ABS-CBN network bagged the biggest honor as the Best TV Station during the 29th PMPC Star Awards for Television awards night held last December 3, 2015 at Kia Theater. Various Kapamilya shows and artists also won during the awards night. Bridges of Love was hailed as the Best Primetime TV series and its star Maja Salvador was given the Best Drama Actress award. Kapamilya stars Judy Ann Santos and Sunshine Cruz were awarded the Best Single Performance By An Actress award for their respective Maalaala Mo Kaya episodes. Since the 1980s, the world has lost a number of lives to AIDS (Autoimmune Deficiency Syndrome). Many people battle day in and day out the effects of the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). Because of the stigma associated with the disease, some people would rather hide the fact that they are living with the virus than contribute to the global progress against the epidemic by making their voices heard. But some, much like the celebrities listed below, want to make a change and toincrease awareness of AIDS and HIV and correct the misconceptions that go with it.

With our highly conservative society, it is not easy for a Filipino to reveal that he has the virus highly associated with promiscuity, filth, “gayness”, and other related stigma. Not for lifestyle writer Wanggo, son of award-winning filmmaker Peque Gallaga. In 2008, the then 28-year-old went public with his HIV infection. He was open about how he possibly contracted the virus--unprotected sex during his “wilder” days. “I knew that this was risky, and I knew I might get sick, but I also thought that HIV and AIDS only happened abroad. Until you actually know someone who has it, it doesn’t seem real,” narrated Wanggo in an interview with IRIN in 2009. Since then, he has used his writing and influence to rally awareness about HIV/AIDS. “I want people to learn from what happened to me, be smart, and insist on their right to have protected sex,” continued Wanggo in the IRIN article.

“I’m here to admit that I am in fact HIV-positive. And I have to put a stop to this onslaught, this barrage of attacks and of sub-truths and very harmful and mercurial stories that are about the [alleged] threatening the health of so many others, which couldn’t be farther from the truth,” disclosed 50-year-old Sheen in an NBS talk show in November 2015. He also revealed that he has been living with the virus for four years and has been taking an antiviral “cocktail” of HIV drugs. Because of the medication, his virus load (amount of HI-virus in the blood) has significantly decreased and is far from developing into AIDS. HIV attacks the immune system by destroying white blood cells, which protects the body from infection. AIDS is the final stage of this infection and, like Sheen, not everyone who has HIV advances to that stage. Because of the publicity, more and more people accept that HIV is, in fact, not a life sentence despite its permanence in the bloodstream.

Basketball’s all-time great made an emotional public disclosure about being infected by the virus in 1991. It affected his NBA career but Johnson has used his popularity to inform people about HIV/AIDS. He has thrived since through medication. “I’m the blessing because people were talking about it, they ran out and got tested at that time,” he told CNN in 2013. “Then I’m the curse, because people now say, ‘Oh well, HIV is nothing, because if I get it, I can be like Magic. He’s doing good, and I can do the same thing he’s doing or take the same medicine he’s taking and I’ll be okay.’ But what they don’t understand, in 22 years, millions of people have died.”

Cherry Pie Picache’s mother Zenaida Sison was fatally stabbed in her home in Quezon City on September 19, 2014, at the height of a typhoon. Cherry Pie had tried contacting her mother to no avail so she went to the house and had her driver climb over the gate to check. The body was found on the second floor of the house. Her houseboy, Michael Flores, had broken into the house at 3 a.m., intent on robbing the 75-year-old woman of her money and her jewelry. When Sison woke up during the robbery and started shouting for help, Flores killed her using a knife from the kitchen and a piece of wood from the broken door. Flores was eventually caught and charged

ENDINGS SHOCKING CELEBRITY-RELATED DEATHS

Pops Fernandez’s father Eddie Fernandez had some brushes with the law prior to his death in 1982.

In 1969, he and fellow actor Berting Labra were imprisoned for murder. The actor had allegedly opened fire on a vehicle, killing businessman Renato Pangilinan. Actress Rosanna Ortiz, who was with Pangilinan in the car, became a star witness in case which sent Eddie to prison for 13 years.

