Introduction

Goa, the tiniest state on the western coast of India, boasts golden pristine beaches, palm-fringed avenues, flavourful food, delicious Portuguese-influenced sweets, and warm, hospitable people. Also known as the Ibiza of India for its partying. A tropical paradise of flora and fauna, from the very famous 'almi' (mushrooms) endemic to its forests, that grow only on the red mud anthills, to the solar prawns that are fished immediately after the monsoons, Goa is unique. Tourists are also attracted to Goa for its cultural heritage - from the famous old Portuguese churches like Se Cathedral in Old Goa, the 16th Century Safa Masjid in Ponda and Shree Mangesha Temple in Mardol, the legendary Arvalem or Pandava Caves where the Pandavas of the Mahabharat fame lived, to its two unique festivals - Carnival and Shigmo. Goa plays host to many festivalsthe International Film Festival of India that promotes cinema, the Serendipity Art Festival, Sunburn Music Festival, to name a few. To showcase this varied heritage of culture, art, tradition, food, and people, in 2015 ItsGoa was born. The main aim was to make it the premier portal for all things Goa. For Shreedatta Sawant, fitness has always been more than just a passion; it has been a calling. His journey into the fitness world began during his college years, where he actively participated in powerlifting competitions. These early experiences instilled in him a deep appreciation for physical training and athletic discipline. Although he pursued a career in academia and currently serves as a professor in Computer Engineering, fitness remained a driving force in his life.

In 2023, with the unwavering support of his mother, Mrs. Snehal Subhash Sawant, and encouragement from his cousin, Mr.Manguesh Valvaikar, he transformed his lifelong passion into reality by founding FIT HUB – Fitness Imperium Training. "During Covid, I found myself experimenting with the making of different alcobevs, and Limoncello 24 was one of them," she recalls with a smile.

"The early days were full of the small joys of getting some things right and heartbreak over binning entire batches of trials!" Despite the setbacks, Lolita's enthusiasm never wavered, and each failure brought her one step closer to realizing her dream.

Unusual Spirits was born from Lolita's passion for experimentation and love for bold flavors. "I go out of my way to experiment with new ideas," she says, leading to a brand that redefines alcoholic beverages. Limoncello 24, a standout product, emerged after extensive trial and error.

The goal wasn’t just to create another drink but to craft something truly unique. "We are introducing a product with a completely new taste profile," Lolita explains. This distinct flavor, combined with an artisanal process, sets Unusual Spirits apart. However, launching a new product came with challenges—from sourcing the right ingredients to ensuring consistency. “Maintaining quality batch after batch requires immense care,” she shares.

Another challenge was catering to a niche market. "Our target group is niche right now, and they are quality and taste-conscious," Lolita points out.
