Do you want to use digital media in your classroom to enhance lessons and engage students? Did you know that it is a requirement in BTEC for students to present work using a variety of formats including video, audio, photographic and using online tools? In this course we shall explore different free software titles to edit photos, create movies, make mp3 files and use online presentation tools.

Using digital media to eng Introduction This is a unique opportunity to develop essential skills using digital media in a supportive environment. All the software we shall use is free and all the equipment needed to support the activities is available from the eLearning Centre as loan kits.

Course Content
• Use digital cameras with tips for photographing textiles/art work. • Edit photographs in art software, applying filters and using layers. • Use easispeak microphones to create audio files • Edit audiofiles in audacity to create mp3 files. • Use flip video cameras to capture video clips. • Edit videoclips • Create a video combining photographs, video and audio clips and text. • Explore Prezi, spicy nodes and bubbl.us
