Ronaldo Valdez, actor-comedian and father to singercomedian Janno Gibbs, is another veteran actor who remains visible in many TV series and films today. His career took off when he played across Susan Roces in Kaming Taga-Ilog. Balancing comedic timing with dramatic prowess, Ronaldo won Best Supporting Actor from FAMAS and Urian, among others. He has numerous films under his belt, including The Mistress with Bea Alonzo and John Lloyd Cruz. His most recent projects include the teleseryes Ikaw Lamang and Ina, Kapatid, Anak and the 2014 film Sa Ngalan ng Ama, Ina at Mga Anak with the Padilla clan.

Gloria Sevilla is the “Queen of Visayan Movies” and “The Swan of Visayan Cinema”, thanks to all her contributions to Visayan-made movies in the ‘50s and ‘60s. Her film Badlis sa Kinabuhi, which won her an Best Actress award plus a nomination at the Asian Film Festival, was shown at the Berlin International Film Festival. Her daughter, Nadia Veloso, inherited her acting skills, and in 1973, this mother-daughter tandem made history as they won the FAMAS Awards for Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress for Gimingaw Ako. Her son, Matt Ranillo III, is also a noted actor in his own right. Gloria keeps herself busy producing and acting. Miss World Philippines Valerie Weigmann on her ‘asawa’ Paolo Ballesteros: ‘He’s amazing’

fter winning the crown in the Miss World Philippines pageant last October 12, Valerie Weigmann said she is excited to prepare for the Miss World pageant to be held in London on December 14. The Fil-German host-actress said she never imagined winning in a beauty pageant even after joining Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition back in 2008. “Actually no, I never imagined this (laughs). People would come up tome after PBB and tell me, ‘Val, ikaw perfect ka as a beauty queen. Wala ka bang balak?’ Ako naman nung time na yun sinabi ko na wait muna kasi I had to learn Tagalog pa. Kaya nag-stop din ako. At saka I wanted to get to know the Philippines even more. I wanted to travel first and explore more. As a model, I also wanted to build my portfolio and other stuff. I told them to give me time to get even better and to find out who I really am at that time. Kasi bata pa ako nun eh. I needed the time to explore more I guess,” she shared during her visit to the Sun Cellular flagship store in Robinson’s Galleria mall in Ortigas city last October 21. The 24-year-old beauty queen said she has managed to maintain friendships with her former PBB housemates even after they had finished their stint on the popular Kapamilya reality show. “Rona Libby is still a very close friend of mine and also Nikki Uysiuseng and Priscilla Navidad also,” she said. When asked about her former “ka-love team” inside the house, Val said they are also still friends. “Si Ejay Falcon we are on good terms naman but of course he’s also busy in what he’s doing now, being an artista he has a lot of shoots, a lot of rakets. So ako naman, siyempre I’m very busy na with the other projects, we would see each other sometimes in some events but not as often anymore as before,” she shared. When asked if she was willing to work with him in a project in the future, Val answered matter-of-factly, “Why not? I’m still open for anything that comes up. Let’s just see what happens. I’m open for anything actually, whether it comes to hosting or acting I enjoy everything that I’m getting. Every opportunity that I see, let’s just see what will come up to me I guess. I’m still open naman for hosting and acting,” she added. Val has also been vocal of how her Eat Bulaga co-host Paolo Ballesteros encouraged her to join Miss World. “Yes he was part of it. It wasn’t only him but he was also one of the first who also talked to me about beauty pageants in general and that he loves also Miss World. Especially after Megan Young’s win, we saw also how amazing it is how much you can raise awareness of your personal beliefs and advocacies. Sabi niya, ‘Val, since into charity ka naman, it’s such a nice platform to raise awareness for your beliefs which I know you’re also very passionate about.’ So I was thinking of that and I talked to some of the people from Eat Bulaga And pumayag din sila. They said, ‘Kung yan ang gusto mo, go lang. We’re also very proud of you, that you want to use your voice to raise awareness for those who cannot speak up for themselves.’ The whole experience with the show ang saya-saya. Kasi it was also one of the hardest segments to be in kasi of course you’re exposed to a lot of people and a lot of sun but I didn’t mind. I enjoyed every minute of it since it also helped me to be the person who I am now. I got more confident, I got stronger, I got street-wise. I learned a lot during the whole experience,” she explained. Even though she is now busy with her duties as Miss World Philippines 2014, Val said she and Paolo regularly communicate. “We’re still in touch. We’re still texting. Paolo would give me advice, like even during the screening of Miss World he would give me advice like, ‘Val, sa makeup mo iwasan mo yung mga sparkly sparkly eyeshadows kasi nakaka-mature,’ mga ganun. Even beauty tricks and makeup transformation and I totally trust him. He’s amazing. He’s really good with makeup and the way he wants me also to be to always look good in pictures,” she admitted.

