosystem, cryptocurrency payment solutions if desired, as well as branding and the entire brand universe. Straddling watchmaking, supply chain, digital, and marketing. The offer is complete.
F.O. : What elements distinguish your watch products in this highly competitive market?
EVD: Emerging and developing brands all have a strong point of singularity, often related to technical value (meaning patents), a unique manufacturing process, or an as-yet-unexploited artistic direction, or even a combination of several elements. Of course, at the heart of this approach are the aspirations surrounding the genesis of the product or its history, if you prefer. This is entrusted to us by the project initiator. In general, we are committed to launching or assisting in the development of entities that can thrive independently after our support. In a saturated market, it’s crucial to offer sustainable solutions. We certainly don’t seek to be all things to all people, or create redundancy.
F.O. : How does your group integrate cutting-edge technology while preserving craftsmanship and aesthetics in watchmaking?
EVD: This theme is as old as watchmaking itself! Throughout history, this challenge has been taken up by watchmakers and manufacturers who had to develop new complications, find new materials, and meet new needs, such as the emergence of wristwatches replacing pocket watches.
These two aspects are not antithetical but complementary,
even necessary, to keep the industry as attractive as ever. This question is often intimately linked to the luxury sector. That being said, the group is organized like a campus, bringing together a small, highly agile structure that encompasses a wide range of professions and skills. Our proximity and work philosophy allow for daily exchanges between collaborators active in craftsmanship and/ or research and development. This fosters the healthy emergence of projects and collective emulation.
F.O. : How does your group anticipate changing consumer taste trends in watches, and how does it guide your R&D efforts?
EVD: We represent emerging brands in various price segments, so we escape mass production and, consequently, the dictates of sales and trends. This allows us to focus on the DNA of the brands we seek to nurture—a DNA that always finds its audience when translated with authenticity, product respect, and uniqueness. This is our carte blanche for R&D.
F.O. : What emerging technologies could potentially revolutionize the watch industry, and how is your company preparing to integrate them?
EVD: The use of big data coupled with artificial intelligence and industrial evolution will represent a major turning point in the industry of the future. We are actively working on this through our R&D division and have already established bridges between research entities and the industry. This is the true strength of the WCP Group. The success of such operations, conducted over several years, will also benefit the portfolio of brands we manage.
We cannot solve problems with the same kind of thinking we employed when we came up with them.”Albert Einstein
wcp.swiss
F.O. : Do you consider yourselves independent?
EVD: Yes, absolutely. We are not owned by any group, whether it be in watchmaking or other industries. Most of our investors come from the world of industry and technology, which gives us valuable support in terms of expertise and networks
F.O. : What is your strategy for attracting and retaining exceptional talents in the areas that concern you?
EVD: Without hesitation, I would say the working environment. We place great importance on the research process, which we actively support. We strive to create supportive workspaces where it’s a pleasure to work.
Integrating new employees is a phase we give special attention to, promoting inclusion, and put a strong emphasis on fairness towards all our employees. Everyone must be able to find their place while coexisting peacefully with others. We also apply competitive, attractive, and unconventional compensation schemes.
Finally, we grant a lot of freedom to our teams in organizing their work, especially in terms of working hours, and wherever possible give them the choice of working remotely and/or in-person, to balance personal and professional life. We believe that the group's success is inseparably linked to the success and well-being of our collaborators. By valuing flexibility and freedom, we attract and retain talents by supporting their personal and professional development and growth.

The House of Harry Winston, known as the "King of Diamonds" and the "Rare Jeweler of the World," has a rich tradition of crafting exceptional and rare jewels. This legacy dates back to its founder, Mr. Harry Winston, who possessed a remarkable collection of diamonds and gemstones, rivaling even those of royal houses. His acquisitions included famous pieces like the Arcots, the Hope Diamond, and jewels from Marie Antoinette and Princess Eugenie. The House, of course, also created bespoke creations for nobility.