After his release, Eddie tried to restart his acting career but reportedly got involved in drugs instead. He eventually died in a drug-related shootout with the National Bureau of Investigation and the Philippine National Police.

The death of Nida Blanca shocked many because it was so unexpected and so violent an end for one of the most loved celebrities of the ‘50s.

In 2001, Nida was found dead from 13 stab wounds to the head, neck, and torso. She was last seen leaving the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) offices on the 33rd floor the day before her body was discovered inside her car parked in the Atlanta Centre building in San Juan. The case baffled the police at first since the veteran actress had no obvious enemies. Eventually, a hitman named Philip Medel confessed to the murder. And the person who hired him? Nida’s husband, former singeractor Roger Lawrence “Rod” Strunk. Nida had supposedly written him out of her will and was planning to separate from him. He fled to the US in 2002 on the pretense of visiting his ailing mother and successfully evaded prosecution and a few extradition attempts to bring him back to the Philippines. On July 11, 2007, Strunk apparently committed suicide by jumping off the second floor hotel balcony (at a distance of approximately 20 feet) in Tracy, California. Medel died in prison in 2010.

Last November 29, Teresa Hernandez Yap, the mother of Pastillas Girl Angelica Jane Yap, was shot in the head by an unknown assailant. Teresa was eating at a roadside eatery in Caloocan with one of her daughters when a man approached her and shot her. She managed to make it to the hospital before succumbing to the gunshot wound. Relatives revealed that Teresa had been receiving death threats, perhaps in relation to her work as a barangay kagawad. As of now, police are still conducting an investigation and reviewing CCTV footage of the incident. Sad and shocking as this incident was, this isn’t the first time when a well-known personality had to face a tragic and violent loss of a loved one. Here is a list of celebrities who experienced similar tragedies. The case of Ruby Rose Barrameda Jimenez, Rochelle Barrameda’s sister, is perhaps one of the most brutal murders to hit the headlines in recent years. Ruby Rose went missing on March 14, 2007 after leaving their Las Pinas home to make a deposit at the bank and to visit her two kids who were staying with her estranged husband Manuel Jimenez III.

Her sister Rochelle appeared on all the TV shows she could to plead for help in locating her sister whom she said was a battered wife. It would take two years before the family would learn what had happened to Ruby Rose.

In June 2009, a witness named Manuel Montero revealed to the police where the body could be found: in a steel drum off the shores of Navotas. Suspectturned-witness Robert Ponce later revealed how lawyer Manuel Jimenez Jr., Ruby Rose’s father-in-law, had ordered him and two other men to abduct Ruby Rose and take her to the offices of BSJ Fishing and Trading Co. in Malabon. The company was owned by Lope Jimenez, the uncle of Ruby Rose’s husband. Ponce said he was later tasked to place Ruby Rose’s lifeless body in a steel drum and pour cement over it, sealing the body inside. The drum was later tossed into the waters off Navotas.

To date, the case is still pending in court with no end yet in sight for the grieving Barrameda family.

17-year-old Sofia Andres’ first lead role was when she starred in the 2014 film entitled, Relaks, It’s Just Pag-ibig opposite young actor Inigo Pascual. Herbert Bautista Herbert played Gilbert, a boy from a lower middle class family whose very enterprising mother would sell anything and everything to make an extra peso. He dreams of the girl next door and hopes to win her heart. Herbert managed to parlay his showbiz career into a fruitful political one. Starting out as part of youth organizations, he eventually made his way to vice mayor then mayor of Quezon City. If there were a remake: Robi Domingo could play Gilbert but he has preferred to concentrate on hosting more than acting for now. While he’s not an actor yet, Jimboy Martin could totally play a boy who grows up in the streets.

