uch has been said about “millennials” or those born, according to experts, between the early ‘80s and 2000s. They have been called a variety of things, among them spoiled, narcissistic, self-centered, entitled, and an abomination, etc. But between these negative descriptions lies a demographic that—all thanks to the internet—has a lot of originality and an often unconventional take on certain things in life that are often misunderstood or written off as mere naiveté. Such is what was revealed by fast-rising theater company The Sandbox Collective’s No Filter: Let’s Talk About Me, a monologue series “by millennials, for millennials, about millennials.” It showcased performances from first-time and seasoned theater stars namely Jasmine Curtis-Smith, Lauren Young, Saab Magalona, Mikael Daez, Cai Cortez, Micah Muñoz, Khalil Kaimo, and Sarah Facuri.

#ON PASSIONS AND WORK Known for their creativity and mobility, millennials are often chasing their passions and skipping corporate ladders with laptops/ tablets/smartphones in hand. While they can do things all at once may it be as writers, musicians or other creativity-centered professionals, they cannot be boxed inside an office cubicle to mechanically finish a typical eight-hour shift. They would accept being called stupid and whatnot, but since they have fiery souls they simply cannot live to be called “boring.”

society and for the future because of focusing too much on what benefits them now. But the monologue shed light on the very power of the millennials: the ability to disseminate information fast. Thanks to social media they can evoke change. This even gave birth to online activism and petitions or what many simply call as “clicktivism.”

#ON CONNECTION/DISCONNECTION As the generation believed to be logging online for at least six hours a day, millennials know how the internet can easily connect and, quite ironically, disconnect themselves and other people to the world. One electronic gadget and a speedy WiFi signal and they are flooding their timelines with activities and keeping up with their friends. While they are considered shallow with all their acronyms and hashtags, millennials in essence are just making communicating easier, which pretty much what Alexander Graham Bell probably had in mind when he invented the telephone. #ON SOCIAL MEDIA AND ‘CLICKTIVISM’ As the “newer” generation, millennials are often ridiculed for doing very little for their

#ON SELF-ESTEEM AND REJECTION Since they invented and allowed selfies to propagate, many consider millennials as overconfident and overexposed over-sharers. What many do not know is that they still battle with their inner demons and fear of rejection. With expectations of them fitting the mold running high, millennials’ definition of success and value tend to depend on others. They struggle to fit in but eventually they come to realize that they are not living in the same “back in the day” “pre-modernization” era when their parents grew up. #ON INTIMACY AND DATING As someone living in an age where everything is accessible with just a click of a button, millennials are often flawed for putting very little regard on intimacy and affection especially with the birth of dating apps like Tinder. These apps not only hasten “love” or at least what many thought as “love” but it also paves the way for the users to hide behind

lauren young their self-erected walls and be content play games with their prospect. In truth though, underneath the layers, millennials are hoping that in playing the game they might luckily stumble upon their Mr/Ms. Right. #ON FAITH AND SPIRITUALITY As technology expanded in the last few decades, many old theories have been debunked, most popular of which was the creation theory. With access to such information, millennials have been singled out for their skepticism and lack of belief in the divine. When the truth is, millennials are quite more inclined to pray and be thankful to the higher power on their own instead of going to a physical church to ask for “blessings.” ON FREEDOM AND #YOLO The official hashtag of millennials is said to be #YOLO which stands for “You Only Live Once.” Whether we like it or not, the millennials got that one spot on. Hence their mentality to make the most of their lives and live in excess. But while they seem to be the type to fly away and end up astray, millennials are really out to experience the world and conquer every “what if,” a thinking which the previous generations have failed to imbibe. #ON YOUTH AND MATURITY Of the many things said about millennials,

https://www.facebook.com/pages/Asia-Yaosho one word always ends up on the list--“young.” This word has been unfortunately equated to innocence about the harshness of the world— or immaturity to put it bluntly. But what many fail to note is the fact that for millennials, “Youth means seeking enough experience to not be a youth anymore.” They make the most out of things and eventually, charge whatever they encounter along the way to experience. #ON LABELS AND HUMANITY At the end of the day, defining millennials could not only prove to be difficult but also futile. Other than their evident penchant for focusing on themselves, millennials, in essence, are still normal humans. They may appear like an entirely different species when in truth is that they have just evolved and adapted to the times when the world is both big and small and the communications platforms are both personal and impersonal.

Tandaan niyo, it’s a ratings game. ‘Pag mababa na rating mo, iba na tingin sa ‘yo. Mas maraming nagmamahal sa ‘yo sa industriya, pero mas mahalin mo yung sarili mo. full schedules of Who says you can’t have a bestie despite the ne Showbiz who a celebrity life? Here are some stars of Philippi we see as best besties and twinsies. Bea Alonzo and Shaina Magdayao Calling each other ‘cousins,’ Bea and Shaina’s ‘best friends for life’ tag has stood the test of time. They are both Star Magic Artists with the same handler. The two may not be always seen together but they always find time to catch up on each other’s life.

Vice Ganda and Coco Martin “Alam namin kung saan kami nanggaling,” Vice recalls when asked about his similarities with Coco. Considering themselves having the same blow during their struggling years, they seem to understand each other more than anyone else could.

Kathryn Bernardo and Miles Ocampo They first met at an acting workshop before joining the kiddie gag show “Goin’ Bulilit.” Growing up together, they have become best of friends on their way to a much bigger field in Philippine Showbiz.

Gerald Anderson and Rayver Cruz Yes! They are actually best friends despite them both being linked to Sarah Geronimo. The two first met in 2006 during a basketball event. Until now, their common hobby is what keeps them BBFs -- Best Bros Forever.

Angelica Panganiban and John Pratts These two started off as stars of the teen show G-mik (together with John’s sister Camille Prats, who is also Angelica’s best friend) and had no idea that they would be best friends forever. True enough, Angelica was the “best woman” when John finally tied the knot with Isabel Oli last May.

Luis Manzano and Anne Curtis These two are one of the most famous besties in showbiz. Describing Luis as ‘someone she would marry,” Anne brags about the many things that they have in common. And would you believe that they dated? But the dating soon turned into a relationship that is more than they could wish for -- them being best of friends

Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil These Forevermore stars are actually best friends, putting aside the fact that they already expressed their admiration for each other. “You are the best guy friend anyone can have,” as said by Liza on a letter she gave to Enrique which he read on an interview with Love Out Loud. Can this be a great story of a bestfriend-turned-to-love-relationship?

Angel Locsin and Dimples Romana From reel to real friendship, these two first met on the set of Only You, playing as best friends. And who would have thought that’s what they would turn out after the teleserye ended? In one Kris TV epsiode, Angel said about their friendship, “Hindi kami KSP (kulang sa pansin) na magkaibigan. Hindi namin kailangan ng assurance lagi. Sasalo ako ng bala para kay Dimps. Ganun ang level ng friendship namin.”