When asked about why he refers to her as his “asawa” on national television, Valerie did not seem bothered by the sign of affection and explained. “Kasi siyempre dahil sa segment naming na Ang Joke Ko sa show ‘di ba? It’s one of the best segments before. And during that time I was about to start as one of the hosts so it’s a great memory that we started together. We really got close during that time,” she said.

WHEN DOES MARVIN AGUSTIN PLAN TO GET MARRIED?

Actor Marvin Agustin talked about his children and plans on getting married on Tapatan ni Tunying. A doting father to his 9-year-old twin boys, Marvin said that they are the only ones who can make him move an important meeting or appointment to another schedule. He also said that since he was part of the Philippine Archery team, the twins have taken a liking to the sport and he takes them to his archery trainings. “Nakikita nila yung disiplina ko, nakikita nila yung pagmamahal ko sa sport,” he said. He further added that he will encourage them if ever they wanted to enter show business. However, he said that it is every parents dream to see their children to finish their studies so he wants the twins to focus on that. As a chef, Marvin referred to his children as his no. 1 customers. With his return to his mother network, he shared that he was quite happy with the project he was offered. What made Flordeliza his dream project was to be able to work once again with Jolina Magdangal. “Feeling ko niloloko ako nung mga kasama ko,” he related when he was told during a meeting that his former ka-love team is also making a comeback. “How can you say no to a great project?” he added. Although busy with his new TV show, Marvin said that his priority still is his restaurant businesses. The actor currently owns 50 restaurants and he admitted he has had his share of ups and downs in the business. “Full-time ko tong ginagawa. May pananagutan ako sa business partners ko, mga empleyadong sinama namin sa negosyo.” Marvin also shared he had an early interest in sales since his mother was a business woman herself. “Kahit rice cooker namin kaya niya ibenta,” he laughingly remembered. Marvin recalled too that he worked as a waited, video shop attendant, even a mascot, just to help his family make ends meet. He emphasized though that he is forever grateful to show business as this is where he got his capital for his first business venture. Currently single and available, Marvin described the woman he would want to be with in the future. “Magaling ako mag-alaga. Masarap din yun inaalagaan ka. Of course definitely (someone) who would love my kids like I love my kids, yun yung no.1 na gusto kong meron.” When asked when he is getting married, he replied, “Wala ako sa number. If that moment na dumating sa sarili ko, na tingin ko I could give everything already, (then that’s it), it’s just right now hati-hati. Ang dami ko pang gusting gawin sa maraming parte ng buhay ko.”

