Sound effects, lights and a fantastic tale involve the visitor in the scented history of the XVII th century… between Beauvoir-en-Royans and Saint-Antoine-l’Abbaye… two sites and two places, with the province of Auvergne – where Melissa is still picked – as a backdrop. A night peregrination, an olfactory journey, a discovery of our heritage.

« DD and time treasures » by Eric Alfieri. In reference to the treasure of Saint-Antoine Abbey, Eric Alfieri’s choreography links up time and space through a dancing performance.

« Musiques au cœur des musées » concerts are given on Sunday afternoons in partnership with the National Conservatory of Music and Dance ( CNSMD ) in Lyon and the Department of Artistic Activities / Culture and Socialization of the Conseil Général de l’Isère. Since Antiquity, treasures have been poised between two worlds, material and immaterial. They relate to the tradition of ostentatious worship aimed at gaining the protection of a deity or a saint as well as enhancing the prestige of sanctuaries, church dignitaries or princes.

Inspired from the richly illuminated original manuscript ( Bibliothèque nationale de France, ms français 24399 ), the scenic account is punctuated with songs and musics from the medieval repertory.

« Seven last words of Christ on the cross / Seven mutterings and other breaths » Creation by the Elysée Quatuor and the Myriam Naisy Company. Walking through the abbey church, Myriam Naisy imagines with the Elysée Quatuor, a journey inspired by the Way of the Cross to evoke with humility the vastness of life, to the music of Haydn.