Solenn Heusaff and Georgina Wilson They may be the most famous showbiz best friends as both being on the Fashion and Beauty A-list. They already launched their own book called “Besties” which is about “appreciating your life and having fun with your 6 best friend." August 2015 JAPAN EDITION FREE

Maja Salvador and Cacai Bautista Despite their showbiz stance -- Cacai being a comedian actress and Maja being seen on most teleseryes as a drama actress, these two fits perfectly with each other. These besties’ closeness started when Cacai toured with Maja in her first dance concert series. Maja calls the comedian “My Kiffie” while Cacai has defended Maja from controversy a couple of times.

Bea Alonzo remarked that she is beyond ecstatic knowing her hit movie One More Chance now has a book version. “Ang surreal ng pakiramdam, kanina nga kausap ko si ate Carmi (Raymundo), isa sa mga writers, parang hindi [kami] makapaminawala na ginagawa talaga natin ‘to. ‘Yung book signing ng ‘One More Chance’ nostalgic siya, parang nagkwekwentuhan kami about the past, surreal,” she said.

The actress considers this feat as truly a milestone in her life. “Siguro ito milestone at least sa aming dalawa [ni John Loyd], sa writers kay direk Cathy (Garcia-Molina).” Bea admitted that she did not expect that the film would actually achieve the kind of success that it has now. “Ako hindi ko naisip,” she confessed. Now that rumors are going around that there will be a second part of One More Chance and fans are still raving about “Popoy” and “Basha”, Bea is looking forward to what lies ahead for her and One More Chance. “Siyempre masaya ako na parte

ako nito. Excited ako sa mga p w e d e n g mangyari.” Like the fans of the movie, Bea has her share of unforgettable lines from the movie. “Siguro ‘yung ‘It takes grownups to make a relationship work.’

Bea Alonzo hopes that her team up with John Lloyd Cruz will achieve the same kind of longevity like Dawn Zulueta and Richard Gomez’s partnership. She admitted that she has always admired CharDawn’s love team especially how they have maintained their onscreen chemistry throughout the years. “I always look at them ‘yung parang benchmark ng love team. For sure mas maraming mas successful pang love teams sa kanila noon but ‘yung longevity ng love team nila talagang nakakabilib,” she said in an interview with Push. com.ph. She added, “Kaya sabi ko sana magkaroon kami ng same longevity, sana dumating din ‘yung araw na as we mature kami ni Lloydie (John Lloyd) we will be more comfortable with each other as Richard and Dawn are comfortable with each other ‘yon ‘yung parang ‘Wow nakaka-excite, malay mo maging ganon din kami na walang relationship man o ano but may pinaniniwalaan, may fantasy.” Bea stars with Richard and Dawn in the movie The Love Affair. The actress shared that she has learned a lot especially working with Dawn. “Kasi like every scene, she makes sure that binibigay niya lahat, na she works for it and kahit physically she makes sure she sleeps well. Alam mo na tinatrabaho niya, na meron pa rin siyang ganong drive hanggang ngayon. She’s been in the business for so long. She had a lot of awards already but she never stops to work hard and to dream.”

FROM

YAYA DUB’S RISE TO FAME The #AlDub and #KiligPaMore hashtags have been dominating social media that even non-TV viewers may have heard of the tandem behind the tags in one way or another. Alden Richards (Richard Reyes Faulkerson, Jr.) and Yaya Dub (Nicomaine Dei Capili Mendoza in real life) make up the latest oncscreen pair. We may know Alden Richards as the part-time model and actor who has been active since 2010. But who is Yaya Dub? Maine to her friends, the 20-year-old from Sta. Maria, Bulacan graduated from the De La SalleCollege of St. Benilde last February with a course in Culinary Arts.

She was a Dean’s Lister and was awarded a couple of Second Honors Certificate, a recognition given to students with a 3.0 to 3.4 GPA, during her stay in the university. In a time when mobile app Dubsmash became the newest craze, she made her own short selfie video like any other social media junkie. Her first Dubsmash clip was uploaded on Instagram on April 22, 2015 and it was a dubbed impersonation of Kris Aquino.

A longer Facebook video, which was a compilation of 11 Kris impersonations, instantly became a hit with more than 3.2 million views (as of writing). Maine made spot on facial expressions and movements of a variety of Kris Aquino scenes, including interviews

with Boy Abunda, conversations with Vice Ganda, her Kris TV features with Darla, and even the actress’ horror movie stint. She herself can’t believe the attention she got and the overwhelming number of views she got overnight. “Oh my goodness, this is just unbelievable. (Worth posting to!) I honestly never thought I’d reach this number of views.. in just a day! Nakakaoka!!! I am so overwhelmed and gobsmacked by all the comments and thoughtful messages I’ve been receiving.. sobrang nakakatuwa! Didn’t actually think I am capable of making thousands of people laugh by just being my complete self. I didn’t expect any of this AT ALLgrabe intense. Ang saya saya magpasaya! Thank you everyone!!!! P.S. Sino may gusto ng black polo?,” she writes in an Instagram post. Maine may be very much single in real life, even joked that “she will never have a boyfriend.” But onscreen, she has captured the heart of Alden if only in a made-up storyline featured in the noontime show Eat Bulaga. Introduced on July 16, the skit follows the love team’s expression of admiration toward each other through the use of movie lines and songs, very much like Yaya Dub’s series of Dubsmash videos.

HOW THE ALDUB LOVETEAM STARTED How Aldub Love Team Was Born

It all Started when Doctor Dora the Explorer must leave the country without informing the public when she will comeback to join the noon time show again, Eat Bulaga. In search for Doctor Dora’s replacement, Doctor Dora introduced to Lola Nidora Yaya Dub as a temporary personal assistant.

It was July 16, 2015 one of the ordinary days of the Problem Solving segment when Yaya Dub was asked by the host that there is someone who’d like to see her at the very first time. It was the first time Yaya saw Alden Richards, upon seeing him Yaya was intimidated and for the very first time Yaya smiled at the camera. Then they started to wave hands to each other “Pabebe Style.” Lola Nidora saw the two being sweet to each other, but Lola Nidora refuses and hates the AlDub, even Lola Nidora knew that Yaya is in legal age to have a BF. Whenever Lola notices the two being sweet to each other Lola immediately stops them and there was a time that Lola told Alden that he will never see Yaya again! 1st Weeksary of Aldub

Love at First Sight

It was a week then when Aldub loveteam started and for their first weeksary Alden suprisingly sent flowers to Yaya Dub with the help of the riding in tandem.