Countess Necklace50 URBAN GOLF LOOK
by Dafne FuneckAmid traditional nuances and age-old patterns, golf, and its intrinsically classic nature, narrates a stylistic superiority that no other sport possesses, defined in a range of absolutely essential items.
Fashion has always drawn nourishment and inspiration from the world of this sport, while holding fast to its roots. Born in Scotland, the nation that gave us tartan, golf continues to exercise an unparalleled fascination for designers and fashion, to the point of influencing the shapes and volumes of this autumn season toward timeless classicism.
Natural shades, like beige and ecru’, meet the posher shades of blue, bottle green, burgundy red, coffee browns, mustard and cobalt. With a few eclectic touches: the principal guideline is that of effortless formality encapsulated in clothing and accessories. The polyhedral embrace of shapes and colours apparently in antithesis give this look a certain fascination, but always discrete, without excess.
This way, the stylistic proposals are able to infuse sobriety, for both men and women, and never interfere with the game on the course.
Pants and pullovers go for softer cuts, choosing a new-found, renewed moderation season after season, summarised in items perfect for the green (and elsewhere...) between one hole and the next, while outwear goes sleeveless in padded items capable of highlighting juxtapositions where the preciousness of the materials becomes ambassador of an ever-contemporary aplomb. For the feet, comfortable flat shoes, like suede sneakers in shades of beige. The must-have accessory? A checked tie as a tribute to the centuries-old tradition of a refined, nostalgic sport. A lesson in elegance, to bring to fruition right after the holidays

The action kicked off with Amadeus Polo Club making a powerful opening statement, leading 3-1 ½ goals in the first chukker. But from there, Saint-Tropez Polo Club mounted an exhilarating comeback, narrowing the gap.
By the second chukker, the home team was off to the races, leaving their rivals in the dust and clinching the 2023 Polo Rider Cup title in style.
In a league of his own, Lorenzo Chavanne earned the MVP title for the tournament, while his trusty steed 'Channel' was crowned the Best Playing Pony of the match. Martin
Aguerre H and Salvador Jauretche lit up the scoreboards, earning the coveted Best Scorers title, with Pedro Chavanne taking the Rookie of the tournament by storm.
The Challenge Cup found a new home with Araucaria Polo Club, sealing their dominance.
But the pulse-pounding action didn't stop there. El Rincón Polo Jose Ignacio emerged as the ultimate victors in a nailbiting showdown against Roma Polo Club, edging them out 11-10 in an extra chukker, and claiming the Shaugan Cup
Game Polo extends heartfelt gratitude to the Federation of International Polo (FIP), the French Polo Federation (FFP), the vibrant city of Gassin, all the awe-inspiring teams, devoted patrons and players, invaluable partners, dedicated suppliers, enthusiastic media, cherished guests, and the incredible staff who poured their hearts into making this edition of the Polo Rider cup yet another roaring success. Until next time, let the thunder of hooves and the clash of mallets continue to echo on the polo fields of destiny!
SCREAMS FROZEN IN TIME
by Keith FrancisWhether it's a 911 Carrera RSR screaming down the Mulsanne Straight at Le Mans or a Porsche 956 dancing through the iconic Porsche Curves, Schlegelmilch's photographs have a unique way of freezing the adrenaline-pumping moments that define the sport.
Schlegelmilch's work is more than just snapshots; it's a testament to his deep understanding of racing and the ability to anticipate the perfect shot. He knows the tracks, the cars, and the drivers intimately, and how to position himself in just the right spot to catch a Porsche racer as it roars past, its exhaust note echoing through history.
Porsche's endurance racing success in the 1960s was epitomized by the Porsche 917. Introduced in 1969, this fearsome machine became an iconic figure on the racetracks of Le Mans, Daytona, and the Nürburgring, the very track where Rainer W. Schlegelmilch’s lifelong passion for both Porsche and racing was born back in 1962.
In 1970 and 1971, the Porsche 917 secured back-toback victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Drivers like Steve McQueen, who immortalized the 917 in the film "Le Mans," added to the car's legendary status. The 917's domination of endurance racing was emblematic of Porsche's engineering excellence and unwavering commitment to pushing the limits of what was possible on the track, as beautifully captured through the lens of Rainer Schlegelmilch.
This beautiful publication in typical Taschen style offers a few glimpses into this world, immortalised through lens of Schlegelmilch Rainer. Moments of glory, ensuring that the legacy of Porsche racing in the sixties and seventies lives on in vivid detail.
Schlegelmilch
takes you to the real racing world, behind the glamour and into the dusty, oil-scented world of motor racing.