Sa Ikaw Lamang, partner ni Coco sina KC Concepcion at Kim Chiu. Sa Feng Shui 2 naman, first time niyang makakatrabaho sa pelikula si Kris Aquino at Direk Chito Rono. “Honestly, gusto ko sanang pumunta sa Boracay, Batanes, Sagada saka sa Palawan. Pero kailangang magtrabaho, eh,”pahayag niya sa amin. Pamilya lang daw if ever ang isasama niya sa bakasyon. No special someone. “Wala pa ngayon, eh. Raket muna ang hinahanap ko, eh. Kasi, darating naman po ‘yun, eh. Kasi sabi ko nga, nanggaling na ako sa mahabang-mahabang relasyon at ilang beses na relasyon. Kumbaga, ayokong sayangin ang pagkakataong ito at kung anong blessing na mayroon ako ngayon,” katwiran pa niya. Sa Nov. 1 ang birthday ni Coco at first time niyang magkakaroon ng malaking selebrasyon dahil magsi-celebrate din siya ng 10th year anniversary sa showbiz.

“Ang tagal ko na rin pala sa showbiz. Haha-ha! Ang tanda ko na rin pala,” natatawa niyang pahayag. “Biruin nyo, tumagal ako ng 10 taon,” hirit pa niya. Hindi talaga nagpa-party si Coco tuwing birthday niya, pero dahil nga anniversary niya sa showbiz kaya pumayag na rin siya. “Sa totoo lang, ayoko sanang magcelebrate, kasi hindi ako sanay, eh. Kung magkaroon man, family lang. ZANJOE MARUDO DENIES BEING UNFAITHFUL TO BEA ALONZO: ‘NEVER NAMAN AKO GUMAWA NG KALOKOHAN’