Raymond Lauchengco Raymond played Arnel who loves classic movie and musicals. He’s a rich boy who falls in love with a girl from the wrong side of tracks. Raymond’s career steered into a more musical direction, releasing several albums. He also sang one of the most popular songs from the Bagets soundtrack, “Farewell,” which has become a theme song of sorts for graduation ceremonies. He continues to perform in shows here and abroad. He also does event direction for live and corporate affairs. He’s also launched a career in photography as well. If there were a remake: Sam Concepcion could be this generation’s Arnel with his musical background. And if he were a lot older, Darren Espanto certainly has the vocal chops to carry out the role of a musical-loving teen as well.

JC Bonnin JC played Topee, the son of a movie star mom who had little time for him. Maybe he was searching for a mother figure which us why he ends up in the arms of a much older woman. JC had a successful career after Bagets, but it didn’t last long. By 1987, JC left showbiz when he got involved in alcohol and drugs and he found the need to search for a deeper meaning in life. JC became a pastor based in London, got married to a British woman with whom he has seven kids. JC is now a single parent raising his kids in the US where he continues his work for a non-denominational church. If there were a remake: Jerome Ponce could play the young Topee. He’s got that shy, innocent boy smile down pat.

William Martinez William played the role of Tonton, the kuya of the group. Tonton starts out being more concerned about being with the in crowd than he does about his grades. While he’s the eldest one in their barkada, he still had a bit of growing up to do especially when it came to relationships. All that changes when he gets involved in a terrible accident and loses the love of his life. Then 21-year-old William met justturned-16 Yayo Aguila on the set of Bagets. He and Yayo got married, had four kids, and eventually separated after 25 years. William suffered a stroke some years ago, but is slowly getting back into showbiz. If there were a remake: If they were to do a remake of Bagets, then Gerald Anderson could pull off this role as the de facto leader of young barkada. Daniel Padilla has the same kuya vibe and in his interviews he’s shown how much of a doting brother he is to his younger siblings. If he were a few years older, he could have worked.

Aga Muhlach Then 14-year old Aga played Adie who also had a dalliance with a much older woman. In one of the movie’s most iconic scenes, he learns the value of giving a foot massage in of all places, a swimming pool. Bagets was the movie that launched Aga’s career. His be-dimpled smile, good looks, and dance moves launched a few more successful teen-oriented films before he took on more mature roles. In 1986, he became a father at 17 after it was revealed that he had gotten Janice de Belen pregnant. His career continue to flourish and he has remained an A-list actor to this day If there were a remake: Enrique Gil also has the heart-melting smile and dance moves that made Aga a teen idol.

Caparas in 1970’s, This series revolves around Joaquin Apacible starred by Robin Padilla, It’s about an assassin whose last mission didn’t go according to his plan and was sent to prison. Those plot twists-and-turns and the intense action sequence that impressed us which led to an impressive ratings for the show’s timeslot.

Juan is halfaswang fated to rule over the mythical creatures set on taking over the human race. However, his human mother is a tagabantay an acient lineage of guardians who protect humans from the aswangs. Why we love it... The show delved into the Filipino mythology and religion to build a well-rounded and immersing fictional world. And there was this romance between Roasario played by Erich Gonzales.

Mulawin Element: Half Human, Half Bird It’s a story about our country that was once inhabitated by a race of flying humans slashed eagles called Mulawins that lived peacefully beside humans. Over the time, human population grew in numbers destroying Mulawins homes and forcing them to live in the mountains. BEA ALONZO SHARES THE ‘MAGIC’ BEHIND HER TEAM-UP WITH JOHN LLOYD CRUZ A Second Chance is breaking box-office records and Bea Alonzo is beyond overwhelmed. But it was not a smooth sailing journey for Bea for according to the actress, making the movie in a short span of time has been challenging. Despite some challenges, Bea remarked that with the help of director Cathy GarciaMolina and the film writers, they were able to create and produce a beautiful movie for the viewing public.

