how does an engagement session work? Together, we’ll plan each session according to your needs, which might include photos for an engagement announcement or a save the date, however, all the photos will be timeless art you'll be so happy to have documented. We'll talk about where to take the photos and how to personalize the session. You’ll receive a downloadable gallery of digital image files with the digital rights that you will be able to save right to your computer to make prints or anything you might like. All photographs receive clean editing and light retouching as needed. Engagement sessions happen Monday-Thursday in Boston and ideally happen at sunrise or sunset. Boston offers a variety of locations with so many options to choose from. We will work together to sure you get a spot you love that. Check out some ideas on the next page.

Jamie and Ryan's session was in Beacon Hill and we ended with a photo of their car.
Julie and Connor live right next to Fenway and are HUGE Red Sox fans.
Jen and Justin's first date was at Thinking Cup so we started our session there before heading out to the Common.
Katherine and Joseph started their session at a restaurant in the North End to get some "Lady and the Tramp" inspired photos.
Christina is a figure skater and Eric, a hockey player, so the Frog Pond served as the perfect spot for their photos.
HUGE Bruins fans, Bethany and Justin brought their jerseys to the end of the shoot after the beginning was in a book store (Bethany is an English teacher-so perfect).

make it official I'll then send you over a contract. this just outlines the nitty gritty. you can sign electronically and send back to me along with the session fee and then you're official!
details you and i will hop on a call and work out the nitty gritty. we'll collaborate and decide on the best way to tell your story and share who you are and what you love to do. .
location we will pick a tentative date (it's OK if this changes) and discuss location. if you have an office space you want to work in, that's great! If not, then we can look for other options.
smile! we will spend 60-90 minutes together having fun, laughing and making memories.
and then? i will go back through images from that day and pick the very best ones to edit. i post sneak peeks on instagram, facebook, and curate a blog filled with my favorites. shortly after, you'll receive your private gallery and will be able to pick your favorite photos to keep forever. *please allow up to 3 weeks for photos to be delivered as I take my time to get them absolutely perfect!

F.A.Q. When do you prefer to shoot?
If we're outside, it's best to shoot when the light is low: either sunrise or sunset is ideal. If we are indoors we'll want shoot when the light is the best inside the space.
What is your availability?
Engagement sessions are done during the week on Monday-Thursday as weekend dates are reserved for weddings and the occasional day off. If you'd like to schedule a weekend session, there is an additional service fee of $100 and limited availability. How do I secure a session?
As soon as you say "yes" you'll get a contract to sign. Fill it out, and send over the deposit via VENMO @janelle-bruno or via credit card through the site and we'll secure your date! When will I receive my photos?
Photos will be delivered via online gallery around 3 weeks after the session. I like to make sure they are all perfect before I send them out! The finishing touches...
I highly recommend clients book a hair and makeup session before the session. This will give you the extra confidence you need to crush your branding photos! Contact me for a recommendation! What if I love all the photos so much I want more than 25? ?
After you receive your photos you'll have an option to order more than the 25. The entire gallery can be purchased for $250.

My goal with any engagement session is for the two of you to have a blast. By the end of the session I want you feel comfortable in front of the camera and us leaving as friends so when I show up on your wedding day you feel like a friend is showing up rather than a vendor.