fter signing a new three-year contract with Star Cinema, Zanjoe Marudo said he is currently busy taping episodes for his new TV series Dream Dad. The Kapamilya actor is also excited about his first big screen project in 2015 with Angelica Panganiban titled Size Matters. “Ang tagal ko na siyang katrabaho, almost seven years. Sa Banana Split magkasama kami halos anim na taon na eh. Nakatrabaho ko din siya sa One More Try na drama naman. Tapos ngayon mukhang comedy na naamna ng gagawin namin so nakaka-excite kasi kumportable na kami sa isa’t isa. Alam na namin yung bawat bitaw or bato ng bawat isa, yung timing, so nakaka-excite na gagawin naman namin siya sa isang pelikula, hindi lang sa Banana Split,” he said during his contract-signing last November 12 at the Star Cinema office in Quezon City. As for his relationship with Bea Alonzo, Zanjoe said there is simply no truth to all the malicious rumors that they are already on the verge of breaking up. “Hindi ko alam eh, kasi busy ako (laughs). May ganung issue pala. Wala naman, hindi totoo yun, walang ganung nangyari sa relasyon namin. Masaya kami and chismis lang yun. Siguro may mga tao na gusto na maghiwalay kami kaya gumagawa ng mga ganung issue,” he explained. The 32-year-old actor said having disagreements in a relationship is normal for couples which is why he and Bea understand each other more. “Kasi naman sa relasyon kahit wala naman kayong pagaawayan or wala naman kayong problema, dahil hindi niyo lang nakikita ang isa’t isa minsan parang ang bilis na uminit ng ulo mo di ba may mga ganun? Kasi na-mi-miss mo. Tapos walang time, parang na-bu-buwisit ka na kasi hindi ka puwede, yung ganun. Maliliit na bagay lang,” he added. Zanjoe said the real hurdle their relationship has been facing is finding time for each other because of their busy work schedules. “Actually kasama na yun sa relasyon eh, yung time na yun. Kasi ang nangyari sa amin, parang after niya dun sa teleserye niya na halos nag-eeveryday sila, bigla naman ako nagsimula na halos every day din. Yun yung pinaka-naging problema lang niya,” he said. Zanjoe is hoping to find time for a vacation abroad with Bea during the holiday season. “Wala pa kasi tinatantiya pa namin kung papayagan ba ako or kung papayagan ba siya dun sa movie na gagawin niya. So tinatantiya pa namin kung ano yung dates na puwede kaming umalis kasi taon taon naman ginagawa namin yun. So ngayon hindi kami ganun ka-free. Dati kasi pag pinapaalam namin pinapayagan kami pero ngayon medyo malabo pa dahil may taping ako at siya may movie na ginagawa,” he said. I love you, my Mita.” She noted “My grandma will forever be my inspiration. She loved life, gave us all beautiful adventures. Because it all starts from within. If you’re happy from within, I think it will come naturally to make other people happy and being a source of inspiration, a source of light to others. You can’t fake happiness from within. I do a show practically everyday, making people happy. And it’s hard to do a show na masama ang loob mo, mahirap yun. ‘Pag hindi ka masaya, malalaman ng tao yun. You really can’t fake it,” he said. Apart from hosting, Sam said he is also into several food businesses. “Since the ber months, there’s been a lot of things going on especially with events. s part of this year’s batch of Cinema One Originals film stars, Jericho Rosales said he is very proud of his role as a gritty title character in the action-romance Red which was based on real events. “May pagka-bad boy yung role pero he’s a good-hearted character. Mabait si Red kasi story siya ng isang legendary underground Bacolod fixer, yung nag-aayos ng mga problema ng mga politico, mga mayayaman basically. Ang problema niya, na-frame up siya sa sarili niyang kliyente and then ang kailangan niya gawin is ibenta niya lahat ng mga meron siya at umalis siya sa Bacolod para ma-save niya yung love of his life. So it’s an action love story na medyo kumplikado. Ang message niya is may mga bagay na hindi kayang ayusin. Iba siya,” he said during his solo presscon for the movie held last November 6 at Bella Ibarra in Quezon City. The 35-year-old actor-singer said even though he is now married, there are still no limitations to what he can do onscreen, even love scenes. In Red, Echo has a love scene with co-star Mercedes Cabral. Echo said he does not hide anything from his wife model-host Kim Jones. “Lahat alam niya. Even before ko tanggapin yung film, alam niya yung aspeto na yun. She’s part of the decisionmaking sa bawat project na gagawin ko. Coming from Legal Wife, alam niya na hindi ako gumagawa ng mga bagay na pang-hanky-panky lang, mga ganun. Kasi bilang artista, we do real-life stories eh, of course nasa sa akin na yung sana kung may love scene sana kasal na sila, Filipino pa rin eh. Yun yung kulturang kinalakihan ko eh. Pero kung ipapakita mo yung totoong buhay yung storya ng isang tao, nagiging hindi siya makatotohanan kung may iiwasan kang mga bagay. Kasi may paraan naman sa paggawa eh,” he explained. When it comes to taking on roles, Echo said his biggest consideration has always been the story and the message it wants to deliver to the audience. “There are two things to consider. Number one is my conviction. Number two is the people na responsible ako. So pag tumanggap ako ng pelikula, ang limitation ko is kung gagawa ako ng bagay na hindi naman angkop sa mensahe. Ang limitation ko is pag gagamitin mo ang isang kissing scene or love scene para lang pumunta ang mga tao sa sinehan, because I’m not that kind of actor, parang ganun. Parang messenger ako eh, I’m a delivery boy so kailangan nandun ka sa sinabi mo, yung story. That’s my only limitation and Kim is the most supportive wife ever sabi niya. Sabi niya, ‘Pag tapos ka na diyan, umuwi ka na, mag-love scene tayo.’ (laughs) Puwede na ako mag-joke ng ganun kasi may asawa na ako,” he joked. Marriage has actually been a good step for Echo in terms of his career according to him. “Yung ABS-CBN ang ganda pa rin ng mga roles na binibigay nila sa akin. Hindi yung porke kasal na ako hindi na ako puwede gumawa ng mga ganyan. Ganun pa rin eh. Sumabay yung pagiging kasal ko dun sa growth ko as an actor. Nung naramdaman ko na tapos na ako sa mga ibang bagay. Of course pag mga pang-12 to 17 years old hindi na talaga puwede (laughs) pero puwede pa rin ako gumawa ng rom-com. It’s fun pa rin. Wala naman akong limitations na nangyari. And even the people, yung mga nag-susupport sa akin gusto pa rin nila na makita ako sa ganun,” he shared. With a lovely wife and a busy career, is Echo thinking of having a baby soon? “When I get asked, ‘When are you going to have a baby?’ I don’t think we can because our relationship right now is our baby, kumbaga yun yung inaalagaan namin ngayon kasi I still have to learn a lot about Kim. She still has to learn a lot about me. We just figured out yung mga cultural differences namin, ganyan ganyan. We just decided na gusto namin magsama kasi pareho kaming sira ulo (laughs). Pareho kami ng direction. Pero right now there’s this big ball of excitement for what’s about to happen because the foundation is right,” he said. Kahit nga ako nagulat din na magagawa ko ‘yon, eh,” nangingiting kuwento ni Echo. Si Jericho ang bida sa Red and he will be playing a fixer na madalas nagmumura. Being a Christian, hindi ba siya nagdalawang-isip na tanggapin ang pelikula? “Artist ako, eh. It’s just a role,” katwiran ng aktor. “Saka matagal ko nang gustong makagawa ng action scenes. Dito sa pelikula namin, natupad yung pangarap ko,” dagdag pa niya. Wala rin daw isyu sa faith niya ang pag-portray niya ng character ni Red. “Regarding my faith, being a Christian naman, I’m not here to preach but to be an example. Pero as an actor, kailangan ng real stories, eh. Kailangang mag-portray ng character. “Si Red kasi, medyo parang fictional. Pero sa story, maraming reality like yung nagmamahal siya, gumagawa siya ng madaming mali, tapos yung ending ng story is a typical risk kung ano ang klase ng buhay mo,” paliwanag pa niya.

