enjamin Franklin once said: “In this world, nothing can be said to be certain, except death and taxes.” Everyone on this earth will die at some point, whether we like it or not. Nobody likes to talk about death or dealing with loss, and no one wishes to experience bereavement. It is usually only when we are faced with the loss of a loved one that we begin to look for answers. Dictionary.com defines bereavement as a period of mourning after a loss, especially after the death of a loved one or a state of intense grief; desolation; loss by force. Bereavement is also known as the period after a loss during which grief is experienced and mourning occurs. No two bereavement journeys are the same. This is because every relationship is unique.