Yaya Dub tried to runaway after Lola Nidora warned Alden that he will never see Yaya anymore but then Yaya was stopped by the two masculine men Rogelio and Rogelio 2.

Php 1,000,000.00 for the Lola Nidora Php 500,000,000.00 to Lola Nidora’s check-up for her ears. Php 100,000,000.00 for Jose

The Secret Diary of Lola Nidora The reason why Lola Nidora forbids the loveteam to continue their love is written in this secret diary, but when lola is ready to revealed the real reason behind why she doesnt want them to continue their relationship the book was taken by the riding in tandem. Lola suspected Alden as the mastermind of stealing the diary from her to find out why Lola really hates him and forbids to love Yaya Dub. Celia the Great Aunt of Alden Auntie Celia, the great aunt of Alden who happens to be Lola Nidora’s neighbor cannot hold herself but talk due to the consistent maltreaments and cruelty of Lola Nidora to Alden.

2nd Weeksary of Aldub

Lola Nidora asked Alden for Money When the Diary was stolen by the riding in tandem Lola nidora furioulsy asked for money becuase she suspected alden is the mastermind. Php 50,000,000.00 for the Secret Diary

Through the love story of AlDub, GMA 7’s Eat Bulaga starts to be on top of TV Ratings in terms of noon time shows and this love team is one of the best and successful pairing the GMA has ever done right after DongYan Love Team.

WHY THEY CAPTURE THE HEARTS OF EVERY PEOPLE How does two people can have a very good chemistry when they don’t intetionally meant it? The #Aldub has been in the news feed for the past weeks due to their arising love tandem between them and undeniably they both make us fall in love through their sweet charm and on screen cuteness. We ask ourselves why they capture peoples hearts when in fact they don’t have movies or teleserye’s that involved them. Here are the reasons why they capture peoples hearts: What You See is What You Get Unlike any other love team both young and veteran the AlDub loveteam simply show what they really are both enjoyed what they are doing, Alden Richards is more on modeling and Maine Mendoza or Yaya Dub is into fun and entertainment. This is another point that this reel love will turn to a real relationship between both of them. Waving Pabebe-Style

Dont you love the way they do it? It all started when they first met. Though they haven’t met each other personally Alden never fails to make Yaya feel giddy

with his charming dimples and the way he looks at yaya while waving Pabebe-Style. #KiligPaMore or #AlDub Both of this hashtags are used mainly for the loveteam, it has been spread-out on the net and it has a tendency that whoever came across this hash tags they will be informed on the whereabouts of the loveteam. Even to the viewers who are not their fans right after they have watched the loveteams videos they become a instant fans of them. AlDub have their own version teleserye With the AlDub weeksary this will drive their fans even crazier. It will make you even more #kiligpamore. Aldub became a stree reliver THousands of their fans stated that if they’re tired of their work or feel stressed they watch their #kiligpamore videos online before they go to sleep. Indeed this tandem was the best accidental loveteam to hit GMA next to Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera whom they also captured the hearts of people. Aldub has a unique love story Can you imagine a love story about lovers who are not totally seeing each other? Most of the time couples need to give time for their partner, see each other from time to time but with this love team it’s way different among the rest. Elderly people can relate to them Would you believe that even elders are also a fan of them. The AlDub reminds them the memories, way back when they’re still young at age. We will see how far this love team can go, that will make us to be excited to their next step!

The first weeksary was exciting but the second weeksary was compeletly different from ther first it was devastating for the loveteam. Alden was kidnapped and Yaya Dub is sad, because alden is her source of happiness and no one will tell her who is the mastermind of the kidnapping.

WHO ARE ALSO STARS IN Donita Rose

Some of our favorite stars have proven to us that they’re not only good in acting, but also in cooking and baking. Aside from memorizing their spiels and showing off their prowess in front of the camera, they can also whip up a dish or two in the kitchen, run a full-service restaurant, or even manage a whole restaurant empire.

During the height of her TV career, former VJ Donita Rose signed up for a yearlong course at the Academy for International Culinary Arts in 2012. As soon as she finished her thesis on French molecular gastronomy, she flew to the United States to try out her luck in the restaurants abroad. Realizing that she still needed experience, she flew back to Manila and worked in local hotels and restaurants. This move was a wise decision because as soon as she acquired new skills, she went on her way to become part of renowned establishments like the Kumi Japanese restaurant in Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas.

Julia Montes Julia furthered her interest in cooking by attending the Center for Culinary Arts Manila. Donning her chef toque on graduation day last June, she claimed the moment as “one of the happiest” in her life on her Instagram account.

Marian Rivera The actress started a separate Instagram account devoted solely to her cooking last December 2014 with the handle @lutoniyan. Its profile says “Marian Rivera loves to cook and is a certified Foodie” and, indeed, the account shows her penchant for cooking. She also started training at the Heny Sison Culinary School early this year.

Yam Concepcio Yam was Julia’s batchmate in the Center for Culinary Arts Manila. Photos of their lessons on dessert-making were shared on her Instagram.

Judy Ann Santos

Judy Ann juggled both her showbiz career and a fondness for cooking at a very young age. Like most Filipino chefs, she started developing her skill set through trial and error in what we all know as “lutong bahay.” Her formal training started with a short course in International Cuisine in Chiang Mai, Thailand in 2008. She then studied and graduated at the Center for Asian Culinary Arts Studies wherein she was awarded a silver medal for “Basic Skills in Cooking” and a gold medal for “Advanced Skills”. In July of 2009, she received a Certificate of Competency from TESDA after passing the national certification exam. She hosted the competitive cooking game show MasterChef Pinoy Edition and Junior MasterChef Pinoy Edition, an adaptation of the British game show, in 2011. Her latest achievement in the culinary business is the launch of her very first book titled, Judy Ann’s Kitchen. Published by Anvil, the book features the actress’ personal recipes and dishes she cooks for her family.

With real life best friends Coco Martin and Vice Ganda teaming up for the upcoming Metro Manila Film Festival entry Beauty and the Bestie, PUSH decided to come up with other pairings that we’d love to see onscreen. Liza is undoubtedly one of the crowd favorites lately as shown by the success of Forevermore and Just The Way You Are and the many positive comments about her personality and her beautiful face. So we thought it would quite be unique and interesting to see her paired with another crowd favorite Teen King Daniel Padilla, who for his part has been proving his acting skills on Pangako Sa’Yo and Crazy Beautiful You. We know they are both part of solid love teams as of the moment, but a little chemistry testing wouldn’t hurt so much, right? After all they are both extremely good looking and promising.

Daniel Padilla

Liza Soberano

Nadine Lustre & Kathrine Bernado A lot has been said and done in the name of the lookalikes Kathryn and Nadine. They have been pitted incessantly by fans and bashers, yet the two young stars have remained professional and cordial to one another. With that, we think that it’s a good idea for them to work together. Since they look almost alike, it would be interesting to see them give life to psychotic twin roles.

