Free art software for schools

Why buy software when there are freeware and open source titles available? On this course we shall explore different software titles that could be used to support the curriculum. We shall include: painting and vector graphics programs, animation and photo editing. You will leave with a CD of the programs we explore and a greater knowledge of how to source free software.

ON THE COURSE WE SHALL Introduction This is a unique opportunity to take a guided journey through various free software titles. You will make informed decisions about the curriculum relevance of each title. All the titles will be available on a CD to take away and use in school.

Something for everyone. There are a wide variety of free programs available. More than listed here. We shall experiment with them and make decisions about curriculum relevance. Layers will be explained if you haven’t used them before.