Aminado si Echo na first time niyang ginawa sa pelikula ang magmura nang magmura. “Hindi talaga ako sanay. (Laughs) Kilala nyo naman ako, napaka-soft spoken ko, pero kailangang gawin, eh... Nag-usap kami ni Direk Jay (Abello) na dapat gumawa kami ng iba na mahi-hit yung intensity na gusto amin and not that (puro mura). Pero siyempre, may mura-mura pa rin sa eksena. Hindi naman ako ‘yon, eh, si Red ‘yon,” he said. Ano ba ang ginawa niiyang paghahanda sa medyo off-beat na role niya sa pelikula? “Hindi naman kailangan ng masyadong paghahanda. Pag-aaralan mo lang naman yung character niya (Red) tapos kung saan siya nanggagaling. Sa tingin ko, okey naman ang kinalabasan,” pagmamalaki pa ng aktor. Bilang isang award-winning actor, muli kayang mapapansin ng kritiko at ibang award-giving bodies ang pagganap niya sa bagong indie film tulad ng nangyari sa Alagwa noon kung saan nanalo siyang best actor sa Gawad Urian? “Pag gumagwa kasi ako ng movie, hindi ko iniisip na dapat galingan ko dio kasi puwede akong magkaaward dito. Hindi ganu’n, eh. Tira lang ako nang tira. Ginagawa ko lang nang maayos ang trabaho ko. “Kung mapansin at ma-nominate, siyempre nakakaproud talaga. Pero wala akong conscious effort na dapat galingan ko sa pag-arte para sa award,” very humble niyang pahayag. REVEALS XIAN LIM IS REPLACING JOHN LLOYD CRUZ ON ‘BRIDGES’