KC Concepcion & Sharon Cuneta

There’s nothing like a good mother-and-daughter tandem for a project. We know for a fact that KC and Sharon have their own perspectives on certain matters, oftentimes putting them at opposite ends of an issue. But we can’t deny the reality that they are both talented performers may it be in singing or acting. Unfortunately though, according to KC, there isn’t a project for suited for them just yet. But perhaps they can try hosting a show or acting in soap together some time.

Claudine Baretto & Judy Ann Santos

Alex & Toni Gonzaga

They were young rising stars back in the ‘90s and have both managed to maintain their celeb status decades later. Both took some time off to focus on their respective families with Juday now resting again after announcing her second pregnancy last month. Now that Claudine is officially back perhaps they could have an all-star cast movie with a modern mother role probably after Juday has given birth.

Another interesting tandem would be something between two sisters and who better portray those roles than Toni and Alex Gonzaga. While of course, we can expect them to shine in a comedy project, it would really be interesting to see them in a heavy drama just to see another side. Perhaps it could be directed by their favorite director Paul Soriano to give it a little more spice and indie-film vibe.

Maja Salvador & Enrique Gill Their two “Twerk It Like Miley” videos have sent netizens buzzing and YouTube views skyrocketing. So perhaps it’s time for them to have a permanent dance segment in ASAP like the Supahdance or if we could stretch it further, a dance concert or a dance movie a la Step Up.

Angelica Panganiban & Marian Rivera We’ve seen and laughed about their recent and very candid Instagram banter hence the idea to see them together on a project. There is no question that Marian and Angelica are both among the most talented and gorgeous actresses of today. Then again, it’s also no secret that they are both fun-loving and bekiloving women. With that, we hope to see them in a best friends kind of comedy movie together with the funniest and most colorful gay stars in the business.

Most of us aspire for the “the one,” a partner with whom we can exchange sweet nothings, explore the world, and have a long-lasting relationship with. These are just a few relationship goals that we’d love to attain. Here are 13 couples in the showbiz industry that could provide us with that flicker of hope for a happy ending: In a relationship for seven years before tying the knot, newlyweds Paul and Toni could be the personification of the adage “True Love Waits”. In an interview in The Buzz last February, Paul shared, “It’s been seven and a half years and you know she’s been a great part of my life, the best blessing I’ve ever received and you know I want to spend the rest of my life with her. We’re engaged, we’re engaged. I’m super happy.” They were married last June 12.

Now known as #TeamKramer, the family of basketball player Doug, actress Cheska and their adorable kids Clair Kendra, Scarlett Louvelle, and Gavin Phoenix loves to travel and check out the newest family-friendly destinations. Their latest vacation spots include Dubai, Singapore, and Boracay.

Billy and Coleen confirmed their relationship last year after the two were linked to each other since 2013. In an interview at the press conference of Pasion de Amor last summer, Coleen expressed her gratitude for Billy’s support for her career. “I’m very thankful that he’s considerate enough to actually think na ayaw na niya dumagdag. Yung iniintindi na lang niya ako on my own, na nahihirapan ako sa mga aspeto na napupuno yung schedule tapos may mga scenes na challenging na ako nahihirapan,” the actress said.

Amid recent speculations that their relationship is on the rocks, Bea said in a press conference, “Mukha ba akong in pain and broken? Hindi, okay naman ako. Okay naman kami and oo meron mga pinagdaanan, lahat naman tayo hindi naman mawawala yan di ba? But yung pinaka-importante dun is kung paano mo i-ha-handle yung sarilig mo pag natapos ang lahat ng ito. So there, we’re working it out and masaya kami. Okay naman kami. Happy naman kami. Responsibilidad mo sa sarili mo na maging happy ka.”

Kaya tayo iniiwan ng mga taong mahal natin kasi may paparating pa, yung magmamahal sa’tin at magpaparealize sa’tin kung bakit naging mali yung dati. Paparealize rin satin kung pa’no tayo dapat mahalin.” It came as a surprise when two confirmed their relationship,

THE BUZZ EXCLUSIVE!!!

ANNABELLE RAMA WANTS DAUGHTER RUFFA GUTIERREZ’S BOYFRIEND TO GO BACK TO PARIS

I

In a shocking moment during Ruffa Gutierrez’s endorsement launch, ever-vocal Annabelle Rama flatly claimed that she’s not willing to give her daughter’s boyfriend a chance to prove himself.

Recall that the consistently bickering mother-and-daughter’s recent spat stems from Annabelle’s disapproval of Ruffa’s current boyfriend Jordan Mouyal. This riff has led them not to talk to one another for a little while. But recently things cooled down between them particularly during Ruffa’s brother, Elvis Gutierrez’s recent wedding. However reports have it that the two are not really on good terms just yet. Although there was no clear mention that it was about her boyfriend, halfway through the event, Ruffa claimed that she understands where her mother is coming from. But she reiterated that the feisty talent manager tends to not give her and other people a chance to explain. In reaction to this Annabelle blurted, “Anong klaseng chance ang sinasabi mo diyan?” Annabelle stressed that Ruffa’s boyfriend won’t be able to win her over saying that, “Wala siyang dapat gawin, [siguro] bumalik siya kung saan siya galing. Tanong niyo kay Ruffa siguro magfarmer na lang siya sa Paris dahil walang farmer sa Paris, day.” In a separate interview with her, Ruffa corrected rumors that she and her Mommy are just faking their reconciliation for the sake of their reality show It Takes Gutz to be a Gutierrez saying that, “Nagkabati kami but hindi kami bffs.” She related that it was actually her brother Elvis who pushed for them to kiss and make up. “Wala. It was a joyous occasion and si Elvis naman, ‘yung brother ko na kinakasal, sabi niya ‘Magbati na kayo alangalang sakin.’ So, good mood si Mommy so tinanggap niya ‘yung yakap ko at halik ko. So that was it hindi na kami masiyado pang nagusap after that. Pero hindi parin kami nagtatawagan 10 times a day. Medyo once every two days nagtatawagan na kami. So that’s a good start,” she explained. At the same time, Ruffa addressed her mother’s alleged claim that their reconcialition was “forced.”

“Para siguro sa kanya pilit kasi ‘yung mga gusto niyang gawin ko, hindi ko pa magagawa and that’s it. Siguro at this point I would like to have that respect between us, ‘yung relationship between us. But in the end gusto kong makapag-decide pa rin ako on my own,” she ended.

