I’m Janelle, and I put a little piece of my heart into every family I capture and I’d love it if, by the end of our time together, I fit in to a little piece of yours. Making sure we are a good fit is the first way to ensure the best experience, so take a look at all this information and let’s set up a time to chat if you have any questions. of the things that sets me apart from other photogrpahers is that I GET IT ALL: the good, the bad, and the temper tantrums in between. And although I want to get you at least one picture of all of you smiling nicely for the camera, I want to capture so much more than that.

This is your time to be you... I want your family session to feel like special day for you to slow down and really soak in one another. It should be fun and a chance to breath and enjoy every single inch of your family. DURING OUR SESSION
You get to have FUN. You get to be yourselves. Most of all, you get to make real memories…. ones that you’ll actually want to remember. I care about finding the little things you love about your family and bringing that story out in our session together.

location... Shoots can be wherever you’d like. If you don’t have any ideas, I love to help my clients come up with fun and unique spots. Sometimes, this can even be from the comfort of your own home. Take a look at this adorable lifestyle family session for some inspiration. And do not worry if you feel your house isn’t photo ready. I’ve done an entire shoot in the corner of a client’s living room. If you have good light, I can make it happen. If you prefer to go outside the home, let’s pick the perfect spot for you: I’ve also done really adorable sessions at a carnival, ice cream stand, and a bookstore. But you don’t have to go all out if you don’t want. Sometimes, finding beautiful light makes the perfect backdrop. You’d be surprised where some of my shoots have taken place: the side of the road, a dog park, a parking garage—if there’s good light, I’ll find it!
Shoots are done within 10 miles of Boston, MA or Canandaigua, NY TRAVEL FEES MAY BE APPLIED TO ANYTHING FURTHER shoot me a message if you have an idea!

location we will pick a tentative date (it's OK if this changes) and discuss location. you can tell me what you have in mind or leave it up to me! the choice is yours.

and then? i will go back through images from that day and pick the very best ones to edit. i post sneak peeks on instagram, facebook, and curate a blog filled with my favorites. shortly after, you'll receive your private gallery and will be able to pick your favorite photos to keep forever. *please allow up to 3 weeks for photos to be delivered as I take my time to get them absolutely perfect!

F.A.Q. When do you prefer to shoot?
If we're outside, it's best to shoot when the light is low: either sunrise or sunset is ideal. That being said, the most important factor is mood of your little ones and keeping them happy, so keep that in mind! What is your availability?
Portrait sessions are done during the week on Monday-Thursday as weekend dates are reserved for weddings and the occasional day off. If you'd like to schedule a weekend session, there is an additional service fee of $100 and limited availability.
How do I secure a session?
As soon as you say "yes" you'll get a contract to sign. Fill it out, and send over the deposit via VENMO @janelle-bruno or via credit card through the site and we'll secure your date! Can my dog come and be in photos?
Absolutely! Just keep in mind sessions run about 60 minutes so we will take as many photos as we can within that time! Bringing a dog wrangler can help for sure! When will I receive my photos?
Photos will be delivered via online gallery around 3 weeks after the session. I like to make sure they are all perfect before I send them out! What if I love all the photos so much I want more than 25? ?
After you receive your photos you'll have an option to order more than the 25. The entire gallery can be purchased for $250.