“Maybe its our love for the craft and siguro ‘yung value na hindi namin kinailangan na i-disillusion ang mga tao. We were very sincere from the first day na naging love team kami. We never had to pretend na we were together, na we’re falling in love for each other. Robin Padilla returns to ABS-CBN. Two years since he left ABS-CBN, the Bad Boy now Good Boy of the Philippine Cinema, Robin Padilla is now back in the Kapamilya network. Robin, on Wednesday, signed a two-year exclusive TV contract with ABSCBN. Fans of the action star can expect him to make two seryes and a sitcom which he considers his breather whenever he makes serious projects. Instead of wielding guns, Robin wants to take on father roles on his future projects. “Ang napagusapan lang namin ng ABS (CBN) ‘yung family-oriented. The actress is thankful for being nominated by the award-giving body. “I’m very, very happy to be one of the nominees for Best Actress because you know every recognition is a blessing from God and another affirmation that I did well last year for TV so I thank Star Awards for that nomination. In the 13-episode series, Ryan plays the role of a cab driver and show host who will pick up random passengers and drive them to their destination while quizzing them on general knowledge. “Pangarap ko talaga noon maging driver ng Cash Cab. I saw this program a long time ago sa Discovery channel pa lang bago pa gawin yung version ni Ollie Pettigrew na AXN Cash Cab Asia. Nung tinawagan ako to be part of Cash Cab Philippines that literally was a dream come true,” he admitted during AXN’s Cash Cab Philippines presscon held last December 9 at Aracama restaurant in BGC, Taguig. During their last day of taping for the show’s first season, Ryan said his family surprised him by being his passengers. “They actually did that as a surprise for me during the last day of filming. It was fun. I needed that. We shot the whole season for about two weeks and then everything was done from the afternoon after I did Eat Bulaga hanggang madaling araw so the pressure was on, everybody had a deadline to meet and they did that to me on the last day so it was such a breather for me. One of the things I didn’t do was break character when my family boarded because I really wanted them to experience why daddy was missing for the past two weeks. When they played and they actually won money, nakaipon eh, nakabangko yung P10,000. They only got about P500 from their winnings kasi bumili sila ng yoghurt that night so pinaalam nila yun kasi they won the cash for themselves,” he shared. With his wife Judy Ann Santos in her last month of pregnancy, Ryan said they are ready for the newest member of their family to arrive any day now. “She’s going to be a girl. Her name is Juana Luisa. Her nickname is going to be Luna. Nag-pack na kami ng go bag the other day. I arrived from Las Vegas last Monday and she packed last night while I was in taping. It’s anytime now but the real date given by the doctor is December. So pag tsumamba, Happy New Year or Merry Christmas. Lucho was a week in advance. But now we’re ready and any time is a go,” he said. Ryan admitted that having another child after baby Lucho was something that he and Juday did not really plan. “We started out not really thinking of how many kids to have. And then when we had two all of a sudden my wife is like, ‘Hey you know what, let’s go for another one.’ Aangal pa ba ako di ba? So na-bless na kami ulit with a third child and we’ll see. They say that the third child is a game changer because this is the time that the kids actually form their own world apart from their parents so we’re preparing for that and we’re preparing for the arrival of General Luna! (laughs). Mukhang itong babaeng bunso general yan eh,” he said. For the holidays, the Agoncillo household will have slightly different plans from previous years. “Well it’s going to be planned as usual. Only this time for New Year we’re probably not going to do the whole fireworks thing and the whole preparing for dinner thing. Baka magcheck in na lang kami, kung hindi sa hotel sa hospital (laughs),” he added. When his pregnant wife posted a photo on Instagram of her doing a headstand, many concerned fans sent messages of disapproval and questioning her choice of workout. Ryan said he supports and trusts his wife when it comes to taking care of her body and their new baby. “I’m married to superwoman you know so I’m not worried. I kind of excited once in a while but she’s a superhero. I saw that picture and I saw how people reacted on Instagram. You know what, every pregnancy is different and as we get older we also prepare ourselves. As we get older, we tend to make ourselves fitter for our jobs right? And being a pregnant woman she has to make herself stronger. She had Lucho five years ago. She was a lot younger then. Her preparations included yoga. So now we’ve advanced through the years and we had to make ourselves stronger this time around. This morning actually nag-workout kami magkasabay pa. Parang may mga hindi na siya nagagawa kasi siyempre iba na yung kalagayan niya from the last time she took that picture of a headstand. But rest assured we’re doing everything with a professional on board and clearance,” he said. IS ALEX GONZAGA REVEALS SHEST ‘EXCLUSIVELY DATING’ A LAW UDENT Alex Gonzaga finally revealed a few details about the man he is currently dating. “Exclusively dating, hindi pa [in a relationship]. Nagde-date siguro mga lima o apat na buwan pa lang. Ipapakilala ko siya sa takdang panahon. Nag-aaral pa siya, nag-second course siya nagla-law,” she shared in an interview at the Buy Now, Die Later presscon. Do her parents approve of the new guy she is dating? “Si mommy at daddy ko naman kasi pag merong nagpapakilala sa akin at kung merong nagpapaligaw sa akin sila agad ‘yung maga-approve. Apart from her mom’s concert, Dingdong said Jayda is already excited about being chosen as the opening act for the US boy band The Vamps who are arriving end of January. “Preparing for The Vamps gig, involved siya sa kung paano areglo nung kanta, kung papaano yung labas niya, ganun siya ka-metikoloso. She knows what she wants and what to choose from. She asks us pero alam niya ang gusto niya. She can sing. She can dance. She can play the guitar and the piano,” he said. Veteran broadcaster Korina Sanchez-Roxas spoke for the first time about the controversy surrounding Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla’s endorsement of her presidentiable husband Mar Roxas. KathNiel’s endorsement of the Liberal Party standard-bearer drew mixed reactions from the netizens and from their fans. Turns out, Korina is well aware of the netizens’ reaction over the endorsement and to that she said, “Ano, it was expected. Lahat naman ng tao, may manok eh. Hindi naman ‘yan 100 percent kay Mar,” she said in an interview with PEP. She even stressed that “Expected na nila ‘yun. Kinausap na rin namin sila na baka magkaroon kayo [ng haters].” But, Korina reiterated that based on their “digital analytic mechanism” the reaction was “80 percent positive for KathNiel.” “But according to our analytic, we have a digital analytic mechanism, it’s 80 percent positive for KathNiel.” The social media posts that have been circulating have been bashing the Teen Queen for endorsing Mar. Moreover, the said posts even claimed that the Pangako Sa’Yo is no longer part of Iglesia ni Cristo as she’s already doing things that are against their religion such as endorsing a candidate.