IS THERE RIVALRY BETWEEN KATHRYN BERNARDO AND NEWBIE ACTRESS SARAH CARLOS? Teen Queen Kathryn Bernardo couldn’t be any happier about the events in her career as of the moment so much so that she doused whatever negativity that’s being hurled her way. First among them was the rumored friction between her and Pangako Sa’Yo co-star Sarah Carlos, who coincidentally plays the role of Bea Bianca, the person who would come between Yna and Angelo’s romance. In an interview with Kathryn during her launch as the new muse of local show brand Primadonna, she related that she and Sarah have already shared a scene together. As a new star, Kathryn has nothing but good words for Sarah, whom she described was very eager and excited for her first ever showbiz project. “Okay siya and gina-guide namin siya lahat kasi first time niya mag-taping so medyo naninibago pa siya. Pero open kasi si Sarah sa mga ano eh, sa mga bagay. Tinuturuan siya nila Direk Cathy [Garcia-Molina] nila Direk Richard [Arellano] ganyan. So okay siya. Nakikita mo na na-excite siya sa taping and natutuwa siya doon sa character niya,” she said. If anything, Kathryn quickly quelled the rumors of jealousy over the fact that Sarah’s character Bea Bianca is expected to get cozy and even seduce Teen King Daniel Padilla’s character Angelo on the soap. Kathryn even added, “Nakakausap ko talaga siya off-cam and parang noong unang day palang ang dami na naming chika so maganda ‘yung start namin.” According to Kathryn, fans of the top-rating show has actually a lot more to look forward to

in the coming weeks. “Marami pa ngayon nagkita na si Amor at Eduardo and ngayon naman sa love story namin ni Angelo mas nade-develop na si Yna kay Angelo and then pumasok na si Bea Bianca, nandiyan si Diego. So andyan na, dumarating na ‘yung mga characters na inaabangan din ng mga tao from original Pangako Sa’Yo,” she said. Meanwhile, during her launch as the show brand’s new face, the press people came to notice that her campaign shots were somehow edgy, which, to some extent digresses from her usual teeny bopper image. To this, Kathryn explained, “No kasi actually sa campaign ng Primadonna parang pinagisipan talaga nila ‘yung sa mga campaigns nila so para naman maiba sa usual na nakikita so pina-fierce nila akong konti ganyan. And mas very fashion which is nice kasi ‘yun naman para bago sa paningin ng lahat.” But even before anyone could draw conclusions that she’s now ready to shed off her cutesy image, Kathryn immediately clarified that such isn’t the case. She underscored that she would love to be seen as “Mas fierce lang siguro.” Asked if Daniel has already seen her shots, Kathryn just laughed and said that he has yet to see them. “Hindi naman ‘yun masyadong ano eh... Basta masaya kang siya. Kasi isa siya sa mga unang sinabihan ko and masaya siya and for sure matutuwa naman siya,” she ended.

JACKIE FORSTER ON WHY SONS ANDRE AND KOBE REFUSE TO SEE HER: ‘THEY THINK I ABANDONED THEM’ On Aquino and Abunda Tonight, Jackie Forster aired her frustration over her failed efforts to talk to her children with ex-husband Benjie Paras, Kobe and Andre. “It is tiring,” Jackie admitted. She said Kobe and Andre asked her to give them space some two years ago but up to now she still hasn’t talked to them personally. Jackie explained why she thinks her sons are being “brainwashed” and said her sons’ idea about her “has to come from somewhere.” “They think I just turned my back and abandoned them because I wanted to go with another man.” Jackie denied this and said she has proof that she tried her best to be with Andre and Kobe. “I have legal documents, friends that have helped me to try see them, social workers, lawyers…” Despite everything that’s happened, Jackie expressed her wish for things to get better. “Why can’t we be all friends? Let’s take the mature route.” She also said that if it is the boys’ decision not to talk to her, “Bakit hindi i-push to do the more positive thing?” Jackie believes that every one of them is in a better place and “it’s easy to forgive.” “Kung ano man ang nangyari sa amin noon ng Papa nila, it’s all in the past, tapos na yun…” Now is the time for them to get to know me.” Jackie added, “I’m here if they want to get to know me.” Jackie is also grateful to her husband who supports her in her efforts to be closer to her sons Andre and Kobe. “He gives me every

opportunity to come back home just for that “maybe,” maybe I could see them.” Jackie’s husband “hopes everything will be fine soon” even though “he doesn’t get all of this.” Jackie revealed that her husband couldn’t understand why Jackie, a mother, is being kept away from her children. “He doesn’t understand how people can be this cruel.” Jackie said she has already asked for forgiveness. “At this point, I’ve asked for forgiveness for whatever it is. If there’s something else that’s bothering them I’m willing to talk about it but it seems the doors are close.” Jackie revealed she believes it’s time to let it go of her mission to talk to her two sons. However, “I will never stop loving them,” she said. In the portion of the show called Fast Talk, Jackie said the most hurtful thing she was accused of is being a bad mother. And that happiness for her is a “selfie with five children.”

WILLIE REVILLAME REVEALS THINKING ABOUT JOINING POLITIC

H

So, naipon ko to lahat.

Laging merong may kulang. Pero masaya naman ako dahil I’m so blessed.

