A fabulous family ily day out Crowds flocked to 'The East Anglian Game & Country Fair' at the Norfolk Showground on the 26th & 27th April, with many of you visiting the Fine & Country stand. Although numbers were a little down on the Saturday because of the weather, large numbers enjoyed the sunshine on the Sunday, along with the eagerly anticipated spectacle of Frenchman Christian Moullec and his formation flying geese. Other attractions included over 350 shopping stands, children’s entertainment, donkey rides, horse boarding, a pet dog show and Richard Maxwell the horse behaviourist. Back from the Brink! Cameron Black, Sales Director for Fine & Country in Norwich, explains how in late May he and the team literally got a little wet behind the ears! We had been at our fabulous office on Bank Plain for two and a half years, and were thinking it was about time to do an internal makeover and add a few new touches. However something was about to happen which would bring all these plans forward quite significantly! My staff turned up for work as normal one Tuesday morning. It had already been raining consistently for quite a few days, but on this morning there had been a complete downpour, and when we opened the front door we were greeted by a river running straight through the office.
For the next week the staff didn’t complain or bat an eyelid whilst we waited for the office to dry out; moreover we managed to agree sales on nine homes! I feel extremely lucky to work with such a great team here at Fine & Country. But don’t take my word for it, why don’t you give us a call or pop in and make up your own mind, and don’t forget to admire our shiny new office whilst you’re here!
Having recently seen the movie ‘Noah’ and with no time to build an ark, we immediately saved two of everything. The electricity was cut and the phones were down, so we diverted calls, shut the office and sent everyone home. Workmen turned up later that afternoon, and the office, although looking like a bombsite, was open for business the next day.