“It’s a constitutional right, it’s freedom of speech, freedom of choice. And that is our right, voting,” she said. The Rated K host even added, “So, constitutionally, you can’t really make bawal unless nagpapabawal ka. I think na pinagbabawal ng Star Magic. They discourage [them]. But then, in the end, I’m very thankful to Johnny Manahan and Mariole Alberto. Her last album, Hulog Ng Langit, was released in 1999. “Na miss ko kasi talaga naman first love ko naman ‘yung singing. Even my husband knows that so sa ngayon na kinausap ko nga siya sabi ko ‘Honey I think okay na malalaki na rin naman ‘yung kids natin kung bibigyan ko naman ng panahon ‘yung sarili ko and ‘yung kaligayahan ko rin sa pagkanta’ so I think wala namang problema sa kanya okay lang sa kanya.” Donna also said that what inspired her to go back to recording is that her children were willing to support her and now understand her. She also stressed that it took her some time to get back because her priority was her children. “Sobrang hindi talaga mawawala sa akin ‘yung love ko sa singing so gusto ko talaga even before pa. Kaya lang ayokong pumasok sa paggawa ng album or whatever kung hindi pa handa yung pakiramdam ko na iwan yung mga anak ko maliliit pa eh. Ngayon okay na silang iwan kumbaga sobrang nakatatak na ako sa kanila, hanap-hanapin nila ako ganun kasi sobrang attached sa ’kin ‘yung mga kids ko so pwede na ngayon sila naman ang nagsabi na ‘It’s okay mommy’ suportahan daw nila ako maiintindihan nila eh kasi babalik din naman ako after.” While she was absent from the limelight, Donna was busy with her three kids and with running. She and her husband Yong Larrazabal join races. She also denied that her husband is against her decision to go back to show business. “It’s a mutual decision naman eh kasi ako talaga yung tipong mommy na talagang pag nag focus ako sa mga anak ko nasa kanila