WENDELL RAMOS SHARES WHY HE THINKS ABS-CBN IS THE BEST NETWORK Seen earlier this year in the legal drama Ipaglaban Mo, Wendell Ramos is officially introduced as a Kapamilya with his inclusion in the cast of Pasion de Amor during his solo presscon held last August 6 inside ABS-CBN. The 36-year-old actor admitted he was overwhelmed by the warm welcome he received. “Ang sarap. Sobrang sarap. Lalo akong n a i-inspire magtrabaho kahit mabigat pero magaan ang trabaho dahil mnamahal ka ng kapamilya di ba? Sobrang happy ako. Although nag-ge-guest naman ako dito, I feel good. It’s feels great na maging part ng Pasion de Amor at ng Kapamilya network. It’s overwhelming kasi alam niyo na galing din ako sa ibang network. Ang nakakatuwa dito it inspires me more kasi kini-claim ka na Kapamilya. Gagawin ko ng maayos yung trabaho ko para sa inyong lahat. Actually hindi lang ako excited, buong family ko. Buong relatives, ganun ka-big deal yung binigay sa akin na break ng ABS-CBN. Actually pag tinatanong ako lagi na lang ako masaya and read for work,” he shared. In Pasion de Amor, Wendell plays the role of Gabriel, the illegitimate son of Teresa Loyzaga and half-brother to the Elizondo sisters played by Arci Munoz, Ellen Adarna and Coleen Garcia. “Ume-ere na kami. Ako si Gabriel, na isa sa magiging pasakit sa magkakapatid on both sides, with the girls and the boys,” he said. Wendell also emphasized there was no conflict in transferring networks when he accepted his latest project. “At that time wala na akong commitment. So it’s a good blessing. Wala na rin akong contract sa ibang network so nag-usap kami ni boss Perry, tinitingnan namin yung mga nag-offer so siyempre nagkaroon dito sa ABS-CBN (ng offer) so it’s a privilege and an opportunity na kunin ito. Parang nagkasabay lang, nag-offer din and at the same time yun yung hinihintay din namin an at the same time gusto ko rinmagwork dito sa Kapamilya.” Admittedly, the actor said becoming a Kapamilya was not a tough decision for him to make. “I said of course. Not for anything but it’s a good network, sabihin nating best network. So wala namang ibang questions asked. Para sa akin, ‘Sige, let’s do it! Let’s face it.’ Sa dami dami ng artista na mahuhusay, na qualified para dito sa Pasion de Amor or sa mga nagiging shows ng ABS-CBN eh para ma-consider ako, eh napakalaking bagay na,” he related. During the press conference, Wendell couldn’t help but admit that he considered ABS-CBN as the best network in the country today. “Kasi nung galing ako ng GMA, no offense meant ha kasi galing ako sa GMA, they’re a good station din. Nag-number 1 siguro ngayon (ABS-CBN). Kung may mali ako sorry pero nung umasok ako dito sa Pasion de Amor, nung nagbigay ng mga teaser, dumami yung social media. Lahat ng mga friends ko from the different countries sabi, ‘Pare andiyan ka pala!’ so para sa akin naramdaman ko lang. I’m not saying this dahil andito na ako. My own opinion lang yun. So para sa akin yun yun kaya sinabi ko na the best station,” he explained. The new Kapamilya hunk says he is not afraid and take back his words because he is basing it on his own personal experience. But he does not want his former network to take offense as well. “Hindi naman kasi naging best network din naman sila eh.Tulad ng bina-base ko, may ratings ngayon na dun lang ako buma-base lagi. So far alam niyo naman na ang mga ratings ng ABS-CBN ngayon nandun so ganun din before GMA may mga times na ganun din. Sabi ko nga, buma-base lang ako sa nakikita ko at na-e-experience. Kung may mali ako sorry po, wala naman akong intention.” September 2015

RUFFA GUTIERREZ REVEALS WHY SHE WON’T POSE FOR MEN’S MAGAZINES While most of her peers like Eula Valdez, Jean Garcia, and Alice Dixson have defied the norm and posed sexy for men’s magazines, Ruffa Gutierrez opts not to join the bandwagon. In an interview with Ruffa at the recentlyconcluded launch of whitening brand Cosmo Skin’s Collagen Drink and upgraded Glutathione Capsule, she claimed that she’s not really into posing sexy for glossies. She even shared that she has turned down a number of offers to pose for a men’s magazines simply because, “Wala feeling ko I don’t need it anymore di ba?” Parang here’s my body. Ayoko na parang I don’t think my daughters will be happy if I did that.” But Ruffa is not completely closing her doors to posing sexy, saying that, “Siguro if I’d pose sexy for a magazine it has to be a fashion magazine and not a men’s magazine. Kasi iba ang connotation kapag men’s magazine eh. Iba ‘pag fashion.” As one of the actresses who has managed to maintain her enviable figure despite giving birth, Ruffa shared that she earned it through constant exercise and dieting. However she didn’t deny that she got “a little help” from invasive procedures especially for her body. “For me whatever makes the person happy,

why not? As long as they still look natural at hindi na ‘yung robot ang dating. Para sakin I’m proud to say yes sa katawan ko may nagawa nako because of course I had a baby na no!” she shared. But Ruffa took pride in the fact that, “Pero sa mukha ko wala pa. If you can check the photos when I won Miss World I was only 19 years old ganon pa rin ang itsura ko.” The reason why she decided not to have a cosmetic surgery on her face was the fact that they defy aging a little too much. “Hindi pwede sa artista ‘yun eh kasi hindi mapapansin ang lines. There are so many ways naman na now na hindi mo na kailangan mag-invasive surgery. Ang dami ng noninvasive laser treatments. Ang dami ng mga supplements. Hindi mo na kailangang magpasurgery. Hindi na uso ‘yun actually,” she ended.

ACTRESS CYNTHIA PATAG SAYS VICE PRESIDENT JEJOMAR BINAY HAS ‘NO CONSCIENCE’ Coming right on the heels of Vice President Jejomar Binay’s version of what he calls the “True State of the Nation Address (TSONA)”, actress Cynthia Patag took to her Facebook account on Tuesday to air her grievances about the politician. She started her open letter by pointing out that Binay has failed to perform his most basic function as the country’s second highest person of authority, next to President Noynoy Aquino. “As early as Grade School, we were taught that the Vice-President should have the President’s back for the sake of our nation,” she wrote. Seems all you do is tell us Filipinos about the supposedly ‘palpak’ governance of Pnoy - lahat na ‘ata ng kapalpakan kasalanan niya pati Yolanda— before segueing to how you will transform the entire Philippine archipelago into a First World country. In six years.” Patag singled out that if a person really wants to help, “kayang gawin ang mga pagbabagong ito ng hindi kinakailangang maluklok sa pwesto na palaging may kasamang media for the publicity.” She asked, “If you think you’d be incredibly outstanding as Philippine President in 2016, what exactly have you done during your five years as VP—apart from relentlessly campaigning for yourself as President in May 2016?” The former Palibhasa Lalake star even said that she has sensed Binay’s “vile agenda” a long time ago. She cited how all the vice president’s “acts of charity” always lacked genuineness and were merely done either to promote himself or to

instill gratitude to its recipients. “Those relief bags with your name printed on it, huh! Even the rosary bracelets have your initial ‘B’ printed boldly on the cross. Santissima—sacrilege!” she wrote. Patag also touched on the corruption cases filed against Binay in connection to his term as Makati City Mayor and how he skipped the Senate Blue Ribbon committee hearings thrice. “You said you’ve already been judged by the taong bayan. Yes, we have judged you—as a pathetic coward! A person who is innocent of graft and plunder charges levelled at him can’t wait to clear his name by telling the truth,” she said. As a parting request, Patag asked Binay to stop taking credit for Makati, saying that, “You did not build Makati, the Ayalas did.” “Where did all our money go?’ perplexed Makati taxpayers silently ask themselves whenever the see the squalid shanties of ‘the other Makati,’” she said. In the end, the actress-comedienne boldly claimed that Binay has no conscience. “You’ll sleep well tonight. There won’t be a persistent conscience to bother you. Because you don’t have one,” she said.

In an article of Bianca Gonzalez in the Philippine Star, he relayed that his church respects his political opinions as a commentator yet he does participate in the bloc vote of Iglesia ni Cristo during the elections. GLADYS REYES

What was Shaina Magdayao’s reaction to working with her ex John Lloyd Cruz?

