What do you enjoy most about the role? I enjoy meeting a diverse mix of people and being part of such a dynamic team. Fine & Country is a very professional organisation and so it is important to me to offer a high level of service, as quite often I will be a client’s first contact with the company.
Do you prepare for your viewings? Having lived in Norfolk all my life I know most of the villages quite well, which is a great help. But I always make sure that I have been over to visit the property before I take clients around, and have read through the particulars so that I can answer any questions they might have. Honesty is the key; if I don’t know the answer to something I’ll never guess, I will check with the office and then get back to them.
Have you ever been seriously tempted by any of the properties you have viewed? I get to see a very diverse range of properties and need to be as impartial as possible, but there was one that really caught my eye. It was an old farmhouse that had been renovated to a very high standard, and as soon as I walked in I felt so at home. It captured my imagination and was my idea of a dream house, but it's good to have dreams!

A Fond Farewell We would very much like to pay tribute to our dear friend and colleague Geoff Beedie, who sadly passed away in 2013. Geoff had worked tirelessly as one of our viewing representatives since the launch of Fine & Country, Norwich in 2004. Geoff was available to carry out accompanied viewings for us seven days a week and had some wonderful tales to tell of his encounters with our buyers and sellers. One such amusing story was about the time one of the clients got locked in her upstairs bathroom, just before some applicants were due to view the property. Geoff, being the gentleman that he always was, entered the house, retrieved a set of clothing for the lady in question, climbed a ladder to pass her clothes in through the window, and then called the fire brigade to rescue her; her modesty still intact! Nothing was ever too much trouble for Geoff, and he will always be missed by the team here.
