All of us have our obligations in day to day life. But at the end of the working day, the world views of some hunters and their fellow men differ. Quickly check the last lists and fix the appointments for the next few days with colleagues. And just as you say goodbye for that well deserved home time, your ways part. The majority go back to a heated home, enjoy social or medial entertainment and try to relax and regenerate from working day over night. For us hunters however, this is when the pure anticipation of seeing the most beautiful of all worlds of experience again begins. Even the quick change from work clothes to hunting clothes is the start of the anticipation. The journey to the hunting ground is the transformer for the change of worlds. Round the last bends on „civil roads“ and it‘s off to the forest road. In this phase, a well groomed parting is no longer important, and the concentration turns to contrast and the stalking route without further ado. Once you have arrived at the hunting ground, the play of the most worldly of all advanced civilisations begins – a red evening sky that could not be any more beautiful in any other place in the world. A backdrop of sounds of unparalleled acoustics and the first fresh gusts of wind that prepare you for a cool but possibly eventful night. Admittedly, the often adverse weather conditions make the nightly stay a challenge. But a hunter is made of sterner stuff. Also, the right equipment can bring enjoyment in these moments. It is an important companion in any situation that requires going bare knuckle into pure nature. The faithful hound also stays quiet with delight, and is ready for action at any time. Whether something will come across your path, or disappear into the wood waste again or whether your finger will stay straight or not, is part of a story that will only be cleared up at the start of the day. The transition back to the everyday world is sometimes a little difficult. Because, while everyone else appears at the work place well rested and well fed, we are jumping the last hurdles of the night-time adventures with a three day beard and bags under our eyes. And yet we carry unbridled joy with us and are beaming with our memories of another story for life.

In the new material ARTUTEX we have developed a high-tech material for spring and summer which can hardly be surpassed in the reliability stakes.
JAGDHUND has developed new workmanship which forms a barrier against the weather with its simple seam. The triple ROBUR sewing technique enables jackets and trousers made of ALPAK-LODEN to be produced without lining for the first time – this yields many advantages.
ARTUTEX is a double ripstop fabric with strong qualities in its unique design. In the truest sense of the word. It is distinguished by extremely high tearing, thorn, abrasion and mosquito bite strength. At the same time, it is breathable, low-noise and water and dirt resistant.
JAGDHUND clothing thus offers considerably greater freedom of movement and scores on the basis of its insulation capacity, weatherproofness, light weight and compactness.
Jagdhund Lodenmaterials. Our development process already begins with the selection of the materials we use. In doing so, we utilise the extraordinary qualities of animal wool which make our loden the most indispensable natural functional material. Our loden is thermally insulating, breathable and water-, snow- and dirt-resistant. The ruffled structure of the wool fibre traps a great deal of air. The air between the fibres reduces heat exchange within the material and thus has an insulating effect vis-à-vis heat and cold. This natural climatic effect enables the skin to remain dry and thus also warm. Water droplets drip off due to the wool grease lanolin, snow can easily be dusted off and dirt can be brushed off when dry. Live natural high-tech!

CAMPAK-LODEN
The finest sheep’s wool is processed together with alpaca wool in ALPAK-LODEN. This combination guarantees even greater strength and robustness. The inside is additionally roughened – the fleecy character thus attained provides particularly pleasant wearing comfort which dispenses with the use of linings. In turn, this enables additional weight reduction. The thermoregulating function creates a pleasant climatic zone on the body. Products made of ALPAK-LODEN guarantee a pure feeling of wool all year round.
CAMPAK-LODEN mixes the best sheep’s wool with camel hair. Thanks to the distinct robustness of camel wool CAMPAK-LODEN extends the spectrum of use and the durability of our products manifold. The qualities of camel hair offer valuable useful effects such as the climatic effect, increased abrasion resistance and a noticeably lighter weight. Step by Step. JAGDHUND stands for style and functionality. So, the JAGDHUND development team were able to passionately and innovatively develop and implement a range of materials and technologies, which give our products a unique added value.
Sympatex
Vibram sole
This brand name is a special piece of equipment in the JAGDHUND shoes. The Sympatex membrane is between the upper and the inner lining. It protects the foot against wetness, yet the shoe remains completely breathable. The effects of the weather cannot penetrate the shoe; inside, there is a pleasant microclimate.
This is the brand name for the abrasion resistant, water and winter proof shoe soles made of rubber. The Italian mountain climber Vitale Bramani developed and patented these together with Pirelli and Goodyear. The soles guarantee the best functions, and maximum comfort with a long life span.
VCP – Volume control plate Rubber coating Rubber reinforcement on the toe cap or around the whole shoe, to protect against impassable terrain, primarily sharp stones.
The volume control plate, positioned below the inner sole, balances out the weight from the right and left leg. Therefore, it provides cushioning over the whole area of the foot, regardless of the weight of the wearer. In addition, it is a passive thermal insert.
Metal hooks and eyes
Thinsulate This additional feature is a thermal insulation layer, integrated between the outer material and the inner lining, which protects the foot against the cold. The insulation has a double effect: On the one hand it traps air. The more air, the more efficient the insulation. On the other hand, it reflects the body’s own heat. The unique microfibres of the Thinsulate insulation are approx. 10 times smaller than other comparable fibres, which means that they trap air significantly better, and keep the feet warmer. This also means that more fibres are accommodated in the same space, and so reflect body heat more effectively, and with a minimum of weight.
Interior All JAGDHUND shoes are fitted with naturally soft aniline leather, from 0.9 to 1mm thick. It is very supple, breathable and particularly abrasion resistant. It gives the shoe a great fit, and excellent wearing comfort.
Corrosion free metal parts are extremely important for shoes. Rust would damage even the strongest leather. It is not only direct water, but also high levels of air humidity or tannin in the leather, which increase the risk of rust damage. The hooks and eyes on the JAGDHUND shoes are treated with HTR (high resistance treatment for a high level of durability). This coating protects the material against all influences of weather, and gives the metal additional tensile strength.
Upper material The upper material is pure nubuck leather. Nubuck is the name for fine suede leather, which is lightly polished on the grain side, and in this way attains a velvety character. This means that the leather becomes very soft to the touch, and the breathability is increased. Nubuck remains water resistant for a very long time after waxing. It is manufactured in two thicknesses: 2.6 and 2.8 mm for the models Venediger and Pötschen, and the thicknesses 2.0 and 2.2 mm for Brand, Kobernaussen and Schöpfl.