talaga. Sabi ko nga gusto kong ma-build ‘yung mommy and kids na samahan. Gusto ko talaga malapit ako sa mga anak ko.” Now that she’s back to recording she said that her fans would expect an album from her that has deeper feelings than her old album. “Expect nila ‘yung mga kanta na tipo na alam nilang bagay sa boses ko and ‘yung mga gusto nilang marinig na kakantahin ko yung mga tipo ng mga songs katulad ng album ko before but this time may laman siguro kasi kumbaga hindi na ako teeny bopper, tweetums, mommy na ako so may experience na ako sa pagmamahal na grabe. So mas malalim na ‘yung album mas may feelings,” she explained. She also felt delighted with the revival of her songs from different artists. “Natutuwa ako siyempre kumbaga alam nila na tumatak sa isip ng mga tao ‘yung mga kantang ni-record ko at na-release before so para i-revive nila ibig sabihin nagandahan sila sa mga songs.”

Actually, nakakatanggal pa ngang stress sa akin. “Yung sleep lang talaga, yung five hours, kailangang i-maximize ko kasi kung hindi, mahihirapan talaga ako,” sey pa ni Albert. The actress responded to an allegation made by Maze Cruz, a freelance talent who worked with the actress in a scene on the show Doble Kara. The freelance talent took to Facebook to voice out her grievance against the actress saying, “Dear Julia Montes, trabaho lang walang personalan.” Again, in another post addressed to the actress, the talent said, “May scene kasi kami batuhan ng lines with Edgar Allan (de Guzman) after matake po yung scene minamalditahan na ako from head to toe.” To this Julia said, “Actually, naaalala ko yung girl mismo sa scene. Yung scene, tinarayan ko siya kasi sa scene. Although their families tried to keep them apart, the two remained friends and even entered a military academy together where their unspoken competition only worsened. The two later found out that they are actually fraternal twins but they are now both in love with the same girl, Audrey (played by Kim Chiu) who died later on. In the end, the brothers decided to team up against their enemies.

MAGKARIBAL This 2010 teleserye revolved around the story of siblings whom tragedy separated at an early age. Played respectively by Gretchen Barretto and Bea Alonzo, Anna and Angela will grow up apart, only to become each other’s competitor in the fashion industry, not knowing they are long-lost sisters. Angel Aquino played the role of Vera, their father’s mistress and another big name in the fashion industry.

INA, KAPATID, ANAK A story of best friends who turned out to be twin sisters, Kim Chiu and Maja Salvador played the roles of Celyn and Margaux. Celyn and Margaux used to be the best of friends but after an incident wherein Margaux was convinced that Celyn betrayed her, she started to see her former best friend a rival. Things between them worsen after they learned that they are actually twins. Nonetheless, they teamed up after their parents’ lives were put to danger.

BRIDGES OF LOVE The 2015 teleserye Bridges of Love mainly revolved around the lives of brothers, Gael (played by Jericho Rosales) and Carlos (played by Paulo Avelino) who were separated and grew up having ill feelings towards the other. Not knowing that they are brothers, they grew up and competed for the attention and affection of Mia (played by Maja Salvador). Carlos’s ill feelings towards Gael only worsened after he found out that he is his brother who left him a long time ago. The two reconciled, nonetheless, with Carlos returning to Gael and setting Mia free.

SID LUCERO DIVES INTO COMEDY IN THE MOVIE “TOTO”

As one of the entries to the 2015 Metro Manila Film Festival New Wave Category, Toto the movie is a story familiar to Pinoys who want to work abroad.