S

Shaina Magdayao admitted that she never expected that she would work with exboyfriend John Lloyd Cruz. They recently crossed paths and shot scenes together in the primetime series Nathaniel. “Alam mo okay naman kasi kami okay talaga kami, nagulat lang ako na makakatrabaho ko pala siya. Hindi ko kasi nakita ‘yun na mangyayari ‘yun ever but then I guess talagang ganoon lang kaliit ‘yung mundo ng showbiz,” she stated in an interview with Push.com.ph and Cinema News. The actress stressed that she is on good terms with John Lloyd Cruz and there is

no issue between the two of them working together. “What’s important is I’m okay with him and he is okay with me. Actually no big deal because okay kami even before pa. I think medyo bago lang sa paningin ng tao na nakikita kami na onscreen kasi hindi kami nagtrabaho dati and that’s about it.”

Shaina was actually the first one to approach John Lloyd when he arrived on the set.

“Oo kasi ganon ‘yung lahat ng ginagawa ko sa lahat ng guest namin, you know, being one of the cast parang I think it’s just proper na wini-welcome ‘yung guest namin so hindi naman nagkaiba ‘yun. Parang feeling ko naman it’s just proper na siya man o hindi ‘yung guest i-welcome siya so ‘yung turn niya na maging guest siya I said welcome to our set kasi napakaganda talaga ng working environment namin.” In a separate interview with John Lloyd, the actor remarked that all is well between

him and the actress. “Wala na naman ‘yun. We’re all grown ups. Ang tagal na non at wala naman talagang issue eh. Actually nong nag-decide ako na mag-offer ako ng trabaho na ‘Sige pwede ba akong maging part ng Nathaniel?’ Actually hindi ko naisip na ‘Oops, oo nga pala nandiyan si Shaina.’ Wala na po talaga yun eh na hindi na siya. Eh pagdating ko hindi ko siya nakita, siya pa ‘yung nag-welcome sa akin sa set nila.”

In an interview with the actor at the book signing of One More Chance, he relayed that everything went smoothly from the very beginning. “Sobra akong nag-enjoy don. Napakabait nila, napakagaan nilang katrabaho. Tsaka ano eh may respeto sila sa mga artista, sa mga tao nila and it’s the kind of set na gusto mong mapabilang,” he said. He added that the cast was fun to be with. “Pag nandon ka sa set nila napakasaya, napakagaan nila kasama. Napakagaan at napaka-fluid lang ng trabaho. Ako maswereteng maswerte ako na naexperience ko ‘yung show na ‘yun.” When asked if he had hesitations joining the soap considering the fact that his former girlfriend Shaina Magdayao is part of it, he responded, “Wala na naman ‘yun.

“Parang what you see is what you get siguro.

Eh, gaano ba kasaya ang puso niya on scale 1 to 10?

“10 ciguro!” pagmamalaki niya. “Dahil marami kasing magandang nangyayari bukod don sa relasyon namin, sa takbo ng career ko, sa nangyayari sa buhay ko, sa pamilya ko, sa love life, lahat-lahat na. Kumbaga, masaya talaga at wala na akong mahihiling pa.” Inamin ni Dennis sa PUSH na maituturing niyang “love is lovelier the second time around.”

“Oo, masasabi ko ‘yon. Ganun talaga, eh. Nangyayari talaga yon, eh. Love is lovelier the second time around,” pag-ulit pa ni Dennis sa sinabi namin.

Sa panayam namin kay Dennis, inamin niyang love is lovelier the second time around at masaya ang love life niya ngayon. Eh, do’n sa pag-amin ni Dennis na love is lovelier the

second time around ano ang masasabi niya? Lagi akong positive, positive. Kahit gaano pa yan ka-negative, kaya kong hanapan yan ng positive, ganu’n,” katwiran niya.

RICHARD GOMEZ is not allowing his daughter Juliana to go out on dates yet. “I think she is too young to go out on dates. She’s only 14. Let her remain a child first. Because going out, that could happen in years to come but now she needs to focus more on her studies. She can indulge herself in sports,” he said. With Juliana already in her teenage years, Richard shared that he and wife Lucy Torres are already working on growing the family and and have another child. “We’ve been working on it. We’re still working on it. If it comes, then good. Siguro boy naman kasi may girl na eh. Someday, hopefully.” When asked if how he maintains a great relationship with his wife despite their busy schedules, he relayed, “I think communication is very important. Spending time together, giving time for the whole family, to travel somewhere, at least being together is very important.”

*****

RICHARD GOMEZ said his most unforgettable award was his first, given by Gawad Urian. Richard reminisced that prior to that, he was nominated eight times and didn’t get a single award, which made his first ever award more special. Richard said he couldn’t help but cry when he received the award. Richard said being nominated “always feels good but mas masarap kung nananalo ka.” Nonetheless, Richard said getting an award shouldn’t be an actor’s motivation; rather he should give his best when he acts and then “bahala na sila.” In his latest Star Cinema movie, The Love Affair, Richard picked out two of his favorite scenes in the movie. One is the scene of Dawn’s character after she and her husband (played by Richard) meet up with a marriage counselor. The other scene is when Bea’s character is defending her relationship with a married man to her friends. Richard called Dawn an actress. He recalled how, during taping, Dawn was able to cry in a scene after having a laughter-filled conversation with him off camera. Richard said Dawn asked the director for a minute to gather her emotions and then she was able to cry the scene. Richard also said of Bea, “Bea is fantastic for a very young actress.”

When they first started doing movies together in the ‘90s, Richard Gomez never expected he and Dawn Zulueta would still be headlining projects almost two decades later. “I think the reason that the two of us are doing very well is because I think we keep the fantasy alive sa utak ng mga viewers namin. And most of all our fans are mga anak ng fans namin from before. Siguro we look good together on screen di ba?” he shared. September 2015

