WEEK 9 READING: PERSPECTIVE AS SYMBOLIC FORM
Question 1: What are Durer’s rules for perspectival projection? The first rulefor perspectival projection is that all peroendicular of orthagonals gather at the vanishing point. The second rule is that there is a common vanishing point which is not depended on factors such as direction. The third rule is that equal dimensions when they recede.
Question 2: Describe homogenous space? Homogenous space is about a geometrical space where all the points joined together. This is a mathematical concept and can be calculated.

PERSPECTIVE SCENE 1 + 2
The object I choose are a spiral staircase, a artisan. I also create a scene of cockfight as Marco Polo relates. Apart from the book itself, I also add other objects based on my understanding. The background is the street in the middle ages. I add some animals in my work: an owl, two birds, a wolf who is looking at the artisan, and a small mouse under his chair.
The reading has talked about how Marco Polo sitted down and seen the young people go by. The object in this scene is a few young men and women. I put this sence into a forest. This is to show the fading of prosperity. I also add a few animals here, a gecko, a rabbit, a snacke and a few birds. I actually use the same kind of bird from Marco Polo’s memory, which was watching the cockfight, but now watching a sleeping tiger.

WEEK 10 READING: TITLE OF READING
Question 1: IWhat is the difference between autographic and allographic practice?
The difference between autographic and allographic practice is that one fully depends on the author, and the other one is about processing.
Question 2: Why do architects need new representational techniques? (Maximum 100 words) Architecture is full of complexity which can not only be indentify as either autographic or allographic. Architects need new representational techniques to build their ideas in their mind to the real life. One example is making 3D model.