Sid Lucero plays the title role of Antonio “Toto” Estares, a hotel staff who will do anything to get a U.S visa. “Some scenes were shot in Manila but most of the film was shot in Angeles. Basically the film about a young man who desires to go to the States and as a Filipino of course, he feels like his chances are slim and he goes through other means of getting there and that’s how the story goes. “I don’t know how the audience will relate to him, maybe not directly to Toto but hopefully they see themselves in what this guy is doing because we kind of have a habit of shortcutting things. We should try to be more reliant on ourselves instead of always just winging things,” he told PUSH during the Toto the Movie press conference held last December 4 at Mario’s in Tomas Morato, Quezon City.

“No, I think it will depend on her personality. If she’s the type to get pregnant at 15 then I’ll be strict then (laughs). But if she’s the type that knows exactly what she’s doing, then I don’t know. I don’t want to think about that yet! (laughs)” he said. The talented actor stressed that he is hoping his daughter will not follow in his footsteps and get into showbiz.

Sid shared the movie wants to show viewers the importance of doing things the right way.

“No way. Depends on her, if she has the proper head for it. Because honestly the industry is poisonous, it poisons your ego and poisons you as a person. We all know it. I went through it. It’s intoxicating and it takes a certain kind of person to really come in as a person to look up to and come out as exactly that. And if my daughter turns out to be a person who has a good head on her shoulders and has a strong personality, who is impervious to other people’s opinions, then she can handle it. Hopefully she gets into something that she likes, something creative. I don’t know, maybe music like her mom maybe.”

“The lesson here is that we should try things in a conventional way and we shouldn’t shortcut things. There are some things that aren’t worth shortcutting. Sometimes the experience is worth it,” he said.

On the other hand, when Sid was asked about the new guy his sister Andi Eigenmann is dating, he admitted he’s been too busy with work and jujitsu to be updated about it.

Coming from a showbiz clan, Sid revealed there are still a lot of things he wants to try as an actor and doing comedy is now one of them.

“I don’t know. How many suitors ba? (laughs) Always naman eh. Okay. I haven’t met him. I think I just saw it on Instagram. Parang apparently he’s the brother of someone I knew ewan ko eh. I support her in anything that she wants,” he commented. The 34-year-old actor however, said he is happy Andi has shared his interest in martial arts.

“Yeah plenty pa. Well this is the second comedy that I’ve done, but technically this is the first. Now, I really just dove into it. It’s nothing technical to me yet. I don’t know anything about it. I know it’s an art and people actually are comedians all their lives before they’re actually able to do these things on screen. So I don’t know if I can be considered as one of those people (laughs),” he explained. For the holidays, Sid admitted he has no plans except to spend it with his family and also his four-year-old daughter, who does not live with him and with whom he wants to build a stronger relationship with. “I can’t just leave (the country) because of my daughter. I’m not a very good dad. I don’t get to see my daughter a lot. She lives with her mom. Like today I’m going to

After signing a contract with the ABS-CBN network, Elmo Magalona is set to team up with Janella Salvador in the upcoming serye Born For You. Elmo finds it interesting that his newest ka-love team comes from a family with a musical background like him. “Kakameet ko lang kay Janella this week and I think it’s cool na parehas kaming coming from a family of musicians and it’s cool.” On his reaction when he learned that he will be working with the Kapamilya sweetheart, Elmo remarked, “I’m excited to work with her because ang dami niyang projects na she has so many projects now, but she has time to make one with me.” What was his first impression of Janella? “She’s bubbly and very energetic, super easy to work with.” According to Elmo, their soap Born For You will revolve around the story of destiny. “So Born For You ibig sabihin magkakaroon ng destiny sa kuwento na kapag pinanganak ka meron ka ng someone who is destined to be with you forever and once in your life magkikita kayo, magtatagpo kayo, pero di niyo malalaman na kayo na pala ‘yun.” Elmo also shared that the soap will also involve music.
