How-to

SMART maths tools course Introduction: On this course we shall explore all of the functionality of the maths tools. We shall also investigate how to use the tools in the classroom to make maths lessons more interactive and engaging for students.

Shape division spilts a shape into equal sections. The sections can be moved independently to demonstrate equivalence. Coordinates can be plotted and labelled, expressions can be graphed and the contents of tables can also be investigated on a graph.

Content

• using maths handwriting recognition • plotting graphs • using shape division to split shapes into fractions • adding mathematical notation like π, <, > • drawing regular and irregular polygons and labelling interior angles and side length • using interactive rulers, protractor and compasses • using tables and investigating relationships visually

Bring maths to life by superimposing shapes onto real objects/buildings.