IN THE PURSUIT OF EXCELLENCE TO ELEVATE THE SENSES
by Alexandra BaaskeWhen Monaco based company SMGS - Société Monégasque de Gestion et Spiritueux was granted exclusive licenses for French wines, champagne, and liquors it also stepped into a path that is a tribute to the legacy of French viticulturists. Through this licensing collaboration involving a portfolio of registered brands with Monaco and Monte-Carlo provenance, Comte de Monte-Carlo champagne, Baron de Monte-Carlo wines and Monte-Carlo Gourmet liquors were born. This process, which spanned several years and involved collaboration with highly skilled experts, resulted in a remarkable collection.
Comte de Monte-Carlo reunites heritage from two family-owned champagne houses and seven generations of expertise in crafting champagne. This perfect fusion of two families contributed to the creation of a line of products using meticulous, ancestral and refined manufacturing methods to create blends of pure excellence. Philippe Melliard, a discerning champagne connoisseur and President and Co-Founder of the Comte de Monte-Carlo brand fell so strongly in love with the viticulture that he acquired the vineyard in the Champagne region. “Our shared vision accompanied by a collective ambition is to transcend a centuries-old and legendary history: Monaco and Champagne, that are two domains that have transformed their limitations into strengths. The Comte de Monte-Carlo brand epitomizes this supreme refinement upheld by the Principality.” Philippe Melliard explained.
Comte de Monte-Carlo has been sponsoring prestigious events such as the Monaco Yacht Show and Top Marques Monaco, exhibiting its „Limitless Spirit” that fuels constant research into new ways of celebrating the art of champagne. These international events held in Monaco provide the perfect platform to experience the fine quality of a selected range of champagnes in dream-like settings. Baron de Monte-Carlo’s, French wines (red, white and rosé) are elaborated by Eric Bonnet, Yves Cuilleron and the renowned winemakers of Ramatuelle, who have been awarded year after year by the world's greatest labels and gastronomic critics. Monte-Carlo Gourmet’s "Petits Desserts" liquors are produced in partnership with Liquoristerie de Provence, awarded for their excellence in French know-how "Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant" 2007. This exclusive range of champagnes, wines, and liquors is available in exclusive dining establishments and hotels as well as in retail - wine shops in Monaco and the French Riviera, or directly through SMGS that serves the discerning private clients. The ranges of exclusive wines from prestigious wine estates are available for distribution globally.
"We are delighted that SMGS knows how to convey our idea of striving for excellence in a way that enhances one's sensory experience, " said Erwann Guegan, Co-Founder and CEO of Comte de Monte-Carlo. "Our pursuit of excellence and passion have enabled us to co-create products that are truly unique and praised by the most discerning connoisseurs” he added.
Premier and Grand Cru champagnes and wines that are produced from the finest grapes by means of traditional techniques are perfect for those seeking unique heritage and fine quality. Moreover SMGS company is the exclusive distributor of wine estates, including the most important wines such as Grand Cru de Bourgogne and Grand Cru de Bordeaux. These wine estates and winegrowers represent the pinnacle of French and foreign wine production.
SMGS, headquartered in Monaco develops and distributes an exclusive range of champagne, wine, and liquors under the brand names such as Comte de Monte-Carlo, Baron de Monte-Carlo, and Monte-Carlo Gourmet and has been strengthening its offerings to become a leading player in the distribution of the finest French and foreign viticulture references.

In a world where declaring the number of followers and clicks has become an obsessive demand, it's important to understand that if you work and live in luxury, factors such as credibility and the genuine exclusivity of the venues where you are visible are truly the only things that matter. In luxury, less is more, as long as this "less" is the best one ;-)