fter refusing to comment about the issue a few weeks back, Bridges star Jericho Rosales finally confirmed that John Lloyd Cruz will not be joining their project. “Of course, I’m very, very sad but I understand certain things, very important details I can’t mention. Pero, of course, the opportunity. I’m talking about ‘yung oportunidad na makatrabaho si John Lloyd, hindi ba? Maraming tao ang nalungkot,” Jericho told reporters on Tuesday after the press conference of 2014 Cinema One Originals Festivals. Noting that John Lloyd has “valid reasons,” Jericho stressed that he respects the former’s decision. “I respect the guy so much. It’s just a project. Actors have the right to say yes, the right to say no. It depends kung ano ang sitwasyon at panahon,” he said. Jericho even pointed out that he had also turned down many projects in the past and that “Some people say na sayang ‘yung project, bakit mo pinakawalan mga ganoon. But I have my reasons and I’m happy now and I’m doing this.” When rumors about John Lloyd’s withdrawal from the soap began making the rounds, speculations as to who could be his replacement also arose. To end the guessing, Jericho revealed that he heard that it was Xian Lim who was tapped to take on the role. “Xian kasi approached me and said, ‘You know excited ako na makatrabaho ka it’s an honor’ sinabi niya pang ganoon,” he recalled. Yet despite finding a replacement actor, the 35-year-old star related that their taping is currently put on hold following the consecutive holidays. “Medyo naka-pause kami ngayon, on hold kami ngayon, kung ‘yun ang gusto niyong malaman. But Xian expressed his excitement and I heard he’s been working hard on the role. So para sa akin as an actor I will give you my support,” he explained. Jericho will also share the screen with his former The Legal Wife co-star Maja Salvador. The Red actor said, “Very excited kasi si Maja na naman ang kasama ko alam mo naman kung gaano kakalog at kagaling ‘yon. At direk Dado Lumibao at ‘yung gumawa ng The Legal Wife, same team.”

lthough reports about Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla headlining the upcoming remake of Pangako Sa’Yo remain unconfirmed, the soap’s original star Jericho Rosales approved of the rumored lead choices. “I’m excited. Excited ako for everybody. I’m sure that alam ng ABS na siguro gusto talaga ng fans na may remake especially since ang dami rin talagang fans ni Daniel at Kathryn ‘di ba? So parang perfect combination, parang ganon. Excited ako to watch it,” Jericho said in an interview at the 10th Cinema One Originals Film Festival press conference on November 4. While The Legal Wife actor believes that he is in no position to say who should be part of the cast, he sees Kathniel, with their strong presence, as perfect the team to reprise Yna and Angelo’s roles. “Pero kung tatanungin niyo ako, they deserve to be Angelo and Yna kasi ang lakas lakas ng love team nila. And Pangako Sa ’Yo ang foundation nu’n is love story eh,” he said.

But the actor-musician was quick to add, “But let’s not forget Madame Claudia and let’s not forget Amor Powers and si Governor Eduardo Buenavista, ‘yung love triangle na ‘yun. Si Kathniel solved na ‘yan eh, ‘yung tatlo which was also noong time na ‘yun, ‘yun ang pinagkakaguluhan ng mga tao.” As of the moment, no final casting has been made for the soap but a lot of names have already cropped up as potential stars, like Kathniel for Yna and Angelo’s roles and Jodi Sta. Maria as Amor Powers. Jericho had a few casting suggestions of his own. “A few weeks ago nakita ko si Mylene Dizon sa set namin and magkasama kami, and ‘Bagay sayong maging Amor Powers.’ Siguro si Carmina [Villaroel] as Madame Claudia. Hindi ko pa alam kung sino ‘yung lalaki, si Eduardo, hindi ko masasabi kung sino,” he said. “But it would be nice siguro kung ‘hindi nila masyadong i-pe-peg doon sa original cast and I’m sure ginagawa na nila ‘yan. Iba na tayo ngayon eh, kailangan timely. Kailangan may feel ng 2014.” Apart from the endless curiosity about the show’s cast, reports have it that Jericho turned down an offer to be part of the soap, an issue which he confirmed. “I’m sure si Kristine (Hermosa) natanong din, natanong din ako for a role but I had to say no because ang decision ko talaga is gusto ko lang manood. Gusto kong manood ng show na hindi ako involved,” Jericho explained. In parting, the Red star who will be portraying the role of a Bacolod-raised fixer, gave a few tips for Kathniel, should they really be tapped to be part of the phenomenal soap. “Have fun, enjoy lang… Just try to stay professional on the set and always love the people around you and always think about the people you inspire,” he said. “Kami ni Tin ‘yun ang [iniisip namin eh]. Although ang dami naming pinagdaanang hirap noon, sa pag-shoot noon. Kasi malayo, putikan, ang daming challenges, name it andiyan ‘yun lahat. But you know, nag-e-enjoy kami kasi nakikita naming ‘yung effect ng show namin. So it reached, Malaysia, Africa, China, kung saan-saan umabot. So karamihan po sa mga ninong, ninang mga entorurage, mga non showbiz po talaga, mga friends form church, from way back high school.” Pero siniguro naman ni Yeng na ang mga kaibigan niya mula sa show business ay imbitado. obe Paras is the second son of two-time PBA Most Valuable Player Benjie Paras. Kobe played for La Salle Greenhills before deciding to pursue his career in the United States. He represented the Philippines as part of the Batang Gilas U-18 team that placed fifth in the FIBA Asia Championship last August. Earlier in October, he announced that he is UCLA-bound for high school.