The 49-year-old actor said his history with Dawn as well as all his collective experiences as an actor has helped make their onscreen partnership even more compelling to watch. “Sa craft na ginagawa namin it’s very important to go back to your past experiences, sa mga memories mo. But as a matured couple sa movie, karamihan dun nangyayari sa buhay mo so hindi masayado malalim yung hinuhugot unless meron talagang mga eksena na kinakaialangan mong mapaluha. In some sequences may mga ganung confrontations kami. Talagang naghahanap ka ng tool from your past experiences,” he explained. Through the years, Richard said he has also learned a lot about love from his former relationships including the one with Dawn. “Marami akong natutunan. Well, siguro isa yung dapat matuto akong maging seryoso sa buhay. You have to learn how to understand and forgive yourself and also the people that have hurt you before. Pero yung mga memories na yun, yung mga experiences na yun dapat hindi mo rin kinakalimutan. Lalo na sa aming mga artista. We try to keep that inside a cabinet para yun yung mga tools na nagagamit namin sa acting. And masakit man or masaya, we still have it with us. We keep it,” he admitted. Richard also shared why Dawn is an unforgettable woman. “Maraming qualities si Dawn na wala dun sa ibang naka-relasyon ko. Of course given yung fact na maganda siya, maganda siyang tingnan, sexy siya, maganda siya mag-isip. She’s very intelligent. What else can I say? I’m serious when I say that. She’s beautiful, she’s very intelligent, physically she’s very sexy, mentally she’s very smart. And as an actress magaling talaga, top of the line,” he added. In the movie trailer of The Love Affair, Richard is seen angrily grabbing Dawn’s chest area in one of the more dramatic scenes in the film. The moreno actor said they prepared carefully while shooting the scene given that both he and Dawn are happily married with respective families. “Pinag-usapan talaga namin ni Direk kung anong gagawin kay Dawn and then tinanong ko si Dawn because of course that’s very sensitive that part of the body of Dawn. Siyempre it’s up it her to explain to the husband, kami naman we’re actors doing our scenes together. I guess napag-usapan nila yun,” he explained. After The Love Affair, Richard revealed he is set to do a teleserye with Dawn called You’re My Home in the Kapamilya network. “Masaya naman kami ni Dawn magtrabaho. In fact while doing this movie meron na kaming sinisimulan na teleserye. Tuloy yun, ongoing. Tinapos lang namin itong movie na ito so next week magsisimula na kami magtaping ulit,” he said.

Dawn

Zulueta

On being reunited with Richard Gomez: She also reveals how far she’s willing to ‘Mas malalim na kami ngayon’ fight for her man

I

n the Star Cinema drama The Love Affair, Dawn Zulueta plays the wife who cheated on her husband (played by Richard Gomez). This is the first time Dawn said she will play an adulterer, but she did not hesitate when she was offered the role. “Hindi naman. Nung binasa naman namin yung script nung nag-story conference, in-explain naman sa amin more or less yung magiging takbo ng storya, nagandahan na ako. So actually it's nice to put it together, all of us kind of collaborated also in putting the script together. Nag-meeting pa kami lahat about our characters. Vince, Ali and Tricia are very real people and I believe ang audience pag pinanood nila ito, meron ring makaka-relate sa kanila, perhaps hindi ka naging wife na nangaliwa, but you will understand why Tricia did what she did. And then you will probably come to relate what she did to maybe something that is also an experience of yours in the past and perhaps and hopefully understand yourself also better or perhaps understand other people better,” she admitted. With her partnership with Richard Gomez being one of the most popular love teams in the ‘90s, Dawn said she still can't believe they are headlining a movie again after being happily married to their respective spouses in real life. “Hindi rin ako makapaniwala na ganito kami kasuwerte kasi ilan lang ba ang mga kagaya namin na may asawa na, dati ngang love team pero hanggang ngayon ay tinatangkilikan pa rin ng kanilang audience. I really consider ourselves very, very fortunate. Kaya rin naman kami, as a love team tina-try din namin na mabigay sa audience namin yung hinahanap nila pero at the same time kailangan na din bagayan sa edad namin,” she said. Even though they had already started working together again in 2012 in the teleserye Walang Hanggan and more recently in a short role in She's Dating the Gangster, Dawn said working with Richard is still as fun as before. “I think mas nag-improve kami as co-actors. Mas malalim na kami ngayon (laughs). Marami din naman kaming happy times. Hanggang ngayon na-e-enjoy pa rin namin yun kasi kalog nga siya eh so enjoy pa rin. Pag meron kaming mabibigat na eksena ginagawa muna namin na comedy, ginagawa naming slapstick lahat,” she shared. Dawn said even though her relationship with Richard in real life had ended, she believes it worked well for their new movie. “Ewan ko lang. Kung kami siguro baka wala na tayong love team ngayon (laughs). Feeling ko lang baka hindi. Baka mawala yung excitement kasi siyempre nasanay na siguro yung mga tao na kami mag-asawa. Baka wala ng spark,” she added. In one of the more dramatic scenes in The Love Affair, Richard has an emotional scene with Dawn and in his anger ends up with him touching her chest area. Dawn said this was never an issue between her and her politician husband Anton Lagdameo. “Well as an actor kasi you usually take everything in the whole content and you have to understand what the whole scene is really all about. If you read the script the way we do as actors and you understand where it’s coming from and where it’s going, you’ll begin to appreciate what happened to the characters at bakit sila nagkaganun. So it didn’t really need much convincing. As long as I understand the scene and I’m comfortable with what I’m doing and I believe in the scene, why it is needed, then I will do it. Also what’s so difficult to understand is we were doing it in a torrid love scene. Galit kami, galit siya, may eksenang nangyayari,” she explained.

On Aquino and Abunda Tonight, The Love Affair star Dawn Zulueta said she believes couples drift apart when they stop communicating with each other. She said it also depends on the person on how long she/he will fight for the relationship. In cases of love or extra-marital affairs, Dawn said it easy to forgive an erring partner if it happened only once. She also said having to decide becomes more difficult when there are kids involved. Asked why it is a bigger deal in our country when it is the women who commit adultery, Dawn said it may be because of “centuries old traditions.” She said we are a matriarchal society and it becomes harder to accept when women commit adultery because “usually Nanay ang nagpapalaki sa atin, and ang taas ng tingin mo sa nanay mo.” Dawn said that for her part, she may give up on a relationship when the man has stopped loving her. She is also willing to fight for her man/husband “hanggang patayan.” Dawn explained, “It’s a life you built. More than just my life, it’s the life of my children.” Dawn also said of her The Love Affair co-star Bea Alonzo, “she’s lovely, sweet and focused as an actor.

Does She have a plan to venture into politics soon? Being a working mom, Dawn Zulueta admitted that it is hard to find balance between her work and her family life. But despite the challenge that her busy schedule brings, she makes sure that family is always her top priority. “I know it can really be tough so as much as possible talaga what is saving me is time management so I guess you need to keep the balance talaga,” she said in an interview with Push.com.ph. She added that she truly tries to play her role as a mother well. “You have to make sure talaga na you still have time for the kids. And that’s tough, being a working mom and both parents work. But it’s the kind of challenge and balance that I work for and strive for.” With celebrities joining politics, Dawn stressed that she has no plans to be a politician at all. “No, none at all. I have no interest in politics,” she stated. The actress said that she would rather focus her energy on her family and her career as an actress. “I’m happy where I am because I don’t have time for anything else. When I’m free, I’m with my children, to venture [into other things], I don’t have time for it so I’ll just focus on the kids.” Watch Dawn Zulueta, Richard Gomez with Bea Alonzo in Star Cinema’s The Love Affair now showing in theaters nationwide.