Kobe plays for the LA Purple Ghosts, an elite team of teens coached by his Cathedral High coach William Middlebrooks. High school season will start in January in the US. For now, Kobe is set to play at the Staples Center in the next few days for the LA Purple Ghosts . His ultimate dream is to play for the NBA and Filipinos all over the world are rooting for him. n The Buzz, Cristine Reyes revealed more details about her pregnancy. Earlier today, November 16, the actress announced her pregnancy after her production number on ASAP. Cristine said she kept mum about her pregnancy during the first trimester because she wasn’t sure that she and the baby were “a hundred percent safe.” The doctor, according to Cristine, advised bed rest because she was bleeding. Cristine also said that’s the reason why she could not work that time. The first person who learned about her pregnancy was Ali Kahtibi, her boyfriend and the father of her baby. Cristine recounted how she and Ali did a pregnancy test twice in a day. They did it in the morning and were saddened because they tested negative. In the evening, when they repeated the test, they were beside themselves with joy because the result was finally positive. They then shared the good news to their family and friends. Luckily for them, both their family and friends respected their decision to keep things under wraps and kept their secret well. Cristine said they were very happy with the result because the pregnancy, contrary to speculations, “was planned.” Host Boy Abunda also disproved talks that Cristine and Ali had only been two months together before Cristine got pregnant. Boy said, I met him (Ali) as early as 2012.” Cristine, as of now, is craving ginataang bilo-bilo. “Yung may langka,” Cristine added. In the first few months, she said, she craved turon and pizza. Ali’s family has been very supprotive of Cristine. “Yung family niya, lahat ng food binibigay sa akin .” The actress shared that Ali’s mom is taking good care of her. Asked whether she had given a thought to what her plans are after her pregnancy, Cristine said, “babalik at babalik po ako (sa pag-aartista.) However, his older brother Jeric would ask him to play and join him in school try-outs. His brother would even help him when they were teammates back in high school. The 31-year-old celebrity ambassador for the brand also says that even if people did the math, it would be impossible for him to have fathered the teenager. “Kasi medyo may edad na (yung bata), nung kinuwenta ko parang lumalabas 15 years old ako nun. Malabo rin mangyari (laughs),” he admits. Lloydy says that even if he and the teenager were to meet face-to-face, he would have a clear conscience in saying he is not the parent. “Mahirap naman yun kasi hindi naman tayo nagmamalinis pero bilang lalake, dapat ata malalaman mo kung meron. After finishing the Star Cinema movie The Trial, John Lloyd Cruz said that he has more free time now to spend with family especially since his contract with ABS-CBN is ending soon. The 31-year-old actor said he will take the time to consider what his career options are before renewing with the Kapamilya network. “Like I said, hindi ako bumabata so talagang every decision that I make, expect it to be harder, mas may bigat, not bigat na parang hirap ka sa kalooban mo pero parang mas maingat lang. Kailangan mong maging mas maingat kasi you’re talking about the next two or three years of your life.
